Tips for playing as XCC

Recommended Posts

My advice to you would be too keep your shows small to begin with. Have 5-6 fights on a card.

Also when you sign fighters, try and get there signing bonus down to as low as possible. TV deals are really really handy too. Also when your promotion gets bigger, I'd consider making a few heavier divisions, otherwise you'll struggle for main events.

OOOOHHHH YEEEEEAAAAHHH!!!

XCC is my favorite company and I've played countless games with them. I'll try to give you a crash course through IMO the most exciting promotion to play as.

1. Get a PPV deal as soon as possible. You will literally bleed money until you land a PPV deal. The magic number? High Regional popularity. Put on shows that the fans want to see and you should hit it near the end of the year.

2. Expand your initial roster. This isn't wrestling. MMA requires an almost constant roster turnaround. Constantly hire guys to bring in some new blood and find the guy on the streak and don't hesitate to let the contract of guys on 3 loss streaks run out. Some nice pickups, Procopio Golias, Echiko Watanabe, Chico Feijo, Jay Dorridge, Layla Holmes and Trish Biel.

3. BEWARE! Manuel Silva is a beast, but gets plucked very quickly. Personally, I generally release him and fill my lightweight division with new prospects. Philip Ziskie is easier to hang on to and will be the rock you build around. Remember! Always continue building guys with win streaks.

4. Don't go after big name workers! Well, not until you're financially safe. The first year is the hardest and you need to be frugal with your money. After that, go wild, though, I personally like building guys myself who normally wouldn't become big names.

If you need anymore advice, let me know. I almost play exclusively with XCC.

Later. MUCH later. I'm 5 years in and barely have a sustainable Welterweight division. Wait until you have enough stars in your 3 main divisions first. Expansion will come later.

1. Start off with Three fights in each division. Four once you starting bringing in alot of talent.

2. Wait for about a year before you start to build a new weight division.

3. Get a PPV deal ASAP.

Don't be afraid of not having a champion be the main event. In my XCC game it seems like I was able to put on a great show without the champion alot of times so I did. You can build up alot of guys (and girls) that become Main Event worty without title fights.

Ok I'm two yrs in now. I added a Lightweight and a welterweight Division last yr. I'm considering adding Middle and Light heavy this yr. Is it a good idea?

I've made money the last 6 months.

I have a good reputation and am a low level national company now.

It's up to you, it's your game, but I wouldn't. XCC are built around the lighter classes and women. Diluting the product with more classes kind of defeats the object. You may as well start as a created company or any of the standard ones with the normal classes.

I agree and disagree with this, I mean your point is right you it does kind of dilute the product as the promotion is supposed to be only the lighterweights.

However, I personally see XCC as the C-Verse version of the old WEC. Therefore, I really do not have a problem having the higher weight divisions. I personally go as high as Light Heavyweight but that is just me.

I see it the same way. Like the old WEC before UFC involvement.

I just don't see why you'd pick a company that's specific challenge is to build around the lighter classes and women, just to change it into a generic promotion when you could have just started as any other company, or created one.</p>

<p>Of course you lose money all the time. If you're not being too greedy in the signing, you should reach low national just before you go under 0 in the bank.</p><p> </p><p>

Then, it's a walk on easy street. Just keep a monthly PPV. Don't bother if you drop to high regional again, just make sure the PPV deal is well underway. Then you'll start to rank up cash and build pop, until you eventually become high international. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>
