Macquarie and Standish proved to be just too much for the Wills Cousins who tried to use a matt based style Triple S pinned Matty Wills after a Brainbuster.

Another fairly open showing from these 2 teams and the Japanese team picked up this win with Motty Kuroda hit a Missile Dropkick on Rusty and rolled him up for the 1 2 3 with Stratosphere and Wakabayashi taking care of the other 2 band members.

.. and out walks 'Space Invader' White Wasp and it must be his birthday.

Once again these two go at it giving their all for a match neither want to lose and not just because of Comedian having to leave DIW if he loses. Seeker hits the Snap Neckbreaker and pins for the 1 .. 2 .. and Comedian somehow manages to kick out and he fights back sending the Priest over the top rope with a big Right and stalks after his prey hitting a Running Powerslam on the outside before dragging him back into the ring and pinning for the 1 .. 2 .. and Seeker is saved by Stephanie Drucker she pulls the ref out the ring ..

Mayhem Mulhoney and Tombstone work well together at times looking like on their own they could possibly beat The Congregation until Australian Elemental started arguing with Mayhem, Tombstone Belly to Back suplex'd Guerrero over the top rope and locked in the Rear Naked Choke on John Gordon. Menace to Sobriety entered the ring and broke up the Submission attempt but Mayhem shoved Australian Elemental away and hits a Big Boot on Menace followed by the Mayhem Bomb before being shoved back by Australian Elemental who makes the pin getting the win for his team.

Mayhem and Comedian was all set to go when Seeker followed by Menace to Sobriety, Abattoir + Malietoa attacked the 2 competitors throwing Chairs into the ring at them before entering the ring theirselves they are soon joined by Alyx Macquarie who takes the opportunity to handle the DIW Championship Belt before using it to hit both Comedian and Mayhem at Seekers discretion finally Tombstone arrives to help out Mayhem and Comedian but the numbers game soon catches up with him and Malietoa uses the Samoan Death Grip to drop the MMA expert to his knees before Alyx Macquarie hits Tombstone with the DIW belt as well the show finished with Tombstone, Mayhem Mulhoney + The Comedian all down and out on the floor and The Congregation all seemingly welcoming Alyx Macquarie into the fold!

Asylum the big story!

Well its Asylum the talk of wrestling forums everywhere after Seeker stole his mask and him suffering a Swolen Ankle after his 'sick bump' through the electrical equipment at last nights Brawls, Beer N' Blood he is likely to be taking the next DIW show off and will probably return as Asylum his original gimmick who was last seen losing a 'Win some lose some' match against Warmonger and Vance Sturt his career 'ending' as the stipulation of the match.

Not friends ..

Dingo Devine and Christopher Gerrard (Wills) have been having problems lately. It is said the two will not even exchange pleasantries backstage and one of the 2 may be forced out of the company.

Breaking news on the Asylum front the DIW website is reporting that Asylum wants to take a break from the company and explore some other options for now, he is however leaving on good terms and it is thought he could be back at a later date.

I like Taniko´s team more but it´s too early for title change and Jimmy isn´t on the same page than rest of his team.

With so many big names in this match it´s seems like the titles are changing hand probably because there is a midcard title promised in someone´s contract. My money is on Seeker and Alyx becoming the champs either with help of the Students or after betraying them.

Well it appears that The Barracudas have decided to enter the contest as a Trio well this match was quickly turned into a 3-1 match anyway with Blitz Simpson and Chopper Rourke helping out Vaughan and he soon picks up the win after a Choke Slam onto set up Chairs.

The Announcers put over that Wildcats Hoo we're offered a spot and Rusty was selected by them and in complete contrast with The Barracudas Trio Lynx, Marcus Kerr and Lori kept a respectfull distance from the action and Rusty somehow managed to turn a Lifting Choke Hold into a Hurricanrana and follow quickly with a Northern Lights Suplex and 1 .. 2 .. 3 Rusty is in the Tournament.

Backstage we see Asylum for the first time in 2 1/2 years without his mask on .. He is suddenly attacked by The Barracudas the Trio all have metal weapons Iron Bars/Crowbars they beat the former Australian Elemental down to the ground leaving him down and out until they bail when security arrives ..

In what is easily the longest match in Deep Impact Wrestling history this also turned into a very close match, which for those keeping score went 28 minutes .. Unfortunately 27 minutes in Monday Next arrives at ringside with Melissa Abernathy reluctantly in tow this distracted Dingo enough for Triple S to hit the Brainbuster and that was all she wrote 3 seconds later Spiffy Stan Standish is announced the winner ...

The 4 Congregation members work together except Alyx Macquarie proves again that he either isn't completely on their page, that or he is just too clumsy because he misses Comedian with a Super Kick and hits Seeker right on the jaw eats a High Low combo of a Sweep from Vance Sturt and Samoan Spike from Brisbane Devil who feel the wrath of The Comedian whilst Mayhem double clotheslines Malietoa + Abattoir over the top rope ..

... The Comedian hits the Running Powerslam on Vance Sturt but gets quickly sent through the ropes by Macquarie who then dives ont Sturt pinning him with the ropes as leverage Death Ref counts the 1 .. 2 .. 3 and Seeker and Alyx Macquarie are the new DIW Tag Team Champions and Abattoir and Malietoa do not look happy staring a hole in the celebrating Alyx Macquarie.

Master of Hardcore first round matches:

Match 1: Vaughan vs Jimmy Stratosphere vs Brisbane Devil

This one is hard (well they all are really there no squash matches after all) but I choose Jimmy based on my prediction about winner of the non-pinned loser match

Match 2: Menace to Sobriety vs Seeker vs Dingo Devine

With Dingo and Next in a feud it would be likely that they meet each other´s at some point and so Dingo has to go forward here

Match 3: Monday Next vs Malietoa vs Rusty

Ditto here Next needs to advance so he can face Dingo.

3 Non-pinned losers

Brisbane Devil vs Seeker vs Rusty

I´m little unsure about leaving Vaughan out with his two buddies but since Seeker is such a big name he would need to advance and Barracudas screwing twice (they will likely interference anyway) would make them look quite bad.

Semi Final A: Dingo Devine vs Monday Next

Monday have been a little bit ahead on Dingo so far so it´s Dingo´s turn and with Seeker likely to be in finals face opponent seems to be better idea.

Semi Final B: Jimmy Stratosphere vs Seeker

Seeker is leader of the biggest stable so he needs to stay quite strong and as much as I like Jimmy he isn´t likely to get singles push now that he is new trios champion

Final,

Dingo Devine vs Seeker

I think that Dingo´s win would mean more than Seeker´s espesially when you could use that to further the Dingo vs. Next feud by making Next claim that Dingo stole the tourneamnt victory from him.

DIW Championship match,

Alyx Macquarie vs Dumfrey Pinn vs SPiffy Stan Standish vs Tombstone vs The Comedian vs Mayhem Mulhoney

So many good choices here with all six being quite reasonable choices as champs. I go with the champ here though since I feel it´s too early for a title change, though I wouldn´t be too surprised if Pinn has a main event title run promised on his contract.

Vaughan brought out Blitz Simpson and Chopper Rourke as support and with the Hardcore rulez in place for the Tournament they of course got involved ..

Choppe Rourke and Blitz Simpson double teamed Brisbane Devil and put him through the Announce Table, meanwhile in the ring Mistress Taniko tries to hand Jimmy some Brass Knucks but he appears to not want them and the hesitation cost him as when he turned around Vaughan was ready and grabbed him around the throat and lifted him before hitting a Choke Bomb and 3 seconds later he is the winner.

Poor poor Rusty both men take it in turns really to hit him with the weapons layed around ringside and only really go for each other when they have to, Monday Next after a while leaves Malietoa to it and watches from outside the ring conspicous by her absence is Melissa Abernathy the announcers comment that Monday may hve decided having her in his corner isn't worth it after what happened last month .. Malietoa hits the Samoan Spike and goes for the pin but Monday Next chooses this moment to re-enter the ring and stomps on the back of the Samoan braking up the pin attempt and hitting the Flashforward when he gets to his feet and pins Rusty himself using the ropes for leverage 1 .. 2 .. 3 Monday Next is through.

The announcers put over that this match is between the 3 men who weren't pinned in their respective 3 way matches but that Seeker has left the building leaving this a 1 on 1, Both men clearly have alot of hatred for each other these days and give everything they have .. both men go for a Samoan Spike at the same time and they both connect stagger and drop with Brisbane Devils arm draping over Malietoa Death Ref makes the count 1 .. 2 .. 3 and Brisbane Devil gets the win but what does he have left in the tank!?

No alliances in this one all 6 men know whats on the line and they all want Mayhem Mulhoney's DIW Championship Belt, the action goes all over the arena and even though we don't have the usual bar room atmosphere the wrestlers make do with what they have using Kendo Sticks, Chairs, Tables with The Comedian and Mayhem Mulhoney both going through one ...

... Mayhem Mulhoney climbs back into the ring and brakes up Tombstones Rear Naked Choke he had locked on to Triple S he throws the MMA guys through the ropes almost into Alyx Macquarie and those two go at it. The Comedian lifts up the big Dumfrey Pinn and hits the Running Powerslam and turns around and Mayhem Mulhoney and The Comedian are stood at opposite ends of the ring and stare holes in each others heads .. Triple S rolls Mayhem up and Dumfrey rolls The Comedian up but they both get just 2 counts ...

.. Mayhem is shoved into Comedian by Triple S and Comedian drops and the Spiffy one locks in the Figure Four on him and Dumfrey Pinn goes at Mayhem but walks righht into a massive Headbutt then another and a third drops Pinn and Mayhem Mulhoney signals for it and shows his strength lifting the Big Man and hitting the Mayhem Bomb and pins for the 1 .. 2 .. 3, Mayhem Mulhoney retains the DIW Championship.

A few tidbits on Deep Impact Wrestling. ZEN Academy graduate Blue Flea was given a trial Dark Match at Suckerpunch where he impressed both in the ring and backstage where it's being reported he made the locker room a happy place by bringing in a keg of beer, so expect this youngster to make his full debut soon.

Suckerpunch was the first DIW event (for the last couple of years anyway) to go on DVD sale it is said to of sold well and all events will no be for sale by DVD and no longer available to watch on the Deep Impact Wrestling website.

The Congregation stable looks to be on its last legs from what we've seen recently and i'd expect Dumfrey Pinn and his 'new Pinn Enterprises' to probably replace Seeker's group at the top of the card.

And finally with the Dingo Devine vs Monday Next match at Master of Hardcore getting such a good reaction expect another helping before the expected 'final blow-off' at Wrestlarama in November.

Since I have been lurking in alt picture threat:D I know that you have asked alts for certain guys who I presume will form a stable with White Wasp. I assume this will be a debut to one of em and since I´m not high on Wasp and assume that he will be the leader, I´m going to predict against the mystery guy here.

Tombstone is one of your top guys so he picks a win here against Abattoir who have been decent but not great

The big news in Australia is that Deep Impact Wrestling have declared war on ZEN it is unknown at this time wether The Comedian was just bored with the 3 way war, wants some of the high flying talent to himself or if Halloween Knight brought him a bad pint.

ZEN has become something of a laughing stock recently, after DIW published an article consisting of 100 jokes about the company on their website. This led to an outbreak of ZEN jokes spreading accross the internet, and has reportedly left the management of the promotion extremely angry.

Heh, I was quite of with my last predictions with exactly half of them going wrong, so let´s see if I can do better this time.

Taniko's Team That Can (Tetsuji Nishimoto, Fuyuhiko Wakabayashi + Motty Kuroda) vs Vance Sturt, Brisbane Devil + Jimmy Stratosphere

I give Vance and Devil another go over Taniko´s Team That CAn since they lost last month (though Jimmy won he´s match so its 1-1).

Armando Guerrero, 'Soldier of the Mirror Universe' John Gordon + Menace to Sobriety vs Wildcats Hoo (Lynx, Marcus Kerr + Rusty)

Another 1-1 situation, as much as i would like to pick Gordon and friends I must assume that it´s the named team that picks the win

'Human Weapon' Rob Edwards vs Ultra Violence

No idea who Edwards is but if he´s going to play with Tombstone he sure should win this one

Blitz Simpson vs The Comedian

I presume that Comedian still don´t like losing so he wins
