Week 2, Wednesday After long and hard negotiations, CWA presents... The Roster Face wrestlers Corporal Reckless Very promising young worker with a backyard background. He has decent performance, entertainment and physical skills but lacks in-ring skill. A nuisance backstage, but if he improves his wrestling and doesn’t enrage the rest of the roster too much, he will be a major player in the CWA for years to come. His gimmick is a gamble, but hopefully the fans will get behind the patriotic military man. Daredevil Aero Aero is one half of the team “No Fear” together with fellow backyarder Daredevil Aero. He is a flashy cruiserweight daredevil (duh!). Fearless Blue Blue is the other half of “No Fear”. He is a cruiserweight with a devil-may-care attitude. Mad Dog Mortimer A nice guy who can perform well if facing a good opponent. Mortimer has a “hockey goon” gimmick with the CWA, and hopefully his skills will improve enough to make him a credible threat to the main eventers. Marshall Williams High Flyer who really needs to improve his physical and performance skills if he wants to get somewhere. Mr. Execution A young wrestling machine with promising technical skills. While not very entertaining, he is a solid wrestler in every other aspect. He has held championship gold in 4C, where he was known as Warren Technique. Heel wrestlers Crash Lewis A veteran low-level worker who may just get his big break in CWA. He needs to improve his game pretty much all-around, but seems willing to work hard. Leo Davis Forms the team “The Vagabonds” with Crash Lewis. He may not be very good at anything in particular, but he is reliable and consistent, and those are important treats to us. Mark Smart Mark is a youngster breaking into the business. Will have to prove himself worthy of the spot, and show that his promising skills can improve. Paul Steadyfast He is solid in the ring and is the best we have when it comes to carrying an opponent through a match. Paul is our most decorated and well known wrestler, having held titles in TCW as well as NYCW. Rex Reeves An average cruiserweight. Will have to work hard not to fall down the card. Whisky Jack Jack is a decent brawler who, while not that special in the ring and not very entertaining, still is one of our more respected workers. Non-wrestlers Quincy Han**** The owner of CWA works as color commentator on the companies DVD’s. Not being very good at it, he is hoping to improve. Lee Bambino CWA’s mediocre announcer. Made whatever name he has in the business by announcing backyard matches with Aero, Blue and Reckless among others. Reese Paige Our road agent, who sometimes fills in as an extra color commentator and does some in-ring segments to give the male audience something at least resembling eye-candy. Dale Kenney The promotion’s only referee is a bitter former wrestler who has to improve if he wants to stay head referee. Stay tuned for their first in-ring action!

Some OOC: First of all, thanks to those who have commented so far. I hope to provide some entertainment for you. And thanks for the kind comments on my alts. I really enjoy doing them, and sometimes they come out good, sometimes not so much... I have played about 15 months into this game, but have not made any extensive write-ups yet, but am working on them. I am really enjoying the game, and if my readers (if there will be any) can bear with the way I probably will maim the English language in my posts (not my first language), I have hopes of this becoming a long running diary. I realise most people will not want to waste their energy on commenting/predicting in new diaries, but if there is anyone who want to, they are of course more than welcome!

Week 3, Saturday CWA Baptism Under Fire The 53 people who have found their way to the Round Rock Arena are greeted by some local garage band called “Piledriver Paladins” making noise. Likely it is meant to be the events theme song, but the cheap, out-of-tune equipment makes it rather hard on the ears. Quincy Han**** appears at the ring entrance with a microphone in his hand. “Howdy, folks! Good to see y’all here tonight! My name is Quincy Han****, and I am responsible for making this happening. And I’m telling you what you’re about to witness tonight is history in the making! Not only will we crown ourselves a couple of brand new champions, but tonight also marks the time when professional rasslin’ finds it way back to Texas. But I’m not about to be standing here yappin’ any longer. Let’s get things started and let the athletes of Championship Wrestling from Austin have their Baptism Under Fire!” Rating: F “Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for tonight’s first match. It is the first quarter final in the CWA Texas Heavyweight Title tournament and has a 10 minute time limit! Eight men will enter the tournament, one of them will leave this building with the belt strapped around his waist.” “Introducing first, from the Odessa Jackalopes’ reject pile, weighing in at 240 pounds… Maaaad Dog Mortimer!” A single foghorn blare signals Mortimers arrival, and to some cheers from the crowd, the hockey stick wielding man makes his way to the ring. “His opponent hails from Knoxville, Tennessee and is listed at 303 pounds. He is a former member of the legendary Tennessee Outlaws. Whiskyyyyyy Jack!” The “Piledriver Paladins” play a rather crappy version of “Whisky in the jar” as the veteran enters, bad-mouthing the fans on his way to the ring. Quite a few jeers and boos are heard in response. VS After referee Dale Kenney has given them instructions to fight cleanly and that anything they break, they will have to pay for, Jack and Mortimer engage in a brawl. At first, it is rather hesitant, but when Mortimer – much to the crowds delight - floors his opponent with a brutal short arm clothesline, the match grows more intense. After a couple of near falls from both men, Jack gets hold of Mortimers hockey stick and whacks him with it. Kenney either misses or, perhaps more likely, ignores the blatant cheating. Whisky Jack capitalizes and scores the pinfall after a Face First Suplex. Whisky Jack defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 7:47 by pinfall with a Face First Suplex. Rating: E “The next match is the second tournament quarter final. Weighing in at 205 pounds from The Hangman’s Hill: Mr. Execution!” To no music at all, Mr. Execution enters and gets into the ring. He has a no-nonsense air about him. “His opponent, from Los Angeles, California, at a weight of 197 pounds, Mark Smart!” Smart appears, carrying a microphone. “Mr. Execution, I know something the stupidos in the audience don’t. I know that you have been a champion before, but that was far away in another country, and the circumstances were very different. I know this because Iam Mark Smart, and I know everything about you even though you are hiding under that mask. The stupidos in this arena probably want you to win because they are jealous of me and my knowledge about what happens in the world of wrestling. They will be disappointed. Making every chance count is what wrestling is all about. Tonight is my big chance, and I will not allow you to stop me!” VS After an initial onslaught by Mr. Execution that is cheered on by the crowd, Smarty comes back with a few basic flying moves. The match goes back and forth for a long time. Just as it looks like it will end in a time limit draw, Execution gains the upper hand and manages to make his opponent submit to an STF . Mr. Execution defeated Mark Smart in 9:59 by submission with a STF. Rating: E+ Reese Paige comes out and throws promotional T-Shirts to the crowd. Rating: D “The next match is another quarter final. Introducing first, from Fort Worth, Texas, weighing 220 pounds, Corporal Reckless!” A typical military march plays from the arena speakers. Reckless enters, followed by two kids. One of them is carrying the American flag, and the other one the Lone Star Flag. The crowd erupts in cheers, and Reckless stops to salute them before entering the ring. “And his opponent, weighing in at 185 pounds and hailing from Steamboat Springs, Colorado: Reeeeex Reeves!” To the sound of the Piledriver Paladins playing some generic rock music, Reeves comes to the ring without much of a crowd reaction. VS The match is rather one-sided, with Reckless dominating from start to finish. It is evident that these two work well together, as there is good flow throughout the match, and hardly any missed spots at all. Corporal Reckless defeated Rex Reeves in 6:38 by pinfall with a Slingshot DDT. Rating: E Marshall Williams comes to the ring and cuts a promo where he hypes himself as a local boy with great love for the sport and a strong sense of fair play. “And I can tell you all that my no-good opponent here tonight, Paul Steadyfast, is my exact opposite in that. He will do anything to pick up a win, and he would sell his own mother to the highest bidder!” Rating: D- “It is time for the last quarter final in our tournament. Introducing first, already in the ring, from Austin, Texas and weighing in at 218 pounds, Marshall Williams!” “…and his opponent is a veteran who has been a champion in several other states, and is known from national television since his years in TCW. At 245 pounds and hailing from Chicago, Illinois, here is Paul Steadyfast!” To a poorly performed cover of Metallica’s “2x4”, Paul Steadyfast enters. The crowd reaction is loud and divided between boos and cheers (probably because this is the only of tonight’s wrestlers anyone has heard of). VS Steadyfast charges Williams, and completely overpowers him. Spears, lariats and shouldertackles are followed up with stomps and knee drops. After a little more than three minutes of beating, enough is enough and Williams is finished off with a Slingshot Suplex. Paul Steadyfast defeated Marshall Williams in 3:42 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: E+ “Ladies and gentlemen, with no time to spare, we will head straight to the semi finals. In these matches, the time limit is set to 15 minutes. First, Mr. Execution will face Whisky Jack and then Corporal Reckless and Paul Steadyfast will fight for the second spot in our main event, where the Texas Heavyweight Champion will be determined.” VS Mr. Execution and Whisky Jack fight a very open match, where Execution’s technical skills match Jack’s size advantage and brutal brawling tactics. After several near falls from both sides, Execution manages to lock in an STF for the win. Mr. Execution defeated Whisky Jack in 10:54 by submission with a STF. Rating: E+ VS The strongest crowd reaction so far comes when Corporal Reckless and Paul Steadyfast lock up in the second semi final. Both men show ability as well as determination, and refuse to give the other one an easy win. Finally, Steadyfast is able to use some brass knuckles to punch Reckless in the face, drawing blood in the process. Referee Kenney does not seem to notice or mind, and Steadyfast puts Reckless away with his Slingshot Suplex finisher. Paul Steadyfast defeated Corporal Reckless in 12:52 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Rating: D- “Our next match is a Texas Tornado match for the vacant CWA Tag Team Titles. Introducing first, at a total combined weight of 320 pounds, Fearless Blue and Daredevil Aero – No Feeeeaar!” Aero and Blue rush to the ring to the sound of a speedy guitar solo. “And their opponents, at a total combined weight of 475 pounds, Crash Lewis and Leo “the Drifter” Davis – The Vagabonds!” Crash and Leo appear in old, soiled clothes with holes in them. They both look rather like they could use a good shave and shower. VS The match is unfortunately not very entertaining. The Vagabonds present some basic but solid wrestling while No Fear are spotty and trying to be flashy and spectacular, resulting in missed spots, botched moves and a complete lack of psychology. The audience is turned off by the lack of continuity presented, where lots of restholds come between spurts of high speed aerial moves. The match ends with Crash putting Blue away following a powerslam while Davis is keeping Aero in the opposite corner. The Vagabonds briefly celebrate their win until going backstage. Probably to trade the title belts for a hot meal… The Vagabonds defeated No Fear in 12:31 when Crash Lewis defeated Fearless Blue by pinfall. The Vagabonds win the CWA Tag Team titles. Lack of flow. Rating: F “Ladies and gentlemen, it is time for tonight’s Main Event! This is the time we have been waiting for all night long. Who will become the first ever CWA Texas Heavyweight Champion? Mr. Execution or Paul Steadyfast? Let’s find out!” VS The match is not spectacular in any way, but it is worthy of headlining the show. Both men display professionalism and good ability. It is uncertain until the end who is going to win, but after a well-fought match, Mr. Execution fails to avoid a DDT followed by a Slingshot Suplex for the three count. Paul Steadyfast defeated Mr. Execution in 20:47 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex. Paul Steadyfast wins the CWA Texas Heavyweight title. Rating: D- Having picked up the victory, Paul Steadyfast celebrates in the ring while the crowd boos. Rating: D Final Rating: E+ Thoughts: - Dale Kenney was not good enough as a referee. He will need to improve quickly or we need to find someone else. - Lee Bambino and Quincy Han**** work extremely well together, but Quincy doesn’t do a good work in better matches. - Our tag team division is right now only two teams, but we will need to make it stronger either by bringing in more talent or finding good duos among the current workers to have quality matches there. - Daredevil Aero and Mad Dog Mortimer have some legitimate heat between them. Obviously there was some sort of altercation at the motel they were staying at the night before the show.

Marshall Williams & Corporal Reckless vs The Vagabonds©

- CWA Tag Team titles -

At long last a tag team match that did not stink up the place completely! The team of Reckless and Williams really looked good out there, but the Vagabonds managed to win once again.

The Vagabonds defeated Corporal Reckless and Marshall Williams in 11:37 when Crash Lewis defeated Marshall Williams by pinfall. The Vagabonds make defence number 2 of their CWA Tag Team titles.

Rating: E-

Dale Kenney, Lee Bambino and Reese Paige appear in the ring for a rather lame and pointless comedy skit.

Mr. Execution vs Whisky Jack

- #1 Contender Match -

Another solid (Hey, this is the CWA, solid matches DO look like this here…) match from these two. It begins like an average match, but the wrestlers become more and more agitated, and when Dale Kenney decides to stop it, both men have been smacked multiple times by steel chairs. It seems like we do not have a #1 contender for the Texas Heavyweight Title for next months big show “Nobody’s Fool”.

Mr. Execution drew with Whisky Jack in 9:56 following a double disqualification.

No Fear vs Mark Smart & Rex Reeves

– Ladder match for title shot at Nobody’s Fool -

People backstage had high hopes for this match, but unfortunately it did not deliver and was only ok. Some nice spots, but nothing really special. On the other hand, it was only the second ever CWA tag team match that did not completely suck, so I guess we should be happy.

No Fear defeated Mark Smart and Rex Reeves in a 2 vs 2 Ladder match in 8:48 when Daredevil Aero retrieved the contract.

April 2008, Week 1, Monday

Reese Paige’s notes:

From the CWA:

You would think that having a rich owner like Quincy would make the CWA financially independent. Nothing could be more wrong. We lost $1,104 in January, $7 in February and $750 in March. And now that wealthy guy is refusing to make more funds available. He mumbled something about “proving to his father that he could build a profitable business from nothing too...”. It’s all madness if you ask me. After April, we will be in the red unless we can find more sponsors. Maybe Paul Steadyfast has to get the occasional night off. He is extremely well-paid compared to the rest of the roster.

From the wrestling world:

Bruce The Giant left the USPW in mid-March. I haven’t heard anything about where he is heading. Japan? SWF? We’ll have to wait and see.

Gossip from north of the border say that Trent Shaffer and Jenny Playmate are dating.

CWA Nobody’s Fool

Held in front of 64 people at the Round Rock Arena

“Welcome to the CWA and Nobody’s Fool! Tonight’s show is promising to be packed with action, as all of your favorite superstars will be giving you their all. The main event will see Corporal Reckless taking on the Texas Heavyweight Champion Paul Steadyfast, and we will also have No Fear challenging the Vagabonds for their Tag Team titles. But that is not all, we will have many other top matches for you tonight. No man will want to be the fool today!”

Mad Dog Mortimer vs Whisky Jack

- Hardcore Match –

A foghorn blares, and Mad Dog comes to the ring, waving to the fans with his trademark hockey stick. He keeps his helmet on as he waits for his opponent.

Whisky Jack soon enters, to the sound of “Whisky in the jar”.

As soon as both men are in the ring, the bell is rung to start the match. Mad Dog begins by trying to strike Jack with the hockey stick, but the veteran manages to dodge every swing, and with a well-timed move, he sends Mad Dog to the canvas with a shoulder tackle. He capitalizes on the early advantage, and stays on the offense for minutes. Mad Dog looks pretty weak out there until he suddenly head-butts Whisky Jack. The hockey helmet Mad Dog still is wearing busts Jack open, and dizzies him enough for Mad Dog to make a comeback.

The match eventually becomes a rather open affair, with both men taking their fair share of strikes with and without various weapons. The end comes when Whisky Jack is able to pull the helmet off Mad Dogs head and smack him in the face with it and then hit his Face First Suplex finisher for the 1-2-3.

Whisky Jack defeated Mad Dog Mortimer in 9:54 by pinfall with a Face First Suplex.

Rating: E

Whisky Jack stands up to celebrate while Mad Dog Mortimer is left down. Suddenly, he stops and looks at Mad Dog who is still out of it. Jack leaves the ring, but immediately returns with the hockey stick in his hands. He strikes his downed opponent several times with the stick, until the referee Dale Kenney figures it is enough, and gets in his way. Jack, his face a bloody mask, grins as he leaves.

Marshall Williams vs Mark Smart

“Rattlesnake Highway” by John Fogerty starts playing and Marshall Williams comes to the ring, looking extremely happy to have his own entrance music.

“Marshall Williams… or should I call you Benjamin? Unlike all the stupidos in this building tonight, I know everything about you, Benjamin Williams. I know you have all sorts of dreams about becoming a huge star some day. But I also know those are utopian ideas of yours. In fact the entire wrestling world is laughing at the thought of you as anything else than a stargazer, spending your career on your back looking up at the hundreds of stars that will always be out of your reach. I know this because I am Mark Smart, and unlike Benny-boy, I will be a star.”

Williams looks unimpressed by Smarty’s tirade. Cheered on by the fans, he hands out several lefts and rights before Smarty can fight back. The match is quite entertaining for being on this level, and it ends when Williams counters one of Smarty’s moves with a sunset flip and gets the pin.

Marshall Williams defeated Mark Smart in 7:53 by pinfall.

Next, The Vagabonds have an interview. They have their usual soiled, worn-out clothes and look in desperate need of a shower. They tell the crowd how unworthy opponents No Fear are. Leo Davis says that he finds unfair that a couple of rookies who have never seen the trials and hardships of life are given title shots “when some people do not even have a place to live”. The Vagabonds get no sympathy from the crowd. A couple of drunken Texans instead start a “Go home, bums!” chant, whatever that is supposed to mean.

No Fear vs The Vagabonds ©

- CWA Tag Team Titles -

A speedy guitar solo is heard as Blue and Aero rush to the ring, each climbing a turnbuckle and greeting the rather indifferent crowd from there. The Vagabonds charge, and chaos ensues until Dale Kenney manages to push Leo and Blue out of the ring to really start the match.

Much like their match at Baptism Under Fire, the teams fight an incoherent match. Chinlocks, sluggish punches and semi-botched aerial maneuvers are lined up in a long row (along with a few decent segments and spots, of course) until suddenly, out of nowhere, Fearless Blue wins it for his team with a Schoolboy Roll-up. After initially staring blankly in disbelief, The Vagabonds are completely devastated, almost sobbing as they quietly leave the ring. No Fear on the other hand celebrate like crazy, kissing the title belts and displaying them to the crowd from the top turnbuckles until they are more or less shoved out of the ring by Dale Kenney.

No Fear defeated The Vagabonds in 11:44 when Fearless Blue defeated Crash Lewis by pinfall with a fast roll up. No Fear win the CWA Tag Team titles.

Rating: F+

Corporal Reckless enters the ring to massive cheering (if 64 persons can massively cheer…) to hype his Texas Death match with Paul Steadyfast tonight. He says that he is proud to get this opportunity, and that he will make sure to do everything in his power to end the villainous Steadyfast’s reign tonight. He wants the CWA to have a champion that people all over Texas can be proud of. The crowd responds with cheers and a “Reckless!” chant.

Corporal Reckless vs Paul Steadyfast ©

- Texas Death Match for the CWA Texas Heavyweight Title -

The challenger is first to enter the ring. Marching to the ring, flanked by a boy carrying the Lone Star flag and a girl carrying the Stars and Stripes, Corporal Reckless receives the fans approval. He stops at the ring steps and salutes the crowd and the national flag before entering the ring. The cheers then quickly transform into aggressive booing when “2x4” begins to play and the Texas Heavyweight champion enters.

The match is without a doubt the best of the night. Both men have lots of offense, and each of them are pinned more than once, but they are always able to come back before the ten count. Oddly, throughout the match no weapons are used. Instead, the match ends when Steadyfast sets his Slingshot Suplex up by performing a DDT followed by a piledriver. Reckless is then counted out, but it is a very close call even after that treatment.

Paul Steadyfast defeated Corporal Reckless in 21:52 when Corporal Reckless was pinned with a Slingshot Suplex and could not beat a ten count. Paul Steadyfast makes defence number 3 of his CWA Texas Heavyweight title.

May 2008, Week 1, Monday

Reese Paige’s notes

From the CWA:

I have some great news! When we were taking the ring down after Nobody’s Fool, a local energy drink manufacturer approached Quincy, and guess what? They offered us a big sponsor contract! Since we got the first payment right there and then, we actually made a huge $10,000+ profit last month! This will probably mean that we can stop worrying about using Paul Steadyfast on every show, and we can even bring a few more wrestlers in.

Speaking of which, we are happy to announce the signing of three new persons, who will debut soon:

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/pistoljocke/JemmaGriffiths.jpg

Jemma Griffiths

Jemma is a talented manager and a beautiful woman who has been looking for work in her old home region for quite some time. We are very happy to have her in the CWA, and I am sure all our fans are too!

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/pistoljocke/AceYoungblood.jpg

Ace Youngblood

Ace is a young, promising fighter who I am sure will blend in perfectly with our current athletes. To date he is probably best known for his stint in 4C. I can promise you that you will see a lot of this youngster in the future!

http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh148/pistoljocke/MadmanBoone.jpg

Madman Boone

A former TCW International and Hardcore champion, I hardly think this man needs any further introduction. A rugged brawler and hardcore wrestler who will do anything to get what he – and the fans - wants.

Along with these, there may be some surprises coming in as well, so make sure to get your tickets for our live events!

From the wrestling world:

The very skilled and popular Japanese fighter Eisaku Hoshino left BHOTWG this month. I have no word on his future plans, but am sure he will show up somewhere soon.

I will be back with more news and thoughts in roughly a month,

Ace Youngblood vs Paul Steadyfast © – CWA Texas Heavyweight

Steadyfast is way more over and a better worker. Youngblood will probably do well but come up short.

Madman Boone vs Rex Reeves

Booke is by far the better more over worker and he'll face off against Steadydast soon.

No Fear © vs The Vagabonds – CWA Tag Team

I love these guys and they have way more potential to be future stars then THe Vagabonds.

Mr. Execution vs Whisky Jack

Tough choice but even though he's uncharismatic and bland I've always had a soft spot for Technique.

No Fear © vs The Vagabonds

CWA Tag Team Titles

Ugh! The teams totally stink up the arena in this one. The Vagabonds do it literally, and the teams together look weak. The bums are in control most of the match, but are not very convincing in their domination. Leo Davis is ready to finish Blue off when the latter trips him into a small package for the win.

No Fear defeated The Vagabonds in 8:35 when Fearless Blue defeated Leo Davis by pinfall with a fast roll up. No Fear make defence number 1 of their CWA Tag Team titles.

After the match, No Fear celebrate like crazy. Fearless Blue gets hold of a microphone: “Man, are we good or are we good!?” Hesitant cheers from the crowd. “Those two homeless bums are supposed to be the best tag team in the entire CWA, and we have beat them twice now! They have had their chances, and now it is time to get us some new challengers for these beauties!” He holds up his title belt, to some moderate cheering from the crowd.

“In fact, I am confident that we will beat any challengers, so if someone wants to step forward, let them do it now!” He drops the microphone and looks at the entrance.

For a few seconds, nothing happens. Then an unfamiliar woman steps through the drapes at the entrance, with a microphone in her hand.

Woman: “You do not know me, but I go by the name of Willow, and I want to tell you foolish boys that there still is time for you to withdraw your bold challenge. If you don’t, I will not be held responsible for what my boys will do to you.”

Blue: “Hey there, freaky lady, we fear nothing or no one! Don’t you know who we are? We are No Fear.”

Aero: “That’s right, gypsy woman, No Fear here!”

Willow, grinning slightly: “We were hoping you would say that. I want you to realize something though, the challengers this time are not the men of flesh and blood you normally would face. I have summoned them from a realm beyond the dark fears you claim not to possess.”

While talking, Willow has closed up on the ring, and started to circle it, diverting No Fear’s attention away from the entrance.

Aero: “I don’t care what you say. We will not be intimidated.”

Blue: “That’s right, Willow! At next month’s live event, we will beat your buddies. Human or not, your challenge is accepted!”

Willow laughs at the animated champions, and suddenly, two large figures in red capes hit the ring running, and attack the tag team champions from behind, mercilessly beating them down and throwing them out of the ring.

Willow then climbs into the ring, while the crowd is really waking up giving the trio lots of heat.

Willow: “Allow me to introduce to you the new challengers, Demon Anger and Demon Fury: The New Demons Of Rage!”

The capes are dropped, revealing the Demons.

June 2008, Week 1, Monday

Reese Paige’s notes

In the CWA:

Wow, this was probably the most eventful month so far, even though we did not have a big show but only a live event. We had a lot of new people debuting at the last show, and I would say it all went reasonably well. The only bothering thing is that Demon Anger did not care to stay until the show was over, as instructed, but rather packed his bags and left as soon as his segment was over. Quincy and myself had to call him and tell him why it is important to have a post-show meeting with everyone involved, and that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated in the future. I feel he understood this, and I do not think it will be a problem in the future.

The financial side went fine this month as well. Our profit was about $10,000 and things are looking good right now. We have started preparing for the next big show, which will be called Dust’n’Bones and held in July. Then we will probably have two more smaller live events before putting on a big battle royal of some sort this fall. I will give you more info on that once we decide what format it will be in.

Some fans seem certain that Madman Boone’s next match will be for the Texas Heavyweight Title. I can confirm that right now.

In fact, here is the entire line-up for our June live event:

Madman Boone vs Paul Steadyfast – CWA Texas Heavyweight

No Fear vs The New Demons Of Rage – CWA Tag Team

Mad Dog Mortimer & Marshall Williams vs The Vagabonds

Ace Youngblood vs Whisky Jack

From the wrestling world:

The biggest news this month were without a doubt that 19-year old Seiji Jimbo inherited Pride Glory Honor Wrestling from his uncle, who left the business. He immediately appointed Yosuke Narita (aka Awesome Thunder) head booker and their first signing was legendary wrestler Dick the Devastator, who will work as a road agent for the company. It will be interesting to follow what the future of the company will be.

More Japanese news: Raku Makuda of 5SSW has suffered a shattered elbow, and could be out for 13 months. She is young though, and should be able to bounce back from this injury. 5SSW need to crown new tag team champions though, as Raku was holding the titles with Megumi Nakajima when she was injured.

Burning Hammers Senasational Dragon is out 12 months with shattered knee. He did not hold any titles at the time of his injury, but is an important piece of BHOTWG’s roster, so I bet they are anxious for him to return.

I'll be back with more notes, news and gossip in about 4 weeks,

Reese Paige

Madman Boone vs Paul Steadyfast ©

- CWA Texas Heavyweight Title -

The newest #1 contender looks very strong out there, matching the champion’s performance in every way. These two provide a more entertaining match than you might have suspected, and the crowd really seems to like it. There are several near-falls for each competitor, and the control of the match sways back and forth over time. After about twenty minutes, Madman Boone is completely in control of the match, and is setting up his “Boone and Bust”-finisher when Steadyfast, in a move of desperation, strikes Boone with an obvious low blow. Dale Kenney is far from pleased with that move, but allows the match to go on. Someone else who is not pleased with the events taking place is Whisky Jack, who comes rushing from the back, wielding a steel chair. Before Kenney can stop him, he enters the ring, raises the chair and lands a heavy blow on – Paul Steadyfast! Kenney immediately calls for the bell and goes to check on the champion, who slowly rises to his feet, shaking the cobwebs off. He is then given his title belt and gets his hand raised in the air. Madman Boone is looking on in disbelief, his focus alternating between Paul Steadyfast, Dale Kenney and Whisky Jack.
