Why have Xavier and Kofi win the smackdown tag belts if they're moving to raw? Seems dumb to me

A way to call for brands to interact. Give a belt that belongs to one brand, to another, and vise versa, and you have the appearance of brand splits while still being able to have match's involving both brands?

Haven't watched in a while, but that's why I would do it.

<p>Really enjoyable HIAC. Despite the gimmick being over done well before last night, it didn't feel overused. They should look to retire it for a few years though.</p><p> </p><p>

Right results for the most part. Maybe The Hurt Business comes across better on TV. The group does less than nothing for me. You could see Tucker's turn coming. Not sure what the fascination is with makeshift teams when they continually break up established teams.</p>

Watching Hell in a Cell and Michael Cole and Corey Graves are so bad on commentary. I used to love Graves, but his pairing with Cole is just bad. They have negative chemistry in TEW terms. I know Vince is yelling in their ears, but man, they're annoying. They explained the rules of the I Quit match like ten times!

At one point, Cole said something to Graves and there was a 30 second pause before Graves responded and if was super awkward.

Roman and Jey is very good, but commentary is really detracting from it.

<p>Also watched most of Havoc. Liked the presentation of Shotzi, the Ciampa promo and the 'movie' match, but there's just something incredibly stupid about casting fake crowd sounds when there's... no crowd. I can suspend my disbelief (this is pro wrestling after all) but it all feels very hokey. The random people on the monitors all over aren't exactly contributing much to anything, being motionless after a key win and looking all excited when the match is dull. Dumb decisions that almost destroy the experience for me. The performance during Shirai's intro was obviously fake as well.</p><p> </p><p>

The show was fine and the concept was nice but cancelled my subscription for the second time in years, despite NXT still being in a good place (Gargano cracks me up every week with his antics). I haven't watched anything "main show" for months. I looked at the Clash of Champions card and just passed on it.</p>

I would rather they pipe in the noise than hearing people yelling and banging on plexiglass. Works great for soccer for the European leagues. I was so fixed on the action that I didn't notice there were no fans. For wrestling you would have to black out the crowd area, since they would always be "visible" in some shots.</p>

When is Clash of Champions?

I haven't paid much attention to the people on the screens at the Capitol Wrestling Center.

It WAS two months ago, I think.

And the NXT crowd of talent that watch and 'animate' every week is a good thing imo. The bashing does make some noice that is suitable to the action, so that's definitely a positive imo.

Survivor Series was enjoyable overall. Neat send off to the Undertaker, but if they weren't going to speak or do anything, not sure what the point was to bring out his buddies.

I would say the booking decisions made sense for thelat part - don't recall anything egregious happening.

I was watching an old WWF MSG show from 1982 yesterday and I was a little shocked by who was in the first match. It was a match between Eddie Gilbert and his opponent was Curt Hennig.

I was shocked because I had no clue that Curt wrestled in the WWF prior to his days as Mr. Perfect. I just assumed all of his pre-Mr. Perfect days were in the AWA.

I was not shocked to see Eddie Gilbert in the match because I knew he was in the WWF around that time.

It was just odd to see Curt as a young babyface. Yes I know he was that in the AWA as well but I have never had the chance to see much of the old AWA stuff.

If it's anything like LU that'd be gold. Cancelled my sub atm because of lack of interesting things happening, but that might change that.

And it's been said before, but how sad is the women's tag division booked? I criticized TBA's because the roster wasn't deep enough, but here, based on the matchups alone, it's just lack of effort.

I do not know if I ever shared this story or not on here about Luke Harper. I once saw him wrestle for Dragon Gate USA in a show outside of Boston. He was working as a heel and for the entire match there was a little boy who was maybe seven or eight (He could have been younger) screaming and yelling at him the entire match.

After the match was done Luke left the ring and went over to where the young heckler was. I believe Luke's intentions were to give the kid a little scare as a joke because he looked down at the kid and stared at him. The kid started laughing and it was at that point that Luke noticed the kid had a deformed hand (No I am not a mind reader but I could tell by the look on his face). Luke went and gave the kid a hug and then clapped for the kid and told him he did a good job bothering him.

What is the point of this story? There is none really, I just always thought that was kind of cool of him to do that.

I thought I would share this again. This is why I always liked Luke/Brodie. I always felt there was so much more that the WWE could have done with him and they just never did for whatever reason.

I was thinking about unique match types and I wish WWE would bring back the Championship Scramble match. I was in attendance for Unforgiven 2008 and the crowd ate the matches up like crazy.

Also, another concept I really enjoyed that only happened once (to my knowledge) was the Elimination Chase. The first week it's a multi man match. The following week it's another multi man match except the loser from the previous week isn't in the match. This went on for a few weeks until it was down to two competitors. I thought it was one of the highlights of WWECW.

the elimination chase is something i always do with the floating titles in my games to crown the first ever champion, it will be four teams or six singles

would love to see that in wrestling

I usually start paying attention to the main roster around this time for the road to Wrestlemania, but I'm not even interested in NXT anymore.

That said, I am cautiously optimistic about Roman vs Adam Pearce. I always liked Adam on the independent scene and I know he hasn't wrestled in six years, but I think he's a smart enough worker to be able to have a good match with Roman.

As long as it isn't a squash anyway
