TheBrockLock Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 This is what is so frustrating about Destinys diarys, he never takes what the readers and use's it. In his last diary he had 14 matches in one episode of Impact, this time he had 11. I guess its less then last time but 11 matches in one two hour show is insane. Also numerous people have complained about not building up to your PPV's at all and yet again this happened. 7 of the 9 matches for your PPV were announced during the show with no build up at all. Just "Mike Tenay mentions that wrestler X will fight wrestler Y at the PPV." No reason for why they will fight, they just will. Another thing is the matches themselves. They are not even matches, all you give us is on snipet of conversation between the announcers and then who won and how. Thats it. This is fine for some diarys but yours has no backstage presence, very little out of ring anything, and no little extra's. You need the matches to shine, as of now they arent even matches. Lastly you make your workers look so weak. Steiner beats Samoa Joe in 3 minutes, and Foley beats Booker T and Im supposed to think Joe or Booker has a shot to win a match ever again? I dont understand why you have Samoa Joe who is a main eventer job out in 3 minutes, yet you give Amazing Red, who is barley a mid carder 18 minutes against Dr. Stevie. The booking follows no logical pathway at all. I just dont understand. I don't mean to troll on your thread, Im really a nice guy I swear. Destiny please just follow some peoples advice, your old diarys were good at times, now it seems like you do them just to spite people. That and all black with few bolds is very un-appealing to the eye. I am also a fan of quick snipets of matches.. but not this quick. In one of the diaries I did I would have a match then for the match write up do a quick 2-4 sentances of the beginning then another 2-4 for the middle and then the finish. It would also make more sense if you had build up to your announced matches. Remember you do not have to announce every match on your PPV.. your top 3 or 4 is good enough. Or just title matches if you'd like. But please have reasoning behind at least 60% of what you do. Also, TNA has never run 11 matches in a show.. not even PPV's. Make it believable, I don't wanna come read a diary where Joe gets dominated in 3 minutes by Steiner.. 1. It's not gonna happen in real life, 2. Why destroy a main eventer.. that match should've been the 18 minute match and the Red/Stevie match should've been about 6 or so, so Stevie could show his skills and Red gets a little ring time but not over-used. I'm giving you these tips from someone who has also done a few "failed" diaries. I have gotten good feedback on almost all of them, but it comes down to for me that I get lazy or get a new game on Xbox and play that over TEW. The short match's were a problem back then with his 1 hour shows holding 5-8 match's. Leopards dont change there spots and if you can work with short matches to get everyone on scree i guess thats cool. the only negative things i have to say are... Pushing the workers in strupidly long matches that bore the crowd and putting main eventers in short matches and burrying them. another issue from back in the day buddy. Remember Horny and Boogeyman the tag team beating Miz and Morrison for the titles? Nuff said on that one lol. Oh and the constant renewed diarys im getting lost just trying to keep track lol. tuff it out with just the one and win everyone over. i want to be a fan but i cant follow them for long enough. Finnaly i do agree with tyler (another one of the former multiplayer buddys. oh the draft :-D) anyways back on point. Pictured of some sort would help the reading alot. or even just color the txt would be a start its a little more time consuming but more pleasing to us readers. I meant I am a fan of people who can do that and rise above the criticism, not that he has yet(I know it sounded that way from how I typed it). I am a fan of people who will take all the criticism and still continue to run there dynasty.. currently it seems as if Destiny is reading all the criticism and stopping this dynasty to come up with better ways to run it.. I also meant to show us that he can run a dynasty.. he has yet to prove that with them only lasting 2 shows or so.. I'm guessing it's because he has so many matches that he wants to run through and doesn't want to make some of them on a different show and gets bored fast of booking 13-14 matches a show. Sorry for the confusion.. I wasn't being contradictory. I also didn't want to argue to bump this thread.. I just want him to rally back past the criticism and make this a good TNA Dynasty. But this, seriously, seriously, It honestly gets annoying to see the same thread, with the same booking style. And to be honest, you don't take ANY constructive Criticism to heart, you just do what you feel like. Take SWF2K9, he has started up multiple diaries. With the same company ? No, Different Booking Style ? Yes, Has he listened to people and tried to get better, Yes ! If you could honestly listen to people and try to get better, and not ruin your credibility, you would be a much more popular writer, and you don't need to start a new diary for every update.
