ALPHA-1: Global Dominance

Recommended Posts

Flashbulbs flicker like the fireflies above a Louisiana dock at dusk, and just like that dock overlooking a stagnant pool of soupy black liquid, there are things waiting for me in that vast room of black.

The media would likely not be very kind to me. A new president with no past experience, overtaking a well respected media darling rarely is rarely hailed, but what Ietsuna Hisamura and I, know is that if we continue with our current spending we won't be around to see the next decade.

I was able to convince Hisamura to give me the position after Nishamura released the Reality Boy. A rushed product, which was later removed from store shelves in most countries after causing partial paralysis in the eyes of 2% of the users of the system.

It was a business decision, hopefully one I can blunt, and spin at the podium.

"Mr. Avatar, 10 seconds till cameras are ready." cries the supervisor of Tokyo Broadcasting.

I take a deep breath ... wish me luck.

Camera quickly jerks to and fro, as the man of the minute takes centre stage.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, My Name is Scott Avatar. I've been appointed the president of ALPHA-1, after Mr. Nishimura stepped down do to family issues.

My goal is simple on paper.

Take the company that leads the world in No Hold's Barred fighting, from being the biggest and best provider of national NHB fighting, to the world's biggest provider of the sport.

This will not be simple, and as such I will need the guidance of the fan to make sure the fight cards I create are as appealing to you as I can humanly make them. There will be many changes to the way we operate this business.

In closing I have one thing to say... Watch out GAMMA. I'm coming for you!"

Crackdown February 1st:

Alex Emerson: Yo! I'm your host Alex Emerson here bringing you friday's addition of Crackdown.

Gavin Banks: Huge news on the site, Alex you see it?

AE: Ow yeah, ALPHA-1 signed a string of fighters I believe last night right?

GB: Well yes, but no. A new story has Scotty making a run at Kid.

AE: Wow.. so what are they doing with him if they land him i know Norberto was in the list he's a featherweight, could we see a whole Featherweight Division?

GB: Well I'll read it verbatim... Sources close to ALPHA-1 claim Scott Avatar is looking to claim XCC superstar Philip "Kid" Ziskie as well as an assortment of other featherweights.

The sources claim Avatar is planning to unveil the new division at "Unstoppable." The plan would be a real blow to XCC as they couldn't likely resist an ALPHA-1's contact bid. XCC and Ziskie's camp have no comment.

AE: Wow.

GB: BTW I called Scotty's assistant Stephanie, she said that the story was categorically untrue.

AE: Guess we'll find out.

- All the ladies in house say yea. Layla Holmes is our first Women's champ, winning a fight I knew was going to be a war, the way Trish handled Alyson stunned me, I thought the bigger fighter would use her striking to pepper her all fight, I think this card was a success, a ton of high quality fights.

- Go Yamamoto was ROBBED I say! I thought he won, 3, 5 and 6, easily could have been justified 6 as 10-8, and he deserved at least a split decision.

-Going to have to get to work to get the belt off somebodies waist, all 5 fighters have held on so far.

4-6 for you as well, you went out on a limb with Watanabe, but she's just not good enough to get through those better ground fighters, she's big and she can contend for a title shot in the future, but she's not good enough to ever hold it.
