RAW explodes onto Monday night TV screens as Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler waste no time in hyping tonights main event of HHH vs The Rock in a 3Stages of Hell match for WWF Undisputed Title. Lillian Garcia is backstage and greets an arriving Rock at the back door of the arena.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/x2z7ht_the-rock-lilian-garcia-the-p.jpg

Lillian: Rock, Rock can I please have a minute

Rock stops in front of Lillian and looks her up and down, he raises the people's eyebrow

The Rock: Well hullo there Ms Lillian, you'd like a minute with The Rock? The Rock just arrived here, The Rock has just arrived he hasn't even put his bags down and you want a minute? Well The Rock has already eaten some warm pie tonight and he's in a good mood so he'll give you a minute. What would you like to do in this minute we now have together Lillian?

Lillian: Well Rock, I.. I thought I could ask you come questions... some questions about your match tonight with Triple H.

The Rock: You want to ask The Rock about his WWF Undisputed Title defense against Triple H, what would you like to know Lillian? How The Rock is gonna teach Hunter Hearst Hemaroid how to layeth the smackdown? The Rock has already tried to teach Triple H, he's a slow learner and The Rock has no patience. No patience in the ring that is momma...

The Rock wrestle's his trouser snake from lunging at Lillian

Lillian: So Rock is there anything in particular you'll be aiming for tonight in your match?

The Rock: Well of course The Rock has an aim in his match tonight, do you think The Rock came back to Texas without a plan? The Rock always has a plan. Tonight here live in Dallas, Texas The Rock has every intention of taking this size 16 boot, pouring some gumboo on it and some of that Texas HOT Sauce all over it. Then he intends to take that boot, turning that sumbitch side ways and stick it straight up Triple H's candy ass! How does that sound for an aim for the match? If you smellllllllllllllllelelelelelllaaaaaaalllllllllaaa.... what The Rock.... is...... cooking.

Rock drops his mic and brushes past Lillian leaving Lillian speechless.

Angle remains in the ring after his victory of Val Venis and grabs a mic. Angle cuts a promo on Austin letting him know he's not happy about having to share the #1 Contender position with him but that he'll listen to Vince's orders and not interfere or jeopardize any of RAW's matches. Angle wishes both Triple H and The Rock luck ahead of their match tonight and tells them he looks forward to making whoever wins tap at The King of The Ring PPV next month.

3 Stages of Hell

WWF Undisputed Championship

The Rock© vs Triple H

JR and Lawler run down the rules of the 2/3 fall contest. They highlight the first will be a Normal bout, the second match will be Street Fight and the final match if needed a Last Man Standing. Earl Hebner rings for the bell and Triple H takes the early advantage with a running high knee catching The Rock of guard. Hunter takes Rock down and holds control with a headlock. Rock makes a few little comebacks but Hunter is on his game and takes Rock back to the mat on each occasion. The fight spills to the outside and HHH slams Rock into the ringpost shoulder first and continues with a brutal irish whip into the steel stairs. Hunter slides Rock back into the ring on Hebner's 8 count and sets up Rock for a Pedigree, Rock reverses though and hits a Rock Bottom. A slow cover and Hunter kicks out at 2. Rock goes for another Rock Bottom but HHH counters into a spinning spinebuster. Hunter locks in an inverted Indian deathlock, Rock reaches the ropes but is pulled back to the middle of the ring. Rock breaks the deathlock but is limping, he goes for another Rock Bottom, HHH counters into a Pedigree but Rock manages to escape sending Hunter crashing onto his back. Rock now takes off his left elbow pad, he signals to the crowd for the People's Elbow and bounces off the ropes. Hunter is playing possum though and catches Rock in a roll up pin, HHH with his foot on the ropes for leverage, 1, 2, 3! Hunter takes the first fall as JR goes over the replay and highlights the significance of HHH using the bottom rope to his advantage in the pinning predicament.

Referee Earl Hebner calls for the second bell to be rung and Triple H wastes no time jumping to the outside in search of weapons for the Street Fight. He pushes a ringcrew guy off a chair and takes it into the ring, he goes straight to work on The Rock's already damaged ribs. Hunter drops the chair on the canvas and sets up The Rock for another Pedigree, this time on steel. Rock counters and hits a Pedigree of his own on the chair! Rock with a Kip-up that sends the crowd into a frenzy, he throws his remaining right elbow pad into the sold out Moody Coliseum fans and bounces off the ropes.... People's Elbow connects and Hunters head goes bouncing off the steel chair. Rock makes the cover 1, 2....3! Rock takes the second fall.

JR and King point out the thrid and final bout is Last Man Standing as the bell rings to signify the start. Hunter is split open now from the People's Elbow onto the steel chair, Hebner pushes off an attacking Rock and starts a ten count. Hunter gets too his feet at 7 and Hebner waves in The Rock who goes on the attack. Rock with a DDT onto the steel chair, JR points out the move is legal in a Last Man Standing match. Hebner starts another ten count but Hunter answers again this time at 9! Rock looks on in disbelief, he jumps to the outside and grabs his WWF Undisputed Title. Rock lines up HHH but Hunter ducks and delivers a Pedigree out of nowhere! Hebner commences the ten count on The Rock, Rock staggers too his feet at 8 and Triple H nails him straight away with the WWF Undisputed Title. Rock answers another close ten count but HHH stays on the attack. Rock is laid out in the middle of the ring and Hunter eyes off the top rope. Looking for any answers to keep Rock down for the count Triple H climbs the top turbuckle. Rock with another Kip-up, he catches Hunter on the top rope and the Champion and challenger exchange punches in unison with the fans cheers and jeers. Rock gets the better of the brawl, JR and King point out both men look uneasy on the top rope and Rock looks to be trying something new. The Rock turns Triple H so both are facing eachother halfway inverted on the turnbuckle, he launches off

the top rope and takes HHH with him.....

JR: Top Rope Rock Bottom!!! Top Rope Rock Bottom!!! Top Rope Rock....

Hebner stands in awe of the carnage at his feet for a few seconds before commencing the ten count on both men. He gets to 8 and The Rock and HHH are both staggering to their feet, The Rock clutches the middle rope and pulls himself too his feet at 9. Hunter is doing the same but he can't pull himself up and slips off the rope collapsing too the mat. The Rock wins but drops back too his feet before Hebner can raise his hand in victory.

I recruited superstars I know are the greatest performers on this planet. I took measures to ensure the jealous RAW brand wouldn't interfere in Nitro events. But it still isn't good enough! I took WCW from a backyard playground for Ted Turner and transformed it into the World's biggest wrestling company. I stand here tonight though in dismay! A few weeks ago I signed one of the biggest names this industry has ever seen to the Nitro brand. A name that could make a no name wannabe into a star. I brought in the most fierce competitor I have ever seen step foot in this ring... I brought in Goldberg! Now you'd think Nitro superstars would be tripping over themselves at a chance to</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> beat one of WCW's biggest stars but alas, it seems there are more yellow belly's then black belts! Had I been a few years younger and still training I'd challenge Goldberg in a heart beat, I'd challenge Goldberg because I'm passionate about this sport, I'd challenge Goldberg to make a name for myself, hell I'd challenge Goldberg just to impress the new boss! </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span><span>http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/BuffBagwell-2.jpg</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span><span style="font-size:8px;"><em>Buff Bagwell's music hits and he makes his way to the ring...</em></span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> </span><span style="font-size:8px;"><strong>Bagwell:</strong></span><span style="font-size:8px;"> Excuse me Mr Bischoff, excuse me. I've already made my decision on who Goldberg will face this Sunday on PPV. I knew none of you would step up and be a man so I made the decision myself. I want to see if "The Animal" still has it, I want to see if we'll all be asking the question after The Great American Bash "Who's Next?". I want Goldberg to face a real Nitro superstar. My best wrestlers happen to be involved in a tournament at the moment which poses a problem for me. Booker T has already secured himself a spot in the main event for the WCW World Heavyweight Title and will face whoever wins the semi-final of Edge vs Hogan tonight here on Nitro! It dawned on me earlier that whoever loses in the Edge vs Hogan match will have no match for Nitro's first ever PPV. So I've</span></p><p><span style="font-size:8px;"> decided that this Sunday at The Great American Bash, Goldberg will go one on one with the loser of the Edge vs Hulk Hogan matchup tonight! I'm sure this will give you both extra incentive to reach the final of the tournament. Edge, Hulk Hogan I wish you both all the luck in the World ahead of your match tonight. Keep in mind if you don't win tonight it could be you.... <p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">Friday 17 May, 2002</span></span></strong></p><p> </p><p> Nitro this week hit a new rock bottom, I expected a decent match from Edge and Hogan but they just don't click at all and it ruined the show. I would've been better off letting Flair and Hall take the main event spot or even The Hardy Boyz vs Los Guerreros was a better outing. Buff Bagwell vs Rey Mysterio

Buff taunts Rey before the match commences coming to the ring wearing a lucha mask of his own. #1 Contender Match

Ric Flair vs The Undertaker

The two veteran legends unload on eachother at the sound of the bell. They go punch for punch in the obvious grudge match of the night. The match spills to the outside and referee Nick Patrick struggles to retake control. Taker hits a suplex on the outside steel entrance ramp and slips back into the ring to break the ten count. The Deadman stays on the attack sending Flair flying into the corner ringpost shoulder first. Taker sets up Flair on the steel stairs for a Tombstone but Flair wiggles free. The Nature Boy hits a low blow on Taker from behind and takes over the attack. Back in the ring Flair nails The Undertaker with some wicked chops before setting him up on the top rope. Flair goes for a Superplex and connects, Flair grabs ahold of Taker's leg and lets out a "Whooooo" setting up for a Fiugure Four Leg-Lock. The Nature Boy locks in his signature hold but Taker is still out cold... The Undertaker sits straight up and grabs Flair by the throat. Flair releases the Figure Four Leg-Lock and he looks at The Undertaker like he's seen a ghost. Taker stands up with his hand still firmly wrapped around Flair's throat. The Undertaker pulls Flair straight up to his feet and into a Chokeslam. Taker picks Flair up off the ground and delivers a Last Ride for the 1, 2, 3.

Edge vs Goldberg

Goldberg's entrance takes over 5 minutes and the announcers put over the fact that it must have a negative effect on Edge. Goldberg finally enters the ring but it takes another 2 minutes for the two to lock up. The crowd don't seem to mind and a duel chant begins for each competitor. Edge takes a huge risk and attempts a Spear out of nowhere, Goldberg escapes only by inches and leaves Edge to smash into the corner turnbuckle head first. Goldberg shakes his head at Edge and lets out a snarl, The Animal begins his stalking stance. Edge staggers to his feet still grabbing his head looking for a wound and Goldberg launches hitting him perfectly in the mid-section with a Spear. Goldberg goes bezerk and goes after Edge like a savage, he hits a front powerslam and quickly follows with a double underhook suplex. Goldberg

lets out another growl and signals for his signature Jackhammer pin. He hoists Edge vertically into the air like and slowly spins around so each part of the arena can get a money shot before driving Edge into the canvas. Nick Patrick slides in to make the 3 count and Goldberg picks up the win in a brutal explosive debut encounter.

WCW World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Final

Booker T vs Hulk Hogan

Booker T makes his way to the ring keeping his eye on the WCW World Heavyweight Title which is placed on a pedestal encased in glass at ringside being flanked by a team of Nitro officials. The nWo music hits and Hulk Hogan struts out from behind the cutrain strumming his air guitar. He is joined by his nWo members Nash, Hall and X-Pac and they make their way to the ring. They're stopped by Arn Anderson from the Nitro staff and told to leave Hogan to fight one on one. Anderson is joined by a few more road agents and some security members outnumbering the nWo. Hogan laughs off the confrontation and tells his stable members to fall back, he pats Nash on the back and sends the nWo to the back. Hulk eventually makes his way to the ring and rips off his nWo shirt.

Nick Patrick signals for the bell and Booker T and Hogan lock up, Hogan sends Booker T flying back winning a feats of strength. He hulks up and taunts Booker T gesturing his "five time" hand routine. Hogan takes the early advantage and slows the match down to his pace. The announcers point out even with Hulk Hogan's recent heel turn he's still a legend in the ring and one of the best which he's displaying tonight. Booker T makes a comeback and hits a 110th Street Slam, he makes the cover but Hogan kicks out at 2. Booker T still in control sets up Hogan for a Book End but Hogan elbows him in the head and hits a kneeling side slam of his own. Hogan makes the cover 1, 2, Booker kicks out at a close 2. Hogan whips Booker T off the ropes and sets him up for a Big Boot but Booker T ducks and connects with a diving forearm smash. Booker T finds a burst of energy and picks up the tempo

nailing Hogan with vicious knife–edged chop followed by a Harlem Sidekick nailing Hulk in the head. Hogan stumbles to his feet but Booker T meets him with a Book End! Booker T makes the cover 1, 2.... Hogan kicks out furiously and begins to Hulk Up! Booker T connects with another loud knife–edged chop but Hogan no sells it. Booker T loads up a chop again, this time Hogan shakes his head, Booker goes for a third and Hogan blocks it and shakes his finger. Hogan unloads now with big rights sending Booker T back onto the ropes. Hogan whips Booker T setting him up again for a Big Boot but Booker goes crashing into Nick Patrick knocking the referee out. Hulk delivers a Leg Drop to both Booker T and calls to the back, the nWo appear and make their way to the ring. The Nitro officials with Arn Anderson at the lead again

confront Nash Hall and X-Pac on the entrance ramp. Hogan joins the chaos on the outside leaving Booker T and the ref laid out in the ring. While the cameras are covering the mayhem the nWo is creating...

Tenay: It's a plant! It's a plant!

Dusty: What on Earth are you talking about Tenay?

Tenay: It's a plant in the crowd!

Taz: He's right Dusty look at that!

A huge wrestler steps over the barrier at ringside in a mask and wearing a trenchcoat. He steps over the top rope and enters the ring, he takes the trenchcoat off to reveal an nWo shirt.

Tenay: Well I'm pretty sure I know who that is to, unless he has a twin brother I'd say that's....

The Big Show takes off his mask and forms the nWo hand symbol. He picks up Booker T and delivers a Showstopper, he continues the attack and nails Booker with another Showstopper. Big Show finishes his assault on Booker T with a Final Cut and jumps back to the outside. Hogan returns to the ring and hits 3 Leg Drops on Booker T, Hulk makes the cover and scores the tainted win for the WCW World Heavyweight Title.

Thanks FC, I wasn't sure about putting the strap on Hogan but he was red hot at that time so I figured he was deserving of a run. The biggest thing I'm trying to put over is the fact that RAW & Nitro are totally seperate brands so I'm stoked it's coming across when reading. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

He loudly asks who's going to throw him back into the ring if he happens to fall out and laughs sarcastically at his own joke. Big Show's self ammusement is short lived though as Kane's mucis wipes the smile of his face. The Big Red Machine makes his way to ringside and joins the other lumberjacks. Angle takes Show by suprise while he's busy taunting Kane on the outside and hits him with a top rope missile drop kick from behind. Angle bounces off the ropes and smashes Show with a european uppercut but the giant is still on his feet. Angle bounces off the opposite ropes and goes for a clothesline but Show stops him in his tracks with a boot to the face. Big Show takes control of the match and manhandles Angle starting with some vicious chops to the chest. Big Show goes for a Showstopper but Angle slips out and rolls to the outside. Show walks to the ropes and taunts the lumberjacks, Angle grabs ahold of his ankle and trips the big man taking him down to the canvas and hanging off the apron under the bottom rope. Regal jumps up onto the apron on the opposite side of the apron and gains referee Earl Hebner's attention leaving Show at the mercy of the RAW lumberjacks. Farooq and Bradshaw are the first and waste no time making it clear they've taken up issue with Big Show's betrayal of Vince McMahon. JR details the APA's loyalty to McMahon and the WWF name as the tag team pull Big Show to the outside and lay into him with stiff boots. Kane enters the fray and pushes off Bradshaw and Farooq but only so he can assault Big Show himself. Kane picks up Show and delivers a Tombstone Piledriver on the outside. Jeff Hardy follows with a Swenton Bomb off the top rope. Jericho jumps in next and locks in the Walls of Jericho, Shamrock joins in a double team submission and applies his Ankle Lock to Big Show. Hebner sees the assault and instructs the lumberjacks to return Show to the ring. The RAW superstars roll Big Show's lifeless body back into the squared circle and Angle drags him to the middle. Kurt climbs the top rope and hits a Moonsault, he makes the cover and Hebner makes the 3 count sending Big Show off in style.</p><p> </p><p> <strong>Angle via Pinfall 16:08</strong></p><p><strong> Rating: B+</strong></p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="23302" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;"><span style="font-size:12px;">Quick Results</span></span></strong><p> </p><p> Funaki def K-1 F+</p><p> <strong>Jericho def J.Hardy B</strong></p><p><strong> RP Gee def Richards D</strong></p><p><strong> Farooq def D'Lo D+</strong></p><p><strong> Perfect def Albert C-</strong></p><p><strong> RVD def Goldust B</strong></p><p><strong> Angle def Big Show B+</strong></p><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="font-size:12px;">Overall Rating: </span></strong> <span>http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/grade_bplus-1.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</p><p> </p></div></blockquote></div><p></p><p></p>

Hulk hypes himself as the greatest wrestler to ever step foot in the ring and calls himself the Babe Ruth of wrestling. He praises the nWo and mentions they are taking over again with X-Pac winning the WWF Cruiserweight Title on Sunday and Kevin Nash and Scott Hall on their way to claiming the WWF Tag Team Titles. Hogan finishes his promo by sarcastically congratualting The Undertaker on defeating Ric Flair at The Great American Bash and becoming the #1 Contender for his title.

Rey Mysterio vs Tajiri

A high paced cruiserweight matchup to open Nitro. Tenay, Rhodes and Taz claim that Nitro is the "International brand" where the World's best compete and the current bout is an example of that. Tenay reminds the viewers that WCW were the innovators of the cruiserweight division and puts over Rey Mysterio's accomplishments while competing in it. Tajiri hits a Shining Wizard and makes the cover but Rey kicks out at two. Mysterio makes a comeback and connects with a running bulldog, he bounces off the ropes and goes for a 619 but Tajiri catches him while swinging off the rope and locks in a Tarantula in an amazing counter. Referee Charles Robinson eventually breaks the hold but Rey is hurt and Tajiri takes control connecting with a Diamond dust. Tajiri makes another cover but Rey kicks out at an even closer two count. Tajiri stalks Rey now and waits for him too stand, Mysterio gets to his feet and Tajiri looks to finish him off with a Buzzsaw Kick... but Mysterio ducks! Rey bounces off the ropes and hits a running crossbody, he follows with a split–legged moonsault. Tajiri is wobbly on his feet and Rey hits the top rope again and bouces off connecting with a West Coast Pop! Mysterio makes the cover for the 1, 2, 3!

Flair says The Undertaker only proved that he was better on that night and not the better man. The Nature Boy goes on to say Taker may have come out on top in both encounters they've had recently but Flair is still standing strong. He tells The Undertaker that he

Nick Patrick raises Ric Flair's hand in the ring. The Nature Boy's music hits to signal his victory over Noble but moments later it's cut off, the lights go out and the arena becomes pitch black. The ring fills with smoke and the Titantrons display a creepy graveyard which give off enough light to reveal a horified look on Flair's face. A voice loud, deep voice comes over the stadium...

"Flair you speak of a war, you speak of battles lost. Soon you will face the war you seek, and then you will.... Rest.... In.... Peace!"

The lights come back on and The Nature Boy rolls out of the ring and makes his way to the back clearly shaken. Mike Tenay, Dusty Rhodes and Taz point out The Undertaker is the #1 Contender for the WCW World Heavyweight Title and has already beaten Flair twice over the past few months but is obviously still obsessed with destroying The Nature Boy. The Nitro announcers mention the obvious tensions added towards the fuel considering the WWF vs WCW rivalry that looks to be resurfacing.

Edge makes a point to stay focused before the bell sounds staying in his corner and not paying attention to Goldberg's intimidating entrance. The match gets underway and Edge goes to lock up with Goldberg but is beaten in a feats of strength. Edge tries to take the match to the ground but Goldberg overpowers him and goes on the attack. Goldberg with a strong advantage late in the match nails Edge with a running powerslam. Edge gets to his feet and "The Animal" stalks him setting him up for a Spear, Goldberg launces but Edge moves and sends him flying too the outside landing hard on the concrete. Edge takes the fight to Goldberg and follows him out of the ring. Edge stalks Goldberg now waiting for him to get too his feet, Goldberg stands and Edge goes for his Spear but he's grabbed from under the ring

and tripped. It's Big Show!

Tenay: The Giant again!

Taz: Err,don't you mean Big Show Tenay

Tenay: Yes of course, Big Show! He's a giant, is what I meant.

Dusty: He sure is, the man is the personification of hugism Tenay!

Tenay: Yes, yes he is Dusty, and it looks like his hugism is now coming to Nitro. He sure likes to make his presence known...

Big Show has left Edge laid out from that trip sending him face first on the concrete. Show turns to Goldberg now and delivers a Showstopper on the steel steps. Referee Nick Patrick waves for the bell and throws the match out. Edge gets to his feet and is in confusion as to what just went down. Big Show makes his way to the back and Nick Patrick signals Goldberg as the winner of the bout via disqualification. The Nitro announcers put over the fact Nick Patrick didn't see Big Show's trip on Edge and only his attack on Goldberg therefore he called the DQ on Edge. Edge pulls his hair at out in psychotic

Nitro looks like it's made a turnaround from it's run off below average shows, gaining it's highest rating since the brands first show. The Great American Bash PPV seems to be the spark behind the improvement with the roster really coming through on the big night. Goldberg and Edge have great chemistry which we changed the booking plans for now to prolong their feud to the Bash at the Beach PPV next month. Hogan came through in the main event also which was a bit of a risk considering his age and time spent out of the ring of late. His match at Wrestlemania 18 convinced me and many others he was ready to main event

again. It will be interesting to see how he handles the workload and more importantly the fact that the time will come sooner rather than later when we'll need him to drop that title.

The decision was made to send Mark Henry back to development, he's far from ready for TV and I don't know why he was called up in the first place. The big man took it well knowing he has alot to improve.

I'm a little nervous right now, Dad rang me earlier and asked I come to dinner with him, Triple H and Steph tonight. He said Hunter requested I come because he's got something very important to talk about that involves the two of us. I told Dad straight away HHH knows about "The Secret" but he still thinks Hunters is just bluffing or something else is up. I said I'd go and the limo will be here in 15 minutes to pick me up. I have that gut feeling that tonight is going to change alot of things..... my gut never lies.

Chapter 4

The jig is up

Saturday 26 May, 2002

I can't sleep, it's 4AM in the morning and I'm playing EWR. Dinner last night was all that I had feared. We met Hunter and Stephanie at a restaurant and Hunter was smug from the get go. He didn't beat around the bush and told

us and Steph at the same time he knows about Moolah, Vince and I. Following Vince's script we denied it all but Hunter produced a DNA test he had done which showed the match between Vince and I to be a 99.9% result. I asked him how he got my DNA for the test and when he explained alot of things started to become clear. A few trustworthy people warned me about Scott Hall, I thought over the past few months the two of us had developed a friendship. It seems however, he's a damn good actor who has an uncanny ability to swab ones mouth without detection. Stephanie told Vince she was disgusted in him and left, giving gave me a look that could shatter a glass on her way out.

The three of us left at the table Hunter revealed why he was doing all of this, making a point not to look at me and only address Vince. He wants the Head Booker job and wants me out saying I could play some character called Katie Vick in his next feud with Kane and see where the gimmick leads me. Vince told him to not to be a smart ass which confused me. Hunter laughed before snapping into a serious look and finally showing me some recognition "Either I become head booker or I go public about your little Moolalove child here". Dad stood up ordering me to do the same, he told Hunter he needs a few days to think it over and to keep his mouth shut.

The limo ride home was out of this World, Vince unleashed with a torrent of abuse as soon as we started to drive and looked like he was going to explode. I'm pretty sure at one point he was determined to put a hit on Hunter, luckily he called Mark Henry thinking he'd know a guy... he didn't. He dropped me off still enraged but I could see his mind working in overdrive already.

Whatever Vince decides I've had a good run, it could all end tomorrow and I'd be happy.... Who am I kidding what the hell am I going to do? I just started to get the hang of this things are going well. I should never have trusted Hall, the fact he has the local night club "Boom Boom Room" entry stamp tattooed on his forearm should have told me enough, Hunter probably paid him in Carona's and hookers with braces on their legs.

The next few days will be interesting.

If today tought me anything it's Vince McMahon is a man not to be reckoned with. His driver was at my doorstep at 5AM ready to start the day and it was straight into crisis mode. It's now 11PM and with Hunters ultimatum looming we're still in Vinces office going over ideas with Patterson and Brisco. Pat's a nice guy but if he bumps my foot one more time I swear I'm gonna knock this old man out. Being involved in these meetings is a good sign, it tells me demoting me isn't being considered as does the fact the meeting is top secret. RAW is less then 24 hours away and the best plan Vince thinks we have so far is calling Mark Henry again. Patterson just suggested we "Bret" him and the rooms gone silent... I better stop writing now Vince is looking at me and I think he's about to take my diary aw

Both men are given lengthy intros and the ring is still filled with smoke from Kane's fire explosions as Earl Hebner signals for the bell. The match starts with an exchange of punches which Kane gets the better of landing a stiff right. The bout slows down to a boring pace before Triple H makes a comeback, he lands a falling neckbreaker and follows with a flowing DDT. Hunter stalks Kane and waits for him to get to his feet, The Big Red Machine staggers up and HHH goes for a Pedigree... Kane counters it and sends Hunter crashing onto his back. Kane on the attack now climbs the top rope and launches at Triple H and nails him with a clothesline knocking over Earl Hebner in the process. Hunter stumbles to his feet and walks into a Chokeslam, Kane makes the cover but the ref is still down. Hebner wakes up suddenly though and rolls over, he makes the first count but doesn't quite touch the mat, he makes the second..... Hebner slams his hand on the canvas and calls "Three" loudly. Hunter kicks out and Kane rolls out of the ring with his music starting signifying his victory. Triple H takes the wise option and exits the ring from the opposite side of Lesnar as JR and King speculate on the events that just took place.

King: JR I don't think Hunter expected that at all, Vince just fired him from the WWF and made him look like a fool at the hands of Brock Lesnar.

JR: He sure did King I feel embarrassed for Triple H, I have a feeling that's the last time we'll ever see him in a WWF ring and it's not the exit I think he would've hoped for.

King: It is fitting though JR, Hunter was always a loser here in the WWF it's only right he leaves as he lived.

JR: Well that's disputable JR but one thing that is for sure is Triple H wanted no part in fighting Brock Lesnar.

Chapter 5

Bean Town Screwjob

Monday 28 May, 2002

Just when I think I know how crazy this business is something like tonight happens. I wouldn't have believed if I wasn't there, Vince really is a genius. Early this morning we were still in his office going through ideas on how to handle the Hunter situation. It was clear giving him the booking job was out of the question but I thought he was highly valued as a worker, seems he wasn't. Patterson and Brisco made a good point that we have more talent on the WWF roster at the moment than probably anytime in our history and WCW isn't around anymore to hurt us by signing a WWF name. With that advice Vince made his mind up to get rid off Triple H, it was just a case of how.

We arrived at the Conte Forum around lunchtime and Hunter was already in the buliding waiting for us. The three of us had a private meeting and Vince baited the hook. He told Hunter he thinks he'd make a great Head Booker but that I had to stay on the creative team. He let him know once the KOTR PPV is over he can take the top spot but on one condition, he hand over the original copy of the DNA test and never speak a word of what he knows. Hunter agreed but knowing Vince all too well I could see the suspicion in his eyes.

It was high tensions all day, only Pat, Gerald, Vince and I knew that tonight would be Hunters last but we still weren't sure how it was going down. Finally at around 5PM Vince called me into his office, Kane, Brock and Heyman were already there waiting with him. Dad explained to me that Lesnar is a former NCAA Wrestling Champion and he would be "helping" us send Triple H off tonight. Vince continued, revealing the plan to screw Triple H in his match tonight and have Brock come in to take him out if he gets any ideas. He let us all know then that Earl Hebner won't be told a thing until just before the

sound of the bell to ensure it stays strictly confidential. Kane looked slightly worried but Vince gave him a great pep talk and promised him a place for life in the WWF for his loyalty. He instructed Brock to do "Whatever's necessary" if Triple H tried to make a scene. Lesnar's a scary guy and when Dad told him he had free reign to go at Triple H it was the happiest I've ever seen the big freak.

The Kane vs Triple H main event started and I couldn't stop pacing backstage, surely Hunter would think I'm responsible when he realised he'd been screwed. I walked up to Vince just as he was calling to Earl on his wired mic to "Go home", everything from that point on felt like slow motion. Hebner played his role perfectly making the third count and rolling out of the ring before Hunter knew what had happened. Kane did a great job also, it's a big ask for a guy to screw another wrestler in a match but he did it like a pro. That's when things turned ugly, Hunter acted just as Bret did. Maybe it's the wrestler in them that tells them they're never going to be at that height again and to soak it up for every minute they can. He just went beserk, kicking the ropes and cursing out the cameras. He was screaming for a ringcrew guy to throw him a microphone at which point Vince walked out and cut a promo on him sending him packing. I think Hunter was suprised seeing Lesnar come at him, it was enough to get him out of the ring and calm him down. As soon as he got behind the curtain Vince had a bunch of security jump him and escort him out of the building.

The security guys roughed up Hunter a little big on the way out and literally threw him out the back entrance of the Conte Forum on his ass. Stephanie was going nuts by now shrieking at the top of her lungs at Vince to stop. She tried to leave the arena to join Hunter but Vince wouldn't let her go and had security restrain her. She made an interesting point I hadn't thought of while she was being taken to a back room to calm down.... her mother Linda and brother Shane get back from their holiday soon and they'll want to know what happened to Hunter... and who the hell I am!

With Guerrero finally clean the match gets underway with Eddie taking the early advantage catching Page off guard with a dropkick to the knee. Guerrero dictates the match until DDP makes a late comeback, he hits Eddie with few suplexes and sets up for a Diamond Cutter.... Guerrero reverses into a tornado DDT of his own and makes the cover but Page kicks out at a close 2. Eddie picks up Page by the hair and slowly pulls him up, DDP catches him by suprise and rolls him up making a flash pinfall with a quick cradle. Big Show & Hulk Hogan vs Booker T & The Undertaker

The Undertaker makes his entrance to Limp Bizkit's "Rollin" and drives down the ramp on a brand new custom bike. Booker T comes out next and he and Taker look uneasy with their teaming which the announcers note. One of Nitro's best main events to date little more was expected from these veterans, the whole match revolving around Hogan and Undertaker facing eachother one on one in the ring for the first time in over 8 years. Tenay, Taz and Dusty spend the early half of the match putting over the current mens feuds and hyping a Taker vs Hogan face off. Nash, Hall and X-Pac make their way to the ring late in the match as Taker is putting the finishing moves on Big Show setting him up for a Chokeslam. Taker sees them coming and lets go of his grib on Show facing the outside. Earl Hebner stand in front of The Undertaker and the ropes trying to keep him from heading out of the ring, Show smashes Taker from behind with a double axe handle and knocks out Hebner.

The nWo take advantage of the ref bump and swarm the ring from 3 different sides stalking Booker T who has joined a fallen Taker inside. Booker tries to clean house but the numbers overwhelm him and Hall catches him with a Razor's Edge. Big Show lands a Leg Drop on Taker and encourages Hogan to do the same. Hulk lands 3 Leg Drops in a row on Taker and Hebner is still out from the collision earlier. Booker staggers to his feet and Nash lines him up for a Jacknife Powerbomb... Edge is out and he's sprinting to the ring like a maniac! Edge goes straight for Big Show and Tenay reminds the viewers of Show costing Edge his second consecutive loss to Goldberg last week on Nitro. Edge sets up Show for an Edgecution... Goldber's music hits and Edge freezes turning his head slowly to look at his newfound enemy. Goldberg makes his way to the ring and Edge goes into a rage letting go of Big

Show and charging to the outside to meet Goldberg with a Spear on the entrance ramp.

Bischoff is out from the back now and has security with him, he orders them to restrain Goldberg and Edge. While the outside chaos continues the nWo resume their beatdown on Booker T and Taker back in the ring. Hebner begins to regain consciousness just as Nash lands a Jacknife Powerbomb on Booker. The nWo jump out of the ring and Show picks up Booker T finishing him with a Showstopper. Hebner makes the 3 count as Show stands with one foot on Booker's chest.

Another solid Nitro show tonight but that didn't distract from the elephant in the room. Vince showed up to the tapings and gave the whole roster a good talk explaining Triple H isn't a team player and never has been. He told a white lie and said Hunter didn't want to lose to Kane even in a set up match for an eventaul Triple H clean victory. The guys bought it, or at least they pretended they did to keep their jobs. We had a private meeting with Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac, Vince knows the guys are still tight with him and wouldn't be happy. Vince just took charge in the meeting though, accusing Hall of mutiny and scolding Nash for not shaving his sideburns yet. The tactic for now with the Kliq guys is to keep them around and on side for now while we can use them. I told Hall I'm never going drinking with him again and I want my new IPod gadget back, I have a feeling he's sold it.

Raven impressed alot of people backstage tonight, creative had written him a promo and he was to deliver it after his match with Rico. Before the tapings he asked to speak to Vince and I and cut the promo that made tonights show, we told him go for it and that crazy ass name he just made up for Vampiro sounds like it will be his debut name for his first Nitro. The more the guy sees the microphone the better.

The 2002 FIFA World Cup starts next week in Korea and Japan. I think WWF can benefit from some crossover particpation of some kind, I think we might schedule a RAW or Nitro for Tokyo and see what we can orgainse.

May 2002 Monthly Roundup

WWF

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/wwf-1.jpg

In one of the most controversial moments of the new decade Vince McMahon repeated his infamous screwjob, this time on Triple H. In a RAW that saw the longtime WWF superstar screwed and threatened with a shoot with Brock Lesnar if he didn't leave the ring. It's been reported Triple H had been unhappy for weeks about the new creative direction involving resurecting WCW as a brand. Sources are saying he made a play for power by somehow concocting a plan to blackmail Vince. As ludicrous as it sounds it's being confirmed that Triple H found a birth cirtificate in Vinces office at WWF HQ stating Genadi GooniGoohoo is Vince's love child to The Fabulous Moolah. The story gets stranger from here as it seems the birth cirtificate is a fake that McMahon had made up only weeks prior to Hunter stumbling upon it. Vince had the document made by the WWF prop team in plans for an upcoming storyline he's had in the works. It wouldn't be Vince's sickest idea that's for sure, speaking of which some crazy reports are coming out about where the Triple H vs Kane storyline was headed. Dave Meltzer is reporting he's spoken to Hunter personally and a necrophila angle was in the pipeworks although most reputable websites are making it clear that would be highly unlikely and Triple H is likely just trying to get back at McMahon by slandering him. More on this story is sure to be revealed over the coming weeks and probably months.

The #1 promotion in the World surged on with it's brand split with Nitro holding it's first ever PPV live in Charlotte. The debuting Goldberg was the star of the show destroying Edge in minutes to dominate in his first match with the promotion. In the main event of the show Hogan defeated Booker T for the WCW World Heavyweight Title in the Final of the tournament wearing his newly returned nWo colours. The Undertaker also beat Ric Flair to become the #1 Contender at the show which turned out to be such a succes it did a higher buyrate (456,000) then RAW's Backlash PPV (436,000) three weeks earlier.

The anual King of the Ring Tournament also kicked off with an impressive field this year. With the PPV only a week away the brackets are slimming.

North America

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/USA.pnghttp://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Canada.png

Jeff Jarrett's new upstart company TNA rose to Cult size within the first weeks of opening based soley of the hype it's generated from the internet it seems. Jarrett appointed Dutch Mantell as Head Booker but it's not a secret Jeff will hold the power. Other notable signings the promotion made were Harley Race, Ricky Steamboat and Nova.

TNA managed to only sign a handful of workers before rushing their first event but still managed to pull of a decent show. Tempest (Devon Storm) defeated Jarrett in the main event becoming the first NWA TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Trent Acid beating Shark Boy to win the TNA X Division Title was the other highlight of the show held at the Von Braun CenterHuntsville in Alabama.

The company has also managed to sign a PPV deal already with tiny US carrier Sky Angel broadcasting it's first event "Downawrd Spiral" but only receiving 1000 buys.

XPW's Veronica Caine posed nude for a popular men's magazine and watched as her popularity boomed from F- Worldwide to D- in the US & Canada and E- in the UK, Europe and Australia. The female valet who has starred in pornographic films for XPW owner Rob Black in the past also saw her sex appeal rating go from B to A in what could be a career maker for the 30 year old.

CZW's "Un F'n Believable" was a good showing for the company with Johnny Kahmere defeating Ruckus to retain the CZW Heavyweight Title in front of 2,000 fans at a sold out Ros Hill Gym in New York.

Scoot Andrews continued his reign as ECWA Heavyweight Champion defending the title on every show the promotion ran for the month. Scoot defeated Ace Darling, American Dragon, Christopher Daniels and Jose Maximo in consecutive weeks to cement his spot at the top. The S.A.T. tag team kept on it's winning ways throughout the month also, feuding with Reckless Youth and J.J. Johnston

In Jersey All Pro Wrestling news Trent Acid defended his JAPW Heavyweight Title against Insane Dragon, Slyk Wagner Brown, Monsta Mack and Homicide in consecutive weeks stretching his run with the title past a month now.

NWA:Wildside has stopped airing on Syndication due to lack of viewership.

WWF's development territory OVW continued to push The Prototype (John Cena) as an unstoppable face Heavyweight Champion, the month saw him enter a feud with Christopher Nowinski getting the better of him in the two encounters so far. The Lord of the Ring teag team consisting of Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway finally look to have ended their long running feud with Doug Basham and Damaja defeating the OVW Tag Team Champions in the last show of the month to claim the titles.

The Ring of Honour promotion held only one event this month, "ROH Wratchild" in front of 294 fans at the Murphy Recreational Center in Philadelphia. Super Dragon defeated Christopher Daniels to retain the ROH World Title in a **1/2 main event. Steve Corino was the other highlight of the show which left no one going home unhappy.

Japan

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/japan.png

Ex-WWF star Chyna (Joanie Laurer) can't stay out of the headlines for more then a month. The former 3 time WWF Intercontinental Champion is working for NJPW in Japan and was caught in possession of soft drugs. Considering Laurer is working in the country on her VISA she could find herself back in the US sooner then planned.

"Dr Death" Steve Williams claimed the AJPW Triple Crown Championship for the second time in his career over 7 years after his last reign. Williams defeated Keiji Mutoh in a sub par main event to win the vacant title left vacant by Toshiaki Kawada after he suffered a knee injury in March. The best bout of the night was Genichiro Tenryu defeating Taiyo Kea in an AJPW MOTY candidate. The PPV had a 30,000 buys but the main event left many baffled, many are still questioning the direction of the company as Motko Baba continues to push on with Mutoh taking the booking duties.

NJPW held it's "Donataku" PPV in front of a 10,000 sold out Nagoya Rainbow Hall. The show saw Shinya Hashimoto defeat Giant Singh to retian the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in a suprisingly good outing. Hiroyoshi Tenzan bested Hiroshi Tanahashi in another great match from the evening and Masahiro Chono over Katsuyori Shibata nearly stole the show. The PPV drew 42,500 buys and was a great success for the company.

Pro Wrestling NOAH's PPV "NOAH Supercard 7/12" has been hailed as one of the best shows of the year. The event was headlined by Jun Akiyama defeating Yoshinari Ogawa ti retain the GHC Heavyweight Title in a **** bout. The undercard saw Mitsuhara Misawa beat Takuma Sano and Akira Taue get the better of Kenta Kobashi in two fantastic matches.

Mexico

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/Mexico.png

Dos Caras Jr. announced his return to wrestling and a bidding war has ensued between AAA and CMLL over his services. The son of legendary Dos Caras and nephew of Mil Miscaras the second generation lucha libre star has a bright future.

AAA held "Más Allá De Creencia" in front of a 10,00 sold out Plaza De Toros Merida. The event was huge success, Latin Lover defeated Abismo Negro in a AAA classic confrontation and the main event saw Cibernetico retain the AAA Campeón de Campeones title over Hector Garza. Perro Aguayo continued his rise to fame in Mexico at the event, losing to Heavy Metal he was still heavily involved in the main event title storyline and pulled off one of the best matches of the night with his young opponent.

Never to be outdone by their rivals AAA, CMLL held it's own PPV the week after AAA's. CMLL's "Donde Las Águilas Se Atreven" proved CMLL still has the edge in the ongoing promotion war in Mexico managing to out sell AAA's show by 5,000 people. The event witnessed L.A. Park defeat Shocker to win the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Title in a ***1/2 match.

I told Hall I'm never going drinking with him again and I want my new IPod gadget back, I have a feeling he's sold it.

Haha, that sneaky drunk! :D

I really liked all of this stuff involving Triple H...it was interesting to see how it developed, and his departure ensures that your WWF is going to continue to look a lot different than the real one. I also thought it was funny that the reputable wrestling websites shot down H's necrophilia angle as something he was saying purely to try and make Vince look bad. If only that had really been the case

Also, I REALLY liked the way you handled your round-up of the other promotions. I may take heavy inspiration from that for my own diary, if you don't object.

ROH only drew 294 fans in the Tri-State? That's interesting; I seem to think I've always been able to hit 1,000 there, provided I run the show towards the beginning of the month. And I don't remember editing my prestige or popularity levels at all.

I find it interesting how differently your TNA is developing in comparison to mine. Of all the guys you mentioned in your report, the only one even on their roster in my game is Nova. Of course, my AI-controlled WWF didn't sign up the likes of Mysterio, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and the Second City Saints, so TNA had more of a selection to choose from. Though they haven't made any attempt to sign AJ, for some strange reason.
