Chapter 1

Lies, damned lies, and Kayfabe

March 28, 2002

It felt just like any other day as I strolled home from College, the same path I've taken everyday for the last 3 years. Brisbane City doesn't change much now that I think about it. Reminds me of Gotham City, only a little older looking. I wondered as I walked if my "Business & Marketing" degree I've been grinding away to receive is still going to be worth the paper it's printed on. Considering my severe lack of any interest in the subject I think I'm lucky to get this far.

I couldn't stop daytripping. For the first time in a while I felt like I was at a crossroads, something had to change. I was snapped out of my daydreaming by the sounds of a young kid screaming at his Dad to throw him the ball back "faster next time round". I always feel strange seeing a father and son interact, having never known my father or mother I just can't understand that bond. I found myself staring with a wierd look on my face at the pair, before I realised they were returning their own confronting gaze. I gave a sheepish peek back and kept on, my head couldn't hold onto a thought. Everything felt a little odd, my intuition should've told me something wasn't right. Little did I know, the change I knew had to be made only moments ago was about to be made for me.

I raced up the front stairs, I knew I didn't want to see what I was running so fast to investigate but my legs carried me so quickly I barely kept up. "Aunt Goonigoohoo where are you?" I screamed, I don't know why I screamed, I knew that she's been bed stricken for the past 4 months and hasn't left her room. I suppose it's because deep down I knew it's the last chance I had to say that.

The nurses left us alone after Aunt Gooni had her favourite serving of fish heads for dinner. I put on a Rick James album I know she loves and sat by her side. "G..Ge..Gen..", the sounds of "Superfreak" were drowning out her poor 500 pound wiltering voice. I turned the stereo down and leant in closely, "Genadi, you're a good boy. You've always been a good honest boy." I had to urge her on, she had a look I'd never seen on Aunt Gooni's face before. "That's why it pains me to tell you this Genadi, your mother... you're mother and father... you see". I knew it! I always knew therewas something about my parents Aunt Goonigoohoo hid from me. What she said next blew me off my feet, this could change everything!

"Gen, honey you were a special child but when you were born but your parents couldn't look after you." For some reason I was disappointed, so they are slack parents? I was deep down hoping they were CIA agents or something at least semi-cool. I should have waited before jumping to assumptions though. "In fact..." Aunt Gooni delved further... " they couldn't even acknowledge you publically." I was now intrigued, "You see Genadi both of your folks were and still are married but not to eachother. If your existence..Hell, even conception was made public it would destroy alot of people". She started to fade, her eyes blinking slower and slower. "Aunt Goonigoohoo!", I shouted for her to tell me who they were.

I've seen enough movies to know you need to get the deathbed confession. "G..Ge...Genadi, your parents are V.Vi...Vince McMahon...", I was shocked "...and The Fabulous Moolah" then disgusted. Before I had the chance to confirm the insane revelation Aunt Goonigoohoo was asleep. The nurses say she went peacefully. She lived a great long life, born in 1921, played in the International Rollerspeedway for 14 years and set the U.S record in '54 for clean and jerk. R.I.P Aunt Gooni

I can't sleep tonight, this is too much. I've done some research and it seems The Fabulous Moolah was born in 1923. That would have made her 62 when/if she had me, I've heard of that stuff happening in Africa sometimes but it's a bit far fetched I think. On top of that, Vince McMahon? He was her boss then, in fact she only just before my birth acted as Vince's patsy in screwing Wendy Ritcher out of the WWF Women's Title. She then went on to reign for two years, she was definitely his favourite. Agghhhhh this is just too much for one night, Aunt Gooni's lawyer has already visited and given me a package from her will. It has $10,000 U.S cash and two letters, one adressed to me and one to "Vince McMahon from GOONIGOO YOU KNOW WHO". The letter she sent me only says to find Vince and give him his letter in person. I am sick of school, this could be interesting... the change I'm looking for?

Well I'm on the plane, I still can't comprehend this all but Aunt Gooni never lied to me about anything. I hope she hasn't started now, I don't really feel like going to Stamford, Connecticut for a holiday. I'm clutching onto this letter to Vince McMahon, this time I'll follow my intuition. I can tell there's something very important in this letter.

Sleep now.

Chapter 2

How quickly they rise

March 30, 2002

Well it was quite the day! Found the WWF headquaters easily enough, the place is huge. I walked into the foyer and asked the receptionist if there was anyway she could contact Vince McMahon. I knew she would think I was some crazy fan (which I half am) so I let her know it was there strictly on business only regarding his family and would only take two minutes of his time. She rolled her eyes and picked up her desk phone, "Oh, tell him it's from Goonigoo you know who" I added. She looked at me with a look confirming her suspicions of my craziness. She waited a few seconds then queried if Vince was available.

Hanging up the phone the receptionist shot me another look much happier now, "Sorry Sir, Mr McMahon is unavailbale. If you're interested in any business meeting I suggest you phone ahead and arrange something that

suits his schedule". I was already walking out of the giant sliding glass doors as she was gloating at my rejection. She had to have one more shot at me though, "Oh and send please send appologies to..."She begun laughing and at the top of her voice as to embarass me "Goonigoo you know who!".

The voice was instantly recognisable "What the HELL did you just say?". It was the same voice that had I'd been listening to since I was a child. It was Vince McMahon. The receptionist looked like a deer in headlights. "I said GooniGoo..." she repeated. Vince interupted her quickly "Ok, ok! I got it!". He looked liked he'd seen a ghost. Something drew me back inside I knew I couldn't leave now.

Vince continued his interrogation "Where did you hear that Sandy?", "She heard it from me" I can't believe I spoke, McMahon shifted his gaze to me. Thankfully his tone was alot softer with me, "I think you need to come with me, we should have a chat".

I was in awe of Vince's office, a signed lifesized photo of Andre The Giant serves as a backdrop for his desk, Stone Cold's first empty beer can is perched up on a window overlooking the city. All that wrestling history in one

man's office, the man who is responsible for it all! I gave him the letter and sat quietly searching around for more memorabila to drool over. I didn't think to watch his reaction as he read the message written from my late Aunt. Vince doesn't beat around the bush "What do you want?" he asked me in the most assertive voice I'd heard yet. "I don't want anything" I replied, almost posing it as a question of it's own. "So you flew half way round the World, brought this letter to me and you don't want anything". "I don't know what the that letter says but I didn't come here for anything" I was getting more angry now. Did he think I came to take his money? Vince again got softer, like he was putting his guard down for me "It says I've been denying this for too long and I need to deal with it". I was starting to think this guy could really be my Dad! "I tell you what boy, you name anything you want in the World and it's done". My mind raced, private jet? maserati? I have no idea why I said this, as much as I love wrestling it sounded so dumb "I'd just like to be involved with the WWF" I uttered.

Vince looked at me intensely, "Are you serious, you're a wrestling fan?". I went into a diatribe praising my first and favourite WWF matches and wrestlers I'd grown up with. I could see the more I went on the more he was impressed with my knowledge and passion. "I tell, you what" he said interupting my markfest, "Stephanie really has her hands full now with her two little ones and Shane has always prefered to pursure his other ventures". He looked sour when he mentioned Shane, "How bout we get you really involved? How about we make you new Head Booker of WWF!" I couldn't contain my smile and it seemed contagious as for the first time I saw Vince relaxed and smiling.

"I need a McMahon at the helm!" he proclaimed. With that announcement I finally realised I was a McMahon. The shared moment of excitement was short lived as Vince assumed his serious face again, "Genadi, this is very important though. You have to keep our little secret exactly that... our little secret". I never had a father or mother so it's not going to be hard to pretend I don't. Besides I'm not sure confessing to the World The Fabulous Moolah and Vince McMahon are my love-parents is the best way to get noticed.

I did query Vince about keeping this hidden from everyone. He assured me the only living people who knew were the two of us. I queried further still "But Vince, won't people start to ask questions when you give a slacker

like me with no experience in the business creative booking power". He replied with a smirk "They didn't last ti... I mean they won't"... he coughed and quickly changed the subject. "Don't worry son, wrestling

fans will believe anything!"

I wouldn't usually comment so early into a diary, but I am seriously hooked by the way this has started. I don't know what direction you're going to go in, but personally I hope it isn't the direction of writing shows but continuing to post a story like you have started to, as it has really drawn me in.

The only thing wrong with it is the image it's given me of Vince and Moolah getting down and dirty, an image I never thought I would entertain. :(

Why would they film the British version of the Office in the US?

And Stamford on top of that. I didn't realise that either :D When I saw I was flying to Stamford I had to make a reference to The Office.

I don't know what direction you're going to go in, but personally I hope it isn't the direction of writing shows but continuing to post a story like you have started to, as it has really drawn me in.

Hopefully I can do both. I'm going to try.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I got a little carried away with the backstory and just ran with it. :o

HHH's music blares and the WWF World Heavyweight Champion makes his way into the ring, mic in hand.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/TripleH-1.jpg

HHH: Last night at Wrestlemania18 I proved again that I am the best this business has to offer. I became the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the World in only my third match back from

a career ending injury. I left no doubt in anyone's mind that this belt belongs to me.....

*Jericho's music hits* Y2J enters the ring with a familiar smirk on his face.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/ChrisJericho-1.jpg

Jericho: Hunter, Hunter, Hunter. You almost sound like you're believing that crap spewing out of your mouth. You think you proved something at Wrestlemania? Other then the fact your those

big shiny belts still don't distract the camera from that giant shmoz you call a nose. Well you didn't! No one's impressed with your little sympathy story. I'm owed a title shot and I want it goddamit!

*Kurt Angle's music hits* Kurt joins Jericho and HHH in the ring.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/KurtAngle-1.jpg

Angle: You know I was warming up backstage and all I could hear was you two doin alot of talkin. Jericho, you had your shot and you blew it. If anyone in the WWF deserves a title shot it's Kurt...

freakin'.....

*The Rock's music hits* He evens out the group in the ring and catches a mic thrown to him.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/TheRock-1.jpg

The Rock: Finally...The Rock...has come back..... to Evanston! And what do we have here? A discussion on who deserves a World title shot. You know Kurt, Jericho has a point. He was the World Champion and he hasn't had his rematch yet, don't you

think he deserves another shot?

Angle: Well Rock I...

The Rock: It doesn't matter what you think! The Rock says know your role jabroni and don't demand anything in The Rock's presence.

Angle starts to get riled up as Jericho laughs at him.

The Rock: What are you laughing at beardy Goldilocks? You think I was serious that you deserve another shot? I can still hardly remember your name don't even look at The Rock.

Rock turns his attention to HHH as the pitch in the crowd rises a few levels as the People's eyebrow gets higher.

The Rock: And my good old friend, HHH. Man, you get bit by a bee or something you look all puffed up. Maybe you just need to get laid, you know what The Rock means. The Rock knows a place for guys

like you Hunter, I'll get Coach to show you where it is he told The Great One all about it.

Vince: Well it's good to see you started without me. Hunter what makes you think you can pick your next challenger? Jericho you lost last night but you still have a rematch clause. You seem to want it

so bad I took it upon myself to sanction it for tonight... here live in Evanston, Illinois! Kurt, Rock you guys both think you deserve a shot so much? This week on Smackdown you'll go one on one in a #1 Contenders

match. The winner will face the winner of tonight for the Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash in 3 weeks! Now onto more pressing issues, we advertised a first ever draft on tonights show.

Unfortunately our board of directors here at WWF seem to be stuck on some paperwork regarding Ric Flair's loss last night. Fear not WWF fans Flair has lost all of his power, this is merely a hickup in the

process of restoring full power to myself. I've been assured this will al be cleared up by next week, so it will be this coming Monday night's RAW. The first ever WWF Draft will take place along with a

brand split. I can assure you though that it will not be Ric Flair running either half!

In RVD's first WWF IC defense he unloads with his full arsenal. Test goes for a Big Boot but RVD rolls under it then bounces off the ropes and lands a heelkick. Van Dam takes the oppurtunity

and hits a Five Star Frog Splash for the win. These two have suprisingly pretty good chemistry, must be the stiff timing.

WWF Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship

Chris Jericho vs Triple H ©

The two start slowly, showing their signs of wear and tear from the previous night. The match slowly builds until signature moves begin to be traded. Jericho hits the Lionsault first but HHH kicks out.

Jericho goes for a top rope moonsault but HHH rolls out of the way. He picks Jericho up and goes for a Pedigree but it's countered. Both men are now exhausted and struggle back to their feet, Jericho is the first

one up. As he makes his way over to HHH he's attacked from behind... It's The Rock! The referee Earl Hebner throws the match out it's obvious he's lost control. The Rock turns Jericho around and lands The Rock Bottom. He then delivers another to HHH just as Hunter gets to his feet. Both competitors are laid out in the ring as The Rock throws his elbow pad into the crowd and signals for the move we all know and love. Before he can bounce of a rope he's met with a sneak attack of his own though.... It's Kurt Angle! He obvisouly wants to soften up The Rock for their upcoming match and drils him with an Angle Slam. Angle, the only man left standing now hovers over the unconscious bodies in the ring with a look of accomplishment.

Eddie Guerrero vs Edge

These two know how to get a crowd going and they do just that. The announcing quality isn't up to the match standard which hurt the rating. Half the moves Eddie hits Cole has no idea what to call and Taz keeps covering

for him by saying "That was just awesome Cole". The match is very open with both getting a chance to display some flashy moves. Eddie goes for a Frog Splash but is caught on the top rope. Edge delievers a superplex and makes the cover, 1,2.... Edge slips off at 2.... Chavo Gerrero is on the outside and has pulled him off Eddie. Edge is furious and berates referee Nick Patrick to eject the younger Guerrero. As he argues Eddie recovers and hits Edge with a low blow. Eddie climbs the ropes and delivers a Frog Splash. 1,2,3! But there's no referee, Patrick is on the apron trying to eject Chavo. Eddie breaks the cover to alert the referee. He orders Chavo to the back so Patrick can make the 3 count. Chavo complies but Edge is back up, Eddie turns around and is nailed with The Edgecator. Chavo is halfway back up the ramp before

realsing Eddie is down for the three count. Eddie does not look happy with Chavo.

Maybe opening was too much pressure for one of them, or the Chavo run in may have hurt the rating. I expected more from these two, both are pushing

for a main event spot and are looking to prove themselves as consistent peformers.

A good brawling stiff match, Farooq and Bradshaw dominate but Billy rolls up Bradshaw and uses the ropes as leverage for a tainted pin. Rico had Farooq distracted on the outside by parading around the big man and taunting him. Farooq storms the ring on the end bell but Billy & Chuck retreat up the ramp

Christian is backstage in a hallway looking at his watch and waiting. He's standing outside a room labeled "Vince McMahon's Office". After a good while DDP finaly exits the the room, a smile appears on his face as he's confronted with his old foe. The two don't speak as DDP walks past Christian closing the door. Christian tries to enter but the door is locked. "Gimme a second", a growling voice is heard to say from inside. "Okay enter", the same voice barks. Christian slowly opens the now unlocked door and enters the room with an odd look on his face. As he closes the door the sign reading "Office of Vince McMahon" drops off to the floor... it reveals another sign reading "Boiler Room"..... as we go to break.

Returning from commercial Christian is seen in the arena's dark and dingy boiler room. He's visibly shaken as he calls out...

Christian: Mr McMahon? Mr McMahon are you in here? Mr McMahon Sir I don't know why you've set up your office down here but I'm sure it's for a great reason. The thing is Sir I don't really handle confined

places like this all too well. I'm from Canada Sir lots of open space you know...

Christian lets out a whimperish laugh at his own lame joke when he walks into a spider web

Christian: AGGGGGHHHHHHHHH! What the hell? Oh my God, Mr McMahon Sir I think I'll try you at another time.

Christian picks off the spider webs stuck to his face as he makes his way for the stairs. He mumbles about the state of Vince's office and queries if times are getting tough at WWF. Just as Christian seems

to have relaxed himself again... he turns around to be face to face with Goldust, in full wig and kit.

Christian: Oh my *WWF BLEEP* God! What the hell? You again? Are you serious freak?

Christian leaves the room as Goldust begs him to stay. Christian slams the door on him and walks to the exit of the building. He jumps in an awaiting taxi...

Big Show as usual takes control of the match out of the gate. What looks to be a predictable victory for the big man takes a strange turn when Christian hits the ring after a ref bump at 8:00. While Big Show is busy waking the referee he accidently knocked out Chrisitan waits for Goldust to get to his feet. When he does he's met with an Unprettier, but he reverses it! Christian and Goldust are going at it now and the brawl spills over to the outside, up the ramp and backstage. Referee Charles Robinson regains consciousness and makes the 10 count out on Goldust while he still brawls with Christian. WWF Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship

Kurt Angle vs The Rock

Angle has the advantage early but clearly not the fans support. The Rock makes a mini comeback around 9:00 but Angle takes him back to the mat and closes him down. At 16:00 the match picks up pace when The Rock hits a Rock Bottom. He makes the slow cover but it's only good for a 2 count. He lines up another but Angle reverses into an Angle Slam, he tries to applies the Anke Lock and things don't look good for The Rock who's placed in the middle of the ring. Jericho comes running down the ramp and jumps up the apron staying on the outside. Referee Charles Robinson has his back turned to Jericho and is still asking Rock for a tap. Jericho is taunting Angle though and The Olympic Gold medalist lets his ego get the best of him. He releases the Ankle Lock from The Rock and nails Jericho with a forearm sending him off the apron crashing to the outside. Angle leans over the rope and screams some trash talk at Jericho, it's the only window of oppurtunity The Rock needs..... Angle turns around into a Rock Bottom. This time it's enough. Cole and Taz weren't up to match standard again, this needs to be adressed and fast.

Thursday Week 1, April 2002

Well what a week so far! I've gotten to know most of the roster already they all seem like nice people. HHH seems to be developing a burning curiousity about me though, he keeps asking me questions about myself. I keep telling him the story Vince gave me. Just today he asked me again about my credentials. "I've been brought in to give a young persons perspective" I told him. I know he doesn't buy it though. I mentioned to him how Vince Russo was brought in all those years back for the same reason. He looked at me and rolled his eyes like I had no clue what I was talking about before storming off. It was an odd exchange I have a feeling was the first of many.

Vince called me into his office this afternoon and had seemed happy with how things were going. He did get down to business though. He explained to me some important goals he considered vital for creative to reach. I wrote them down so I wouldn't forget.... In rank of importance

Critical: We must have as much popularity in America in 2 years as we do now

High: Kane must have reached at least B grade momentum in 31 months time. (I've got a risque storyline concocted for him but I have a feeling it will be a little too low brow even for Vince)

High: Farooq must have reached at least B overall popularity in America in 22 months. DAMN!

High: The Undertaker must be kept abover B overall popularity in America.

Average: I can't hire any wrestler classed as a Psychopath

Average: I can't hire or extend the contract of any wrestler who has less than a B- in Basics

I've been busy on all fronts my first few days, Vince has given me full control so I'm going to use it.

I made some tough decisions and terminated some contracts. I decided Bruce Pritchard, Johnny Ace, Lillian, Coach, Kevin Kelly, Teddy Long, Dawn Marie, Ivory, Jazz and Jacqueline wouldn't be needed going forward and all were wished well in their future endeavors by the WWF.

I sent Dean Malenko and Finlay to Ohio Valley Wrestling to train people and Batista and Shawn Stasiak to Ohio Valley Wrestling to develop their skills further. I also called up Chris Kanyon and Jamie Noble. Both of these guys are good enough to go on the main roster.

I plan on making some big signings over the next few days, Dad (still sounds strange saying that) better have his wallet ready. By the look of this XFL thing he has more then enough.

Oh my God I just realised! I'm late for my meeting with Brian Fritz! He's the agent for most of the lowercard/indy talent in the U.S. I'm in talks with him to sign a bunch of guys and I was supposed to be there 10 minutes ago!

Saturday Week 1, April 2002

It's 4PM in the afternoon right now, I just woke up. Wow, wrestlers really know how to party. The last thing I remember Hall was hotwiring a policecar so we could get Hennig to an emergency room. My head hurts so bad! It's lucky my fax machine went off or I would still be snoring. It was Dad sending me some great news! The ratings are in and we did well my first few shows....

RAW on Spike 4.95

RAW on TSN 1.93

RAW on Sky Sports 1.56

SD on UPN 3.35

SD on Sky Sports 1.11

SD on The Score 1.07

In other good news my metting with Fritz went well yesterday. WWF have signed to written contract's; Mike Tenay, Buff Bagwell, Rey Mysterio, Dusty Rhodes, Sabu, Ron Killings, Chris Candido, Psicosis, AJ Styles, Sylvester Terkay, Bob Sapp, Rick Steiner, Elix Skipper, Juventud Guerrera, Ultimo Dragon, Low Ki, Alex Wright, Colt Cabana, Samoa Joe, Ted DiBiase, Vampiro, Tedd Hart and Joey Styles.

Now back to bed hopefully I'll be able to feel the tips of my fingers by tomorrow. More contracts to pursue! The bigger the name the longer it's taking, if I can pull of some of these negotiations though it will be well worth it. I just hope it doesn't become to obvious I'm abusing my power to bring out all the mark in me. We'll see how the roster reacts in coming days.

Oh and I've decided on the card for this Monday night's RAW....

Chris Candido vs Val Venis

Genadi, were you wanting people to submit predictions for the announced matches? Or would you rather not open your shows up for predictions? Figured I'd ask.

The image of Vince and Moolah is...ugh.:( But one thing's for sure: it's CERTAINLY original! You're off to a good start, I think. I'll be checking this out.

Thanks Final, yeah predictions are welcomed. Instead of making a Preview thread I'll just list the matches into my Diary entries incorporating them into the journal.

I went to the doctors today, Dad organised the best in town. The Doc was great but he kept asking me if I wanted to put on some muscle, I assured him I'm not planning on stepping in the ring anytime soon. He gave me some medication and told me not to drink any alchohol for a while. I was hoping Dad wouldn't find out why I was sick but it seems Hall and Hennig took some happy snaps I don' even remember. Dad warned me about them and he didn't seem pleased I'm forming a bond with those two. RAW tomorrow night I'm going to need my rest, I made a huge signing this morning and they're set to appear on the show. Dad told me alot of guys in the lockeroom won't be happy with the direction I'm taking the company but it doesn't phase me. I'm going to have fun here while it lasts!

JR: Welcome to another explosive Monday night of WWF RAW!

Lawler: Oh my gosh JR I'm so excited tonight is gonna go down in history as a turning point in the WWF! I can't wait to see what happens, we still don't even know who this "secret buyer" is?

JR: Well that's right King, we do know that someone has purchased the shares that have been the subject of so much speculation. The shares which equal to 50% of the WWF! This story goes back to Survivor

Series last year folks. It was then that Ric Flair announced to a surprised Vince McMahon that when Shane and Stephanie sold their shares in the WWF to purchase WCW and ECW, he was the man who was the buyer

and that, as such, he was co-owner of the WWF and he and McMahon were now partners.

Lawler: Who can forget that moment JR?

JR: Well King some people may have just joined us. Well folks if you weren't watching. After entering into a bloody personal feud with The Undertaker Flair sought a match with him at WrestleMania X8.

However, the WWF Board of Directors would only allow the match if Flair were to return one hundred percent control to McMahon. The Nature Boy agreed, however, the Board also reserved the right to review

the ownership status of the WWF following WrestleMania. Their decision is due to be announced tonight here on Monday night RAW! Ladies and gentlemen the decision the WWF Board of Directors makes tonight

could change the wrestling World as we know it forever!

Vinces music hits and he makes his way to the ring with a somber look on his face. He talks about what it took to build the WWF into the billion dollar Global company it is today. He mentions his father

and the vision they shared. His dry mood then turns of one of anger as he describes the Monday Night Wars and the toll it took on him. He goes into detail of the twists and turns, going further into

detail about the dark times of the promotional battle. Vince puffs his chest up and with his trademark booming voice reminds the crowd of who was left standing after the dust settled. He begins to berate

the WWF Board of Directors questioning their authority to take away the dream he built.

dropping to the mat and clutching the rops anytime Shamrock goes for a hold. Shamrock has the Ankle Lock applied but Regal has the ropes yet again. This time though Shamrock aggros up and yanks him

Austin and Jericho start the match for their teams with Stone Cold getting the early advantage. Nash and Hall menace Austin from the apron though and manage to distract him long enough for Jericho to

deliver a running bulldog. Jericho tags out to Nash who goes to work, he dominates for a few minutes before making a clever tag to Hall. Hall takes over the dismantling of Austin with a few crisp fade

away slams, he only spends a few minutes in the ring before tagging back to Nash. JR points out Nash and Hall's accomplishments as a tag team as they take short shifts in their beatdown. Finally Austin

makes a comeback and makes the hot tag to HHH. Hunter jumps in the ring but hesitates, he's face to face with Nash! Thw two heavyweights look to be sizing eachother up, Nash gives HHH a smirk and makes

a blind tag to Jericho. Nash steps out of the ring while saying something to Hunter. Jericho now locks up with HHH, the two go at it relighting their previous hatred for eachother. Both bounce off the ropes

and launch an attack at eachother. HHH connects with his knee and Jericho with his forearm as both are sent crashing to the canvas. They crawl to their respective corners. They both tag out at the same time,

Jericho to Hall and HHH The Rock. Rocky gets the better of a frantic trade of punches with Scott Hall. He wastes no time and lands a Rock Bottom! Nash enters to make the save and breaks up

the pin. Austin joins the action and clotheslines Nash out of the ring, tumbling to the outside with him. As Earl Hebner tries to extinguish the chaos outside of the ring, Hall gets back to his feet.

Rock goes to deliver another Rock Bottom but he's interupted by Jericho. Hebner still has his back turned as Hall and Jericho double team The Rock.... HHH is just standing there on the apron! Rock breaks

free of the double team and staggers to his corner. He looks to tag in HHH, he goes to give the tag but HHH jumps off the apron. Rock screams at HHH to get his ass in the ring as Jericho and Hall resume

hit a Lionsault on The Rock using the ring bell for extra effect. Hall picks up The Great One and delivers another Razor's Edge to a chorus of boos. Rock is bleeding from the mouth and unconscious as Hall

makes the ****y cover for the win. Austin and Rock are laid out and Nash and Hall stand in the ring raising their "nWo" hands as we cut to break.

Hogan: You know I came back to the WWF because I was asked to. I was asked to return by none other than Vince McMahon. The man who seems to think he's responsible for all of you fans here tonight in the

building and the millions of Hulkamaniacs watching at home! Well McMahon I'm here to remind you, you had some help along the way. These people didn't come here tonight to see you Vince, they came because

they're loyal Hulkamaniacs brother! They've followed me wherever I've gone and it's these Hulkamaniacs who've built this company into what it is today, not you! The last time I was here you let those

Hulkamaniacs down McMahon, you let the Hulkster walk away from the WWF and you paid the price. Well brother I'm not going to let you do that again, The Hulkamaniacs won't let it happen again! You see

brother I made sure the new co-owner would be a boss I can work with, a boss I respect. I may not like him brother but he knows how to get things done, he's the mystery man the Board of Directors have been

keeping secret from you all week. You're about to see why brother.... I introduce to you the new co-owner of the WWF......

Eric Bischoff!!!

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/EricBischoff-3.jpg

Bischoff: Thank you Hollywood for the kind introduction. Ladies and Gentlemen may I welcome you to "The Bischoff Era"

Vinces Music Hits and he appears atop of the entrance ramp

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/VinceMcMahon-1.jpg

Vince: I had a feeling I'd see you again Eric, you know what they say.... You can't keep a rancid dog down. What happened the used carsalesmen job didn't work out? Uncle Teddy didn't send the cheque this

month? If you think you can come here and take over anything you're out of your God damn mind Eric!

Bischoff: Well I must be out of my mind Vince because I've already taken over something... half of this rotting company that's what! After Flair lost his Wrestlemania match to The Undertaker I was waiting for

him in his limo. We may have a rocky past The Nature Boy and I but we do share one very common passion.... our hatred for you Vince! He was more than happy to sign over his stakes in the WWF to me. How does

it feel to have the company you put your blood, sweat and tears into stolen from right underneath you Vince? Actually, don't answer that because I know the feeling! It's exactly the same feeling I had when

you stole from me my lifes work.... WCW!

Vince: WCW is where it belongs Eric, dead and buried! Along with you if you don't get out of my ring right now goddamit!

Eric flashes his trademark smirk

Bischoff: Our ring Vince, Our ring! I own half of these ropes, half of this canvas. Hell, as long as your a WWE employee I'm pretty sure I own half of you to!

Linda appears on the Titantron, she's standing out the front of WWF HQ in Stamford.

Linda: If I can interupt the bickering for a moment I think you will both be interested in the WWF Board of Directors official decision regarding this ownership debacle.

Both Authority figures fix their attention to the big screen awaiting the announcement.

Linda: At 8:30 PM this evening the WWF Board of Directors has come to an official decision. The WWF Board has decided to split the entire WWF roster into two separate entities, with Vince McMahon in control

of the RAW brand and Eric Bischoff in control of the

SmackDown! brand. The draft will go on tonight as planned. Each owner will take turns in a draft pick, the first pick will be determined by a coin flip. One stipulation is that the WWF Undisputed World

Heavyweight Champion will not be eligible for selection in the draft. This title remains property of the WWF and will be defended on both shows. All other Title holders are eligible for draft, their selection

will earn that show the rights to said Title. Vince.... Eric......Ladies and Gentlemen.... The brand extension officially begins.... now!

Sgt. Slaughter makes his way to the ring with Gerald Briscoe and Pat Patterson in toe. He's shortly after followed by Nick Patrick, Dusty Rhodes and Dean Malenko. All men are in suits and act as officials

for the official coin toss. Slaughter asks Eric to call it in the air as he flips, Bischoff calls Heads. It's Tails and McMahon and RAW will get the first pick in 2002 WWF Draft as we go to commercial.

Both Vince and Eric take their places behind podiums on the stage, the Titantron shows the vacant rosters for each RAW and Smackdown!. Everything from the podiums to the lights are been branded heavily with

either RAW or Smackdown! splitting the stage into blue and red. Vince's pick first and he chooses The Rock as the #1 pick for RAW. Bischoff is up, he selects Hollywood Hulk Hogan as SD's #1 pick.

Vince names Stone Cold Steve Austin as RAW's #2 draftpick. Eric shocks the hell out everyone most visibly Vince by naming The Undertaker as his #2 pick! Taker is shown backstage watching on a tv with the

rest of the roster and becomes livid, he hurls some chairs out of the way and storms out of the room. Vince chooses Kurt Angle as his #3 pick. Bischoff goes on to announce he has talked to a certain retired

Superstar about making a full time comeback. The Superstar had one stipulation about signing though, they wanted the Brand Smackdown's name changed. Bischoff sarcastically says it was a hard choice seeing

as the Smackdown! name was given by Vince McMahon. Eric then rips of the sign on his podium reading "Smackdown!" to reveal a slick new sign reading "Nitro"! He announces his #3 selection in the 2002 WWF

draft is.... The Nature Boy Ric Flair! Vince and Eric go back and forth for another ten minutes before a loud siren sounds ending the Draft's First Round. The audience is encouraged to check out WWF.com to

see the complete draft....

Chapter 3

Learning the ropes and rustling feathers

April 8, 2002

Well here I am in Dallas Texas, this place reminds me alot of home with the weather and all. I had a chance to grab a nice steak, the WWF catering food has been turning me blue.... I have a feeling Hennig is putting something in it as one of his "funny" pranks. Some of these guys are just crazy, they call it "ribbing". I'm not sure if that's an American or wrestling term? They seem to be "ribbing" on me an awful lot lately I know that much. My second RAW didn't go anywhere near as smoothly as my last. I think the guys are taking my nice guy persona as a sign of weakness and slacking off. A Drug Policy

may be in order to show them know I'm to be respected.

Today before RAW I had a meeting with the newly signed Alex Wright and Bob Sapp. I explained to them both they could both be very useful in the WWF but I think they needed to spend some time in OVW. They both took it well and leave later this week.

I signed Teddy Hart last week against alot of peoples advice and wanted to get him in the ring as soon as possible. It's well known in the industry that he has loads of talent but one of the worst attitudes. I definitely don't need anymore bad influences in that lockeroom. When I asked Teddy to put Billy Kidman over today though he obliged alot easier than I expected. He even sold the Moonsault for Kidman's win really well. I think everyone could be wrong about Teddy Hart.

Chris Candido has always been a fave of mine and I was very happy to see him in a WWF ring again. The match was nothing special but it I didn't give he and Val Venis much time. I'm thinking of giving Candido a new gimmick before debuting him on RAW. I'll have to ask Vince and creative for some ideas.

I think Ken Shamrock's debut went well, considering his MMA Crossover style doesn't really fit into our product at the moment. Regal as always does a great job of putting his opponent over but the lack of selling did hurt the match a little. Pat Patterson has been great as a road agent, his observations like the one just given are helping me become a better booker already. He's always offering to help with anything backstage to, just tonight he offered to take The Rock's stinky gym bag to his limo for him. He ended up losing the bag but it's the thought that counts, besides it was mostly worn underwear Rock was saying anyways so no big loss.

Raven was off his game in his match with Perry Saturn, I want to push Raven so I hope he doesn't become too inconsistent. The two have great chemistry together, it makes me tempted to rekindle their feud from last year. I think I'll base it around something other then a cleaning tool if I do this time round although Raven did tell me Perry still has the woodchips... surely that's just a rib though. Saturn looks like a strange dude but he can't be that crazy.

The DDP vs Rikishi match was a borderline disaster! It was obvious the two didn't click straight away as they botched spot after spot. I was watching backstage with Pat and Briscoe when Pat suggested to "Go Home", that's wrestling talk for finish the match. When we called it through to the ref DDP and Rikishi were brawling in the crowd already though so they couldn't hear the Chioda calling. To make matters even worse Rikishi fell into this little boy who was eating his icecream. The kid dropped his icecream but in shock left his tongue hanging out.... It was quite the sight to see that little bugger slurping on Kishi's muffin top fat. The poor lil dude started dry heaving, he was drenched in Kishi sweat and a mouth full of it to boot. We cut straight to another shot but it was too late, that lil guy's face had gone out Worldwide. I can't imagine what his first day back at shool's going to be like. To say his parents were irate would be an understatement. We gave them 10 VIP tickets to Wrestlemania and loaded them up with merch. Torrie the ditsy thing included some Rikishi dolls in there, luckily I spotted and removed them before we sent them off in a limo. I'm sure that kid won't want to be reminded of his encounter with the big man. Man I hope we've heard the last from them, I felt bad so I went and warned Rikishi about brawling in the crowd while perspiring like a broken dam. To make the situation even funnier at the time, I saw Albert who happened to be walking past. The guy was sweating just walking by! I've seen his matches he's another slippery one. I suggested he heed the same advice and he seemed to take offense to it. Rikishi is a great guy, he seemed to agree he has a problem. I don't know what's up with Albert.

Tomorrow nights taping will be very interesting. I'm waiting to see which of the WWF guys start getting an attitude about me bringing Eric in. I've already heard whispers.

The pyro ignites and WWF Nitro hits the airwaves for the first time. The familiar WWF logo is still present but gone are the Smackdown! logos. In their place the Nitro branding stands out on a WWF program.

Bischoff is stnding in the ring encouraging the cameraman to get a close up of the Nitro labeled microphone.

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/EricBischoff3.jpg

Bischoff revels in his comeback and at Vince's loss. He goes on to talk about WCW. He explains his torment as he watched the doomed "WCw Invasion" of the WWF and witnessing his company made to look

like a second rate carnival joke. He goes on to detail all of WCW's successes, he puts all the blame of the company's demise in Ted Turner's lap. He proclaims Nitro as his own and as such he can do

whatever he likes with the show. He pulls out a contract he claims is from the WWF Board of Directors, it's approval for "The creation of a Championship within the Nitro Brand which will be restricted only

to the Nitro Brand". The classic Bischoff smug grin appears, he squints at a part of the contract reading some fint print. He reads out a clause stating "If no Championship can be afforded due to the price

of gold or brass at said time a de-active Championship may be re-activated". He laughs wickedly and asks Vince and the WWF Board of Directors when the last time their legal department updated their contracts.

Bischoff is going to use the clause, he's going to re-activate a WWF Title"...He then goes on to reveal another bombshell....

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/DustyRhodes.jpghttp://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/MikeTenay-1.jpg

Bischoff: In fact I brought the title with me tonight, Dusty, Mike can you guys bring it out. Oh yeah along with some old friends of mine. Ahh Cole I don't know how to tell you this buddy you seem like

a nice guy and all but.... Get the hell out of my building you're fired!".

Dusty Rhodes and Mike Tenay wheel out what looks like a podium covered with a black blanket. They take it inside the ring for Bishoff who then names them as the new announcers for Nitro. He asks them to join

Taz and turns his attention back to the covered "mystery belt". Eric sweeps the black cover away to reveal the "WCW World Heavyweight Championship". He asks the crowd to fix their attention to the Titantron and

shows a clip.....

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dm2bGB4MAc&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dm2bGB4MAc&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Bischoff announces a tournament for the title which will take place over the coming weeks on Nitro. The first match will take place tonight between Booker T and Ric Flair as tonights main event! He claims the participants are

proven superstars and only the best made the cut. The tournament bracket appears on the Titantron.....

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/TournamentBrackets.jpg

http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g55/Costnaza9/TheUndertaker.jpg

Takers music hits and he comes riding down the ramp on his bike. Undertaker grabs the mic from Bischoffs hands. He lets Eric know he's never liked him and just because he's contracted to Nitro doesn't mean Bischoff

is his boss. Taker asks why he was left out of the tournament to name the first WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Eric stutters before regaining his composure and tells Taker he's never seen him wrestle but

"heard good things". Taker assures him he'll get the oppurtunity to see him in action. He warns Eric not to get on the wrong side of him. Taker holds out the new Nitro branded mic to give it back to Bischoff but crushes it in his

hands and steps on the shattered pieces before leaving the ring to his theme music "Rollin". He charges up his bike and speeds up the ramp and to the back.

This is my first time to Florida and I must say I'm impressed. There is a massive party going on right now and I'm here writing in this journal! I'm going to try to keep this brief so I don't miss any of it. The venue we performed in tonight is called Club La Vela and we're staying here tonight as well. The place is like Spring Break all year round! WCW actualy held their last Nitro here so I thought it fitting the place to revive it. The audience was mostly teenagers but they were on fire and helped make the night a memorable one.

I'm really trying to test Teddy Hart's attitude early on. I booked him in his second match for tonight and had him tap to Perry Saturn. He obliged with not a worry and I was again happily suprised. The kid has talent, I won't be asking him to job forever.

In the opener Davey Boy Simth was really off his game, Dusty helped on commentary though. Talking of Rhodes, he was great all night and looks to be a great signing.

I'm pleased with Rey Mysterio's debut, I wish I had more time to give him a little build first but we really need him wrestling on Nitro so I had to rush him to TV.

Nash looked good out there in The Outsiders WCW World Tag Team Title victory over Billy & Chuck. Vince warned me again about Hall and his problems when he saw the booking plans. He doesn't seem to be pleased I've rewarded Hall's recent discretions with a title belt but I think it's the only approach I can take with Scott. Everytime I try to get serious he looks at me like he's about to snap my head off and use it as a toothpick. I think I'm much better off stroking his ego for now while he's of use to me and see how it turns out. We've got a big flight coming soon and I think I'll use that oppurtunity to have a good one on one personal chat. Should be a nice long relaxing flight so he'll be at ease.

The main event went well, I thought Booker T and Flair went all out like I asked. Bookers face turn got over before he even turned so I'm relieved it didn't backfire. It's important he keep momentum right

now.

Big day tomorrow I have to face Vince in the office back in Stamford. I didn't exactly fill him in on my plans to re-activte the WCW World Title, all the ex-WCW guys kept asking me tonight if Vince and Hunter knew what I was doing. I assured them I'm in charge now, they seem pleased but all gave me a look like I'm crazy. They don't know Dad like I do..... or should I say know what I do.
