Friday, Week 1, October, 2009

 

Last night's airing of TNA Impact on Spike TV drew an incredible 4.10 rating for the company, the highest in TNA's seven-year history.

 

Maria Kanellis continues to reject TNA's negotiation requests as she doesn't feel they are a big enough promotion.

 

Adam Copeland also continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations despite being unemployed.

 

Billionaire Donald Trump continues to reject TNA's requests regarding him making a possible appearance for the company.

 

Mythbusters star Adam Savage continues to reject TNA's requests regarding him appearing for the promotion.

 

The unemployed Jeff Hardy also continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations.

Could I make a request? Could you import Lionel Messi? I think he would make for a great natural feud with David Villa. His finisher could be the Messi-nator. Epic babyface potential.

 

Lionel Messi would be a great addition to the X Division and I will have a serious think about importing him into my game. Thanks for the advice.

Last night's TNA House Show made a relatively solid $1,290 for the company, just making a profit.

 

Last night's airing of TNA Impact on Sun Sports drew a poor 0.13 rating for the company.

 

In even worse ratings news, TNA Impact last night on Bravo drew a 0.00 rating.

 

In shocking news, reigning TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James has retired from in-ring competition. The Knockouts title has now been vacated and will be defended on Impact in the following match:

Sunday, Week 1, October, 2009

 

Last night's House Show made an average $1,360 for the company, headlined by Brother Devon and Jeff Jarrett beating Brutus Magnus and Rob Terry.

 

Unfortunately last night's airing of TNA Impact on Bravo 2 in the UK drew a 0.00 rating.

 

TNA Impact also drew a very low 0.00 rating on FOX8 last night, the lowest in some time.

 

Christian Cage continues to reject TNA's negotiation requests and has reportedly said he won't sign for the company until his Brother Ray recovers from injury.

 

Russian Rap Star Timati continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations despite his friendship with Brother Devon.

 

TNA has extended the Pay-Per-Appearance contract of X Division Champion David Villa.

Monday, Week 2, October, 2009

 

The following matches are confirmed to take place at tonight's Impact tapings:

 

TNA Knockouts Championship: Awesome Kong versus Ayako Hamada

Mickie James shockingly retired last week and vacated the Knockouts title. Can Kong begin her fourth reign as Champion or will Ayako Hamada win the belt for the first time?

 

Brutus Magnus and Kurt Angle versus CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer

All four of these men will challenge for the World title currently held by Brock Lesnar at Bound for Glory, along with the fifth challenger Matt Morgan. What team can get the victory and momentum heading into the title match?

 

Charlie Hass versus Chris Harris

Charlie Hass is undefeated since coming to TNA and looks to continue his unbeaten run against TNA veteran Chris Harris on Impact.

 

Non-Title: David Villa versus Chris Sabin

At Bound for Glory David Villa will defend the X Division title against both of the Motor City Machine Guns in a three-way match but on Impact he will first face Sabin in one-on-one action.

 

Lethal Consequences versus Daniels and Andromeda

Lethal Consequences will face Cody Rhodes and Jimmy Shaker at Bound for Glory and will look to build momentum against Daniels and Andromeda on Impact in their first time teaming together.

 

Dr. Stevie versus Typhoon

At Bound for Glory the veteran Typhoon will face Eric Young, but first has to get past former Legends Champion Dr. Stevie on Impact.

Devon says that the match may be a short one, and he and Jarrett will dominate. Beer Money soom hear enough and head to the back.

Morgan comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and says that it doesn't matter what Sydal has to say, all that matters is that he beats Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer at Bound for Glory and becomes the new World Heavyweight Champion. Morgan then heads to the back leaving Sydal confused in the ring, as he was unable to speak.

Steiner then leaves Abyss alone in the ring and heads to the back.

Mickie announces that although she has officially retired from in-ring competition she will compete for the Knockouts title one last time at Bound for Glory. She says that in order for her to do this, she has also hand-picked her successor, who she sees a great future in, Sojourner Bolt. Mickie says that Bolt will also be in the title match at Bound for Glory, which will now be a five-way match. Before the pair can say anything moore Jacqueline Moore and Michelle McCool rush to the ring. Michelle knocks Mickie down with a huge dropkick and Jacqueline begins to pummel a fallen Sojourner Bolt with punches. Jacqueline and Michelle McCool then shake hands before leaving the ring together.

Star of "Dexter" Michael C Hall continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations as he wants to further his acting career.

 

International Superstar Jennifer Lopz continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations as she has no interest in appearing for the company.

 

Maria Kanellis continues to reject TNA's negotiation requests as she doesn't feel they are a big enough company yet.

 

Billionaire Donald Trump continues to refuse to negotiate with TNA as he has no interest in making any appearances for the company.

 

Unemployed Randy Orton continues to reject TNA's request for negotiations as he saved alot of money working for the WWE and does not need to return to work yet.

Jim Cornette joins Tenay and West on commentary for this match and announces that Bobby Lashley versus Booker T at Bound for Glory will now be a Monster's Ball Match. Lashley gets the hard-fought win here in a good match.

Bobby Lashley defeated Alex Shelley in 18:17 by pinfall with a Spear.

Brother Devon comes to the ring and calls out Beer Money. Beer Money come to the entrance-way with a microphone and Robert Roode asks Devon what he wants. Brother Devon takes a microphone from ringside and says that he and Jeff Jarrett will defeat them at Bound for Glory. Devon lifts up his Tag Team Championship belt and says that he will be victorious for his injured partner, Brother Ray. Devon says that eventually Ray will be back and they will take on all challengers to the Tag Team titles, but there won't be any of Beer Money left as Devon and Jarrett will take care of them at Bound for Glory. Beer Money have clearly heard enough and head to the back.

Brutus Magnus and CM Punk have great chemistry and it lifts the match and shows in their performances. Punk gets the quick victory here.

Carlito Colon comes to the ring and says he wants a title shot soon before throwing the microphone to the mat and leaving the ring.

Actor Charlie Hunnam is green and rusty but that will soon go away after he's got more matches under his belt. Hass gets the quick win in this one.

Chris Harris comes to the ring and calls out Chris Jericho. Jericho comes to the entrance-way with a microphone and asks Harris what he wants. Chris Harris says that Jericho won't take his spot before Jericho hears enough and heads to the back.

Mike Tenay notes that David Villa is undefeated since winning the X Division title as he heads into his title defence against both of the Motor City Machine Guns at Bound for Glory.

Cody Deaner and Daniels come to the ring. Daniels takes a microphone and says that the pair will be dominant before leaving the ring together.

Cody Rhodes versus Jay Lethal

Rhodes and Lethal have pretty good chemistry, and it lifts the match. Rhodes gets the quick victory building momentum for his team heading into Bound for Glory.

Cody Rhodes beat Jay Lethal in 2:17 by pinfall with a Silver Spoon DDT.

Following the conclusion of the match Jay Lethal's partner at Bound for Glory, Consequences Creed, comes to the ring to check on his friend. Creed picks up Lethal and helps him out of the ring. Just as Creed is about to leave the ring himself, however, Cody Rhodes strikes him from behind. Cody then hits the Silver Spoon DDT on Consequences Creed before leaving the ring. Rhodes smiles as he heads up the ramp seemingly knowing that both Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed will be severly weakened at Bound for Glory when they face Rhodes and his partner Jimmy Shaker in a tag team match. Cody heads to the back whilst Jay Lethal slowly returns to the ring to help his tag team partner Consequences Creed back to his feet. The pair leave the ring together, with Lethal helping Creed stand. The two are visibly upset due to the cheap actions of Cody Rhodes as they head to the back.

Rating: E-

 

Cute Kip versus Dr. Stevie

Cute Kip and Dr. Stevie don't seem to click as opponents, and it makes for an awkward bout. Stevie gets the quick victory in this one.

Dr. Stevie beat Kip in 3:09 by pinfall with a Stevie Kick.

The crowd are shocked as the former Hornswoggle, Dylan Postl, comes to the ring. Before long, Harry Smith rushes to the ring, and kicks Postl in the head, leaving him down on the mat before leaving the ring.

Eddie Colon versus Typhoon

Fred Ottman is still a little rusty, but that should go away by the time he faces Eric Young at Bound for Glory. Eddie Colon gets the quick win here.

Homicide comes to the ring with a microphone and calls out his opponent at Bound for Glory, Suicide. Suicide comes to the entrance-way and Homicide says that he'll beat him in the Monster's Ball match at Bound for Glory. Suicide soon hears enough and heads to the back.

Jesse Neal and Hurricane versus Kevin Nash and Paul Wight

Mike Tenay notes that Hurricane will face Nash at Bound for Glory whilst Paul Wight will take on Jesse Neal in a Monster's Ball match. Nash and Wight get the quick victory here when Nash pins Jesse Neal.

We suddenly cut to the entrance-way where James Gibson is brawling with one-half of his opponents at Bound for Glory, Jack Korpela. Gibson punches the weaker and smaller Korpela several times in the chest before kicking him in the gut. Gibson then picks up Korpela and throws him off of of the ramp and onto the concrete floor below. Gibson smiles before heading to the back to a chorus of boos from the fans in attendance. Korpela is visibly hurt on the floor as medics rush to help him to his feet. Korpela looks as though he may not make it to Bound for Glory where he is scheduled to team with Ray Gordy to take on the Bulldogs of James Gibson and Kid Kash. Korpela holds his chest as medics help him to his feet and carry him to the back.

Non-Title: Awesome Kong versus Jacqueline Moore

Jim Cornette once again joins Tenay and West on commentary for this bout and announces that Kong's title defence at Bound for Glory will now be a six-way match with Kong defending against Jackie, Sojourner Bolt, Mickie James and both Bella Twins. The Champion gets the quick victory here.

Awesome Kong beat Moore in 3:12 by pinfall.

We suddenly cut to the entrance-way where Jennifer Aniston is brawling with her opponent at Bound for Glory, Bianca Beauchamp. Beauchamp kicks Aniston in the gut before slamming her into the steel floor. Bianca smiles before heading to the back, leaving Aniston hurt on the floor.

KIYOSHI & Jethro Holliday versus Sheik Abdul Bashir and Rob Terry

Mike Tenay notes that KIYOSHI will face Rob Terry in a Monster's Ball match at Bound for Glory whilst Jethro Holliday will take on Sheik Abdul Bashir in singles action. Holliday pins Bashir to gift his team the victory in this one.

NBA Star Kobe Bryant has signed a written deal with AAA in Mexico. TNA has now given up on signing the International Superstar.

WWE have begun to speak with TNA star Shane Sewell regarding a developmental contract.

 

Russian Rap Star Timati has signed a written deal with Mexican promotion AAA.

 

Last Night's House Show made $2,525 for the company, turning a decent profit.

 

TNA Impact last night drew a 0.14 rating on Sun Sports, not a great number even for a small network.

Saturday, Week 4, October, 2009

 

Last night's TNA House Show made $2,535 for the company, an impressive number.

 

TNA Impact last night on Sun Sports drew a 0.14 rating on Sun Sports, which isn't that bad considering the small network.

 

Unfortunately, however, TNA Impact only drew a low 0.00 rating last night on Bravo.

 

Jacqueline Moore has retired from wrestling. The title match at Bound for Glory tomorrow night will be her final match. She will however continue to perform for TNA as a Personality.

 

The WWE Contract of Ted DiBiase is up for renewal, and he can now be contacted with contract offers.

 

Layla has been released from her WWE Contract today. She had not wrestled on television in 2009.

 

Continuing today's talent cuts, Josh Matthews was today released from his contract. Matt Striker will now call ECW with Tony Chimel.

 

Michael Cole has also been released from his WWE Contract and JR and King will now call RAW.

 

In today's final talent cut, WWE released Todd Grisham. JR and King will now also call SmackDown! together.
