I agree with I think everyone else here that the crowd - for once - were on form, but Rey didn't deserve that treatment. Fair do's, boo him on his entrance because you were disappointed but the boos on the 619 on Rollins and the cheers on his exit were uncalled for, Rey didn't book it.

I think they're already feelings the effects of one world championship because they've almost got too many challengers for one title now. They've obviously found roles for Bray Wyatt, John Cena and CM Punk (Wyatt Vs. Cena and Punk Vs. The Authority) but then everyone else is either left fighting for the championship of which I can only imagine two spots available for Wrestlemania or doing nothing. Take Brock for example, he's just demolished a "giant", the commentators hyped him to the limit and he's already made his determination to win the championship known but where does this leave him? It's also the reason the likes of Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler have unceremoniously dropped down the card. Whether you like the new layout of a single world championship or not, you can't possibly like the fact that these guys no longer have the opportunity of some recognition whether that's a second-bit world championship or not.

I'm glad Alexander Rusev and Roman Reigns got the spotlight they deserve (by the way, that dropkick Roman Reigns entered with was fantastic) but Roman Reigns just leaves them with another problem. Obviously the break-up of The Shield will probably be there Wrestlemania moment, but it's what they do with Reigns after that now people will see him as that main event guy. A lot could change between now and 'Mania, but as we've already witnessed, the 'E aren't as subtle as they like to think they're; whether you like it or not, Batista winning the Rumble was always a certainty.

@Basmat01 - The punch usually "knocks out" most people but Brock took it and continued wrestling. Stennick
I really have no idea why people are so upset about this. They have been telling you for a MONTH this was exactly what they were going to do. They pushed two stories for this Rumble. Batista returns, and CM Punk is number one. That was as close as they could come to saying "Bastista is going to win and Punk is going coast to coast". Then there were some of you that still believed so they had Bryan go on RAW and say he WASN'T even going to be in the match.

Instead of everyone saying "ok I understand Batista is going to win and that sucks so I'm not going to buy it" instead you guys went the opposite direction. Bryan is going to be a surprise entrant and win it because Vince and Triple H are playing us and they are going to swerve us. Even though they've given you ZERO indication over the last six months that Daniel Bryan was anything more than an Upper Mid Carder with a fun yes chant. Right or wrong that is how they view him, that is how they have pushed him. If anyone thought anything but this result was going to happen they only have themselves to blame for watching/buying. It was the most obvious Rumble in years.

The Final Countdown
I hear you, Stennick. I passed on going in on ordering the Rumble with a buddy for exactly the reasons you listed. It's clear to me that they don't view Bryan as "the guy", no matter how loudly the crowd reacts to him, and that has a lot to do with why Raw is no longer on my DVR schedule. machinesxe
This was really bad ending. They could have had it come down to Wyatt and Bryan in the end and had Cena come out when it looked like Wyat had the win and he Bryan win shortly after making a full shift to Wyatt vs Cena and Bryan vs Champion. It's not even like Bryan got "held" back tonight by the higher ups to build that feud further. They are holding Bryan back and not doing what's best for business, tonight's finish helps no one. Batista isn't The Rock, he isn't Y2J, heck he isn't even RVD. He is a leftover roided jackass who was on top when C Rated wrestling was happin with the likes of Main Ecenters like Rey Rey and JBL... I'm just saying, he bags on ADR, but he was on the B show as the B champion during a downtime. This should have been Daniels getting the torch to carry... Vince is stupid. I just looked at what their biggest and best match was and thought maybe they should build according to that. And the bar I was at was just as bored/annoyed by Batista's win as everyone else. It was the most poorly booked rumble in years, and the crowd reaction pretty well bears that out. Seriously, the WWE could've at least had Bad News Barrett come out and play up being #30 instead of stupidly thinking that the crowd wouldn't boo Rey. I rarely get annoyed at wrestling, and I keep optimistic (possibly too much so), until I have reason otherwise - to me, this is another good step for Bryan being even more over. The 'moments' Bryan has created have all been because he's 'held down', it's what has made him since at least WM 28. The more that fans perceive this, the stronger he gets from what I've seen. He's in a prominent role on every TV show (most TV Main Event) and had a great match tonight. Fair enough with the negative, but I see a lot to be positive about, since I enjoyed the show.
