PSW: The Evolution of Greed

Recommended Posts

Backstage, Post "The Rising Inferno"

... Atta Boy ...

The constant chatter had faded into the night... Now, the only thing that still stood within the walls of "The Ministry", other than myself that I knew of, was Earl the nightsmen. A simple fellow, working well past his retirement date in which to afford his recent piling of medical bills.

"Sometimes John... When sh*t hits the fan all you can really do is pretend like it don't stink".

Words of advice from a man who understood what life was all about... Picking yourself back up after you've been knocked the F*ck down. Something that I knew all too well myself.

That's why tonight was a turning point in my professional career... Hell, my personal psyche as well I guess you could say. Mitch, glorious in his OCD-like tendencies, wanted more out of our shows.... He challenged me to do MORE with what we had on the roster, and after tonight... I felt pretty confident with what we put together.

Sure, It was borderline "Chaos TV" (minus the TV part).... And some would go as far as to call it "gross" seeing how we had a 7 foot monster set a blaze in the middle of the ring. However, that's what we're in the business of... Sending people home with the feeling that they had witnessed, nothing short of, brutal warfare.

For the most part, We had the crowd eating out of the palm of our hands (especially for such a small promotion)... Hell, we even saw a spike in hits on PSW.com as our show was broadcasted LIVE via webcam. We were starting to see a shift in focus... Then again, We were nowhere near being seen as something truly relevant on a national scale outside of those who prescribe to the idea of underground entertainment.

I passed Earl on my way out of the "Ministry", making sure to acknowledge eachother... However, I had no idea what was awaiting me outside the doors.

"Great Show"

"Mitch? I thought you left already..."

There stood Mitch Naess in a long black trentchcoat... A testament to true class as his coat gently hides his stylish grey suit (The only suit he actually owns... Wearing it practically every day).

"You really sent them home talking this time around. I heard a lot of feedback from the boys that we had stationed in the crowd. They LOVED the Braun/Colossus match."

"Thanks."

I wanted to walk right past him, not because I didn't enjoy talking to the man... but more so for the fact that I was desperately clawing for sleep.

"Say, John. Did you hear about Harry?"

"He's on his way out of TCW, right?"

I knew he was on his way out, however, with Mitch, it's best to allow him to think that he's the one "in the know".

"Yea. Cornell and he had a falling out it seems. Anyways, He's expressed interest with working for PSW... however, he still has another 30 days left on his 'no complete cause'. We're thinking of bringing him in in October though. What you think?"

As always, even though he asked the question... I'm almost certain that he had already made up his mind internally.

"If he's available, I say we jump at it. We've been making money for the last 6 months... We've got some room to make some moves. Plus, he'd bring some interest from those who may be fans of his but don't really know much about us. Great move all around."

I tried my best to sound as intellectual, however relaxed, as possible... Still trying to convey some sense of confidence despite the fact that my ability, in that regard, was still quite low.

"Good. He's as good as ours then."

With that, I attempted to walk past Mitch... Trying to show signs that I was on my way home. Walking alone down a deserted back alley road leading to my sh*t-hole of an apartment in the "Steel District". (Only blocks away from the "Ministry"). However, just as I had stepped away far enough to barely hear... Mitch left me with this...

"You're doing good, John. Real good. [Nods his head in approval] Keep this up and we'll force them to forget about DaVE."

It sent shivers down my spine.... Forget about DaVE? It almost seemed impossible. Plus, Mitch found a way, as always, to take whatever confidence I had and smashed it into pieces.... Here was a whole new level of pressure waiting upon my shoulders.

... How will we ever push others to forget about DaVE? ...

... His lofty ambition could spell nothing but death for us ...

"Blood, Sweat, and Tears"

Saturday, 3rd Week of September 2008

Run-Time: 2 HOURS

PSW Event #7

<hr color="black">

Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling has announced the formation of a deadly 8 man tournament to declare the FIRST EVER Blood, Sweat, and Tears Victor. The man who can survive 3 straight matches, in one night, will be declared as the NEW #1 Contender to the PSW Championship and will challenge Mr. Morgan, the current PSW Champion, for the title at next month's Live Event! With that being said, here is the tournament brackets as they stand today:

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Banners/bracket8single20copy-1.jpg

Prediction Key:

Round 1

A: Alex Braun vs Primal Rage

B: Teddy Powell vs Johnny Martin

C: Bryan Holmes vs Ash Campbell

D: Frankie Future vs Dean Waldorf

Round 2

E: Winner A vs Winner B

F: Winner C vs Winner D

Final:

Winner E vs Winner F

"Thoughts of Greed":

How can one continue to "generate a splash" following, such an event as, a Monster being potentially forced into early retirement due to a showering of Fire? You dig down deep into the "headbooker's bag of tricks" in which to pull forth the idea of a Violent 8 man tournament.... With the winner being declared as the NEW #1 Contender. Genius? Maybe. Lazy? Not in the slightest... Mitch wants to persuade others into letting go of their love for DaVE, instead, turning their focus primarily upon the innovative development of PSW? [Chuckles] He may spew insanity, however, my job continues to be on the line... So, somehow, I need to keep this train recklessly on a crash course toward potential internal implosion.

Show Note: I know that it won't be easy to leave behind predictions with this one as it's done in an image, however, if you want to leave behind who you think will win then that would suffice as well. Plus, if you have any additional comments... I'm always happy to respond! Cheers..

Pro Wrestling is as much of a form of entertainment as it is a form of sporting event these days. Companies like SWF, TCW, and USPW have done all that is humanly possible to dilute the industry we once knew and loved and ultimately turned it into a hybrid of itself.... A un-inspired, Flashy, Celebrity-driven product that has made it easier for the masses to easily digest our craft.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> Sounds great, huh?</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> F*ck that.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> As you already know by now... To suck up to billion dollar sponsors all in the name of capital driven motives. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> Again, F*ck that...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling is the physical personification of wide-spread violence... Now, I received emails upon emails about why a company like ours would EVEN use a phrase like this... "Tears"? Most laughed us off and called us out as many felt we were going against our brand. However, hear me out why such a name is truly indicative of who we are...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> PSW is much like life in general... To survive you must claw, scratch, crawl, and bite. Things aren't fair and if you wait around long enough to expect them to be... You have to claw harder, scratch longer, crawl stronger, and ruthlessly bite your way to the top. So, in a sense, you have to put your entire being into the notion of your own success or else you will fall by the wayside much like 99% of the world's population. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> To truly succeed in this Tournament... You'll probably find yourself on the way out in the first round... Even farther away from the PSW Championship than when you first stepped into the event. </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> And that's what it's all about folks... the PSW Championship. The PSW Championship means success in our company.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> So, before you blow our upcoming Tournament off as a misguided run against our own brand, understand it's true meaning...</span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';">Life is tough... Or will you submit to the pressures and ultimately fall apart from the seems? </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"> </span><span style="font-family:'Comic Sans MS';"><strong><span style="font-size:14px;">Can you survive through... I just finished booking the show and it truly is </span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">the longest show I've ever done in a diary</span></span><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">. Since the event was more of a "special affair", I bumped the run time up to 2 Hours (which is typically double my original shows). </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

Overall... There are 17 segments, so.... The overall write-up may be a little shorter in length per segment just so it's not a massive massive post. Some will be longer than others... It will all come down to what's needed most to push the story.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

It's going to take a good while to actually get this all written up, So you may not see results for a little bit. You may see a random post here and there as there are some Cornellverse situations that arose lately that I may focus on. Outside of that though... Just wanted to let you know that this show was much longer than any of my previous ones... Therefore, it's going to take a bit to get it all right!</span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:Tahoma;">

<strong>This is not my attempt to bump up my Diary by posting this. Rather, I wanted to fill those reading this diary in as to what to expect coming up with such a large large show for me.</strong></p>

I'm finding it hard to really get some decent writing in the past week or so due to summer class, my online logic course, and work on top of all of that. Needless to say, when I saw that "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" ended up being 17 segments my jaw dropped to the floor. haha. It'll take a bit to get it all done, however, I'm hoping for it to be a big event for PSW.... So, it deserves the time!</p>

Mid September 2008

... "Sh*t, that could have been me"...

"Sh*t man.... That could have been me."

I couldn't escape it... It was like a giant, self-medicating, elephant in the room. There was no way of getting around it....

I didn't personally know Warlord Pain. Hell, the only REAL connection that I had with the man, well actually the character, was sitting in my living room on a Sunday morning watching "The Warlords" rip through the SWF like a team possessed. Well, that... And the fact that we both have wrestled with a dark truth... A truth that eventually took Warlord Pain's life.

Prescription Medication. My muse for quite some time following my "freak" accident at the hands of Bear Bekowski. wow, It feels weird to even say his name... I've done everything in my power to block out that day, that time, that person. Not because I was still itching for my original career as a Pro Wrestler but rather... because it was the onset of a very dark, dark, period for me.

Now... It was staring back at me... Square in my face... With no way to turn away.

That could have been me months ago. My life could have been summed up by a small paragraph, however in no way as accomplished as Pain's. While I can't say that I don't itch... That I don't feel the "shakes" coming on as I start to ponder one more pill... Breaking from my sobriety.

Something like this just puts it all into perspective.

... God, that could have been me ...

Bryan Holmes and PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan.

... An Alliance? ...

[The opening segment of the night came with a confusing tone as Bryan Holmes's theme music began to blare over the low-quality sound system stationed in the corners of the "Ministry" Event Center. The confusing sense wasn't so much that Bryan Holmes was opening the show, as he typically did since joining PSW, but rather that he had company at his side.... The PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan. The fact that these two have been competitively intertwined with one another since Holmes's PSW debut added a sense of awkwardness to it all as the potential future opponents stormed the ring together... All with one common focus in mind.]

Bryan Holmes: There has been one lingering question that's been asked time and time again since I joined PSW. Why do you seem to hate Johnny Martin?

[The pro-Martin crowd pops upon hearing his name... A fact that seems to generate a look of disgust on the face of Bryan Holmes.]

Bryan Holmes: The answer is something that has brought a sense commonality between Mr. Morgan and I... You see, it all stems back from from our days in New York. Johnny was Phil's (Vilbert) golden-child. Sure, Nemesis was his "cash cow", however, Johnny was his personal favorite if you will. No matter how talented you were... You ended up in the back of the line as "The powers that be" forced Martin into the Main Event scene. Here we were... Stuck behind a talentless, soul-less, spine-less punk... As he gained championship gold time and time again... Here we were, shoved to the background... Used as pawns to help elevate Martin to the "cream of the crop". Sure, we both had our success... We found a way to weasel our way into a strong position or two, however, that would all come crashing down shortly after Phil realized that his "pet project" was in need of another title run. Once again, pushing us to the background and making sure that everything pointed in Johnny's direction.

[Mr. Morgan stands along side Bryan... nodding his head in approval.]

Bryan Holmes: We were starving, both physically and professionally, and yet it didn't seem to matter to those in charge. Therefore, I packed my things up and took my career elsewhere... Heading to Japan with hopes of FINALLY receiving the respect that I should be granted. Sick of constantly playing "second fiddle" to a man who couldn't wrestle his way out of a paper bag. [Pauses] This is why Mr. Morgan and I have come together to form a professional alliance.... To deny Johnny Martin the ability to, once again, force his way back on top based solely upon his name. I mean the man carried the PSW Championship for almost a years time... For any other superstar that would be an amazing feat, however, here in PSW... His reign was skewed. Month in and Month out... Martin was defending his title against the likes of The Wolverine, Dead Bolt, and Alex Braun.... In a sense, people that Mitch (Naess) KNEW couldn't pull off the upset. Where was Mr. Morgan's title shot? Pushed to the background just as Mitch's predecessor had once done before... A slave to Martin's overall popularity, however, ignoring the ACTUAL talent on this roster.

[Holmes turns to look at Mr. Morgan, and more importantly the PSW Championship firmly laying over his shoulder... gleaming in the lights from above.]

Bryan Holmes: After I win tonight's tournament we will, once again, prove to the world that Johnny Martin is NOT needed in PSW. That his overall prescience would be best served elsewhere... Because after I've been declared as the very first "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Victor... I'll be coming for the PSW Championship. [Looks into Morgan's eyes] Call it a competitive alliance if you will... A brotherhood, in a sense, as we move forward to rid PSW of Johnny Martin... All the while, bringing a sense of honor to the PSW Championship that the DaVE Championship surely lacked.

[With that, Johnny Martin's theme music quickly hits.... Sending the crowd into a massive uproar. Martin, coming out of the back with a mic in hand, stands in the entrance way... Looking toward both Mr. Morgan and Bryan Holmes with a look of annoyance]

Johnny Martin: Are you done b*tching, Holmes? [Crowd pops] Did you ever stop to think why I had made it to the top of DaVE and you didn't? It's really quite simple.... Sure, you both had all the talent in the world.... No one can deny that. However, your major downfall was the very thing that still plagues you today... Your giant, space swallowing, EGO!

[The crowd once again pops like crazy as both Mr. Morgan and Bryan Holmes look pissed.]

Johnny Martin: But go ahead... Blame it on everyone else.... You always have and you always will. You say that you left DaVE for Japan because you felt that others weren't giving you the respect you deserve? I guess you could say that... [smirks]... But in reality, You were FIRED from DaVE. [Crowd pop's] You know it, I know it, and even your supposed ally knows it. So what's going to make this go-around any different? In the end, you're going to end up making the same mistakes.... Losing focus, crying for attention, and ultimately becoming a polarizing figure on both sides of the curtain... and where will that lead you? I can promise you... [Points over at Mr. Morgan]... He will stab your back the second he thinks he has a chance at stealing the title. It's a fact... So your little "alliance" is nothing to be afraid of... Why? Because you two will end up tearing each other's heads off before I even get a chance.

[With that, the message has been sent... A message that seems to be driving the newly formed alliance absolutely crazy! You could cut the tension with a knife as the PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan, and Bryan Holmes stair down their long-hated rival... Johnny Martin. What will come of this shaky 2 on 1 affair? Will Mr. Morgan and Bryan Holmes be able to co-exist when the PSW Championship is in the middle of them? Only time will tell...]

Grade: D+

Mitch Naess: Johnny Martin was never "given" the top spot.... He's proven himself time, and time, again. To insinuate that someone would gain their success solely based upon their name is ludicrous.

Doc Messing: Yea, It's not like we're the SWF or anything...

Alex Braun vs. Primal Rage

Round #1 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

There was no mistake in placing this bout as the opening match of the night as one of the most heated rivalries in all of PSW, Alex Braun vs "The Deadly Sin's", once again came ahead. Notable in his absence was the very man that Braun lit ablaze last month at "The Rising Inferno", KILLER Colossus, and this very fact seemed to hinder the, typically, cohesive faction. The action itself set the overall tone, for tonight's live event, as the competitive interaction had a feeling of being heavily overbooked. While, in other companies, this may be seen as a dreadful approach to booking... Here in PSW, The extremely vocal crowd tends to enjoy a sense of "CrashTV".

Alex, needing to fend off Acedia through out most of the match, was never seen without a weapon in his hand. Even as Primal Rage found himself briefly in control... Braun would eventually find his way back into a dominant position following the use of an array of weapons stationed around the ringside area. At one point, Braun was able to not only floor Rage and Acedia with a heavily dented steel chair... but ALSO almost decapitated (not literally) John Greed with a violent baseball like swing of said steel chair to his forehead.

Despite the match looking like a 3 on 1 affair.... Alex Braun continues to impress the PSW crowd as he finds a way to luckily dodge his attackers... In the end, laying out Primal Rage in the middle of the ring with his signature "Braun Damage".

Without KILLER Colossus, "The Deadly Sin's" look to be in a state of confusion. While Greed attempts to keep them together... It's easy to see that the loss of their main singles star, potentially forever as he may never truly regain his health following an "Inferno Match" with Alex Braun last month, has severely thrown off their focus.

Alex Braun defeats Primal Rage in 8:10 via a"Braun Damage".

Grade: D-

Doc Messing: Week in and Week out Alex Braun shows exactly why he's loved here in PSW. The man always seems to have some sort of overwhelming odds thrown in his path, however, he always comes away strong. A mark of a warrior.

Mitch Naess: Alex really has reinvented himself, something you don't typically see much in the twilight of ones career. However, he's done it... He's gone from an "over-the-top" character in both SWF and, in some cases, DaVE.... To an age-defying, "never say die", "will fight for food" kind of personality. A great role model to anyone out there who has been pushed up against a wall or two in their time.

Doc Messing: Certainly is. Even pushing 50 years old Alex is considered a massive threat! While he may not have the athleticism, and the stamina, that he once had.... He makes up for it with his, seemingly, unlimited knowledge of "the game".

Marv Slater, Billy Russell

... Impromptu Challenge ...

[shortly following the opening contest, We now cut to a backstage feed (via webcam) of Marv Slater (one-half of the PSW Tag Team, "The Ring Generals") standing before the ever menacing Billy Russell. The former MMA star, Russell, stands inches from the towering Slater... his entire head covered by a silky looking black hood (an extension of his silky black boxing-like robe)... However, his body in a stance as if he's about to strike.]

Marv Slater: You know, Billy, I don't really "get" the fanfare circling around you...

[Marv steps closer to Billy.. Showing that he doesn't fear the man what so ever]

Marv Slater: To me, You're nothing more than an over glorified has been. [smirks] Someone who can't live up to the pressure. Hell, if you could then you wouldn't even be in this industry... You'd still be fighting like a caged monster. [Laughs] A mindless drone banging away on others skulls... A barbarian without any real "talent". On the other hand, I stand before you as the "benchmark" in PSW today. Bryan Holmes? Johnny Martin? Frankie Future? [Laughs] No. You see, Billy, if you really want a chance at stardom here.... Hell, in your case, if you really want to PROVE to everyone involved in PSW that you are worth the potential letdown... Then make your case.... Here...... Tonight.

[billy Russell, slowly lifts his head up to where his eyes are most likely locking with Marv's, however, we can't see it due to the angle.]

Marv Slater: I'll take that as a yes...

[Marv Pauses as he looks Russell over and slightly laughs again]

Marv Slater: You may be able to scare others with your quasi-tough guy persona but it 'ain't working on me, Chief. See you in the ring.

[With that, Marv walks past Billy Russell but not before he practically rams Russell to the floor with a well-placed shoulder brush. The obvious size difference is the true culprit, as it pertains to rocking Russell backward a step or two, as the former MMA fighter looks to gain in intensity over the show of disrespect.]

Grade: E+

Doc Messing: Bad move....

Mitch Naess: Yea, I don't think Marv really thought this one through....

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/MarvStatler.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/vs.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/BillyRussell90.jpg

Billy Russell vs. Marv Slater

Impromptu Match

Billy Russell stood from onfar with his shiny black boxing-like robe draped over his shoulders.... His head bent looking downward as he slowly raised the identity hiding hood off of his head. Marv, playing his best "tough guy" persona, looks as if the intro doesn't phase him in the slightest.... Instead, rushing the much smaller Russell with the intent of making quick work of the former MMA fighter. In a way, it looked rather awkward to see Russell being owned straight out of the gate as that was always, typically, Billy's point of attack. Then again Marv's dominance wouldn't really last all that long... Sure he put forth a valiant effort, one that could have potentially landed him a victory against any lesser competitor, however, in the end, Billy slowly began to shift the momentum of the bout... Pushing back rather forcibly and ultimately grounding Marv for the remainder of the match. Following a string of failed submission attempts, Russell finally found a way to defeat his youthful opponent with a string of vicious knee strikes to the front of Slater's head, as he tried to pull himself back up off of his stomach.

With each and every blow, 10 rapid fire strikes were counted, Marv looked to slip farther and farther away from conciousness.... The final blow, landing square across the temple of the semi-conscious Marv Slater, would eventually knock the middleweight out cold... Giving Billy the easy job of forcing Marv's body onto his back... Picking up a standard 3 count from PSW referee, R.M. Stones, as the "Ring General" is seen motionless on the canvas.

Billy Russell defeats Marv Slater in 11:44 via a Grounded Knee Flurry.

Grade: D+

Doc Messing: Holy Sh*t... Did you see that? All it took were some well placed knee strikes from Russell to put Marv out cold. I don't think he's moved ever since the last strike?

Mitch Naess: It just goes to show you.... You don't really need a weapon to lead you to victory if your strikes are weapons in themselves.

Doc Messing: That's true. Marv didn't stand a chance of coming out of this one...

Harry Allen

... Debut Hype Video ...

[A flash of light.... and then complete darkness]

[Another flash of light, this time followed by the faint sounds of a "garden variety" rock anthem rising in the background.]

[A camera view now pans from the floor up, extremely slowly, as we see a figure standing before us. His legs are clad in torn, faded, jeans as we hear the figure's voice speak.... Knowing that it's Harry Allen straight away due to his familiar tone.]

Harry Allen: Forgotten... Pushed aside... Branded with a "Scarlett Letter"... yet, I bleed the same.

[The camera view continues to slowly pan up as we've now hit waist level on Allen. A faded leather belt with a wide silver belt buckle gleams in the camera light.]

Harry Allen: I was forced into a corner, told to be something that I'm not, something that was so counter-opposite of my true being. however, I stand before you now... Shedding away the years of a mindless gimmick... A "joke" to you all.

[We now pan up past a black tanktop... tattoos are now evident as we are only seconds from seeing Harry's face.]

Harry Allen: They say that a true warrior is found within the body of one who is hungry, who is in need of proving their self-worth...

[We now come to the point where the camera lens is squarely focused on Harry Allen's face... His look, much different than his time in TCW, as his new persona seems to take on the likes of a tattooed misfit, in a way. His final message is sent forth from his very mouth as we continue to watch on.]

Harry Allen: 30 days... 720 hours... I will PROVE my relevance... [Pause] All with ONE Action...

[With that Harry Allen stairs down the camera with a heavy sense of intensity. The screen goes completely black as the words "Harry Allen to join PSW in 30 days" shows up across the screen. All the while, the generic rock anthem comes to a loud, and overwhelming, halt.]

Grade: D

Mitch Naess: The newest addition to the PSW roster is only 30 days away from his highly anticipated debut... The only question that still resides is... what does he mean that he will prove his relevance 'all in one action'?

Doc Messing: I haven't the slightest clue, Mitch... Then again, I'm sure he's bound to make a major splash next month!

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/DeanWaldorf.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/vs.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/HonestFrank.jpg

Dean Waldorf vs. Frankie Future w/ Nicole Kiss

Round #1 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

Frankie Future has recently been seen as a paragon of virtue... Well, as much as you can in a company like PSW. Therefore, in a sense, he's become a paragon of questionable virtue.... As he has stuck his neck out for Nicole Kiss for the last few months following a, somewhat, forced sexual advancement from "The Ring Generals" toward the former emotionally abused girlfriend of the departed Steven Parker. With that being said, Dean's pre-match flirting toward Nicole Kiss, not only made Nicole look away in an act of one without confidence, but also pissed off Frankie Future to no end. It looked as if he was trying to physically beat some respect out of Waldorf as the aging veteran threw the youngster from pillar to post... Using everything but the kitchen sink to inflict as much damage as possible.

It looked as if Frankie was in for a quick victory, however, that notion was quickly thwarted following a truly shocking PSW moment...

As Frankie was on the verge of pelting a kneeling Dean Waldorf with a steel chair... Nicole Kiss was seen sliding into the ring... Quickly lunging forward and hitting a low blow on the unsuspecting Frankie Future. Frankie, wincing in pain, quickly drops the steel chair and spins around to see that his attacker was none other than the very girl he has valiantly saved for months now. With a look of "What the f*ck?" running across his face... Nicole, with an evil smirk on her face, slams her hand into the face of Future... Pushing him backward and opening up a prime moment for Dean Waldorf to execute his signature "Waldorf Salad Toss" (Russian Leg Sweep w/ a punch to the groin on impact).... Picking up a standard three count from R.M. Stones as the crowd in attendance is in absolute shock!

Frankie finds his departure from the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" tournament much earlier than most expected.... and it's all because of Nicole Kiss's double-cross.

Dean Waldorf defeats Frankie Future in 10:17 via a "Waldorf Salad Toss" following a turn run-in by Nicole Kiss.

Grade: E+

Doc Messing: That B*TCH!

Mitch Naess: Just goes to show you that alliances in PSW are often short-lived....

Doc Messing: But this is more than just a fading alliance... Frankie stood up for that B*TCH! Put his body on the line on numerous occasions all in the name of protecting a woman in need....

Mitch Naess: I think Nicole has just gone from a truly sympathetic figure into one of THE most hated figures in PSW today! What a transformation....

Doc Messing: God, I hope Frankie gets his hands on that chick...

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/JohnGreed_alt.jpg

John Greed

... Details on KILLER Colossus ...

[in what has become quite typical from a John Greed/"Deadly Sin's" promo, John Greed is seen standing before a low-quality camera. The viewpoint tends to be quite shaky as the overall quality of the promo carries an underground, gritty, independent like film. Greed, with "Deadly Sin" members Primal Rage and Acedia standing behind him, delivers a message based upon the status of the M.I.A. KILLER Colossus. A look of deep concern running across his face the entire time.]

John Greed: You were suppose to burn for your SIN's, Alex. It was suppose to be YOU engulfed in flames... victim of your own hypocrisy. [Pauses and stairs into the camera intensely] but instead... You forced an innocent man into the flames of hell. How can you cheer such a man? How can you look to Alex Braun and consider him to be worthy of your praise? [Pause] They say that he has an "iron will"... A man who will never give up. However, I look at those very facts and derive a different outcome.... Alex Braun is nothing more than a monster... A physical personification of evil itself.... A man who sheds a blind eye to his own misfortunes, and yet, is praised for doing so. Meanwhile, those like us... Those who understand their plight... Embrace their short-comings... We're thrown to the wolves, pushed from society, and ultimately forced into a blazing inferno. [Pause] We have no idea where KILLER Colossus is at this point... His severely burned body was a sickening sight... Not a display of heroism from Braun... but rather a display of utter disregard for life. You may have forced him into the shadows... however, he won't lie there for long... [Evil Grin] and when he does come back... It will be you, the blind SINNER, that will crumble within his WRATH.

[John Greed, delivering an unsettling stint of demonic-like laughter, stairs deep into the camera.... Sending a message that KILLER Colossus may be M.I.A. at this point, however, in time... He will return... and return with a vengeance!]

Grade: C

Doc Messing: I wouldn't want to be Alex Braun at a time like this...

Mitch Naess: Definitely not.

Doc Messing: The funny thing is.... Greed speaks of Braun like he's some monster for setting Colossus on fire, however, if it was the other way around then we wouldn't hear the end of his pleads for justification.

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/AshCampbell_alt1.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/vs.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/BryanHolmes.jpg

Ash Campbell vs. Bryan Holmes

Round #1 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

The difference in stature was quite obvious from the very start as these two couldn't be farther from each other from a status standpoint. Bryan Holmes, arguably THE most popular and praised competitor in PSW, stood across the ring from Ash Campbell, a youngster with promise due to his genes however without any sense of luck as of late. Needless to say, It seemed like Ash came into this bout with a heavy sense of desperation.... Defeat someone like Bryan Holmes and his eventual rise could start much earlier than expected, however, to lose.... Would to place him in the position of still being yet another wrestler with the dreaded P word.... "Potential".

Ash's desperation looked more like an obsessive laced anxiety as the youngster intensely bounced around the ring in hopes of catching the accomplished veteran off-guard. While the aggressive mentality registered quite well with the crowd, as Ash started to look a little like his Father, the actual approach itself fell by the wayside pretty quickly as Bryan Holmes was, almost, always in full control of the match.

Ash kicked, screamed, and gave his best effort... however, Bryan knew exactly how to come away with the victory.... Allow Ash to burn himself out in the first minute and then move in for the kill. As the youngster was barely able to stand, a victim of Holmes's stretching, Ash was quickly swallowed up by a spinebuster from the internationally popular superstar... Followed up by a new signature submission hold from Holmes entitled "The Cornerstone Clutch" (Crossface Suplex).... A move that would force Ash into submission shortly after it's applied.

Bryan Holmes defeats Ash Campbell in 4:53 via "The Cornerstone Clutch".

Grade: D-

Mitch Naess: That didn't take long....

Doc Messing: Yea, these guys are coming from two different worlds.... The Internationally Proven Wrestler vs. the youngster with little to show for...

Mitch Naess: It's actually quite sad to see. I've spoken with Ash on many occasions and he REALLY wants to succeed in this sport, however, I haven't seen much, outside of his desire, to point toward the fact that he WILL be anything special.

Doc Messing: Must be tough with his Father being who he is.... If he came from a different family then maybe this would all be different. Less pressure.... A clearer head?

Mitch Naess: Maybe? Or maybe we wouldn't even see him in a PSW ring....

Dean Waldorf and Nicole Kiss

... "Playmates" ...

[We now cut to a grainy view of the former church basement, now make-shift locker room area for the PSW, of the "Ministry" Event Center. Within a few feet of the camera stands Dean Waldorf and Nicole Kiss entangled within each other. Waldorf, his back up against the wall, is being pinned there by Nicole Kiss as she leans up against him... Both of them making out with one another like they were in a 7th grade relationship, extremely sloppy with their delivery. As Waldorf's hand runs across Nicole's back, finally gripping at her butt, Nicole leans her head up against Waldorf's... Biting her lip and holding back a playful smirk on her face.]

Nicole Kiss: I always knew I would end up with you....

[Nicole's choice in boyfriends hasn't always been a successful one, however, this time around things seem different. Nicole, almost always seen as the passive one... the damsel in distress, now looks to be taking control of the situation... A true seductress at her best...]

Dean Waldorf: It's actually quite sad... [Laughs]... I think "Grandpa" (referring to Frankie Future) was starting to fall in love with you...

Nicole Kiss: [smirks] He was in love with who he thought I was.... but... I'm not that kind of girl.

Dean Waldorf: What's that?

Nicole Kiss: A good girl....

[Nicole flashes another smirk upon her face... This one perpetuated by raw sexuality. Following a heavy kissing session, with Nicole grabbing at the back of Dean's hair, the sexy seductress grabs Dean's hand and leads him into an undisclosed room.... The lights going off, the door shutting behind them, and the sounds of a rough sexual advancement taking place... Bodies hitting the wall, furniture being turned over, and an occasional playful laughter from Nicole. All in all, it looks as if the, once, damsel in distress was now in full control of her love life... Showing a whole new side of herself.]

Grade: E+

Mitch Naess: I'm shocked....

Doc Messing: I'm not... that b*tch had always put up a front like she was this wholesome damsel in distress, however, backstage.... She's known for her... well, how should I say it best?... Her slutty ways...

Mitch Naess: I guess I'm out of the loop...

Johnny Martin vs. Teddy Powell

Round #1 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

These two have been intertwined with one another through most of 2008 as Teddy Powell was a strong challenger to Martin's previous PSW Championship reign. "The Untouchables", Powell along with Mr. Morgan, may no longer seem as if they are a "well-oiled machine" (especially as the two haven't been seen with each other for quite some time now), however, their damage upon the former Champion speaks volumes even today. Powell, with his trademark confident smirk, running from ear to ear set the tone from the onset as the crafty, and often mischievous, PSW National Champion pulled out all the stops... Hoping to advance with the idea of potentially facing off for the very title he's been coveting since day one.... Even if it meant going through Mr. Morgan, a supposed ally still, to get to the gold.

It actually looked as if this was bound to happen as both the PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan, and his tentative ally, Bryan Holmes, stormed the ringside area.... Not so much helping Teddy Powell to defeat Martin as much as trying to knock the former Champion out of the tournament straight out of the gate. It's almost as if Holmes and Morgan had a pact together as they worked to floor Martin in the process.

Funny enough, as stated before, these two weren't really so much focused on helping Powell as much as knocking Martin out of competition.... As the overly popular PSW Tag Champions, "The Dirty White Boys", fresh off of a controversial loss for Lead Belly last month at the hands of Teddy Powell, stormed the ringside area.... Beating Powell senseless in the process.

Here it was... Both competitors being attacked 2 on 1.... Neither able to hold their ground due to the numbers game.

In the end, somehow, Johnny Martin was able to "clean house" by sending both Holmes and Morgan over the top rope with a series of major closelines. Shortly following his impressive stand, Martin would watch on as "The Dirty White Boys" completely floor Teddy Powell with their signature "Dirty Bomb" (Overhead Powerbomb through backward into a Big Boot). Upon impact Powell's body goes completely limp.... Giving Martin enough room to quickly slide in and pick up the 3 count from R.M. Stones as "The Dirty White Boys" stand along side Martin, in the ring, already celebrating their accomplishment (ruining Powell's chance of going onward in the tournament) with a round of beers.

Johnny Martin defeats Teddy Powell in 14:06 via a "Dirty Bomb" from the interfering "Dirty White Boys".

Grade: D+

Doc Messing: It looks like Holmes and Morgan were unsuccessful in their plan to knock Martin out of the tournament in the 1st round! Even with their help, "The Dirty White Boys" were the great equalizer... Helping Martin to conquer a 3 on 1 affair.

Mitch Naess: Just goes to show you... Don't mess with "The Dirty White Boys"... You piss those guys off and there is no running... They'll find you, as they did tonight, and they will make sure to levy a vicious beating!

Doc Messing: Through all the carnage one thing is for sure... Johnny Martin is moving on!

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/LeadBelly.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/GreaseHogg.jpg

"The Dirty White Boys"

... Celebration for their efforts ...

[With Teddy Powell losing to Johnny Martin, at the expense of "The Dirty White Boys" in a sense, there seems to be a feeling of celebration amongst the PSW Tag Champions. The tough-as-nails biker duo is seen climbing into the crowd, as they almost always do, carrying a six-pack a piece in the process. From there, the highly popular tag team is seen chugging back beer after beer with random crowd members... At one point, pouring alchohol all over a leather-clad biker chick as she calls for more! It should be noted that the fan member in question was wearing official "Dirty White boys" merchandise through PSW.com... So, it made her a pretty easy target for the Tag Champs.]

[shortly following, what can only be described as, an all out "booze fest"... "The Dirty White Boys" are seen leaving the ringside area on their classic steel hogs... Revving their engines for the overly supportive crowd as their legendary status continues to grow with the PSW fans]

Grade: D-

Doc Messing: I tell ya, Mitch... These guys are absolutely loved by this crowd!

Mitch Naess: That's because they are a true symbol of what the PSW crowd is looking for... Violent, hard-edged, mentally unstable fighters with a love for their alchohol.

Doc Messing: [Laughs] The "Holy Trinity" of PSW!

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/HonestFrank.jpg

Frankie Future

... Pissed and on his way to the ring ...

[Frankie Future is absolutely pissed off about what has transpired tonight and it shows in his demeanor. The grizzled NYC veteran storms his way through the backstage hallways on his way to the ringside area... Certainly with nothing but evil intentions in mind.]

[Recently scorned by the one he had protected for months, Frankie looks to be locked in a state of extreme rage... Turning each corner with a resounding look of hatred pouring off of his face. As he turns the last corner toward the ring... The overall vibe begins to turn drastically toward a renewed sense of utter chaos... Frankie's pissed... and he's on his way to inflict as much pain as possible on either Dean Waldorf, Nicole Kiss, or both...]

Grade: D

Doc Messing: That's right Frankie.... F*ck them up!

Mitch Naess: It's easy to see that Frankie Future is hell-bent on extracting some revenge from Dean Waldorf and his new "play-mate"... Nicole Kiss.

Doc Messing: That B*tch deserves what's coming to her...

Mitch Naess: Now Doc...

Doc Messing: I don't care about your "PC" bullcrap Mitch.... Nicole Kiss played Frankie like a fool... for months now. She deserves every last inch of what's coming her way!

Bryan Holmes vs. Dean Waldorf

Round #2 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

No one expected to see Dean Waldorf walk away with the victory over someone like Bryan Holmes... That said, absolutely no one thought the outcome of their bout would unfold this way. Despite looking as if he was ready to pounce on Dean himself... Frankie Future really did the bulk of the work to subdue the "Ring General" member. Actually, Bryan didn't have to do anything what so ever, other than stand in the corner and watch on, as Frankie Future violently assaulted the youngster all the way down the iselway and into the ring. R.M. Stones called for the opening bell... but... Waldorf and Holmes would never lock up... never exchange punches... Hell, never even look each other in the eye. Instead, the irate Future ripped into his bitter rival... Forcing him into a "Frank-N-Hurter" (Stunner) which sent Waldorf flying across the ring. As Frankie slowly exited the ring, looking down upon Dean the entire time, Bryan Holmes is seen slowly walking over toward his motionless oponent... Simply stepping his right foot up onto his chest and picking up a standard 3 count. The easiest match he's ever had in his storied career.

Bryan Holmes defeats Dean Waldorf in 0:32 via a "Frank-N-Huter" from an interfering Frankie Future.

Grade: D-

Mitch Naess: All chaos continues to ensue as Bryan Holmes advances in the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" tournament without having to lay a finger on his opponent!

Doc Messing: The second match in a row where the actual competitors aren't the real focus.... but rather, those who are interfering really take the focus. Well, all in all, it looks like Bryan Holmes is moving forward!

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/JohnnyMartin.jpg

Johnny Martin

... Pre-Match Attack ...

[it all came to happen as Johnny Martin's theme music was blaring over the "Ministry" Event Center's low budget sound system. The song, some generic rock rip off as PSW does all of their own "in-house" music to cut on costs, fills the once sacred walls as everyone expects to see the former PSW Champion come out of the back with a sense of thunderous glory. However, that image was never seen. Instead, Martin is seen stumbling through the black curtains... Obviously the victim of a backstage attack on his way to the ringside area. Martin, crashing to the cement floor just outside of the entrance way, tries to pull himself back up to his feet, however, before he can... Bryan Holmes is seen viciously kicking him square in the stomach... Sending him back to the cold cement below.]

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/BryanHolmes.jpg

Bryan Holmes

... The Attacker ...

[The attack would wage on for quite some time as Bryan Holmes uses a collection of violent strikes to subdue the former PSW Champion. It looked as if things were about to settle down when all of a sudden Bryan Holmes pulled the steel steps away from the ring. Various crowd members are heard aggressively yelling in the direction of the attacker, Holmes, as one livid fan member goes as far to throw his beer square in the face of the hated technician. This would generate a wild atmosphere as Holmes quickly reaches out for the crowd member, however, is held back by a smattering of security guards who are now on the scene... Pushing Holmes away and escorting the unruly fan member out of the "Ministry".]

[With a heightened sense of rage, Holmes quickly turns back toward Martin... Setting him up for a Fisherman's Suplex... however, instead of taking him up over the top... Holmes ends up dropping Martin forward... Slamming his trapped knee square upon the steel steps below. The sickening thud of Martin's knee colliding with steel is heard through out the entire hall as most look to be sickened by such a maneuver.]

[As crowd members continue to aggressively boo THE most hated man in PSW, Bryan Holmes, his victim, Johnny Martin, lays face down on the cold cement below... Gripping his right knee and vocally exploding due to an immense level of pain.]

Grade: D+

Mitch Naess: Johnny Martin may be severely injured following a maneuver like that.... [Pause] I do believe I heard something breaking upon his descent.

Doc Messing: There's no way that Martin stands a chance against Alex Braun now... No way what so ever.

Mitch Naess: Crazier things have happened.... however, I agree.... Bryan Holmes just sealed Martin's fate.

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/AlexBraun_alt.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/vs.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/JohnnyMartin.jpg

Alex Braun vs. Johnny Martin

Round #2 - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

Johnny Martin was barely able to stand. His right leg was so severely injured that, at best, he could hobble around the ring. Needless to say, the former PSW Champion was not at 100% what so ever as he stepped into the ring with an extremely tough competitor like Alex Braun. The match itself centered around the story of Johnny Martin trying to, once again, overcome all odds... This time, with a major injury to his right knee, as well as the continued presence of Mr. Morgan and Bryan Holmes on the outside of the ring. The shocking duo didn't lay a finger on Martin once the bell rang, however, the fact that they were there was enough to hinder the former Champ's focus.

With an injured knee, two rivals staring on from the outside, and an obsessively hungry Alex Braun as his opponent, it looked very bleak for Johnny Martin. Then again... To be against Johnny Martin would be nothing short of insane.

Despite hobbling around the ring, and at some points having his leg give out completely on him, Johnny Martin found a way to stage a major comeback. Through out most of the match, Alex was in full control of the situation... however, that was slowly starting to fade. Sensing that his shot may be slipping, Braun began to take cheap shots on Martin's knee... Pulling no stops what so ever, and ultimately, slowing down Martin's momentous resurgence.

Alex Braun went for his signature "Braun Damage" (Spike DDT).....

However, Johnny Martin found a way to counter his advance.... Instead, slipping out of Braun's finisher.... and hitting his own signature move, "Twist on the Rocks" (Twisting Neck Breaker), despite barely being able to stand. The crowd erupts upon impact as Johnny Martin quickly leaps atop his motionless oponent... Picking up a shocking three count from R.M. Stones as the former Champion moves on in dramatic fashion.

Johnny Martin defeats Alex Braun in 9:39 via a "Twist on the Rocks".

Grade: D-

Doc Messing: Holy Sh*t!! [Pause] I can't believe he came away with the win.... how'd he do that?

Mitch Naess: Even on one leg Johnny Martin is able to overcome the odds to make it to the finals of the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament!

Doc Messing: He's been the main target of both Bryan Holmes and PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan, since the opening of the show... And yet.... He's made it this far!

Mitch Naess: Now all he has to do is defeat Bryan Holmes, the very man who injured his knee, to once again compete for the PSW Championship!

Doc Messing: I don't know how he's going to make it through this one though.... His knee looks to be in really bad shape... You know that Bryan Holmes is going to practically tear that thing off with an array of submission holds...

Mitch Naess: You're right... This one may get a little graphic if things go Holmes's way.

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/JohnnyMartin.jpg

Johnny Martin

... "Bring it on" ...

[Johnny Martin is barely able to stand.... Scratch that, Martin looks as if his body has gone through absolute HELL as he desperately pulls himself up to his feet.... Putting no weight on his injured leg as he bends forward slightly, wincing in pain. That's when it happened.... A truly historic moment in PSW history, hell... wrestling history, as the severely injured Martin stairs down his upcoming opponent, and the very man who injured him, Bryan Holmes... Growing increasingly frustrated with his physical health, however, denying himself the chance of stepping away from a fight.... Instead, slowly extending his arms out briefly to motion for Holmes to "come get some".]

[As Bryan Holmes looks on from the outside in amazement... Johnny Martin begins to roughly yell in his direction... declaring Holmes to "come on" (as it pertains to starting the final leg of the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" tournament) and ultimately creating an iconic image of the former PSW Champion. Despite being physically limited, looking as if he had just suffered a severe car accident, the injured NYC legend stands ready for a fight.... Ready for the potential of revenge.]

Grade: C

Doc Messing: Say what you want.... Call us a bunch of "Hardcore freaks"... Talentless hacks... However, when it comes to the end of the day... How can you deny Johnny Martin the respect he's given? This man has gone through hell and back, pardon the cliché, and yet.... Here he stands.... Practically begging for more.

Mitch Naess: This will go down as one of the most historic moments in PSW history... The day that Johnny Martin stared down his own mortality and didn't back down for a second.

http://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/BryanHolmes.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/vs.jpghttp://i880.photobucket.com/albums/ac8/TonyZobeck/Show%20Minis/JohnnyMartin.jpg

Bryan Holmes vs. Johnny Martin

FINAL - "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Tournament

The crowd was buzzing already from Johnny Martin's gladiator-esque challenge to his opponent, Bryan Holmes, barely able to stand on his own two feet in the ring. So when the mysterious steel cage was lowered upon the ring, Bryan Holmes still standing outside of it, everyone was completely confused. Seconds later, Mitch Naess was heard stepping away from commentary for a quick second to stand up from the commentary table and speak out, via a microphone, addressing what was about to come next.

Mitch Naess: To ensure that we have a fair contest in our finale.... Tonight's main event will be held within the confines of a Steel Cage! [Crowd pop] Let the best man walk away as not only the first ever victor of the "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" tournament... but also the NEW #1 Contender to the PSW Championship!

Bryan Holmes, slowly building an evil grin upon his face, knows that a steel cage plays well into his favor as Johnny Martin is barely able to stand. The internationally acclaimed superstar slowly steps into the ring through a nearby steel door... Quickly pouncing on the injured Johnny Martin and forcing him down to the mat with a violent clutched hip toss. From there, Bryan Holmes would use the steel walls as a continuous weapon... Slamming Martin's head, body, and obviously his injured knee, up against the unforgiving steel.... over... and over again. At one point, Doc Messing was calling (via the commentary table) for R.M. Stones to call the match in Holmes's favor.... Even challenging Mitch Naess to "do the right thing" as Johnny Martin was a physical wreck.

It didn't take long for Johnny Martin to shed blood from his forehead as his opponent took ever chance he got to use the steel confines as a weapon. Sure, Johnny was able to generate some offense here and there... however, it was always short lived as his limitations came into play almost always.

With the PSW Champion, Mr. Morgan, watching from outside of the steel cage.... Bryan Holmes executed a sickening DDT on Martin... but instead of placing his head through his arms, in which to spike, the technically superior Holmes actually spiked Morgan's knee upon the bloody canvas below. Upon impact, Martin was heard screaming out in pain... Holding his knee as he desperately tried to block out the immense torture he had been forced through tonight.

With Martin laying on his side... Gripping his knee in pain... Bryan Holmes slowly walks over to the steel cage wall... Almost in a taunting like fashion as he takes his sweet time climbing up the wall. Martin, trying to get back to his feet, collapses back to the canvas as his right knee is far too injured to hold his weight... Instead, he's forced to watch Bryan Holmes climb over the top of the cage and to the outside... Staring at Martin the entire time as there is nothing that the former PSW Champion can do!

Bryan Holmes defeats Johnny Martin in 17:30 via escaping the steel cage.

Grade: C

Mitch Naess: Your new PSW #1 Contender, Bryan Holmes!

Doc Messing: What a cheap victory.... Both Holmes and Morgan pretty much made it their goal to injure Johnny Martin tonight... Thus giving Holmes a better chance of coming away with the #1 Contendership!

Mitch Naess: True... Their brief alliance seemed to be centered around their hatred of Martin. With that being said, I wonder if Mr. Morgan had really thought this through completely as these two allies are now going to compete one-on-one... Next month... For the PSW Championship!

Doc Messing: Oh, he thought about it.... He knew that he couldn't defeat Johnny Martin again... so what did he do? He staged an alliance with Bryan Holmes so that he could "hand choose" his next challenger! Even if Holmes is a "Grade A" oponnent... Mr. Morgan must know how to defeat the man or else he wouldn't have placed himself in this situation.

Great show Eisen! Keep it up. Love the new risque/edgieness of the angles and commentary.

Thanks Hyde!

I was re-evaluating PSW a few days back and realized that I was missing out on the whole "Risque" side of things. I think, in my mind, I was waiting for it to start to come out... however, I wanted to get a feel for my characters before the product really took shape. Nicole's turn was always in the back of mind mind as the catalyst for a more "risque" approach to story telling. With her playing a... well... a sl*tty seductress... It will def. bring some more risque angles in the future.

Overall, I really want to try to convey as much "edge" as possible... Really create an underground feel for PSW.

There are some major storylines still on the way that will continue to push the envelope. Some of it may be risky, in some ways, however, It'll all be done in a way to further stories.

Backstage @ "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" Live Event

... Billy Russell/Alex Braun Altercation ...

Often times in Pro Wrestling there tends to be a Storyline developing "on stage" (in the ringside area) as well as "off stage" (the backstage/locker room area). Tonight was no different....

Billy Russell appeared to be in a bad mood from the second he showed up at the "Ministry" Event Center. I tried to talk to him earlier on in the night, however, it was clear that the former MMA star was sifting through some personal problems, outside of wrestling, from the very second he stepped through the doorway to the locker room area.

Typically, we ask for our superstars to "check their baggage at the door", at least so says a make-shift sign made of white printer paper and a black sharpie stationed above the locker room entrance. However, it was clear that Russell was "on edge" already.

So, as the show went on, Russell's internal frustration was let out in a destructive manor as he began to talk sh*t about PSW veteran, Alex Braun. Braun, in the room from the start, began to take offense to Russell's comments after the international superstar began to mock the elder Braun... In a sense, calling him an "Ancient Wrestler".

As you could guess.... Alex didn't take this very well.

So, here I stood, having to deal with my very first "backstage arguement"... Trying to tip-toe around both of their ego's... Afraid to say the wrong thing... Ultimately creating a much more tense atmosphere then there would need to be.

As fellow PSW wrestlers began to separate the two, luckily forcing them away from each other, I swept in for the "kill"... Pulling Russell aside in the shower room... Sending a strong message to our prized superstar... However, making sure that it doesn't come across like an attack as we NEED Russell to be happy...

"What was that all about?"

"Nothing."

"F*ck that, Russell. It's about something... What's your deal man?"

"Nothing."

Billy, his nostrils flaring, looks me square in my eyes... Looking as if he was on the verge of a vicious MMA fight.

"Seriously, Billy. We need everyone to be on the same page. ya know? You're being prepped as a big star in this company.... We can't have you walking around pissing off everyone in the back. [Pause] We need you to set an example... Not create the opposite."

Billy stood a few feet from me... Still holding his jaw tightly as it looks like he's really in the mood to lay someone out... Instead of listening to me jabber on and on.

"I'm not going to come down on you hard or anything because honestly... I know how tempers can flare. However, in the future, lets try to keep this kind of thing at the door. okay?"

"Gotcha boss, I'll make sure it doesn't happen again."

I didn't believe him... Not for one bit. However, what was I going to do? Continue to drill the guy? Potentially "rub him the wrong way"? I needed to make sure that Billy was happy... That he was focused and ready for the task at hand.

... To piss him off would surely drown any chance of resigning the man when his contract runs up in 5 months ...

Meant to post after you posted the show and I had a chance to read it... Good work. Solid show. I agree with Hyde that I like the direction that things are taking.

I also like the idea of taking a backstage incident and creating a diary segment around it. Not sure if its been done before or not, but I like it.

I could recall a ton of diaries that had mentioned discipline issues, but I couldn't off hand recall one that had done the actual segment around it. Seemed unlikely, though, which is why I didn't just say "Hey, way to do something new!"
