PREVIEW

World Wrestling Entertainment returns with another hard hitting edition of Monday Night Raw. And things are certainly heating up as we get closer to Vengeance live on Pay Per View. And in this weeks Main Event "THE Problem" Tyson Tomko, who will be looking to send a message to his Vengeance opponent, Triple H, will take on "The Latino Warrior" Chavo Guerrero, who was inches away from becoming Number One Contender last week before being screwed by "The Idol" Aaron Stevens. Speaking of Stevens, the new Intercontinental Champion will make his first title defence when he takes on an opponent HAND PICKED by Mr. McMahon himself. And after last weeks Number One Contenders Match for the Woman's Title was ruined by an angered Victoria last week, General Manager Eric Bischoff has booked a Triple Threat Match between Victoria, Michelle McCool and Trish Stratus, with the victor earning a shot at Mickie James at Vengeance.

Also, Kane will be in action once again, looking to continue on his path of destruction as he hunts down The Big Show. Plus, Matt Striker and Charlie Haas will answer the challenge given to them last week by World Tag Team Champions The Brooklyn Soldiers. And rumours are frantic that THE UNDERTAKER will be in attendance to confront not only "The Rated R Superstar" Edge, but also his opponent for next week, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. With action like this, you would be a fool to miss this weeks edition of Monday Night Raw!

Chavo Guerrero vs. Tyson Tomko

-Chavo could've become a huge star around this time, and a win over Tomko is somewhat neccessary here.

WWE Intercontinental Championship:

Aaron Stevens © vs. ???

-I don't think Stevens will lose his belt here, but I do concede he may lose via DQ/Count Out.

Ric Flair vs. The Big Show

-Could go either way, but Big Show just feels right.

Kane vs. Lance Cade

-It won't be a squash, but Kane will dominate.

Number One Contendership for WWE Woman's Championship:

Michelle McCool vs. Trish Stratus vs. Victoria

-Almost a shot in the dark, but Trish is the cornerstone of the division.

Ross: 10,000 rabid fans have jam packed The L. Brown Athletic Centre as we welcome you to Monday Night Raw. I’m Good Ol’ JR Jim Ross, alongside my broadcast partner Jerry “The King” Lawler. And King, what an epic night we have in store.

Lawler: Epic doesn’t even begin to cover it, JR. Tonight, in anticipation of their Number One Contendership showdown next week, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels and “The Phenom” The Undertaker will confront each other right here tonight.

Ross: That will be one you won’t wanna miss. Also “The Big Red Monster” Kane will be in action, taking on Lance Cade, whose tag team partner actually HANDED IN his notice to WWE after the beating he took from Kane last week. And Ric Flair will also...

JR and King were rudely interrupted when “Metalingus” by Alter Bridge hit, and out through the curtain and into the arena stepped the WWE Champion “The Rated R Superstar” Edge, joined as always by the voluptuous Lita. Edge walked down to the ring, a smug look spread across his face. The crowd’s jeers rang out as Lita handed her man a microphone. It took a while for the crowd to die down before Edge could speak.

Edge: Well, after looking out into the crowd tonight, I’m surprised God hasn’t scorched the earth and started the human race from scratch. But in any event, you people are privileged to be in the presence of THE greatest WWE Champion in the history of this company; “The Rated R Superstar” Edge. Oh, and not forgetting the beautiful, voluptuous, smoking HOT Lita. And I can happily say that, after this past Friday Night on Smackdown, I don’t have to worry about Batista any longer. As far as him getting a shot at MY title goes, it’s dead in the water. Batista can join John Cena at the back of the line. But now I have two other “problems” to deal with. One is “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. And the other... the other being The Undertaker. Now I know, I know I should be worried. I should be fearful. I mean, Shawn Michaels is “The Showstopper”, “The Main Event”, he’s done it all, he’s faced them all and he’s BEATEN them all. And as for The Undertaker, well, his legacy speaks for itself. But do you know WHY I’m not afraid? You wanna know WHY I’m not worried? It’s because I’M “THE RATED R SUPERSTAR”, THAT’S WHY. You see, I’ve had some pretty big accomplishments in this company too. 2001 King of the Ring? Check. 5 time Intercontinental Champion? Check. Multi-time Tag Team Champion? Check. Oh, and current 2 TIME WWE Champion? You can check that too. Plus I have an advantage over both of them. Unlike Shawn, I don’t have to look over my shoulder, wondering whether I’m gonna get jumped by some masked moron who doesn’t seem to know whether he wants to help me or hurt me. And unlike The Undertaker, I’m in the prime of my career. And you Deadman, you are a shadow of what you used to be. You see, I have the advantage over the BOTH of you, so quite honestly I don’t give a crap which one of you I face at Vengeance. The fact of the matter is that I am the...

Edge was suddenly spooked when the lights began to flicker, and the rolling of thunder could be heard throughout the arena. Edge was visibly worried as he looked around him, the panic in his eyes evident as The Undertaker played his mind games with “The Rated R Superstar”. Suddenly, the arena was plunged into darkness, the crowd erupting. And the place reached a fever pitch when the lights returned, and stood in the centre of the ring was “The Deadman” himself; The Undertaker. Edge didn’t hang around, and he immediately bolted from the ring with his title belt. Unfortunately he forgot his partner in crime Lita, who was frozen to the spot as Undertaker looked coldly into her eyes. Edge finally returned and dragged Lita out of the ring before the two headed up the ramp. The two stood beneath the Titan Tron as Undertaker rolled his eyes back and made the cut throat signal. And if the fans were hot before, they went completely nuts when Edge turned to leave the stage and was struck with Sweet Chin Music by none other than “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. The fans were going insane as Michaels looked down at the WWE Champion before looking out into the ring, where The Undertaker watched on, the building almost shaking in anticipation for their face to face verbal confrontation later in the evening.

King: What a way to kick off Raw, JR.

Ross: Oh this is a night we will never ever forget, and we have only just started, King. We still have the face to face confrontation between these two men later on tonight, and not to mention John Cena returning to Monday Night Raw to address the world regarding his future here in the WWE. Don’t even think of going anywhere folks. Tonight is gonna be a slobber knocker guaranteed.

Number One Contenders Match for WWE Woman’s Championship:

http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/MichelleMcCool.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/versus2.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/TrishStratus.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/versus2.jpghttp://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/Victoria.jpg

Michelle McCool vs. Trish Stratus vs. Victoria

After last week’s Number One Contenders Match was violently interrupted by Victoria last week, it was decided that a Triple Threat was the only way to go to determine a worthy challenger for Mickie James’ Woman’s Championship. Victoria looked dangerous from the outset, the mind games played by Mickie over the past few weeks clearly motivating her. That’s not to say both Trish and McCool weren’t worthy adversaries, but with the mood Victoria was in, there was simply no stopping her. However, her hatred for Mickie got the better of her when James headed towards ringside. Victoria saw red and immediately headed after the champ, the two laying waste to each other. This left McCool and Stratus alone in the ring. And despite a valiant effort by McCool, Trish’s experience was the key to victory, and she put McCool away with a Stratusfaction, gaining the pinfall and earning herself a second chance at redemption when she faces Mickie for the title at Vengeance.

Winner and NEW Number One Contender: Trish Stratus

Trish was the victor, but the big story was outside the ring, where Mickie and Victoria were STILL battling away. That is until a Mick Kick dazed Victoria before she was thrown HEAD FIRST into the security barrier, a psychotic look in the eyes of the champ. Mickie then looked into the ring, where Trish was begging the champ to come and do the same to her. Mickie rushed back towards the ring before finally stopping. She looked at Trish for what seemed a lifetime before a twisted smile broke out across her face and she turned and walked away. That’s when Trish was dropped with an Inverted DDT by Michelle McCool, who was livid over her loss. The crowd’s jeers were loud as they showed their displeasure at what had just transpired.

Coachman: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time; he is none other than “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair. And Ric, you have been talking for the past few weeks about looking for someone to mentor, but tonight you have to put all your focus on your opponent tonight, The Big Show.

Flair: Coach, why do you sound so worried? Do I look worried? I’m The Nature Boy, Coach; 16 Time World Champion, Future Hall of Famer. And without question the greatest wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots. So tell me; why on earth would I be afraid of The Big Show. Is he big? Yeah, he’s big. Is he strong? You’re damn right he’s strong. But has he been up and down the road, seen the things that I’ve seem, done the things I’ve done and climbed the mountains that The Nature Boy has climbed? Not a chance! I got a spring in my step, I got a song in my heart, and if this is my last year in the business then you better believe I’m going out on a high. Big Show is as big and bad as they come, but Coach; he’s no Nature Boy. And that’s a fact. WOOOOO!

*****

The cameras head into the Locker Room, where Michelle McCool is practically throwing a fit, upset that she didn’t earn a shot at the Woman’s Championship earlier in the night. Intercontinental Champion Aaron Stevens looked almost bored as McCool whined and moaned, until he finally snapped.

Stevens: Michelle, do me a favour and please just shut up.

McCool: What? DID YOU SEE...

Stevens: Michelle, do you have any idea what is taking place tonight? I have my very first Intercontinental Championship title defence tonight against an opponent HAND PICKED by Mr. McMahon. This is my night to prove to all the doubters that I DESERVE to be a champion. I’ve been a part of this company for just over 3 months and already I have gold around my waist. Do you know what people are saying about me, baby? They’re saying I don’t deserve it. They’re saying it was handed to me. Well I got a chance to prove them ALL wrong. So I’m sorry if your trivial little problems don’t really interest me. Look, why don’t you just go back to the hotel? I’ll meet up with you later on.

McCool: But baby...

Stevens: Seriously, Michelle. I’m REALLY not in the mood for this. Just go.

McCool looked a defeated woman as she grabbed her bags and walked out the door, leaving Stevens to continue to prepare for his title defence later tonight.

Ross: “The Idol” looks extremely focused as he prepares for his mystery opponent later on tonight.

Kane vs. Lance Cade

After what Kane did to Cade and his tag team partner last week, it was unlikely that Cade would stand a better chance now that his partner had fled the company. And that was the case as Kane completely destroyed Cade from beginning to end, almost taking a perverse pleasure in torturing Cade. Lance could barely stand as Kane completely decimated him before dropping him with a Chokeslam. Kane made the cover and the official made the count...but Kane lifted Cade up at two. “The Big Red Monster” laughed hysterically as he lifted Lance to his feet and delivered a second Chokeslam, followed by a THIRD. The official pleaded with him to stop, but Kane put an exclamation mark on it by drilling Cade with a devastating Tombstone Piledriver before mercifully making the cover and gaining the victory.

Winner: Kane

Ross: That was difficult to watch, King. Kane has always been a sick, twisted individual. But it seems since he returned at The Great American Bash, his twisted side has come out in full force.

Lawler: When you have The Big Show running scared of you, you know you must be sick. And he’s not finished, JR.

Kane wasn’t finished as he exited the ring and looked underneath it, searching for what many thought would be a weapon of some sort. The crowd were stunned however when Kane pulled out a gas can, the crowd buzzing in anticipation as they wondered just what on earth he was going to do. Kane stared at it, laughing manically before entering the ring. Cade was still on the mat, and the official begged Kane to leave, but he received a boot to the face for his troubles. Kane then proceeded to douse Cade in the gasoline, completely covering him. And it looked like Kane was about to cross the line in a HUGE way when he produced a lighter. That’s when the locker room emptied and Road Agents, Officials and even a few Superstars rushed the ring to pull Cade out and to contain the monster. Kane simply laughed before rolling from the ring and heading through the crowd, his face a picture of insanity.

Coachman: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time; “The Latino Warrior” Chavo Guerrero. And Chavo, last week you were just inches away from pulling off the biggest victory of your career against Shawn Michaels....

Guerrero: You know what; I got it from here Coach. Tonight I face one of the biggest, baddest hombres I’ve seen; Tyson Tomko. And it’s gonna be tough, it’s gonna be brutal, but I guarantee that tonight I walk away with my hand raised high. But right now I want to address YOU, Aaron Stevens. Last week was my chance to finally break through and become the star that I always believed I could be, to get an opportunity to become WWE Champion and follow in my Uncle’s footsteps. And I took one of the best in the world, Shawn Michaels, to his absolute limit. And I was inches away from getting my shot at greatness. And then you destroyed it, Aaron. In a split second you DESTROYED it. You took my dreams and you burnt it to the ground. Well you know what they say Idol; paybacks a bitch. Stevens, I’m making the challenge right now; you and me, one on one at Vengeance. You don’t even have to put your precious title on the line. Just step into the ring with me one more time and let’s end this once and for all. I’m tired of the games, Stevens. If you are any kind of man, if you have any cojones then you will accept. Aaron, this ends one way or another. If you wanna do it the easy way, you WILL accept.

Ross: Strong words by Chavo Guerrero there King, and you have to wonder whether “The Idol” will be brave enough to accept the challenge.

King: I honestly don’t see why he would, JR. He’s got nothing to gain by facing Guerrero. I guess we will find out soon enough.

Ross: Well ladies and gentlemen don’t forget that later on tonight we will witness the return of JOHN CENA, who we haven’t seen since he lost his WWE Championship to Edge at The Great American Bash. John obviously has a lot on his mind, and we will get to hear from the former champ here tonight on Monday Night Raw.

*****

We head backstage, where the camera is zoomed in on the door of General Manager Eric Bischoff’s office. The camera slowly pans out. There is nothing of note taking place. That is until a mysterious figure comes into shot...

http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/ArmandoEstrada.jpg

The man looks around him before adjusting his jacket and calmly walking into the office, closing the door behind him.

*****

The familiar sound of ”A.W.K” by Andrew W.K hit the P.A system, and out stepped the brand new Intercontinental Champion “The Idol” Aaron Stevens, walking to the ring alone after sending his assistant/partner home. Stevens seemed concerned as he stepped through the ropes, clearly concerned over who his mystery opponent will be. Stevens grabbed a microphone from Lillian Garcia, the crowd’s jeers booming through the building.

Stevens: Well it doesn’t surprise me in the least that a bunch of inebriated, uneducated scumbags such as yourselves would give me such a terrible reception. Ladies and gentlemen, you are in the presence of the man who will single-handedly bring credibility to this championship. After the champions we have had holding this belt the past few months, it’s about time somebody bought a little class to this championship belt. I was given the opportunity last week by Mr. McMahon himself to become the greatest Intercontinental Champion in this or any other era. And I grabbed the opportunity with both hands. And do you know what I did? I proved every person who has ever said I don’t deserve to be where I am wrong and I became Intercontinental Champion. So Chavo Guerrero, what makes you think that I wouldn’t have the guts to step into the ring with a lowlife like you? I accept your little challenge, and I’ll see you at Vengeance. But tonight I have to concentrate on my opponent tonight. I did Mr. McMahon a favour last week, but that doesn’t mean I get preferential treatment. So Mr. McMahon has HAND PICKED my opponent tonight. So let’s not waste any more time. Come on out and have your five minutes of fame with “The Idol”.

The crowd fell silent as they awaited the arrival of Stevens opponent. The arena was quiet until familiar music hit, and out through the curtain stepped...Eugene. The crowd almost groaned their disapproval, knowing that McMahon had clearly given Stevens a simple opponent as reward for helping him the week prior. Stevens was in fits of laughter as Eugene stepped through the ropes. The official called for the bell, and the match was on.

Aaron Stevens © vs. Eugene

Despite getting a few shots in on “The Idol”, Stevens dominated this contest, giving Eugene no chance to mount a decent offence. Stevens wore down his opponent, almost taking pleasure in attacking a body part and causing his opponent pain. After several minutes of wearing Eugene down, Stevens looked to finish things off, lifting Eugene up for the Hollywood Star. But the match was immediately stopped when security tried to stop a fan from entering the ring. It was only on closer inspection that the fan was none other than CARLITO, who was looking for redemption for Stevens costing him his job the previous week. Carlito broke away from Security and took “The Idol” down, the match being thrown out thanks to the distraction.

Result: Match Stoppage

Carlito was laying into Stevens as the crowd exploded, actually pleased to see Carlito dishing out punishment to the Intercontinental Champion. Security finally dragged Carlito from the ring and escorted him to the back as the cameras quickly cut to commercial.

A video is played in the arena, as well as to the millions watching at home...

<iframe title="YouTube video player" width="300" height="255" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nGRbV0TXz-Y?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Ross: This still sends chills down my spine, King. The Hart Dynasty are coming to Monday Night Raw.

King: I’ve heard a lot of things about these kids, both good and bad, and it’s gonna be interesting to see the kind of impact they have here in the WWE.

*****

We return to Monday Night Raw, where World Tag Team Champions Elijah Burke and JTG, The Brooklyn Soldiers, are stood in the ring, Microphones in hand.

Burke: Charlie Haas, Matt Striker; last week we laid out the challenge to you. We gave you one week to accept our challenge at Vengeance; you pick the stipulation, any match you wish, and me and JTG will gladly put the gold on the line. Well boys, your time has run out. It’s time to make your decision. What’s it gonna be, boys?

The champs stood patiently, waiting for their answer. Several seconds passed, but neither Matt Striker nor Charlie Haas showed their face. JTG began to become impatient, and let his frustration be known.

JTG: Yo playboys, we got all the time in the world. Keep us waitin’ all you want, we ain’t goin’ nowhere till you get your punk asses out here and give us an answer.

The two waited for several more seconds, and it seemed that they would go without their answer. That is until Haas and Striker jumped the two, sneaking in from behind. The two put a beating on the champs, even taking hold of their belts and driving them into the skull of Burke and JTG. Striker then began to direct traffic, ordering Haas to the outside. Haas returned to the ring with a table, and the two placed Elijah Burke onto the wood. The two then lifted JTG up and delivered a Suplex, sending him crashing onto his partner and through the table, the crowd voicing their disapproval. Striker then grabbed a microphone from ringside.

Striker: Hey “Homies”, you can take that beating as a firm YES; we ACCEPT. And as for the stipulation, well I think you just got your answer; Brooklyn Soldiers versus Haas and Striker in a Tables Match. See you at Vengeance, boys.

Both Haas and Striker calmly left the ring, the crowd showering the two in jeers, JTG and Burke still out cold in the ring.

The camera’s get a shot backstage of Shawn Michaels pacing the corridors of the arena, preparing for his face off with The Undertaker later in the evening. But the crowd explode when Michaels bumps into a familiar face; “The Game” Triple H. The two former friends look at each other for long moments, their eyes locked on each other. The two think about it for long moments before finally embracing, the crowd going nuts as the two bury the hatchet and make amends.

Michaels: Alright, you can let go of me. I’m not your wife.

HHH: My wife doesn’t hold me like you do Shawn.

Michaels: I guess not. So, looks like you got yourself a little problem with Tomko.

HHH: Tomko? He’s not a problem, Shawn. You know me well enough by now. He’ll get what’s coming to him. I’m more worried about you.

Michaels: Me? What’s to worry about?

HHH: Come on, Shawn. As if it isn’t enough that you got some masked idiot running around beating you down. Now you got The Undertaker to worry about next week. You got a lot going on. You sure your heads in it?

Michaels: You saying I’m not up to it?

HHH: Shawn, I didn’t say that. I’m just saying you should just maybe take a step back and just think about what your next move is gonna be.

Michaels: You know, out of everyone here I thought I could count on you to believe in me. After everything we’ve been through, good or bad, I thought that surely you would believe in me. Thanks a lot.

HHH: Shawn....

Michaels: Save it. I’m gonna go out there, I’m gonna look The Undertaker dead in the eye and I’m gonna let the world know that I’m gonna do whatever it takes to get my shot at the WWE Championship. And I’m gonna prove everybody wrong...including you.

Michaels had heard enough and stormed off, leaving Hunter confused as to what was wrong with “The Heartbreak Kid”.

Ross: Well, whether he likes to admit it or not, this thing with the mystery masked man has clearly affected Michaels’ mental state. He really hasn’t been himself these past few weeks.

Lawler: I hate to say it but I agree. I just hope he can get his head back in the game before his match with The Undertaker next week.

Ric Flair vs. The Big Show

The Nature Boy was clearly the favourite amongst the fans in attendance, the crowd backing Flair the entire contest. And despite the clear size advantage, Flair was still able to hold his own against the giant, who clearly had other things on his mind. In fact Big Show was in serious trouble when Flair was close to locking in the Figure Four, but the legs of Big Show were too large, and he powered out of the move. Despite giving Big Show his all, the end came for Flair when he headed up top, a move that failed for him 99.9% of the time, and as he came off the top he was caught by the giant and drilled into the canvas with the Showstopper Chokeslam. Big Show made the cover and picked up the victory over the 16-Time World Champion.

Winner: The Big Show

The crowd showed their disapproval as Big Shows hand was raised in victory. The Big Show then looked down at Flair, a strange look in his eyes. That’s when he lifted Flair to his feet, looking to make a statement much like Kane had done previously in the night. Big Show grabbed Flair round the throat and lifted him off his feet, ready to deliver a vicious Chokeslam. But he was spooked when the fires of hell erupted from the ring post. Big Show immediately dropped Flair and fled through the crowd, not even waiting for the arrival of “The Big Red Monster”. Luckily for him, Kane never showed up. But the distraction did its job, scaring the life out of the giant.

*****

Coachman: I am joined at this time by “THE Problem” Tyson Tomko. And Tyson...

Tomko: Shut up, Coach. Hey Hunter, how’s your jaw after I planted my boot on it last week? That was just a small taste of what you can expect at Vengeance. Hunter, you wanna put the blame on me for everything that’s happened between us? No, I don’t think so. This happened because of your ego. You couldn’t stand the fact that I had aspirations of my own, that one day I wanted to be the Main Event. And you couldn’t stand to let somebody else into your spotlight. Well let me tell you something; I don’t take a backseat to anybody. Not to you, not to ANYBODY. Am I making myself clear? I’m not your Problem Solver any more, I’m THE Problem. I’m the future, you’re the past. And tonight, when I get that little punk Chavo Guerrero in the ring, I’m gonna make an example of him. I’m gonna give you a glimpse into your future, Hunter. And when you watch what I do to him, you’re gonna wish...

Tomko was cut off when he felt a fist slam into his face, and the crowd went nuts when they saw that it was Triple H, knocking Tomko to the ground and punishing him with lefts and right. A cut was opened above Tomko’s eye as Hunter continued to pound him to the floor. Officials finally rushed to the scene, separating the two as the crowd cheered their approval.

King: He’s gone off the rails, JR.

Ross: A small measure of retribution by The Game on Tyson Tomko. This rivalry has gotten so personal between these men. I’m not sure the ring will be able to contain them at Vengeance.

The camera panned around the arena, getting a shot of the rabid crowd in the building. And the place came alive when “My Time is Now” hit, and out through the curtain came the former WWE Champion John Cena, who was greeted with a mostly positive reaction. Despite losing his title several weeks ago, John looked surprisingly upbeat as he sprinted towards the ring, the fans on their feet as he posed for them. A large “Cena” chant broke out as John grabbed the microphone from ringside. John looked genuinely pleased with the reception as he began to address his people.

Cena: You know, it’s for moments like this that I do what I do, thank you. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks for me. A few weeks ago I lost my WWE Championship. And, as the stipulation states, I can’t have another title shot so long as Edge is the champion. It’s kinda hard for me to digest, and I apologise to you for not showing up last week. But you gotta understand my head was in a bad place. I was upset, I was angry and I didn’t feel I could come out here and give you the John Cena that you wanted. So I took a week to think about what’s next for me. And it got me thinking; what else is there left? My entire life is the WWE. My one goal is to be the WWE Champion and represent this company. And now with Edge as champion, that’s not going to happen. I could be angry with The Big Show for taking a pay off from Edge and attacking me. I could be angry at Kane for getting involved. But at the end of the day what happens to me in this ring is my own doing. I can only blame myself. So I need to pick myself up and dust myself off. So what’s my next step? Do I go after Kane? Do I gun for The Big Show? No, I don’t. I come for YOU, Edge. You see, I may not be able to get a title shot with you as champion, but I can do whatever I can to make sure that your WWE Title reign is a short one. I’m gonna make sure that the WWE Championship goes BACK around my waist where it belongs. Edge, I will stop at nothing to...

Cena was cut short when an unfamiliar voice boomed from the speaker system, saying the words “Perdon, escucha mi Señor Cena”. It was only when they stepped onto the entrance ramp that the fans saw that it was the mysterious man who had entered Eric Bischoff’s office earlier in the evening...

http://i915.photobucket.com/albums/ac355/jwforever316a/ArmandoEstrada.jpg

Cena looked confused, and the crowd had already turned on the man for interrupting Cena.

Cena: Do I know you?

Estrada: No John, you don’t know me. But I know you. Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Armando Estrada, founder of Estrada Enterprises.

Cena: Nice to meet you, Mr. Estrada. Now would you kindly take your ass to the back and NEVER interrupt me again.

Estrada: Oh, Mr. Cena. This was the kind of attitude I was expecting from a peasant such as yourself. John, I’ve been watching you for a long time. I’ve seen the way you operate. You’re a very proud man, Mr. Cena. You like things done your way, you like to please these inbred parasites in the crowd. But Señor Cena, where has that gotten you? You’re stood in the middle of that ring talking about how much you “Love” and “Adore” these people. But these people won’t bring you greatness. They won’t bring you fame. They won’t bring you money. And they won’t bring you the one thing you desire the most; the WWE Championship. But John, I CAN.

Cena: Oh, really? You can give me all of those things?

Estrada: ALL of them, Señor Cena.

Cena: Well no offence, but I don’t roll like that. I stand on my own two feet. Money can’t buy happiness. These people, they are the ones who keep me strong, who keep me going...

Estrada: John, I think it would be in your best interest to listen to my proposal. You see, I have just been talking to Mr. McMahon and Eric Bischoff. And we have all come to terms on an agreement that will change the landscape of Monday Night Raw, which we will announce in the coming weeks. And John, we want you to be a part of that change. So here’s what I’m going to do; I’m going to put my card in your locker room. And if you want to talk business, you just dial my number, day or night, and we’ll talk. John, you NEED to listen to my offer. Because if you don’t... well, it would be a very UNWISE career move. Armando Estrada, remember the name. Adios, Señor Cena.

The crowd let their feelings be heard as the jeers rang out, Estrada beaming with a winning smile towards Cena before heading to the back, Cena looking as confused as ever.

Lawler: What in the world just happened?

Ross: I’ll be damned if I know. This Armando Estrada just waltzed into Raw and said that the landscape here is going to change. But what does he mean by that?

Chavo Guerrero vs. Tyson Tomko

The crowd were pretty hot for this Main Event as they got to witness two men who were looking to break into the title picture go toe to toe. Both men are the future of the company, and they clearly both had a point to prove. However after the attack earlier by Triple H, Tomko was already on the ropes. But he still managed to stay focused and he put on a great display against “The Latino Warrior”. A huge Military Press into a Samoan Drop was almost enough to keep Guerrero down, but as always he showed heart and managed to kick out at two. Tomko was on top of Guerrero for the majority, his obvious size advantage playing in his favour. But he made a mistake when he went for his dreaded Big Boot, but Chavo ducked and Tomko caught his leg up in the ropes. Chavo then rolled Tomko up quickly, gaining an INCREDIBLY close two count. The match went back and forth for several minutes until Chavo was able to deliver an impressive Missile Dropkick from the top before heading back up and looking to hit the Frog Splash. But Tomko was on his feet as Chavo came off, and he surely knocked Guerrero out with the Big Boot. Tomko made the cover...but Guerrero got his foot on the rope. Tomko was frustrated, and it cost him as Chavo was able to fight his way back into the match before nailing a Tornado DDT, followed by a Frog Splash. Chavo attempted the cover one more time, this time getting it and picking up a much deserved victory over “THE Problem”.

Winner: Chavo Guerrero

Ross: What a match we just witnessed, and Chavo Guerrero may have put his name in the hat as one of the men who could be next in line for a shot at Edge’s WWE Championship.

Lawler: I don’t doubt that for a second, but you do have to wonder if the result would have been different if Tomko had been 100% for this match.

Ross: Well either way, Guerrero showed true heart here tonight, and it really is only a matter of time before he gets a real chance to shine here on Monday Night Raw. Well ladies and gentlemen, don’t go anywhere because coming up next I will be in the middle of the ring to host the Face Off between two legends in this sport as they prepare to do battle LIVE next week on Raw. Tonight I host the confrontation between “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels and “The Phenom” The Undertaker. It’s live, and it’s NEXT.

*****

We return from commercial, where Good Ol’ JR Jim Ross is stood inside the ring to conduct his “Interview” with the both Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.

Ross: Ladies and gentlemen, in less than three weeks we will witness “The Rated R Superstar” Edge defend his newly won WWE Championship at Vengeance. And next week we will find out who he will face when the two longest serving members of the WWE Roster square off to determine the Number One Contender. So at this time I would like to introduce the two men who will face off next week for a chance to face the WWE Champion at Vengeance. First off, please welcome “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels.[/B]

The crowd came unglued when “Sexy Boy” hit the speakers and “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels made his was down to the ring. Michaels was slapping hands with the crowd as he made his way to the ring, but his face seemed to suggest that he was totally focused on what was about to take place inside the ring. JR had to wait several seconds for the “HBK” chants to die down before he could continue.

Ross: And now please let me welcome the man who will face Shawn Michaels next week for a shot at Edge’s WWE Championship. He is “The Phenom” THE UNDERTAKER.

Once again, the crowd went stir crazy as the infamous gong was heard around the arena and the lights dropped. And out, through the smoke, came “The Deadman” The Undertaker, slowly marching towards the ring. Michaels never took his eyes off of him as he made his way to ringside, finally stepping through the ropes. Michaels immediately went nose to nose with “The Deadman”, the arena almost shaking from the noise that was emanating from the crowd.

Ross: Now gentlemen, in just one week, the two of you will face off to determine who will head to Vengeance to face the WWE Champion Edge. So I would just ask that you keep this civil if you could. Now Shawn, I would like to start with you. It seems you have had your hands full recently with Mr. McMahon, as well as this mystery masked assailant who has been appearing over the past month. How are you going to be able to stay focused as you take on “The Phenom” in just one week’s time?

Michaels: You’re right, JR. There have been a lot of obstacles I’ve had to fight the past couple of months. From the Shelton Benjamin’s to the Carlito’s to the Mr. McMahons and now having to watch my back in case some guy under a mask decides to jump me. I’ve had the odds stack against me. But next week, those obstacles will be the furthest thing from my mind. It’s been over 8 years since I was WWE Champion. That night, Wrestlemania 14 when Stone Cold Steve Austin pinned my shoulders to the mat, I guessed that I was done, there would be no more second chances. But next week, I get the opportunity to prove myself and to prove everybody else wrong when I face you, Undertaker. And I want you to look in my eyes when I tell you this, Deadman. I have nothing but respect for you, Undertaker. Me and you have been around the block more times than anybody else in this company. And as much respect as I have for you, there are just a few things you need to remember. The first thing you need to remember is that The Heartbreak Kid NEVER forgets. Royal Rumble 1998; Casket match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. You took four years of my career from me. You put me on the shelf for FOUR years. I forgive, I don’t forget. And the second thing you need to realise is this; in all the times you have stepped into the ring with me one on one, you have never EVER defeated “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. And next week I PROMISE will be no exception. There’s a lot of unfinished business, Deadman. And next week we put it to rest once and for all.

Ross: Now Undertaker, after finally putting an end to your heated rivalry against John Bradshaw Layfield over on Smackdown, it seems that there are no distractions and you should be fully focused on your match next week. After over 8 years, what are your thoughts on facing Shawn once again?

The crowd awaited Undertakers answer, but “The Deadman” just stood, staring a hole through “The Heartbreak Kid”. Ross asked once again if he had any comments, and again The Undertaker ignored him, continuing to fix his gaze on Michaels. JR looked around nervously before continuing.

Ross: I guess we’ll move on. Shawn, at Vengeance either you or The Undertaker will face Edge for the title. What are your thoughts on him both personally and professionally, and is there a message you would like to send to the champion at this point in time?

Michaels: I’m not gonna lie to you, JR; I like him. I really do. He kinda reminds me of a young kid I knew back in the day they called “The Heartbreak Kid”. Inside this ring, he is one of the best in the business. He hasn’t even reached his peak yet and already he is proving to the world he DESERVES to be WWE Champion. So professionally, I respect the guy. Personally, well personally I think somebody needs to knock him off his pedestal. In fact, he reminds me of a young kid I knew back in the day they called “The Heartbreak Kid”. Somebody who had all the ability in the world inside the ring, and all the c0ckiness and bad attitude that would bring him crashing down to earth outside of it. I learnt from my mistakes, I realised what kind of person I was, and I made changes. Edge needs to realise that he needs to make changes too. And if I have to be the one to show him the light, then so be it.

Ross: Undertaker, same question to you. Do you have any words concerning the WWE Champion Edge?

The crowd once again awaited The Undertakers answer, and yet again he ignored JR, his eyes never leaving the eyes of Shawn Michaels. But as the stare down continued, things took a turn when, from out of nowhere, the mystery masked man came through the crowd, jumping the security barrier and sliding into the ring before spinning Michaels around and nailing him with Sweet Chin Music. The crowds jeers were almost deafening as he looked down at Michaels. He then looked up to find The Undertaker now staring a hole through him, and he immediately retreated back through the crowd. JR had since exited the ring to relative safety, and the move proved to be wise, as whilst The Deadman was looking down at Michaels, “The Rated R Superstar” entered the ring and slammed a steel chair into the spine of The Undertaker, sending him down to one knee. When he returned to his feet, Edge immediately took him down once again with a rib crushing Spear, taking him out. The crowds boos rang out loudly as Edge looked over The Undertaker. That’s when he noticed Shawn Michaels struggling to his feet. In retribution for what transpired earlier, Edge laid in wait as Michaels got to a vertical base before dropping him with a Spear.

Lawler: Can you believe it? The WWE Champion Edge has just taken out both Shawn Michaels AND The Undertaker. If that isn’t making a statement, I don’t know what is.

The show faded to black with the image of “The Rated R Superstar” Edge standing tall above Undertaker and Michaels, his WWE Championship hoisted high in the air as the jeers echoed throughout the building.

UPDATE ON CARLITO

As was seen this past Monday Night, Carlito has NOT been fired from the company, as he was seen interrupting Aaron Stevens' title match against Eugene. The plan as of now is to have Carlito play a similar role that Matt Hardy played in his feud with Edge, which will result in Carlito being rehired somehow and feuding with Stevens and possibly even McMahon himself in the future. It is thought that many in the company are slightly upset that Carlito will be getting a somewhat large push considering the upset he causes backstage.

KANE SEGMENT CAUSES COMPLAINTS

The segment involving Kane apparently attempting to set Lance Cade alight this past Monday Night on Raw sparked a flurry of complaints to the WWE Corporate website this week, deeming the segment inappropriate. Some within the company feel the same, but McMahon is said to be fully behind the decision as he looks to rebuild the Kane character. Glenn Jacobs (Kane) is also said to be fully behind the decision. It has been rumoured that Kane may only have a few years left as an active member of the roster, and he is looking to have one last run at the top before calling it quits.

BIG PLANS FOR ARMANDO ESTRADA

There are whispers around the offices of the WWE that there are big plans in store for newcomer Armando Estrada. However, management are said to be keeping things firmly under wraps. Many rumours have been thrown around, including a possible Cena heel turn, the début of a new Superstar or even having him replace Eric Bischoff as Raw's General Manager. Whatever the case, McMahon and Co. are staying tight lipped on the role Estrada will play. We will keep you updated on this story if or when news filters in.

PREVIEW

For the first time in over FIVE YEARS, Extreme Championship Wrestling returns to South Philadelphia, to the corner of South Swanson Street and West Ritner Street, and to the infamous ECW Arena for a night that will surely go down in history. And last week Paul Heyman made it official that the Main Event for the evening will see ECW World Champion Rob Van Dam defend his title against "The Man Beast" Rhino and "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin in a Three Way Dance. All three men have literally been at each others throats the past couple of weeks, and this Thursday Night one man will walk away with the gold. But Who?

Also, the First Round in the ECW Television Title Tournament draws to a close when Gregory Helms, who has had his troubles of late with The Sandman, takes on Mikey Whipwreck. And speaking of Sandman, "The Hardcore Icon" will face Sabu in the second tournament match, and Sabu will be in a foul mood after his loss to Shelton Benjamin last week, and he is sure to be looking to find some kind of direction in his career after that loss. Plus, The Bashams put out an open challenge to ANY Tag Team in the world to face them last week. Will the challenge be accepted? And Steve Corino will team with his hired hitman Luther to take on two men who have been a constant thorn in his side since the rebirth of ECW, Jerry Lynn and Masato Tanaka.

Also, Raven has vowed to be in the ECW Arena, as has Kurt Angle. Will the two finally come face to face, or will Raven continue to play mind games with the Olympic Gold Medallist? Also, Mick Foley promised Tommy Dreamer last week that he has started a war, and he would be coming for Dreamer with some "back up". Will Foley shed any more light onto this? With all this and more, it would be madness to miss a single second of this weeks edition of ECW on F/X!
