(Shortened Write Ups this week, as I am conversing my energy for Wrestlemania 26)

WWE Monday Night RAW 3/22/10

The show opens up with the Rock talking about his match with Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 26. After several minutes of the Rock talking with the crowd, Cody Rhodes comes out to interrupt the Rock. The Rock dresses down Cody, calling him Orton’s girlfriend and Cody says that the Rock retired before he even got into wrestling, so Cody is not scared of him. Cody slaps the Rock right across the face, which causes the Rock to begin laying the Smackdown on Cody Rhodes, until Ted DiBiase ran in to attack the Rock from behind. Orton joins them, as Orton prepares to give the Rock a punting but is saved by the trio of Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, and the ECW Champion Shelton Benjamin, three men who have had their problems with Legacy in recent weeks. Some back and forth leads to a six man tag being made tonight with Kofi, Truth, and Shelton against Legacy.

Mark Henry and MVP d. Carlito and the Miz when Henry pinned Carlito with the World’s Strongest Slam in 4:42 The Miz seemed disgusted that he had to team with Carlito and pretty much walked out, allowing MVP and Henry to double team Carlito, before Henry squashes him with the World’s Strongest Slam for the pin. (C+)

The Miz returns to the ring as Henry leaves and cheapshots MVP from behind with the United States Title Belt. The crowd boos, as Miz continues to beat on MVP until Henry chases him off but the damage has been done. The Miz says that he’ll keep the belt at Wrestlemania 26 because he’s the Miz and he’s awesome!

Gail Kim defeated Melina and Beth Phoenix when Gail Kim pinned Beth after reversing a power bomb into a sunset flip in 7:02 These three women will be part of that Undisputed Women’s Title Match, challenging Michelle McCool, who was on commentary, mocking her three opponents for this Sunday. Beth jaws with Michelle, which allows Gail Kim to slip in and sunset flip Beth for the pin. Melina was unable to break up the pin, having been hitting with a power bomb seconds earlier. (C+)

Beth Phoenix leaves the ring and grabs Michelle McCool but a ring attendant sprays something in the eyes of Beth Phoenix! Beth staggers back blinded, as the ring attendant is revealed to be Maryse. Beth Phoenix staggered around ringside, as Michelle jeers her from the table, with Beth Phoenix pummeling a camera man, thinking that he’s Michelle, in her blinded state. Once again, Maryse casts a disdainful look at Michelle and her two belts.

Paul Burchill d. Shawn Michaels with the Twisted Sister in 10:01 This was a brutal match. Michaels seemed to be looking past Burchill just a little bit towards Wrestlemania and the Ripper made him pay with that. Michaels returned fire, when he saw that Burchill was no cake walk but a head first trip into the ring steps was the beginning of the end. Michaels kipped up later but nearly gets decapitated with a huge lariat and Burchill gives him the Curb Stomp, before hitting the Twisted Sister for the pin. (B+)

Burchill, headbutts Michaels and hits a vicious kneelift, before tossing him over the top rope. Getting on the microphone, Burchill says last week he beat Kofi Kingston and this week he beat Shawn Michaels, a man who is all but guaranteed a spot in the Hall of Fame in the future. Burchill demands respect and out comes Mr. McMahon, who says that he likes Burchill, he doesn’t wait for things to be handed to him, he seizes them by the throat. McMahon says that Burchill will be added to the number one contenders match for the WWE Championship Match at Wrestlemania 26 involving Kofi Kingston and Shawn Michaels, to make it a Triple Threat Match. The winner of course receives a shot next week on RAW. Burchill promises the destruction of Michaels and Kingston and next Monday, the entire world will watch in horror as the Ripper will be the brand new WWE Champion. Burchill adds that he hopes it is the Rock, because after Burchill is done with the Rock, the only work he’ll be able to get in Hollywood is in horror movies.

A video package showcasing Stu Hart, who will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2010.

Ominous chanting erupts over the arena and the fans are on their feet, awaiting what is going on. Druids carry a casket out but “No Chance In Hell” fires up and out comes Vince McMahon. McMahon enters the ring, a somber expression on his face but somehow, there is some underlying evil within it. McMahon talks about the streak of the Undertaker, from Jimmy Snuka to Shawn Michaels, seventeen impressive victories but all good things have to come to an end. Mr. McMahon calls out Drew McIntrye, who makes his way to the ring to a round of boos. McIntyre enters the ring as Mr. McMahon hypes him up as the future of the company, the future of wrestling, and the man who will end the undefeated streak at Wrestlemania 26, handpicked by Vince McMahon to do so. Mr. McMahon states that contrary to popular belief, he is a big fan of the streak but when it’s time to end, it’s time to end. He says that the Undertaker’s time is winding to a close and Drew McIntyre will reign supreme.

The lights go out but there is no one there. McMahon orders McIntyre to check the casket and he does, but there is no one inside. The Undertaker rolls from underneath the ring and grabs Vince McMahon by the throat, choking him. McIntyre returns to the ring and the Undertaker engages him in battle. Mr. McMahon waves from the back. Mike Knox is out, as is Charlie Haas. The Undertaker fights them off and Jack Swagger, Vance Archer, and Tyler Reks. Mr. McMahon obviously has back up but when Sheamus enters the ring, the numbers are too much for the Undertaker. The Undertaker is getting pummeled, as McIntyre leaves the ring to grab a steel chair as Knox and Sheamus hold the Undertaker. The chair is bashed over the top of the head of the Undertaker. Out comes Bret Hart from the back to save with a baseball bat, but Archer grabs it as he enters the ring and Archer and Haas hold Bret, as Vince yells that ever since Montreal, he said Bret Screwed Bret, but Vince said that’s a lie. He’s screwed Bret Hart just like he’s going to screw the Undertaker this Sunday and there’s nothing Bret can do about it. Bret tries to fight back, but Vince spits in his face. The boss says that he should punch Bret right in the face right now, but he’s not a cheap shot artist like Bret was. He is going to walk up to him at Wrestlemania 26 and punch Bret right in the face. Vince grabs Bret’s jaw in the palm of his hand and yells that the Undertaker’s streak will end one way or another this Sunday. Bret Hart is dropped down in the ring, as Vince McMahon and his goon squad leaves the ring. The Undertaker has been wiped out as well.

The Big Show pinned Booker T with the knock out punch in 7:22 Two of the eight men in the Money in the Bank Match. Booker T gave it a pretty god go against the Big Show, managing to take him off of his feet once. The spinaroonie and Booker T popped up right into that huge punch from the Big Show, taking him down for the pin. (B)

Hype is made for Money in the Bank with Big Show, Booker T, Bryan Danielson, Evan Bourne, Matt Hardy, R-Truth, Ted DiBiase, and Zack Ryder doing battle for that all important title shot that is good for the next calendar year from Wrestlemania 26 to Wrestlemania 27.

CM Punk makes his way out, to talk about his match with Triple H this Sunday. Punk says that Triple H is a fool for wanting this match to be a No Disqualification Match, as it will just make his destruction, before salvation all that much painful. Punk says that Stephanie is safely in the care of Punk and will remain so. He adds that Triple H has polluted her so much that Punk had to take a hands on influence. Immediately, Triple H rushes out, beating up security who is holding him back. Triple H enters the ring and drills Punk with a forearm smash, nailing him with a series of shots to the side of the head. Triple H chokes Punk in the corner, demanding to know the whereabouts of his wife. In comes security. Triple H turns and beats them down, but Punk attacks Triple H from behind, delivering a dropkick to the back of the head. Punk beats on Triple H and hoists him up. Pedigree brings Triple H down! Punk just wiped out Triple H with his own move. Punk slides underneath the ring and pulls out the sledgehammer. Punk enters the ring and teases hitting Triple H with it, but says that he’ll save it until Wrestlemania 26. Triple H has been wiped out by Punk tonight. At Wrestlemania 26, Punk might be a dead man.

We cut to John Cena and Batista, who are on split screen, going face to face(from a distance), talking about their match at Wrestlemania 26. Batista says that Cena brought this onto himself and if Cena had not tossed Batista out in the Rumble, Batista would be worrying about winning the World Heavyweight Title and Cena might be safely challenging for the WWE Championship. Now, Cena has to worry about the end of his career. Cena fires back saying that as long as there is one breath in his body, he won’t stop fighting and he’ll throw everything at Batista. Batista taunts Cena, talking about how the last time he fought Cena, Cena was put on the shelf for three months. Cena can’t win and this time, Batista will put on the shelf. Cena yells that Batista better be ready to go to war and Batista calmly states that he is and Cena better be ready to be a causality of war.

Kofi Kingston, Shelton Benjamin, and R-Truth defeated Legacy in 12:02 when Kofi Kingston pinned Randy Orton with the Rock Bottom. The Rock joined us on commentary, as Shelton ran wild on the early going but R-Truth got cut off and beaten down three on one by Legacy. The Rock informs us that he’s not going into Wrestlemania 26 to lose and he’s going to walk out as the WWE Champion and plans on defending that belt next Monday. As for after them, the Rock will worry about that when the time comes. Tag made to Kofi Kingston, who runs wild. He misses the Trouble in Paradise on Orton, who has that move well scouted and DDT plants Kofi! Orton sets up the punt, taunting the Rock. The Rock says that Orton better keep his eye on the ball and Kofi bounces up to his feet. Orton turns around but there is no one there to punt. Kofi grabs Orton and hits him with the Rock Bottom! Orton has been planted and Kofi scores the pin! Kofi has used the Rock’s move on Orton for the pin (B)

Hype for Mania, with the Rock facing off against Randy Orton for the WWE Championship. Orton gets up, as the Rock celebrates with the winners in the aisle. The Rock eyeballs the WWE Championship Belt and Orton yells that belt is his and it will remain his after Sunday. We fade to black with Orton glaring a hole through the Rock from the ring.

The Ruthless Roundtable defeated Shelton Benjamin, Matt Hardy, and Bryan Danielson when Ezekiel Jackson pinned Hardy with a Uranage Slam in 12:22. A brutal six man tag team match. Shelton got some high impact moves at the beginning but most of this match was Danielson being triple teamed by the Roundtable. Hot tag to Matt Hardy who runs wild but Jackson quickly wipes him out for the pin. (B-)

After the match, Regal and his two henchmen corner Shelton in the corner, but Shelton manages to dropkick Vladimir Koslov and leapfrog over Ezekiel Jackson, before he bolts to the floor. WWE Smackdown 3/26/10

Chris Jericho cuts a promo, vowing victory at Wrestlemania 26, and also tonight against ECW Champion Shelton Benjamin in the champion versus champion, non title match. Jericho states all of his accomplishments and says that he’s the best at the world at what he does. He says that Morrison is a gifted athlete but while Morrison got into the company by winning Tough Enough, Jericho paid his dues by training in the Hart Dungeon, which was far more rigorous than “winning any game show.” Jericho vows to prove his strength at Wrestlemania 26 when he faces off against John Morrison.

Finlay defeated Sheamus in a Tables Match in 8:55. A brutal brawl between the two tough as nails Irishmen who seemed rather determined to leave their mark in a match that just missed the Wrestlemania card. Finlay and Sheamus hit each other with stiff strikes and suplexes. In the end, Sheamus brought out a table but Finlay waffles Sheamus with the Shillelagh, before hitting a vicious brain buster off of the ring apron through the table to be declared the victor. (B-)

A look at CM Punk and Triple H and all of the history behind their match leading up to Wrestlemania 26.

Both men were at the top of their game as both will challenge for championship gold at Wrestlemania 26, Regal for the ECW Championship against Shelton Benjamin in a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match and Morrison in the main event for the World Heavyweight Title against Chris Jericho. Morrison managed to whether the storm and finish off Regal with the Starship Pain for the pin. (B)

A look at the events leading up to Drew McIntyre with Vince McMahon in his corner against the Undertaker with Bret Hart in his corner.
