<p>I should point out that I'm not advocating sacking Harry Redknapp by any means. Now he's here, he has to be given the chance to prove himself as more than the wide boy chancer he's come across as everywhere else <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/rolleyes.png.4b097f4fbbe99ce5bcd5efbc1b773ed6.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />. I don't like him, but he's the manager for better or worse.</p><p> </p><p>

It's just that, based on Spurs' past performance in this area, I'll be surprised if he's given the time to show he can exceed the generally low expectations all Spurs fans have of him. Suffice to say, Wednesday night did nothing to suggest it - and given his complaining and moaning about the squad (not entirely unreasonable, it's badly unbalanced) and his approach to Saturday's game (annoying) I can't exactly say that he's winning me over at all.</p>

He looks scary at least. Completely bald head (think Paul Konkesky)

Not a bad player to be fair, not seen much of him, but he will put some steel in your midfield. Doubt that he's that technically gifted but will work his socks off.

ah, so good deal then, Mr. Still. I hope he gives the mid's a run for their money and pushes them over the hump.

I do, however, feel somewhat obligated to think the daggers won't be as good next year, as Matt Ritchie leaves us in 3 months, right at the beginning of the new season

has anyone seen a guy by the name of Thurgood play? He was part of Gray's Athletic. I was wondering if he is a good player, as my Dagenham and Redbridge daggers just signed him.

Oh cool, a Daggers fan. I'm an Essex lad (but support the big team in Essex, Southend... :p) so I've seen Daggers a couple of times as a mate of mine used to live next to the ground.

He played at Southend and he was okay, although quite young. I thought he showed potential but he was released. Pretty much what has already been said- he works hard and battles away but technically not great.

He eventually signed for Gillingham and we were of course giving him a bit of abuse at the away game and after he got sent off for a sickening tackle on the legend that is Kevin Maher he walked off the pitch but kissed the badge on his way even though he had only just signed there, just to p*ss us off, so he's a feisty one.

I do love the feistiness of the UK'ers. it is something that we in the united states are missing

Wow a Southend fan! Thought they had all died out :p

We may be really close to each other then mate, I'm in Eastwood, probably about 10 -15 min drive to the ground.

No, I decided to go back to university for a different degree so I'm in Guildford. I'm from Brentwood originally though, how about you? Feel free to PM if you don't want to put it on here!

I know there's only 3 of us, but I'm shocked there's that many, I always assumed I was on my own! Haha.

Ha, all the cool kids are from Essex!

 Since when? I spent about 12 years of my life there!

Been here as long as I can remember really. We lived in Westcliff for a bit when I was small. Moved to Eastwood when I was probably about 6. Been here ever since with breaks when I was at Plymouth for 4 years (Uni) and 3 months I spent in York Road (yes that York road!) in Southend. Looks like I may be moving to Wickford soonish as i'm buying my first house. Still Essex till I die though :D

Im 27 now btw, dunno how that matches up with you. But I will be stunned into amazement if we actually know each other!

I would've been born when you were 11, so I doubt we know each other, but hey! Still an odd experience to think you've walked the same streets as me (or vice versa) at any one time.
