CZCW: Anatomy Of A Tidal Wave

Enjoyed the first show, especially the backstage stuff!

Eric Anderson vs. Snap Dragon

Eric begins paying his dues

Frankie Perez & Remmy Skye © vs. Fox Mask & Mikey James - Lucha Libre match for the Coastal Zone Tag Team

The Champs retain.

James Prudence vs. Matt Sparrow

SWF has probably come a-calling for James Prudence already so the wise thing would be to job him out.

Ultimate Phoenix © vs. Insane Machine - Coastal Zone Championship

First title defense is almost always a victory...except for Kane IRL.

I agree with these predictions. I guess we'll figure out if you've made agreements with TCW and SWF.

Backstage with Snap Dragon

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Snap.jpg

"Okay, let's go through the script once more?", Snap said. We went through the plan for our match as it was partly scripted just between us. The match was scheduled to be a little under 10 minutes so there wasn't that much into it anyways.. And Snap would still be guiding me in the match as he was the veteran and had a decade more experience than I did. We had to make him look strong since I was just an enhancement talent and thus we decided that I would take the beating right from the start but Snap wouldn't pin me, instead lifting my shoulders up again and again in a c o c k y manner, toying with me, until I would make a comeback and hit the Spinning Wheel kick and a DDT to him and then head up for the turnbuckle, trying to hit my finishing move the Sky Twister Press which Snap would avoid by rolling away just in time and then he would finish me with his Dragon's Breath. Pretty simple yet complicated since I was so exited and nervous that I was about to puke.

Snap looked straight into my eyes and said that "It's all good, you're going to do just fine, trust me" and just as he had said that, I heard my Dad announcing my name at the announcing table. Snap pushed me through the curtains, I must have looked like a lost fool for a moment until I made my way to the ring. As I went across the ropes, my Dad winked at me by the announcing table and I smiled back at him. No one could see how nervous I really was.. I posed in the ring and heard just a really small pop, maybe thirty people clapping out of the six hundred. Then came Snap and I almost forgot that I was the babyface and he was the heel as I smiled at him for a moment. That smile was quickly wiped off as Snap knocked me over with an enziguri.

Match #1: Eric Anderson vs. Snap Dragon

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Eric.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Snap.jpg

.. And boy did it hurt. I was a bit daized on the canvas until Snap hit a legdrop. I didn't even sell the first two moves properly and Snap noticed it as he lifted me up and slapped me hard across my face as a wake-up call. I hit a dropkick and then whipped him into the ropes, he knocked me down again with a lariat and locked me into a chinlock. Snap whispered me some instructions for the next few moves, and it went perfectly as I rose up and tried to ran to the ropes but Snap pulled me down by the hair which got some boos (Finally some reaction!), Snap hit couple elbow drops and whipped me into the corner where he hit a corner front dropkick. I sold that one really good as I fell to the ground holding my chest but I didn't get any time to rest since Snap lifted me up, hit a brainbuster and covered me. Pee Wee counted but just before the three count Snap lifted my shoulders up.

Everything didn't went as planned as we had few miscommunications in the match where we hit each other in mid-air as we both were going for a flying body press and after that I missed few cues from Snap. In the end when I had made my big comeback and hit the wheelkick and the DDT, I almost botched my Sky Twister Press, a move that I had done hundreds of times before. I guess it was the exitement that kicked in and distracted me.. Seeing few hundred people cheering for you as you make your way up to the turnbuckle.. It felt awesome. I landed quite hard on the mat with my left hand under me but I was okay. Snap leaped up on the turnbuckle and came crashing down with the Dragon's Breath and covered me 1-2-3 and so my first official match as a pro was over in just eight minutes. As he was on top of me he whispered "Well done kid", but I didn't feel like it. Even though we had trained a lot together, we didn't click. It was my fault, I missed a lot of cues from Dragon.. I felt so embarrased.

Winner: Snap Dragon (E+)

James Prudence came down to the ring and started taunting Ultimate Phoenix, claiming that what happened at Revolution was just a fluke win from Phoenix and that he wants a rematch. Prudence goes on and on before eventually getting interrupted by Ultimate Phoenix who comes out to the ramp, informing Prudence that he already has championship match against Insane Machine tonight and that Prudence himself will face Matt Sparrow in that very ring. Phoenix adds that he has talked with Cliff Anderson who had told him that Prudence doesn't have a rematch clause in his contract: No one does here in CZCW. Prudence threws a tantrum and promises Phoenix that he will get his title show one way or other. (C-)

Match #2: Frankie Perez & Remmy Skye © vs. Fox Mask & Mikey James - Lucha Libre match for the Coastal Zone Tag Team

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Frankie.jpg & http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Remmy.jpg

vs.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Fox.jpg & http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Mikey.jpg

Remmy was really off his game (as usual) but the guys tried to carry the match the best they could and it went pretty well in the end. Fox and Mikey defeated Frankie and Remmy by DQ in total time of 17:26 by two falls to one after losing the first when Skye hit the Skye Diver on Fox, the second one happened when Fox hit the Fox Hunter on Remmy and the final fall happening when the tag team champions were disqualified when they double suplexed Mikey trough a table as a way to end the match. The tag champs retained because of the DQ ending.

Winners: Fox Mask & Mikey James (D)

Match #3: James Prudence vs. Matt Sparrow

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/James.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Matt.jpg

In a good match Prudence met Sparrow, in a match where Prudence wasn't all that concentrated as his mind was still on Phoenix and on the Coastal Zone championship. During the match Prudence shouted at Pee-Wee, our referee, multiple times for the "slow counts" that he made when Prudence got Sparrow covered. The match went on for twenty minutes with neither man getting the advantage over the other when finally Prudence hit the Surf's Up (Glittering Magician Knee) right to the face of Sparrow but got just another two count out of the Bird Man. Prudence started pulling his own hair in disbelief as he got up and started mocking Pee-Wee once again. Prudence had his back turned on Sparrow who used the opportunity as he rolled Prudence into a fast backslide and got the surprise pinfall over the ex-champion!

Winner: Matt Sparrow (D+)

Match #4: Ultimate Phoenix © vs. Insane Machine - Coastal Zone Championship

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Insane.jpg

In our fantastic main event Ultimate Phoenix made his first defence of his new Coastal Zone championship title against Insane Machine. The two high flyers had an awesome match which featured a lot of innovative spots like Phoenix doing a baseball slide hurricanrana on Machine who returned the favour shortly afterwards as he did a spectacular Insanity Tsunami (450 Splash) but got only a two count. Just as Machine was waiting for Phoenix to get up so that he could hit the Termination Kick, James Prudence stormed the ring and attacked Phoenix, leveling him down and out with a sickening chairshot. Pee-Wee signed for the timekeeper to end the match as Insane Machine got DQ'd and thus Phoenix retains the belt. Prudence couldn't care less as he started talking trash to the unconscious Phoenix but was quickly taken out by a frustrated Insane Machine who hit a picture perfect Termination Kick (Super kick to the back of the neck) to Prudence as he had just lost the match because of him.

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix (C)

Overall Grade: C-

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Jakki.jpghttp://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Farrah.jpg

After the show as we had a small celebration of my debut, we heard some noise coming from the women's locker room. It turned out that it was about Jakki and Farrah fighting over some rumours that Jakki had spread of Farrah. Dad tried to talk some sense into the ladies but I'm not sure if they understood him.. Or he understood the ladies in the matter. Just like Ian and Chris had a little fight at Revolution, in the very next show we had a catfight involving these two. I wonder who's going to be next?

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Dragon.JPG

On another news, I heard that we had signed Dragon Del Acro Iris Jr., he seems to be a great prospect for the future. I looked for some information about him and found this, it's straight from some website: "He is a second generation luchador, the youngest son of the original. His father first made the colourful mask popular in the 1960s and 1970s, working primarily for OLLIE. He would later go on to have a fairly successful time with MPWF, and was always a very popular draw in his home of Mexico City. Now Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr is determined to put the famous mask back on the lucha libre map, and to do what his father couldn't and win a world championship. He took the first step toward that goal in 2007, when he headed to Puerto Rico's FCW promotion to improve his skills and gain some valuable experience."

:pFlying Jimmy Fox © vs. Al Coleman - Coastal Zone Xtreme

I'm guessing you're giving Flying Jim a routine defence before he loses the belt to someone more deserving.

Snap Dragon vs. Dragon Del Acro Iris Jr.

Battle of the Dragon's !! Snap's bigger and more experienced though, so he goes over in this one.

Main show:

Frankie Perez vs. Masked Cougar

I like Masked Cougar but he's more dependable mid-carder than main event material, where as Perez is someone you really should be pushing to the top of the card.

Marc Speed vs. Fox Mask

Fox Mask is Mr CZCW and should always be kept relatively strong, even if he's not right in the main event mix.

Matt Sparrow & Donnie J vs. Plaque & Remmy Skye

It's Plague not Plaque :p Anyway his team are the more talented duo, so I'll take them over Sparrow and Donnie.

Ultimate Phoenix © vs. James Prudence - Coastal Zone Championship

Everything points towards Prudence being on his way out of the Zone. He lose the title, suffers a shock loss to the rather average Matt Sparrow and then loses this re-match before heading off to SWF to fight over their relatively worthless Shooting Star Title or become a jobber.

Now that one is a really interesting typo. I had made it several times during this diary already, I wonder how I had always changed the g to q when I wrote something new into the reports. Thank you for the correction!

I guess we'll figure out if you've made agreements with TCW and SWF.

I never do working relationships or non-agression pacts with bigger companies such as TCW or SWF. They always seem so fake. And on another note, I won't be signing all the best talent there is, I'll only sign to fill the void and to prepare for a size transition. And even: further if I'd had the chance I'll prefer someone who's not that good compared to the best talent there are available. So you won't see Hell Monkey, Mario Heroic, Jacob Jett, Darryl Devine and such in my CZCW.

Same here. I can see adding a loyalty or blood relative note to someone based on your back story, but dealing with TCW and SWF in that matter doesn't make much sense as it's almost cheating.

Plus it works for me since I tend to grab workers I like whether or not I can use them, so the purge of my roster via TCW and SWF helps guard about a bloated roster.

Yeah, you wont see Devine as he'll be enjoying his SWF contract.

But Hell Monkey - despite the fact you know that he'll get a written deal in Japan sometime, he is ex-CZCW, which I think makes him fair game to return.

CZCW: A Is For Action!!

Saturday, Week 2, January

The Snake Pit, South West. Attendance: 630

Pre-show:

Match #1: Flying Jimmy Fox © vs. Al Coleman - Coastal Zone Xtreme

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Flying.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Al.jpg

In his first Xtreme title defence of the year, Flying Jimmy Foxx defeated Al Coleman in 8:44 by pinfall with the Flying Foxx (Frog Splash). Foxx landed really hard on Al but he was okay but clearly not happy of how rough Foxx was in the match. Flying Jimmy Foxx makes defence number 1 of his Coastal Zone Xtreme title in a solid opener.

Winner: Flying Jimmy Foxx (D)

Match #2: Snap Dragon vs. Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Snap.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Dragon.jpg

Snap Dragon defeated the debuting Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr in 8:31 by pinfall with the Dragon's Breath. Arco Iris debuted with Happy-Go-Lucky gimmick and received a good feedback from the crowd (Gimmick rating: A, Momemtum: D-)

Winner: Snap Dragon (D)

Main show:

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/James.jpghttp://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg

James Prudence comes down to the ring once again. He takes a microphone and starts talking but gets immediatly interupted by Ultimate Phoenix who isn't happy how the championship match between him and Insane Machine ended. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before things take a violent turn and they start brawling. A whole host of staff hit the ring to break them up, and as they are being pulled apart. Finally Phoenix grabs the mic and tells Prudence that he will get his title shot right here tonight, but only if he puts his career in the CZCW on the line, Prudence agrees without hesitation. I already knew what was going to happen and I think the fans did aswell. There had been rumours that Prudence had signed a deal with the almighty SWF. It wasn't a secret that he was going to be jobbed on his way out of the company. (C-)

*

Match #3: Frankie Perez vs. Masked Cougar

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Frankie.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Masked.jpg

In a really fast paced match Perez met Cougar. The finish came around the ten minute mark when Cougar missed his High Rise Cougar Pounce (Springboard Frog Splash from the ring apron onto an opponent lying in the ring) and Perez used the opportunity to lock Cougar into the P-Clutch, shortly after Cougar had no choice but to tap out since he was right in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Frankie Perez (D)

*

Match #4: Marc Speed vs. Fox Mask

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Marc.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Fox.jpg

In another good match Marc Speed showed the CZCW fans just what he has in store for the year 2008. Speed had a really good match against Fox Mask who was in the verge of losing the match and giving Speed the upset victory of the year thus far. Whether the MMA-bad-ass had Fox in a Cross Armbreaker or in the Deadly Heel Hook, he was just moments away from winning but sadly for him Fox always got to the ropes. Eventually Speed lost his focus as he was unable to finish Fox and paid for it as Fox Mask defeated Marc Speed in 12:45 by pinfall after a quick Fox Hunter out of nowhere.

Winner: Fox Mask (D+)

*

Match #5: Matt Sparrow & Donnie J vs. Plague & Remmy Skye

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Matt.jpg & http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Donnie.jpg

vs.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Plague.jpg & http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Remmy.jpg

The tag match of the night featured the Teen Idol and Fun babyface taking on the Mysterious and Weirdo. The latter had some major problems (absolutely zero chemistry!) with each other since they unintentionally hit one another multiple times during the match and not only that, they had some disagreements about who should be in the ring and thus they blind tagged each other from time to time. Finally they were on the same page during the last minutes when Skye took Sparrow out with Sparrow's own finishing move, the Bird Brain Buster and as the ref's head was turned Plague hit a low blow to Donnie J (Who sadly was really off his game tonight) and got the pinfall in 13.10, using the ropes as a leverage.

Winner: Plague & Remmy Skye (D-)

*

Match #6: Ultimate Phoenix © vs. James Prudence - Coastal Zone Championship

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/James.jpg

Our main event of the night saw Phoenix and Prudence fighting for the Coastal Zone Championship once again. The match wasn't as good as the first one but still featured a lot of action all around the ring and ringside. Whether they used the apron or turnbuckles, both men were as innovative as ever. The match had went on for about 25 minutes when Prudence pushed Phoenix right into the referee Pee-Wee who got knocked down. Prudence used the opportunity and kicked Phoenix in to the groin area. Prudence left the ring and brought a chair with him as he came back but just as he was about to hit Phoenix, Insane Machine stormed the ring and hit a stiff Termination Kick right into the back of Prudence's head, laying him down and out, whispering "Payback's a bitch". Phoenix quickly capitalised the moment as he leaped up to the turnbuckle and hit his spectacular Phoenix Firebird Splash to Prudence just as Pee-Wee was waking up and thus could make the three count. As the hand came down for the third time, the match was over and so was Prudence's career in CZCW as Ultimate Phoenix retained and made his defence number 2 of his Coastal Zone Championship title.

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix (D+)

Overall Grade: D

After the show Prudence thanked my Dad for the great years and especially last year when he sky-rocketed into stardom following his heel turn on Donnie in 2006 and winning the Coastal Zone Championship in July of 2007. He had developed a friendship with Frankie earlier this year but it couldn't be compared to the one he had with Rita.. I wonder how they are going to keep on dating with SWF's tight schedule: TV, PPV, House shows.. It's going to take a huge toll on the relationship, I'm sure of it. Some of the guys were really happy for James and some were jealous, like Ian for example.. Of course he was. Ian was already 33, James is 28.. And now he's signed with SWF while Plague was still in CZCW. Nothing wrong with that of course but given the attitude of Ian, I knew he was becoming really frustrated. They were going to have a departure party for James. I wasn't going but I wished him all the best. I never had the chance to know him that well in the end.

I wondered what it would be like.. To perform in front of tens of thousands of people. I can dream can I?

Wednesday, Week 3, January

I got a call from Jimmy.. He and Al had a big fight at the Prudence's party. I guess it was from the hard "Flying Foxx" Al received but it may have had to do with Jimmy being the Xtreme champion and some other things from the past aswell. Another bad relationship in our locker room, sigh. I can't wait for next Saturday to see who's next.

(Flying Jimmy Fox and Al Coleman have developed a strong dislike towards each other)

I also heard that because of the things involving James Prudence and the Coastal Zone Championshi title picture and how Insane Machine was screwed over the title by him, Rita Charles had announced that Ultimate Phoenix will defend his title against Insane Machine at "CZCW Vendetta" on February. Later this week on Saturday there will be two #1 Contenders matches where the winners of these two matches will meet on Week 4 edition of "A Is For Action!!", the winner of that match will face the Coastal Zone Champion at Uprising on March, whether it's Ultimate Phoenix or Insane Machine.

Flying Jimmy Fox © vs. Jeremiah Moose - Coastal Zone Xtreme

Is this the Coastal Zone, pre-show title or something ? Anyway perennial jobber Moose isn't the man to end Flying Jimbo's reign with the belt.

Al Coleman & Marc Speed vs. Eric Anderson & Dragon Del Arco Iris Jr.

More established, more experienced.

Main show:

Donnie J vs. Matt Sparrow vs. Remmy Skye vs. Mikey James - #1 Contenders Match #1

Donnie J- been there done that, Sparrow- Don't rate the guy all that highly to be honest (though alot has to do with his mediocre stamina), Mikey James- Not quite ready to step up yet...so that's leaves Skye.

Ultimate Phoenix vs. ??? - Non-title Match

Whoever ??? is they're here to do a J.O.B.

Fox Mask vs. Frankie Perez vs. Insane Machine vs. Plaque - #1 Contenders Match #2

The submission specialists put us two young fan favourites in big trouble as Coleman and Speed defeated me and Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr in 4:57 when Speed defeated Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr by submission with the Cross Armbreaker in a short match but intense match.

Winners: Coleman & Speed (E+)

vs.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Remmy.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Mikey.jpg

In a solid match after a huge go-home sequence where everyone hit their finishing move on others Matt Sparrow rose above others as he defeated Donnie, Remmy and Mikey in 12:33 when Sparrow hit the Bird Brain Buster on Mikey after he had pushed Remmy off the top rope who landed on Donnie on the outside. A solid effort from the guys but rather disappointing match to be honest, Donnie and Remmy were really off their game again, they seem to have lost their focus at the moment. Matt Sparrow advances in the #1 Contenders series and will face the winner of our main event next week on "A Is For Action."

Winner: Matt Sparrow (D)

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Snap.jpg

And sure enough Snap Dragon comes out and the two put on a good match, as I expected. In this non-title 2/3 Falls match Phoenix defeated Dragon in 14:17 by two straight falls, with the final fall happening by pinfall with the spectacular Phoenix Firebird Splash.

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix (D+)

vs.

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Insane.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Plague.jpg

In a much longer and better #1 Contenders match we saw four great wrestlers trying to qualify for the next weeks final against Matt Sparrow. In the end, after 30 minutes it was none other than Plague who stole the victory from Fox Mask. Fox had just delivered the Fox Hunter on Perez when Plague pushed Fox out of the ring and pinned Perez without doing the final move on him. Insane Machine was just a split second away from interrupting the count but unfortunately was too late. Plague defeated Perez, Insane Machine and Fox in total time of 33:09 when he pinned Perez. Plague advances to the finals where he meets Matt Sparrow for the #1 Contenderspot where the winner will receive a title match against Ultimate Phoenix/Insane Machine at CZCW Vendetta.

Winner: Plague (D+)

CZCW and MPWF have come in terms of a talent trade. Dad traded Plague for Ángel De México, for three appearances. I heard that he will debut here next week, it's nice to get some new talent here, across the borders.I also heard that I would face Al (Coleman) next week, while Jimmy and Snap are having a tag team match against each other!! To be honest I didn't want to have a match with Al, he was pretty harsh on me tonight in our tag match. Or I just wasn't used to be hit like that.. No, that can't be it. I believe that he put more power behind his strikes than usual, just because I'm the golden boy here. The new kid on the block, someone he needed to teach a lesson.

.. Can't wait for next week, sigh..

Al Coleman vs. Eric Anderson

Your user character does the job yet again

Masked Cougar & Flying Jimmy Foxx vs. Jeremiah Moose & Snap Dragon

I'd just give the edge to this team.

Main show:

Donnie J, Mikey James & Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. Insane Machine, Frankie Perez & Marc Speed

Could go either way, so I'll go the opposite to Foolinc

Ángel De México & Fox Mask vs. Rich And Famous (Jackpot Jordan & Jake Idol)

It'll be waste of Angels talent if he came in and jobbed to Rich and Famous

Matt Sparrow vs. Plague - Lucha Libre Match for the #1 Contenderspot

Both a preferential choice as I feel Plague is much better than Sparrow and a more logical one as it will pit a heel against the face champion.

Ultimate Phoenix vs. ??? - Non-title

Chalk up another win for Phoenix

Really liking this diary. You seem to have a pretty good grasp of the feel that CZCW should have (in my mind anyway). Loving the multi-man tags. Keep up the good work.

Also, I have no idea how you can manage to do two diaries at once. Quite the display of passion there.

CZCW: A Is For Action

Week 4, Saturday, January

Pre-show:

Al Coleman vs. Eric Anderson

I kinda like Coleman, for no specific reason other than I pushed him back in TEW 04 and he did pretty well... never did well at any point after that, but he still has a special place in my heart. :)

Masked Cougar & Flying Jimmy Foxx vs. Jeremiah Moose & Snap Dragon

Big Snap Dragon fan over here!

Main show:

Donnie J, Mikey James & Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr vs. Insane Machine, Frankie Perez & Marc Speed

Really no way to predict so I just picked the same as Tigerkinney... He seems to know this stuff.:p

Ángel De México & Fox Mask vs. Rich And Famous (Jackpot Jordan & Jake Idol)

These two teams are not in the same league.

Matt Sparrow vs. Plague - Lucha Libre Match for the #1 Contenderspot

Plague just somehow belongs more in the title picture.

Ultimate Phoenix vs. ??? - Non-title

Setting up another new challenger or a force to be reckoned with somehow, maybe.

"What?"

"You've gotta be kidding me .. I mean.. Yes.. but no.."

"What's wrong?", my Dad asked me. I had just heard something really unexpected. "Is this for real? I'm booked to go over Al in our match? .. My first win in my career?". Like I wasn't nervous already for going against Al, now I was going to .. go over him?

"Yes. It has been decided and it's going to happen. You should be lacing up your boots son, 'cause your match is next. Hurry up! And congratulations!!", Dad tapped my shoulders and smiled.

I couldn't believe it. It didn't feel right, I felt like I didn't deserve it. I hadn't payed my dues!! I knew this had something to do with the fight between Al and Jimmy at Prudences party. It all made sense when I thought about it: I'm friends with Jimmy and the owner's son, so it was kind of logical for Al to be jobbed to me as a punishment. If you view this thing that ruthlessly, it made sense. But I didn't like it, not one bit. Oh yeah, the boots..

.. I'm in deep ****.

Al Coleman vs. Eric Anderson

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Al.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Eric.jpg

Like I said, I felt so nervous. I hated the fact that I was going to be put over Al and by that I don't mean that I hate winning, I just hate the aftermatch that this is going to cause between me and Al as we all know he's a bit of an ass. As we had booked it, I defeated Al in a really short match (4:31) by pinfall with my Sky Twister Press. In the best match of my career this far, I was the winner.. Yet I didn't feel like it.

Winner: Me, Eric Anderson (D-)

I don't know how it's possible but I think that Al and I had a better match than these four guys. In another short match Cougar and Foxx defeated Moose and Dragon in 4:43 when Cougar defeated Moose by pinfall with the "I am Cougar, Hear Me Roar". It's a quite hard move to execute but Cougar does it with such a grace and style that it's amazing to watch. What he does is that he lifts the opponent onto the second turnbuckle, grabs their head, and takes them down with a leaping Face Crusher.

Winners: Masked Cougar & Flying Jimmy Foxx (E+)

Frankie Perez had an interview hyping his team of Insane Machine and Marc Speed taking on Donnie J, Mikey James and Dragón Jr in a tag match tonight. Perez hyped the three bad guys as being the top three most technically gifted athletes in the whole CZCW roster, adding that is doesn't matter if he himself makes someone tap out with the P-Clutch, or Speed breaks someones arm with the Cross Armlock, or Insane Machine kicks someones head in with the Termination Kick, they are going to win the match. In a solid ten minute match Speed and Dragon Del Arco got some experience as they teamed up with the more popular and more experienced wrestlers such as Donnie and Insane Machine. Everyone put on a good effort with the more experienced guys providing the pace and keeping the match together while Frankie and Dragon hit some awesome spots, especially Dragon who provided the most flashy aerial attacks, such as a standing moonsault and a Super Rana to Mikey. That just wasn't enough as the bad guys won in 9.51 when Insane Machine defeated Dragón Del Arco Iris Jr by pinfall with the Termination Kick.

Winners: Insane Machine, Frankie Perez & Marc Speed (D)

Remmy Skye comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and starts talking to the crowd, telling just how cool he is, comparing to all the fat, ugly people in the crowd. Eventually Remmy gets getting interupted by Ultimate Phoenix, who doesn't agree with what Remmy just said. Remmy points out that Ultimate Phoenix is hiding himself behind his mask, just to cover his ugly face. They have a big argument, going back and forth on the microphone, before agreeing to face each other later on in a singles match. Remmy hinted a Mask vs. Hair stipulation, Phoenix rejected the idea. Matt Sparrow vs. Plague - Lucha Libre Match for the #1 Contenders for the Coastal Zone Championship

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Matt.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Plague.jpg

The final match of the series saw two veterans going all out to get a titleshot against Ultimate Phoenix / Insane Machine at Uprising event in March. The match started with some mat wrestling before ascending to the top rope and from there to the outside of the ring. First fall happened after a huge spot where Plague dived from the ring onto Sparrow who was waiting outside, Sparrow caught Plague in mid-air and hit a really fast, low angle Bird Brain Buster on Plague, using the masked man's own momentum to inflict even more damage. Sparrow rolled Plague into the ring and got an easy pinfall out of Plague who was really shaken up because of the impact of the move.

Sparrow locked Plague into a Texas Cloverleaf submission move but Plague got to the ropes and after that seemed to shift the gears up as he took the second pinfall when he pinned Sparrow clean with a springboard hurricanrana. The match continued even and just as they were approaching the twenty minute mark, Plague reversed the Bird Brain Buster into a DDT and quickly jumped up to the turnbuckle and hit the New Jersey Turnpike on Sparrow, getting the final pinfall in exactly 20.00. Plague will meet the Coastal Zone champion at Uprising event, whether it's Ultimate Phoenix or Insane Machine.

Winner: Plague (D+)

Ultimate Phoenix vs Remmy Skye - Non-title

http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Phoenix.jpg vs. http://koti.mbnet.fi/sadhappy/CZCW/Remmy.jpg

Our main event was surprisingly even better than the Finals for the #1 contendership as Remmy surprised everyone as he got trough a long match where he didn't botch a single one. After ten minutes the fans actually started cheering Remmy because of this which resulted in a huge chant in the crowd which lasted for several minutes, as the fans cheered for both competitors. As Skye didn't botch any moves, the pace stayed the same troughout the match and as a result the match flowed beautifully. The last five minutes were full of insane spots from both wrestlers, whether they were on the top rope, turnbuckle or in the apron. The finish came in after fifteen minutes when Skye missed his Skye Driver and Phoenix hit his Phoenix Firebird Splash to get the pinfall in 16.32 in one of our best matches of the year thus far with only Phoenix vs. Insane Machine coming close to it.

Winner: Ultimate Phoenix (C)

Overall Grade: D+

After the highly risky Lucha Libre match between Matt Sparrow and Plague, CZCW has issued a statement that any match contested under Lucha Libre rules will be ruled under the real, original rules which will be active from now on. Those rules are:

1.) Matches can be won by pinning the opponent to the mat for the count of three, making him submit, knocking him out of the ring for a 20 count or by disqualification. All matches are 2/3 Falls.

2.) Using the ropes for leverage is illegal and once a wrestler is on the ropes, his opponent must release any holds and he will not be able to pin him.

Disqualifications also occur when..

.. an opponent uses an illegal hold, a martineti such as the piledriver, a DDT or any move that drops the wrestler head first into the mat as it will result in an immediate disqualification.

.. wrestler uses a weapon, hits the opponent in the groin, uses outside interference, attacks the referee, or rips his opponent's mask completely off.
