I gotta ask, though ... and maybe it's just something I missed earlier when I was reading, since I go through moments where I comprehend like a toddler, but after the draft, is there going to be a free-for-all for other potential talent, or will a team member be dropped for someone else to join? I was going to explain properly after all the team and draft stuff was finished but it has took a lot longer than I thought it would! So now is a good a time as any. After the draft each team will have seven wrestlers, six male and one female. This will be the final rosters for the season. A wrestler can be picked up from the free agent pool if: A, another wrestler is unable to compete due to injury B, another wrestler is fired or suspended due to disciplinary issues or drug policy infractions. Franchises will compete against each twice over the course of the season, once at home and once away. Each card will be made up of six matches; three standard one on one matches, one tag match, one womens match and a speciality match chosen by the home team. The team who wins the most matches on the card is declared the winner. In the event of a tie, a sudden death match will occur between two randomly assigned wrestlers. The top eight teams will go onto the playoffs, where first placed team will play the eighth, second will play seventh and so on until two teams remain. These teams will meet on PPV to decide the 2008 NWL champions. Three other PPV's will run over the course of the season. The first will be a tag team open tournament, where any two wrestlers from each franchise can compete to be crowned kings of the tag match. The second will be an all-star weekend, where each team will chose their MVP to compete against each other. The third will be a singles tournament, where competitors are chosen strictly on their win/loss record, meaning that more than one wrestler from each franchise could compete.
