I'm Peter Michaels. With me tonight are Jerry Eisen and the beautiful Emma Chase Jerry Eisen: This is going to be a great night Emma Chase: You two ingrates just better keep your hands to yourself. Peter Michaels: I don't think you have to worry about that, Emma. Jerry Eisen: What does 'ingrate' mean?
Joss Thompson + Chris Morrisette The match goes pretty much as one would expect. Morrisette controls the majority of the action. Thompson gives it a good effort, mostly with cheap shots, but he just doesn't have the skill to take down the ex-crustacean. Chris Morrisette Wins at 9:32 via Pinfall Grade: B-
Emma Chase: I like that Thompson kid. Tons of potential there. Jerry Eisen: But he just lost. Emma Chase: He might have lost, Jerry, but he's a winner. There is a star in the making right there. Jerry Eisen: ....confused...
Playboy Jake Sawyer + Swoop McCarthy Backstage Segment Playboy Jake Sawyer is strolling through the backstage area and he comes upon Swoop McCarthy. Swoop is playing on his cell phone. Playboy Jake Sawyer: Hey, you're that Aussie kid! Swoop McCarthy: Yeah. Playboy Jake Sawyer stares at Swoop for a moment, making the youngster uncomfortable. Swoop McCarthy: You want something? Playboy Jake Sawyer: Just this... Ace Newton, Ash Campbell, Cameron Vessey + Casey Valentine All four members of Four Kings come racing down the hallway and surround Swoop. They surround McCarthy. The big youngster seems unsure of whether he should bolt or fight. The choice is taken away from him as the foursome attack. Swoop fights back and he fights back hard, but he's bound to lose just on the numbers game. Just when Newton, Campbell, Valentine, and Vessey finally get McCarthy down to the concrete... Robbie Retro Robbie Retro comes racing down the hallway as fast as the big man's legs can carry him. He plows into Campbell and Vessey, sending them flying. He tosses Valentine aside, and they he begins to brawl with Newton. The two go after each other and it takes several minutes for everything to calm down a bit. Sawyer drags Newton away from Robbie. Now ten feet apart, Newton and Retro continue to glare at each other. Swoop is pulling himself back together. Ace points at the Aussie. Ace Newton: You picked the wrong team, Kangaroo Jack. He then glares at Robbie again. Ace Newton: And you... I want my belt back! I am Generation Supreme, punk! Grade: D-
Peter Michaels: Next up, a tag team match!
Last Chance vs Black Label Fight Club The match is a bit of a clash of styles. The Blood boys of Black Label try to brawl, while Last Chance go for a more grappling approach. It doesn't make for the most fluid or entertaining match. Both teams show a willingness to bend the rules. In the end, Garcia and Roberts show a the wiles of experience as they outsmart the bigger duo by getting them to chase and then using a distracted referee as an opportunity to double-team Blood Bonham. That allows Roberts to get the pin. Enforcer Roberts Wins at 7:14 via Pinfall Grade: C-

Joss Thompson, Sean Deeley + Dawn the Cheerleader Backstage Segment The three are in a cramped little office. Thompson and Deeley are dressed in the standard business-wear, and sitting uncomfortably close to each behind the desk. Dawn is sitting opposite them, looking confused as to why she is there. Dawn the Cheerleader: So, like, what do you two losers want? Sean Deeley: We're not losers... Joss Thompson: And you know why you're here. Dawn the Cheerleader: Obviously I don't. Duh. Joss Thompson: You're here for the interview because you're interested in becoming our manager. Dawn the Cheerleader: No I'm not. Sean Deeley: You're not here? Joss Thompson: Of course you're here. Where else would you be? Dawn the Cheerleader: Interested. I'm not interested much then anyways. Joss Thompson: How can you not be interested? Dawn the Cheerleader: Because I already manage the, you know, SWF World Tag Team champions... Valiant & Geidroyc... Joss Thompson: Those two hippies? They're soon to be the ex-champions. Dawn the Cheerleader: They're not hippies. Sean Deeley: They have long hair. Joss Thompson: So therefore they are hippies. Dawn the Cheerleader: That doesn't make any sense at all, anyways. Are you two, like, stupid? Sean Deeley: We're not stupid. Joss Thompson: You're stupid! Dawn the Cheerleader: My Mensa card says I'm, like, not. Joss Thompson: And my Diner's Club card says you are! Dawn the Cheerleader: Whatever. Can I like go then anyways? Sean Deeley: No. Joss Thompson: We've barely started the interview, Dawn. You need to show more intensity than this if you want earn this job! Dawn shakes her head. The camera pans around and a face can be seen staring at the trio through the small window in the to the office. The camera view switches to the hallway outside the office. They have a good laugh over some glamor-style photos of Joe Sexy. The Guru scurries up to them and stands in front of them expectantly. Valiant: Uh... Hey Guru. The Guru: Hey guys. What's up. Giedroyc: Not much, then. There is awkward moment of silence as the tag team champions wait for the wormy wardless manager to leave and he simply stands there. Valiant: So was there something we could you with? The Guru: I heard you guys were looking for a new manager! Giedroyc: Sorry, bub, you heard wrong, then. The Guru: Oh... I just thought... I heard... I... Valiant: Sorry Guru, Dawn is still out manager. The Guru: Oh well then... let me know if that doesn't work out... The Guru wanders away, looking lost. Valiant and Giedroyc are left looking at each other, wondering exactly what that was about. Grade: C-
Emma Chase: What are Thompson and Deeley doing looking at useless hags like Dawn for a manager? The crowd never really gets into it, except for a few individual spots. Marquez and Montero throw themselves around the ring with reckless abandon. They have a quickness to their style that Vessey and Valentine just can't match. That's enough to give the Diablo duo the victory. Gino Montero Wins at 8:33 via Pinfall Grade: C-

Marc DuBois, Steven Parker + Jessie Backstage Interview Jessie has DuBois and Parker on the backstage interview set. Both DuBois and Parker are stylishly dressed, with DuBois wearing his SWF North American championship belt around his waist, despite wearing khakis and a loose-fitting white casual shirt. Jessie: Marc, you've stated recently that you're putting together a stable... Marc DuBois: Not a stable, my dear. We are not horses or sheep. We are building an army. Jessie: Does this "army" have a name yet. Marc DuBois: Of course it does. Steven... Steven Parker: Remember Tomorrow. Jessie: Uh... what does that even mean? Marc DuBois: It means that we are the future, but we are also the now. So the future is now. The future is happening. Jessie: I'm confused, but okay. Now is it just you two? Steven Parker: No. Marc DuBois: We have already added a third member. We asked him to join our army and he was thrilled. Like us, he is young and he is going to be one of the cornerstones of The Fed in the future. As he is now... There is a moment of silence. Jessie: So who is he? Marc DuBois: Not who, mon cheri, but what. What he is, is wrestling royalty. The son of a three SWF World Heavyweight Champion. I am speaking of Rip Chord. His son is Jay chord. Jay Chord Jay Chord struts onto the set, joining his two stable-mates. The youngster leers at Jessie, who seems a touch uncomfortable under his gaze. Marc DuBois: Fear us, for we are three now. A triage of destiny. You must respect the future today! They cheat even when cheating isn't necessary or even helpful. It doesn't help the youngster that Swoop still seems a bit slow from his earlier assault at the hands of the Four Kings. McClean and Sexy work to isolate McCarthy and work him over further. Retro finally gets in there and does a good job of cleaning house, but he is slowed down by a low blow from Sexy. Retro can't kick out of the pin by McClean and Sin Inc get the win. The duo take their time getting out of the arena, flirting with some lovely ladies on the way up the ramp. John McClean Wins at 9:01 via Pinfall Grade: C+
Peter Michaels: Those two just love to cheat! Emma Chase: You say that as if its a bad thing, Peter. Whatever it takes to win. That's what makes someone a winner... winning... Unfamiliar music begins to play and the crowd seems confused. They are less confused when the Bumfhole brothers appear at the top of the ramp. They make their way down to the ring as their new entrance music plays. Dani Nevada: Ladies and gentlemen, The Amazing Bumfholes! Randy Bumfhole: Actually, Dani, we're going to be called The Immortal Bumfholes. Dani Nevada: Oh. Okay. Why the name change? Zimmy Bumfhole: Because while we are amazing, immortality is what we're striving for, bro. Randy Bumfhole: By the time our long and illustrious careers in the Supreme Wrestling Federation are done, we are going to be more than just Supreme Legends. We're going to be true immortals. That's why the name change, dude. Dani Nevada: Um, I'm not a dude. So if your next step to becoming immortal going to be getting back the tag belts? Zimmy Bumfhole: No. We feel like we can get those back any time we choose to. Dani Nevada: So singles titles? Randy Bumfhole: Yeah, me and Zim think either of us could take the North American championship away from DuBois if given the chance. Zimmy Bumfhole: But we want to be clear on one thing - building our immortality is not about winning titles. Randy Bumfhole :That's right, R-Bum. The gold is nice, dude. But it takes more than gold to become immortal. Dani Nevada: It does? Because wrestling immortality usually seems to be based on championships. Zimmy Bumfhole: Not to us, dude. Dani Nevada: Again, I'm not a dude. Randy Bumfhole: We believe that becoming immortal isn't just about winning gold belts. Its about finding your way into the hearts and souls of the fans. And we intend to to do that by coming out every night and putting on a fantastic show for the fans. Night after night, show after show. We're gonna the showstealers even when you aren't the main event. Zimmy Bumfhole: We'll throw down with anyone, anytime, and anywhere. The Bumfhole's do not back down from a fight. Dani Nevada: Is that what Bumfhole Dominantion is about? Zimmy Bumfhole: Absolutely, Dan. Its about doing the best you can in every match, win or lose. Its about doing with honor, dude. Dani Nevada: I'm Dani. Dan is my cousin. And again, I'm not a dude. Randy Bumfhole: Sorry, dude. Z-Bum is right. Doing it with honor is the only way for us. Dani Nevada: Whatever. You two individually wrestled Steven Parker and Ace Newton last week. Two of the best young wrestlers in the world. Do you two feel like you're representative of the new generation in SWF? Zimmy Bumfhole: Absolutely, bro. We are what this whole Generation Supreme deal is about. Randy Bumfhole: Its important for us to set an example for the rest of the young wrestlers in this promotion, both in the ring and outside the ring. Zimmy Bumfhole: The Immortal Bumfholes are the shining light. Dani Nevada: One more quick question - Zimmy is facing Steven Parker and Remo in a Threefold Threat match tonight. Any words on that? Zimmy Bumfhole: Just this - watch me win! Grade: A
Emma Chase: Those two are delusional. They aren't the future and they aren't the present. Remo will show them later. Its a solid match overall, though somewhat lacking in crowd interest. Neither wrestler can grab a real notable edge, not until Playboy Jake Sawyer provides a bit of a distraction. He doesn't actually interfere in the match, just holds The Bulldog's attention long enough for Newton to take control. He hits his trademark Fisherman's Suplex and gets the pin on Reed. Ace Newton Wins at 7:34 via Pinfall Grade: C-
Emma Chase: I know talent, and that Newton kid is going to be huge. Trust me. It shows the six individuals seated around a table in a classy conference room. Emma Chase: I'm not at all comfortable with the cameras in here. Richard Eisen: Well, they're staying. I'm tired of people accusing me of everything from backstabbing to genocide. So I want people to be able to see this process. All we're doing here is discussing who Jack Bruce will be given the chance to "prove his greatness" against in Supreme Double Jeopardy at The Supreme Challenge. Eric Eisen: I've been thinking, and the first match should really be... Richard Eisen: I've already decided who the first match is going to be. We're not here to discuss that. Eric Eisen: ....Okay.... Emma Chase: So do we get to know who it is? Richard Eisen: We're not discussing it. It is not open for debate. Rich Money: We're not asking to debate it, Ricky. We're just curious. Richard Eisen: Fine. Its going to be Vengeance. There is a silence, that borders on uncomfortable. No one wants to say it, but its clear that everyone is thinking the same thing. Eric Eisen: Look, dad, I'm not sure that's the best plan... Richard Eisen: I am an idiot? Eric Eisen: Uh... what? Richard Eisen: Simple question, Eric - am I an idiot? Eric Eisen: No. Richard Eisen: Then shut up. Emma Chase: We understand you have your reasons, Richard. We're just trying to understand it. Runaway Train: DeBones can't beat Bruce. Richard Eisen: I know that, Train. I don't want him to beat Bruce. I don't the belt on that lunatic. What DeBones can do is beat the hell out of Bruce. In the first Double Jeopardy match, Bruce and that psychopath kick the crap out of each other. And then "The Angel" is easy pickings in the second match. Eric Eisen: Smart. Richard Eisen: Of course its smart. Emma Chase: So who is going to get the honors then? Richard Eisen: Well that's the question, isn't it. I still need to decide that. That's why you all are here. I'm looking for your opinions. Don't think that means you all get to decide. I'm the boss. Runaway Train: Well, boss, I personally think its time we get to see Eric get a run with the big belt. He's already the face of the company. Eric Eisen: Well, I don't know if I would go that far, Train. But I'm getting there. Emma Chase: What about my boys? Richard Eisen: What about them? Rich Money: Look, if we want a new champion in the Supreme Wrestling Federation who is talented, charming, popular, and devilishly handsome, there's only one choice here. Me. Look, we all know I'm money. If you want a champion who truly represents what the Supreme Wrestling Federation is about, it's gotta be this guy. Richard Eisen: While I can't argue with that, Rich, I'm just not sure I can trust you. Rich Money: And what the hell does that mean? Richard Eisen: It means what it means. I need world champion in the Federation that I can trust implicitly. Who is going to listen to me and not decide to "do their own thing". I'm just a bit concerned that you're a bit too much of your own man, Rich. Rich Money: What's wrong with being an individual? Emma Chase: What about Brandon? Richard Eisen: Well, he definitely takes orders well. My concern with Brandon is that he might be loyal to... certain people... and that could cause problems. Emma Chase: I wouldn't worry about that. Richard Eisen: I have to worry about that, Emma. Emma Chase: Well, what about Remo? Richard Eisen: I'm not sure. Do you like taking orders, Remo? Remo: I'm not your monkey. Richard Eisen: Which is pretty much what I thought. Rich Money: Well, if you aren't going to heel my words of widsom, Hard Cash is out of here. Think about what I said, Ricky. It doesn't get better than Money. You can bank on it. With that, Rich Money leaves. Hesitating just a second, Remo follows him out. Richard Eisen: Look, I'm going to have to put a lot more thought into this. Now Emma, have you talked to Vibert about that stupid Supreme belt of his? Emma Chase: I did. Old Phil is still suseptible to my charms. I'm sure we can get one of my Big Money boys in there for that thing, if that's what we decide. Runaway Train: Do we want the stupid thing? It's probably ugly as hell. Eric Eisen: It doesn't matter if its ugly. The Supreme Protectorate needs to control both major titles in the SWF, Train. And I've tried talking to him as well but he doesn't seem to care what I have to say. Richard Eisen: We're definitely going to have to see about reigning Vibert in. I have some ideas on that... Runaway Train: So we're not going to decide about Double Jeopardy? Richard Eisen: Look, the final decision is mine. No one else's. I'm the boss. I'll decide it when I'm ready and I don't have to justify it to anyone else if I choose not to. No one dares disagree with the Supreme supremo. Grade: B+
Peter Michaels: Eisen's attempt at legitimizing this whole farce... Emma Chase: I'll stop you right there, Peter. This isn't a farce. This is Jack Bruce's opportunity to prove his greatness as the SWF World Heavyweight champion. Its what he's asked for. Peter Michaels: My ass. Jerry Eisen: Peter! With Valiant's manager and tag team partner at ringside, along with DuBois' "Remember Tomorrow" stable-mates, there is plenty of action outside of the ring. Referee Darren Smith lets quite a bit go. The ringside "spectators" don't end up deciding the match anyway, as the champion overwhelms Valiant with some aerial moves - including a nice swanton bomb. He then gets his Model Solution sleeper hold locked on and puts Valiant down. A segment intro logo informs viewers that it is another "Moments with Money" segment. Money is wearing an expensive-looking slacks-and-sweater combination, while Remo is wearing a Big Money Incorporated T-shirt over his ring gear. Rich Money: Welcome back, Money-ites. We're here with another edition of Moments with Money. We have a few things to talk about. Let's start by talking about Jack Bruce. Remo: Do we have to? Bruce is already full of himself. Rich Money: He's definitely full of something. And you're right - there isn't much use talking about the "Decadent Champion" at this point, as he's nearing the end of his wretched reign. I do, however, want to talk about those Bumfholes... Remo: Really? Are they any more worthwhile discussing? Rich Money: Not really. But I do want to express my outrage over what I heard those two say earlier. Immortals? Maybe before you decide to call yourself "immortal", you might consider winning a few matches that matter. Remo: You got that right, Rich. Rich Money: You can't be money if you don't produce. Who cares how the fans feel about what you do in the ring, anyway. Its about winning. Remo: D*mned right it is. Rich Money: But enough about bumhole domination. I also had a little video I wanted to show. A little reminiscence of one of Big Money Incorporated's greatest hits... A video begins to play on an unbelievably massive flat screen monitor situated to the left of the duo. It shows a shortened version of their assault on the Supreme One headquarters from a few months back, with a particular focus on the head of Christian Faith's statue being removed. Rich Money: Ah, shenanigans! You can't get that kind of stuff from any other promotion on TV... those you can still get on TV! You can bank on that! Grade: A*
Peter Michaels: Now, a big threeway match! Jerry Eisen: Emma, shouldn't you be up there managing Remo? Emma Chase: Trust me, Remo doesn't need my held with these two. He never really seems in danger of losing the match. Parker and Bumfhole seem unable to deal with the overwhelming power of the bigger man, other than some short sequences where they attempt to double-team him. There is a short sequence halfway through the match where Zimmy does quite well one-on-one against Remo, but he never does manage to take him off his feet. The match breaks down when Jay Chord and Marc DuBois show up at ringside, with the North American champion wearing his title belt over street clothes. Randy Bumfhole soon appears as well, and he gets into a verbal confrontation with Chord. DuBois takes off his belt long enough to bash the younger Bumfhole with it. Seeing this, Zimmy races across the ring, leaps onto the top turnbuckle and dives onto Chord and DuBois - an amazing display of daring athleticism. Parker slides out of the ring and gets involved. The five men start to brawl, but its quickly broken up by officials. Remo stays in the ring, simply watching, and he looks surprised when he's announced the winner by referee Jay Fair after the other pair are counted out. Remo Wins at 11:54 via Count Out Grad: B+
Emma Chase: You two... gentlemen will have to excuse me. Brandon does need my help. James starts to get the better, listening to the shrill orders of Emma Chase. Gilmore changes up his approach, slowing things down and using a more technical approach. He effectively ties up the bigger man and wears him down. As expected "Big Money" powers back, and takes control when Emma distracts the referee for a moment. That proves to be the undoing of the match, however, as Gilmore shortly after pulls Chase into the ring off the apron after knocking James from the ring. The big heavyweight comes lumbering to the aid of his manager, bringing a chair into the ring with him. Gilmore dodges the swinging chair and pushes Chase into his opponent. Referee Ric Young tires to take control, but there is essentially a tug-of-war between James and Gilmore over Emma and the Chair. When the manager is finally the one to take the chair shot, and Young has no choice but to disqualify both men. This time its for Jack Bruce, and there's no mistaken his music when it begins to play. He takes the time to show off his beloved SWF World Heavyweight championship before letting the beauty get to the interview. Dani Nevada: Jack, Richard Eisen announced last week that you would face Supreme Double Jeopardy at The Supreme Challenge 28. How do you feel about that? Jack Bruce: Out here in the fields, I fight for my meals. I get back into my living. I don't need to fight to prove I'm right and I don't need to be forgiven. At Supreme Challenge, its going to be Show Time! The crowd roars their approval Dani Nevada: I'm not sure what that means, champ. Um, how do you feel about having to face Vengeance once again? Jack Bruce: I don't fear Vengeance. When a man is a man, he doesn't act to a plan. He don't have to perform like John Wayne in some B feature. A man is a man, when he can offer his hand, not afraid of appearing insane if he can't break a brick. I know a man who's a man who can't you sometimes crack a smile. Do you think if you did we would run and tell? I know one day your big villain style will collapse as they turn the key in the door of your cell. A confused Dani Nevada laughs. Dani Nevada: Okay, champ, you're going to have to translate that a bit. Jack Bruce: Dani, it means that you can't ground the Long Island Angel. No plan of the bad man Richard Eisen is going to scare me into submission. Because no matter what obstacle you try to place in front of this man, its still... Show Time! The crowd roars, and Bruce goes back to egging them on. A confused Dani Nevada is left to figure out that the interview - and the show - is over. Just a head's up - I am trying to keep the first page up-to-date as a front page. The roster is usually pretty up-to-date. I am, however, running into some "fun" with the links to Youtube - the play buttons - going dead. Which means they are also dead if I've used them in a show. Should anyone notice any dead links, please let me know. I'm not going to go back and edit all the shows it may have been used on, but I will update the front page and make sure I don't keep using the dead link on new shows. Thanks!

Random thought of the day... does being successful ever get old? Because it sure doesn't seem like it. For most of the past week, Eisen has been difficult to be around. All of them, really. But specifically daddy Richard. Ever since the news about TCW first came down, he's been gliding around with a smirk on his face that I can only describe as "sh*t-eating". It's like he won the lottery right after a threesome with the two most beautiful women in the world on the same day as he was told there's a condo in heaven reserved for him when he dies. In other words, the Supreme supremo is some combination of enduring ecstasy, elation, and satisfaction. It isn't difficult to figure out why. The fall of Total Championship Wrestling. The TEW website calls it "The Sorrow of Cornell". To say that industry has been buzzing about this over the past week would be like saying that Chicago had a bit of a bonfire back in 1871. I've been on the web forums a lot in the past few days, and they're simply engorged with opinion and debate about the whole situation. Some fans think its great while others feel that judgment day is nigh. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground. Personally, I think the whole situation is being overblown, at least by the fans. Yes, TCW has taken a pretty big blow. Dropping to cult was a hit. Losing both of their TV shows was an even bigger hit. Cornell's promotion is in some trouble right now... but its not as its going to disappear. At worst, they are about the same level as Sam Strong's USPW, minus the TV deal. Yes, its a big setback from TCW, but they aren't shutting the doors. The Eisen's are endlessly thrilled by the whole situation, of course. They have never publicly acknowledged TCW as legitimate competition to the Supreme Empre, but it was. It might not be so much for the moment, but in time, it likely will be again. For the moment, the competition has been defeated. The Eisen's are victorious and the empire is safe... Haven't we gone through all this before? More than once? Apparently winning just doesn't' get old. What we've done over the past few months played a role in TCW's fall, of course. My booking has put Supreme in the best position they've been in over the past few years - in terms of ratings, pay per view buys, and fan response. The signing of talent away from Total hurt them as much or more, and I had nothing directly to do with that. Unless you count the fact that I gave honest answers to Richard when he asked if I thought we could use a given wrestler. My answer was always honest and always the same - of course we can. Whoever they are, we can find a way to use them. The Eisen clan have hardly been the only ones who have taken outright joy in all of this. A great many people within The Fed have enjoyed the downfall of the competition. Should we be elated? Total Championship Wrestling takes a major step backward is certainly good for the Supreme Wrestling Federation... but is it good for professional wrestling as a whole? Already a couple workers off the TCW roster have been released. They are not likely to be out of work long, but should we be happy about this? The whole situation still bothers me somewhat. Every time I find myself thinking about what's transpired over the past few months - the drop in size, the loss of one show, then the other - I feel like there is some lesson there. But what lesson? What am I supposed to take from this? I find myself thinking about this a lot lately, but the situations of the two promotions are different in so many ways. I had an early morning meeting with Richard before I had to fly out for the Legends show tonight. I was dreading the meeting, The meetings with the big boss typically don't bother me, but I figured he would either be at his smug best or want to talk endlessly about Cornell and TCW. The meeting turned out to be fine. We mostly talked about the lead up to The Supreme Challenge and the possible fallout from that. We were actually planning things out months in advance. With some flexibility, obviously. This was something that wrestling promotions as big as the SWF were supposed to do, but something they had apparently moved away from over the past few years. How as that a smart move? A promotion the size of the Supreme Wrestling Federation has no excuse for not looking beyond the next pay per view at all when booking. No excuse at all. At the end of the meeting, Eisen grabbed something out of a locked drawer in his desk. He held it out to me. A plain manila envelope. "Take this," he ordered. "Protect it." I hoped that my hestitation to take it wasn't as obvious as it felt. "And this is?" "Expensive," Eisen answered. "You don't want to know how much all of that cost me. So protect it. Do not lose that. Do not copy it. When you're done with it, I want it back." "But what is it?" "A list of names. Contracts. Expiry dates." I understood. Professional wrestling isn't like professional baseball or football. There is no organizational body that sets rules regarding the release of information such as contractual status. The only people who know are those involved - the promotion, the worker, and the workers representatives. Most promotions work to protect contract information, in the hopes that if an important worker on an exclusive deal comes up for renewal, they can get a new deal in place before any other promotions can even make an offer. It doesn't always work that well, but it often does. A few months ago, Wolf Hawkins deal came up for renewal with Total Championship Wrestling. Eisen found out and made contact with Hawkins' agent, but was told the youngster had already agreed in principle to a new deal with Cornell's promotion. Even when told an offer from the SWF would be very lucrative, the agent said Hawkins would not go back on his word. I honestly doubt Hawkins would have left his mentor Cornell regardless of the size of the offer, but no one on this end knows for sure. The Eisen's are convinced they could have stolen Hawkins away if they had found out earlier about his contract status. Hence this list. Richard gave me a quick explanation. There were two lists inside the folder. One was the notable wrestlers who were currently on exclusive deals that were expiring within the next ten months. At least every one they could find out about. Included was the expected date of expiry of the existing contract. I almost asked if this was necessary. The SWF was already on top of the wrestling world. By a large margin. The "enemy" had been defeated, at least for the moment. But Richard Eisen was not content to rest on his laurels. Therefore, the Supreme Wrestling Federation was not content to stay static, either. The second list was longer. It was workers who were currently not on exclusive deals. This list had been compiled by the scouts that the SWF employed. I read those scouting reports regularly, so all the names on that list should be familiar to me. "What I want is your best couple of ideas for every name on that list. What role they could play. How we could use them. Anything and everything you can come up with. I'm more concerned about the bigger names, obviously. But anything you can come up with," Eisen explained. "The committee?" "Is to be left out of this," was the response. "We need to keep this as quiet as possible. I trust you. I trust most of the others, but I don't want to test that with this. So its just you on this one, Avatar." I nodded. He gave me a deadline. It didn't make me happy but I didn't argue. This was going to be a lot of work and it wouldn't matter how much time he gave me. "I better get going," I told my boss. "Gotta get on that plane." "I'll have the car come around," he nodded. Then he stopped and added, "Oh, and I'm supposed to ask you if you'd like to come by the house next week. For supper." "The house," I echoed. That had to sound stupid. "Yeah, the old Eisen homestead," Richard smiled. "Mrs. Eisen would like to meet you. She wants to meet the new golden boy." I nearly told him that the new golden boy would be Rocky Golden, but I held off. "Uh, sure," I had to answer, unable to formulate an excuse on the spot that wouldn't sound like an excuse. Within minutes, I was on the way to the airport with more on my mind and more on my plate. Supper with the Eisen family? This couldn't be a good thing... The Fry Report Preview
Every week on The Fry Report podcast will provide the latest information on everything Supreme. News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Wednesday, Week 4, June 2008 "The month of June is close to coming to a close. And you fans know what that means - The Supreme Challenge is getting closer! Things are starting to come together for only show worth of being called The Legend." "A big announcement last week on SWF Legends was that Phil Vibert is introducing a brand new main event championship, called the SWF Supreme Championship. I'm told this belt is simply fantastic and will be the envy of the entire wrestling world. Vibert announced last week that the belt will be won at The Supreme Challenge 28 and that he will choose two competitions who will wrestle for it. Will we find out who those competitions will be? Will we get to see the belt? I've heard rumors regarding both and I'll share those." "Also last week on SWF Legends, RC Dodger asked Phil Vibert for a match for Death Row. The big brawlers are apparently unhappy that they've become forgotten men in the Supreme Wrestling Federation of late, but that seems to have changed. Shady K and Knuckles find themselves in a tough match this week, teaming up with Kurt Laramee to take on Eric Tyler and The New Wave. They say be careful what you wish for..." "After losing his SWF Shooting Star championship last week, life isn't getting any easier for Darryl Devine. This week, he's scheduled to face Vengeance this week. Wrestling The Harbinger has to be a nightmare for anyone at this point. If he is going to survive and possibly even win this match, Devine is going to need some help from his Club N-R-G friends." "The main event for this week's SWF Legends is a great one - "The Legend" Christian Faith taking on Troy Tornado, a talented newcomer who is looking to make a name for himself. There are few more difficult ways to try that, but Tornado would certainly impress the entire promotion if he can pull out the victory." "Last week on SWF Legends, Rocky Golden's Faction told Eric Eisen that they were not going to join his "Supreme Protetorate". The "Chosen One" was obviously unhappy, and I've been told he was absolutely irate backstage. My sources tell me that the youngest Eisen is having to look at the Supreme Wrestling Federation roster once again in an effort to find associates that he feels are "worthy". Eisen will not be at the show tonight, I am told." "A big question many people are asking is who the SWF World Tag Team champions Valiant & Giedroyc will face at The Supreme Challenge. Two-time champions The Amazing... sorry, The Immortal Bumfholes? Four-time champions The Biggz Boyz? Perhaps new duo Sin Inc? Or even the young tandem Badd Kompany. The most popular choice seems to be The New Wave. I'll share thoughts on this." "Tonight, on CBA, don't miss SWF Legends!" Rocky Golden vs Jacob Jett Jett just isn't at the same level as Golden just yet Ray Diaz vs John Greed I'd say Diaz to get an impressive victory to seem more menacing as Frehley's backup Akima Brave vs Bart Biggz Bart's newfound passion to be noticed could be the deciding factor here, if the Samoans don't get involved. Brett Biggz vs American Elemental vs Kid Toma for the SWF Shooting Star Championship Kid Toma isn't gonna lose on his first defence Egyma vs Remmy Skye I can see this being very close, but Enygma will cheat to pick up a rare win Eric Tyler + The New Wave vs Kurt Laremee + Death Row This one should be an easy victory for Tyler and The New Wave Texas Pete vs Chris Caufield for the SWF Legends Championship Texas Pete is nowhere near the level to be worthy of the title Darryl Devine vs Vengeance Goes without saying Troy Tornado vs Christian Faith The Golden Faction won't be able to resist getting involved, DQ win

With me tonight are Melanie Florence and the man with the plan, Phil Vibert. Melanie Florence: Evening, Duane. Phil Vibert: I'm planning on getting a plan, actually. Duane Fry: First up, we are going to show you an interview that I did the other day with the one and only Dark Destroyer, Steve Frehley.
Steve Frehley + Duane Fry Taped Interview Segment Frehley and Fry are seated in an intimate interview room. The Dark Destroyer does not look particularly comfortable. Duane Fry: To start with, thank you for taking the time to sit down with me here, Steve. Steve Frehley: Not like I had a choice. Duane Fry: Well... thanks regardless. Now, first question. Its one that everyone has been asking since the Times of Trouble pay per view... Why did you walk away from Christian Faith, Chris Morrisette, and Angry Gilmore? Steve Frehley: I made a choice. Duane Fry: That's it? Steve Frehley: Yes. Duane Fry: You're entire explanation is that you made a choice? Steve Frehley: Yes. I don't know what else you want, Duane. Duane Fry: Oh, I dunno... Maybe a reason that you betrayed your friends? Steve Frehley: Why is everyone making a big deal out of this? I didn't attack those three. I didn't go in there and cost them the match or beat them down. All I did was make the choice to walk away. Duane Fry: And you don't feel that had an affect on the match? Steve Frehley: Sure, maybe it did. But the only action I took was to do nothing. You can't blame me for anything beyond that. That's just the way it is. Duane Fry: Okay, fine. Next question... Were your actions - or lack of actions, if you prefer - at Times of Trouble payback for your friends not coming to your aid when you were attacked by Rich Money several months ago. Steve Frehley: Payback is a waste of time, Duane. You can't worry about the past. Duane Fry: Alright then, let's move on. Steve Frehley: Good. Duane Fry: There has been talk that Rocky Golden will ask for a match against you at The Supreme Challenge 28. How do you feel about that? Steve Frehley: A waste of time. Duane Fry: You don't want to face Golden? Steve Frehley: I'd rather be wrestling for the SWF World Heavyweight Championship belt. Duane Fry: You want to wrestle Jack Bruce? Does that mean you've talked to Richard Eisen about the Double Jeopardy? Steve Frehley: I'm not going to answer that. Duane Fry: Okay... Uh... So you don't think its worth your time to wrestling Rocky Golden? Steve Frehley: It's a waste of my time. He's a big child and he can't beat me. He hasn't earned it, either. Who has he beat since he got here? No one. There are no free rides in the Supreme Wrestling Federation. If he wants a shot at a top dog, he has to earn it first. Duane Fry: And you don't think Golden has earned it? Steve Frehley: Do you? Duane Fry: Um, well... Let's move on, shall we? Steve Frehley: Fine. Duane Fry: One last question, Steve. Steve Frehley: Whatever. Duane Fry: The SWF Supreme Championship that Phil Vibert introduced last week... It seems like everyone in The Fed is trying to get their name in there for it. You don't seem interested. Why not? Steve Frehley: Because that belt means nothing to me. Who cares about some new belt? There's no history there. No legacy of great wrestlers who have held it. It would mean less to me than the North American belt did. And you remember what I did with that? Duane Fry: You walked away. Steve Frehley: That's right. I walked away. I am focused on one thing - finding a way to get the SWF World Heavyweight championship back. If that means I have to get off this brand and back onto Supreme, so be it. That's just the way it is. Duane Fry: Thanks for taking the time with me today, Steve. Duane offers his hand. From behind his sunglasses, Frehley glares for a moment, then gets up and walks away, leaving Fry's hand unshaken. Grade: B+
Melanie Florence: That is one angry bloke. Duane Fry: I believe the term is 'unrequited issues'. I think Steve has a few of them Phil Vibert: Don't let him hear hear you saying that. Jett never manages to put together any offense that really seems to cause Golden any problems. The bigger man toys with the lightweight Jett, tossing him around and clearly enraging the crowd. Golden has Jett nearly unconscious before he puts him in The Rack, forcing referee Ryan Holland to stop the match when Jett seems unconscious. Becuz this is just tha start. We're gonna be tag team champions soon too! Ana Garcia: Okay. Sure. What about a rematch with Darryl Devine? BJ O'Neill: He ain't gonna get a rematch. He goes in there and goes after the bigger man. The lightweight simply isn't able to hit Diaz with anything that phases Frehley's cohort. Diaz gets a fairly easy win after he sends Greed flying with his Monster Mash clothesline then the Ray Gun piledriver. It doesn't help that the crowd never really gets into it. Bart Biggz looks a bit more aggressive than normal. Once Caufield departs, it becomes apparent why Pete suck around. The Faction makes their way down to ringside, lead by Rocky Golden. "The Golden Boy" gets quite the reception from the crowd and its not a warm one. They climb into the ring. In the ring, Golden grabs a microphone and addresses a tired, battered, and looking apologetic. Well, as unapologetic as the near-emotionless cowboy is capable of looking. Rocky Golden: Hmmm... Pete, I seem to recall telling you to come out here and take that belt from Caufield... Texas Pete: I'm sorry, Rock, I... Rocky Golden: I don't want to hear your excuses. I want to get the job done. The Golden Faction does not tolerate failure. Texas Pete nods that he understands. Golden turns his attention to the crowd. Rocky Golden: Now, I want to tell all you fans that being The Golden Boy isn't easy. It might seem all so glamorous and desirable, but believe me, its not quite as easy as I make it look. Kristen Pearce: You make it look d*mned good, Rocky. Rocky Golden: Oh, I know. And being The Golden Boy means knowing a Golden Opportunity when I see one. And this new Supreme Championship belt is that kind of opportunity. Now Phil Vibert, you seem to think you have some kind of decision to make regarding this belt. I guess you do... You have to decide who's worthy of facing me for it at The Supreme Challenge. It won't be an easy choice, as there aren't many worthy of challenging The Golden Boy. This creates a powerful wave of heat from the crowd. Golden can work a crowd. He lets them hate before continuing. Rocky Golden: When I win that Supreme Championship, its going to be the start of a reign of dominance by The Golden Faction. We're going to get Caufield's Legends belt. We might even get the tag team belts. And we're going to show everyone just why we are just that d*mned good. More heat. Another smirking delay from Golden. Rocky Golden: As proof our greatness, all you fans are going to get to witness Troy here taking down your beloved Christian Faith tonight. Another Golden Opportunity. Troy Tornado: The storm's coming, baby! Faith is going down! Kristen Pearce: You better get it done, Troy. He goes right up nose-to-mask with Vengeance before the match starts, and he attacks with a fervor when the bell rings. Devine is determined in a way he has never shown in the SWF thus far. He does manage to get The Harbinger off his feet, but Vengeance powers back. He goes "undead" and nothing Devine does seems to affect the big man. That doesn't stop the youngster as he keeps going after the masked monster. A vicious Reaper Leaper clothesline is followed up by the infamous Skull Krusher piledriver. Devine doesn't have enough left to kick out. The Harbinger gets the win and Devine leaves the show with a loss. I don't want to be near him! Producer: Get on there! Dani Nevada: No! Dani Nevada suddenly stumbles on-screen, as if she was just pushed onto the set. She quickly composes herself. Vengeance doesn't seem to notice. Dani Nevada: Um, I'm here with The Harbinger. Just a few quick questions, Vengeance... Vengeance: There are no questions about Vengeance that time will not answer. For what is reaped must be sown. There is no stopping the vengeance that has been called down. No stalling what cannot be stopped. Dani Nevada: Um, okay. Are you going to be petitioning Phil Vibert for a chance at the new SWF Supreme Championship? Vengeance: The only gold that Vengeance covets is that worn by the dishonorable soul who calls himself Jack Bruce. None other is worthy. None other will satisfy the emptiness that is the void within Vengeance. Dani Nevada: Uh, so are you happy about getting to face Jack Bruce at The Supreme Challenge 28? Vengeance: Vengeance is the tool of no man. For vengeance cannot be wielded without burning all those who attempt to constrain it. There are consequences for those who even attempt it and those consequences will be felt... They will be known soon enough and they will strike fear into the hearts of all... With those ominous and somewhat meaningless words, Vengeance stalks away. Dani Nevada is left without anything to say. She shakes her head, then steps off camera to scold whoever pushed her onto the set. Grade: A*
Phil Vibert: That man used to have a good soul. The match gets interesting before it even starts, as referee Ric Young orders the rest of the Golden Faction away from ringside, allowing only Kristen Pearce to remain. The match gets underway and the two men go after each other. The put on a show, urged forward by a hot crowd. As the match wears on, it only gets hotter. Tornado slows the match and takes control with some painful holds, showing his mat wrestling skills. Faith seems to wear down. In classic Faith fashion, he kicks out of a couple pin attempts, then begins to power back. Faith attempts to follow a series of Faith Hammers with a Leap of Faith but is tripped by Pearce in the opposite corner. Faith slides out of the ring to confront the pretty young manager. Tornado distracts the ref and Pearce quickly jabs Faith in the throat, dropping him to his knees. Tornado slams Faith's head into the ring post, then gets the big man back into the ring and looks set to get the win, but Faith kicks out again. More battering from Tornado, another pin, but another kickout. Now bleeding, Faith seems to go into raging bull mode. Pearce gets up on the ring apron and attempts to interfere, but Faith pulls her into the ring. The ref sees the manager going after Faith again and calls for the bell. Tornado goes after Faith and tries to nail the distraction four-time heavyweight champion with his Star Maker forearm, but catches Pearce instead. That brings Golden, Bloodstone, and Pete out to the ring as the officials try to maintain control. Wearing something close to a smile, he makes his way into the ring. At the same time, two security guards wheel a tall pedestal out to the top of the ramp. There is a black cloth over the top of the pedestal. Ana Garcia stands beside it. Vibert: I have to apologize for trying to follow up a match like that with my poor words. But they need to be said and this needs to be seen. Now, I've spent an unbelievable amount of time over the past week dealing with the fallout from my announcement last week. The SWF Supreme Championship has everyone talking. I've come to realize that some people - including some of you fans - don't like the idea of adding a what is essentially a second world heavyweight champion. You know what? I don't give a damn. The crowd pops at Vibert's signature catch phrase. Phil Vibert: When I suggested creating separate brands for the Supreme Wrestling Federation, adding another world title was never my intent. Never. This is a situation I was forced into when The Genius Mr. Eisen decided to be clever and attach the SWF World Heavyweight champion to the Supreme brand. With all due respect to Chris Caufield, the Legends belt was never intended to headline. So I had to do something. I did this. With a flourish, Vibert points to the top of the ramp. Ana Garcia does some Vana White-eque pointing and gesturing. Phil Vibert: As I said, I've heard and read a lot about this belt in the past week. A lot of whining. People whining about things like the belt has no history... That it doesn't have any meaning... That it devalues the SWF World Heavyweight championship... I have one thing to say to all that whining... Bullsh*t. This elicits a cheer from the crowd. Still standing beside the belt, Ana Garcia eggs the crowd on. Phil Vibert: First off, its a brand new belt. Of course it doesn't have any history yet! Second, any championship belt is only as important as the role it plays and the person who holds it. The Supreme championship is going to play a big role on this brand and its intended to be worn only by the most worthy wrestlers. The most worthy champions. And third, so long as the SWF World Heavyweight championship is held by great champions like Jack Bruce, its going to remain as the single most important piece of hardware in the entire wrestling world. I am no trying to replace the World Heavyweight championship. Do I need to repeat myself? I am not trying to replace the SWF World Heavyweight championship. The SWF Supreme championship is meant to stand on its own. And you'll see why shortly. At the back, Ana Garcia does a bit of more Vana White pointing and gesturing to the still-hidden belt. Phil Vibert: Before we get to the big unveil, a bit of a history lesson. One or two people this week accused me of not respecting the history of this promotion. That's bullsh*t too. No one understands or respects the history of the business more than me. As for our history lesson, I'd like to remind all of you of one little fact - the belt that Bruce currently wears is not the same belt that Micky Starr won back in 1972. The name is the same, and its spiritually the same belt. But not physically. The original belt retired in 1993, when Bruce the Giant first won the belt. Some of you long-timers might recall a special belt having to be made for the Giant. By quick count, that belt has either been replaced or significantly modified at least ten times. You might recall the very nice Faith 2K belt that was introduced by Christian Faith at the start of the year 2000. That started the nice little trend we've since had of introducing personalized belts for some of our champions. I have nothing against that practice. But when it came to the Supreme Championship, I decided to go for something a bit classic in terms of the design. A design that won't change with each champion and won't go out of style. I guess you could call it iconic. The crowd pops again here, almost unexpectedly. Vibert let's it die down. Phil Vibert: Now, without any further delay - or history lessons - the SWF Supreme Championship! Ana Garcia pulls back the black cloth to reveal the belt in all its gold and platinum glory. The crowd is silent for a moment, basking in the beauty of the new belt. Then the audience erupts. The eruption grows to epic proportions when Christian Faith strolls out of through the entranceway to the top of the ramp. He has a microphone in hand. The big man is sweaty and still in his ring, still with blood on his face. He has pulled on one of his Have Faith hoodies. Christian Faith Christian Faith: Sorry to interrupt the party here, Phil. But I wanted to come out and tell you... That's a helluva nice belt. I think you chose the right word - iconic. Now I know you're still deciding who should wrestle for this belt at The Supreme Challenge 28. You said you want the belt to be held by the most worthy wrestlers. Well, who is more worthy than me? Four-time SWF World Heavyweight champion. These fans have Had Faith for over 20 years. You want legendary? You want iconic? That's me! Vibert doesn't look particularly impressed. Phil Vibert: You think you can come out here and tell me you deserve a title shot, Christian? Yes, you've been around the Supreme Wrestling Federation forever. You're also 41 years old. You might be the "Iron Man", but iron rusts eventually. You really think you have what it takes to win and defend that belt, old man? The crowd roars. They certainly think Faith does. The Iron Man smiles and let's the crowd die down for a moment. Christian Faith: Yeah, I do. Another roar. This takes longer to die down. Phil Vibert: Well you know what, Faith? You know what I think? I think you're right. I can't think of anyone more deserving in this promotion. At the Supreme Challenge 28, you'll get a chance to win that! Vibert points at the encased SWF Supreme Championship. The crowd roars endlessly... The wall of vocal love never dies as the show ends... Grade: B+

So a few quick notes... Didn't see that A* match coming. Tornado isn't even at main event level right now. He was for a short bit, but jobbing him and Pete to The New Wave the week before dropped him. His momentum is pretty high, though. This is also where I want to take a second and thank ReapeR once again for the custom title belt renders he's done for me. There's more to come, but the SWF Supreme Championship one is probably my favorite. I wanted something iconic and I think he nailed it. It reminds me of the Big Gold Belt, which was really what I had in mind but didn't communicate it to him. He still got it spot on. A full-size version is available on the front page. I was going to save the reveal for either the actual PPV or just before. But honestly, I wanted to share the render. Plus it seemed like a good way to drive the title story forward at this point. Oh, and please take the time to vote in the DOTM threads. That's not a pimp for votes, just encouraging to everyone who reads these diaries to take a moment to vote for their favorites. There are some great writers on this board, so show them some love!
Good show, nutter. :D;) BTW, I adopted the Reaper SWF Title as well. It's awesome. And yes, I copy everything you do. Watch out! ;)
Uh oh, we're going to have a problem... I'm just copying you, for the most part. We're going to end up with an existential conundrum here if we aren't careful... Seriously, it's all cool. I claim no ownership to any of the renders done, even the custom ReapeR ones done by special request. I did nothing more than ask for them. The Artiste known as The ReapeR is the one doing the work. The only request I have is for anyone using them in a diary, please give credit to ReapeR. And thanks about the show. Its only taken me close to 30 shows, but I finally feel like I'm getting getting close to where I want to be in terms of the writing. Still have a ways to go on the characterizations, but its all a work in progress.

Just went back and checked the predictions and realized almost everyone got them perfect. Suffice to say the booking is a bit predictable... Guess I'm a bit too much Sports Entertainment at this point. As I keep saying, I'll try to change it up a bit without going too far the opposite. And for those wondering about Devine jumping brands, yes, this does mean he's getting something of a push. I know some of you are tired of the guy, but there's just so much you can do with him. I'm going to try to create a Darryl Devine that is different from what's been done thus far.
Good luck and godspeed. ;):D I call my failure with Devine "The Curse of J-Silver", which has only one semi-equivelant, "The Curse of Monkeypox", which, I think is the only thing that can counter-act its mystical mark worthy powers. :D
Thanks. I'll probably need it. I've really tried to avoid using other writer's visions of specific characters. Its tough sometimes, especially when you think you're going to do something unique, only to realize its been done. I was going to do an "Alpha Male" character based on Brucie from Grand Theft Auto IV, only to realize that Comradebot had done something similar - and better than I could - with Bam Bam Johansson in his fun EWA diary. D'oh! I'm almost paranoid of taking ideas from other writers. I stopped reading diaries on here for a bit because of that. I quickly realized I was missing out by doing that. Plus, I've come to realize "borrowing ideas" isn't such a big deal if you give credit. I actually just recently read through J Silver's USPW diary. What an opus! My Darryl Devine vision is quite different. I actually do have a character who is not that distant from his prototype of Devine, though I'm trying to make mine more subtle. I've honestly never had a chance to Monkeypox's diary. I finally found it and will give a read through. If my vision of Devine fails miserably - which is entirely possible - I can always just job every ounce of overness out of him and send him on his merry way...

TEW.com Monthly Report: June 2008 Monday, Week 1, July 2008 To help wrestling fans keep up with around the globe keep up with happenings around the rest of the globe, TEW.com offers a monthly report on all the happenings in wrestling. United States
When the year 2008 is put into the annals of American professional wrestling, it won't be difficult to decide the focus. You could indeed simply title the whole chapter The Rise and Fall of Total Championship Wrestling. The number two wrestling promotion in America - and the world - hit unprecedented heights when it finally made the long-awaited jump from National to International status. The glory was short-lived, as roster raids by Richard Eisen's SWF and weak TV ratings saw Total plummet back down to Cult status at the very end of May. Things only got worse in June, as TCW lost not only Total Wrestling, but its new Wrestle Grand Prix. GNN Total Sports pulled the plug on both shows. It has left the promotion in a tough spot. Whether TCW can recover and how quickly has been a hot topic in the wrestling world through the month of June. The doomsayers who feel Total is done are few. Total still has established stars such as Wolf Hawkins, Ricky Dale Johnson, Tyson Baine, Genghis Rahn, John Anderson, Brent Hill, Joey Minnesota, the legend Sam Keith, and the unmatched Tommy Cornell. June did see TCW lose another star to their rivals as Scout joined his tag team partner Guide at SWF. There are serious questions to answer. At 47 years old, can Sam Keith keep going? Can TCW prevent further roster raids? Rumors persistent that another top Total star has their contract coming up and may be willing to jump to the Eisen's tune. Total Championship wrestling did end the month on a bit of an upbeat. The Excessive Force pay per view was a solid one, if not an outstanding effort. The main event saw Tommy Cornell triumph over eternal rival Ricky Dale Johnson. The show was give a B rating overall by TEW's critics. TCW's agony was only made worse by the Supreme Wrestling Federation enjoying a strong month. The debut of a second A show, SWF Legends, on the CBA Network has been a ratings hit. The Times of Trouble 2008 pay per view mid-month was strong, earning an A rating. It saw two well-worked debuts - Scout and Bloodstone -as well as the face turn of Angry Gilmore. The promotion also put on two A* rated matches, the first in three years. It was a very strong month for SWF right when they needed it. Sam Strong's USPW continued on its slow journey upward. It was unspectacular month, with the promotions Americana! pay per view in Week 2 being its best-rated show of the month, at C+. Only one title changed hands as Cherry Bomb took the USPW Women's championship from Alicia Strong. Though it is painfully slow, United States Pro Wrestling clearly is moving forward. It was a standard month amongst the regional promotions. In Week 1, RIPW held Night of Rage. CZCW's Surf Slam 2008 was the same week. PSW Wave of Mutilation was in Week 2. The same week saw FCW Night of Legends. NYCW held Phoenix Rising in Week 3. MAW's Week 4 event was Fan Festival 2008 and the only event amongst these promotions to crack the D+ barrier, as it rated a C-. Perhaps more strange - none of these events saw a championship belt change hands. With 2008 now half over, there is plenty left to be written. It has already been an interesting year in American professional wrestling and it seems likely to stay that way.
Canada
There were two big pieces of news out of Canada. Both revolved around North of the Border Pro Wrestling and both were losses. The first saw the Stone family choose to pull their NOTBPW Championship Wrestling show off the air after not renewing the existing contract. The second was not a choice, as superstar and former NOTBPW Canadian champion Johnny Bloodstone accepted an offer from the Supreme Wrestling Federation to move south. The only show that the Stone's put on was Jeopardy in June, a solid B show that drew 10,000 in Victoria, British Colombia. It was a solid mont for the DeColt's, as they put on a pair of B- shows that proved they are capable of chasing the Stone's. As always, Canadian Charisma Championship Combat was largely forgotten.
Mexico
It was not a particularly notable month in Mexico. The highlight was South of the Border Pro Wrestling putting on a series of B- rated shows. During that run of quality shows, El Diamante Azul won the Campeón de Menor. In the minds of many, MPWF may have closed the gap that SOTBPW enjoys as they put on some solid B- shows themselves. It was a quiet month for OLLIE and MHW, however. Perhaps the biggest talking point in the world of lucha libre in the month of June was a persistent rumor that the Supreme Wrestling Federation is eying up some of Mexico's top stars. There is a belief in Mexico that the American wrestling giant wants to "break into" the Mexican market and will try to snag some familiar names to do so. SWF also features Antonio Marquez and Gino Montero, both stars in their homeland.
United Kingdom
It was another month with little of note on the British wrestling scene. 21st Century Wrestling continued to climb back to its previous Cult perch. Jeff Nova is finding that difficult, however.
Japan
The class of the Japanese wrestling scene remains Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. Idle through the month of June, the number three promotion in the world is gearing up for a new tour in July. Despite a strong month for many Japanese promotions, PGHW can put itself further out ahead of the pack with another strong tour. It was a strong month for Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods. The fallen giant of a promotion finally regained some of the consistency that made it so great for so long, with the Super Impact Tour impressing many fans. The Burning Openweight championship was won by Nisso Yuasa. Perhaps the best news for BHOTWG was the resigning of Kinnojo Horri, as the promotion could ill afford to replace the 27-year old star. Another former giant, Golden Canvas Grappling, showed significant improvement. The promotion ran its Glory Days Tour though the end of June and put on some very solid shows. The GCG World Tag Team championship belts changed hands, as Yasuhide Tayama and Shotaro Ikina claimed them for the third time. The Golden Tour of Inspire Diversity Group International was also successful. The upstart rebellion continues to grow. At the start of the month, Tasuku Iesada won the King of Fighters title for the first time. Warrior Engine XXV continues to survive and put on bloody shows. They have a small following, but its a dedicated group. Like PGHW, World Level Wrestling was off tour for the month of June. A new tour is planned for July. Well, it was actually the only news out of Australia with regards to wrestling. But it was good. Or good-ish. The show sold out the 1,000-person Fuster Hall and was given a respectable D+ grade. If that's any indicator, the wrestling scene in Australia could be looking up.

Random thought of the day... if levels of personal discomfort were measured on the Richter scale, my Saturday would rate about an 11.7. Many people never achieve any level of personal comfort around their boss. Every interaction remains strained, stressful, and uncomfortable. For the most part, that isn't true for me. I interact with all three of the Eisen's, plus Peter Michael, on a daily basis and I've become quite comfortable with them. Any intimidation factor that may have existed at some point is long gone. I've found a comfort zone, if you will. That comfort zone was completely gone Saturday night when I was invited into the Eisen Zone for a night. It was an abrupt change from what I've come to know and expect from the Eisen's. Disconcertingly abrupt. The Eisen Zone was a bit like the Twilight Zone. Nothing is quite right. Everything feels slightly skewed. You know everything if off but you have a difficult time wrapping your mind around exactly how or why its all wrong. It didn't make me nervous - I don't get nervous - but it sure as hell made me very uncomfortable. I grew watching the Eisen clan on TV every week, this wonderfully off-kilter and dysfunctional family that was part of every Tuesday night as far back as I can recall. Signing with the Supreme Wrestling Federation and meeting the Eisen's was strange because it turned out they are a model of professionalism when it comes to the promotion. No dysfunction and no in-fighting. Then I get into the private spaces for the first time and suddenly the version that we've seem on TV all this time looks so much closer to reality. I should have found a way to say no the invitation. I knew it at the time. Serious consideration was given to canceling with some fantastic excuse, even possibly pulling in conspirators to help me make the excuse seem legit. I didn't, sadly. My expectations of the night only got worse when both Peter Michaels and Christian Faith gave me some advice on visiting the Eisen Zone. Hearing things like "Don't let anything rattle you, id" hardly helped me build up confidence. Richard Eisen's home is ridiculous. The estate is a few miles outside the city, yet it seems like the middle of nowhere. The huge tract of land is worth millions by itself, let alone the castle-like dwelling that sits it. Given Richard Eisen's propensity for labeling everything, I expected the house to have some grand moniker like The Supreme Abode. But nothing. The unofficial tag of the Eisen Zone will have to suffice for now. The first moments of weirdness happened right after I arrived. I had been told I could bring a female companion if I wanted, though I said my girlfriend was back home. I seriously considered raising a bit of hell by bringing one of the young women on the roster, or maybe "Toni, with an I, not a Y" from Supreme One. It was a good thing I didn't as the four women in attendance threw me off as it was. There was Jerry's girlfriend, Eric's girlfriend, Mrs. Eisen, and Amanda Eisen. Getting introduced to them made me realize that, for a family that lives in the public eye so much, the Eisen clan has managed to keep much quiet. I recall reading somewhere awhile back that Jerry was divorced. Which might explain his girlfriend who looked to be about 19 years old. For added fun, she acted like a 19 year old girl, too. Which is pretty much saying she acted like a slightly less dumb and snotty 17 year old girl. As for Eric's girlfriend, she was lovely but looked like she's been put through the grinder. And I don't mean the emotion kind of grinder. In fact, almost everything about her - from looking old beyond her years to the fake boobs that she clearly liked to present - reminded me of a stripper. Eric's a good guy, but I wouldn't past him... And Mrs. Eisen clearly isn't the original Mrs. Eisen. I know I heard at some point what happened to the mother of the Eisen children but I can no longer recall if she died or if it was a divorce. The replacement was the very definition of a trophy wife - a beautiful statuesque blond with a rather cold and distant demeanor. She laughed a bit overmuch at everything Richard said, even if it wasn't really meant to be amusing, and she touched him a lot. It seemed like the kids just ignored her. As for the third Eisen sibling, I had completely forgotten the clan had a third. Amanda was in her early 20s and attended Brown. I remember someone mentioning something about her awhile ago, that she had never had anything to do with the SWF as she hatred wrestling. A few comments from her through the evening proved that to be true. It was a bit strange that she bore a striking resemblance to Eric and Jerry at the same time as she was strikingly attractive. The meal started soon and it was outright surreal. It started out pleasantly enough, with a few delicious appetizers and some nice conversation. By the time the main course arrived - some exotic fish that smelled, well, uh, fishy, but tasted delicious - things had clearly devolved. Jerry and Eric had turned into scrapping teenagers and were loudly arguing over something stupid - I think it may have been over who wrecked a TV they had when they were kids? Richard alternated between referee and color commentator, sending his wife into giggles with every inane comment he made. Tiffany, Eric's girlfriend kept busy by throwing her breasts around everywhere while Madison, Jerry's young squeeze, worked on drinking... heavily... I spent much of the meal talking to Amanda about Henry Miller. Try to drop knowledge to impress her while making it seem like I wasn't trying to impress her. By the time we finished the chocolate mousse desert, I was thoroughly sated and absolutely desperate to leave. Just how rude would it be leave? Did it matter? Watching all of this happen made me feel unbelievable awkward. It was like accidentally stumbling upon a friend's homemade porn and not being able to stop watching it. What has been seen cannot be unseen... After the meal, the entire group retired to the Big Library. I'm not sure if there is a Small Library somewhere on the estatate, or even a Medium Library. The Big Library is old world classy, through, with dark wood and dark leather and the smell of cigars. The classy offset a bit with some modern, however. There's a big LCD TV on one wall and a sleek Bang & Olufsen on the other wall. The back wall had a huge number of framed pictures of Richard Eisen with various celebrities. An interesting space. And we spent the next couple of hours in that space, milling about and conversing. It was far more painful than it sounded. The first while I spent talking with Richard. It much like a lot of our conversations in his office, except he was drinking. We mostly talked work. "You know, kid, when you and Vibert first proposed changing up the product a bit, I d*mn near said no outright," he told me with a laugh. The man has a very unique way of coming across as both fatherly and condescending at the same time. "I really thought Vibert might be trying to sabotage us. You know, the whole DaVE thing. But it looks like it was a brilliant move." "Yeah, it was," I responded. A smart business move, too, as going a bit away from The Formula a bit had helped bring in some of the cult fans that was left promotionless when DaVE went under. "You have a chance to go over that list?" "Most of it." Richard smiled at me for a moment, then asked, "So what did you think?" "Well, there's definitely some names on there I didn't expect to see," I told him honestly." That was an understatement. "I have some good ideas." "Of course you do, kid. When will you be done with it?" I shrugged, answering, "A few days." "Great!" And then we started talking about Total Championship Wrestling and their plight. For the hundredth time in the past week. I wanted to stab myself in the eye with a fork. Eric soon wandered over to join the conversation. That only lasted for a few minutes before Richard wandered away, probably to let Tiffany toss her oversized breasts at him. Eric and I talked about the business, too. It was not much different from most of the conversations I had with Eric. I like Eric. He's quite hated by the fans at this point, but that's quite by design. He's a helluva nice guy and he's really a fan at heart. He seems to genuinely enjoy every moment he gets out there. Its too bad more wrestlers didn't have his attitude. As we discussed the Legends brand and the planned direction, Eric told me something that I knew already - that he would love a chance to hold the SWF World Heavyweight Championship at some point. Okay, it was hardly an earth-shattering revelation. But Eric knew that as he was on the Legends brand, a run with the new Supreme Championship was more likely first. The admission about the belt didn't come across as a request, a demand, or even some sort of hopeful suggestion. It really did come across as a confession. It was like he sharing one of his unspoken dreams with me. I didn't really respond at that point, just nodded that I understood. The problem was that any run Eric Eisen had with the SWF World Heavyweight championship belt was likely to be short. His run with the SWF North American belt in 2007 was not that successful, because he's only a mediocre worker when you get right down to it. It would probably be a transitional title run... though that did give me an idea... Eric knew that a run with the biggest belt in the promotion would give him what he wanted more than anything else - legitimacy with the fans. Especially if it was a successful run, short or not. Through much of his career, segments of the SWF fanbase had never accepted Eisen because of who his father was. Was it really nepotism that had Eric Eisen in the main event? There are a lot of fans and some industry insiders who believe that. And in terms of skill alone, Eisen doesn't really deserve the spot he occupies. You could easily argue that skill does mean that much in the Supreme Wrestling Federation, though - Runaway Train hardly deserves to be a two-time SWF World Champion based on skill. The reality is Eric has generated heat effectively throughout his career. The fans bought his plucky underdog role when he debuted as an 18 year old, and they ate up the storyline of him becoming a wrestler against his father's wishes. Going against his father has gotten Eric over with the fans several times through his career. So has turning heel and playing up the relationship. It just works. Personally, I he has the position he does because of the fans accepting it. What many people fail to understand about Richard Eisen is that he is the ultimate opportunist. He is a genius and a meticulous planner, but he never fails to find and exploit an opportunity. This has been as important to the SWF as Eisen's revolutionary ideas and business acumen. I've heard that Eisen changed up initial plans for both Sam Strong and Bruce the Giant based on early fan reaction. I really think that Eric might have spent his career as a dedicated and hard-working midcarder if he wasn't able to get over with the fans. When the fans took to his son, though, Richard Eisen saw an opportunity and he exploited it. That's just how the man works. Eric and I talked about Total Championship Wrestling for a bit. It was actually a favorite topic of his. When he talked about the SWF's primary competition, there was no distaste or condescension in his voice, as both Richard and Jerry would have. There was something approaching respect. He talked Cornell's promotion down, of course. But you could hear it. The youngest surprised me a bit when he asked me if I was interested in coming by his condo the next night to watch the Excessive Force pay per view the next night with some of his buddies. Just to laugh at it, of course. I begged off. I made a trip to the little boy's room, and found myself confronted by Tiffany upon my exit. She cornered me, asked me a few questions, flirted a bit, rubbed her boobs on my arm, and then let me go on my way. In my haste to get away from Tiffany, I almost ran over Amanda. She laughed, saying, "You trying to run away from someone?" "No, just a set of boobs," I answered, hoping Tiffany was out of earshot. Amanda laughed. "My brother sure can pick them. His last girlfriend was a cast member from The Real World." We started to walk down the hallway back to the Big Library. "Fame has its advantages, I guess," I shrugged. "You tell me," she responded. "You're famous now, aren't you?" I had to laugh. "Famous? I don't get on TV. Ever." "Oh, I didn't realize. I never actually watch. I just know that you're dad's new golden boy." "Golden boy? Uh, no. I'm just a kid with a few ideas and a big mouth." "Ah. Well that's something too. And not to mention well-read." We arrived in the Big Library. Tiffany was trying to get Eric to dance, Jerry was staring at his stepmother, and Madison was huddled in the corner... puking? Whatever she was doing, it couldn't be good. I chatted with Amanda for a short while longer, flirting with her while trying to seem like I wasn't flirting with her. How could her dad not notice. Well, he was elbow-deep in the scotch at this point. Jerry soon made his way over and took the conversation back to wrestling. Amanda took her leave of us, so that Jerry could drop a bit of a bombshell on me. "I'm not that happy with the direction of my character right now," he told me. I didn't know quite what to say. I muttered something like, "Uh, I guess we can talk about that." I didn't know what else to say. I wanted to remind him that the current character was his idea. All his. I just found out recently something that few people realize, even within the Supreme Wrestling Federation. I found out that the Election storyline that bombed so badly for the promotion last year had actually been planned for a long time. A long time. For years, Jerry Eisen was a fairly bland babyface color commentator. He was a poor man's Peter Michaels, calling matches beside Peter Michaels. In late 2006, he acquired a new atittude. By early 2007, it had become a full heel turn as he became sarcastic, aggressive, and domineering. The new character was actually based on Phil Vibert, and quite obviously. The new Jerry Eisen is what served as the catalyst for the entire Election storyline. Sam Keith and the creative committee should impressive restraint in changing Jerry so gradually and not hotshotting the change to kick off the storyline. They also did nice work on the gradual face turn of Eric. The storyline... well, it failed. No need to relive that. Though I do have to appreciate it for the fact that I would not likely have the position I do without that storyline. When it had finally become painfully obvious to the entire SWF that the storyline had failed, creative was apparently struggling with a way to end it. Michaels says that it was Jerry who made the suggestion of a way to turn himself back into a face and Eric back into a heel - a vicious attack by Eric where he gave Jerry a head injury. They could kill the story by having Richard decide neither of his sons were worthy of succeeding him. Jerry was off-screen for a bit, and the "brain damage" he suffered from the attack left him as the simple-minded character he had played since. All told, it was a nice piece of booking to close off a horrible storyline. Too bad Jerry had those kind of ideas so rarely. While I could understand that playing a simpleton could get tiring, it wouldn't be so easy to change things up at this point. Continuity is a big deal at this point. There have been times in SWF's history where continuity was basically ignored and the promotion could act like what happened last month or last year didn't matter, but those were dark times. That was bad booking. Could we have Jerry Eisen suddenly "recover" from his brain damage? I know a lot of people regarding the Supreme Wrestling Federation as nothing more than soap operas for me, but I'd like to think we're slightly above that. Not much, but a slight bit. I had put in my time in the Eisen Zone and left not long after that conversation with Jerry. When I made my exit, I tried to say farewell to Richard, but he was busy making out on the leather sofa with his trophy wife, the two of them groping like horny teenagers on a ten thousand dollar sofa. Awesome. Amanda thanked me quite sincerely for coming and walked me to the door... I came awfully close to asking her out but thought better of it. Eisen's limo took me back to the dungy little apartment I share with Robbie. It was a Saturday night and it was still relatively early, so he would be out. I could try tracking him down but just didn't feel like it. The entire ride back home, I couldn't stop thinking about the night I had just experienced. Was that really the same Eisen clan that I've come to know and respect over these past months? Could I still respect them in the same way. Getting into someone's personal space can reveal a lot about them. Not always for the good, either. What did I really learn about the Eisen's that night? Did it actually change my opinion of the clan? I just don't know yet... Monday, Week 1, July 2008 Avatar

I must admit, I'd been looking forward to your evening with the Eisen's and I wasn't disappointing. A highly entertaining and intruiging "Thought of the Day" that managed to perfectly show how dysfunctional the Eisen's are as a family. Great work.

Thanks guys. Its great to know the readers enjoy them. They tend to be plenty fun to write, and this one especially. Its fun to be advancing the storyline a bit at the same time as I get to fill in some backstory. It really one is most of the most entertaining aspects to the diary, in terms of writing. The first few "Random Thought of the Day" segments were obviously just to give a bit of character background without making it the focus of the start of the diary. There's nothing wrong with doing it that way, but I wanted to do it a bit differently. I wasn't sure how often I would do the "Random Thought" beyond those first couple, but I would keep coming up with ideas to do them regularly. Right now, I've a ton of ideas for them.

News, rumors, and interviews, all brought to you by the incomparable Duane Fry. Preview for podcast available Monday, Week 1, July 2008 "We have a big show this week. No, not just a big show. A huge show. There is plenty to be figured out in the lead-up to The Supreme Challenge 28. Some great matches should provide some excellent action!" "My sources tell me that Richard Eisen may be ready to announce who will participate in the Second Leg of the SWF Double Jeopardy™ match. However it is, they may face Jack Bruce if he survives the First Leg, or new champion Vengeance if Bruce falls. I have some things to say about the leading candidates, and there are a few names that may surprise you." "I hear that we may also find out a few more of the matches that have been set so far for The Supreme Challenge 28. Nothing I can reveal just yet, but the match-ups I've heard would make for another memorable Supreme Challenge." "SWF North American champion Marc DuBois will face a very tough test as he takes on Chris Morrisette. Back in his Lobster Warrior days, Morrisette had two reigns with the belt. He'll be looking to make the young Canadian's reign short. Can DuBois defend against the veteran? Can he do it without help from his 'army'? Tune in to find out." "A few weeks ago, Rich Money gave himself the nickname "Hard Cash". The superstar is apparently determined to prove to the world that he's as tough and hardcore as they come. The main event of Supreme TV will be a special feature, a First Blood tag team match between Money and his ever-present friend Remo against The New Wave. Now, what makes this so unique is that Guide and Scout are actually part of the Legends brand, but are participating in the match by special request of Richard Eisen. Just one more reason to tune in this week for Supreme TV!"
The Fry Report will be available on SWF.com or directly from iTunes.
A special feature for the Fry Report... Brandon James vs Randy Bumfhole I can't see Brandon putting over a Bumfhole at this point tbh. Gino Montero vs Ace Newton Ace seems the more likely to recieve a push currently. Sean Deeley vs Robbie Retro for the SWF Generations Championship I can see Retro having a strong run with the belt, Deeley isn't over enough yet either Art Reed vs Ash Campbell Art needs a win to kick his SWF career off and this will probably be it The Heartbreakers (Steven Parker + Jay Chord) vs Valiant & Giedroyc for the SWF World Tag Team Titles Talented as Parker and Chord are, Valiant and Giedroyc are above them right now Chris Morrisette vs Marc DuBois for the SWF North American Championship I expect some foul play here but DuBois isn't gonna drop the belt too early The Almighty Dollar vs The New Wave in First Blood Tag Match An extremely tough match to predict but I'll give the edge to Money and Remo on this one
