With GAMMA at the end of May 2001:

LW: Julio Reguiero (0 Defences. After moving down in weight, Julio became the first person to defeat Li-Kong Ho, and in the process, became Lightweight Champion.)

WW: Darin Blood (1 Defence against Charles Stiles. After drawing with Regueiro in his first match, he defeated him in the rematch to win the title. Despite holding the belt for 15 months, hes only had one defence to make, due to lack of USA Name Value in challengers Bunya and Carpenter)

MW: Neil Napier (5 Defences against De Vries, Dean, Aldez, Strange and Garner. Looks set to face the 18-0 Alex Cole in his next defence)

LHW: Anthony Le Toussier (0 Defences, became a 2 time champion after defeating Mike Watson for the belt, after he had previously lost the belt to him)

HW: Hassan Fezzik (0 Defences, defeated James Foster in a 48-47 unanimous decisin victory to win the belt, could face Sarkisian or Rav Kapur in his first defence)

Just had Hassan Fezzik unify the Heavyweight and Interim Heavyweight in a fight with James Foster. Zvonimir Asanovic finally earned his chance to regain his LHW title back, and was able to do so by beating Matthew Dean by split decision. After Buddy Garner bailed, and went to ALPHA-1, GAMMA held an eight man tournament, which was won by Petey Mack, who defeated Neil Napier in the final, and nobody has been able to touch Julio Reguierio. Li-Kong Ho has been unstoppable as the Lightweight champion.

This is all within the first 2.75 years of the game. I love it.

UFC 8: Tank Abbott def. Jason DeLucia by unanimous decision (Not his most convincing performance, and the second of three times Mr. DeLuca fell just short of a tournament win. Took out Ray Wizard for the second time en route, whilst Tank had (T)KO wins over Ramirez and Gary Goodridge inside of two minutes)

UFC 9: Marco Ruas def. Don Frye (This results surprised me as The Predator was in fine form in his two preliminary bouts, whilst Ruas took his time to beat Sutton and Kalman)

UFC 10: Don Frye def. Garry Goodridge by unanimous decision (Frye finally got on the end of a favourable decision, by outlasting Goodridge who had to fight for an hour all up following two decision wins)

UFC 11: Tank Abbott def. Julian Sanchez by TKO (punches) at 18:26 (Sanchez put up a great fight here after already upsetting Jerry Bohlander in the semi finals by decision. Tank too good as he picked up a second tournament crown)

UU 96: Gary Goodridge def. Jason DeLucia by TKO (punches) at 4:24 (The best tournament put together IMO with these two, Ruas, Rhodes, Gordeau, Frye, Sanchez and Abbott making it up. DeLucia picked up the upset of the decade by catching Frye in a triangle in the semis having already beaten Tank Abbott in the quarters. Wasn't to be, though, as Goodridge earned the first heavyweight title shot with a strong showing.)

UFC 12 (Lightweight): Kazushi Sakuraba def. Enson Inoue by submission (armbar) at 10:00 (Introduction of the four-man tournament here, but WMMA only lets you run one a night so I'll alternate. Sakuraba tore through both opponents and looks the most likely to fight Gracie for the 199 and under title at UFC 13, but DeLucia is also in contention after picking up a win over Ray Wizard on the same night. In other news, Don Frye is in a real slump after losing to the debuting Tra Telligman).

  • 2 weeks later...

I am a year an a half into my GAMMA game and have had some odd turnover with my titles...

LW Champion: Li-Kong Ho

- Defeated Sean Morrison for the title

- Preparing for first defense against Helio

WW Champion: Darin Blood

- Beat Julio Regueiro for the title

- Defended once against Dominykas Jankovic

- Preparing to face Alan Kendall

MW Champion: Buddy Garner

- Beat Neil Napier in a superfight for the title

- Defended once against Stuart Strange in a Split Decision

- Set to face Adam White next who has been a monster.

LHW Champion: John Rivero

- Beat Zvonimir Asanovic for the title (I was shocked by this one)

- Defended once against Ken Peters

- Hyun-Shik Lim and Niko Soldo are next in line.

HW Champion: Jeff Carlton

- Beat James Foster for the title (I was pretty suprised by this too.

- My HW division has been crazy. Hughes beat Foster defended a couple times and than lost to Foster in a rematch. Than Foster lost his first defense against Carlton.

- Meanwhile Christopher Sharp, Kurt McDonald and Renato have been unstoppable. McDonald is next in line after beating Raul Hughes.

Featherweight: Phillip Ziskie - His only loss has been in his first fight against Manish Khan, he's since gone on to beat him in a rematch as well as knock out Li-Kong Ho and Nuno Valentino respectively.

Lightweight: Fiyero Lermontov - Still undefeated, and came to be more than just hype after beating Sean Morrison twice, the first being a SD and the second being a UD. Since then, he's beaten Luis Basora and Fumiyaki Hayashi by submission and is struggling to find a challenger, as Lubos Plasil is in the same camp as him.

Welterweight: Kafu Bunya - This one surprised me. I thought he'd lose to Heikichi Shimizu, but saying that, I thought Shimizu would lose to Aldarisio so what do I know? He subbed Shimizu to take his title and before that he UD'd Jack Humphreys.

Middleweight: Matthew Dean - Simply put, un-stoppable. Has subbed Jonathan Huang, Xie Ming, Maarten De Vries and Ashley Ballard and has UD'd Neil Napier, Alex Cole and JJ Reid. He'll probably face Heiji Endo next.

Cruiserweight: Jin Katou - Just brought him in half a year ago. Before that he'd subbed Inejiro Chiba and stopped Roberto Aldez before being subbed himself by Tadamasa Yamada and then knocked out by Daniil Skala. Since those two losses, he's beaten everyone he's came across, most recently Roberto Aldez again by submission and then Hyun-Shik Lim by majority decision to take the title from him.

Heavyweight: Take a wild guess. Though, he is getting a live opponent in Aleksander Ivanov who's recently beaten James Foster and Raul Hughes, Hughes by submission. He's also got wins over Wilson Franklyn, Gunnar Nilsson, Tim Boyer, Jack Cobblepot and Lefter Otkay, the majority of them either being subs or stoppages.

I love my champions. I don't hold out for Katou to hold onto it for long though, 'specially as I'll be bringing in Tadamasa in soon.

I can go to bed happy now. What a fight. If Fezzik had held on for another 2 minutes he would of UD'd him. I'm glad he didn't.

Updating it and who cares, but meh.

Featherweight: Heiko Pander def. Phillip Ziskie via majority decision, mostly lay and pray bull****.

LightweighT: Fiyero Lermontov, still champion, still a beast. Putting him against Chan Kim Huat next who won a Lightweight tournament. That guy is an animal.

Welterweight: Lubos Plasil lay and pray'd his way to a victory over Kafu Bunya. Highly disappointing, especially how Bunya had him knocked down in the last round. A rematch sometime in the future, I imagine.

Middleweight: Heiji Endo over Matthew Dean. This one surprised me. Submitted him in the 5th round, from what I remember he was pretty dominant in the fight.

Cruiserweight: Mike Watson knocked out Katou, after he took the belt off Lim with a majority decision and defended his belt once in Japan against Ken Peters, winning by TKO.

Heavyweight: Ivanov's facing the winner of an 8 man tournament I've just set up.

So my only champion who has kept the belt since the beginning is Fiyero Lermontov. And I only have around 5/6 undefeated fighters in my company. The only disappointing thing I'd say about my game is sometimes there's a few too many rematches for my taste. Only one has main evented though, which ain't bad.

BCF just went out of business too, couldn't buy them out in time. Bummer.
