Sorry, seem to have screwed up when I continued this in the full game, so am restarting. This bit below is unchanged, however Vibert's last show results will probably be different, to take into account momentum changes. Not sure how well this'll work - but am going to try a dynasty written in the form of updates from a wrestling website along the lines of the Torch. Could be good, could suck. Here goes... [I]December 1st 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]MAJOR DAVE ANNOUNCEMENT, NEW HEAD BOOKER[/B] Fans, more on this later, but potentially HUGE news from DAVE. A source informs us that Phil Vibert stepped down as head booker just an hour or two ago, and was replaced by a girl previously unknown in wrestling circles. The girl, whose name is Claire Maynard, is in her mid-20's. Apparently Nemesis was looking very pleased with himself when the news was announced... not that we're suggesting anything!

3 hours later. [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]VIBERT'S LAST SHOW [/B] As things stand, looks like DAVE's Lords of the Ring last month has turned out to be the last big show with owner Phil Vibert booking. We figured we'd better remind those people who weren't watching (most of you!) what happened. New Jersey Devils (Tank Bradley and Alex Braun) went over the McWade Brothers (Dean and Dallas) in a ** match. Tank Bradley looked a real star here, mainly due to Braun carrying him through the entire match. Kurt Laramee beat Matt Sparrow to end their three weak feud. Sorry, did I put 'weak'? Can you blame me? This feud's taken Sparrow from being a guy no one had ever seen, to a guy no one has ever cared about. As for Laramee, thank the Lord he can talk, because he sure as hell can't wrestle. This got 1/2* and liked it. In a match between the four face painted guys in DAVE (hey, think that's a bad hook? At least it exists, unlike Vibert's build-up for the damn contest.), the Animalz won by count out over the New Wave. Awful booking, reducing this to 3/4*, with the Animalz looking washed up - a title change here was sorely needed. Eddie Peak's long awaited collision with Henry Lee was a decent match, with Lee picking up a win in this non-title steel cage bout. It remains to be seen whether this leads to a continution of the feud, with Lee challenging for Peak's Brass Knux belt. Finally, Bryan Holmes defended his Unified title against Chris Caulfield in a match which was pretty good, but suffered from a real cop out ending. *** for this one, but if Holmes is planning on spending most of the next month in Japan, you have to think this should have been the place for a title change. So, all in all, a reasonable card, but you have to say that Vibert dropped the ball by leaving the titles on Holmes and the Animalz when common sense dictated changes - did he do it just to be unpredictable? If so, maybe he needs to realise that unpredictable's not always good. Then again, maybe he doesn't need to realise anything, now the fragrant Miss Maynard's got the book.

[COLOR=Blue]Headline:[/COLOR][B]DAVE - ROSTER ANALYSIS[/B] We thought Miss Maynard might need some advice on who's who in DAVE - so we figured we'd help her, and our readers, out by reminding them about all the currently contracted guys. Read on... [B]Main eventers [/B] Henry Lee - The Icon of Insanity is a bump machine, even if he's not a great worker. In the middle of a decent run at the moment, having beaten Martin, Laramee, and both of the New Wave in recent weeks. Nemesis - The best known of DAVE's guys, Nemesis is a former SWF star respected by all - except former boss Richard Eisen. Despite not wrestling at the last big show, he's in a great run at the moment and more influential than ever - as seen by the appointment of Claire Maynard, who seems to be a friend of his, as head booker. Eric Tyler - The 46 year old 'Traditionalist' is a very good mat wrestler with lots of charisma. A much respected locker room leader, he's recently had a fantastic run of matches to take him back up to the top of the card. Chris Caulfield - Best friends with Phil Vibert, and another locker room leader. The Hardcore American has been involved in several poor storylines recently though, and Vibert may have dropped the ball by not giving him the belt at the show just past. Shawn Gonzalez - After years in a JTTS role, Gonzalez was rewarded recently with a hard push up to the main event. However, booking since he's got there has been erratic to say the least, with him still jobbing a lot - just generally in the last match rather than one of the first few. [B]Upper Midcarders [/B] Eddie Peak - The DAVE Brass Knuckles champion is a massive star in the making. Entertaining and excellent at brawling, Eddie is the better of the two Peak brothers, and is starting to move towards wrestling more singles matches. Unfortunately, he's only on a verbal contract. He's loyal to Vibert - but will that be enough to stop him moving if one of the big feds comes calling? Guide - One half of the New Wave tag team, Guide is a decent all rounder. He's also one of the few DAVE guys under a long term written contract, reportedly with two years or so left to go. Scout - Long time tag partner of Guide, Scout is a very good technical wrestler. Just a shame they didn't put the belts on the Wave a few weeks back when the fans were crying out for it. Johnny Martin - Formerly the main man of DAVE, Martin is nowhere near the competitor he was a few years ago, despite being only 36. A long run of hardcore matches have taken their toll on him, but he's still loved by most of the fans. Big Cat Brandon - Up until six months or so back, brawler James Brandon was looked upon as perhaps the next of DAVE's breakout stars. However, a horrible loss of momentum from the 33 year old and his tag partner, the Wolverine, has got many believing that he's destined to be just an afterthought in wrestling history. The Wolverine - 40 year old partner of Big Cat Brandon in the Animalz, the brawler can hold his own in the ring. As mentioned, though, the team are on a real slide now, and it will take some recovering from. Alex Braun - The 44 year old Ice Man, who older readers may remember as JTTS Ace Freeze in 80's SWF, is a veteran face. For the past few years, he's carried youngster Tank Bradley, his tag partner in the New Jersey Devils. Vin Tanner - The 38 year old V Man is another of DAVE's reliable, but unspectacular, brawlers. Is one of many - see Art Reed, the McWades, Doug Peak, and several others - who need a better character. Bryan Holmes - The DAVE Unified champion is a very good technician. Unfortunately for Claire, he's also committed to PHGW, and the Japanese federation is thought to be his main priority for the near future. Is he REALLY the right man to be holding the belt? Vibert seems to have been considering taking it away from him for a few months now, but has pulled back at the last minute with weird decisions like the DQ loss to Caulfield last month. [B]Midcarders [/B] Kurt Laramee - The King of the Streets is looked down on by most smarks due to his lack of wrestling ability, but if you get past that, he's very entertaining, and sheer gold on the mic. Tank Bradley - The much younger, and less talented, partner of Alex Braun, Bradley is an almost stereotypically average brawler. He's being pushed BIG, though, picking up the win in most of the NJ Devils' recent matches. JD Morgan - The veteran British middleweight is an accomplished technician. He's come to DAVE to gain experience in the US, and so far has mainly been used to put people over. Art Reed - A Canadian technician, Reed is excellent in the ring, but has had virtually no time since signing for DAVE to get his character over. In fact, we're not even sure he HAS a character. On the plus side, he's another with a written contract, so Miss Maynard will have time to work on that. [B]Lower Midcarders[/B] Acid - Formerly the best independent cruiserweight around, the masked man Acid is now on a written contract with Dave, believed to have about a year left to run. Hasn't been used properly so far though, with rumours that the top guys are reluctant to see him given a chance to steal the show. Doug Peak - An okay brawler, Doug is benefitting from the association with brother and tag partner Eddie, the DAVE Brass Knuckles champion. Sammy Bach - Looks scarily like Keanu Reeves. Apart from that, is a decent high flyer who can also get technical. Teams with Teddy Powell in Adrenaline Rush. Teddy Powell - A wholesome babyface, Powell is the other half of the Rush. [B]Openers[/B] Dallas McWade - Identical twin of Dean McWade, the Canadian and his brother have done reasonably well as a pair of big heel brawlers in the fed whose sole purpose is to look impressively big when they're getting squashed. Dean McWade - See above. [B] Enhancement Talent[/B] Tatsukichi - One of DAVE's more intriguing characters, Tatsu is supposedly the descendant of an ancient Mongol king. The 22 year old came over from Japan a few months back, started off working opening matches, and has been looking very impressive despite having a poor win-loss record. Matt Sparrow - Another of DAVE's up and coming youngsters, the Bird Man is an exciting cruiserweight. The feud with Kurt Laramee set him back, if anything, but he's got enough talent to rise past that. [B] The Other Guys[/B] Carl Batch - Charismatic young manager who handles business for the Peaks. Cat Jemson - Star on the rise. Originally got her job as a manager because she's dating Kurt Laramee off screen, but has proved herself to be one of the top valets around. Currently the cheerleader for the New Jersey Devils. Easy Emma - Extremely entertaining seductress, who manages Bryan Holmes. Hell's Bouncer - Impressive youngster who wants to start wrestling more. He currently plays the bodyguard of Kurt Laramee. Mitch Naess - Young announcer. Phil Vibert - Owner, color commentator, and former head booker of DAVE. He'll be handing booking duties over to Claire RM Stones and Ryan Holland - Referees.

[COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]DAVE MASS WALKOUT?[/B] Several wrestlers in DAVE are reportedly very unhappy at the thought of a woman booking the federation. With SWF looking for new blood, and TCW and NOTBPW both believed to be expanding slightly, many will have opportunities to further their careers elsewhere. Don't be surprised if the likes of Eddie Peak, Vin Tanner, Shawn Gonzalez, and Johnny Martin wrestle their last match for DAVE soon.

[I]December 2nd 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]TUESDAY NIGHT WAR[/B] SWF went into New Jersey, DAVE's heartland, last night for a really good TV show, and drew a full house of 10,000, thanks to two well-promoted title matches and a big main event. Calamari Kid and Joe Sexy defeated Angry Gilmore and Enygma, respectively, to retain their belts, while Runaway Train pinned Christian Faith in a **** main event. In Pennsylvania, TCW put on a show which was generally a bit below that of their rivals, but it did feature a classic main - Tommy Cornell retained the TCW World title against Ricky Dale Johnson, in a **** 1/2 match. The rest of the matches were so-so, with only BLZ Bubb and Charlie Thacker's defeat of Painful Procedure standing out as special.

[I]December 3rd 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]CLAIRE MAYNARD LOOKING FOR NEW TALENT[/B] New DAVE head booker Claire Maynard is believed to be looking at a big roster overhaul, with several intriguing rumours coming out of New Jersey - perhaps the most interesting being the addition of a Women's belt soon. AAA star Cherry Bomb has hinted at receiving an interesting offer over the past few days, and Miss Maynard was seen in Paris for UCR's Deuces are Wild event last night - an event which saw an excellent bout between Mr Evilness and Geena the Warrior Princess.

[COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]FIRST MATCHES ANNOUNCED FOR CLAIRE MAYNARD'S FIRST SHOW[/B] The official DAVE website has just announced two matches for Danger Zone TV tomorrow night. Big Cat Brandon and the Wolverine will defend the DAVE Tag Team titles against the McWade Brothers, and the main event will see Eric Tyler collide with Chris Caulfield.

[I]December 5th 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]MAYNARD'S FIRST SHOW, COMPLETE REVIEW HERE![/B] [COLOR=Red] HOLT: Roving Reporter Kade Weller was on hand in New York to see DAVE's first show under Claire Maynard, opened by a pair of dark matches involving a couple of newcomers to DAVE being given tryouts today. In the first, Zeus Maxmillion bumped around for veteran Johnny Martin, before submitting to a figure four. ** match, both earned by Martin. Zeus had 5 minutes to sell the company on him, and failed miserably. In the second, cruiserweight Acid took on indy darling Fox Mask. The two had an open match but seemed to be holding back slightly, as they went to a 10 minute draw. ** 1/2, not up to the level you'd expect from these two, especially when you remember their past matches in smaller feds, but warmed the crowd up well after that poor first match.[/COLOR] [COLOR=Blue] Hell's Bouncer got his first outing as a wrestler to open things up for the taped broadcast. Quick squash match, as Bouncer tore apart Matt Sparrow, who's now moved down from feuding with Laramee to jobbing quickly to Laramee's bodyguard. Poor guy. Damnation drop finished this in 3 minutes, I'll give it * 1/2 for decent selling from Sparrow and impressive power from HB. Next up, Carl Batch intros a bikini contest. Hey, equal opportunities rawk - now we have a woman booker encouraging the chicks to show their skin. Cat Jemson beats Easy Emma and newcomer Geena the Warrior Princess, who looks less than thrilled to be used like this. Crowd dug this one, though, with Emma looking VERY hot. Ah... okay, now things get going. Emma is not happy with the decision, and slaps Jemson, then tries to rip off her bikini. Out of the crowd comes a leather clad woman in a vampirish gimmick - AAA's Cherry Bomb making her DAVE debut - who joins in the attack. Geena, who's started to walk back down the aisle, turns around and charges back for the save, and we see her and Bomb go at it until refs and security tear them apart. The big tag title match comes next, as the Animalz take on the McWade Brothers. The Animalz dominate as expected, and get the win. ** [COLOR=Black][OOC: Not sure what the hell happened - I assume I screwed up on the booking - but Dean McWade pinned Dean McWade here! Not what I wanted to happen.][/COLOR] Brass Knuckles title match, a hardcore 3 way, sees Vin Tanner and Kurt Laramee challenge Eddie Peak. And to the delight of the crowd, there's a title change - Tanner beating Peak with a V For Victory to gain the belt. Peak gets barely any offense, and Tanner dominates the match, with Laramee looking okay. ** 1/2 for this one. A short but excellent hype video for Chris Caulfield prepares us for our main event, and we're on to Caulfield vs Tyler - in a STEEL CAGE! Chris pulls out the win here, and despite looking tired towards the end of this 17 minute match, looked very good. Tyler held his own and was booked to look strong, eventually losing when Chris crotched him on the top of the cage and just managed to drop to the outside before Tyler could follow him down. ****, vying with SWF's Train/Faith bout for 2nd place in the match of the week honours. Good card, mainly down to the main, but with the bikini contest and what looks like being a Geena/Cherry feud to kickstart the new women's division being interesting developments.[/COLOR]

[I]December 6th 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]DAVE'S FIRST LOSSES![/B] As predicted earlier this week EXCLUSIVELY on this site, Henry Lee has become the first big star to leave DAVE! He's just signed a written contract with SWF. Also, Cat Jemson has quit the Tri-State based hardcore fed to go north of the border with NOTBPW - and rumors have it that she may be joined by boyfriend Kurt Laramee sooner rather than later.

[I]December 7th 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]MINNESOTA'S LAST MATCH![/B] Earlier tonight, 300 fans at NYCW's Painkiller show saw Joey Minnesota's last match in the fed. The young star, who is one of a number to sign with SWF over the past week, blew off his feud with American Buffalo by jobbing cleanly in what was said to be a very good brawl. Buffalo put him down to retain . Post match, Buffalo beat down Minnesota, until the Mr America saved, chasing Buffalo off and then raising Minnesota onto his shoulders as the crowd gave the popular youngster a standing ovation. Joey cut one last heartfelt promo, telling the fans that he had to take the shot at the big time but that he was sorry to leave, and the crowd went wild for him for the last time. This was also the last NYCW match for Grandmaster Phunk, who teamed with Honest Frank in an anti-climatic main event to put over American Made Men and send the crowd home happy. Phunk will join Joey in the big league of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, where he's expected to go back to the Danny B Bling character he used in his previous spell in that fed.

[I]December 8th 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]MORE LOSSES FOR DAVE[/B] With Kurt Laramee rumored all week to be negotiating with Canadian fed NOTBPW, after girlfriend Cat Jemson signed for them a few days ago, SWF have sensationally signed him to a written contract! The news will be a major blow for both NOTBPW and current employers DAVE, who were hoping to keep him. And DAVE also deal with losing someone else to NOTBPW - Carl Batch, manager of the Peak Brothers, has just signed a written contract with them.

[I]December 9th 2005[/I] [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]TUESDAY NIGHT WAR[/B] SWF's show in Miami tonight received underwhelming reviews, with a disappointing main event seeing Runaway Train go over Lobster Warrior, and nothing else catching the eye. TCW's show was nothing special either, but was rescued from mediocrity by Peter Valentine and Tommy Cornell's great main event. Valentine pulled off the shock win in the non-title match - it's good to be best friends with the head booker, isn't it Peter? To job like that, Cornell must see something in Valentine that no-one else does... Good buildup to the match, though, with the show continually adding viewers each half-hour. SWF may be worried that they lost well over 10% of their audience for the middle half hour, which saw Jumbo Shrimp vs Warlord Agony and far too much filler. [COLOR=Blue]Headline[/COLOR]: [B]DAVE'S NEXT SHOW[/B] Just announced for DAVE's next show, Geena the Warrior Princess vs The Red Plague (Cherry Bomb's name in the fed), plus new signings Hell Monkey and Fox Mask debut against the McWades, and a big main event of Caulfield vs Nemesis.
