elite Wrestling revolution: Reimagined From The Start

Recommended Posts

So in the past, I've done several dynasties based off a game I started in my old TEW 05 straight through. So what I've done is started a reimagination of the game in TEW 08 (similar to what Wildfire did with his EPIC NWA Dynasty which everyone should read). I've basically reimagined my game universe, started it anew and hopefully we can make this one last or atleast have a fan base lol.

Bodog Entertainment Steps Into The Ring

elite Wrestling revolution to lead the new wrestling revolution

Pro wrestling; it's one of the most popular forms of entertainment world wide. And now Bodog.TV will help produce the next step in the evolution of professional wrestling. Today, Bodog.TV offically announced the formation of elite Wrestling revolution (eWr) and it's debut event, a massive two day event called "Crowning A Champion" to be held on Friday and Saturday night April 7 & 8th from the world famous Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

elite Wrestling revolution features a no nonsense style of high flying, hard hitting, strong style wrestling skill not seen on television. Unlike the competeors, eWr isn't all about idiotic storylines, outrageous characters, low risk manuevers and a lack of logic. eWr brings Wrestling back into focus. eWr will feature the new and future stars of pro wrestling. Some of the names who have already joined the revolution include British bruiser Nigel McGuiness, mat master Mike Quackenbush, eWr's resident jokester Colt Cabana, ****y Canadian "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen, Swiss aristrocrat Claudio Castagnoli, "the savior of pro wrestling" Chris Hero, masked enigma Delirious and many more. eWr will also feature recgonizable stars including Canadian mat legend Lance Storm, the ever devious Stevie Richards and the unstable "head" of eWr Al Snow.

The brainchild of billionaire digital entertainment mogul Calvin Ayre and former wrestlers Tom Carter, Ace Darling and eWr's own Mike Quackenbush, each and every eWr show combines the best wrestling in the world along with a production quality second to none. Our main goal is to give the wrestling fan what they are clamoring for, a real and entertaining presentation of the sport of professional wrestling. Unlike the other promotions out there, eWr puts the fans number one and will present many unique ways for fans to communicate with wrestlers as well as to comment on the product.

“The creation of eWr is another example of how we are becoming a dominating force in mainstream digital entertainment,” says Ayre, creator of a number of reality television series and Founder and CEO of Bodog.com Entertainment Group. “Pro wrestling has always been a popular form of media and in my own personal experience I've loved it. As a child I remember being astounded by the athleticism of the stars of the old Stampede promotion and the larger than life characters of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage. When I moved to the States in the 90's, I became hooked again when I saw the cutting edge TV of ECW. Now with elite Wrestling revolution, the next great promotion under our belt along with BodogFIGHT, these two ventures and the popularity both wrestling and MMA encompass, hosting and producing our own world-class sporting event marks the next step in the evolution of our entertainment brand. BodogTV has evolved into an international TV production powerhouse.”

Crowning A Champion: Night One

-Joey Ryan was the first man in an eWr ring, where he band mouthed the East Coast fans as fat losers who didn't deserve to see a finley tuned athlete like himself. Nigel McGuinness does not feel the same way, defeating Ryan with the Tower Of London

-A very fast pased three way cruiserweight battle ends with Jigsaw stealing a upset after pinning Michael Shane following a Jig N Tonic

-Despite immense crowd support, the BLK OUT's Ruckus fell to the much hated Chris Hero and his Hero's Welcome. Hero was accompanied to the ring by Larry Sweeney and longtime tag partner Claudio Castagnoli.

-Claudio stayed out there as he and the masked Delirious batteled in a very competitive match, which ended in Castagnoli pinning "The Lizard Man" following a Ricola Bomb.

-Eddie Kingston and recent WWE releasee Stevie Richards battled next in a very rough battle. The veteran Richards defeated the local favorite Kingston following a catapult into the ring post, and then a pin with his feet on the ropes. Following the match a clearly pissed off Kingston kicked the ropes and had to be cooled down by BLK OUT's hype man Robbie Merino

-Back from a brief intermission, we saw an excelent technical battle between Mike Quackenbush and Kevin Steen. Despite a Package Piledriver by Steen, Quackenbush scores the come from behind win after locking him in the Lightning Lock for the submission victory. A clearly pissed Steen stared Quack down as he made his way to the back.

-Not to be out done, two former WWE stars collided in an excelent technical contest as Lance Storm defeated Frankie Kazarian following the Canadian Maple Leaf. The almost unamious pro Storm crowd chanted "You Still Got It" as this is Storm's first match back in nearly 2 years.

-A surprisingly good tag team encounter saw indy vets The Backseat Boyz battle with young Canadians El Generico and Beef Wellington. While the Backseats had an advantage for much of the match, the young duo scored an upset win as Generico landed a victory roll on Kashmere. Following the match, a pissed Backseats attacked Generico and Wellington, nailing two Backseat Bombs and leaving the two on the mat.

-The upset of the night was up next as young Davey Richards shocked the world by defeating former WWE and ECW star Tajiri with his DR Driver. Following the match, a clearly shocked Tajiri shook hands with Davey.

-In our night's main event, we saw two of the more "comedic" wrestlers in eWr compete as Larry Sweeney faced off with Colt Cabana. Despite a comedic strut off in the opening of the match, it was a rather solid match. Sweeney attempted the classic powder in the eyes but Cabana kicked it back in his face and nailed the Colt 45 for the win. Following the match, Sweeney was escorted out of the ring by Hero and Claudio who claim they'll have their revenge. Cabana blew them off and celebrated as the show closed and our brackets for tommrow were set.

Crowning A Champion: Night Two

-Our opening contest is a very hot technical battle as Mike Quackenbush faces former partner Chris Hero. Hero gets the win and advances in the tournament following a Hero's Welcome. Hero is congraulated by Claudio Castagnoli and Larry Sweeney following the match.

-The veteran Stevie Richards won the battle of the Richards, as he fought off the youngster Davey Richards off, defeating him and advancing him following Richards missing a Yakuza Kick and walking into a Stevie Kick.

-In a technical showcase and battle of foreign stars, Lance Storm advanced in the title tournament by defeating Claudio Castagnoli after locking him in the Canadian Maple Leaf. However following the match, Storm was attacked by Hero and Sweeney, until they were ran off Colt Cabana and Nigel McGuiness.

-In our final quarter final match, former tag team partners clashed in what was thought to be the then match of the night. Nigel McGuinness brutalized Colt Cabana with several brain damaging lariats, but the "Windy City Warrior" defeated Nigel after catching Nigel in an Oklahoma Roll. Following the match, the two shook hands to the cheers of the crowd.

-The masked duo of Jigsaw and Hallowicked used their youth and speed to their advantage as they defeated the team of Michael Shane and Chris Cage following Hallowicked nailed Cage with the Graveyard Smash. Following the match, Shane ever the sportsman nailed his partner Cage with a superkick.

-We're now treated to a relativly quick bonus match as Beef Wellington defeats former ROH World Champion Xavier with the EColi Driver.

-The title tournament has it's first finalist as Stevie Richards gets a rather nefarious win over Lance Storm, after following Storm accidently superkicking referee Brian Hebner, Richards blasting Storm in the head with chair and then nailing the StevieT on Storm. A smirking Richards went to the back as Storm only started to regain his bearings.

-The finals were thusly made as Colt Cabana fought off not only Chris Hero but Castagnoli and Sweeney as well, when Cabana nailed the Colt 45 for the victory. However things took a dramatic turn when the 3 attacked Cabana following the matchup.

-Following a brief intermission, in a throwaway comedy match, Tajiri defeated Larry Sweeney with the Kick of Death to the head of "Sweet and Sour".

-In a big 6 man tag team match, The BLK OUT defeated Frankie Kazarian and The Backseat Boyz in a competative match, after Eddie Kingston NAILED Trent Acid with a skull crushing backdrop driver for the victory. Following the match, Robbie Merino invited the entire crowd to a "smoke out" following the show.

-In the clear match of the night, "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen won the 4 Corners match after pining El Generico following a Package Piledriver. Very highspot laced match inclouding Ryan nailing the Moustache Ride onto Steen and Delirious, needs to be seen to believed.

-In the main event of the evening, Colt Cabana became the first eWr World Heavyweight Champion in a very competative match against Stevie Richards. Cabana was busted wide open early on as Richards took Colt apart as a veteran only could. However Colt mounted a comeback, capped with a big standing Moonsault Press onto Stevie. Richards got back up first and called for a Stevie Kick. Cabana bolts to the left, nails a spin kick to the head and lands a Colt 45 and the pin. Cabana celebrated with his title, as the trio of Hero, Claudio and Sweeney looked at the new champion from the ramp.

<p></p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong><span style="font-size:18px;">May 2006</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

- eWr's first event was a huge success in both a financial and critical sense. The event stired up a big amount of chatter across the wrestling world. Alot of this chater comes from those villianizing owner Calvin Ayre and booker Tom Carter over signing a majority of it's stars away from the Ring Of Honor promotion.</p><p> </p><p>

-Without a television show, eWr did a combination of house shows and airing taped segments, matches, etc on it's website so they could build up for their next show, "May Massacre" from the mecca of indy wrestling, The ECW Arena.</p><p> </p><p>

-The main event of "May Massacre" would have new eWr World Heavyweight Champion "Classic" Colt Cabana defending his title against a man he defeated on his way to the title in Chris Hero. Hero announces that the group of himself, Claudio Castagnoli and Larry Sweeney are the most powerful force in pro wrestling; The Kings Of Wrestling and they promise they will soon enough have that title. Cabana on the other hand, took the threats in stride claiming the only hero he fears is Aquaman because he (Colt) doesn't know how to swim and if they were to ever fight, he'd be screwed.</p><p> </p><p>

-We will also see a battle of European stars as Claudio Castagnoli faces Nigel McGuiness. The two had been trading insults over who is the true best wrestler in all of Europe. Maybe this issue will be settled at the ECW Arena.</p><p> </p><p>

-Another big storyline for eWr was announcement that at May Massacre, mangement will announce a new president and other major news. Many have been wondering who it will be and what they will bring to eWr.</p><p> </p><p>

-Overall a relativly quiet month for eWr as the company continues to grow and become a name in the business.</p><p>

-In the opening contest, Joey Ryan accompanied by Jade Chung defeated Delirious in a close battle after The Moustache Ride.

-The fans were treated to a very entertaining 8 man lucha rules match, as the team of Ruckus, Sabian, Jigsaw and Hallowicked defeated the team of Frankie Kazarian, Michael Shane and the debuting duo of Josh Prohibition and Matt Cross following Sabian hitting the Double Stomp followed by Ruckus' Poetic Ruckus for the pin. Following the match, Shane threw a pretty big temper tantrum going off how he's a wrestling pedigree and he is out there with inferior wrestlers but claims that will end as he has resigned with TNA and this would be his final match in eWr. This leads to Lance Storm coming out and putting eWr over huge and an imprompteu match started ending with Storm almost immeditly knocking Shane out with a superkick. Huge Storm and eWr chant breaks out.

-Lance Storm and Davey Richards wrestled to a 20 minute draw in an excelent technical battle. Following the match the two shook hands to a big reaction from the crowd.

-In a very stiff and hard hitting contest, Eddie Kingston defeated Kevin Steen after landing a surprising inside cradle for the win. A very pissed Steen kicked the ropes following the match.

-Right before intermission, a video played of eWr owner Calvin Ayre announcing that there would be a new president of eWr, someone who knows wrestling and how to continue to make eWr the most exciting promotion in wrestling. Famaliar music played and out came former ECW star Al Snow. Snow addressed the crowd and thanked them for the support and then announced that at the next show we will see the crowning of 2 new titles, the eWr World Tag Team and eWr World Hybrid Champions and these two divisions will continue to prove that eWr is leading the new wrestling revolution.

-In a battle of two teams who will definetly be a part of the new tag team division, The Backseat Boyz avenged their defeat after nailing the Backseat Bomb on Beef Wellington, right after he was nailed in the head with a Trent Acid chair shot.

-In a fun matchup for the "legitimate" ICW/ICWA Texarkana TV Title, Mike Quackenbush defeated Larry Sweeney by countout, after Sweeney who took quite the beating from Quack simply took his title and left. Quackenbush laughed it off as he played to the fans.

-Stevie Richards, still pissed from losing to Colt Cabana last month, took out his frustrations on Devon Storm in a decent matchup ending with Stevie nailing the StevieT for the win. Following the match, Stevie took a mic and claimed he was the true face of eWr and claimed that the World Title would soon enough be his.

-The fans were treated to a MOTY canidate as Nigel McGuinness clashed with Claudio Castagnoli in a 28 minute instant classic. The match ended with Claudio attempting a Match Killer, but only to have Nigel slip out and nailing a rebound Lariat for the victory. Following the match, we thought we were going to see a handshake, but Claudio spat at Nigel ang nailed him in the gut and a brawl insued before wrestlers and referees had to break the two up.

-In the main event of the evening, Colt Cabana successfully defended his eWr World Heavyweight Title against Chris Hero in a very solid matchup after nailing the Colt 45 and then rolling Hero up in a Magistral at 23:42. Following the match as Cabana celebrated, Hero's cohorts in the Kings Of Wrestling, Claudio Castagnoli and Larry Sweeney ran down and attacked Cabana until out ran Nigel McGuinness, who then himself fell to the numbers game, until from the back rand down Stevie Richards with a chair, who cleared the ring. The Kings hesitated to the back as Richards helped a confused Cabana and Nigel to their feet.

June 2006

-The Kings Of Wrestling stable became an even great force in June when the trio won the first annual King Of Trios tournament held in CHIKARA. The award immeditly went to the trio's respective heads and as a result of the end of May Massacre, the trio made a formal challenge to the team of eWr World Heavyweight Champion Colt Cabana, Nigel McGuinness and surprisingly Stevie Richards.

-The other big news was the creations of both the Tag Team and Hybrid title divisions. Over the month at house shows across the country, 2 tournaments have been taking place to determine new champions. In the tag team division, it has gotten down to 4 teams of The Backseat Boyz, BLK OUT, El Generico and Beef Wellington and Josh Prohibition and Matt Cross. The Hybrid title, which is eWr's version of the X Division/Crusierweight title has seen very solid competition and has led to it's finals of Joey Ryan and Mike Quackenbush.

-New eWr president Al Snow has announced a new talent initiative and has put out an open contest for young indy wrestlers all over the country to make a name for themselves in eWr.

-As a result of their draw at May Massacre, Lance Storm and Davey Richards have challenged each other to a rematch so they could see who the true better man is. The same has been said between the issue of Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen, however Steen is rather positive and certain that the loss was nothing more but a fluke.

-In a rather dull opener, Jigsaw defeated Disco Machine following the Jig N Tonic.

- A surprisingly good contest saw debuting Scorpio Sky defeated Midwestern standout Silias Young with a running double arm DDT.

-Frankie Kazarian is out, putting himself over as "The Best Around" and calls out the person who accepted his open challenge. Out runs the enigmatic Delirious and in an upset victory, Delirious gets the pin over Kazarian after rolling under a potential Kazarian backdrop with a school boy. A clearly shocked Kazarian screams at the ref wondering what happened.

-In yet another hard hitting battle between two of eWr's heavy hitters, Eddie Kingston defeated Kevin Steen via DQ after a frustrated Steen, pissed that Kingston kicked out of both a Package Piledriver and Steenalizer, got a chair and bloodied Kingston with it.

-Our first eWr World Hybrid Champion was crowned when Joey Ryan defeated Mike Quackenbush in an excelent battle which ended rather nefariously when Ryan's manager Jade Chung threw salt into the eyes of Quack who walked into a Ryan superkick for the win.

-A clear match of the year canidate saw a budding rivarly between Davey Richards and Lance Storm continue as the two put on yet another technical show, once again ending in a draw between the two. Once again the 2 shool hands in a sign of respect.

-We crowned new eWr World Tag Team Champions in rather stunning fashion in the 4 Way Fray. Out first was the BRB duo of Matt Cross and Josh Prohibition were the first to be eliminated after Ruckus pinned Cross following a Falcon Arrow. However surpringly the BLK OUT would be the next to be eliminated after Trent Acid Yakuza Kicked Sabian hard and got a pin with both feet on the ropes. It then came down to the Backseat Boyz and the underdog and beaten up team of El Generico and Beef Wellington. The Backseats had it in the bag but their arrogance got the best of them as Beef dropkicked Acid, taunting the crowd to the outside, allowing Generico to nail a BRAINBUSTAH on Kashmere for the shocking win. The crowd was huge for Generico and Beef who bailed out of the ring as The Backseats with bats in hand charged after them.

-In the main event of the evening, The Kings of Wrestling defeated the team of Colt Cabana, Nigel McGuinness and Stevie Richards, when after 25 minutes of action, Cabana made a hot tag to Stevie Richards who as soon as he was tagged in, nailed Cabana in the face with a Stevie Kick. McGuinness ran in to attempt to help Cabana but eventually fell to the numbers game. All4 KOW then hit their finishers on Cabana for the win. Following the match, Stevie was introduced as the newest member of the KOW. Stevie then cuts a promo, shooting on everyone from Paul Heyman to Vince McMahon to the eWr staff. Stevie claims he has earned his place at the top of eWr and now with the KOW behind him his goal of proving to everyone that he is the best wrestler in the world will be quickly achieved and he'll prove everyone wrong...you'll see.

July 2006

-The success of eWr began to fuel rumors of possible expansion as CEO Calvin Ayre praised eWr nonstop during his press tour for the new season of bodogFIGHT referencing the impending eWr TV and PPV deals.

-The hottest angle in eWr was clearly the new Colt Cabana/Stevie Richards feud. The new version of The Kings Of Wrestling became a hot interview, making their case for domination of eWr known. However, the usually comical Colt Cabana is clearly not pleased with these devolpments, nor is his new found partner Nigel McGuinness. We have learned we will see a special tag team match at "Scars and Stripes" as Cabana teams with Nigel to face any two members of the Kings Of Wrestling. However, the interesting aspect of this match comes in the form of a recent attack made on Cabana by the KOWs following a title defense against Larry Sweeney. What kind of shape will Cabana be in.

-The hottest WRESTLING feud in recent memory of Lance Storm vs. Davey Richards continues to be hot as both men agreed to yet another rematch, this time with a 45 minute time limit. Both men claimed they will break the stalemate between them and prove who truly is the best in the land.

-A formally lukewarm feud has literly exploded into the main scene of eWr as Eddie Kingston is now out for the blood of "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen following his actions at "Motor City Massacre". At several house shows, the two have had several brawls, all ending with Steen running away.

-The Hybrid Title has already gone to Joey Ryan's head as he and manager Jade Chung have already proclaimed Ryan as the "greatest hybrid wrestler ever". This has angered the original hybrid wrestler in Mike Quackenbush and the two will once again face off for the title.

-The underdog team of El Generico and Beef Wellington has surprisngly gotten through their first month as champions defeating BRB in a series of matches across the house show circut, but these matches were usually ended by a Backseat Boyz run in. The duo, despite their dirty tactics have proven their worth recently and have been granted number one contendership.

-The show starts off with a bang for the eWr World Tag Team Titles as despite their best efforts of severly injuring the knee of Beef Wellington, The Backseat Boyz were unable to unseat Wellington and El Generico for the titles, after referee Bryce Remsberg disqualified The Backseats after they refused to break a double boston crab on Wellington. Following the match, Wellington was wheeled out of the arena.

-In a rematch from their battle last month, the ever arrogant Frankie Kazarian went 0-2 aainst Delirious after "The Lizard Man" scored with the Shadows Over Hell. Following the match, an ever pissed Kazarian attacked Delirious, nailing two Flux Compacitors on Delirious.

-A nice high flying tag tem battle saw The BLK OUT defeat BRB after Sabian nailed the BLK Jez Stomp on the head of Josh Prohibition.

-No DQ Rules saw a very very hard hitting brawl involving chairs and tables but with a much different ending from the past as "Mr. Wrestling" Kevin Steen defeated Eddie Kingston after using Kingston's own backdrop suplex onto 2 set up chairs. After the match, Steen put the boots to Kingston before the member of BLK OUT saved their partner.

-An excelent battle for the eWr World Hybrid Title saw a rather cheap finish when Joey Ryan retained the title over Mike Quackenbush, despite Quack dominating most of the match, Ryan simply took his title and he and Jade Chung simply left the arena.

-For the third straight month, Lance Storm and Davey Richards tore the house down in a technical showcase, and for the third straight time we have seen another time limit draw, ending with Storm locking in the Canadian Maple Leaf but Davey holding out as time expires. Following the match, Storm grabs a mic and procedes to challenge Davey next month for one last match to finally settle this issue, a one hour Iron Man Match. Davey accepted and the two have a intense handshake.

-In our main event, the Kings of Wrestling defeated Colt Cabana and Nigel McGuinness in a bizzare challenge match. Soon after Nigel and Cabana came out, the KOW apparently sent out their duo to face Nigel and Cabana in the duo of "Swiss and Sour" Claudio Castagnoli and Larry Sweeney. This was a hotly fought match and as Nigel nailed Sweeney with a Lariat and Colt nailing the Colt 45 on Claudio, from the back ran in Chris Hero and Stevie Richards and the duo attacked Nigel and Colt, Richards then offically announces he and Hero would actually be facing Nigel and Colt. After several minutes of battling, Nigel is floored by a Hero's Welcome and then into a StevieT for a huge win for the KOWs. Post match the 4some attacked Nigel savagly as Cabana was hung in the ropes, as the Kings , mainly Stevie claimed they'd break Nigel's arm if Cabana didn't allow Stevie a World Title shot. Cabana agreed as the Kings smirked.....as they then smashed Nigel's arm in the steel chair. The Kings bailed as Colt got free and looked over his fallen friend as the Kings posed on the entrance way as medics came out to check on the arm of Nigel.

  • 2 weeks later...

August 2006

-eWr took a hit as Nigel McGuinness legitmatly injured his arm, leaving him out of eWr for an undetermined amount of time.

-The actions at the end of Scars and Stripes prompted for an offical eWr Title defense as at Hotter Than Hell, Colt Cabana would defend his title against Stevie Richards. The Kings have attempted to soften Cabana up for his match, as he has faced all three members of the KOW during the month, but all ending in Cabana wins.

-The battles between Lance Storm and Davey Richards was to finally end as both men made hefty claims for their upcoming Iron Man Match.

-In two similar yet different stories of cowardace, two feuds were combined at Hotter Than Hell as Mike Quackenbush will team with Eddie Kingston to face their hot rivals in Joey Ryan and Kevin Steen. Throughout the month, in both cases we have seen the heel's talking a big game only to get ran off by the faces.

-The eWr World Tag Team Title Situation has been in limbo following the severe Calf tear and knee injury of Beef Wellington, yet as a result of it El Generico has refused to give up the title, we have been told that a final decision will be made at Hotter Than Hell.

-The business side of eWr continued to be hotter than ever, as it was again considered to be the hottest indy promotion in the land. eWr owner Calvin Ayre continued to hype potential "big moves" for eWr in the near future.

-We open with a mass Kings Of Wrestling promo in ring, speaking that tonight would be step one in their takeover of eWr. Larry Sweeney stays out and in rather convincing fashion defeats Scorpio Sky to defend his ICW/ICWA Texarkana TV Title after nailing the 12 Large Elbow Drop for the victory.

-The bad luck of the BRB finally ended apparently after the duo defeated the debuting team of Arik Cannon and Danny Daniels following Josh Prohibition nailing the Sobriety Test, followed by an amazing shooting star legdrop by Matt Cross. However, things got interesting following the match, when a frustrated Daniels attacked Cannon, dropping him with 2 jumping piledrivers before exiting to a chorus of boos.

-Our first grudge match saw Frankie Kazarian finally defeat Delirious, sort of. Delirious dominated much of the match again, before locking Kazarian in a Cobra Clutch. Kazarian got to the ropes and as referee Brian Hebner attempted to break the hold, Kazarian nailed a vicious low blow to Delirious and then rolling Delirious up with a handful of tights for the win. An angry Delirious screamed as a smirking Kazarian made his way backstage.

-The night of grudges continued as two major feuds combined in very hectic fashion. The student/teacher team of Mike Quackenbush and Eddie Kingston surprisingly worked very well together despite their different styles. However, the team of Kevin Steen and Joey Ryan did an excelent job in their first turn together. The match ended with Kingston nailing a huge backdrop driver on Ryan and signaled for his Royal Flush DDT, however in snuck in Kevin Steen with a chair and blasted Kingston in the head with the chair. In ran Quack who attacked Steen, but led to Ryan getting the chair and smashing Quackenbush in the back with the chair. Steen and Ryan stand triumphantly as they are escorted out of the ring.

-No matter who wins the eWr Tag Team Titles, they'll have a very difficult time come their next defense as The Kings Of Wrestling defeated The BLK OUT to become the new number one contenders after taking out Sabian with the ever feared KRS ONE for the victory.

-Speaking of the tag titles, the eWr Tag Team Titles were finally settled. The Backseats claimed they should be tag champs as Beef Wellington was too injured to wrestle and because of it Generico should also give up his half of the titles as well. However Generico was told if he could find a partner, he would be able to keep and defend the titles. Well Generico came out by himself all sad, as the Backseats were laughing and assuming they'd be getting the titles, bu Generico swerved them as he unveiled Jigsaw as his new partner and off we went in a very athletic and back and forth contest. The Backseats attempt the Backseat Bomb on Generico, but Jigsaw pulled him out of it and the 2 nailed simultanious Yakuza Kicks and Jigsaw nailing Acid with the JigNTonic for the victory and successful defense of their titles.

-And here we go, one hour of nonstop action as Lance Storm and Davey Richards literly tore the house down in their apparent final display of absolutle technical wizardry. However, much like their other matches, we got to the 50 minute mark we had 0 pins or submissions. At 55 minutes Storm locked Davey in the Canadian Maple Leaf and wrenched it in. Davey struggled and got to the ropes, at the 58 minute mark. Storm raised up Davey for a manuever and Davey then nailed an inside package and finally got a 3 count. With one minute left, Storm took it to Davey and once again locked him in the Maple Leaf, but Davey fought the pain and went on to win the match. Following the match, Storm was clearly upset, but proceded to shake his hand. He then requested a mic and said that Richards is everything wrestling should be and proceded to ask Davey if he could mentor Davey. Davey said it would be an honor and the 2 hugged and raised hands to a standing ovation. Suddenly from the back ran in Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli who savagly attacked both men. Hero then grabbed a mic and claimed Richards and Storm aren't what wrestling are all about, the Kings are wrestling and after all of the gold is theirs, this will be proven.

-In the main event of the evening, Colt Cabana defeated Stevie Richards in a very solid contest after ducking under a Stevie Kick and nailing the Colt 45 in a recreation of the ending of the HBK/Austin WM14 title match. Following the match, the Kings ran down to the ring and attacked Cabana. Suddenly from the back ran down Davey Richards and Lance Storm to aid Cabana but the numbers game got to them. Suddenly, familar music hit and out walked Nigel McGuinness with his injured arm in a sling. The Kings laughed as an injured Nigel entered the ring. Nigel then took out a lead pipe from his sling and wildly bashed any King left standing before they all bailed. The show ended with Nigel helping Cabana up as the Kings went backstage.

September 2006

-The battle lines were now drawn and all out war was on between The Kings of Wrestling and the newly put together group of Colt Cabana, Davey Richards, Lance Storm and the still injured Nigel McGuinness. A string of pull apart brawls and hard hitting bouts have been prevalent all month, which forced eWr President Al Snow to announce that we would see a special 3 match series of no DQ matches at "Fight Night" as Davey Richards and Lance Storm would face Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli, Larry Sweeney vs. Nigel McGuinness (if Nigel is medically cleared) and in the night's main event, in a non title match, Colt Cabana vs. Stevie Richards.

-The feud between Eddie Kingston and Kevin Steen continued to intensify following the ending of their tag team battle at "Hotter Than Hell". Kingston no longer had a competative beef with Steen, but now a personal one. Yet at almost every opportunity, Steen continued to run away from Kingston, who promised he wouldn't stop until Steen stood and fought, not wrestle him.

-eWr Hybrid champion Joey Ryan continued to silence those who claimed he wasn't fir to hold the belt, defeating Hallowicked and Arik Cannon during the month. But despite this, he still continues to seemingly dodge perenial number one contender and arch rival Mike Quackenbush. As a result of this, Al Snow announced the two would battle one more time, this time in a match where the title can change hands through a count out.

-Luckily for the eWr Tag Team Champions Jigsaw and El Generico (now known as JigNerico) their match against The Kings Of Wrestling had been postponded to a later date following Al Snow's decree. But the month wouldn't be easy, as The Backseat Boyz made the duo's life a living hell, despite the fact they were no longer number one contenders. We did learn the champs would be facing a duo which is now surprisingly on a hot streak in The BRB at "Fight Night". But what is interesting is that we have learned the BRB have formed a "pack" with the Backseats where if they were to help BRB win, they would get the first title shot.

-The shoe was on the other foot as Delirious was now out for a measure of revenge against Frankie Kazarian following the cheating victory by Kazarian. But Kazarian has gotten rather good at runing away from the insane masked man.
