juggaloninjalee
My guys are still going strong luckily. I am getting much better at this game. I have 1 fighter who couldn't beat up a toddler if he tried to. Other than that though I have some great fighters. My guy Brian Rude who is the champ is facing a guy that he has already beat on 8/7 so I should win that fight.
masterded
So I have another fighter in Canada who is doing quite well (3-0) and his next fight is for the title in the organization he fights in. So I am trying to pick a song for him to use. I know most people ignore the song thing, but I think it adds character. So his name is Lance "Boy Toy" Stevens and so far I am thinking of going with "I Know What Boys Like", but was wondering if anyone has any better ideas? Prophet
If you're going flamboyant, something poppy like "I Know What Boys Like" works. Or "Boy Toy" by Salt n' Pepa. However, if you want to go with a tweaking of the name, maybe "Toy Soldier" by Eminem might work. I do agree on the music, though. Seeper comes out to "Cemetary Gates" by Pantera, another guy I have, "The Lone Wolf" Soloman Payne, comes to the cage to "Du Hast" ... think I have a 3rd with a song as well, but I can't remember it offhand. lol
majesty95
Mike Diesel in Las Vegas I have just created my first fighter. He is a Muay Thai/BJJ specialist with a wrestling background. Some would say he is a combo of Anderson Silva and Rampage. He walks around at 195lbs but is expected to compete in the middleweight division. He is currently located in Las Vegas and training part-time at Prestige MMA Academy. He is actively searching for sponsorships and some quality supplements. His ID is: Mike "Spider" Diesel [ 23267 ]

If I were to get a 3 month VIP and started a company, would I lose that company after 3 months? I think you can only keep a business if you are VIP so I imagine if you stop being VIP then you'd lose it. I think you would also be forced to lose some of your fighters too but I'm not sure about it. As for our own success stories.... Jurgen Lythjohan has now managed to grind out 4 hard earned decision victories and has a title shot. He should lose it as he's largely outgunned and will be recovering from injury for most of the time to the fight. And Khru Kang (who I reckon is my top fighter) is up to 3-0 and is looking to win that fight on his way to a title match too. Shame my namesake got his head kicked off in 13 seconds during his last fight. It shoulda been for the title too, but at least I didn't have the indignity of losing a title fight that quickly. Will get him next time!

If you have that many fighters you'll need to put on more than two shows a week, which in my opinion is ill advised. From what I can tell it's pretty hard to run a promotion into the ground, but if you want it to make money/get a strong ranking I'd keep a smaller roster than that. Capelli King
I run 3 shows per week and 200 is a perfect size for 3 shows. I do not really care so much about ratings as the ratings are flawed in my opinion, you can only gain in ratings if your event was better than the previous one, which means you need to either simply recruit better fighters all the time OR put your fighters in fights every week to hype them up faster. I am taking the other approach, which is the slow methodical one, more fighters mean that i can run more events, more events means more opportunities for new talent, which also means i can dump bad fighters or inactive ones, as you said making money is not a problem, i am making more than enough money with 3 events every week anyway. I cannot be bothered waiting for a whole week to have just 1 or 2 events. Either way i am happy with how GAMMA is going;)

You can make more money, have higher rated shows, and have more hype for your fighters and your promotion with a smaller roster, less frequent shows, etc. Or you can do it Capelli's way. juggaloninjalee
You can still train while "injured" after your fights. Being injured has no role when it comes to training. Just dont try to fight while your guy is injured because he will more than likely lose.

BHK1978
Be sure to get a lot of training and rest between fights. Some org owners are unrealistic and want you to be fighting once a week, Yeah I tend to over train my fighters and they are always tired. However, I think my major problem is not setting the right strategy. I mean I try to go with my fighters strengths but when they suck at pretty much everything that is hard to do. Tactics can be quite hard to do, but I find that trying to predict your opponents tactics so that you can counter them AND also play to your strengths will get you where you want to be. Obviously you can't win every fight and there are times when things will go against you, but I've been pretty successful so far. Just ignore my 13 second KO with one of my recent fighters.. that was bad luck and I totally woulda mauled him if I'd gotten to the mat like I planned to.
