They had been struggling to compete with the Jeff Nova led 21st Century Wrestling but I knew that there was a market for no thrills pure wrestling where fans would appreciate the artistry of professional wrestling. I'd been competing all over Japan but teaming up with British Samurai on a tour with one of the smaller touring promotions would have a huge effect as we formed a formidable tag team together, with our styles mixing together extremely well. So when Rob came calling, I couldn't refuse as we share a common goal in bringing the true art of wrestling to the masses. Many experts consider him the most naturally talented worker of his generation which is hard to dispute. Matravers started his career in Ring Of Fire, teaming up with Petey Barnes to form an exciting, high flying duo going by the name of The Show Stealers who would win two ROF Tag Championships together. This is quite good. The format is great, and while the results are quite short, they sort of do RoF justice in a way. Still, it's got a good pace, and the short format will help with burnout, so I hope this one stretches out for a while. Good luck. I'll do my best to stay on top of this one.

Good start - am hoping you keep this one going, because I'm interested to see your take on ROF longer term. Just out of interest - have you got workers available in all areas or have the guys on the roster who aren't normally UK workers become available over time through being inactive elsewhere or are they on talent trade?

I plan to keep this going for a while as I want to see how far I can take ROF :). I've got all areas active, playing on freestyle and British Samurai is still owner but am trying to avoid becoming a carnival of nationalities :p. I do have working agreements with TCW and PGHW though so plan to use them at some point.

One man who spotted Stones quality was Jeff Nova, who after acquiring 21CW quickly made a move to bring him in as someone that could bring the best out of anyone he was put in a match with. Johnny Stones gained the nickname "Rolling" because of his ability to string together a sequence of different suplexes in a row during a match. Stones got his reward for putting in great performances week after week as he became 21st Century United Kingdom champion by defeating Leo Price in November 2009. Stones would hold on to the title until April 2010 when he helped elevate Nightmare to become a credible threat in 21CW. Stones would finally climb to the top of the mountain but not in 21CW as many thought would happen first but in ROF instead. He defeated Merle O'Curle for the Ring Of Fire Championship in a match that is possibly the greatest match ever seen in a Ring Of Fire ring as both men took each other to their limits but a series of suplexes followed by the Brainbuster saw Stones win the title.
