Abyss versus Shawn Michaels

Abyss seems off his game tonight, which allows HBK to get the win in his TNA debut.

Shawn Michaels beat Abyss in 18:03 by pinfall with a Sweet Chin Music

After the match Abyss' former partner Amazing Red comes to the ring. As Shawn Michaels heads to the back Red tries to help his partner up. Amazing Red gets a microphone from ringside and tells Abyss that he did well to last as long as he did. Abyss then grabs the microphone from Amazing Red and tells him that he no longer wants anything to do with him. He challenges Red to a match at Genesis. Amazing Red reluctantly accepts, although he clearly does not want to fight somebody that he values a friend. Abyss then leaves the ring and heads to the back, leaving Red looking disappointed in the ring, and not looking forward to the prospect of wrestling Abyss at Genesis. The fans boo, clearly disappointed themselves at Abyss' actions.

Mike Tenay announces at the start of this contest that whatever individual gets the pinfall or submission victory will challenge the winner of tonight's Main Event for the World title at Genesis. Kingston pins Shelley to get the win and the title shot.

Ray Gordy and Kofi Kingston beat The Motor City Machineguns in 2:35.

Tommy Dreamer and CM Punk come to the ring. Dreamer takes a microphone and says that he guarantees that either he or his friend CM Punk will win the World title tonight. Dreamer hands the microphone to Punk but before he can say anything the former World Champion Brock Lesnar rushes to the ring. Lesnar hits Punk with a huge F-5 leaving Dreamer looking shocked. Lesnar looks dominant in the ring as he urges Dreamer to take him on. Lesnar then leaves the ring as the clear favourite in tonight's main event leaving Dreamer to check on CM Punk.

Sharmell accompanies Cody Deaner to ringside for this match, apparently scouting him for a future role in the Main Event Mafia. Lashley still gets the quick victory here though.

Mike Tenay announces during this bout that the winning team will go on to face Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett at Genesis. Hurricane and Killings get the quick victory here after Killings pins Jay Lethal.

Austin Aries and Cristiano Ronaldo versus Finlay and Marshall Mathers

Cristiano Ronaldo is inexperienced here in his TNA debut, but that should go away by the time he faces Finlay in singles action next month at Genesis. Ronaldo's inexperience leads to Finlay pinning Austin Aries to give his team the victory.

Cute Kip comes to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. He announces that he will challenge for the X Division title at Genesis. Before Kip can say anything else, however, he is interrupted by Shane Sewell. Sewell comes to the ring and snatches the microphone from Kip. Sewell says that he also has an X Division title shot at Genesis, but the difference is he'll actually win the title. Kip says that they should both watch the title match later between Champion Homicide and Challenger Charlie Hunnam so they know who else will be in the match. The two shake hands and leave the ring together.

Sal and Seth Green versus Chavo Guerrero Jr. and David Villa

David Villa is really off his game tonight which leads to his team losing the match after Sal pins Chavo.

Sal and Seth Green beat David Villa and Chavo Guerrero Jr in 2:03.

Brother Devon & Jeff Jarrett vs Major Brothers vs The British Invasion

Brother Devon seems off his game tonight but he and Jarrett are still able to get the victory here heading into the match with Hurricane and Killings at Genesis.

Dr. Stevie comes to the ring with a microphone and announces that he has a Legends title shot at Genesis against whoever wins the three-way for the Legends title tonight with Nash defending against Andromeda and Jethro Holliday. Before Stevie can say anything else he is interrupted by Harry Smith. Smith takes the microphone from Stevie and says that he is also a part of the Legends title match at Genesis. The two have a stare-down in the ring before Smith eventually backs down and heads to the back. Stevie then heads to the back himself to a mixed reaction from the fans in attendance.

Dylan Postl vs Typhoon

Mike Tenay announces during this bout that the winner will receive a future Legends title match. Dylan Postl soon gets the win and the future title shot.

Sheik Abdul Bashir and Rocco versus Los Colons

Mike Tenay announces during this match that next month at Genesis Carlito Colon will face Sheik Abdul Bashir in one-on-one action. Los Colons get the quick victory here after Carlito pins Rocco.

The Colons beat Sheik Abdul Bashir and Rocco in 1:43.

TNA X Division Championship: Homicide © versus Charlie Hunnam

Charlie Hunnam is still green and inexperienced in the ring, which leads to Homicide getting the quick victory and retaining his title.

Homicide beat Charlie Hunnam in 1:04 by pinfall with a Cop Killa.

Chris Jericho and Paul Wight versus Chris Harris and Jack Korpela

Chris Harris is really off his game tonight which leads to his team losing this match after Jericho pins Jack Korpela.

Chris Jericho and Paul Wight beat Chris Harris and Jack Korpela in 1:42.

Lisa Varon, Maria & Melanie Lynskey vs Beauchamp, Jackie & Sharmell

Melanie Lynskey is still inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but that should go away by the time she teams with Maria again at Genesis to take on Bianca Beauchamp and Jacqueline in tag team action. Lynskey's team are still able to get the win here after Lisa Marie Varon pins Jacqueline.

Knockouts Title: Mickie© vs Ayako vs Rayne vs Sky vs ODB vs Taylor

Cute Kip accompanies fellow Beautiful People members Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky to ringside for this one but his presence alone is not enough to help either of them as Micke pins Madison Rayne to retain her title here.

Mickie beat Ayako Hamada, Madison Rayne, Velvet Sky, O.D.B & Taylor

Sojourner Bolt versus Maryse Ouellet

Sojourner Bolt is really off her game tonight but is still able to get the quick win in this one.

Sojourner Bolt defeated Maryse Ouellet in 0:45 by pinfall.

Matt Hardy comes to the ring with a microphone. He says he saw Shawn Michaels debut earlier and defeat Abyss in the process, and thinks that he could do better against the self-proclaimed Showstopper. Before Matt Hardy can say anything else however an unfamiliar music plays and Randy Orton comes to the ring, making his TNA debut. Orton says that luckily for Matt Hardy, he has other plans for Genesis, and so he'll let him take on Shawn Michaels. Matt Hardy asks what it is that makes it Orton's decision whether or not he gets the match or not. Orton says that now he's in TNA, there's a new sherrif in town. Orton says that it's only a matter of time before he gets his hands on the World title, and that he'll be watching tonight's Main Event very closely. Matt Hardy says that this is fine and shakes hands with Randy Orton before leaving the ring, happy that he has his match with Michaels at Genesis. Randy Orton leaves the ring himself not long after and heads to the back.

Rating: B-

 

Matt Sydal comes to the ring with a microphone, he says that he will win the World title tonight in the Main Event. Before Sydal can say anything else he is interrupted by another member of tonight's six-way Main Event for the World title, Jeff Hardy. Hardy gets a microphone of his own from ringside and says that it could be either of them that win the title. Jeff Hardy does mention that unlike Sydal, he is a former World Champion and has main evented numerous Pay-Per-Views before, unlike Matt Sydal. The two shake hands again before leaving the ring together. They will meet again in tonight's Main Event.

TNA Legends Championship: Kevin Nash © versus Andromeda versus Jethro Holliday

Jethro Holliday is really off his game tonight which leads to Kevin Nash having his biggest competition at an immediate disadvantage. Nash retains the title quickly here after pinning Andromeda.

Kevin Nash beat Andromeda and Jethro Holliday in 2:55 when Kevin Nash defeated Andromeda by pinfall with a JackKnife Powerbomb.

Match Rating: D-

 

Angela Fong versus Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is still inexperienced inside the six-sided ring but that should go away by the time she challenges for the Knockouts title at Genesis. She is still able to get the quick victory here over Angela Fong, a more experienced Knockout, in a bad match.

Jennifer Aniston defeated Angela Fong in 1:24 by pinfall.

Michelle McCool versus Angelina Love

Mike Tenay announces at the beginning of this contest that both Michelle McCool and Angelina Love will also challenge Mickie James for the Knockouts title at Genesis next month. Michelle gets the quick victory here.

Michelle McCool defeated Angelina Love in 1:04 by pinfall with a handful of tights.

Match Rating: D-

 

The Bella Twins come to the ring and Brianna takes a microphone and announces that she will take on Morgan Lewis in singles action at Genesis next month. Before the Bellas can say anything else Morgan Lewis runs to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Lewis hits both Bellas with huge clotheslines before Knockouts Champion Mickie James and Awesome Kong run to the ring to make the save. Morgan Lewis bails out of the ring and heads to the back and Awesome Kong takes the microphone from the mat. She turns to Mickie and announces that she will also be in the Knockouts title match at Genesis, which will now consist of Mickie James defending against Awesome Kong, Michelle McCool, Angelina Love and Jennifer Aniston in a five-way match. The Bellas can see that this is none of their business and shake hands with both Kong and Mickie before leaving the ring and heading to the back. Mickie James and Awesome Kong then have a stare-down in the ring before the Champion Mickie eventually heads to the back, leaving Awesome Kong looking dominant and fearful in the ring. Eventually Kong too leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass make their way to the ring together. Charlie Hass takes a microphone from ringside and says that both he and newcomer Brian Jossie are both under-utilised and under appreciated in TNA. They say that they are two cool individuals, and announce that they will be in the Tag Team match at Genesis with one-half of the Tag Team Champions, Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett and the newly formed team of Hurricane and Ron Killings. Hass then passes the microphone to Brian Jossie, who says that at Genesis the pair will dominate and win the match, and that when Brother Ray is finally healthy again, they'll take the Tag Team titles from Team 3D. Jossie says that the pair are greatness personified and that 2009 will be their year. Jossie says he wants everybody to watch Impact next week as they'll show just how dominant they can be when teaming together. Hass and Jossie then shake hands and leave the ring together to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance.

An unfamiliar music blasts around the arena and MMA Superstar Thiago Alves comes to the ring, making his TNA debut. The fans in attendance are clearly shocked at seeing Alves in a six-sided ring. However before he can say anything James Gibson rushes to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Gibson runs at Alves and kicks him in the privates. Gibson then picks Alves up by his head and throws him out of the ring. Gibson goes to ringside and takes a microphone and says that he is fed up of people trying to take his spot. He announces that next month at Genesis he will take on Thiago Alves in singles action. Gibson then hits Alves with the microphone and grabs him to the ramp-way. Gibson continues to pound Alves with right hands to the skull, soon busting him open. The fans are appalled by what they are seeing as Gibson picks Alves up and throws him off of the ramp-way and onto the concrete floor below. Gibson then picks up the microphone again and says that this isn't over, as his partner Kid Kash hasn't even got involved yet. Gibson smiles before heading to the back, leaving Alves in a bloody mess.

James Storm versus Jesse Neal

Mike Tenay announces at the beginning of this contest that Jesse Neal will be in action at next month's Pay-Per-View, Genesis, when he faces Charlie Hunnam in singles action. Storm gets the quick win here after interference from Robert Roode.

James Storm defeated Jesse Neal in 1:15 by pinfall with a Top Rope Bulldog following interference from Robert Roode.

Match Rating: D-

 

Jennifer Lopez comes to the ring, making her TNA debut. Before she can say anything though she is soon interrupted by Ayako Hamada, who comes to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Hamada takes a microphone from ringside and announces that Lopez's first TNA Pay-Per-View match will be against her next month at Genesis. Hamada then kicks Lopez in the gut before throwing her out of the ring. Hamada then leaves the ring and heads to the back, leaving Lopez visibly hurt on the floor.

John Hennigan versus Jimmy Shaker

Mike Tenay announces that the winner of this match will go onto Genesis to take on Ted DiBiase Jr. Hennigan gets this pleasure after dominating a short match, with a great performance from Hennigan in particular.

John Hennigan defeated Jimmy Shaker in 1:28 by pinfall with a Corkscrew Neckbreaker.

Match Rating: D

 

Thiago Alves returns to the ring after being attacked by Gibson earlier. Alves takes a microphone and demands Gibson to show his face. Gibson does return to the ring, but he is not alone. Gibson enters the ring with his Bulldogs tag team partner Kid Kash to a huge chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. The Bulldogs quickly knock Alves to the mat and stomp on him for several minutes before leaving the ring and heading to the back, leaving it uncertain whether or not Alves will make it to his match with James Gibson at Genesis.

Rating: F

 

Rhino versus KIYOSHI

Mike Tenay announces at the beginning of this match that the winner will go on to challenge for Homicide's X Division Championship next month at Genesis, along with Shane Sewell and Cute Kip. Rhino gets the quick win here and the title match at Genesis.

Rhino defeated Kiyoshi in 0:33 by pinfall with a handful of tights.

Match Rating: D+

 

Rob Terry comes to the ring with a microphone to a huge chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Terry announces that he will be challenging for the World title along with Kofi Kingston next month at Genesis. He says he knows he has support from the British Invasion, but wants to know if he has support from anyone else in his challenge for the title. The lights then go out and when they come back on Suicide is in the ring. Suicide shakes hands with Rob Terry and the pair then leave the ring together.

Rating: E

 

Samoa Joe versus Shark Boy

Mike Tenay announces during this contest that Shark Boy will face Jethro Holliday next month at Genesis. Shark Boy is unsuccessful in this match however as the power of Joe is too strong, leading to Joe getting the quick victory.

Samoa Joe defeated Shark Boy in 1:15 by pinfall with a Muscle Buster.

Match Rating: D

 

Tae Yang and his tag team partner The Miz come to the ring to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. The Miz takes a microphone and announces that he will also be challenging for the Legends title at Genesis, but that this isn't why the pair are out here. Miz then passes the microphone to Yang who says that he will be taking on Soccer Star Ze Roberto at Genesis, and that he will crush him. The pair then shake hands before leaving the ring together.

Rating: E-

 

Amazing Red versus Tetsuya Naito

Tetsuya Naito is really off his game tonight which leads to Amazing Red getting the quick victory after Naito's No Limit partner Yujiro accidently hits him whilst trying to go after Red.

Amazing Red defeated Tetsuya Naito in 0:38 by pinfall with a Code Red. During the match we also had Yujiro accidentally hit Naito.

Match Rating: E+

 

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Kurt Angle © versus Brock Lesnar versus Jeff Hardy versus Matt Sydal versus CM Punk versus Tommy Dreamer

Mike Tenay notes that the winner of this match will go onto Genesis next month to defend the title against both Kofi Kingston and Rob Terry in a three-way match. Angle pins Sydal here to retain the title.

Kurt Angle beat Brock Lesnar, Jeff Hardy, Matt Sydal, CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer in 5:30 when Kurt Angle defeated Matt Sydal by pinfall.

Match Rating: C

 

 

Final Rating: D+

 

This show might have actually hurt our popularity overall and unfortunately the Main Event of Genesis doesn't look as star-studded at this point in time. It will be interesting to see how Rob Terry does in the main event scene in the upcoming weeks.

Abyss soon joins Red in the ring and snatches the microphone from Red's hand. Abyss says that he is hardcore, and he is a monster. He tells Red that he doesn't need friends. Abyss says that he will destroy Amazing Red at Genesis on the way to becoming Champion again. Abyss says that he is in charge of their relationship, and he always has been. He says that he had the power all along, and it was only a matter of time before he chose to use it and drop the dead weight he was carrying in the form of Amazing Red. Abyss then leaves the ring and heads to the back leaving Amazing Red visibly upset and clearly not looking forward to their match at Genesis.</em></p><p>

Andromeda then takes a microphone and says that he will still be busy at Genesis, as he'll face him in one-on-one action. Andromeda then throws the microphone to the mat and leaves the ring with Postl clearly hurt on the floor.</em></p><p>

Before long Sharmell comes to the ring, she snatches the microphone from Angelina and announces that she herself will be the final participant in the Knockouts title match at Genesis. She then kicks both Angelina Love and Jennifer Aniston in the knees and continues to stomp them before Knockouts Champion Mickie James and former Champion Awesome Kong rush to the ring to make the save, and Sharmell quickly bails out of the ring and heads to the back smiling to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance, leaving Mickie and Kong to help their friends to their feet.</em></p><p>

Morgan Lewis is still very inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time she faces Brianna Bella in singles action at Genesis. Morgan does win this match for her team however, after she pins Jennifer Lopez.</p><p>

Lesnar simply laughs off the challenge, but accepts the match. Lesnar says he has nothing better to do at Genesis. Ray Gordy then heads to the back happy he has what he wanted, whilst Lesnar and Guerrero shake hands before they too leave the ring together.</em></p><p>

Last night's house show made a successful $8,920 for the company, with profit being made.

 

Last night's airing of TNA Impact on Sun Sports drew a 0.14 rating, not a bad number for such a small network.

 

Last night's airing of TNA Impact on Bravo in the UK however drew a low 0.01 rating.

 

The TNA contract of Chrisy Hemme is up for renewal, and she can now be contacted with contract offers.

 

The TNA contract of Dr. Stevie is up for renewal, and he can also now be contacted with contract offers.

 

Jack Swagger has left the WWE due to contract expiry. He had recently been teaming with MVP on the SmackDown! brand.

Last night's TNA House Show made a successful and profitable $9,680 for the company.

 

Last night's airing of TNA Impact on Bravo 2 in the UK unfortunately drew a low 0.01 rating.

 

In even worse ratings news, last night's airing of Impact on FOX8 drew a low 0.00 rating.

 

John Hennigan has signed a Pay-Per-Appearance deal with ROH. At Genesis Hennigan will face Ted DiBiase Jr. in a Hardcore match.

 

No Limit member Yujiro has rejected TNA's offer to renew his contract as he has signed a written deal with NJPW.

 

Unfortunately TNA World Champion Kurt Angle does not want to renew his deal with the company and will be out by the end of the week. What this means for the World Championship and Angle's scheduled title defence at Genesis is unknown at this point.

No Limit star Yujiro will be leaving the company tomorrow, and tonight's Impact tapings will be his last appearance in TNA.

Sharmell comes to the ring with a microphone and says that she hopes to win the Knockouts title for the first time at Genesis in the six-way match. However before Sharmell can say anything else Angela Fong rushes to the ring with a steel chair. She smacks Sharmell in the back with the chair before picking up the microphone and saying it's unfair that Sharmell was selected to compete for the Knockouts title but she wasn't. She then leaves the ring and heads to the back, leaving Sharmell writhing in pain.

Angelina Love versus Ayako Hamada

Knockouts Champion Mickie James comes to ringside for this match to scout one of her opponents at Genesis, Angelina Love. Angelina Love gets the quick win in this one heading into the title bout at Genesis.

Angelina Love beat Ayako Hamada in 1:09 by pinfall with a Lights Out.

Kofi Kingston comes to the ring with a microphone and says that he will win the World title in the five-way match in the main event of Genesis. Before Kingston can say anything else Austin Aries comes to the entrance-way with a microphone. Aries says that it will be him that wins his first title in TNA at Genesis, and that Kingston might not even make it to Genesis, as he has to face World Champion Kurt Angle in the main event tonight. Aries smiles before heading to the back, and Kofi Kingston looks a bit nervous about having to face Kurt Angle in tonight's main event. Aries then heads to the back and Kingston plays to the crowd before heading to the back himself in preparation for tonight's main event.

Awesome Kong versus Morgan Lewis

Morgan Lewis is still inexperienced in the six-sided ring, but that should go away by the time she faces Brianna Bella at Genesis. However, she is still able to get the quick upset victory in this one.

Melanie Lynskey comes to the ring to host a bikini contest between her partner at Genesis, Maria Kanellis, and one of her opponents at Genesis, Bianca Beauchamp. Maria and Bianca both strut their stuff, and Melanie Lynskey decides to giver her partner Maria Kanellis the win. At Genesis Maria and Melanie Lysnkey will take on the team of Bianca Beauchamp and her partner Jacqueline Moore. Beauchamp looks frustrated with the loss and angrily heads to the back, leaving Maria and Melanie to celebrate in the ring, before heading to the back themselves.

Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett versus Booker T and Scott Steiner

Brother Devon is really off his game tonight which leads to Booker T pinning Jeff Jarrett to give the Main Event Mafia the victory and momentum heading into the Hardcore four-way tag team match at Genesis.

Main Event Mafia beat Black and White in 1:34.

Brett and Brian Major, collectively known as the Major Brothers, come to the ring together. Brian takes a microphone and says that it won't be long before they dominate TNA together, before they shake hands and leave the ring as a unit.

Hurricane & Ron Killings versus Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass

Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass don't work very well together as a team, which is unfortunate as they will be teaming together in the four-way tag team Hardcore match at Genesis. Their inexperience as a team leads to Hurricane pinning Brian Jossie to give his team all important momentum heading into Genesis.

Rob Terry comes to the ring with the other two members of the British Invasion and promises that he will win the World title at Genesis in the five-way main event. He then throws the microphone to the mat, shakes hands with Doug Williams and Brutus Magnus, before the trio leave the ring together and head to the back.

Jesse Neal and Carlito Colon vs Charlie Hunnam and Sheik Abdul Bashir

Sheik Abdul Bashir is really off his game tonight which leads to his team losing this match after Carlito Colon pins Charlie Hunnam.

Cody Rhodes comes to the ring with a microphone, and says that although Charlie Sheen was victorious against Abyss earlier, he won't be victorious against Cody Rhodes at Genesis. Cody says he is a real wrestler, not some hardcore garbage. Cody then throws the microphone to the mat before leaving the ring.

Chavo Guerrero Jr versus Chris Harris

Mike Tenay notes that Chavo has been dominant since coming to TNA and continues his winning ways here with a quick win.

Chris Jericho comes to the ring and says that he will win the World title in the five-way main event at Genesis. Before he can say anything else, however, Paul Wight comes to the ring. He snatches the microphone from Jericho and says that it will no longer be a five-way match, as the Largest Athlete in the World has just been added. It will now be Kurt Angle defending in a six-way match with Kofi Kingston, Rob Terry, Austin Aries, Chris Jericho and Paul Wight. Jericho and Wight still shake hands before leaving the ring together.

CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer versus Cody Deaner and Daniels

Sharmell comes to ringside with former World Champions CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer for this match, apparently scouting the pair for a future role in the Main Event Mafia. Punk and Dreamer get the win with Sharmell at ringside after CM Punk makes Cody Deaner tap out.

CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer beat Deaner and Daniels in 1:38.

Lisa Marie Varon comes to the ring with a microphone, however before she can say anything else Beautiful People members Cute Kip and Madison Rayne rush to the ring. Cute Kip holds Varon's arms behind her back whilst Madison Rayne slaps her in the face. Kip and Madison then throw Varon to the mat below before hugging and leaving the ring together, with Lisa Marie Varon down and hurt.

Finlay and Marshall Mathers versus Cristiano Ronaldo and David Villa

Marshall Mathers is still green and inexperienced in the six-sided ring, but his team after still able to get the victory here using the experience of Finlay as he pins David Villa to give his team the win.

Maryse mocks Nicole Bella, calling her and her Sister losers before heading to the back to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance, leaving Nicole visibly upset.

Shawn Michaels and Matt Morgan don't work very well as a team, but are still able to get the victory here after Matt Morgan pins Typhoon.

Lethal Consequences versus Jeff Hardy and Matt Sydal

Mike Tenay notes during this match that Jeff Hardy and Matt Sydal will team up again at Genesis to take on the team of Randy Orton and Paul Bearer. Jeff and Sydal get the quick victory here and momentum heading into Genesis after Jeff Hardy pins Consequences Creed.

Jeff Hardy returns to the ring and says that he thinks he and Matt Sydal can defeat Randy Orton and Paul Bearer at Genesis. However before Jeff can say anything else Randy Orton comes to the ring with a microphone of his own. He says that Paul Bearer used to be a funeral director, and that at Genesis Paul Bearer and himself, Randy Orton, will end the career of Jeff Hardy. Orton then strikes Jeff with an RKO before smiling and heading to the back, leaving Jeff visibly hurt in the ring.

Non-Title: Homicide versus Rhino

Mike Tenay notes during this contest that Rhino is one of the five challengers to Homicide's X Division title at Genesis. Rhino gets the quick win here following interference from another challenger at Genesis, Cute Kip.

Robert Roode and James Storm, collectively known as Beer Money, come to the ring. Robert Roode takes a microphone and says that it won't be long before Beer Money dominate TNA once again. Rocco versus Eddie Colon

Rocco and Eddie Colon just don't click at all, and unfortunately it shows in their respective performances here. Eddie Colon gets the quick victory here after Rocco is distracted by his former tag team partner, Sal.

Thiago Alves is still green and inexperienced in the six-sided wrestling ring, but that should go away by the time he faces James Gibson at Genesis. He and Joe are still able to get the win here, however, after Samoa Joe pins Kid Kash.

Seth Green comes to the ring, and says that as he is not very experienced he has employed two people to look after him until he gets better in the ring. He then brings out these individuals, and Eric Young and Jack Korpela make their way to the ring to a mixed reception from the fans in attendance. Seth shakes both Eric and Korpela's hands before the trio leave the ring together.

The fans are still remarkably uninterested by Shane Sewell in his wrestling run in TNA. He gets the quick win here following interference from his tag team partner Shark Boy.

Sojourner Bolt and Taylor Wilde come to the ring together. Taylor Wilde takes a microphone and says that the pair are a little disappointed that they're not wrestling at Genesis. However before she can say anything else Ayako Hamada rushes to the ring. She snatches the microphone from Taylor and says that she will destroy Jennifer Lopez at Genesis, and was merely unlucky against Angelina Love earlier. Hamada then hits Taylor Wilde in the skull with the microphone and then clotheslines Sojourner Bolt to the mat. Hamada then leaves the ring, with Taylor and Sojourner Bolt clearly in pain on the mat.

KIYOSHI and John Hennigan versus Jimmy Shaker and Ted DiBiase Jr.

Protege of Kurt Angle Jimmy Shaker is really off his game tonight but Ted DiBiase Jr helps him and his team are still able to get the win here after Shaker himself pins KIYOSHI.

Ted Dibiase Jr. and Jimmy Shaker defeated John Hennigan and Kiyoshi in 2:25 when Jimmy Shaker defeated Kiyoshi by pinfall.

The X Division Champion Homicide comes to the ring. He says that it wasn't fair that he lost the match to Rhino earlier, and that at Genesis he will beat five other men and retain his title again. Before he can say anything else the lights go off, and when they come back on Homicide is down on the mat. Suicide is seen standing in the ring holding the Championship. He throws the title back onto the prone body of Homicide before leaving the ring and heading to the back, with Homicide clearly hurt before his title defence at Genesis.

Tetsuya Naito versus Ze Roberto

Ze Roberto seems off his game tonight and is unable to build any momentum in this short match. He ultimately loses after interference from his Genesis opponent, Tae Yang.

Tetsuya Naito defeated Ze Roberto in 1:19 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Bomb following interference from Tae Yang.

AJ Styles comes to the ring with a microphone and says that it's great to be in the United Kingdom. Before he can say anything else however the Legends Champion Kevin Nash and The Miz rush to the ring and attack AJ Styles, beating him down to the mat below. The fans heavily boo the Legends Champion Nash as he plays to the crowd, before Bobby Lashley rushes to the ring and makes the save. Nash and Miz head to the back whilst Lashley helps his friend and tag team partner earlier to his feet, before AJ and Lashley shake hands and leave the ring together.

Amazing Red versus Yujiro

Mike Tenay notes during this contest that Amazing Red will take on his former tag team partner Abyss at Genesis. Abyss comes to the ring in the latter parts of this match and tries to hit Red, but Red ducks and Abyss strikes Yujiro. Amazing Red then pins Yujiro to get the win.

Amazing Red defeated Yujiro in 0:42 by pinfall with a Code Red. During the match we also had Abyss accidentally hit Yujiro.

Non-Title: Kurt Angle versus Kofi Kingston

Jim Cornette joins Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for this match and announces that the main event of Genesis for the World title will now be a Hardcore match. Angle gets the quick win in this one due to a surprise distraction from Consequences Creed.

Kurt Angle defeated Kofi Kingston in 2:23 by pinfall with an Angle Slam following interference from Consequences Creed.

All four of these men, along with The Miz, will challenge for Kevin Nash's Legends title at Genesis. What team will be victorious here?

 

Finlay and Dylan Postl versus Cristiano Ronaldo and Andromeda

At Genesis Finlay will take on Cristiano Ronaldo and his son Postl will face Andromeda. Who will build momentum before Genesis?

 

Michelle McCool versus Angelina Love

Both of these Knockouts will compete in the six-way match for Mickie James' Knockouts title at Genesis, but first they'll meet one-on-one.

 

Ayako Hamada and Morgan Lewis versus Jennifer Lopez & Brianna Bella

Genesis will see Hamada face Lopez and Morgan Lewis take on Brianna Bella. Which pair of Knockouts will win on the first Impact of 2010?

 

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Kofi Kingston verus Tyson Kidd

Newcomer Kidd will face Kofi Kingston to declare the new Champion after Kurt Angle suddenly left the company. The winner will defend against five other men at Genesis.

Abyss versus BG James

BG James is visibly tiring towards the end of this match but is still able to get the hard-fought victory in his first match back from injury.

BG James defeated Abyss in 18:26 by pinfall with a Dogg Pound.

Match Rating: D-

 

Following the conclusion of the match Abyss' opponent at Genesis, Amazing Red, comes to the ring. He takes a microphone and says that he truly is sorry that Abyss lost, and just wants to be friends again. Abyss snatches the microphone and tells Red that they will never be friends again. Abyss then leaves the ring with Amazing Red looking for sympathy from the fans in attendance, who give him a lukewarm reaction, as they are not entirely interested in feeling sorry for him. Red eventually gives up and leaves the ring himself before heading to the back alone.

Jim Cornette joins Mike Tenay and Don West on ringside for this tag team match and announces that the six-way match for the Legends title at Genesis will now be contested under Hardcore rules. AJ and Lashley get the quick win here after Styles pins Harry Smith.

AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley defeated Dr. Stevie and Harry Smith in 2:07 when AJ Styles defeated Harry Smith by pinfall with a Styles Clash.

The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, come to the ring together. Alex Shelley takes a microphone and guarantees that at Genesis the X Division Championship will become property of the Motor City Machine Guns once again. He then passes the microphone to Sabin who says they are both former Champions, and it doesn't matter what one of them leaves with the title, as long as it's in their hands. The two then high-five before leaving the ring together to jeers from the fans in attendance.

Finlay and Dylan Postl versus Cristiano Ronaldo and Andromeda

Cristiano Ronaldo is still very inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but that should go away by the time he faces Finlay one-on-one at Genesis. Ronaldo's inexperience leads to Finlay and his son getting the victory here after Finlay pins Andromeda.

Irish Family defeated Cristiano Ronaldo and Andromeda in 2:28 when Finlay defeated Andromeda by pinfall with a Celtic Cross.

Lisa Marie Varon comes to the ring with a microphone and says that despite being attacked by Madison Rayne and Cute Kip of the Beautiful People for the last two weeks, she is feeling much better now. However before she can say anything else Angela Fong comes to the ring. Angela Fong hits Varon in the head before throwing her out of the ring. Pleased with herself, Angela Fong then heads to the back, leaving Varon clearly hurt.

Michelle McCool versus Angelina Love

Angelina Love is really off her game tonight and is struggling enough as it is in this contest before Awesome Kong comes to ringside attempting to attack McCool, who ducks, leaving Angelina to actually get knocked to the mat below. McCool then hits the Fallen Angel followed by the pinfall to pick up the win.

Michelle McCool defeated Angelina Love in 0:53 by pinfall with a Fallen Angel following botched interference by Awesome Kong.

Austin Aries comes to the ring with a microphone and says that despite there being no World Champion until tonight's main event, the six-way match at Genesis will go ahead as planned with a newcomer replacing Kurt Angle, who would debut later tonight. Rob Terry then comes to the entrance-way and says that he doesn't care who's in the match at Genesis, he'd be leaving the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Ayako Hamada and Morgan Lewis versus Jennifer Lopez and Brianna Bella

Morgan Lewis is still extremely inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time she faces Brianna Bella at Genesis. She is still able to get the win in this match, however, after she pins Brianna Bella.

Ayako Hamada and Morgan Lewis defeated Jennifer Lopez and Brianna Bella in 2:23 when Morgan Lewis defeated Brianna Bella by pinfall.

BG James is seen backstage getting out of the shower. He puts his clothes on, clearly happy with himself after beating Abyss in tonight's opening match. BG had previously been injured for several months, and tonight was his return. BG goes to the sink and washes his face, but clearly looks tired after wrestling a near twenty minute match earlier.

Maria Kanellis versus Bianca Beauchamp

Bianca Beauchamp is still inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but that should go away by the time she teams with Jacqueline Moore at Genesis to take on Maria Kanellis and Melanie Lynskey. This, and a distraction from Melanie Lynskey, allows Maria to get the quick victory here.

Maria Kanellis defeated Bianca Beauchamp in 1:29 by pinfall with a Running Bulldog. During the match we also had Melanie Lynskey distract Beauchamp.

Booker T and Scott Steiner come to the ring and Booker T soon takes a microphone from ringside. Booker T promises that he and Steiner will represent the Main Event Mafia successfully at Genesis in the four-way tag team match, and proclaims himself as the new Main Event mafia leader due to Kurt Angle's sudden departure from the company. Booker then throws the microphone to the mat, and the pair shake hands before leaving the ring together.

Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett versus The Major Brothers

Brett Major is really off his game tonight which leads to he and his Brother Brian losing quickly to Jeff Jarrett and one-half of the tag team Champions Brother Devon. Devon pins Brian Major after a double-team effort to give his team the victory.

Black and White defeated The Major Brothers in 2:23 when Brother Devon defeated Brian Major by pinfall with a Stroke.

Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass come to the ring. Charlie Hass takes a microphone from ringside and says that he is going to dedicate he and Brian Jossie's victory at Genesis to his Brother, Russ, who unfortunately died years ago. He says he's heard the rumours about all of the new "Superstars" coming to TNA but he doesn't care. He says he wants to leave a legacy in this business, a tag team legacy, and he thinks that Brian Jossie is the best person to do this with. Hass then hands the microphone to Brian Jossie, who says that he would like to echo everything that Charlie just said. The pair then leave the ring together.

Brock Lesnar and Sheik Abdul Bashir versus Ray Gordy and Carlito Colon

Jim Cornette once again joins Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for this bout. He announces that the match between Brock Lesnar and Ray Gordy at Genesis will now be contested under Hardcore rules. Lesnar and Bashir get the quick victory here after Lesnar pins Carlito.

Brock Lesnar and Sheik Abdul Bashir defeated Ray Gordy and Carlito Colon in 2:09 when Brock Lesnar defeated Carlito Colon by pinfall with a Verdict.

Match Rating: D+

 

CM Punk comes to the ring, but before he can say anything the British Invasion of Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams come to the entrance-way. Brutus Magnus has a microphone and announces that they will team up at Genesis to take on CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer. Punk says that he doesn't care, he and Dreamer are best friends and that they will destroy the British Invasion at Genesis. Magnus and Williams have clearly heard enough as they head to the back, leaving Punk alone in the ring looking very confident.

Jesse Neal and Charlie Sheen versus Charlie Hunnam and Cody Rhodes

Charlie Hunnam is still green and inexperienced inside the six-sided ring, but that should go away by the time he faces Jesse Neal one-on-one at Genesis. Hunnam's inexperience costs his team this match, as Sheen pins Hunnam for the victory.

Jesse Neal and Charlie Sheen defeated Charlie Hunnam and Cody Rhodes in 1:40 when Charlie Sheen defeated Charlie Hunnam by pinfall.

David Villa comes to the ring, but before he can say anything he is interrupted by Chavo Guerrero. Guerrero tells Villa that with all due respect, he should let the wrestlers do the talking. Chavo announces that next week on Impact he will have to face Chris Harris again, as despite Chavo beating him last week, Chris Harris is still complaining. Chavo then heads to the back leaving David Villa confused as to why he was interrupted so quickly.

Chris Jericho and Paul Wight versus Hurricane and Ron "The Truth" Killings

Mike Tenay notes that although Paul Wight and Chris Jericho are teaming tonight, they will be opponents at Genesis as they compete for the World title in this six-way main event. Jericho and Wight still get the quick win here however after Jericho forces Hurricane to tap out.

Chris Jericho and Paul Wight beat Hurricane and Ron 'The Truth' Killings in 2:14 when Chris Jericho defeated Hurricane by submission

Daniels and Deaner come to the ring with Sharmell. Deaner takes a microphone and says that they will help Sharmell win the Knockouts title at Genesis, and in return Sharmell will grant them both spots in the Main Event Mafia. Daniels then takes a microphone and says that he is more sceptical, but he'll go along with the plan for now. Sharmell just smiles as the trio shake hands before all leaving the ring together.

Lethal Consequences versus Jeff Hardy and Matt Sydal

Mike Tenay notes that Hardy and Sydal were victorious in this match last week and Lethal Consequences asked for a rematch. Unfortunately for Lethal and Creed, they suffer the same fate again as Matt Sydal pins Consequences Creed to give his team the win heading into Genesis.

Jeff Hardy and Matt Sydal defeated Lethal Consequences in 2:23 when Matt Sydal defeated Consequences Creed by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press.

The X Division Champion Homicide comes to the ring with a microphone and says it's unfair that he has to defend his title against alot of big guys at Genesis but he'll still be successful. He is soon interrupted by one of his five challengers, Cute Kip. Cute Kip says that he will walk away from Genesis with the X Division title, before heading to the back. Homicide looks scared in the ring before eventually leaving himself.

Eddie Colon and Thiago Alvez versus James Gibson and Kid Kash

Thiago Alvez is still inexperienced inside the six-sided wrestling ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time he faces James Gibson one-on-one at Genesis. Alves and his partner are victorious in this match however as Eddie Colon pins Kid Kash to give his team the win.

Eddie Colon and Thiago Alves defeated Bulldogs in 2:25 when Eddie Colon defeated Kid Kash by pinfall with a Cannonball Twister.

Jack Korpela comes to the ring and says he is proud to be competing in TNA. However from out of nowhere Eric Young soon rushes to the ring and attacks his former friend. Eric Young hits a Death-Valley Driver in Korpela, before taking a microphone and saying that he's fed up of being held back in TNA as the fans in attendance boo. Eric Young then angrily heads to the back, leaving Korpela down and visibly hurt alone in the ring.

Shark Boy and Typhoon versus Jethro Holliday and John Cena

Typhoon is still exceptionally rusty in the ring, due to not reguarly wrestling for over ten years before returning to the ring in TNA. This leads to Jethro Holliday pinning Shark Boy to win the match for his team in Cena's TNA debut.

Jethro Holliday and John Cena defeated Shark Boy and Fred Ottman in 1:36 when Jethro Holliday defeated Shark Boy by pinfall.

Kofi Kingston comes out before the main event for the vacant World title. However before he can say anything to the fans in attendance he is viciously attacked by the debuting Jake Hager. Hager rushes to the ring and hits Kingston with a huge Gutwrench Powerbomb. Hager then tells Kingston that he has no chance of winning the World title tonight, before heading to the back, leaving Kingston hurt.

Beer Money, Inc. versus KIYOSHI and Marshall Mathers

Marshall Mathers is still very inexperienced in the six-sided ring, but is still able to get the victory for his team in this one after he pins James Storm in a quick contest.

Kiyoshi and Marshall Mathers defeated Beer Money, Inc. in 2:24 when Marshall Mathers defeated James Storm by pinfall.

Jennifer Aniston comes to the ring but before she can say anything else she is embarrassed by Beautiful People member Madison Rayne. For a few moments Rayne simply stands in the ring and laughs at Aniston. Rayne then pokes Aniston in the eyes so that she can't see, before pushing her to the mat below. Rayne takes a microphone and says it's unfair that Aniston has a title shot at Genesis but she doesn't. Rayne then heads to the back, leaving Aniston unable to stand or see alone in the ring.

John Hennigan and Matt Morgan versus Ted DiBiase Jr. and Jimmy Shaker

Jim Cornette once again joins Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for this bout and announces that the winner of DiBiase and Hennigan at Genesis will get an X Division title shot at Against All Odds. Hennigan and Morgan get the win here after Morgan pins Jimmy Shaker in a short match.

John Hennigan and Matt Morgan defeated Ted Dibiase Jr. and Jimmy Shaker in 2:24 when Matt Morgan defeated Jimmy Shaker by pinfall with a F-5.

The Legends Champion Kevin Nash comes to the ring to discuss his title defence at Genesis but is soon attacked from behind by one of his five challengers, The Miz. The Miz kicks Nash whilst he's down as the fans in attendance shower The Miz in boos and jeers, showing sympathy towards the veteran Champion. Miz then leaves the ring as the fans cheer for Nash, who eventually gets to his feet and heads to the back himself.

O.D.B. and Sojourner Bolt versus Velvet Sky and Maryse Ouellet

Maryse Ouellet seems really off her game tonight which allows O.D.B. to comfortably pin her in a short Knockouts tag team match to get the victory for her team.

O.D.B. and Sojourner Bolt defeated Maryse Ouellet and Velvet Sky in 1:54 when O.D.B. defeated Maryse Ouellet by pinfall with The Dirty Dozen.

Shawn Michaels and Sal versus Matt Hardy and Rocco

Jim Cornette once again joins Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for this match and announces that the contest between Shawn Michaels and Matt Hardy at Genesis will now be contested under Hardcore rules. Michaels gets the win for his team in this one after pinning Rocco.

Shawn Michaels and Sal defeated Matt Hardy and Rocco in 2:26 when Shawn Michaels defeated Rocco by pinfall with a Sweet Chin Music.

Brianna Bella and her twin Sister Nicole Bella come to the ring. Brianna Bella says that she hopes to beat Morgan Lewis at Genesis, but at the moment would like to bring out two people who have made the Bellas feel very welcome since coming to TNA. First she brings out the Knockouts Champion Mickie James, and then she brings out Taylor Wilde. The four Knockouts hug before leaving the ring together.

Samoa Joe and Seth Green versus Randy Orton and Paul Bearer

Seth Green is still green and inexperienced inside the ring, but hopefully that should go away with time. Green's inexperience leads to his team losing this match after Paul Bearer pins Samoa Joe to win the match for his team and build momentum heading into Genesis.

Randy Orton and Paul Bearer defeated Samoa Joe and Seth Green in 1:47 when Paul Bearer defeated Samoa Joe by pinfall.

The X Division Champion Homicide returns to the ring. He says he is a fighting Champion and didn't deserve to be disrespected by Cute Kip earlier. Rhino soon comes to the ring, and says that Cute Kip was wrong earlier, he won't win the X Division title at Genesis. Rhino says that he is a former World Champion, and will easily beat five other men to win the X Division title at Genesis. Rhino then laughs and heads to the back, before an embarrassed Homicide eventually does the same.

Ze Roberto comes to the ring to talk about his match with Tae Yang at Genesis. Before Roberto can say anything, however, the lights go out. When they come back on Roberto is being attacked by Tae Yang, Suicide and Tetsuya Naito in the ring. Soon Roberto is saved by Shane Sewell. Sewell shockingly rushes to the ring and Yang, Naito and Suicide all bail. The attackers head to the back and Sewell helps Roberto to his feet, before the two shake hands and ultimately leave the ring together themselves.

Brutus Magnus versus Tommy Dreamer

Jim Cornette once again joins Mike Tenay and Don West on commentary for this bout. He announces that the tag team match between the British Invasion and Punk & Dreamer at Genesis will now be contested under Hardcore rules. Magnus literally steals a victory in this short match.

Brutus Magnus defeated Tommy Dreamer in 2:24 by pinfall by using underhanded tactics.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Kofi Kingston versus Tyson Kidd

This match is too long considering who is involved, as this is Tyson Kidd's first match in TNA and his first wrestling match in several months. Kingston gets the hard-fought victory and the chance to defend the World title at Genesis.

Kofi Kingston defeated Tyson Kidd in 8:05 by pinfall with a Trouble in Paradise. Kofi Kingston wins the TNA World Heavyweight title.

The TNA contract of James Storm is up for renewal, and he can now be contacted with contract offers.

 

TNA Knockout O.D.B. has now left JAPW and is now working exclusively for TNA.

 

NJPW have made an offer to Michael Cole, whom they want to commentate on their English broadcasts.

 

TNA are trying to bring back former World Champion Kurt Angle, but it's said that he wants a break from wrestling to get personal affairs in order.

 

TNA has re-hired a former Knockouts and Womens Champion to a deal. She will re-debut at Genesis.

Matt Hardy versus Amazing Red

Amazing Red looks focus at the beginning of this match as he looks towards his challenging adventure at Genesis as he takes on former partner Abyss. Matt Hardy eventually gets the cheap victory in this one though.

Matt Hardy beat Amazing Red in 18:29 by pinfall

Match Rating: C-

 

At the conclusion of the match Abyss comes to the entrance-way with a microphone. He says that Amazing Red was never anything special, and that Abyss will destroy him at Genesis. Abyss then laughs before heading to the back, leaving Amazing Red distraught alone in the ring.

AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley versus Dr. Stevie and Harry Smith

Harry Smith is really off his game tonight which allows Styles to pin him to give his team the victory.

AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley beat Dr. Stevie and Harry Smith in 1:49.

The Motor City Machine Guns, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, come to the ring. Shelley takes a microphone from ringside and promises that either he or Sabin will leave Genesis with the X Division title. The pair then high-five before leaving the ring together.

Finlay and Dylan Postl versus Andromeda and Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo is still very green and inexperienced in the six-sided ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time he faces Finlay one-on-one at Genesis. Ronaldo's inexperience costs him this match as Finlay pins him to get the win for his team.

Irish Family defeated Andromeda and Cristiano Ronaldo in 2:23 when Finlay defeated Cristiano Ronaldo by pinfall with a Celtic Cross.

Lisa Marie Varon comes to the ring but before she can say anything is attacked from behind by Angela Fong. Angela Fong drags Varon by the hair outside of the ring and to the entrance-way. Varon is eventually dragged backstage by Fong where Varon hits her with right hands before throwing her to the concrete floor. Angela Fong then kicks Varon once more whilst she is down before leaving the area, with Varon clearly in pain on the floor.

Michelle McCool versus Awesome Kong

Mike Tenay notes at the beginning of this contest that both of these Knockouts will be in the six-way Hardcore match for Mickie James' Knockouts title at Genesis. McCool gets the quick victory in this one after Angelina Love tries to hit her but accidently gets Kong instead. McCool then hits her finisher for the win.

Michelle McCool defeated Awesome Kong in 1:29 by pinfall with a Fallen Angel following botched interference by Angelina Love.

Match Rating: D+

 

Austin Aries comes to the ring and says that at Genesis he will win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He says that it is what he has lived for, as long as he remember he's considered it the only thing important in life. He is soon interrupted by Chris Jericho. Jericho simply runs to the ring and says that he will win the World title at Genesis. The two look as though they are about to brawl but both think better of it and individually head to the back.

Ayako Hamada and Morgan Lewis versus Jennifer Lopez and Brianna Bella

Morgan Lewis is still very inexperienced in the six-sided wrestling ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time she faces Brianna Bella one-on-one at Genesis. Lewis' inexperience costs her team this match as Brianna Bella pins Lewis to get the victory.

Jennifer Lopez and Brianna Bella defeated Ayako Hamada and Morgan Lewis in 1:35 when Brianna Bella defeated Morgan Lewis by pinfall.

Match Rating: D-

 

BG James comes to the ring. He says that unfortunately he will not be wrestling at Genesis, but looks forward to several of the matches. James says that he's particuarly looking forward to the World title match, and the four-way Hardcore tag team match. BG James also says that he hopes his friend Kevin Nash can retain the Legends title at Genesis, before BG leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Maria Kanellis versus Bianca Beauchamp

Bianca Beauchamp is still inexperienced in the ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time she teams with Jacqueline Moore at Genesis to take on Maria Kanellis and Melanie Lynskey. Maria gets the quick win here after a distraction from her partner Melanie Lynskey.

Maria Kanellis defeated Bianca Beauchamp in 0:48 by pinfall with a Running Bulldog. During the match we also had Melanie Lynskey distract Beauchamp.

Randy Orton comes to the ring and says that at Genesis he and Paul Bearer will dominate Jeff Hardy and Matt Sydal in tag team action. Randy Orton then says that first he would like to introduce the most influential man in his life, and a new member of the TNA roster. Orton's Father, Bob Orton, then comes to the ring. Orton shakes his Father's hand before they both leave the ring together and head to the back.

Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett versus Booker T and Scott Steiner

Brother Devon does not get much of a response from the crowd as he makes his entrance, which is unfortunate for one-half of the Tag Team Champions. His team also lose this match after Booker T pins Jeff Jarrett.

Main Event Mafia defeated Black and White in 1:35 when Booker T defeated Jeff Jarrett by pinfall with a Scissors Kick.

Match Rating: C-

 

The Major Brothers come to the ring to an impressive amount of pyrotechnics at the entrance-way. Brian Major takes a microphone from the announce table and brings it into the ring. He says they all saw the fireworks, and that they are a big deal. Brian Major says that they have had too many blocks since coming to TNA, and he promises that when Brother Ray is healthy again the Major Brothers will win the Tag Team titles. The pair then leave the ring together.

Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass versus Hurricane and Ron "The Truth" Killings

Brian Jossie and Charlie Hass struggle to work together as a team this early into their partnership. This is unfortunate as they will be teaming together at Genesis in the four-way tag team match. Hass and Jossie's inexperience together leads to them losing this match after Killings pins Brian Jossie.

Hurricane and Ron 'The Truth' Killings beat Brian Jossie and Charlie Haas in 2:08 when Ron 'The Truth' Killings defeated Brian Jossie by pinfall.

Match Rating: D

 

Ray Gordy comes to the ring and says that he hopes to show he has the strength to beat Brock Lesnar at Genesis. Gordy is soon interrupted by Brock Lesnar and David Villa. Lesnar and Villa stroll to the ring together and Lesnar snatches the microphone from Gordy's hand. Lesnar says that David Villa has his back at Genesis, and that Gordy has no chance of beating him. Lesnar and Villa then leave the ring together and head to the back, with Gordy looking worried alone in the ring.

Rating: C-

 

Rob Terry comes to the ring with fellow members of the British Invasion, Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams. Rob Terry takes a microphone and says that tonight the British Invasion will main event Impact as they take on Kofi Kingston, CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer. Rob Terry then passes the microphone to Doug Williams. Doug Williams says that the British Invasion are better than every other tag team in TNA, including Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. The trio then leave the ring together and head to the back.

Sheik Abdul Bashir and Charlie Hunnam versus Carlito Colon and Jesse Neal

Charlie Hunnam is still green and inexperienced in the ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time he faces Jesse Neal in singles action at Genesis. Hunnam's inexperience leads to his team losing this match after Jesse Neal pins Sheik Abdul Bashir.

Carlito Colon and Jesse Neal defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir and Charlie Hunnam in 1:58 when Jesse Neal defeated Sheik Abdul Bashir by pinfall.

Cody Rhodes comes to the ring to an elaborate pyrotechnic display. He says that eventually he will be a Champion in TNA, and is more worthy of the World title than Kofi Kingston. He says that he deserved to be in the Legends title match at Genesis, not losers like The Miz. He is soon interrupted by his opponent at Genesis, Charlie Sheen. Sheen comes to the ring and the pair have a stare-down before Cody gives way and heads to the back. Sheen, clearly pleased he has the psychological edge over Cody Rhodes, eventually does the same.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. versus Chris Harris

Chris Harris is really off his game tonight, and has struggled to build much momentum at all since his TNA return earlier in the year. Harris being off his game helps Chavo get the win here in a quick match.

Chavo Guerrero Jr defeated Chris Harris in 1:09 by pinfall after using a foreign object.

CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer come to the ring. Dreamer takes a microphone from the announce table and says that tonight he will team with his friend CM Punk and the World Champion Kofi Kingston to take on the British Invasion. The fans really feel Dreamer's emotions as he says that he might not have long in this business, and is proud to be teaming with great young talents such as Punk and Kingston. Before Dreamer can say anything else Brutus Magnus rushes to the ring. He quickly attacks CM Punk, before hitting him with a DDT. Magnus quickly leaves the ring, leaving a shocked and upset Dreamer to help his friend CM Punk to his feet. Punk is clearly hurt but Tommy Dreamer helps him to the back.

Cody Deaner and Daniels come to the ring to an entrance that consists of pure darkness followed by strobe lighting. They walk down the aisle not looking at the fans in attendance. Once in the ring Cody Deaner takes a microphone. He says that Daniels has been teaching him sunmission manouvres that will break people's bodies and minds. The pair then shake hands before leaving the ring together and heading to the back.

Legends Champion Kevin Nash comes to the ring to a tremendous response from the fans in attendance. He applauds every section of the arena before taking a microphone and thanking the fans in attendance for continuing to support him. He is soon intrrupted by The Miz and Eric Young who run to ringside and attack Nash. Miz then takes the microphone once Nash is down on the floor and says that he will win the Legends title at Genesis. Eric Young and The Miz then shake hands before leaving the ring together and heading to the back, with Nash clearly hurt in the ring.

Thiago Alves and Eddie Colon versus James Gibson and Kid Kash

Thiago Alves is still inexperienced in a six-sided wrestling ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time he faces James Gibson in singles action at Genesis. Alves and Eddie Colon are still able to get the victory here, however, after Eddie Colon pins Kid Kash.

Thiago Alves and Eddie Colon defeated Bulldogs in 1:51 when Eddie Colon defeated Kid Kash by pinfall with a Cannonball Twister.

Chris Jericho and Paul Wight versus Hulk Hogan and Eddie Edwards

Paul Wight is really off his game tonight but he and Jericho are still able to get the victory here and build momentum heading into the World title match at Genesis after Chris Jericho pins Eddie Edwards.

Lethal Consequences versus KIYOSHI and Jack Korpela

Jay Lethal seems off his game tonight in what is a rare occurence for "Black Machismo". However, Jay Lethal is still able to pin Jack Korpela in this short match to get the win for his team.

Lethal Consequences defeated Kiyoshi and Jack Korpela in 2:25 when Jay Lethal defeated Jack Korpela by pinfall with an Elbow Drop.

World Champion Kofi Kingston comes to the ring and says that tonight he will team with CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer to take on all three members of the British Invasion. Before Kingston can say anything else however Jake Hager comes to the ring and grabs Kingston from behind. Jager drags Kingston backstage where he proceeds to kick him in the head, before grabbing the World title and telling Kingston that he will win it at Genesis. Hager throws the belt at Kingston before leaving the area, leaving Kingston clearly hurt.

Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne versus O.D.B. and Nicole Bella

Mike Tenay notes that all four of these Knockouts would love a title match against whoever walks out of Genesis with the Knockouts title. O.D.B. pins Velvet Sky here to get the win for her team.

O.D.B. and Nicole Bella defeated The Beautiful People in 2:30 when O.D.B. defeated Velvet Sky by pinfall with The Dirty Dozen.

Cute Kip and Rhino versus Marshall Mathers and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka

Marshall Mathers is still green and inexperienced inside the six-sided wrestling ring, but the experience of Snuka helps him get the victory here when Mathers pins Rhino to win the match for his team.

Marshall Mathers and Jimmy 'Superfly' Snuka defeated Cute Kip and Rhino in 1:36 when Marshall Mathers defeated Rhino by pinfall.

Sojourner Bolt and Taylor Wilde versus Maryse Ouellet and Angela Fong

Mike Tenay notes that this is Angela Fong's second appearance tonight on Impact after she attacked Lisa Marie Varon earlier in the show. She gets her come-uppance here as Taylor Wilde pins Fong to get the victory for her team.

Sojourner Bolt and Taylor Wilde defeated Maryse Ouellet and Angela Fong in 2:12 when Taylor Wilde defeated Angela Fong by pinfall.

Typhoon comes to the ring and says that it is very unfortunate that he is not scheduled to compete at Genesis. Matt Hardy soon interrupts Typhoon. Matt Hardy tells Typhoon that this is the Twenty-First Century, and his name is Fred Ottman, not Typhoon. Typhoon seems embarrassed and heads to the back. Matt Hardy says that he is better than CM Punk, better than Tommy Dreamer, and at Genesis in singles action, he'll prove that he's better than Shawn Michaels. Shawn Michaels comes to the ring and the pair have a stare-down, before Matt Hardy eventually backs off and heads to the back. Pleased with his psychological advantage, Michaels too heads to the back.

Beer Money, Inc. come to the ring. James Storm takes a microphone and says that Beer Money are better than Matt Morgan. Matt Morgan soon comes to the ring and takes the microphone from Storm. Matt Morgan asks Beer Money what the hell they want. Morgan says that he could beat both of them in seconds, most probably setting a TNA record. Morgan then heads to the back, leaving Beer Money visibly embarrassed in the ring. Eventually they tuck their proverbial tails between their legs and head to the back themselves.

Matt Sydal and Jeff Hardy come to the ring. Matt Sydal takes a microphone and says eventually they will both be Champions in TNA, but first they must team up to take on Randy Orton and Paul Bearer at Genesis. Jeff Hardy climbs to the top rope and outstretches his arms to a huge ovation from the fans in attendance. Sydal and Jeff Hardy then shake hands before leaving the ring together and heading to the back.

John Hennigan comes to the ring but before he can say anything he is attacked by his opponent at Genesis, Ted DiBiase Jr. DiBiase has an angry look on his face as he throws Hennigan from the ring and onto the wafer-thin mats at ringside. DiBiase is clearly pleased by his handy-work, weakening Hennigan before his match tonight and his eventual clash with DiBiase at Genesis. DiBiase then heads to the back, leaving Hennigan visibly hurt alone outside of the ring.

Homicide and Shane Sewell versus Rocco and Jimmy Shaker

Jimmy Shaker seems really off his game tonight in this match. Shaker has not achieved much in TNA since his mentor Kurt Angle left the company. Shaker being off his game leads to his team losing this match after Homicide pins Rocco.

Homicide and Shane Sewell defeated Jimmy Shaker and Rocco in 2:16 when Homicide defeated Rocco by pinfall with a Cop Killa.

John Hennigan versus Shark Boy

Mike Tenay notes at the beginning of this contest that Shark Boy will be taking on Jethro Holliday at Genesis. Holliday makes an appearance tonight, distracting Shark Boy and allowing Hennigan to get the quick victory.

John Hennigan defeated Shark Boy in 0:48 by pinfall with a Standing Shooting Star Press. During the match we also had Jethro Holliday distract Shark Boy

Alissa Flash versus Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston is still very inexperienced inside the six-sided wrestling ring, but hopefully that should go away by the time she competes for the Knockouts title in the six-way match at Genesis. Aniston is still able to get the quick victory here, despite her inexperience.

Jennifer Aniston defeated Alissa Flash in 1:16 by pinfall.

John Cena comes to the ring and says he has loved wrestling since he was a little boy. He says that he is proud to be in TNA. Before Cena can say anything else, however, Suicide comes to the ring. He stares at Cena for several moments before punching Cena in the face. Suicide then picks up the microphone from the floor and hits Cena with it. Cena goes down instantly. The lights go out and when they come back on, Suicide is nowhere to be seen, yet Cena is still visibly hurt alone in the ring.

Samoa Joe and Sal versus Tetsuya Naito and Tyson Kidd

Mike Tenay notes that Samoa Joe will be eagerly watching the six-way X Division title match at Genesis, and he will most probably want a title shot following the pay-per-view. Joe pins Tyson Kidd here to get the quick win for his team.

Sal and Samoa Joe defeated Tetsuya Naito and Tyson Kidd in 2:09 when Samoa Joe defeated Tyson Kidd by pinfall with a Muscle Buster.

Seth Green comes to the ring and says he would like to bring out two people that have made him more than welcome since coming to TNA. The World Champion Kofi Kingston comes to the ring followed by soccer star Ze Roberto. All three men shake hands, and Seth Green hands Kingston the microphone. Kingston says he is looking forward to tonight's main event. The three men then shake hands before leaving the ring together and heading to the back.

Tae Yang comes to the ring flanked by Michelle McCool, who is holding hands with him. Tae Yang says that he will destroy Ze Roberto at Genesis. Tae Yang says that he will not quit, and he will stop at nothing to beat Ze Roberto and force him out of the company. Roberto then hands the microphone to Michelle McCool who says that together they are both capable of terrible things. The pair hug before leaving the ring together and heading to the back.

Kofi Kingston, CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer versus Rob Terry, Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams

Mike Tenay notes at the beginning of this match that World Champion Kofi Kingston and Big Rob Terry are just two of the six men competing for the World title in the main event of Genesis. Kingston gets the win for his team in this one after he pins Rob Terry.

CM Punk, Tommy Dreamer and Kofi Kingston beat Brutus Magnus, Doug Williams and Rob Terry in 4:39 when Kofi Kingston defeated Rob Terry by pinfall.

Match Rating: C-
