The X-WA || "An Act of Vengeance for The Fallen Angel"

Recommended Posts

I'm all for writers discussing their diary out of character with their reader. Its something I do frequently in my diary, as I want the process to be a two-way communication between me and the reader, not a one-way street. So unless its blatantly a cheap bump, I don't think people will take umbrage with it.

Good to hear the diary is helping you get into the game more. I found the same thing. And its a sentiment that's been tossed about a few times on this board, but the whole process has to be something you enjoy. There has to be enjoyment in it for it be worthwhile, and you really need to be writing for yourself first and foremost.

100% agree. If I didn't enjoy writing this diary then I certainly would have closed it awhile ago, however, (as you can see by my countless posts in a row)... It's truly a lot of fun to jump into a situation where you can book your "ultimate company". What you would like to see.. product wise... character wise... You can make the company you're booking your own little "oasis" of wrestling entertainment.

For me, I miss the old school ECW. Not because I want blood and weapons over and over again (even though it did add an extra little spice to everything) but more so for the innovative nature... as well as the more adult-based programming. There were darker characters, crazier moments, and all-around better matches than what you see in the 'E these days.... As there was this sense of freedom to their booking.

So, having my own "company" now... I can creatively create what I miss in the wrestling world. A fusion of old school ECW, TNA (high flying action), and the WWE (A hint of sports entertainment).

Stric Lee Bizness vs. Vicente Marquez

Non-Title Match sorry SLB you take the loss here. Probably by DQ when after The Jack Attack.

Burning TAKA and The Cyclone vs. Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon ("The Circus")

The Circus vs The XWA JOB Squad.

Jacob Jett w/ "The Next-Gen-Trio" vs. Steve Flash

Flash regains his momentum after his loss to Kill Switch.

American Elemental vs. Teddy Powell

AE gets a win over Powell and possibly gets a title shot at SLB.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch

Switch got his big win over Flash but Ota is a title contender of note while Switch still has a bit of a way to go.

Amen.

This is why I really like to read your diary as it feels like the kind of company that I would actually like to watch on TV. The storylines are extremely deep (which you did a great job of creating pretty early on in your diary. Normally it takes me awhile to make anything seem interesting in my games), the characters are interesting, and your little writeups in between are perfect for pushing your main topics across.

One thing though. It will be interesting to see how long you keep the X championship on Acid after reading your previous story post about him signing with inspire. As of right now there are only really 3 guys on your roster (Acid, Flash, and Acid) that I could see realistically win the title.

Thank you, CZCW. You've been a great source of support since I started this diary. I've tried to create a diary that jumps off the page with crazy characters and intriguing storylines that fit with their personas. So far, it's meshed pretty well without having to put much thought into it!

As for Acid, I'm not really sure where I'm going from here. My gut reaction is to continue to see him carry a sense of wrath, however, with his health getting bad... It could be a risky bet to keep the title on him for the long haul. If he ends up getting injured then i'm forced to move things around, however, that could end up forcing me to do something more creative in the end. Either way, I guess we'll see... :D

Thanks again though!

Why do we always find a way to root for the underdogs? The ones that are down on their luck... up against unbearable odds... The men and women who bare their souls in which to potentially make a "dent" on the world? It's really quite simple why we do so... We tend to support those who we feel have the "odds stacked against them" because of that very notion. We all know what it's like to have an amazing feat (by our own life's standards) standing before us. Whether it's taking the lead position within a project at work, studying for a comprehensive final the night before you're set to actually take the test, or it's bursting towards the goaline as two 300 pound LB's with destructive intentions stair down your every move.... We understand what it takes to stand up to the odds and ultimately immortalize those who are strong enough to complete their task.

Vicente Marquez is an example of a true underdog. Growing up in poverty, Vicente couldn't comprehend the world of western luxury. To him, the possibility of attending class was his "luxury"... his "prize"... Outside of that, He was trapped in a life of abysmal poverty. The son of a single mother, Maria Marquez, Vicente was routinely left in charge of the household while his mother was away at work... working 3 jobs in which to support the family that she loved dear. For years he was labeled as the man of the house, starting at the age of 8, as he was the oldest of three other brothers. Needless to say, Vicente was forced out of his childhood from a very young age... pulled out of his sense of innocence in which to practically raise his younger brothers in the process.

Most of the other members on the X-WA roster could tell you about heartbreak as a child, however, in most cases, it would be a long list of failing "sob stories"... Nothing to the effect of what Vicente had to endure. However, there is one man who has seen this kind of pain in his life... the kind of struggle that would link both men forever with one another.. and that's his supposed arch-nemesis, Jack Griffith.

But that's where the real similarity between the two men come to a close. Vicente, instead of allowing his early misfortunes to shape who he is now today, would pull himself up by his "boot straps" and ultimately lead to a promising career as a professional wrestler... Never forgetting where he came from but also finding the "silver lining" within it all... ON the other hand, Jack Griffith would become a slave to his misfortunes as a child... Allowing the agony that plagued his early childhood to manifest itself into a debilitating process of excessive substance abuse. Unlike Marquez, Griffith has never found a "silver lining" within it all... Instead, welcoming his demons further into mind... Destroying any chance at a "normal quality of life".

So in a way you could call their warfare a battle of the Optimist and the Pessimist..... The triumphent and the destructive... The Trancendiary fighter and the Jaded trainwreck. Both men coming from the depths of hell... However... Both men taking different paths on their way out (with one arguably still within the confines of his own personal Hell).

Vicente Marquez now stands at yet another "crossroads".... Yet another challenge that life has bestowed upon him.... Jack Griffith has abducted Marquez's girlfriend in hopes of "breaking the soul" of Vicente Marquez. Not because he has any sort of infatuation with Jennifer (Heat)... Rather, because the eternal pessimist would rather drag Vicente down.. Spiraling him closer and closer to Griffith's own "personal hell". Almost in a way so that Griffith, in the end, will know that another man strickened with the same misfortunes in early in life could ultimately end up where he is... broken, alone, psychotic and suicidal.....

+ Is there a new superstar set to debut at "Reckless Ascent"? Rumor is that the X-WA has come to terms silently with a "big name" superstar and that superstar will be making his first official appearance at this months' PPV! While I've heard reports on who it could be... All of the names being left behind would certainly pose for a historic moment in the X-WA.

+ Has the X-WA signed a short term working agreement with TCW? This one may sound shocking to most who follow the X-WA, however, there is a strong rumor coming out from inside Nemesis's "inner circle" about potentially striking a deal with the 2nd largest company in the United States. Many question whether or not this could be true as the X-WA has been very harsh towards "The Big Three" as of late... but.... With that being said, my source is a trusted friend of mine and I believe this one!

+ Is there a new faction growing in the X-WA? The rumor is that a few superstars may be mulling over an on-screen alliance over the next few weeks as they gear up for "Reckless Ascent" and beyond.

+ Rumor is that Nemesis may declare a stipulation in his favor for his upcoming "One Night Only" match-up with William Kingsbury III at "Reckless Ascent". As it stands right now, if Kingsbury wins then he will receive the X Championship title match that he's been whining about since day one. While this carries enough weight as it is... Few are questioning what's in it for the X-WA Owner. This has generated a lot of rumors about what Nemesis may add in his favor, if anything.

This week's episode of "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" is jam-packed with great matches from start to finish, however, the one match that stands out in my mind is the Main Event between Fumihiro Ota and Kill Switch. The winner will be declared as the NEW #1 Contender to the X Championship and will utlimately go on to face Acid at "Reckless Ascent" for said title.

Kill Switch has already been ruled by every smark on the internet it seems as most don't expect to see him headlining an event at this point of his career in the X-WA, however, don't rule Switch out that early.... Not only does he have "The Circus" on his side (The most successful Trio in X-WA history thus far) but he also did the unthinkable defeating Indy Wrestling Legend, and X-WA Standout, Steve Flash, last week on "Blitzkrieg". So, it's easy to see that the youngster has the ability to "come up big" when he needs to.

On the other hand, Fumihiro Ota is the polished choice in this match-up. He's considered to be one of the most acclaimed cruiserweights in US wrestling history... A man of honor, pride, and respect... However, also a man whose been unable to beat Acid on two different occasions previously. Can the "Sensational Ota" find a way to overcome the odds one last time to receive, yet another, chance at the X Championship? Or will the youngster, Kill Switch, fuse together his vicious in-ring approach along with the "numbers game" that you KNOW will be used at some point through out the match? The only way to find out is by tuning into "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" this week!

Have you ever been labeled as something before you could even prove it to be wrong? Do you know what it's like to be trapped in a constant state of being prejudged?

An endless nightmare of finger-pointing and character assassination best describes my rise within this industry. Around every corner, behind every wall, floating from the mouths of everyone you meet... There my name lies on their lips.

How can I be branded with a "Scarlet Letter".... Bruised with their mistrust.... Broken before I've even been declared as new?

In 2 weeks, "Reckless Ascent", I will prove you all wrong.... I will transcend your shadows... break free from your confines.... I will bring a sense of pride to my name... and begin my Legacy.

Stric Lee Bizness vs. Vicente Marquez

It's non-title, but I'm still going with the champ as I see Marquez getting distracted rather than attacked by Griffith, who gets into his head even more.

Burning TAKA and The Cyclone vs. Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon ("The Circus")

I'll bet Apu loves being able to call Cyclone a jobber! Circus for the win here.

Jacob Jett w/ "The Next-Gen-Trio" vs. Steve Flash

Can't see Flash losing two in a row

American Elemental vs. Teddy Powell

This is purely personal preference. I've never used Powell before.

Fumihiro Ota vs. Kill Switch

Interesting match given Kill Switch's recent momentum and overness boost. I'll take Ota to win but in a way that keeps Switch fairly strong - maybe a DQ or something.

Tough choice. Probably wrong

Burning TAKA and The Cyclone vs. Whippy the Clown and Snap Dragon ("The Circus")

I'd be stupid to go against a style of group that I make in just about every game I play.

good work Eisen. I am trying to catch up (halfway through the roster), however it is hard with final exams coming up. I will be sure to read everything once i get done.

Thanks NickC! Final exams should def. be the most important thing in your life right now as they always seem to find a way to creep up out of nowhere (even if you knew for months.. hah.. I've lived that life before). However, when you're done with all of that... Hopefully you like what you're reading with this diary! With the re-cap write-ups I do following most of my cards, It should be relatively easy to keep up with the stories as we go forward. :D

Best of luck on your exams!

hah. You know it! ;) As the "weeks" go forward up until "Reckless Ascent" I plan on continuing with this style of post for the new debuting superstar. Give a background feel to his/her arrival before they finally make their first appearance. Thought it may be a new way to go about hyping a debuting superstar versus some of the older means I've used.

--------

All in all, thank you to everyone whose left their predictions behind! I'm planning on running through the show "in game" tonight and then will start the write-up sometime in the next day or so! So, if you haven't had a chance yet to leave something behind, You def. have more time! :)

Also, as a quick note. Thank you to everyone who has voted for my X-WA diary thus far in the "Rookie DOTM" competition. I truly appreciate it! I'm up against some great, great, writers so just being in the mix is a great feeling.

The X-WA’s May PPV event, “Reckless Ascent”, is only 2 weeks away and we are still unaware who the NEW #1 contender to the X Championship will be. Can the grizzled veteran, and former TCW cruiserweight centerpiece, find a way to overcome the odds and once again challenge for the title? Or will the psychotic, and often considered demonic, youngster find his way into the Main Event as the “Dark Horse” challenger. While we may be a few days away from their historic #1 contenders match on “Thursday Night Blitzkrieg”…. We here, at X-WrestlingAmerica.com, are going surpass the hype of “who will win” and will rather delve into what kind of match-up you can expect to see if either one of these two superstars are victorious.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/Acid-1.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/vs.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/FumihiroOta_alt-1.jpg

Acid © vs. Fumihiro Ota

… The waged war continues …

If Fumihiro ota is fortunate enough to defeat the “Circus” member, Kill Switch, this week on “Thursday Night Blitzkrieg”… Then we will be treated to Ota vs. Acid - Part II. While the two superstars have faced off against one another 3 times before, this would mark their second meeting with the X Championship “hanging in the wings”. In their first title match, a few weeks ago at the X-WA’s April PPV Event - “eXcessive Force”, Fumihiro Ota pushed the champion to the “edges of hell”.... Coming so very close to obtaining the X Championship from its undefeated holder (in singles competition). In the end, Ota was unable to keep up with the “road warrior” Champion as he grew extremely sluggish in the final minutes of their match. Many were shocked by the outcome as no one expected the Sensational Ota loose the spring in his step and ultimately open himself up for mistakes. It was these mistakes, generated by extreme exhaustion, that would be his eventual downfall as Acid was able to capitalize in the end.

Knowing Ota… if he’s able to somehow pull out a victory this week…. You won’t see this same sort of outcome transpire again. We here at X-WrestilngAmerica.com have been informed that the cruiserweight has been spending extra hours in training as of late… Pushing his body to the extreme… Trying to regain a sense confidence knowing that the same outcome would not arise again.

With a new, more regimented, tool of conditioning… one could comfortably bet on a better showing from Fumihiro Ota. If it’s Ota who ends up challenging Acid… You can be sure that he will continue to push the unraveled champion to the brink once again… Possibly come away with the momentous victory this time around.

If he is able to keep his “legs” and cut his mistakes to a very minimum… Then the rest could take care of themselves. Acid has shown signs of injury as of late… So this could be the very best time for anyone to challenge for the X Championship. If Ota is able to keep the pace at a consistently high level then he may catch Acid off-guard, making a small mistake (which he never seems to do so) due to an underlined nagging injury, then Fumihiro Ota could walk out of “eXcessive Force” as the NEW X-WA X Champion.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/Acid-1.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/vs.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/FrankiePerez_alt1-1.jpg

Acid © vs. Kill Switch

… The demonic youngster faces an uphill battle …

If “Circus” member, Kill Switch, is fortunate enough to defeat the hell-bent cruiserweight (hell-bent to get another shot at Acid), Fumihiro Ota, this week on “Thursday Night Blitzkrieg”… Then we’ll find ourselves with one of the biggest upsets in X-WA history. Then again, who better to pull off such a feat then the man who shocked the industry last week… Defeating the Indy Wrestling Legend, and all-around “King of New York”, Steve Flash, in a shocking turn of events.

If you asked us a month ago if Kill Switch would be challenging for the X Championship… We would have asked you to lay off the “juice” for a little while. It’s not that the hard striking Switch isn’t talented enough to warrant such an opportunity….it’s more of the fact that a matter of a month ago… Kill Switch was nothing more than an unproven singles star “trapped” in a highly successful trio,

The Six Man Champions,“The Circus”. That’s why Kill Switch’s volcanic rise has been something of a complete shock to those outside of, and within, the X-WA. A shock…. However…. Also, with an underlining thought that he would eventually get to this place.

While he’s projected as future cornerstone of the X-WA, no one expected such a speedy ascent to the Main Event. Yet, with those initial inclinations behind us, Switch may be on the road to that very platform…. For if he is able to defeat the hungry Ota… He’ll have the iconic opportunity to step into the ring with the X-WA X Champion, Acid, at “Reckless Ascent”.

The match itself would pose to be a very difficult one to project. Sure, we can count on Switch’s ultra-aggressive, hard striking, stiff-oriented approach to in-ring competition… However, would we see “The Circus” run a muck as we’ve seen countless times before? Would the demonic trio want anything to do with the menacing Champion? Chances are…. They would. That’s the thing about “The Circus”, much like the other highly successful trio “The Next-Gen-Trio”, this pack hunts together. If one man is set for singles action then you best be sure that the other two will be square in his corner…. Ready for a fight…. Ready for their opportunity to overwhelm their opponent. But, would this work in a situation where the opponent himself is a calculating pure fighter with an animalistic furry to each strike. Would the hellacious trio have the ability to slow down such a monster? Only time would tell…. However… truth is…. If Kill Switch is able to make it to the Main Event at “Reckless Ascent”…. Their match-up will go down in history as one of the most chaotic exchanges in X-WA history.

Quick Diary Note:

I just finished plugging "Blitzkrieg" into my TEW game and I'm really excited about getting the show down on paper. Between a few consistent storylines through out the show; as well as one of the best matches grade wise in my diaries history thus far... Overall, the show just feels/looks like it should be a lot of fun to develop. :D

I'm guessing now that I have my layout ready, I'll probably start writing the show sometime tomorrow. Chances are the new show results won't be up until monday or tuesday, however, depending on how much time I get to work on this all tomorrow... It could be sooner.

All in all, Just wanted to let you know when to look for the new show write-up!!

Cheers.

The crowd errupts at the notion of this as they obviously seem to favor the grizzled cruiserweight veteran, Fumihiro Ota. From there, Nemesis would also proclaim that the X-WA is in need of a "pure #1 contender"... And the overall "story" of the match wouldn't create any sense of a let-down. I say "story" because this match-up, while heavily contested, was more of a show than anything else. Vicente Marquez, truly "broken" psychologically due to the abduction of his Girlfriend by the psychotic Jack Griffith, was just "not himself" tonight. The rapid fire, high impact, "always on go" approach that we've come to love from the youngster was nowhere to be seen... Instead, we were subjected to a unfocused, sluggish, and all-around sympathetic figure of a man through out the entire match. There were certain spots where he was able to deliver a string of crowd pleasing spots, however, seconds later... It would seem as if he was completley focused on something else... Stairing off into the crowd in a catatonic kind of way. This would open the door for Stric Lee Bizness to consistently work his way back into control of the match. All in all, Vicente seemed like a "lost puppy" in need of the comfort of his owner... Mindlessly going through the motions... Screaming on the inside for some sort of resolve..... That sense of resolve would come, however, it wasn't what he had in mind... Rather, Stric Lee Bizness was able to slip in behind a slouching Marquez.... Finally landing the signature belly to back Full nelson suplex/pin combo that he used last week to defeat Ultimate Phoenix. In a lot of ways, both TAKA and The Cyclone were seen in control of the match at different points through out. A big aerial spot here, a signature impact strike there.... They looked like a team to be reckoned with. Well, that was until the match was on the verge of coming to a close. As TAKA positioned himself on the top rope for a high risk aerial maneuver.... Whippy the Clown was seen rushing to the corner where he stood... Shoving him to the ground in a thunderous heap. TAKA, who was caught off guard, tried to stagger back to his feet as soon as possible but it was too late... In turn, levying one of the most hanious assaults in wrestling history later that month at the "Shockwaves" PPV Event. In their first meeting, Steve Flash was heroically able to not only defeat Jacob Jett, and to a greater extent... the rest of "The Next-Gen-Trio" who were attempting to cheat their way into a Jett victory, but also put Jacot Jett "on the shelf" with an injury that would keep him out of said PPV event. So, needless to say, both men had their own personal motivation set for this match-up. Jacob Jett, with a newly acquired aggressive tone, was seen as a strong competitor through out their affair... At one point, even getting a 2 and a half count following an extraordinary reversal of a powerbomb into a flat face DDT..... Flash didn't even know what hit him, however, he somehow found a way to kick out (as he always does). Jett, alone, could have been enough to push Flash to the "brink".... but... We all know that this wouldn't end up as another garden variety singles match... As both Francios Cartier and Joss Thompson were seen getting physically and psychologically invovled in the match through out its entirety. It was looking as if Steve was on the verge of, yet another, 3 on 1 attack... creating another match to end in a DQ, however, that wasn't the case.... As Mathew Flash made his historic debut as a TRUE member of the X-WA roster with a run-in attack on both Francios and Joss (who stood in the enterence way trying to stop him). Equpit with a baseball bat in hand... Mathew would physically "mow over" both "Next-Gen" members in the isleway... Knocking them to the concrete floor below and ultimately giving Flash enough room to capitalize.... Jett, focused now on the attack by Mathew, was caught from behind with a "Flash Bang" in the corner of the ring. Typically this would be enough to warrant a victory for the Indy Wrestling Legend, however, the match didn't sto here... Instead, the X-WA fans watched on as Steve Flash locked in a painful sharpshooter submission hold... Pushing Jacob Jett to not only break back into conciousness... but also submit the very second after he realized the amount of pain that was being centered upon his back.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Winner: Steve Flash over Jacob Jett in 12:38 via pinfall.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Grade: D</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><em>Match Notes</em></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">: Steve Flash and Jacob Jett don't seem to click.</span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Angle:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> The cornered Kingsbury airs his complaints...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> C+</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> At this point "Blitzkrieg" was cut into by a satellite delivered promo from the man who was forced back into the X-WA last week by his Father, </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">William Kingsbury III</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> along with his menacing Family owned bodyguard, </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">Vladimir</span></strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';">. Seated on a large white couch in the middle of an illustrious golden living room, Kingsbury was heard ripping into the X-WA, the X-WA's owner Nemesis, and even his Father to a lesser extent. It seems that he had no choice in the matter when it came to coming back to the X-WA... Citing that he would have been happy to walk away from it all due to the lack of respect he'd received since the companies grand opening in February of 2008. Kingsbury, trying to hold back from another tantrum, however not doing a great job of it; is fuming over the fact that he must now face off against the companies Owner, and all around "Crazy person" as Kingsbury puts it, at this months PPV Event... Citing that, while Nemesis was once somebody... He no longer deserves to step into the ring with someone at Kingsbury's callaber. While he hates every second of it... William, without coming straight out and attacking his Father, understands that he is "unable to change his fortunes" and that he'll ultimately have to stick with the X-WA until he can talk his dad out of the decision. As the promo comes to a close, William Kingsbury III is heard, one last time, ripping into Nemesis... Vowing to not step foot on "Blitzkrieg" ever again... Instead, if he is going to be forced to be an "X-WA Employee"... Then he will only be making appearances on PPV Events as the mindless fans of the X-WA don't deserve to watch him compete for free. In the end, Kingsbury has pushed his point across to the viewers that he absolutely hates the fact that he was forced back into the company and will do everything in his power to "appease his Father" (the one with the money) without having to do any actual work. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/AmericanElemental.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/vs.jpg</span><span>http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v305/Zobeto1/X-WA/TeddyPowell_alt2.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>American Elemental vs. Teddy Powell</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> This was really an exchange of two polar-opposites. However, on the other hand, Teddy Powell is currently being projected as a semi-jaded, over-looked, "Tweener" with an obsessive mindset to further his own singles career (after years of being forced into the real of Tag Team wrestling). The crowd, picking up on this notion, would favor AE pretty heavily... however... there was a smattering of "cult" Teddy Powell sympathizers heard within the arena from the start. The match itself was an interesting one as it played heavily on their differences... AE was seen exicuting his "extreme high risk" style to wrestling spots... Pushing the tempo of the match higher and higher until it almost seemed as if he was about to make a grave mistake (botching a spot, landing awkwardly after a spot, etc.)... Meanwhile, Teddy Powell was seen trying to keep up with the pace, however, showing signs of his lack-luster abilities at given moments. That doesn't mean that Powell didn't do well, as his sharp veteran understanding of the affair would prove to be a strong asset, but AE's high impact style would begin to drain on Teddy as the match went on. Just like in weeks before... AE found himself walking a fine line between aerial master and absolute psycho as the international star continued to push the rules of gravity at every turn. This was most evident at the end of the match as Teddy Powell attempted his signature "Motion Censor"... Only for AE to duck down and sweep out Powell's leg. Teddy, trying to get back up, was then seen as the victim... As AE quickly slid in and connected with a springboard moonsault off of the second rope.. Landing squarely on Powell as he staggered back to his feet... Finally, picking up the victory as Powell was unable to break the three count following impact.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Winner: American Elemental over Teddy Powell in 11:48 via pinfall.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> Grade: D+</span></p></div></blockquote><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Angle:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> A lovers attempt at a triumphant rescue...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"><strong>Grade:</strong></span><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> D-</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Franklin Gothic Medium';"> We are now currently at a live shot of the Thompson Psychiatric Clinic only a few short miles away from the X-WA Arena. This establishment was forced to close a matter of 20 years ago following a state-wide investigation into their improper treatments... Shortly after their closing the large menacing cement building would turn into a haven for cracked out misfits and violent underground offenders.... The perfect place for someone like Jack Griffith to, for a lack of a better word, potentially store a body. However, this wasn't about hurting Jennifer in Jack's eyes.... Without saying a word, intently focused on the task at hand, Marquez was seen flinging one half of the enterence doors wide open.. Almost having it fall off of it's hinges due to the overall force he puts into his arrival. From there, the X-WA camera man was seen following Marquez into the thick black darkness of the building. Fumihiro Ota and Kill Switch were both viaing for the #1 Contendership to the "crown jewel" of the X-WA, The X-WA X Championship. Both men were considered to be "in their own world"... Broken away from reality and seemingly focused on the overwhelming task at hand. The match would prove to be an aggressively contested affair as both men were seen as being mistake free through most of their exchange. Kill Switch would rely heavily on his hard striking, stiff-oriented, "never sell" kind of approach to wrestling... at times... Looking more like a vicious MMA fighter than an actual pro wrestler. Meanwhile, Fumihiro Ota was seen relying rather heavily on his strong knowledge of the technical side of wrestling... Slowing down his opponent on several occasions with impact move/submission combos. At one point early on in the match, Fumihiro Ota gained a massive advantage when following a lengthy armbar... Kill Switch was obviously favoring that very arm... Obviously in pain. Like a shark smelling blood... Ota would continue his attack on the youngster's left arm... At one point, Switch subconciously motioned for his trio-mates to climb into the ring and attack Ota following a desperation suplex by the younster... However, when he realized that they weren't at ringside... He quickly changed his approach and began to lock in a few head-based submission holds, himself. Wrentching away at the neck of the fallen cruiserweight and forcing Ota to reach for the ropes on several occasions to break each hold. <p>Quick Note. <strong>Since the diary just jumped to the 17th page some may not know that the "Blitzkrieg" write-up is one page back (16). </strong>I didn't know if people would realize that we've jumped a new page or not... So, needless to say, I thought i'd leave this post behind.</p><p> </p><p>

Finally got around to reading the last show. Marquez is really gonna be one of your top stars in short order. I like the double pin sets up a three way and singles matches with Acid for both Ota and Perez. The have you seen this man post was pure genius.

<p>I hope you don't mind Apu that I broke up your post into three different responses. After reading what you wrote, I really wanted to leave something behind on the points you touched on! </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Apupunchau@optonline" data-cite="Apupunchau@optonline" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Finally got around to reading the last show. Vicente, from the very beginning, was a main focus of mine... Trying to move him up the ranks without having to really give him a "Goldberg" push (as I'd rather see slow builds to the top). However, after two matches above B- (more so than anyone else on the roster) and working through a "hot feud" with Jack Griffith... He's really shaping up to be a bigger deal even earlier than I would have imagined. Now, I'm just afraid of pushing him too far up the card because it seems like the SWF and TCW are about to grow... And they could eventually steal him from me! <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Apupunchau@optonline" data-cite="Apupunchau@optonline" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>I like the double pin sets up a three way and singles matches with Acid for both Ota and Perez.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> I didn't know how well it would be received overall since it doesn't deliver a clear cut winner, however, it was put in place to set up an upcoming storyline between 2 of the three superstars (possibly with all three really being involved over time).</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Apupunchau@optonline" data-cite="Apupunchau@optonline" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="21914" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>The have you seen this man post was pure genius.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks again, Apu! I want the Griffith/Marquez feud to carry more of a story than anything else. I'm not sure how much longer they will continue to go (especially since the grade levels tend to be rather low between the two despite loving the actual feud itself)... However, I thought the post would further build the suspense of what will happen next week on "Blitzkrieg" right before the PPV.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong> *********************</strong></p><p> I'm on the verge of releasing the next "Thursday Night Blitzkrieg" Card [3rd week of May 2008] and will probably do so within the next few hours. The show, itself, will be used primarily (as most pre-PPV shows) to validate a few matches that have taken awhile to build towards the PPV; as well as display new matches set for "Reckless Ascent"... As this will be the last TV show before the PPV write-up. </p><p> </p><p> So, overall, the show will be kind of a hodge-podge of chaos with the intent for resolve (after the PPV). </p><p> </p><p> Cheers.</p>

<em>The Next Gen Trio needs a win in this feud.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Silver Shark vs. <strong>Teddy Powell</strong></p><p>

<em>Silver Shark was a big gun for you early on but I see Powell winning only because he has more of a character to himself right now.</em></p><p> </p><p>

"The Circus" vs. <strong>Fumihiro Ota, Steve Flash, and Mikkel Drago</strong></p><p>

<em>The babyfaces get the upper hand.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>American Elemental </strong>vs. Stric Lee Bizness</p><p>

<em>AE getting the title shot at the PPV? He wins so that it setups their match.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>I'm a UP mark but I don't see him beating the Champ. Esp. right before the PPV.</em></p>
