ECW 2009 - Extreme? or just plain crazy?

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] Last week saw former WWE and ALPHA-1 star Brock Lesnar walk out infront of a packed ECW audience, will he make an appearance this week? In a Pick Your Poison challenge, Jimmy Yang has selected one half of the Tag number 1 contenders Daniel Ashcroft to take on Nunzio, whilst Nunzio has selected Brian Daniels. John Morrison's open challenge to everyone "on the planet" will be answered this week, who will his opponent be? And finally, La Resistance, having lost both singles matches against D'Lo Brown, will team up in a handicap match to see if they can finally end their losing streak. [u][b]Confirmed Matches[/b][/u] Brian Daniels vs Jimmy Yang Daniel Ashcroft vs Nunzio John Morrison vs ??? D'Lo Brown vs La Resistance

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] We open the show with a Vixen's tag match that see's current Champion Amie Gooding team with Pietra Riccardi, to take on Dynamyte and Hayakawa Itsuko. The match itself had nothing wrong with it, the Vixen's displayed their skills well and performed second to none, however the crowd were never really into it. Pietra Riccardi ended up taking the win with no outside interefence from FBI this week! [b]Amie Gooding and Pietra Riccardi defeated Dynamyte and Hayakawa Itsuko in 4:46 when Pietra Riccardi defeated Hayakawa Itsuko by pinfall.[/b] Dynamyte and Hayakawa start arguing in the ring about who was to blame for that loss before being blindsighted by Amie Gooding! [b]Rating: C[/b] D'Lo Brown makes his way to the ring for his handicap match against La Resistance. Once La Res are in the ring, it's soon revealed that both men will be in the ring at the same time, making the job harder for D'Lo! D'Lo has a chance to win with a Low Down until Dupree tries to push him off the turnbuckle, Brown ends up pushing Dupree toward Sylvain who in turn ends up being clotheslined setting D'Lo up perfectly for the Low Down and the win! [b]D'Lo Brown defeated La Resistance in 5:46 when D'Lo Brown defeated Sylvain Grenier by pinfall with a Low Down.[/b] Terry Funk's music hits, he walks out and tells us all that he's accepting John Morrison's open challenge! [b]Rating: B-[/b] In the first PYP match, Jimmy Yang took on Brian Daniels. A very poor match that Daniels did not look motivated for at all. Yang took the win with a Yang Time. [b]Jimmy Yang defeated Brian Daniels in 6:07 by pinfall with a Yang Time.[/b] Dusty Rhodes is shown in his office, he tells the crowd he's just finalised a non-title tag match for tonight seeing the champions the Tag Twins take on Kofi Kingston and Colt Cabana! [b]Rating: C[/b] Nunzio makes his way out to the ring for his PYP match, Daniel Ashcroft walks out with Wesley Jacobs. Ashcroft starts fast and Nunzio seems to trail off. He manages to get back into the match with a few counters and hits a brutal European Uppercut to gain full control. He loses his focus when Jimmy Yang's music plays, Yang doesn't show and Ashcroft rolls up Nunzio for the win! [b]Daniel Ashcroft defeated Nunzio in 4:57 by pinfall after a distraction from Jimmy Yang.[/b] We cut backstage where we see Tommy Dreamer on the phone, no clues are given to who he's talking to or about. [b]Rating: C[/b] We cut to a HELP! meeting with Kane, he discusses his family and mentions how he shares a special bond with his cousin, The GraveDigger. [b]Rating: B+[/b] Brock Lesnar's music hits, but its slightly altered, no weird sound at the beginning and takes a few extra beats than needed, out steps Freak Nastty which would explain the altered music. Mark Forrester makes a rare appearance, squash match anyone? It pretty much is, with neither guy showing much passion for the match, Nastty picks up the win with an F-5! [b]Freak Nastty defeated Mark Forrester in 5:19 by pinfall with a F-5.[/b] Freak Nastty celebrates but doesn't realise the music played is not his, but that of Brock Lesnar! Lesnar runs out and stands face to face with Nastty, he stares him out, then hits a brutal F-5 screaming at him that that is his move, and not Nastty's! [b]Rating: C[/b] In a very poor combination, Terry Funk takes on the unimpressive John Morrison. Morrison on the backfoot all the way, and doesn't help Funk look good at all. Funk takes the win with a Spinning Toe Hold. [b]Terry Funk defeated John Morrison in 7:32 by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold.[/b] Morrison is irate, he grabs a mic to the groans of the audience, he demands that next week his opponent be someone from a different company, he's sick of seeing the same people each and every week and wants a new challenge! [b]Rating: B[/b] M2N walk out to the ring and laugh at Morrison as he walks by. They get in the ring, and Mondo does all the talking, he says he's out here because he's realised something, he hasn't been the most supportive tag partner he could have been, and says he wants to say sorry to Nemeth. He says sorry, pauses, and finishes with "for not doing this sooner!" With that he drops the mic and spears Nemeth to the ground, he starts to beat the crap out of him until security rush the ring and drag him off.....What the hell! [b]Rating: C-[/b] Marco Petrucci walks out acting all ****y and smug, Dreamer walks out to a great response. Dreamer has a good spell of dominance but lets the yougnster get away with a few sly shots. Petrucci starts to gain an advantage but is hit with a Dreamer DDT. Dreamer doesn't capitalise on it, and as he stands Petrucci up, Petrucci charges and hits a brutal close range spear for the win! [b]Marco Petrucci defeated Tommy Dreamer in 8:51 by pinfall with a Spear.[/b] We cut backstage where FBI are standing watching Petrucci's victory. They walk out of the room as the camera notices a notepad laying on the floor. [b]Rating: B-[/b] In the main event we see the Tag Champs Tag Twins take on the European and TV champions, Colt Cabana and Kofi Kingston respectively. In the match of the show the two teams put on a clinic of a match. Quick tags, hot tags, hell any kind of tag you can think of this match had it and more! The tag champs constantly battled away not wanting to look inferior to their semi regular make shift opponents. The ending saw Cabana double teamed onto the announce table, and then Kyle headed back into the ring to hit his Hooked Neck Crack for the victory on Kofi. [b]Tag Twins defeated Colt Cabana and Kofi Kingston in 11:56 when Kyle Graham defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall with a Hooked Neck Crack.[/b] The camera starts to pan the arena as we ar epreparing to fade to black until Sean Morley's music hits. He walks out, and tells us all that, although he doesn't want to, he's been informed he must accept Terry Funk's challenge for One Night Stand! [b]Rating: B+[/b] [quote=Quick Results] [b]Amie Gooding and Pietra Riccardi[/b] defeated Dynamyte and Hayakawa Itsuko in 4:46 when Pietra Riccardi defeated Hayakawa Itsuko by pinfall. - C+ [b]D'Lo Brown[/b] defeated La Resistance in 5:46 when D'Lo Brown defeated Sylvain Grenier by pinfall with a Low Down. - D+ [b]Jimmy Yang[/b] defeated Brian Daniels in 6:07 by pinfall with a Yang Time. - E+ [b]Daniel Ashcroft[/b] defeated Nunzio in 4:57 by pinfall after a distraction from Jimmy Yang. - E+ [b]Freak Nastty[/b] defeated Mark Forrester in 5:19 by pinfall with a F-5. - D- (PGC) [b]Terry Funk[/b] defeated John Morrison in 7:32 by submission with a Spinning Toe Hold. - C [b]Marco Petrucci[/b] defeated Tommy Dreamer in 8:51 by pinfall with a Spear. - C+ [b]Tag Twins[/b] defeated Colt Cabana and Kofi Kingston in 11:56 when Kyle Graham defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall with a Hooked Neck Crack. - B-[/quote]

We wish Todd all the best in his new announce position. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/allWrestlingNews.gif[/img] ECW are close to sealing a deal with a new development territory. With ECW being upset with Paul Heyman's GWPE, ECW are looking to pull the plug on them and move to a new "home made" company in the same set up as CZCW with weekly touring shows, this allowing talent in development 5 chances a week to get exposure and more "on the job training". [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/logo.gif[/img] Nikita, formerly ECW Vixen Katie Lea, has been signed by CZCW. The former Vixen moved out to the coast and joined their roster in the hopes of impressing the traveling ECW scouts and landing a new ECW contract. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/topimage.jpg[/img] We have heard reports that a new worker will be debuting this week on ECW television. There's been no word on which show they will debut or in what position on the roster they will have, however, alot of reports are indicating this superstar has recently joined, and now has some heat on him for bypassing the developmental stage of being a "new signing". [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/wz_banner.jpg[/img] Brian Daniels' appearance last week was merely a one off, there are currently no plans for him to return to the main roster any time soon. Expect to see Mondo vs Nemeth added to the upcoming One Night Stand show. [/quote] [COLOR="White"]...[/COLOR]

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] This weeks ECW on Sci-Fi see's Raw send over their tag number 1 contenders The Heartbreakers to compete in singles competition. Who there opponents will be are unknown, but expect them to be in for a tough challenge! Last week saw ECW's newest signing Brock Lesnar attack and ultmately F-5 Freak Nastty, Nastty has demanded that he face off against [i]his[/i] "clone" to prove who truly is the "Next Big Thing". We will also see in action this week Mike Mondo. Mondo, who turned on his long time tag partner Nick Nemeth last week, will take on Jimmy Yang, a man who knows all too well the pain of having a tag partner turn on him. Will Nemeth even be at Sci-Fi this week? Finally, John Morrison has been on an impressive losing streak lately, and has demanded that this weeks opponent be someone from a different company, will anyone step up to accept the challenge? [img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] We kick off the show with a shot of Antonio Thomas and Johnny Heartbreaker walking into the ECW Arena! [b]Rating: C[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs, the self proclaimed number 1 contenders to the ECW Tag belts once again set out to back up their words. For the 4th time taking on La Resistance. That match itself was nothing special, but the bright up and comers took the fight to the established team and walked away with a victory after a Brainbuster 450 combo on Rene Dupree! [b]Ashcroft and Jacobs defeated La Resistance in 9:24 when Daniel Ashcroft defeated Rene Dupree by pinfall with a Brainbuster 450.[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs stand tall and celebrate their victory [b]Rating: D+[/b] Next up is a Vixen's match, no word on if this is a number 1 contenders match or not, but no announcements have been made for a Vixen's match at One Night Stand. Dynamyte and Hayakawa take the advantage by teaming up to fight of Pietra. The team doesn't last long as Dynamyte hits a Chestslam on Itsuko outside of the ring! Pietra tried to get some offence in, but without FBI around to help out Pietra is lifted and hit with a Towerhawk Bomb. [b]Dynamyte defeated Hayakawa Itsuko and Pietra Riccardi in 7:58 when Dynamyte defeated Pietra Riccardi by pinfall with a Towerhawk Bomb.[/b] ECW European Champion Colt Cabana makes his way out to the ring, his opponents reveals himself to be Raw's Johnny Heartbreaker! A very short match see the Champion hit a Colt 45 in just under 5 minutes for the win. [b]Colt Cabana defeated Johnny Heartbreaker in 4:42 by pinfall with a Colt 45.[/b] Santino Marella walks out to the ramp way with a mic in hand, he tells the crowd that he will be the greatest European campione of all the times, and he will prove it by taking the title away from Colt Cabana at One Night Stand! Cabana nods his head and accepts Santino's challenge! [b]Rating: B[/b] We cut backstage and see another memeber of FBI standing by with a mic, Marco Petrucci tells Kofi Kingston that at One Night Stand he'll be losing his title to Petrucci, and there's not a thing he can do about it! [b]Rating: C+[/b] Kofi makes his way to the ring to take on Raw's Antonio Thomas in a non-title match up. Thomas doesn't get much offence in as a more aggressive Kofi takes the fight to him. Kofi hits his Trouble In Paradise for the pinfall victory! [b]Kofi Kingston defeated Antonio Thomas in 6:49 by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise.[/b] Up next see's the "twins" as Freak Nastty has been trying to put it, go one on one with each other. Brock doesn't let Freak get much offence in and hits several F-5's to knock him out cold. Brock refuses to let Mike Posey call the match as a KO and locks in his Brock Lock. Freak can't tap out because he's out cold, Posey lifts Freak's arm, it drops, lifts again, it drops a second time! He lifts it a third time, but his arm falls again, and Posey calls for the bell! [b]Brock Lesnar defeated Freak Nastty in 4:47 by submission with a Brock Lock.[/b] Brock gets up and celebrates his return victory, but is stopped in his tracks by an assault from Vader! Could this be a message from ECW Champion Sean Morley? [b]Rating: B[/b] The GraveDigger walks out and cuts a promo on Davide Simeone, asking him how he'll feel being an only child after he gets throguh with Simeone's younger brother? [b]Rating: B[/b] GraveDigger walks toward the ring but is jumped by Gianfranco, they roll into the ring and the bell is rung. Gianfranco hits a barrage of chair shots and goes outside to grab a table. He slides back in but is hit with a legdrop to the back, and GraveDigger takes charge. He grabs a chair and sets it standing with Gianfranco being perched up by his neck. GraveDigger hits Simeone on the back of the head with another chair driving his throat deep onto the standing chair! Simeone rolls in pain as GraveDigger finishes the match with a Chokeslam! [b]The GraveDigger defeated Gianfranco Simeone in 6:55 by pinfall with a Chokeslam.[/b] The ring is set up with a table in the middle, we see papers on the table, the primary one being the contract for the match between Sean Morley and Terry Funk. Morley makes mention of a few notes that say "It's Almost Time!" on them, and demands to know the meaning of them! [b]Rating: C+[/b] Recently gone solo Mike Mondo takes on Jimmy Yang in a very short match. Mondo gets little to no attacks on him and ends the match with a Mondo Splash. [b]Mike Mondo defeated Jimmy Yang in 5:59 by pinfall with a Mondo Splash.[/b] Mondo celebrates but out through the crowd comes Nick Nemeth! Nemeth jumps the guard rail and gets a few shots on Mondo before he runs off! Nemeth gives chase as we await our main event! [b]Rating: D+[/b] Morrison's open challenge music hits, and out walks his opponent, wearing an oversized hood on a waistcoat, pyro's hit and the hood flys backward, arms spread out wide..it's...it's....IT'S AJ STYLES! [b]Rating: D-[/b] A surprisingly good match betwen Styles and Morrison follows. Morrison constantly missing chances to win the match, he even hits a Styles Clash on Styles but refuses to cover, acting way to confident! Morrison stands and waits for Styles, Styles crawls toward Morrison but nips up and rolls him into a Small Package! Styles gets a shock win!!! [b]AJ Styles defeated John Morrison in 8:55 by pinfall with a surprise roll up.[/b] Morrison stands up and argues with Foley, pushing him about before leavign the ring! With this news it now means that ECW have dropped ties with GWPE. We will continue to invest in their company however, but will no longer have any official ties. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/allWrestlingNews.gif[/img] ECW have signed several new workers this week. Bringing back former WWE and ECW star Test. Test failed his initial Wellness Test and was given a written warning, word going around backstage is that he didn't care for it much. Also being brought into the company were former TNA star Alex Shelley, recently released SmackDown! superstar Matt Sydal/Evan Bourne, Japanese legend Kensuke Sasuke and former WWE wrestler Sylvester Terkay. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/logo.gif[/img] ECW have released Festus Dalton (Drew Hankinson) earlier today. The decision was made to split the Daltons up, however, when it came to sending them both to development to work on new gimmicks, it was decided to just drop Festus and allow Jesse to revert back to his Ray Gordy persona. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/topimage.jpg[/img] Gabe Sapolsky has been sent to PWMax along with Briand Daniels, Jesse Dalton and all those that were currently with GWPE. ECW have big plans for PWM and hope that it can follow in the success of CZCW. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/wz_banner.jpg[/img] As seen this past week, AJ Styles made his ECW debut and has obviously agreed a contract with the company. For those that did not know, Styles actually agreed a contract a couple of weeks back when the initial set of TNA signings were announced. Styles did work for CZCW for the two weeks prior to his on screen debut, however he worked under a mask to avoid anyone realising who he was. Sylvain Grenier legitimately hurt his leg during his match with Ricky Steamboat Jr. Grenier was caught by the steel steps as he was thrown over the top rope, he lost his footing and ripped a large chunk of his skin off causing a mass of blood to poor into his boots. Grenier is not expected to miss any ring time, however will have to wear bandages under his boots should he be asked to compete. [/quote] [COLOR="White"]...[/COLOR]

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] La Resistance make their way into the ring, Grenier is sporting a leg brace and walking with crutches. The two begin to complain about their recent losing streak and demand that their greatness be acknowledged. Silence starts until Big Show's music hits. He charges the ring and hits a double Chokeslam on the pair. [b]Rating: C-[/b] Mike Posey rushes the ring and demands a bell be rang. Big Show makes short work of the pair and pins Grenier after another chokeslam. [b]Big Show defeated La Resistance in 1:42 when Big Show defeated Sylvain Grenier by pinfall with a Show Stopper.[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs are in Dusty's office, they start to talk about their chance at a run as Tag Champs, they talk to him about a unique proposition they have for a match tonight, he agrees as they leave with smiles on their faces. [b]Rating: C-[/b] Vixens match up next, Vixen's Champion Amie Gooding takes on Dynamyte in a short title match. The vixens highlight their talents and impress the crowd. Amie takes the win with a Good Luck to retain. [b]Amie Gooding defeated Dynamyte in 3:44 by pinfall with a Good Luck. Amie Gooding makes defence number 3 of her ECW Vixen title.[/b] Sean Morley is seen walking backstage, he talks to Roderick Strong and Mike Mondo about something that seems to fire them both up. [b]Rating: B+[/b] In one of the shortest matches of the night, Mondo and Strong team up to take on Nick Nemeth and Ricky Steamboat Jr. Mondo and Strong work well together, Mondo pins Steamboat after a T-Bone suplex. [b]Mike Mondo and Roderick Strong defeated Nick Nemeth and Ricky Steamboat Jr. in 2:50 when Mike Mondo defeated Ricky Steamboat Jr. by pinfall with a T-Bone Suplex.[/b] The Tag Champs walk out and are followed by Ashcroft and Jacobs. We are told that this is no ordinary tag match, and that one member from each team shall team together, splitting the teams up! The match goes well for a while, with each tag member never facing his partner until Ashcroft and Jacobs manage to force the Tag Twins against each other. The match soon takes a turn for the worst as the Tag Twins have enough of seeing Ashcroft and Jacobs laughing at them and assault their "tag partners" and the referee calls an end to the match. [b]Chad Graham and Daniel Ashcroft drew with Kyle Graham and Wesley Jacobs in 8:05 when the referee lost control and stopped the match.[/b] The Tag Twins argue between themselves as they walk back up the ramp with security. [b]Rating: B-[/b] We get to see Kane's latest HELP! meeting, this weeks topic was all to do with his obsession with fire [b]Rating: B+[/b] An unlikely FBI team of Davide Simeone and Nunzio teamed together to face their One Night Stand opponents Jimmy Yang and The GraveDigger. An ok match that saw very little team work from both sides. The finish came as Simeone distracted GraveDigger allowing Nunzio to jump him long enough for Simeone to hit a Spinnign Face Buster on Yang for the pinfall. [b]Davide Simeone and Nunzio defeated Jimmy Yang and The GraveDigger in 7:34 when Davide Simeone defeated Jimmy Yang by pinfall with a Spinning Face Buster.[/b] In a rather pointless segment, we see Tommy Dreamer backstage reading a paper, apparently the Daily Globe still circulates backstage. [b]Rating: C+[/b] In a rematch from last week, AJ Styles once again took on John Morrison. Another ok match between these two that has the same outcome as last week, Stles hitting a Styles Clash for the 3 count. [b]AJ Styles defeated John Morrison in 7:43 by pinfall with a Styles Clash.[/b] Morrison immediately goes for Foley provoking him and berating him, he finally pushes Foley once too many times and Foley snaps, hitting several punches that sends Morrison into the ropes only for him to drop out of the ring and flee a furious Foley! [b]Rating: B+[/b] Dusty announces from the safety of his office that this Sunday we will see Brock Lesnar go one on one with Sean Morley's right hand man, Vader! [b]Rating: B+[/b] The usual FBI combo of Marella and Petrussi take on their usual opponents in Cabana and Kingston, these teams know each other very well and always put on a good showing. The outcome however was a usual affair, Marella pinning Petrucci's ONS opponent Kofi Kingston after a Snap Swinging Neckbreaker. [b]Marco Petrucci and Santino Marella defeated Colt Cabana and Kofi Kingston in 9:31 when Santino Marella defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall with a Snap Swinging Neckbreaker.[/b] FBI lay out Cabana and Kingston and pose with both belts, something they hope for after One Night Stand! [b]Rating: C+[/b] Brock Lesnar and Terry Funk walk out to thunderous ovation, they await their One Night Stand opponents. Morley and Vader finally walk out and walk straight into a brutal fist fight. Vader nearly instantly dons a crimson mask thanks to the left hand of Funk. Morley tries to get the better of Brock only to be hit with an F-5 for his troubles. Vader tries to sneak the win after knocking Funk down, he climbs the turnbuckles to attempt a Big Van Crush, Brock see's his opportunity, hooks both legs and hits a devastating Power Bomb on Vader for the win! [b]Brock Lesnar and Terry Funk defeated Sean Morley and Vader in 12:32 when Brock Lesnar defeated Vader by pinfall with a Power Bomb.[/b] Brock grabs Morley's ECW title and places it on Funk's shoulder, raising his arm as the crowd go wild for the veteran! ECW have recently pillaged yet another company, now closing the Japanese fed Wrestling Marvelous Future. The company was bought for a mere $33k, the usual title taking was agreed, along with video libraries and Greg Gagne and Vanessa Kraven were the only 2 workers who made the move over to ECW.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/logo.gif[/img] It looks as thoguh Tajiri will be Kensuke Sasaki's manager in ECW. All that is known at this point is that whoever wins this sunday, it would seem the fued is over.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/wz_banner.jpg[/img] Test has again failed a wellness test, he has been fined for being caught once again, and his chances with the company seem to be vanishing at a record pace. Test is doing himself no favours by completely ignoring all warnings of suspensions for his continued drug and steriod use. There are reports circulating backstage that a member of the ECW roster has handed in his noticve due to retirement. The obvious choice would be Terry Funk, however he is said to have a program in the works for another month at the least, and people are circulating reports that it could be The GraveDigger who in fact is retiring after growing fed up of his recent losses in ECW and having a potential "blow off" match at One Night Stand with fellow veteran Davide Simeone.[/quote] [COLOR="White"]...[/COLOR]

[b]Match Setup[/b] Simple really, the first wrestler to make his opponent fail to reach a ten count out of the ring (or unable to answer a ten count in the ring), submit, be pinned for a 3 count or be knocked out will win. Disqualifications are on, making tonight a true change from the usual ECW hardcore matches we see. Most of the people wrestling tonight will have become accustomed to wrestling the ECW way, however, alot of them were in WWE before hand, and will be hoping to revert to their former styles to avoid any slip ups. [b]History[/b] These two have had a long history, battling each other for several months but never truly getting their hands on each other in a match. The GraveDigger has had to endure months of assaults from Simeone, and several matches with various members of the FBI including a match with Davide's younger brother. There is no definitive answer as to why Simeone targeted The GraveDigger, however, many are throwing around the chance that it could have something to do with GraveDiggers popularity despite his age, whilst Simeone never managed to reach such a height. GraveDigger's future has been of great speculation these past fw weeks, with reports of him being unhappy at his losses recently, he has stated off the record that should he lose tonight, it could well be his final match in ECW. He had requested that this be an exception to the "One Night Stand" so he could go out in style should he choose to retire. This match definately has more than just grudge match credentials on offer.[/center]

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/BuhBuhShoot.gif[/img] WrestleZone are pleased to offer you the very first in the series of WrestleZone Shoots. For our first edition, please welcome former ECW star Buh Buh Ray Dudley! [b]WrestleZone: First off Buh Buh, thanks for being the first of many WZ Shoot Exclusives![/b] Buh Buh: Thanks! My pleasure! [b]WZ: You've now been out of ECW for just over 2 months, what are you doing with yourself?[/b] BD: Excuse me? *laughs* I'm doing....NOTHING! I've been contacted for work by companies, that really are way too small for me, i have worked one independant show but that's all, so I'm enjoying the rest at the moment. [b]WZ: You say the companies contacting you weren't big enough, Where's big enough? Were any of those companies any "named" promotions?[/b] BD: Raw and SmackDown! are obviously the first two, followed by the Japanese big two, TNA just about qualifies now that they're in a downfall, hell I'll go to one of Mexico's finest if it means i'm back on TV! Look i'll be honest, i'm set for life finacnially, i don't want to jeopadise my career by competing in run down arenas in a 4th grade ringt that looks rady to collapse, i don't need that! As far as offers go, yeah i had 2 "named" companies talk to me that really could be big enough, but nothings come of them. Tommy [Dreamer] has been in touch with me about a potential return, and Ring of Honor have talked with me at length about a storyline they had planned, but after a while we both agreed that i wouldn't fit with their current style. [b]WZ: ECW have been back in touch already? How did that come about, And would you consider a return?[/b] BD: To be honest, i don't think i would whilst he is still there. We're two completely opposite characters and we'll never get along. The contact came about after Dreamer found out about the fight and knew Diego would have to do something about it. He tried to plead my case, keep me with the company in any capacity, but ultimately, Tommy had given full control of the roster to Diego as long as they fell within Tommy's "ECW Criteria" [b]WZ: Reports are sketchy on your release, some say you had a fight with ECW Champion Sean Morley, others say it was with Digou himself, what exactly happened?[/b] BD: We were down in Detroit for a house show, and then a Sci-Fi taping the night after. I was due the week off to recover from an arm injury i suffered in the previous weeks tag match with Dogs of War but apparently Sean had rang Digou asking if we [myself and D-Von] could be involved in some way as part of his group he had planned. When we arrived at the arena, Sean changed his mind and didn't want D-Von, he just wanted me, i tried to explain we were a team, and that it would be both of us, or neither of us, we had a staredown and left it as that. We ran the house show, Dudleys vs Tag Twins, we were the faces for the night, no explanation why, but apparently it was what management wanted, they had us be attacked by [Mike] Mondo and [Roderick] Strong to set up a quick match that we won, nothing was said about it and we went back to the hotel room. The night after we went to the tapings and beat Dogs of War, and taped a few video segments for the week after so we wouldn't have to travel over That was the week before, move onto the week after and D-Von wants to travel to the arena on his own, fair enough, i arrive to see him leaving the building, i ran over to see what was wrong and he said the angles been scrapped, and that he'd been sent home. I rushed in to confront Diego, but i couldn't find him, so i went to Tommy, again, couldn't find him, i ended up seeing Dean [Malenko] and he explains that Sean managed to talk his way into having D-Von out of the group and D-Von was going down to CZCW for a month or two to learn a new gimmick, i was beginning to hit boiling point, i appreciated the fact that Sean had wanted me in his group, but myself and D-Von are a team, we stuck together through everything! [b]WZ: So what actually happened?[/b] BD: Well after this point i saw Rod [Strong] and Mikey [Mondo] and they said they were sorry to hear about what had happened with D-Von but couldn't wait to work alongside me. I told them unfortunately not to hold their breath. I stayed to myself all night, Diego came to me to tell me of what had happened, i have respect for him for coming over to me and apollogising for what had happened, he explained D-Von's future role and let me know everything, i honestly thought that the future could be looking up for me as a singles wrestler after that chat. I waited in the back as i watched Colt put on a great match with Sean, as soon as they came back throguh the curtain i congratulated Colt, told him he had really stepped up his game that night and that he could well be on his way towards a main event push, then Sean walked through, he walked right past me as if i was not there! I dragged him back and we started talking, talking turned into arguing, and before i knew it, i'd knocked him out cold in front of everyone! Security weren't around, but Colt held me back, soon after followed by Digou and Tommy, and then Rods and Mikey, eventually nearly the full roster were around us, and luckily, the segment that was going on with ChainSaw and Kane was just out of shot from where we were. [b]WZ: How did you learn of your release?[/b] BD: To be honest, I never thoguht of myself as untouchable just because i was Tommy's friend, but i never thought i'd actually be fired! I thought i'd get a slap on the wrist, maybe a fine, spell in development or something. I found out through Tommy, no one else, Tommy knew i wouldn't have wanted to hear about it from anyone but him. We talked for a good hour, he told me of all his arguing my case to stay on and everything, but ultimately Digou had full control, and backing fromVince McMahon which is usually very hard to gain, so there was nothing that Tommy could do unfortunately. [b]WZ: ECWNews.com reported that you were already on thin ice due to an unrelated incident the week earlier, what was this incident?[/b] BD: To be perfectly honest, i have no idea! I don't recall being told of anything by anyone, the only thing i can really think of would be that i worked a little stiff due to my arm injury, but no one had mentioned anything to me. [b]WZ: We've recently seen the re-emergence of Hardcore TV, albeit as seemingly an on screen developmental show, what do you think of the show?[/b] BD: I've barely watched ECW since my release in all honesty, but the bits that i have seen have been rather poor to be honest. There's some good competition but it's being wasted down there, Shelton Benjamin, Tajiri and the like don't deserve to be used down there, they should be on the A Show! [b]WZ: One Night Stand is coming up, you've appeared at this PPV before, but when it was a WWE ran event, changing all matches into "Extreme Rules", this year sees ECW host their first version of One Nigth Stand, where every match is "WWE Style", what are your thoughts on this?[/b] BD: I think the concept was good at first, but, it's an instant turn off for ECW fans, they don't want to pay to see their favourite superstars wrestle a WWE way when they can tune in to Raw and/or SmackDown and see the same thing! [b]WZ: One Night Stand see's the "Hardcore Legend" Terry Funk wrestle Sean Morley for the ECW Championship, what are your thoughts on the match and also, who do you think will win?[/b] BD: I would love to see them put on a top drawer match, but we all know how beat up Funker is, the match itself didn't really have a good build up from what i've been told, and Terry is really, in no real way a considerable threat any more. I have to say though, that with the way Brock Lesnar, who i can't believe joined the company by the way, has been apparently used, i can see him costing Sean the match, and handing the title over to Funk. [b]WZ: Finally, for a bit of fun, word association[/b] BD: Always liked these! [b]Old ECW[/b]: Hardcore [b]New ECW[/b]: Brutal [b]TNA[/b]: Stop Gap [b]D-Von[/b]: My brother [b]Dreamer[/b]: Top dog [b]Digou[/b]: People pleaser [b]Morley[/b]: Arsehole [b]Cheese[/b]: Crackers [b]Tables[/b]: Break em! [b]Gym[/b]: Pizza [b]Travel[/b]: **** [b]WZ: Thank you for your time Bubba, we hope to see you on our screens soon![/b] BD: You're welcome, good luck with all the future shoots!

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] We kick off the pre show with Evan Bourne and Oleg Prudius in the ring. Prudius really needs to get behind his training because the guy is not improving at all. Bourne with most of the offence, and picks up the pinfall victory with an Air Bourne Shhoting Star Press. [b]Evan Bourne defeated Oleg Prudius in 7:54 by pinfall with an Air Bourne.[/b] Pre Show main event sees Big Show take on Test, who is making his ECW return here. The two big men just don't click at all, and the match lacks any true quality. Big Show wins with a chokeslam. [b]Big Show defeated Test in 8:06 by pinfall with a Show Stopper.[/b] [img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/ONSPoster.jpg[/img] Jimmy Yang makes his way to the ring to get the PPV started. He's followed out by the APA, who are apparently watching Yang's back in his match with Nunzio. [b]Rating: C-[/b] With Yang waiting in the ring, Nunzio walks down, folowed by Gianfranco Simeone. The former tag partners stare each other down, waiting for the bell, the bell rings and immediately referee Mike Posey is close to disqualifications due to closed fist punches. The two seem to struggle to re-adjust themselves to WWE rules, but eventually manage. The match in all honesty was poor, APA distracting Nunzio when trying to use weapons or illegally gain advantages, APA would ultimately cost Yang the match however, as the ref was occupied with them, Simeone distracted Yang, allowing Nunzio to hit the Arriverderci for the win. [b]Nunzio defeated Jimmy Yang in 7:46 by pinfall with an Arriverderci after a distraction from Gianfranco Simeone. During the match we also saw John Layfield distract Nunzio, and Ron Simmons also distract Nunzio.[/b] Straight into our next match here, former tag champs M2N face off against one another after Mike Mondo's vicious turn only 4 weeks ago! Mondo walks out with a ****y swagger to him, Nemeth comes out to a scattering of cheers. A match with very little wrestling in it, this was mainly a brawl, no love lost between these two, Nemeth constantly getting the attack on with Mondo cowering in corners to get the referee to pull Nemeth off him. Nemeth had several chances to win, but didn't take advantage and it ultimately cost him, as Mondo hit his newest finisher, a devastating clothesline from the top rope, for the pinfall victory. [b]Mike Mondo defeated Nick Nemeth in 9:14 by pinfall with a Mondo Sledge.[/b] Mondo hadn't finished with Nemeth and proceeded to beat him to a pulp, security rush down as Mondo steps away from Nemeth, admiring his work, smugly grinning as security drag him to the back. [b]Rating: D+[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs are seen talking with Tommy Dreamer backstage, the pair ask Dreamer about how it feels to be an ECW Tag Champion, and pursuade him to accompany them to the ring tonight! [b]Rating: B-[/b] The trio walk out to masses of cheers, the Tag Champs make their way out next to a chorus of boos, which they just brush off. Alot of back and forth in the match, with the challengers getting alot of close falls, the Champs get in a few arguements with Dreamer, but never miss a step. Jacobs is confined to one side of the ring until Ashcroft manages a tag, short work is made of him though and with Jacobs incapacitated, Tag Twins hit a double senton splash to retain their titles! [b]Tag Twins defeated Ashcroft and Jacobs in 11:44 when Chad Graham defeated Daniel Ashcroft by pinfall with a Double Senton Splash. Tag Twins make defence number 4 of their ECW Tag Team titles.[/b] Brock Lesnar is shown backstage walking towards the ring, he grabs a mic off Todd Grisham and walk and talks, stopping to emphasise parts of his promo, he belittles Vader, and then warns Sean Morley that regardless of whether he's ECW champion or not after tonight, he's coming for him next! [b]Rating: B+[/b] Brock continues his walk toward the ring as Vader makes his entrance, Brock charges the ring and the match is underway! Vader using his weight to his advantage manages to keep Brock grounded for a while. Brock starts to make use of his MMA training and locks in several submission holds that nearly have Vader tapping. Sensing trouble Freak Nastty charges the ring, he starts to pull one of the turnbuckles off, but the ref sees and starts to reattach it, Nastty enters the ring and charges at Brock, Brock moves and Nastty hits a brutally stiff clothesline on Vader staggering him, Lesnar throws Nastty over the top and lifts Vader up onto his shoulders and hits a devastating F-5 for the win! [b]Brock Lesnar defeated Vader in 8:39 by pinfall with a F-5 following botched interference by Freak Nastty.[/b] Terry Funk walks into the locker room and finds Tommy Dreamer with his head in his hands, Funk talks to Dreamer lifting his spirits, telling him that after tonight, when Funk is the ECW Champion, Dreamer will have his rightful chance at being an ECW Champion once again! [b]Rating: C+[/b] ECW TV Title match up next, Petrucci looking to finally take the title away from Kofi. These two have great chemistry and it's shown through in their other matches too. Kofi constantly hitting his big moves, but tonight doesn't look like his night as Petrucci kicks out of every pin attempt. Petrucci hits a Spinning Face Buster for a very near fall, so close in fact that he starts to celebrate! Kofi sneaks a roll up and gets an even nearer fall! Kofi questions the ref, turns around and has his lip split from a wicked right hook, Kofi's staggering and gets lifted, then dropped with a Petrucci Driver! Petrucci wins the TV Title! [b]Marco Petrucci defeated Kofi Kingston in 15:52 by pinfall with a Petrucci Driver. Marco Petrucci wins the ECW TV title.[/b] Petrucci grabs the title and celebrates his victory in the ring, holding the belt aloft for seemingly an eternity before walking back to the locker room [b]Rating: B[/b] Santino Marella walks out looking to follow in Marco Petrucci's footsteps in bringing a title into the FBI. Colt Cabana makes a boom boom entrance into the arena singing and dancing to Copa Cabana. A good match, but not as good as the previous match which dented this a litle. Still a match that saw back and forth, good chain wrestling come into play. The fans were never on their seat with the amount of close cals that were seen, and it really looked like neither man was going to win. A slight lapse in concentration from Marella saw Cabana capitalise and hit a Colt 45 for the victory, and the retaining of his title for the 8th time! [b]Colt Cabana defeated Santino Marella in 13:40 by pinfall with a Colt 45. Colt Cabana makes defence number 8 of his ECW European title.[/b] Cabana grabs his title and climbs the guard railing to celebrate his win with the fans [b]Rating: B-[/b] We are shown a recap of Kane's most recent HELP! meeting, he discusses his tag team with The Hurricane, and how he now dispises him due to the fact he wore a mask! [b]Rating: B[/b] Tommy Dreamer is seen looking down, walking towards his car with his bags all packed, out of nowhere, Tag Twins ambush Dreamer, leaving him down and out next to his car! [b]Rating: C+[/b] In a grudge match that has been building for several months, The GraveDigger took on Davide Simeone, who had been told to leave all members of the FBI backstage! These two put on a clinic of a match, exciting the fans with many little moves that played a big part in the full run of the match. Simeone looked to have GraveDigger beat on more than one occasion, but constantly let his opponent sit up and recover. GraveDigger hit a Crucifix Bomb throuh the announce table, which made Mick Foley consider a disqualification, however the Hardcore Ref allowed the match to continue. GraveDigger then dragged the lifeless body of Simeone back into the ring and hit another Crucifix Bomb for the victory! [b]The GraveDigger defeated Davide Simeone in 10:25 by pinfall with a Crucifix Bomb.[/b] As GraveDigger started walking to the back, Simeone starts to recover and follows after him! Simeone turns GraveDigger round and hits a few shots before GraveDigger blocks a few and then unloads with rights and lefts of his own, 'Digger pushes Simeone back, Simeone runs to charge and gets a huge boot to the face before Security rush to the ramp and seperate the two! [b]Rating: B+[/b] ECW Champion Sean Morley appears on screen, he hypes up his opponent for the night, Terry Funk, running through the Hardcore Icon's accomplishments in the business, but then says that tonight, he wont be adding to them, but Morley will add to his own, he will add "Retired Terry Funk" to his personal accomplishments. [b]Rating: B[/b] A match that saw Morley help the aging Funk through was surprisingly alot better than many expected. Funk was made to look a true contender, and the fans were right behind him with every punch thrown, every suplex hit, and kick connected, the fans were eating it up. Morley started to shift the focus of the match and it seemed set for Morley to win before Funk hit an amazing moonsault! Funk went to the outside and grabbed a few chairs, before realising he could not use them, as he rolled back in, Morley delivered several brutal kicks to the back, winding Funker, Morley picked him up and hits an awkward Resolution on Funk for the win. [b]Sean Morley defeated Terry Funk in 17:36 by pinfall with a Resolution. Sean Morley makes defence number 8 of his ECW Heavyweight title.[/b] Morley stands over Funk, he picks him up, locks his head, neck and underarm as if ready for the Resolution once more, the fans **** all over Morley, Morley's smug grin widens, Funk starts screaming at Morley to do it, begging him, Morley's grin soon changes, he loosens his grip as Funk looks confused, Morley raises Funks hand before walking out whilst the fans give Funk a standing ovation. [b]Rating: B+[/b] [quote][b]Pre Show Evan Bourne[/b] defeated Oleg Prudius in 7:54 by pinfall with an Air Bourne. - E- [b]Big Show[/b] defeated Test in 8:06 by pinfall with a Show Stopper. - C (JDCAA) [b]Show[/b] [b]Nunzio[/b] defeated Jimmy Yang in 7:46 by pinfall with an Arriverderci after a distraction from Gianfranco Simeone. [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/ECWNews2.gif[/img] With it being PPV weekend, this update will not feature any Hardcore TV results. ECW would like to announce the signing of former Boxing World Champion Mike Tyson. Tyson shall be used as head of security at shows, and may eventually be given a talent contract should his rumoured wrestling training be of satisfactory standards. Newly signed Vanessa Kraven and Greg Gagne have signed ECW exclusive contracts.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/allWrestlingNews.gif[/img] No injury news ahs come out of One Night Stand, although there has been reports of unhappy wrestlers. Jimmy Yang was said to be furious when he found out he would be losing to Nunzio, so much so that he threatened to walk out on the company! Along with Yang being upset were ECW owner Tommy Dreamer, Brock Lesnar and Nick Nemeth. Dreamer was upset at how his angles came across, luckily thoguh he only blamed himself, and noone else, so noones going to be on the unemployed line due to it, Lesnar was upset with how Vader worked their match, and Nemeth due to picking up yet another loss.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/logo.gif[/img] Jimmy Yang still has not come to terms over a new contract, with his recent unhappiness following his defeat to Nunzio, it could be the last we see of the high energy star. D-Von Dudley has finally finished his "cooling period" in development folowing Bubba's release. D-Von is now expected to be brought up to the main roster again soon.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/topimage.jpg[/img] ECW have signed Matt Logan to a Pay Per Appearance contract due to a working relationship they have with one of Logans other employers. Shantelle Taylor, Takako Inoue and Shelly Martinez have all been signed to bolster the Vixen's Division, and as mentioned on the ECW website, Mike Tyson has been brought in to head security. Jatdon Jeter has been sent to Pro Wrestling Max to try to increase his chances of an ECW future.[/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/wz_banner.jpg[/img] Test has once again failed a wellness test, and that has resulted in a 30 day suspension. To make matters worse for him, he turned up late to One Night Stand last night and ended up having to rush straight out for his match with Big Show, Test was warned for that, and again he didn't seem to care, i would expect to see Test jobbed, then released upon his return. ECW have released their next PPV's poster, ECW WrestlePalooza is set to make it's return, and boasts Brock Lesnar on the front standing before caging, no idea whether that is ahint towards Lesnar being in a cage match for the title, however it would indicate that Brock will play a pivotal part of the show. Sean Morley has managed to hold onto his title ever since winning the title from Kane in February will have to sit idley by as he watches the biggest 6 man number 1 contenders match possibly in ECW history. Former ECW Champion Big Show will go against Brock Lesnar, Davide Simeone, Kane, Mike Mondo and The GraveDigger. One of these men will get their shot at WrestlePalooza for the most coveted prize in ECW! Tommy Dreamer has promised to make an announcement regarding an issue that he holds close to his heart. He has refused to drop any hints but urges us all to watch this weeks show as it is an unmissible statement that he will be making! Vader has demanded that he faces off against Freak Nastty after the youngster cost him his match with Brock Lesnar at One Night Stand. Nastty obviously will be standing very little chance as he is outweighed by the veteran Vader, but he will be hoping for an upset that would surely propel him up the ECW ranks! The Vixens dont really do much, fans use this as an opportunity for a bathroom break. Gianfranco Simeone walks out onto the walkway and is right in line with Becky Bayless' line of sight, she turns to see what he wants only to be rolled up by Pietra for the win! [b]Pietra Riccardi defeated Hayakawa Itsuko, Dynamyte, Rebecca Bayless and Vanessa Kraven in 4:37 when Pietra Riccardi defeated Rebecca Bayless by pinfall after a distraction from Gianfranco Simeone. - C-[/b] Pietra rushes backstage and confronts FBI demanding they stop this unwanted help! [b]Rating: C-[/b] Tommy Dreamer is seen in Dusty Rhodes' office, he says he promised something unmissible would happen tonight, and that he wants that unmissible thing to be him and Terry Funk winning the tag titles from Tag Twins, Dusty makes the match for later tonight! [b]Rating: B-[/b] D'Lo Brown makes his way to the ring, followed by John Morrison. A poor match which made D'Lo look really weak due to Morrison's incompetance. D'Lo picked up the win after a quicker than usual count by Mick Foley. [b]D'Lo Brown defeated John Morrison in 4:58 by a fast-counted pinfall.[/b] Morrison is fuming with Foley, he argues, pushing the Hardcore Official, Foley refuses to respond, Morrison proceeds to lay Foley out with a brutal Superkick! [b]Rating: C[/b] Tag Titles match up next, Tag Twins walk out to their usual reaction, the make shift team of Dreamer and Funk walk out to thunderous ovations. The tag champs dominate the match, keping Funk away from Dreamer throughout the match, Funk finally manages to make the tag to Dreamer, only for the ref to say he never saw it! Funk is hit with a Double Senton Splash and Dreamer can't reach the pin in time to break it. [b]Tag Twins defeated Dreamer and Funk in 6:59 when Kyle Graham defeated Terry Funk by pinfall with a Double Senton Splash. Tag Twins make defence number 5 of their ECW Tag Team titles.[/b] Dreamer helps Funk to his feet, Funk asks for a mic. He addresses the crowd, and starts to tear up, he says at 64 years old he's done all he can, and seeing himself fall at two chances of titles in the space of 3 days tells him it is time to stop. He thanks the fans, turns to Dreamer and thanks him, the two hug, Dreamer takes the mic from Funk and raises Funks hand in the air. Without warning Dreamer hits Funk across the skull with the mic and just stares over his Mentor as the crowd go silent in shock. Dreamer starts to walk out as paramedics rush to a bloodied Funk's aid. [b]Rating: C[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs make their way to the ring to take on the team of Kensuke Sasaki and Tajiri. A night of half decent matches is not broken here, as the two teams don't really look like they're moving out of 2nd gear. All four men get into the ring and start beating the **** out of each other, Mike Posey can do nothing about it and calls for the bell! What a **** night this is! [b]Ashcroft and Jacobs drew with Kensuke Sasaki and Tajiri in 7:55 when the referee lost control and stopped the match.[/b] We cut backstage where we see Shelton Benjamin complaining to anyone and everyone that'll listen to him. The room he's in suddenly turns green with winds blowing hard through it! [b] Rating: C-[/b] We see a video hyping Devon Hughes, who will debut soon! [b]Rating: C[/b] FBI walk out for their usual FBI vs Kofi and Colt match. As usual a good match between the two teams but again cut short. Cabana and Kingston looked closer to winning tonight, but again fell at the final hurdle, Petrucci pinning Kingston following a Petrucci Driver. [b]Marco Petrucci and Santino Marella defeated Colt Cabana and Kofi Kingston in 7:53 when Marco Petrucci defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall with a Petrucci Driver.[/b] Kane comes out for the main event, but looks confused. After looking around, he climbs over the security barrier, talking to himself. He heads through the crowd shouting to anyone that'll listen that he refuses to wrestle again, and makes his way out of the front door, and then disappears into the street outside. [b]Rating: B+[/b] With Kane's dissapeance the main event became a 5 man match. Mike Mondo was immediately set upon by everyone seeing him as the weak link of the match. Mondo however surprised many by managing to bring the fight to the more experienced others and even managed to lift the Big Show after Sean Morley inadvertantly hit Show! It didn't help however as Brock Lesnar managed to pick up the pinfall victory after hitting an F-5 on The GraveDigger. [b]Brock Lesnar defeated Big Show, Davide Simeone, Mike Mondo and The GraveDigger in 12:32 when Brock Lesnar defeated The GraveDigger by pinfall with a handful of tights. Many are expecting to see Lesnar take the title at the PPV after Morley has held the title for 5 months and seemingly has come to an end of potential challengers for his title. No owrd on why Kane was remo0ved from the number 1 contenders match, but we will update if we hear any reports.[/quote] [COLOR="White"]...[/COLOR]

[img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] We are welcomed to ECW on Sci-Fi with a video recapping the one brutal blow that Tommy Dreamer laid upon Terry Funk last week to officially shock the ECW nation! The fans boo during the video, which ends with one final look at Tommy Dreamer's smug reaction to his actions. [b]Rating: C[/b] 6 Vixen tag match to open, Amie, Pietra and Shantelle make their way out, htey are chased down by Dynamyte, Itsuko and Vanessa. Poor match tbh, but that was expected when more than 3 Vixens are in a match together. Nunzio wanders to ringside, he distracts Vanessa and Pietra gets a quick roll up. Pietra screams at Nunzio as he walks to the back. [b]Amie Gooding, Pietra Riccardi and Shantelle Taylor defeated Dynamyte, Itsuko and Vanessa Kraven in 4:34 when Pietra Riccardi defeated Vanessa Kraven by pinfall after a distraction from Nunzio.[/b] We head to the back to see Big Show standing by, he talks about Sean Morley costing him his match last week, saying he's one giant you don't want to piss off! Show walks off laughing [b]Rating: A[/b] Tag Champs in action next as the Tag Twins take on ECW's newest team, Japanese Wrecking Crew. Sasaki and Tajiri work well together and take the fight to Tag Twins. Tag Twins' experience ultimately shows however as they son take control and disect their opponents. Twins pick up the win after a Double Senton Splash on Tajiri. [b]Tag Twins defeated Sasaki and Tajiri in 7:45 when Chad Graham defeated Tajiri by pinfall with a Double Senton Splash.[/b] Dusty Rhodes walks past Ashcroft and Jacobs who were watching the tag match, Rhodes talks with them for a bit, before being taken aback by their demand for a rematch for the tag titles! Rhodes tells them to prove themselves worthy! [b]Rating: C[/b] Ashcroft and Jacobs charge the ring and APA are revealed to be their opponents. The veterans dominate, using any trick in the book to gain an advantage. It doesn't work however as a mistake by Bradshaw leaves APA vulnerable, and allows Ashcroft to hit a brainbuster followed by a 450 on Farooq for the win. [b]Ashcroft and Jacobs defeated APA in 7:32 when Daniel Ashcroft defeated Ron Simmons by pinfall with a Brainbuster 450.[/b] We go backstage and see Nunzio walking, Pietra shouts from a distance and the two start arguing, the whole argument culminates with Pietra demanding that FBI stop helping her when she doesn't want it! [b]Rating: D+[/b] Tommy Dreamer walks past them and tells them to shut up and move on, he looks square into the camera and adresses Funk, telling him how he's washed up, and should have retired when he had the chance to make the decision for himself, because Dreamer is going to take Funks career away from him! [b]Rating: D[/b] Dreamer walks towards the ring where Matt Logan is waiting. A very short match that sees Dreamer on the alternate end of a squash match, beating Logan with a Dreamer DDT in under 5 minutes. [b]Tommy Dreamer defeated Matt Logan in 4:42 by pinfall with a Dreamer DDT.[/b] We cut backstage to see Kane talking to someone, he makes a point of signalling that there is a tattered mask hanging out of the bin in the corner. Bit of a random segment to be perfectly honest! [b]Rating: B+[/b] Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring in the hope of hearing from Marco Petrucci about his challenge but instead sees Gianfranco Simeone walk out. Kingston takes out his frustrations on the youngest member of FBI, and it definately seems like an initiation test here! Kofi allows Simeone very little offence and gets dropped with a Trouble in Paradise. [b] Kofi Kingston defeated Gianfranco Simeone in 5:17 by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise.[/b] Dusty Rhodes walks out onto the rampway and says that with Santino's loss at One Night Stand, that the ECW European championship is contenderless, so, next week, we will see AJ Styles vs Kofi Kingston vs Santino Marella vs Tommy Dreamer to see who will face Colt Cabana at WrestlePalooza! [b]Rating: C[/b] Marco Petrucci sheepishly walks out, avoiding Kofi as they cross, Billy Todd walks out for his ECW Debut! The two just didn't click tonight, and the match was ruined from the off. Petrucci tried to help Todd look good, but they clashed every time. Petrucci defended his title after hitting his Petrucci Driver. [b]Marco Petrucci defeated Billy Todd in 7:34 by pinfall with a Petrucci Driver. Marco Petrucci makes defence number 1 of his ECW TV title.[/b] Sean Morley sits in his locker room and shoots on Brock Lesnar, and tells everyone that you don't hold a title for over quarter of a year just to let some new guy walk in and take it from you! Morley tells Brock that at WrestlePalooza, the title will be staying where it is! [b]Rating: B[/b] Brock stands in the ring and watches Morley's comments as he waits for John Morrison to make his way to the ring. Lesnar unfolds with masses of power moves and makes Morrison look very, very weak. Lesnar picks up the win with a brutal F-5! [b]Brock Lesnar defeated John Morrison in 7:31 by pinfall with a F-5.[/b] Morrison is helped to his feet by Foley, although Foley looks reluctant to do so! Morrison thanks Foley, then unleashes a barrage of punches to the Hardcore Official before security and other referees pull him off! [b]Rating: C[/b] Main Event time and we see Sean Morley thrown through the entrance curtain. Big Show follows and pummels the ECW Champion towards the ring. Big Show dominates the early goings in the match but soon tires out. Morley looks to take advantage, but there's not much the Champion can do! Show tries in vain to hit a chokeslam but can't muster the energy to do so. He hits a big boot on Morley and heads toward the corner, he starts to climb, back towards Morley who slowly starts to get up. Big Show struggles to get to even the middle turnbuckle! Morley hooks Shows head and arm, then drags him off the corner with a modified Resolution for the surprise victory! [b]Sean Morley defeated Big Show in 10:06 by pinfall with a Resolution.[/b] The arena goes dark as we see a video showing Devon Hughes watching old wrestling videos, the video ends with him looking square into the camera, then punching it to end the show! Morley's time as champion seems to have finally ran out with wrestlers growing increasingly tired of being used as bait for him and his new found ego. Morley's apparent lack of punishment for the Bubba fight has not gone unnoticed, and Digou is said to have finally agreed Morley needs to be reprimanded. Morley has also held the title for nearly half a year, a long time by todays standards, couple with the fact Brock Lesnar is currently undefeated and has just returned to the company, having him do anything but win will kill all momentum created. The minor characters stand behind the "leader" Davide Simeone and agree wtih everything he says regarding The GraveDigger, would seem this fued is not over! [b]Rating: C+[/b] The Tag champs make their way out to a chorus of boos, they're folowed by the APA who get a mixed reaction. Bradshaw and Simmons dominate the match, keeping the champs at bay. Momentum shifts when Kyle hot shots Simmons. The twins climb up top and hit a double senton on Simmons for the victory, with Bradshaw looking distraught! [b]Tag Twins defeated APA in 7:21 when Chad Graham defeated Ron Simmons by pinfall with a Double Senton Splash.[/b] Dusty Rhodes walks out and announces that as the Vixen's Champion Amie Gooding does not have an opponent for WrestlePalooza, next weeks ECW on Sci-Fi will feature a Vixen's Battle Royal! [b]Rating: B+[/b] Brock Lesnar walks out, the fans go crazy for the number 1 contender, he is followed out by William Regal. These two guys put on a great match, playing off each other well. Regal never really stood a chance though and gets hit with a Powerbomb. Lesnar picks up the victory and looks good going into WrestlePalooza. [b]Brock Lesnar defeated William Regal in 6:48 by pinfall with a Power Bomb.[/b] Billy Todd makes his way out to face John Morrison, who's on quite the losing streak at the moment! Morrison hits a few big moves, but ends up showboating too long, he turns round and gets hit with a KiddPlex, and this ones over in under 5 minutes! [b]The GraveDigger defeated FBI in 7:03 when The GraveDigger defeated Nunzio by pinfall with a Crucifix Bomb.[/b] We cut to the back and see Kane talking again, who to we don't know, but he makes another mention of the mask hanging from the bin, he walks towards it and pulls it out, the mask looks familiar before he stashes it into his carrybag! [b]Rating: B+[/b] ECW Hardcore TV announcer Devon "ChainSaw" Brown walks out and challenges Devon Hughes to a match at WrestlePalooza! [b]Rating: B-[/b] Mike Mondo walks out towards the ring as he takes on ECW European Champ Colt Cabana! A good match between the two, Cabana shows great heart in the fight, but Mondo stays a step ahead all the time. Mondo hits his Mondo Splash for the win, and make sa real statement here tonight! [b]Mike Mondo defeated Colt Cabana in 7:36 by pinfall with a Mondo Splash.[/b] A battle of the big men yet again, as we see Big Show once again take on Sean Morley's lackey, Vader. Another short match for the night see's Vader miss a Chokeslam, and be greeted by one from the Big Show to end the match! [b]Big Show defeated Vader in 6:50 by pinfall with a Show Stopper.[/b] Tommy Dreamer comes on screen, he grabs a mic and begins to talk, before he can say much he is ambushed by someone, he is beaten to the ground, the attacker stops, and raises the camera up, smiling as we see it's Terry Funk!!!! [b]Rating: C-[/b] Main Event time, AJ Styles, Kofi Kingston and Santino Marella make their way to the ring, Dreamer enters late due to his attack. Each man has their turn beating on Dreamer, who is definately the weakest link. Styles nearly gets the win, but Santino interupts, he throws Styles over the top rope onto Dreamer who struggles to his feet, he picks up Kofi and hits a Snap Swinging Neckbreaker and picks up the win! There have been a few names thrown around about who could go, obvious choices would be Test due to his constant wellness failures, and possibly a few development guys. This is not due to any needs of cost cutting, Dreamer and Digou are just looking at replacing any dead wood the company may have. GWPE have been saved however by ECW, although not in the way Paul heyman had hoped. The company has been pillaged as ECW has done with so many other failing companies. Along with the companies closure, ECW have gained all titles, video libraries and have brought in Aurora, Billy K, Derranged, Foxxy Dreams, Kory Chavis, and Niles Young. All are expected to stay on the main roster after agreeing exclusive ECW contracts. SumemrSlam is said to hold the return to the ring for one superstar, who will also be making his ECW debut as well. We have our ideas, but we'll let you begin the speculation! [img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] As we head into this weekends WrestlePalooza, ECW stands with having only 3 confirmed matches for the show, but we will definately have at least 4 when we see who wins the Vixen's Battle Royal this week. All the ECW Vixen's face off for the right to challenge Amie Gooding for her title that she has held since March. ECW Owner Tommy Dreamer sis said to be in action this week despite his attack by Terry Funk last week, his opponent is unknown, but expect him to send Funk a message! Colt Cabana goes one on one with John Morrison this week, Morrison's open challenges do not seem to be helping him in any way whatsoever and it must surely only be a matter of time before he ends them! The final match announced for this weeks show will see former ECW TV champion Kofi Kingston take on ECW European Championship number 1 contender Santino Marella. Marco Petrucci has said that if Kofi wins, Petrucci will face him at WrestlePalooza for the title! [img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/7086324.jpg[/img] We kick off the show with the Vixen's battle royal, 10 vixens enter and only one can walk out victorious! We see a few quick eliminations, the likes of Foxxy Dreams and Shelly go quickly. The final four stood at the debuting Aurora and La Amapola, Dynamyte and Pietra Riccardi. La Amapolo was hip tossed uniquely over the top for the elimination, Aurora soon followed thanks to team work from the two main stay vixens. Dynamyte seemed to have the match won, hitting two Towerhawk bombs in succession. She showboated to the crowd, lifted a possum playing Pietra up andd was tossed over the top for her troubles! [b]Pietra Riccardi won a battle royal in 5:52. The final four competitors also included Dynamyte, La Amapola and Aurora, with Dynamyte being the final elimination.[/b] Pietra celebrates in disbelief as she goes to this Sunday's WrestlePalooza to face Amie for the title! [b]Rating: C+[/b] We cut to an emotional TerryFunk who's standing backstage. He goes on a tirade about how Dreamer turned his back on the fans when he knocked out Funker, and that this Sunday, at WrestlePalooza, it's gonna be one mans final match of his career! [b]Rating: B[/b] Dreamer walks out, obviously unphased by Funks statement, walks out for his match with Adam Masters. Masters gets little offence in and is hit with a Dreamer DDT to end the match. [b]Tommy Dreamer defeated Adam Masters in 4:45 by pinfall with a Dreamer DDT.[/b] Dreamer stands to celebrate, decides against it and grabs a mic, seconds before he goes to speak the arena turns green, smoke fills the ring with a host of voices saying "He's Coming!" as Dreamer runs from the ring! [b]Rating: C-[/b] ChainSaw walks out for a rare in ring appearance, he takes on Matt Logan. Very very short match, ChainSaw squahses Logan, hitting the ChainSaw for the win. [b]ChainSaw defeated Matt Logan in 3:02 by pinfall with a ChainSaw.[/b] ChainSaw grabs a mic and demands an answer from Devon Hughes, he doesn't get one and says come Sunday, he better have an answer! [b]Rating: B[/b] 8 man tag match up next, Ashcroft and Jacobs team with the newest team in ECW, the JWC, they face off against the team of Tag Twins and the FBI! Alot of confusion in this match due to the complete mixes in styles that are teaming together. JWC hit a Buzzsaw Powerbomb combo on Gianfranco and it allows Jacobs enough time to go up top and land a picture perfect Shooting Star Press for the win. [b]Ashcroft and Jacobs and Japanese Wrecking Crew defeated Tag Twins and FBI in 6:41 when Wesley Jacobs defeated Gianfranco Simeone by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press.[/b] Dusty Rhodes announces that at WrestlePalooza, Tag Twins will defend their titles against Ashcroft and Jacobs. He starts to walk off, then turns back, "Hell, why not add JWC in there?" the fans cheer as he walks off again, only to turn back again "and the FBI too!" [b]Rating: D+[/b] He begins to walk off again, only to turn round and head to the ring, he announces that he may as well have the ECW Championship contract signing now whilst he's out here. Brock comes out and is joined by Morley. Brock signs the contract with no fuss, Morley reads over it, scans every last detail before hitting Brock with the contract, he beats down his challenger, then signs the contract, before hitting one last shot on Brock before leaving! [b]Rating: B[/b] Time for the Morrison/Foley challenge. Morrison out first as he stares down the official in charge, Mick Foley! Cabana takes the fight to Morrison, who soons manages to take the advantage. Morrison keeps too much of an eye on Foley and ends up losing his domination, he gets hit with a Colt 45 out of nowhere and loses yet again! [b]Colt Cabana defeated John Morrison in 9:02 by pinfall with a Colt 45.[/b] Morrison stands up and begins to argue with Foley again, after last week, Foley doesn't look to pleased that Morrison's digging again. Morrison pushes Foley only to be met with a wicked uppercut to the jaw! Foley walks to the back doing his "Bang! Bang!" gesture. [b]Rating: B+[/b] Rhodes walks back out to the ringside, and stops Foley, he talks to him and Foley bares a huge grin on his face "This Sunday, John Morrison will take on non other than....Mick Foley!" "BANG BANG!" [b]Rating: B[/b] Marco Petrucci walks out for what is sure to be a tough match as he takes on John Layfield. The two don't click at all, and it really showed. The fans boo throughout the match, and only cheer when Petrucci picks up the victory just before the 8 minute mark with a Petrucci Lock. [b]Marco Petrucci defeated John Layfield in 7:57 by submission with a Petrucci Lock.[/b] Petrucci grabs a mic and tells everyone just how good he is! [b]Rating: B-[/b] Kofi walks out with a purpose, wheras Marella just swaggers to the ring. The two lock up, and Santino doesn't look into the match, he looks more like he wants to be playing the fool. Kofi has enough and tries to go on the full out attack, Santino plays clever though and trips him, he locks in a few submissions and starts to rile up Kofi. Kofi manages to get the better of Santino towards the end, hitting his Boom Boom Leg Drop and lands a Trouble in Paradise for the pinfall victory! [b]Kofi Kingston defeated Santino Marella in 7:31 by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise.[/b] kingston grabs the mic and tells Petrucci that on Sunday, he'll be taking his title back! [b]Rating: B-[/b] Main Event time sees Davide Simeone take on the Big Show. Show has not been on the most consistant rides in recent times, but looks solid against the FBI leader. Show's dominance soon changes as he begins to tire, Simeone senses his chances and isolates Big Show. Show struggles to get anything in the final third of the match, and ends up falling to a Spinning Face Buster. [b]Davide Simeone defeated Big Show in 9:50 by pinfall with a Spinning Face Buster.[/b] [quote=Quick Results][b]Pietra Riccardi[/b] won a battle royal in 5:52. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/allWrestlingNews.gif[/img] There was an incident that occured during the last show between Bradshaw and Joey Styles. There's no word on what actually happened, all that is known is that Layfield was given a stern warning about the incident. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/logo.gif[/img] Final decisions are still being made regarding who will walk out the ECW Champion this sunday, alot of people are pulling for Lesnar to take the title in order to start fresh challenges, however Sean Morley slowly slowly is gainig more and more support as champion backstage, and many expect him to keep hold of the title. Look for the match to potentially end in a draw. [/quote] [quote][img]http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b97/hurricanendp/ECW/wz_banner.jpg[/img] Expect to see a few upsets this sunday, rumours flying are that Tommy Dreamer is the one that is set to lose the Retirement match in order to help push Terry Funk a bit higher up the card before having a lower card heel beat him for a massive rub.[/quote] [COLOR="White"]...[/COLOR]

[b]Match Setup[/b] This match is as simple as usual ECW matches, however this match has an added incentive, should you lose, you have to retire, which neither man wishes to do! [b]History[/b] This match is a battle between mentor and student. Terry Funk returned to the company thanks to Tommy Dreamer, and quickly ascended the ladder to win the Fittest of the Fit challenge, allowing him a shot at the ECW title at whatever time he wished. Dreamer constantly helped his mentor and offered any advice needed, even going as far as to offer his help in Funks ECW title match, ultimately we saw Tag Twins ambush Dreamer preventing him from going in his mentors corner, and Funk lost the title match to Morley. The following night saw Dreamer try and pick Funk's spirits up by getting a tag title shot for them. Funk and Dreamer would ultimately lose the match, and Dreamer hit one brutal shot to his former mentor and friend following the match. Since then we have seen Dreamer be assaulted by Funk, and then ultimately challenged to a retirment match, which we will see this Sunday! [/center]
