Let's be honest, I'm probably predicting Kate until she loses.

I dislike betting against the champ, even in a tag match.

As an aside, that Peak segment on the previous show was delicious.

Phil's boys may not be a regular team but they are by far getting the strongest push

American Buffalo w/ Floyd Goldworthy vs. Texas Pete (non-title)

According to Regis Buffalo must still have some value not get the JOBBER!! treatmment.

TCW Womens Championship

Kate Dangerous © vs. Raku Makuda

Dangerous has held this belt long enough now that the first title change wont be happening out of nowhere on free TV.

Chris Rockwell vs. Sayeed Ali

Rockwell's much more established, Ali is still paying his dues. Mind you given how stacked TCW is now, can anyone truly forsee a time Ali would had risen any higher than the lower end of the midcard?

British Lions w/ Laura Huggins vs. The Machines- DRAW

British Lions are getting a very strong push and I can honestly see them winning this, but something tells me that you know that you need to re-establish The Machines.....I'll actually go with Blake on this one and say that it ends in some kind of draw.

Jack Bruce vs. Troy Tornado- DRAW

Another draw here as this one ends in a no contest schmozz, I don't think until these two meet on PPV that one of them will win cleanly over the other.

Eddie Peak & Johnny Bloodstone w/ Blonde Bombshell vs. Jeremy Stone & Sammy Bach

When in doubt I go with the keeping the champion looking strong card in these hard to call main event tags.

Davis Wayne Newton & Frankie Perez w/ Phil Vibert

There's a surprising amount of activity from both of the less prominent teams here; Acid and UK Dragon strike as the bell rings with stereo spinwheel kicks, dropping Newton and Statler. Waldorf promptly retaliates, charging Acid and forcing him into the corner, raining down fists before dragging him back out for a suplex.

Dragon closes in on him, jumping him from behind, and the two GenOmega men step backward, watching with smirks on their faces as the other teams work on each other, with Statler coming to his ally's rescue.

The Express go one on one with Acid Dragon, but Acid Dragon begin to overwhelm them, largely led by Acid's contributions. That leads to Marv Statler taking a hell of a beatdown, but Dean Waldorf sneaks a roll-up out of nowhere on UK Dragon while Acid's occupied. He notices, of course, and turns to deal with it – but Frankie Perez catches him with a hook kick to prevent the pinfall being broken up.

Elimination #1: Acid Dragon

Newton and Perez spring instantly to life, however, with Newton executing a solid chain wrestling sequence against Dean Waldorf which ends with him tossing Waldorf from the ring, and Perez continuing to beat down the wounded Statler. The P-Dawg hops up onto the top rope for an Arabian moonsault, coming crashing down onto Statler to secure the pin.

“Huh,” Doakes chuckles. “Break his belt and suddenly he's fighting more like an All-Action guy.”

American Buffalo w/ Floyd Goldworthy vs. Texas Pete

As two very old-school brawlers, it's probably no surprise that these two mens' styles gel well together. Buffalo, however, continues a downward trend in his work, with Pete dominating from the beginning. Buffalo just can't get his feet back under him, and impressively, Pete manages to lift him properly for the Lone Star Drop and get the win.

First We Take Manhattan hits and Pete looks up at the entranceway, seeing Phil Vibert standing looking on impassively.

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/DavisWayneNewton.jpg

Which means he doesn't see Davis Wayne Newton roll into the ring with the Hard-Hitting Championship taken from ringside, swinging hard to blast Pete from behind. After he drops the champion, he stomps him a couple of times, discards the belt, hits the ropes and dropkicks the downed Pete in the face before leaving, his message sent.

Kate Dangerous © vs. Raku Makuda

It's clear, at this point, that at least these two women have begun to develop a major following in the ring, probably growing out of the subset of TCW fans who are Japanophiles when it comes to wrestling.

Dangerous and Makuda go head-to-head in a truly brutal fashion, putting it all on the line, and after a vicious brainbuster Dangerous is bleeding, a slender trickle running down from her mouth. As Azaria plays up the risk of internal injuries, Dangerous manages to kick out on a long two-count; Makuda DDTs her and takes to the top rope, looking for the Swanton Bomb – but she hesitates, as a massive woman rolls into the ring wearing wrestling gear.

Alt credit to jhd1

The woman Azaria identifies as “Gorgon” forcibly lifts Dangerous off the ground, elbows the referee away – drawing a disqualification – and scores with the Hydra Bomb, leaving the champion out of it on the canvas.

Devil May Care begins to play once again, and Aaron Andrews comes out, microphone in hand. “Alright,” he says. “Hold it. You're going after her now?

“Because you came for me last week. And the way I see it, we have nothing in common, me and her. So what's going on?”

She stares at him for a long, long moment, face impassive as stone, before slowly smiling – at which point she also extends a finger, pointing behind Andrews. He turns to see Edd Stone's boot coming his way with an Edd-Renaline Shot.

“WHOOO!” Edd yells, waving both hands in the air. He does a brief, impromptu breakdance, then bolts back offstage. Gorgon follows with a smirk.

Chris Rockwell vs. Sayeed Ali

Sayeed has a very simple gameplan here; get Rockwell to lose his temper. It's clear what he's going for, and it's a sensible enough strategy, but each time Rockwell nearly snaps he manages to pull it back, and the ensuing brawl is pretty savvy overall.

Without Ali's strategy bearing fruit, however, Rockwell is able to keep control, recapturing it when he loses it, and a Furusawa Armbar ends this.

As the show returns from commercial, the British Lions are in the ring with Laura Huggins, and Art Reed & Greg Keith are coming down to the ring, the Blonde Bombshell behind them. Matthew Keith's wheelchair is rolling along behind, too.

Laura holds the microphone in her hand and smiles slightly as the newcomers stop just outside the ring.

“I'm sure you see this coming,” she says. “I asked for you to come down to make it official, though. The Lions want another shot at your Tag Team belts, and we want it at Total Mayhem. We don't think you're going to get a better match as an alternative, either – not for a show like that.

“Merle didn't let the Buffalo get to you for a reason, you know.”

Reed and Greg look at each other for a moment, then back to Matthew, who shrugs, looking away.

“Alright,” Reed says quietly. “You're on.”

“How's Sean?” Greg asks. Laura's face falls, and she doesn't answer; and the Machines' music begins to play...

British Lions w/ Laura Huggins vs. The Machines

While their manager is rattled, it sure seems like the Lions are focused nonetheless. The Machines go back and forth with them, and a number of strategies put together by both sides from previous matches are tried again, only to be countered or blocked.

The series between these two continues to evolve, as both sides mount new offensives and try new tricks. Walter Morgan, particularly, looks far better than he once was, and he has a Wigan Wrench on John Anderson for a few moments before Brent breaks it up. A Complete Package attempt is promptly countered, and Anderson tries for an Ammo Dump but Merle O'Curle comes in to break things up.

That's the general shape of the match; twenty minutes on, the bell rings with neither team able to end it, much to the frustration of both sides.

Backstage, and Sam Keith is talking softly with Matthew when Tommy Cornell arrives. Keith looks up, falling silent.

“Look,” Cornell says. “You don't have to like me. You don't have to want to help me. You just have to want Generation Omega dealt with more.

“And you know they've got to be coming after you.

“We saw eye to eye, man. I admit I got carried away. Hell, you saw how things changed after you left... I did take some of what you said to heart.

“And together, we're an incredible team. We can beat them... we can deal with this.

“You know they're going to be coming for you, Sam. It only makes sense to deal with 'em before they get there.”

Keith stares. “You phony son of a bitch,” he says softly. “You rehearsed that, didn't you?”

He rises to his feet, stepping across to Cornell. “You sat down and you thought OK, I've tried the Stars, I've been shot down by Golden and Bloodstone, I need this. That about right?”

Cornell says nothing, just returns the gaze solemnly.

“They're going to come for me. Yeah, I know.

“I'm used to people coming for me. You came after me, and that didn't do great for you.

“Mind you, YOU came after my boys. And that I can't forgive.

“Generation Omega can do what they like to me. They probably will. But I don't owe you a damn thing, Tommy, and if you think I believe you wouldn't have tried wiping my team out if you'd won Cage Wars, you've got to be crazy – or think I'm stupid.

“I ain't stupid, Tommy. I ain't gonna say I hope you rot because your world just got turned upside down on you and you might just learn from it. But I ain't your friend, and I don't think I will be again any time soon.”

Jack Bruce vs. Troy Tornado

As the two frontmen face off, the crowd is already electric, and the pair don't disappoint; this isn't the kind of slick match either man is famous for, this is a slugfest, and an intense one that clearly takes its toll on both men.

A notable moment on the outside sees Jack Bruce attempt to deliver the New York Minute through onto the steel steps, but Tornado dodges to leave Bruce crashing unprotected into the steel.

That gives Tornado a major advantage, which he loses only when Bruce's legs give out, meaning Tornado's Star Maker goes flying wide and the former World Champ smashes into the turnbuckle.

Bruce slowly rallies, and after a solid punch, he scores the pin – but Doakes calls for a replay, and the fans at home see brass knuckles on the hand as Bruce connects.

Another fantastic match here, with all four men really tearing the house down. There's a variety of styles here, but the two former DaVE men and the two former NOTBPW men mesh well and provide a real display of excellence.

Johnny in particular comes across as a real champion, and it's kind of shocking when the match ends – because it ends with Eddie Peak tapping out, something many would have thought incomprehensible, to the Stone Hold...

In a strong opening contest, Frankie Perez takes a shocking loss against Shingen Miyazaki to an Ankle Lock. Most of the bout was given over to a duel of submissions, with Miyazaki's dogged determination around the ankle proving decisive. (Rating: B-)

Naturally, Team KOBRA come out to salute their victorious member as ever. From gestures, it looks like they're discussing making a bid for Perez' All-Action Championship – a fact that doesn't appear to sit well with Thunder Snake.

In a thoroughly well-received battle, Natural Talent make their TCW return with a strong showing against former tag champions the Easy Riders. Despite showing clear improvement, Natural #2 is pinned following an Emergency Stop. (Rating: B)

Canadian Elemental takes on Fly Boy Jimmy P, dominating much of the match before putting P away with the Firebird Splash as modeled on Ultimate Phoenix. (Rating: C)

Marat Khoklov faced slightly more difficult opposition as Barry Kingman attempted to wrestle his way around his opponent's size advantage, but the handicap was too large to overcome. Khoklov hit an eight-foot-clearance flapjack before the pin. (Rating: B-)

Autumn Gleeson took time to have a word with Wolf Hawkins and Marc DuBois about their upcoming tag match at Total Mayhem against Tommy Cornell and a mystery partner. DuBois promised that he would be able to crack Cornell psychologically, and do the same to whoever the partner turns out to be. Wolf suggested that Tommy should just forfeit the match and let him have a clean shot at Bloodstone's title on the big stage.

Aaron Andrews defended his International Championship against Rocky Golden following last Saturday's complaint, winning out after Champagne Lover interfered, catching Golden with a low blow while the referee was unsighted. (Rating: B-)

Grabbing the microphone, Lover noted that he'd lasted longer against Andrews than Golden had managed and shown who the real man was, making reference to Wade's dismissal of Golden beforehand.

In the main event, Edd Stone faced trial by combat for his attack on Andrews on Tuesday, with Rick Law playing judge, jury and executioner. Law won only by DQ, however, after interference by Gorgon – including the truly stunning sight of Gorgon Hydra Bombing the massive Law. Edd promptly went into the most overblown celebrations seen in Puerto Rico since Billy Russell earned a shot at a GAMMA championship. (Rating: B)

The Express have started to pick up more and more wins, and they've always been dangerous contenders - you can count on this one to be a tough, close-fought battle. Matthew Keith was unavailable for comment.

More tag action follows that; Davis Wayne Newton and Frankie Perez team up once again against Mayhem Midden's hand-picked opposition, Canadian Elemental and Marc Speed of the Machines. Elemental and Speed both have everything to prove, but Frankie Perez' money is literally on the line here - this one could absolutely go either way. Will Generation Omega take it to the bank, or will TCW strike back?

Newton & Perez' stablemate Remo Richardson will be in action next, up against Danny Fonzarelli. Say what you like about Fonzie, but there's no denying that he will keep coming back - which makes him a dangerous proposition for anyone.

After his close-run defeat of one Young Gun recently, Jeremy Stone has offered a challenge to the other Gun. Can Harry Allen shock the world with a win over a former top champion?

The last two members of Generation Omega are also slated to compete, as Wolf Hawkins and Marc DuBois seek to prove a point in tag team competition against the New Wave, one of TCW's most decorated teams. The Wave have been in a slump lately and will certainly be looking for a landmark victory here to start a comeback tour.

Six-man tag competition follows that; the Rising Stars unite with Rocky Golden. Their opponents? Champagne Lover and Edd Stone, who've been teaming irregularly, and the Russian Giant, Marat Khoklov. A real test coming up for all six men... and after Edd's recent ambush of Andrews, it's likely that tensions will start out high.

And lastly, in the main event, Eric Tyler has challenged Tommy Cornell. TCW Tag Team Championship

Art Reed & Greg Keith © w/ Blonde Bombshell vs. Elite Express

Routine defence, Elite Express may have done just enough to earn a shot but they have no chance of winning the belts.

Canadian Elemental & Marc Speed vs. Davis Wayne Newton & Frankie Perez w/ Phil Vibert

Until Cam El actually starts winning some matches, I've got to back Vibert's boys. I see this from the perspective that this is the sort of match Gen-Om's lower rank should win.

Danny Fonzarelli vs. Remo Richardson w/ Phil Vibert

Zergon was spot on in his assessment of this match up.

Harry Allen vs. Jeremy Stone

Harry Allen may well put in the performance of is life here, or more likely Jeremy Stone will make him look good but at the end of the day there is only one way this is going.

Marc DuBois & Wolf Hawkins w/ Phil Vibert vs. The New Wave

DuBois & Hawkins being two of the top three in Gen-Om and with The New Wave being in a slump, this one should be a no brainer.

Champagne Lover, Edd Stone & Marat Khoklov vs. Rising Stars & Rocky Golden

Coinflip match of the night, as both sides seem pretty evenly matched with strengths and weaknesses on both sides but because Edd Stone is fast becoming one of the most enjoyable characters in this diary, I'll go with personal preference and back the master of Edd-Fu to lead his team to victory.

Eric Tyler w/ Laura Huggins vs. Tommy Cornell

Despite Cornell's current troubles, I see no benefit in putting old man Tyler over him.

No reason whatsoever for a change.

Canadian Elemental & Marc Speed vs. Davis Wayne Newton & Frankie Perez w/ Phil Vibert

Hard, hard match to call... but Marc only just debuted and he debuted with a lot of fanfare behind him. I don't think the third Machine loses that momentum QUITE yet.

Danny Fonzarelli vs. Remo Richardson w/ Phil Vibert

Ouch. Sorry Fonzie.

Harry Allen vs. Jeremy Stone

No way, no how, Harry.

Marc DuBois & Wolf Hawkins w/ Phil Vibert vs. The New Wave

A floundering New Wave aren't beating two of the company's top heels.

Champagne Lover, Edd Stone & Marat Khoklov vs. Rising Stars & Rocky Golden

Can't decide it, which means I'm going for the easy option and saying a draw.

Eric Tyler w/ Laura Huggins vs. Tommy Cornell

Cornell > Tyler.

While the new championship duo has been excellent of late, back in Canada the Express seem to wake up with the feeling of home ground under their feet. The result is an extremely competitive match – not quite on a par, competition-wise, with the British Lions' title challenge at the start of the month but certainly not far at all behind it.

The level of fan support for the Express in the Victoria Royal is simply astonishing, considering the lukewarm responses they've been garnering in America of late; the crowd seem to love them more now than when they left Canada for TCW, and the result is an astonishing level of investment from the crowd in the match.

The Precision Driller, however, is countered when Art Reed manages to twist clear of it into a DDT – then tags out fast to Greg Keith, who cleans house before locking Nate Johnson down into the Proton Lock to secure the victory.

Canadian Elemental & Marc Speed vs. Davis Wayne Newton & Frankie Perez w/ Phil Vibert

Probably the best description of this contest is 'perfectly even'. Speed and Newton put together a sequence of hold and reversal very reminiscent of the Newton/Bloodstone match from the previous month, while Perez and Elemental exemplify opposite approaches to wrestling, but the pace is fast whichever of them is in the ascendant at any given time.

The end comes, however, when Perez tries for the P-Clutch on Marc Speed, who rolls through, making the tag, and Canadian Elemental comes in fast; dropkick, rana, Elemental Suplex, and the pinfall.

“Hell, son,” Texas Pete's voice comes out over the intercom. “You want to come for my belt, Dave?”

He walks out and heads down toward ringside. “I'll give you you put up a good fight. Ain't no argument with that. And it ain't long since that's all I could claim.

“But you want to come for my belt, son, you need to win.”

“Don't. Call me. Dave.” Newton has found a microphone from somewhere, and his face looks like stone. Pete grins.

“Then win, son.”

“Don't call me son either.

“You want me to win? Sure, I'll win – when it matters. Put your belt on the line, and I''ll make sure to take it off you.

“Piss me off, and I'll break you or take you as near as you ever went.”

“That supposed to scare me?”

“No. I don't make threats. I just tell you how it's going to be.”

“Only if you earn it, Dave. Have a nice day.”

Danny Fonzarelli vs. Remo Richardson w/ Phil Vibert

As the bell rings, Fonzie stares up at his opponent and, to his credit, shows no fear. Remo steps forward and swings, and Fonzie ducks it, driving a knee into the Generation Omega man's gut. Immediately after that he torques Remo off his feet and goes straight for a Destroyer of his own – but Remo slips out, shoves Fonzie to the ropes, and smashes him over with a boot.

From that point on Remo has the advantage, shrugging off much of Fonzie's offence and, by and large, powering past the majority of the rest. He does favour Fonzie with the respect of a Destroyer rather than the Lumbar Puncture when it comes time to end things, however.

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/Remo.jpg

Rolling out of the ring, Remo grabs a microphone. “I'm here to make a name,” he says. “The biggest name in pro wrestling. The man who beat every legend.

“RDJ, you wanted to make this a TCW thing? Sure, I'll tear your legends apart – but you ain't all. I'll take on anyone.

“It don't matter to Remo how you made your name. Or where.

“Sam Keith – you, Remo, Total Mayhem. I got another name to cross off the list. I got a name to make.

Harry Allen vs. Jeremy Stone

Allen knows his partner put up a hell of a fight last time, won the crowd over to his side wonderfully, and it's clear as he comes down to the ring that he's pondering his situation, aiming to live up to Gumble's example, and equally clear he's not sure he can. In Canada, Stone seems even more confident, even more fired up, than before.

The pair circle then collide, locking up. Stone has the advantage; Allen promptly starts using his knees, driving them into Stone's midsection as a counter. He breaks free and the game plan is established; wrestle outside Stone's comfort zone.

It's not a bad plan at all, but it has one major problem; there isn't a great deal of room within the bounds of legal wrestling that isn't in Jeremy Stone's comfort zone. He may not be able to fly well himself, but years of experience with his brothers, Sean McFly and the Dark Angel mean he knows what's going on.

Harry hasn't got a great chance, therefore, and Stone does dominate this one. Harry is quickly set back to waiting for Stone to make a mistake, or at least, to move a few moments too slowly. He dodges a swing toward the end and goes for the Gunslinger's Revenge – but there's some debate about whether or not the swing was an attack or a feint, as Stone shifted his angle quickly to counter the Revenge into the Stone's Throw, shifting quickly to secure the pinfall.

And the camera goes backstage at that point to the interview area, where the New Wave are pacing up and down restlessly, dressed to compete, with Autumn Gleeson standing by.

“A good try there from a mostly tag team competitor,” Gleeson begins.”But that brings us to our next match. Boys, I don't need to tell the world how good you are, how many titles you've won, how long you've been carving out a reputation in the tag team world...

“We see signs in the arenas everywhere we go. BEST TAG TEAM IN THE WORLD EVER. But lately, you've been having some trouble – and tonight, you go up against two of the best singles wrestlers in the world.

“What are you planning?”

Guide shakes his head for a moment and steps back. Scout, stepping forward with hands on hips, says “We're going to make sure those two know they've been in a fight.” He pauses. “Look. We've heard the crap people are saying. You can dance around it all you like, but we know what they're saying. More importantly, we know how we feel about the way things are going.

“We're as good as we ever were. Whatever's gone wrong, it ain't that. Whatever it is, we're gonna fix it.”

The pair of them stalk off in unison.

“Tonight, they're up against Generation Omega,” Autumn wraps up. “Good luck, guys.”

Marc DuBois & Wolf Hawkins w/ Phil Vibert vs. New Wave

No question which side has the better teamwork here; the Wave remain one entity with two bodies in the ring, in perfect sync with one another, while the egotistical DuBois and the arrogant Hawkins are certainly not at anything like that level of mutual understanding.

They are, however, two very competitive wrestlers, and their rescues of their partner seem to stem from that more than from anything else, and so the contest is, for a while, somewhat balanced.

Then DuBois starts to play with his opponents; he whips Guide off the ropes for a dropkick, goes straight for the pin, and as Scout comes in to be safe he pulls Guide off the mat, breaking the pin himself with a smirk. “You wouldn't have been fast enough anyway,” he tells him. As Eugene Williams backs Scout off, DuBois, still looking Scout in the eyes, rakes the face of guide and makes for another pin.

That doesn't get it, but it does start to rattle the New Wave. And that starts to turn the tide; a demoralised Wave becomes easier pickings. A while later, with Hawkins the legal man, Guide eats a Full Moon Rising and DuBois blocks Scout while Hawkins grabs the pinfall.

Rising Stars & Rocky Golden

A real mix of talents in this ring, but an astonishing one nonetheless; all six men combine to produce an excellent match, very close in many places.

It's certainly the case that Khoklov could overpower any one man on the other side, but as the other three are not entirely stupid, he never really finds himself in the ring with only one man; this is something Ray Johnson might perhaps have clamped down on more thoroughly were it not for the fact that Edd is also more or less constantly in the ring, interfering in various ways and generally annoying Johnson.

At the end, though, it's Champagne Lover and Joey Minnesota; Lover nails the Lover Stunner and secures the pin, with Edd Stone springboarding across the ring to intercept Aaron Andrews with a dropkick.

The camera goes back to the interview position, with Autumn Gleeson once again on interview duty alongside, this time, Eric Tyler and Laura Huggins. As the camera cuts, we hear a comment toward Huggins Tyler presumably didn't want broadcast.

“...you ask me, your boyfriend can't cut it if he can't get back in the ring by now. Cut him loose.”

Gleeson clears her throat. “And we're live now, Eric,” she says. “So, you're back in the main event this week – and against multi-time World Heavyweight Champion Tommy Cornell. There are rumours you're aiming to step up for a shot against Johnny Bloodstone at Total Mayhem – presumably this would be a major step forward in that if you win tonight?”

“You know what,” Tyler begins, “I'm not even looking at this match like that. Yes, I want that biggest belt around my waist, yes, I know I've set the kind of example you expect from a champion, yes, I think the School of Tradition deserves that kind of respect. But that's not what tonight is about.

“Let's face it, beating Tommy Cornell is just something you want to do sometime in your career – and something not many people have the skill to do. It can mean so much to a wrestler, so much to a career, regardless of whether or not you're in title contention at the moment.

“But it's almost unfair that I have this match tonight. Cornell's got his head full of Generation Omega – and while we're on the subject of kids with no respect, those five are right near the top of the list, they should be in the School of Tradition so they can learn respect – and finding some dupe to help him at Total Mayhem.

“We've been able to see just how much all of this has got to him, how much it's tearing his head up inside, since he lost in February. Tonight, what should be a tough match... well, the winner's pretty much guaranteed, isn't it?”

Eric Tyler w/ Laura Huggins vs. Tommy Cornell

As it was always going to be, this is a hard, tough contest between one of the business' wiliest veterans and one of the business' greatest athletes. Tyler looks great in there, holding his own against Cornell, and he does seem to be trying to play on Cornell's insecurities – a standout moment being when he breaks a lockup, steps back, and mockingly howls like a wolf – but gradually, the younger man begins to overpower him, drive him backward, harry him...

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/Acid_alt2.jpg

That's when Acid hits the ring. He catches Cornell with a headscissors while Tyler distracts Eugene Williams, and begins to put the boots to him before climbing the top rope, looking for the Acid Rain Bomb...

Someone rolls into the ring and springs up to the top rope, catching Acid with a belly-to-belly fallaway suplex that leaves both men down and out.

http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/TCW/ShooterSeanDeeley.jpg

The camera finally gets a chance to see the newcomer's face – it's Sean Deeley! The BC crowd give him a very supportive reception, while Tommy Cornell recovers, nailing Eric Tyler with the Rough Ride. He gets the three count, then checks on Sean Deeley, who's still down and out after the fallaway impact.

And for the most part, I can't blame 'em. I don't condone those who are pure *******s, like a certain Big Smacker. But those who act in their own self-interest, within reason, are doing so usually because they understand a simple fact - you have to watch out for yourself because no one else will.

This is a business that chews people up and spits them out. It churns through talent, leaving so many men and women broken, used up, and never the same again. There is no pension plan and few happy endings. A lot of talent can't afford their own health insurance. Everytime you step into that ring, you are one botched move away from never being able to step into it again… or worse…

So no, I don't blame talent for wanting to make sure they get theirs. For trying to make sure they can support their family, today and tomorrow. For realizing that they may not have years and years and years in this business to make good money. What is often called selfish and self-serving in pro wrestling would be called prudent in another line of business.

My point? Not entirely sure I got one… except that there is a certain breed in this business. A rare breed. Those who realize the true nature of pro wrestling and yet choose to be selfless and giving regardless. These are not naive youngsters who just don't realize how things work yet. They are veterans who actually enjoy making other talent look good. The kind of people who realize that taking a little bit smaller contract than what their "worth" will help the promotion hire other new talent and benefit everyone in the long run. The kind of men and women who will give up their own free time to help the younger talent, passing along knowledge and understanding that could otherwise be lost.

Art Reed is such a guy, one of those rare breed. He's the kind of guy who makes any promotion better, not only by what he is willing to do in the ring but moreso what he is willing to do outside of it. He is a good man and a helluva wrestler who does everything he can to pass it along.

When I found that Horatio was having him work with my boys, I was happy. As I watch them work in the ring, I am appreciative. As I see the boys improve, I am thankful. The bond he is forming with Greg and Matty could last their entire careers, if not their lives. Not every veteran would so willingly play the babyface-in-peril to be saved by the rookie worker as Art does.

I have to admit that I've often fell more on the side of the selfish more than I have fallen in with that rare breed. Do I regret that? Not really - if I wasn't willing to play those political games, I never would've ended up with the book in Supreme. I doubt my career would have lasted this long. So no, I can't really regret what's already been done. But as I start to see the end of the road coming, I think about these things a bit more. It ain't never too late to give back. I started working with one of our younger guys here recently. Dean ain't exactly a rookie, but he's still got a lot to learn. He might never be more than a tag team guy, but him and Marv could become a great tag team. That kind of greatness may not carry the same glory as being a true superstar and a world champion, but greatness is greatness, what its form.

Now I just need to see if I have one more Proton Lock variation in the old trunk of tricks...

Troy Tornado vs. Walter Morgan w/ Laura Huggins

Morgan might be doing lot better now than say year ago, but singles win over Tornado is too much to ask.

Global Tradition w/ Laura Huggins vs. Natural Talent

Little bit of a coin flip until we know more about Natural Talent but the veteran team could use a win.

Elite Express vs. Rising Stars

I would love to pick Express here mainly because the win would do more to them and Rising Starts seems to be getting more of a singles push right now, but I doubt Andrews is going to drop a match here.

Raku Makuda vs. Suzanne Brazzle w/ Baroness Emily

I think that Makuda has done a little bit more so far.

Koshiro Ino w/ Baroness Emily vs. Tyson Baine

Man this is hard and I really like both guys, but I think that Baine needs the win slighly more and a loss would likely hurt Ino less than what it would hurt to Baine.

Art Reed & Greg Keith w/ Blonde Bombshell vs. New Wave vs. Stone Brothers (non-title)

Non-title so champs don´t need the win, New Wave is still in trouble but I´m not sure how unified the Stone Brother´s are after Syndicate broke down...In the end it´s Jeremy Stone that flips the scales on Stone Brothers favor (or maybe Gordon but the end result is same anyway).

Marc DuBois w/ Phil Vibert vs. Rick Law

I could see this one going either way so with face champ I take the usual heel wins and possible gets himself a title shot route.
