Cade and Regal are taken out but the Miz goes low, before using the ropes to steal yet another victory over Matt Hardy. WWE Smackdown 6/5/10

Bret Hart announces tonight’s main event, with Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, CM Punk, and Batista facing off in a fatal four way match, where the winner advances to the Fatal Four Way World Heavyweight Title Match alongside WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian, the winner of Morrison and DiBiase for the World Heavyweight Title, and a fourth man to be determined, although Bret states that if DiBiase loses the belt tonight, he will get that fourth slot as his return shot.

Christian pinned Dolph Ziggler to retain the WWE Intercontinental Title with the Killswitch in 8:55 Ziggler was intent to regain the belt that he was never pinned for and he really took it to Christian, but Christian fought out. Several nearfalls from both men, before Christian hit the Killswitch for the pin on Ziggler. ©

Vince McMahon is standing backstage, eye twitching as CM Punk talks up the Straight Edge lifestyle. Swagger walks in, agreeing with Punk and saying that he managed to get where he is with hard training. Swagger says it is doing wonders for the boss and Swagger suggests an opportunity for himself to really establish himself. McMahon yells “KANE, KANE, DAMNIT, KANE!” to Swagger and Punk seems to understand that McMahon wants Swagger to face Kane. Swagger seems less confident but he walks off, as Punk talks about how the conditioning is working and within weeks, Vince will be a new man. Vince twitches his fingers, almost imagining what they would be like grasped firmly around Punk’s throat.

Mickie James and Kelly Kelly defeated Natalya and the WWE Undisputed Women’s Champion Mia Mancini(w/Maryse) when Mickie pinned Natalya with the DDT in 6:40 Maryse mocked the two face women, as Kelly was beaten for most of the match, until Mickie made the hot tag and ran wild. The fans are cheering as Mickie knocks Mancini to the floor, before hitting a DDT on Natalya for the pin. (C-)

Mancini goes nose to nose with Mickie after the match, as Mickie invites her to get some but Mancini is ushered out by Maryse. Mickie James has her sights set on the WWE Undisputed Women’s Title of Mia Mancini and with a win tonight, she certainly put the champion on notice.

Evan Bourne is backstage, when CM Punk walks up to him and talks about how he has been impressed with Bourne as of late. Punk offers to take Bourne under his wing and teach him the values of Straight Edge, to catapult him to greater heights. Bourne denies Punk’s offer, saying that he doesn’t need Punk’s false ideals and says that Punk just wants someone that he can push around. Punk yells that Bourne will be sorry and that he will accept Punk as his savior by force.

Jack Swagger defeated Kane via countout after Mike Knox interfered in 4:02 Swagger played hit and run on Kane, as Kane had taped up fingers from when Knox broke then last week on this program. Swagger was sent to the floor and Kane beats him down, but Swagger distracts the referee, allowing Mike Knox to attack Kane from behind with the Bicycle Kick. Swagger beats the count and wins the match. ©

Knox now is beating Kane and Swagger joins the beating but the lights go out and when they come back on, the Undertaker is in the ring! The fans are cheering, as the Undertaker sends Knox and Swagger packing, before he checks on his brother in the center of the ring.

Chris Jericho cuts a promo prior to the next match, talking about how Bourne’s fifteen minutes are almost up. Jericho gives Bourne credit, calling him a great athlete but Jericho is the best in the world at what he does.

Chris Jericho pinned Evan Bourne with the Code Breaker in 12:12 A nice little match, with Bourne and Jericho exchanging high impact moves, that gain several nearfalls. CM Punk comes out, distracting Bourne, but Bourne manages to reverse the Walls into a Cradle for a nearfall and faceplants Jericho. To the top rope but Punk grabs Bourne’s ankle. Bourne shoves Punk off and leaps off the top rope with a backspring cross body block to Punk on the floor. Entering the ring, Bourne walks right into the Code Breaker which gets the pin. (B)

Mike Knox pins Andrew Ryker with the Bicycle Kick in 0:23 This was a brutal beating by Knox, pinning the young man in less than thirty seconds to win this squash match. (D)

A video package from Over the Limit, with the destruction of John Morrison and Ted DiBiase taking advantage of the Money in the Bank cash in.

World Heavyweight Champion Ted DiBiase defeated John Morrison via countout when Morrison missed a moonsault off the apron on the floor in 8:55 Morrison seemed to throw everything at DiBiase tonight, gaining several close nearfalls, with the champion playing a purely defensive game. Morrison missed a moonsault off the ring apron and cracked his skull right on the floor. This netted a countout loss for Morrison and DiBiase keeps the championship through dubious means. (B)

Batista defeated Rey Mysterio, The Undertaker, and CM Punk to advance to Fatal Four Way when Batista pinned Punk after Evan Bourne interfered in 14:22 This was a wild match, with four men looking to lock in a title shot at Fatal Four Way. Rey and Undertaker were taken out, leaving Batista and Punk. Punk worked over the leg, but Evan Bourne came out. Punk went after Bourne and this was costly, as Punk was kicked in the face, allowing Batista to hit a spear for the pin on Punk to advance to Fatal Four Way. Now it will be Ted DiBiase, Christian, Batista, and a fourth man to be chosen going for the World Heavyweight Title at Fatal Four Way. (B-)

WWE Monday Night RAW 6/7/10

It is announced that there will be an eight man single elimination tournament tonight on this three hour RAW to determine a brand new United States Champion. The belt was claimed by Paul Burchill but the WWE Board of Directors have stated, that Burchill is not the champion. However, he will have a chance to win it in a tournament. Burchill comes out with the United States Title Belt and cuts a promo, talking about how he’ll hand the belt over to someone if they can beat him for it but he doubts that’s going to happen. He talks about how he was cost his shot at the WWE Championship at Fatal Four Way last week and how he’s going to take it out on everyone in the tournament.

WWE United States Tournament Quarterfinals: Paul Burchill defeated Yoshi Tatsu with the Curb Stomp in 7:22 The high impact Tatsu took it to Burchill tonight but Burchill was just too much. He really battered Tatsu. Other than some brief comebacks, Burchill took Yoshi down with a brain buster and then Curb Stomped him for the pin. Burchill yells “one down, two to go” after the match. (B)

Out comes the WWE Champion Randy Orton, to discuss Fatal Four Way. He talks about his opponents. He says Kofi Kingston might be called the uncrowned WWE Champion because he’s won a few matches against Orton but he hasn’t won anything until he beats Orton with the title on the line. He says that the Big Show is just around because of his size and strength. He hasn’t done anything relevant in some time and he just happened to get a title shot. Orton says that Sheamus is just a big clumsy rookie, who Orton will pick apart. Orton says that he’s the WWE Champion for a reason. He beat Shawn Michaels to win the belt. He beat five of the best RAW superstars in Elimination Chamber. He beat the Rock at Wrestlemania 26. He beat John Cena in a Last Man Standing Match and ran him off RAW. He beat Edge at Over the Limit and now he’s going to win the Fatal Four Way Match. The announcers discuss that Sheamus might not be too happy about the comments that Orton made about him, as Orton and Sheamus will have to team up later tonight against Kofi Kingston and the Big Show as a preview for the WWE Championship match at Fatal Four Way.

Jamie Noble made Zack Ryder(w/Rosa Mendes) tap out to the Guillotine Choke in 6:55 to advance to the semifinals in the United States Title Tournament. Noble showed an impressive fire, but The Long Island Loud Mouth seemed determined to avenge his loss to Noble this past Thursday on Superstars and advance forward in this tournament. Noble ended up grabbing Rosa and kissed her, getting a huge pop from the fans. Ryder was not pleased, but Rosa seemed to like it. Noble managed to use Ryder’s anger against him, tying him in knots before making him tap out to a Guillotine Choke to advance forward in the tournament. (B-)

Noble gets on the microphone, cutting a promo, talking about how the WWE United States Title would look nice sitting on top of his television. He can look at that belt while he’s sitting in his trailer, drinking beer, eating biscuits and gravy, and watching NASCAR! The fans cheer, as Noble says that he’s the Redneck Messiah, Jamie “By Gawd” Noble, and the next United States Champion! The announcers talk about what a great story it would be if Noble won the United States Title after returning from a seemingly career ending injury.

Cody Rhodes pinned Mark Henry after ramming him into the exposed buckles to advance to the Semifinals of the United States Title Tournament in 6:22 Henry used his strength to muscle Cody Rhodes down but Rhodes used some wily tactics, including an exposed turnbuckle bolt, to advance forward into the tournament, joining Burchill and Noble in the final field of four. (C-)

We are backstage, where Edge is arguing with security. Security tells Edge that he’s given the week off to cool off after his chaotic brawl with Burchill. Edge says fine, but mutters that he’ll get in the building one way or another.

MVP pinned Rene Dupree with the Playmaker to advance forward in the United States Title Tournament in 8:11 Dupree’s bodyguard Ezekiel Jackson was sent to the back. The announcers talk about how while Dupree is a multi time former tag team champion, he’s never had singles gold and it looks like he won’t tonight, as MVP dazzles us with his wrestling brilliance, hitting the Playmaker. (B-)

The brackets are shown. Noble against Burchill and Rhodes against MVP. The winners of those two matches will meet to decide who the United States Champion is.

Katie Lea Burchill and Gail Kim defeated Beth Phoenix and Natalya when Gail pinned Natalya with Eat Defeat in 8:00 to advance to Fatal Four Way Mia Mancini and Maryse watched this match from ringside, as these two odd teams battled for a spot at Fatal Four Way. In the end, Katie Lea and Gail Kim triumped, with Gail Kim pinning Natalya, as Katie just managed to hold the Glamazon off. As a result, Mia Mancini will defend her Undisputed Women’s Title against Katie Lea Burchill, Gail Kim, and Mickie James in a Fatal Four Way Match at Fatal Four Way. ©

Burchill cuts a promo before the next match, taunting Edge and once again, holds up the United States Title Belt that he took weeks ago, saying this tournament is a mere formality as formalizing him as champion. He talks about his match with Jamie Noble, saying that he’ll sent all the fans back to their single wide tonight, crying, as they brush their tooth when they see their hero being taken down.

Paul Burchill pinned Jamie Noble with three Curb Stomps to advance into the United States Title Tournament in 11:08 Burchill took this match lightly, but he found out the hard way that Noble is rough. After about the third submission hold that he was trapped in and barely escaped, Burchill kicked it into overdrive, ramming him into the ringpost and the steps, pounding Noble but Noble fought out, like a pitbull, biting Noble and headbutting him in the ground. Noble beats on Burchill and missile dropkicks him in a two count. Noble goes up top and power bombed him out of the corner, before giving him a Curb Stomp. He pauses and gives Noble two more to make sure, before getting a win. (B-)

Noble is thrown to the floor and give a suplex right on the outside as Burchill storms off. He can’t believe that Noble gave him that much of a fight. Noble is hurt, but he lifts his arm, signifying to the fans that his back hasn’t been rebroken.

MVP pinned Cody Rhodes to advance to the finals of the United States Title Tournament in 5:55 MVP and Rhodes did battle tonight in a short but intense match. MVP escaped the Cross Rhodes before rolling up his opponent into a small package for the pin. (C+)

After the match, Burchill attacks MVP from behind, hitting a kneelift to the face and Curb Stomping MVP hard! Burchill now grabs the United States Title Belt and waffles MVP with it. MVP and Burchill in the finals was going to happen after the commercial break.

We come back, and MVP is being checked on, but Burchill shoves the doctors away and yells that they can check on Burchill, after he officially wins his title.

MVP pins Paul Burchill to win the WWE United States Title in 10:22 when Edge ran in from the crowd and Speared Burchill MVP kicked out of a couple of early pin attempts, which caused Burchill to flip and beat on MVP. When MVP fought back, Burchill completely lost it and continued to beat on MVP, with the referee taking a spill. As a result, Edge ran out and hit Burchill with the Spear out of nowhere. This allowed MVP to get the win and the United States Title, his fourth. (B)

Edge and Burchill pick up where they left off last week, brawling, as security tries to pull these two angry men apart. This started with a couple of choice comments backstage but its ended in violence. Security manages to pry these two men apart, after several minutes of spirited brawling.

Kofi Kingston and the Big Show defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton and Sheamus when Kofi pinned Sheamus after a knockout punch into the Trouble in Paradise in 12:22 Sheamus and Orton had their share of communication breakdowns during this match, but managed to isolate Kofi to beat on him. Kofi makes the tag and the Big Show enters the ring, to beat on everyone. Orton bails the ring and bails to the back, appearing to want to conserve himself for the Fatal Four Way. Show waffles Sheamus with the punch, allowing Kofi to hit the Trouble in Paradise for the pin. Kofi and Show celebrate their win as RAW goes off the air with hype for Fatal Four Way. (B)

WWE Superstars 6/10/10

We see Chris Jericho and CM Punk plotting backstage. Punk and Jericho talk about how they have been railroaded out of the World Heavyweight Title recently and agree to join forces, to watch each other’s backs in the near future. Nothing good can come between this alliance between Jericho and Punk and tonight when CM Punk takes on Evan Bourne, Bourne has to be looking over his shoulder.

Carlito and the Dudebusters d. Justin Gabriel and the Rotundo Brothers when Carlito pinned Alex Rotundo with the Back Stabber in 8:55 Some great six man tag team action, even if it took the crowd quite some time to warm up to everything. The fans wanted to see another battle between Justin Gabriel and Carlito, after Carlito got a cheap win over Gabriel several weeks back on ECW. Sadly, Carlito scored another win, pinning Alex Rotundo tonight. (D-)

Vladimir Koslov k’oed Edward Wilson with a series of elbow strikes to the head in 1:33 More ECW action, as Koslov really took apart the local talent, knocking him loopy with a series of elbows right to the side of the head. (D+)

A look at RAW, with MVP becoming the United States Champion, beating Paul Burchill, thanks to a little help from Edge. Edge and Paul Burchill has just been signed for Fatal Four Way in a number one contenders match for the WWE Championship.

The Hart Dynasty defeated Santino Marella and Festus when Kidd pinned Santino with the Springboard Hart Attack in 5:55 A pretty standard by the numbers match, showcasing the Unified Tag Team Champions. Festus is sent to the floor, allowing the Hart Dynasty to pick apart Santino and take him out with the Springboard Hart Attack. (C-)

The Hart Dynasty continue to destroy Santino, until R-Truth and Yoshi Tatsu make the save, fighting off the Hart Dynasty. The announcers take time to hype the Unified Tag Team Title Match this Monday between these two teams. The Hart Dynasty bail, but they have to defend the belts against a team that beat them in a non title match two weeks ago this Monday and if they make it through this Monday, they have a title defense at Fatal Four Way, against three other teams to be determined.

Hype for Smackdown, with a big one on one match involving Mike Knox against the Undertaker, along with a fifteen man battle royal for the final spot at Fatal Four Way.

Evan Bourne d. CM Punk via disqualification in 15:55 when Jericho interfered and shoved Bourne off the top rope These two men had an insane match, with lots of nearfalls. Punk’s attempt of the GTS is reversed into a DDT for a nearfall. Bourne hits a huracanrana, before going up top but Jericho shoves him off. The referee checks this interference and it’s a disqualification win for Bourne, obviously not the win he wanted over Punk tonight. (B)

We see Punk and Jericho double teaming Bourne until Rey Mysterio rushes out from the back to make the save. Rey knocks Punk and Jericho around and Bourne rejoins the fight, sending them packing. Bourne and Rey are in the ring, staring down Punk and Jericho who are on the ramp the ramp. The fans are going ballistic at the idea of these four men squaring off in tag team action! The battle lines have been drawn tonight on Superstars.
