Thanks to everyone who's predicted so far, and everyone who will before the show goes up. I can already tell that tallying predictions after this is going to get interesting, and it's been instructive to read the opinions and choices people have made so far... Show will probably be up in around 24 hours.

1. Joel Bryant w/ Herb Stately vs. Tom Gilmore w/ Kit Hatoyama Gilmore's got a lot more going for him in every respect. He's the better fighter, he's able to fight for days, he's been booked stronger, he's got the storyline going in. Easy win for Gilmore here. 2. Steve Flash vs. Rich Money w/ Floyd Goldworthy I feel like Gilmore goes through to the finals... might as well give him a heel to fight in Round 2. 3. Horatio Dangerous vs. JD Morgan w/ Wanda Fish I almost want to give Dangerous the win here in the whole thing... I don't know if the face turn has already happened for him, but it's happening, and I wouldn't be shocked to see him finally capture a title here in the twilight of his career. All that having been said, I don't see Dangerous pulling that win in this physically demanding format. He can't have the stamina of a Gilmore or an Arsenal. And I don't see the Invasion rolling over just yet. I'll go further than Regis: Dangerous wins by DQ, but is beat down to the extent that he either has to forfeit round 2, or is at least seriously weakened. One caveat: if Dangerous has announced his retirement, maybe he DOES win the whole thing. He's got to be getting up there, no? But I don't think this is a rush job, not timed as it is to coincide with the introduction of his sons as a tag team. 4. Demon Anger w/ Helen Bach vs. Human Arsenal The setup seems to go to Anger. The three-match thing appears to go to Arsenal, unless Anger has way more stamina back in '98. I'm not sure Arsenal has been booked as a legit contender just yet, but he very easily could be. In the long run, I just can't imagine a face vs. face final. W1 vs. W2 Gilmore! W3 vs W4 Anger? PRIDE OF PHILADELPHIA Gilmore wins the thing. PPPW Tri-State Championship Brent Hill (c) vs. Chris Rockwell Rockwell is shaken. Maybe he's normally a contender, maybe he's not, but he's not today.

Dangerous says something, and Morgan turns away; Fish stops him for a moment and they have a whispered conference before Fish nods to Dangerous, who lets his head sink back to the canvas, clearly relieved despite JD's visible frustration. Arsenal snarls. “It started last month. Our war has already seen the recon, the peace talks, the declaration, and the first battle. “Tonight, I feel like fighting the second.” Dropping the microphone, he sprints to the ring; Money bails, and Maverick and Karloff stand firm. - Arsenal plunges off the apron and Karloff goes with him, driven into a steel chair that buckles and collapses with the impact. And Azaria and Barber, at the time, stumble over words and then fall silent. - Brent Hill, in the ring."And now you're done with your own little quest, and before anyone puts their vote in for the shot at Pride of Philadelphia – and before someone wins that and claims their shot – I'm looking forward to it. “Come that tournament, it's the Pride of Philadelphia against the SoCal Champion, the Pride of New York, the man with two names,” which draws a laugh from the Coastal Zone regulars in the crowd, “Brent Hill against Chris Rockwell.” Rockwell grins. “One shot at the top, brother,” he replies. “Another chance to show the fans what it is to be Chris Rockwell. To show them what they can be if they try hard enough.” - Dangerous lies in the ring for a moment while Wanda, Morgan, and Giedroyc look down on him, hands on their hips, smirking. Then he scrambles to his feet – only to be met by Giedroyc's Crashing On. Wanda follows that with a stilettoed superkick that sends him reeling. “You were tailor-made to be backup, but you couldn't live with that. And I only got so many matches left to make myself a legend. I can't carry dead weight with me, and you can't be more. “See you around, sunbeam. Don't get in my way.” - “You're thinking too far ahead, Chris,” Money fires off. “You're thinking past your match with me tonight. “No, no, nothing so easily healed.” Money smiles. “You know already – hell, I warned everybody, I flat-out told you this was going to happen – I found a way inside everyone's head. I found a way to beat you all. And you, Chris, you were the easiest of all. Your cracked obsession with winning pure at all costs... “You were so happy, weren't you, to finally do it? So happy to beat the Pistol? You felt like it proved something. “What if I told you I paid him to take a dive?” - Horatio Dangerous, in front of the interview screen. “JD, I know you're entering the Pride of Philly. The same goes for me. So maybe I'll meet you there, and maybe I'll have to take a little longer before I get a chance. But I let this happen, and that means it's up to me to stop you. “You're not so old I can't beat some sense into you.” - “Put simply, you aren't going to win, Tom, you don't have a chance.” Goldworthy smiles. “Quite simply, the winner will be one of the biggest-earning investments in professional wrestling. The winner will have me standing by their side when they accept the trophy. “And you can consider that a solid Gold Guarantee.” He glances around. “Look at what we've done in such a short time, people. We will own this company sooner rather than later, and you've just got to get used to it. Anyone in our way is going to have a hell of a time. “Tom, you brought in your little action pack. That made you target number one. “You're not anymore. That honour goes to the man who put the Krusher in the hospital. But you're still high on the list, Tom, and rest assured you're going to get yours.” He grins. “Give some thought to dropping out before this Saturday,” he says at last. “There's no real need to break you in two. But Anger will, if your paths cross, and he'll make sure it's worse than it was last time, guaranteed. “Or you can accept the new life. It's your choice.” - Chris Rockwell strolls down to the ring, accepting the microphone and looks around the fans before climbing up onto a turnbuckle, sitting there, looking at everyone. “I've been back here a while,” he begins. “Over a year, now. And I've been friends with Brent nearly as long. “In spite of that... in two weeks, it may well be that I take the championship from him. You all know I'll be giving it everything I have to offer.” He smiles slightly. “I don't expect Brent to do any less. First off, he doesn't. Second, in two weeks he isn't the Pride of Philadelphia anymore. “Someone else – someone not either of us – gets that. So if I beat him, he loses two titles in one night." w/ vs. w/ Joel Bryant w/ Herb Stately vs. Tom Gilmore w/ Kit Hatoyama Probably the best opening match in Philly Pro history as both men go right to work, setting a pace the PPV will have to work hard to maintain. Bryant tries to contain things entirely on the ground, but Gilmore's just too fast, staying airborne for much of the match, striking fast and hard to keep the veteran off-balance – something he's not quite able to do, particularly with Stately's words of encouragement from ringside. Azaria has seized on Money's thrown-away dismissive description of Gilmore's allies and is referring to him throughout as the 'leader of the Action Pack', mocking strongly. A running lariat by Gilmore is countered by a massive backdrop that sends Gilmore all the way out of the ring; as Bryant recovers himself, Emma Chase is suddenly at ringside, confronting Jay Fair – and the Man Mountain is in the ring! Bryant and Cahill go toe-to-toe for a few moments, Joel even hoisting Cahill for a moment as if setting up for the One Shot Drop, but he can't quite hold the big man. A Cahill Crunch follows, and the Man Mountain follows that by pressing Gilmore back through the ropes and into the cover. Thatcher cackles. “Hey, Anger,” he says, “Hope you're watching this...” He bursts into a sprint. At the last moment, Maverick manages to shift the hold into a headlock, keeping Arsenal's face right in line for the running big boot. Arsenal starts to sag, and Maverick keeps the hold on. “That was for Krusher, you dumb ****-knocker,” Thatcher snarls, backing off. “This is for my buddy the Demon.” Another running boot smashes into the Arsenal's face. “Still planning on putting in an appearance? Huh? Huh?” Thatcher's boot crashes in again. “Alright, I'm done,” he says. “Choke him out, Johnny.” Maverick promptly drops into the Deadly Silence as the camera feed ends. The message is clear; Human Arsenal will not be competing tonight. Goldworthy has Fair's full attention, and as the fans roar a warning, Steve Flash turns around in time to take a Ninja Strike from the top turnbuckle. Another former DaVE champion has arrived in Philly Pro, and Fumihiro Ota gives Money a high-five before leaving the ring. Professor Nero's voice begins a voiceover as a number of pit bulls and rottweilers swarm into shot, scrabbling at the steak. “An attack dog does everything full throttle. Their powerful jaws will tear though wooden fences to get to the next door neighbors garden in no time so watch out! Totally fearless and curious, they're liable to jump off of a deck or walk through broken glass.” The camera pulls out to reveal Dog Fyte walking among the dogs dispensing steaks casually, while Nero and Tornado watch on from above, safely outside a chainlink fence. Tornado picks up the story. “Do not allow it to be off its leash unless it is safe to do so. And it's only safe...” His hand slams into a grip on the fence. “When the dog is caged. “Whistler, you and your buddy want me to let the dog off his leash. Well, I'll do that... but it's going to be not just in a cage, but in a Dog Pound. “You're wondering what that is. Well, tough ****. You wanna know? For the first time these two men face off on opposite sides, and the crowd recognise early on that their shared background has given them an intuitive understanding of the other's style that allows them to pull off a number of truly spectacular exchanges, bringing the fans into the match to almost the same degree the other contests so far have managed. Since the British Invasion first showed signs of splintering, there's been a degree of speculation as to who the better wrestler is – and that speculation is only going to catch fire after this, as neither man can find a way around their opponent in time; after fifteen minutes, the tournament time limit kicks in, much to the frustration of the crowd. Horatio Dangerous drew with JD Morgan Rating: C The view changes now, showing the Golden Age locker room as they watch. “That means you get by again!” Floyd Goldworthy exults. “Anger, you've got the finals!” Rich Money smiles. “And when I get past Gilmore, it's gonna be an all-Golden final,” he says, turning to Ota. “Thank you, by the way. I take it you got the check?” Ota simply nods, and Thatcher grins. “Alright,” Thatcher growls. “So the new kid gonna give you a hand with Gilmore, right?” Money nods. “Absolutely.” “Just one thing,” Anger growls, and they fall silent, watching him. “If he beats ya – an' I'm just saying if, but he's got puppets of his own – if he beats ya, if it's me an' him, nobody better get involved. Me an' him is personal, and I'll deal with it myself, get me?” He snarls. “Nobody I send to hospital gets out inside a week...” Somewhat sobered by the Demon's outburst, Money nods. A fraction later, taking their cue from Money, so do the others. The camera cuts to another locker room after that, and a furious Steve Flash slams a gloved fist into the locker door in frustration. “Calm down, Steve,” a confident Southern voice intercedes, and Ricky Dale Johnson steps into shot to a huge pop. Steve turns to look at him, and Johnson smiles. “They want to get under your skin, man,” he says. “You've heard Money all along. He wants a handle on everyone, something he can do to get through to them. Remember what Anger tried when I fought him? “Getting you mad is a cheap trick. They're using that because with you they're flying blind – they need to gang up to get by you. “We got to keep that going, Steve.” After a moment, Flash nods in acknowledgement, and Ricky smiles. “That's what I'm talkin' about,” he says encouragingly. Following a World Shatters attempt which Money countered by flinging Jay Fair into Gilmore's grip, thus putting the ref out of it, Ota makes his presence known, going for the Ninja Strike on a savvy and aware Gilmore, who ducks the shot – and, moments later, drops flat again to allow Kit Hatoyama to nail Ota with a springboard dropkick. As it turns into a two-on-two brawl we see another man sprint down to even the score, Ricky Dale Johnson cutting off a low blow attempt by Money, laying him out with a Southern Cross and taking Ota out of the ring entirely with his trademark leaping lariat. Ota and Johnson brawl their way to the back as the referee recovers, and Gilmore – refusing to take advantage of a Money downed by another man – goes back to war. The contest ends only when the World Shatters finally reconnects. I, uh... I was just checking on... Well. Joel's downed. We're done tonight. Let's go clubbing.” She leaves, still obviously a little uncomfortable. After a long moment, Cahill silently follows, while the camera turns back to show that the door was labelled MEDICAL FACILITY. Finally, Brent Hill finishes with the King of the Hill after a long contest to solid but not huge applause. Brent Hill defeated Chris Rockwell Rating: C PPPW Pride of Philadelphia Final w/ vs. w/ Demon Anger w/ Helen Bach vs. Tom Gilmore w/ Kit Hatoyama Rich Money joins the announce team for this match – which keeps the fans buoyant, though it can't even dream of measuring up to the prior contest. Anger's assault starts early and is brutal from the off, and while Gilmore rallies early and often, he's clearly exhausted, having run a heavy gauntlet twice in six days. Still, Gilmore has learned from two months ago, and almost all of Anger's usual spots are scouted, with counters and comebacks planned; pure fury and brute strength is clearly not enough here. The wily powerhouse switches down a gear to containment strikes and stalking, letting Gilmore start to come back and eventually drive Anger onto the ropes. As this begins to happen, Jason Azaria's play-by-play slowly swings from the shamelessly partisan to awed by the sheer fight in Gilmore, the tenacity, the way he seems to reach out to the crowd and to Kit whenever he's trapped, finding strength in Kit's eyes and the crowd's support. By the end of the match Azaria is calling it exactly as he sees it, giving both sides credit as, after a long, long battle, it finally isn't enough; Tom Gilmore mounts the top turnbuckle for a moonsault, only to be snatched off it in prime position for a Demon Slam that finishes it off. Demon Anger defeated Tom Gilmore Rating: C+ Brent Hill makes his way out as the trophy is presented, belt around his waist, and watches Anger carefully, knowing he'll have to face him next month. The Demon stares at him for a long moment before pointing at the champion, throwing his head back in a howl of maniac laughter, then erupts into the primal scream as the show ends. -- The best match raised the bar too high for later bouts, and the overall reaction was, as a result, not as strong as the first year's tournament. Nonetheless, Philly Pro made headlines with this show for the right reasons, drawing in both their largest attendance and highest buyrate to date. But when we signed Anger, he had a clause...” He falls silent for a moment and considers. “What was just starting in ninety-seven, ninety-eight, was the idea that a wrestler might get an agent in to sort out their contract. It was happening all the time in fiction – but not so much in life, and then they started to happen. I believe Sam Strong was the first, when Stallings opened HGC. “Sam told me that when Stallings phoned him he actually asked for his agent's details to negotiate, and that got Sam thinking about it. When he found out he'd got a better deal through it, well... “Word gets around, and a lot of the HGC crew grabbed agents. They were the first. “We needed Anger to help offset losing Tommy Cornell, when we signed him, and as a result I signed a deal that... Put it this way. Pete Hall didn't make as much money. “And Pete Hall hadn't asked for his title run, either. “People talk like creative control – what Sam Keith's got since he moved – is a new thing, a product of the last ten or fifteen years. “And creative control as something official, in the contract, is. Same thing with guaranteed title victories, guaranteed recognition, the absolute promise that you will main event a big show...” He chuckles. “But if you think those ideas are new, think again. Any big enough name always got that promised to them; before your time's up you'll have the title, I swear, just come in at the price we set. “Anger had the same agent most of the HGC boys did, and this agent had been told about perks. One of Anger's was that he was going to hold gold. “Now, Anger's a damn good wrestler, and he deserved to hold gold with us. He was a big name for us, a big draw, a professional – only Pete Hall was, really, a better Texas-style brawl-around-the-ring wrestler. “But there was very little I could do with him as a reigning champion that wouldn't work just as well without the belt, and the belt could help other people. So we compromised, and he got his main event, he got his big win, and we got a big headline match which we'd never have had if he'd had to go through two guys first. “Tom Gilmore I was very grateful to. Tom Gilmore could knock off three matches in a night pretty much any show, not that we were that likely to ask him to. Anger... not so much. “I've never been sure whether he was pissed it was only a one night thing or not.”

Prediction Key: Coleman & Ferdinand vs. Dangerous Brothers Coleman & Ferdinand aren't receiving a concerted push, and Horatio's kids are. Horatio Dangerous vs. Man Mountain Cahill w/ Emma Chase Because there will be interference. Yes, Cahill sucks compared to Horatio, but if he just loses every time he gets into the ring he becomes a jobber to the stars and his monster cred goes down the toilet. Fumihiro Ota w/ Floyd Goldworthy vs. Steve Flash But a win by DQ after massive interference from the Golden Age.

Both teams kick off fundamentally on the same page, with all four men working hard, looking to divide the ring and show off their stuff; the fact that both teams have a strong Japanese edge to their styles probably also helps as they try to fight the tide of crowd apathy, but only the big double-teams get a significant pop; the sacrifice superplex that Azaria dubbed 'Gojira Falls' gets a strong reaction, though Richard Dangerous saves his brother from the ensuing pin. As only the double spots really pick up the crowd's attention, it's a shame that the match goes out as it began; one on one, with Stuart Ferdinand crashing to the mat following Richard's Dangerous Brainbuster. The Dangerous Brothers defeated Coleman & Ferdinand Rating: E+ “Nero!” The voice is booming, the voice is mike-amplified, the voice comes from within the crowd; the camera takes a moment to find its owner, but Whistler – and his tag partner Marlowe – are near the back, hanging out with a number of obviously-delighted audience members, and Whistler has a microphone. “Tell your dogs the answer is yes. We'll take you on. How about next week you show us what this damn match is?” vs. w/ Horatio Dangerous vs. Man Mountain Cahill w/ Emma Chase Emma appears almost disinterested in this one, but as Azaria's quick to point out, it's no wonder – the Man Mountain is far too big to sink with a half-nelson suplex, too strong not to break a full nelson, so what on earth does Dangerous think he has in his arsenal to beat him? And that's how it goes for the first little while, as Cahill bounces the veteran around the ring, never really turning on the intensity of a Cahill's Corner – but then, there's no time limit here, and he seems determined to take his time, savour the victory. Emma slides over onto commentary's third seat, putting her man over solidly, spending the downtime between spots being questioned, occasionally, about who she's been talking to that she doesn't want Cahill to find out about – and dodging the questions astutely. Dangerous clearly sees that he can't out-brawl Cahill, and attempts what he always attempts in these situations – to out-wrestle him. But when someone's so strong you can barely move their arm, how do you apply an armbar? He begins to shift gears again, moving on to harrassment tactics – a drop toehold, grounded headlocks, even a rare foray off the second rope into a dropkick – and that begins to have more effect. Cahill picks up his pace a little, but the swings go wild, he can't quite connect with Dangerous – and the end result is surprising, as Dangerous manages to wear Cahill down slightly, nearly choke him out with a headlock that Azaria, reciting a litany of facts about the move and its once-storied history, almost makes interesting, before positioning the bent-double Cahill, grabbing a handfull of tights- PILEDRIVER! Much to Emma's astonishment (her attention having finally focused back onto the match) that is, once Dangerous rolls Cahill onto his back, all she wrote. Horatio Dangerous defeated Man Mountain Cahill Rating: D+ The video feed comes on smoothly, an Earlier today logo displayed in the lower right. Steve Flash, shorn of his warpaint, makes his way through the corridors of a hospital, an expression of concern on his face. Eventually he finds his destination; a hospital bed, the curtains drawn, concealing the identity of whoever may be in there. Flash halts for a moment, banishing the concern, fixing a reassuring smile on his face, and draws the curtain back. For a moment, whoever's in the bed can't be seen beneath the bedsheets- And then Tom Gilmore sits up, bare to the waist, one hand suspended from the supports above the bed, a surprised look on his face – which broadens rapidly to a smile. “Steve!” he beams. “What's up?” “I just came to see how you are,” Flash says, and then he halts, as if noticing something. The other wrist support is occupied, but that's not Gilmore's hand... Kit Hatoyama sits up, smiling quietly to herself, down to her bra. “I'm interrupting again, aren't I?” Steve asks. “Yeah, but we'll forgive you,” Gilmore grins, then his expression changes. “I'll live, man, and that means I still have priorities. What's going on this week?” “From our point of view? Not much. The guys who're staying out of it have most of the show.” Flash smiles. “Of course, half the point of us doing this is so they can stay out of it. I asked for a match with Ota after he cost me my shot at the tournament, though.” Gilmore nods. “Good luck with that, man. Last time we saw Ota he was being humiliated by Money; the guy's got to him somehow.” Flash nods. “If he can keep bringing these guys in, Tom, it doesn't look good-” “Hey,” Gilmore cuts in, obviously concerned for his friend's attitude. “Don't sweat that. We can get past this. We can beat 'em. “Thing is, at the moment they've got almost all of us scouted, and we don't have that for them. We need our own intelligence in this war, man. And I've got an idea...” His gaze drifts. “Aw, man, you brought a cameraman.” “I thought the fans would appreciate-” “Oh, sure,” Gilmore nods. “I hope they do. God knows I appreciate them. But...” He smiles into the camera lens. “Would you guys excuse us? I hear Money tapes the show, and we want to talk strategy...” vs. Fumihiro Ota vs. Steve Flash Floyd Goldworthy busies himself at the announce table during this one, explaining his presence as 'concern over recent bipartisan announcing' for which Azaria apologises profusely before the claim is even explained. The contest itself runs its way out almost to the time limit, both men putting in great work – and once again, Azaria finds himself getting into the action, talking up Ota's accomplishments (former DaVE champion before leaving that company, former SoCal champion) early on but beginning to drift across and make mention of Flash's success in Canada. As expected, the match itself is easily the best of the night, climaxing in a Flash Bang that seems to come from absolutely nowhere – securing Flash the pinfall with literally seconds left on the clock. As time ticks down to the end of the show, Charlie Thatcher sprints down the ramp to add to the chaotic brawl which is the last image viewers see this week. -- Philly Pro's run of Vegas luck continues mostly due to a good main event. With the way the Golden Age had kicked off, when we sat down in late ninety-eight he was pretty much guaranteed to be on every show – but not only that, there was a solid chance he'd have two to three times the work to do when he was working. “Most fans won't know this, as I've never known him use his own life for interviews, but Floyd's kind of a family guy, and his eldest was just coming up on Little League age. He was working for us, he was working for the old SWF feeder league – I think he was managing Randall there, who was working the Bandit #1 gimmick, so by that point he'd already worked with almost everyone he made the big leagues with - Rip Chord made him one of his priority signings for Southern Class, and we had him working constantly... “That's seven dates a month, which doesn't sound like much. Add in travel and you're looking at the better part of two weeks, plus his day job, and it ain't much time for the kids. “But he didn't ask for more money; he knew we were in a make-or-break time, money-wise, and he wasn't willing to put any more stress on that than he needed to get by. “So that was good – that was really good; Floyd worked damn hard with everyone under his banner. After the show, in the bar, you'd often hear Billy Jack or Maverick cutting promos to give the boys a laugh, and while they weren't great by any stretch, they were getting to a pretty good place. Floyd himself, if anything, was getting better, too – but we still had him for the right price. “Our purse strings were getting pretty awkward in places. We were finally on a less-crappy deal for TV, but it still wasn't brilliant, and neither of us were happy with losing TV entirely – sure, the PPVs would still go out, but you needed some kind of build to them. “We were basically holding our breath, waiting for the financial tide to turn.”

It's even for quite some time, but with the fans squarely on Chandler's side he manages to turn the tide, eventually pinning Bach after a running powerslam. Maverick nearly makes the save, but seems to think better of it just before he gets there... Anyway, it's time I changed that. Here and now I start leading the charge for the under-represented – and I'm going to start it simply. “Bryant. You came here out of some petty vendetta by a manager against a man who beats up civilians. You haven't done well since. But you're taking up time that could be used by one of the talented wrestlers you're keeping down – so how about you either get the hell out of here, or you take me on on pay-per-view at Double or Nothing?” w/ vs. JD Morgan w/ Wanda Fish vs. The Natural A strong match by Morgan in particular, as he goes after the Natural with a vengeance. Both men provide a solid, entertaining and surprisingly fast-paced match, and while Morgan has the upper hand for the majority of the match, he faces a surprise in the tenth minute, immediately following Jay Fair practically diving out of the ring to evade the Natural as Morgan snap suplexes him. Not even Jason Azaria the ever-prepared recognises the behemoth who charges into the ring, laying out Morgan with a big uppercut and a belly-to-belly suplex before rolling out of the ring. Wanda pulls the ref out of the ring before he can complete the count, though, and as the Natural goes after her, Morgan recovers, pulling him away from the ropes and planting him with an inverted DDT before rolling the hold over into a Cross-Atlantic Stretch to pick up the win. Tonight, one on one, the Dog will take the fight to Philly's Own.” Tornado knows his cue. “First of all, everyone – look up.” The camera pans upward showing, for the first time, the steel cage, its higher edges wreathed in barbed wire. Just like a security fence around a dangerous dog. “The rules of the Dog Pound are simple,” he continues. “Everyone gets one weapon. “You go in there and you make your opponent bleed – and then you try and knock them all the way out. “The fight only ends when one side's all that's left. So come Double or Nothing, Whistler, don't think that if your buddy gets KO'ed first it makes you safe – we're going to be doing exactly the same thing to you.” “The rules are simple,” Nero chimes in. “The rules belong to the Dog. The match belongs to the Dog. But just because the rules are simple doesn't mean you know what's coming. Tonight, we give you a taste. “Come on down, Marlowe, and bring your weapon with you.” Dog Fyte rolls into the ring; Tornado then hands him a length of thick steel chain which the Dog wraps around his right fist carefully as Marlowe emerges, bearing a steel chair... Dog Pound Match vs. w/ Black Jack Marlowe vs. Dog Fyte w/ Professor Nero After the pleasant discovery that was Marlowe's singles match with Tornado, fans expected a clash between the two prime brawlers to be quite something to see. Sad to say, nothing of the sort here; maybe it's just the introduction of a new match that puts the fans on edge, maybe something else... Either way, it's just not as good as you'd hope for. Both men are bloodied early into the brawl, and both men bleed freely as they go on. Marlowe manages to work in a spot where, stood on a turnbuckle, he suplexes the Dog up and into the barbed wire atop the cage; after that, however, the match bogs down significantly, turning into a basic slugfest that they can't keep interesting. At the very end, the Dog corners Marlowe, wedging his own chair in front of his face and hammering on it with the chain-wrapped fist until Marlowe slumps, unconscious, to the mat. Good. “'Cuz I'm not gonna be taking you on. I'm giving my title shot to buddy boy here.” Money clasps his hands, nodding confidently. “I've been preparing since before the tournament, Brent,” he says. “And I've got my doorway into your head. Don't expect to be able to concentrate much this next couple of weeks...” -- No one would describe this outing as better than lacklustre.
