My WEFF Journal Redux

Recommended Posts

So, the new patch kind of messed up my WEFF journal so I decided it was a good opportunity to reinvent myself and start over from scratch.

Here is how it will work. I'm going to create quarterly pdf files of all the big events at WEFF and link to them below. They will contain all the current rules, weight classes, and rankings along with the events that will be held during that quarter (usually three). I will post the result of the events (along with my analysis) in the follow-up posts I make here along with any other information (like signings). Anyway, let me know if you like it.

Here is one of the highlights of the night between Layla Holmes and Olivia Sweet:

Round two begins!

Holmes tries for a body kick but Sweet moves out of range.

Holmes comes in, looking for a quick takedown.

Holmes gets the takedown! Sweet pulls guard.

Holmes looks to pass guard and get side control.

She does excellently, getting past the guard and into side control.

We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.

Holmes begins trying to get herself into mount.

Holmes shifts to mount.

The end of the round is coming quick, there's under a minute left.

Holmes pounds away on Sweet, landing several great shots that threaten to knock Sweet out!

With Sweet taking a beating, the referee has to stop the match!

The winner, by TKO, is Layla 'The Slayer' Holmes!

Official Result: Layla 'The Slayer' Holmes defeats Olivia 'Sugar' Sweet (TKO in 2:39 of round 2). The match was rated as being Good.

Here is a snippet of a great round of back and forth action between Jennie Gill and Sandy Oliver that saw some very close calls:

There's the bell and round number two begins!

Gill counters a wayward low kick with a brutal head kick, Oliver goes down on her ass!

Gill dives in and gets ready to unload on Oliver.

Gill starts raining down punches...but Oliver manages to cover up and survive the onslaught.

Gill eventually has to stop, and finds herself settled in half guard.

Gill throws a few strikes, but they are without venom.

Oliver attempts a sweep from half guard.

The sweep is good, and Oliver ends up on top in half guard.

Oliver attempts an arm triangle.

Gill blocks it.

Oliver blocks Gill as she tries a transition to full guard.

We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.

We're into the final minute of the round.

In half guard, Oliver throws a couple of punches designed to keep Gill guessing.

Gill tries a sweep from the bottom of half guard, but doesn't budge Oliver.

Oliver aims a couple of punches at Gill, but they are easily taken on the gloves.

The time runs out on round two.

Close, but that round goes to Gill, 10-9 on my card.

Quarterly Issue #2 is now up!

I also have a handful of recent signings I would like to announce:

Hester 'The Slayer' Maclean (9-2)

Maclean is coming off of two knock out victories in the XCC, one of which netted her a title. Obviously, her main strength is in knocking people out, but has a rock hard chin and is extremely marketable with her combination of charisma and exciting fights. I couldn't resist picking her up when she came onto the market and ended up paying a luxuriant $2,000 base pay with a 100% bonus for an exclusive 4 matches over 18 months, something XCC wasn't willing to offer.

Karen 'The Demon' Curtis (7-2)

While Curtis is coming off a stunning title loss to Hester Maclean from a TKO in the 3rd, she's still an extremely skilled fighter with an incredible ground game, intelligence, cardio, killer instincts, and a decent standup game. Given the really solid chin she has, it is surprising she got knocked out. I picked her up on an associate contract of 4 fights over 18 months at a pay of $1,600. She still has 2 more matches contracted with XCC, but it's likely I'll try to get an exclusive contract after.

Hanako 'The Storm Bringer' Shimizu (10-1)

Shimizu is an exciting muay thai specialist who is coming off some great wins in KDM FC. As with Maclean, I decided not to hold back in signing her exclusively to the WEFF and managed to wrench her away from KDM FC with a base pay of $2,000 with a 100% win bonus and 4 guaranteed matches over 18 months.

'The Japanese Buzzsaw' Naora Kikuchi (6-0)

Okay, so I probably should have picked her up before KDM FC did as she has some crazy muay thai skills, work ethic, and puts on exciting matches. She's only coming off a win over a very mediocre fighter, but I have high hopes that she'll be a star. I signed her to an $1,800 base pay contract with 100% win bonus for 4 guaranteed matches over 18 months.

Hopefully these four major signings won't bankrupt me. :) The good thing is that all of these fighters can put on exciting shows, so it should benefit WEFF in the long run.

This is a highlight from the main event between Summers and Croft in the fourth round where Croft is able to survive Summers' brutal ground and pound:

We are back underway!

There is an exchange of strikes, but neither fighter does any damage.

From the missed strikes they clinch.

Croft gets caught with a couple of nice short punches as Summers uses her dirty boxing to inflict some punishment.

From the grapple, Summers tries a takedown.

Summers gets the takedown! Croft pulls guard.

Summers looks to pass guard and get side control.

Summers is too much for Croft, passing guard and gaining side control.

Summers tries to get into the mount position.

Croft can't fend off her opponent and is mounted.

We are now at the halfway point of the round.

Summers unloads with big punches from the mount, landing several that clearly hurt Croft.

We have one minute of the round remaining.

Summers pounds away on Croft, but few of the shots lands clean.

Summers pounds away on Croft, but few of the shots lands clean.

Summers pounds away with punches from the mount, but doesn't really do a great deal of damage.

Summers pounds away with punches from the mount, but doesn't really do a great deal of damage.

Round four is brought to an end as time runs out.

Summers takes that round easily by 10-8 on my score card.

Here are the results from WEFF 24.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/WEFF24.JPG

The tide turned on Erica Page when she got a takedown early presumably to work for a sub when she herself ends up getting subbed:

Next up, 'Canadian Storm' Erica Page takes on Hope 'Scythe' Lehane in the WEFF Womens division.

We are underway!

Page chooses to shoot in on Lehane.

She has the takedown! Lehane pulls guard.

Page throws a few half-hearted punches as she takes a moment to plan ahead.

Page tries to control Lehane against the ground, but finds it a struggle.

Lehane raises her legs and tries to get Page into a triangle choke.

The triangle is deeply applied, Page has to tap before she is put to sleep!

The winner, by Submission, is Hope 'Scythe' Lehane!

Official Result: Hope 'Scythe' Lehane defeats 'Canadian Storm' Erica Page (Submission in 1:20 of round 1). The match was rated as being Great.

Here are the results from WEFF 25.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/WEFF25.JPG

This is from up-and-coming star Trish Biel taking on hard-nosed veteran Lynda Epsom in the second round where Biel works her magic:

We are back underway!

Epsom bobs and weaves.

It seems that Biel is happy to let Epsom circle for the moment.

Biel uses a combination of three punches to get Epsom to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown.

Epsom sees the takedown coming and tries to move.

Biel gets the takedown! Epsom pulls guard.

Biel tries to pass the guard.

Biel gets past the guard with a certain degree of ease and gains side control.

We've now passed the halfway mark in this round.

We're into the final minute of the round.

Biel attempts to move to mount.

Biel shows her ground skills and slips to mount.

Biel tries to set up Epsom for a triangle choke using her legs.

The triangle is on, and once Biel has rolled onto her back Epsom has to tap!

'The Real Deal' Trish Biel takes the win by Submission!

Official Result: 'The Real Deal' Trish Biel defeats 'The Mean Machine' Lynda Epsom (Submission in 2:50 of round 2). The match was rated as being Great.

Quarterly Issue #3 is up!

I also wanted to comment on the recent events:

Jennie Gill beating Alisha Wood surprised the hell out of me. First off, Jennie Gill comes in at 15 pounds lighter than Wood, so there is an immediate disadvantage there. Secondly, Wood has some crazy takedown skills and Gill has nothing, zilch, nada when it comes to defending takedowns and the ground game. So, what happened? Simple. Wood was too slow and Gill was too quick. It resulted in Gill being able to maneuver out of Wood's range and pelter her with her fists and kicks, which impressed the judges enough to give her the win. This match made it stunningly clear how much of a disadvantage Wood's slowness is.

You know what else surprised me? Roz Wareing beating Sarah Vaughan! This is why WMMA2 kicks so much ass. Wareing was actually intelligent enough to know that she couldn't beat Vaughan on the ground where she was more comfortable, so she opted to beat her standing up, something that Vaughan really dislikes doing despite being decent at it (she is always looking for a takedown). So, the match generally went with Wareing fending off Vaughan's constant takedown attempts and Wareing countering her with fists, at least two of which that nearly knocked Vaughan out!

With that said, there are going to be a ton of great matches featured at WEFF 26, 27, and 28. Let me give a rundown on those that are particularly noteworthy:

Summers vs. Janinha

This might be the first serious challenge for the Womens belt that Summers has faced yet. Summers did an admirable job fending off Vaughan and was never in any real danger and she pretty much annihilated Haley Croft. Janinha is a whole new beast. Her muay thai striking and kicks are deadly, beyond anything Summers is capable of. While she really doesn't have a ground game, she's decent at defending against takedowns, so unless Summers gets lucky, the ground isn't a place Janinha is going to be seeing too much of. So, I'd imagine we're going to see a hell of a brawl that should turn out to be a great match.

O'Neill vs. Gill

This one should be both fun and interesting to watch. O'Neill is a much more versatile fighter than O'Neill, but Gill is no slouch on her feet and she's proven to be very elusive thus far. This is really going to be a breakout win for one of these fighters.

Biel vs. Arroway

Two extremely high prospect fighters going toe to toe here. Arroway is the more versatile of the two, but Biel has an absolutely incredible ground game.

Croft vs. Wood

Both coming off tough losses and are hoping to get back on the right track with a win here. It's going to be interesting to see if this will be a repeat of the Gill vs. Wood match with Croft taking advantage of Wood's slowness. We shall see.

DeNeuve vs. Sweet

This might be the most exciting match out of all three events. This is pure kickboxer vs. kickboxer. DeNeuve is just a pleasure to watch the way she uses her feet and hands. If she could improve her ground game a little, she would be unstoppable.

Vaughan vs. Page

Since Vaughan has had some trouble with those pesky standup fighters, I decided to give her someone who is more versed in the ground game rather than standup. This should be a great bout to see who can sub who first.

Wareing vs. Curtis

It's going to be interesting to see if Wareing opts to standup with Curtis and avoid her deadly ground game like she did with Vaughan. I'm thinking Curtis is going to be all too happy to engage in a standing battle.

Stein vs. Maclean

The knock out power in Maclean's hands versus Stein's barrage of kicks. That's probably what it will boil down to.

Since you don't show your gates I have a question. How financially viable are your shows? Do you make any money when booking 9 fights?

I'm losing around $50,000 total from those three shows. But, I think of them as promotional fees: my popularity and my fighter's name values are eventually going to hit a tipping point. And if I have to, I can cut back and go into "money-making mode." I'm currently just over $300,000, so I can safely put on another five or so of these mega-shows, and as long as I book the right shows, my popularity should be high enough by then to where it'll start countering the losses.

Here are the results from WEFF 26.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/WEFF26.JPG

Well, contrary to what I thought, Summers pretty much dominated Janinha. Here is an example of that:

And here we go, round four!

Summers throws a couple of jabs, then chooses to shoot in on Janinha.

Janinha throws a vicious uppercut first, but it just misses.

Both fighters go to exchange blows, but neither gets past the gloves of the other.

Summers counters a missed punch with a high kick, momentarily putting Janinha on rubbery legs!

There's a takedown attempt from Summers.

To counter, Janinha throws a massive punch but only finds the gloves.

We are now at the halfway point of the round.

A showdown where they both exchange strikes only results in a stalemate.

In close proximity from the strikes they threw, they fall into a messy clinch.

Summers attempts to take down Janinha from the grapple.

Summers gets the takedown! Janinha pulls guard.

We move into the final sixty seconds of this round.

Summers looks to pass guard and get side control.

She manages to pass, but only to half guard.

Summers tries to pass the half guard.

Summers shows her skill, slipping from half guard straight into a mount with minimum fuss.

Round four is brought to an end as time runs out.

Here are the results from WEFF 27.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/WEFF27.JPG

WEFF 27 saw O'Neill showoff her amazing submission skills to submit Gill at the end of round three:

And here we go, round three!

Gill avoids a jab.

A straight punch from Gill fails to land.

O'Neill steps in to put some pressure on.

O'Neill avoids a quick jab and hits a flurry of quick punches.

We move into the second half of this round.

A couple of quick punches are used to set up a takedown attempt from O'Neill.

O'Neill has the takedown! Gill pulls half guard.

O'Neill pounds away with punches from half guard and Gill is in big trouble!

The end of the round is coming quick, there's under a minute left.

O'Neill tries to lock Gill into an arm triangle.

O'Neill gets the arm triangle, sinks it in deeply, and Gill has to tap!

By Submission, the winner is O'Neill!

Official Result: Pamela 'The Truth' O'Neill defeats Jennie 'Bad Girl' Gill (Submission in 2:25 of round 3). The match was rated as being Great.

Here are the results WEFF 28.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/WEFF28.JPG

By far the biggest upset since Lawson lost to Agnostini, here, Sablikova falls right into Lehane's deadly submission game:

Round three begins!

Lehane keeps out of range, assessing the situation.

Time slips away as Sablikova doesn't press Lehane, allowing her to circle.

Sablikova looks like she might be trying to get in close and wrestle with Lehane.

Sablikova cannot get close enough to the elusive Lehane to grapple.

Sablikova uses a combination of three punches to get Lehane to cover up, then shoots in looking for a takedown.

The takedown is successful, Lehane pulls guard.

Sablikova fires away with big elbows, but Lehane keeps the guard secure and doesn't take any undue damage.

Lehane brings her legs up and tries to lock Sablikova in a triangle choke.

The triangle is deeply applied, Sablikova has to tap before she is put to sleep!

By Submission, the winner is Lehane!

Official Result: Hope 'Scythe' Lehane defeats 'The Best From The East' Veronika Sablikova (Submission in 2:07 of round 3). The match was rated as being Good.

Quarterly Issue #4 is up!

I've got a new signing to talk about:

Alison 'Dirty Angel' Beattie (7-3)

I picked her up as her contract was expiring with XCC. She already is well known among Canadians as being extremely charismatic and putting on very exciting matches. Although she went 1-2 with XCC, I have faith that her tremendous standup game will work wonders for her in the WEFF.

I also want to announce that Alisha Wood will no longer be with the WEFF as she could not agree to a suitable deal with the WEFF. Perhaps in the future this will be rectified.

I've got some GREAT up-and-coming shows to talk about. First of all, the barn-burner: WEFF 29: Summers vs. O'Neill.

So, I was hard on Summers. She is damned good as she pretty much dominated Janinha by exploiting her non-existent ground game. So, what is different with O'Neill and why would she prevail where others have failed? For starters, she is just as if not more versatile than Summers. In fact, she's a better ground specialist. Summers is not going to find it easy if she decides to take it to the ground, so it'll be interesting to see what Summers' game plan is going to be. Will this finally be the end of Summers' reign? Stay tuned to find out.

Another HUGE match at WEFF 29 will be Maclean vs. Curtis II.

Curtis wanted this match badly after suffering a stunning knock out defeat to Maclean in XFC. They are both coming off a string of wins, notably Maclean knocking Stein unconscious and Curtis pulling off an amazing submission victory over the popular Roz Wareing. So both of these fighters are ready for this. It's going to be a war.

Also watch for Kikuchi vs. Watanabe. These two are both undefeated and looking to prove themselves. There is inevitably going to be a clash between Kikuchi's deadly muay thai skills and Watanabe's strength and punishing ground game.

Both rising stars Thea Higgins and Kimie Igarashi will be looking to prove who has the better ground game at WEFF 29 as well. It's really surprising how similar these two fighters are, so it'll be interesting to see who prevails.

Moving on to WEFF 30: Biel vs. Holmes.

This match is going to be crazy as they are some of the most skilled ground specialists in the WEFF. They also display tremendous defensive skills, so it might be a constant stalemate in terms of the ground game and might ultimately be determined by the little things. One thing is for certain: whoever wins will be put right in line for a title shot.

Temperance McCoy vs. Alison Beattie.

McCoy, despite her amazing standup game, has failed to impress me. All three of her matches thus far in the WEFF have come via decision and it really seems at times like she's holding back. Beattie is the new kid on the block, so McCoy really needs to step up here to get a win. It'll be interesting to see how McCoy's 8 inch height advantage will play a factor and with exciting as both of these fighters are, get ready for the fight of the night!

Hanako Shimizu vs. Laura Adair.

Muay Thai vs. Muay Thai. That is what it will come down to. Is Adair ready to step up? Is Shimizu the real deal? Find out at WEFF 30.

On to WEFF 31: DeNeuve vs. Croft.

What a match this is going to be. One of the finest kickboxers in the WEFF will be taking on another fine kickboxer in her own right. These two slugging it out should undoubtedly make for a great fight to watch.

Steph Smith vs. Leslie Myers.

There is more than one contrast between these fighters. First, Steph Smith, out of all the fighters in the WEFF, has impressed me the most, while Leslie Myers has impressed me the least. Second, Smith is one of the finest submission artists in WEFF while Myers does most of her work standing up. In all likelihood, Smith will shoot in on Myers, get the takedown, and submit Myers. It's time for Myers to prove that prediction wrong.

Sarah Vaughan vs. Hope Lehane.

After a stunning upset submission win over rising star Veronika Sablikova, Lehane looks to try her luck against her equal, Sarah Vaughan. Make no mistake about it, this will be all about the ground game as Vaughan has consistently proven her dislike of standing up and Lehane has little to no skills to speak of in that area.

What the hell is this? :p

you're replaying the same month over and over but with different fights? Couldn't you just wait a full day till the game was released? This 'diary' makes no sense whatsoever. The stats, the streaks and heat into the matches are all neglected now.

I advice you try again tomorrow. :)

Quarterly Issue #5 is up!

A lot of things have happened recently. First of all, I was able to sign a contract on the Public Access Select PPV network and managed to earn almost $700,000 from my last three events!

Secondly, WEFF is pleased to announce a new TV show on Q-TV which broadcasts exclusively in Canada. The show will be called "Queen of the Ring" and will showcase some of the younger, up-and-coming talent in the WEFF.

There has also been a rule change in response to both fighter concerns and fan feedback. From now on, non-title bouts will change from 3x3 minute bouts to 3x5 minute bouts and title bouts will change from 5x3 minute bouts to 5x5 minute bouts. These changes will do more to conform WEFF to MMA regulation standards while helping to legitimize women's MMA.

In all honesty, I made this rule change because it was rare to ever see a fighter get tired and too often I've seen ground-based fighters penalized because they just don't have enough time to do anything on the ground.

In other news, I have two new signings to talk about:

'The Phenom' Sayoko Ebisawa (12-2)

One of the most exciting, charismatic fighters around, Ebisawa is a deadly muay thai specialist and a gritty veteran of the sport. She went 1-2 in KDM FC, falling prey twice to submissions. But, she's hoping to start fresh in WEFF and getting back to her winning ways.

Nina 'Liberty' Belle (0-0)

This new recruit is an exciting, aggressive strike-based fighter who actually has a decent ground game to boot. She may have the skills one day to be a serious contender in WEFF.

Finally, I want to talk about the great events coming in June:

Queen of the Ring

The match headlining the brand new show on Q-TV should be something to watch. Leslie Myers' will see if she has what it takes to fend off yet another ground-based fighter in Thea Higgins. Higgins does have some very good striking skills, but my bet is she'll be looking to take Myers down to make things easier.

WEFF 32: O'Neill vs. Curtis

O'Neill defends her belt for the first time against the raging demon that is Karen Curtis. While both of these fighters are extremely versatile, you might give the standup advantage to O'Neill while the ground advantage would go to Curtis. I would imagine Curtis has to be thinking she has to get O'Neill on the ground to win.

Another one to watch at WEFF 32 is Vaughan vs. Janinha. Their fighting styles couldn't clash more with Vaughan being a stubborn ground specialist and Janinha always looking for that deadly knock out standing up. Janinha, as evidenced by her fight with Summers, has shown she's easy to get to the mat, so we'll see if she's improved that aspect of her game since then.

WEFF 33: DeNeuve vs. Biel

What a match this is going to be! The question will be if DeNeuve can pose enough threat with her beautiful kickboxing skills to ward off Biel's attempts to get DeNeuve to the mat and sub her.

Both Summers and Maclean will be looking for a win after suffering tough losses. If Summers can fend off Maclean's deadly knockout power, she should be able to get Maclean to the ground with ease and work her magic there.

Here are the results to Queen of the Ring.....

http://home.comcast.net/~downer28/queen01.JPG

This might go down as the fight of the YEAR for me. Watanabe was dominating Holmes and had won rounds one and two easily, and then gets submitted with 12 seconds left. What a tough loss:

Round three begins!

Holmes throws a couple of jabs as a set up, then shoots in for a takedown.

The takedown is successful, Watanabe pulls guard.

Time slips away as Holmes successfully keeps Watanabe stuck against the ground.

In guard, Holmes begins working to pass to side control.

Holmes isn't able to pass guard on this attempt.

Watanabe tries a sweep from the bottom of the guard, but doesn't budge Holmes.

Holmes is trying to pass guard.

She can't quite manage to get past guard on this attempt.

Holmes blocks an attempted sweep.

We move into the second half of this round.

The referee decides that there is a lack of progress being made and stands them back up.

Holmes circles around Watanabe.

Watanabe seems to be waiting for Holmes to make a move.

A straight jab by Holmes keeps Watanabe from advancing.

Time slips away as Watanabe doesn't press Holmes, allowing her to circle.

Breathing very hard, Echiko Watanabe is looking ragged.

There's under a minute left in this round.

Holmes comes in, looking for a quick takedown.

Holmes has the takedown! Watanabe pulls half guard.

Holmes reaches over and tries to lock Watanabe in an americana.

Holmes gets the americana fully applied and Watanabe has to tap out!

By Submission, the winner is Holmes!

Official Result: Layla 'The Slayer' Holmes defeats Echiko 'Rhino' Watanabe (Submission in 4:48 of round 3). The match was rated as being Great.

Here are the results from WEFF 32.....

Quarterly Issue #6 is up!

Some recent signings to talk about, first:

'The Blonde Bombshell' April Watson (7-0)

Coming off of two wins in the XCC, Watson is already known well amongst both Canadians and Americans as having an explosive striking and muay thai game. Her takedown defense is decent enough that her lack of a ground game usually isn't a problem.

Katherine 'The Great' Williams (6-2)

Williams has built up an impressive 4-1 record with XCC, getting submissions in all four of her wins. She's got some great takedowns and obvious great submission skills, but also is very elusive and has great cardio. While she has some recognition in the states, she is unknown to Canadians, so it will take some time for her to settle in the WEFF.

Now, about the up-and-coming events:

Queen of the Ring

Watson vs. Arroway should be a very exciting contest between Watson's striking and Arroway's amazing versatility. Watson really has to keep the fight standing because Arroway is good enough on the ground that she won't last long there.

WEFF 34: Curtis vs. Biel

Two extremely talented fighters will be going toe to toe here. Both are similarly matched on the ground, so I would expect there to be nothing but a stalemate there, but Curtis might be the better standup fighter and Biel's chin has not yet been tested.

Another exciting match up at WEFF 34 will be Layla Holmes taking on Veronika Sablikova. Now remember, Sablikova fail easy prey to Hope Lehane's submission skills, so with Holmes being an even more deadly submission artist, it'll be interesting to see if Sablikova comes in with a different game plan. Sabolikova does pack a lot of power in her punches, but so does Holmes and it may come down to seeing who has the weaker chin.

WEFF 35: McCoy vs. Janinha

This is one the fans have been dying to see! Forget about the ground game, this will be nothing but high flying kicks and vicious striking to see who can best weather the storm.

We also have what will bound to be a great rematch between Vicki Summers and Haley Croft at WEFF 35. Last time, Croft really took a beating from Summers' ground and pounding, so it'll be interesting to see if she can bring anything different to the table this time around. Summers is coming off a solid win over Maclean and is undoubtedly itching to get her title back.

I should also mention that Thea Higgins will be taking on Hanako Shimizu at WEFF 35. Unlike Shimizu's one dimensional game, Higgins actually has a nice combination of striking and ground combat. Are Shimizu's muay thai strikes going to be too much for Higgins to handle or will Higgins exploit Shimizu's weak ground game? This will certainly be a key match in elevating one of these fighters to the top.

Both O'Neill and DeNeuve will be duking it out to get back to their winning ways at WEFF 35 as well. Will DeNeuve's weak ground game cost her another loss or can she pose enough threat to O'Neill in the striking so that she think's twice about shooting in on her?

This was a really fun journal to do, but I think I will be retiring it and moving on to do something else. The main reason is I ran into a roadblock changing from regional to national and I was having serious concerns about getting fired, so I was forced to use my WEFF dynasty for some experimentation and that's never any fun. I did learn some things and am eager to apply what I learned to the dynasties I do in the future.

Anyway, thanks for following along. :)
