Moderndaywarrior
Thanks. BTW, your buddy Super Olympia keeps on rolling as he had another successful title defense. At the start,I like to work the physical type skills (athleticism, power, stamina, toughness, maybe aerial) alot; you probably want to have you at least a C in those to open up a good selection for moves, plus be able to make up for lack of overness with physicality.Of course with Mark, you probably have some good grades in there so that means less you have to work to build a base. After that you want basics (for move selection), then your bawling/chain/mat wrestling,etc......that will be enough to get you wins,so go for psychology/selling to help keep your spot and finally when you feel it is getting to the time to move up to Cult/National level you want to start hitting the entertainment skills hard to help you "get a shot" in the bigger promotions. Once you make it big, then it is just a matter of who you want to work for and building a portfolio for retirement. As for my boy Super O, I was happy enough when he wasn't stuck as a completely putrid tag team jobber, the title run is just gravy.

captainlou
You mean like the last go around when he was teamed with (yuck!) Mike Starbuck. GCW is doing it again at times to Double A but at least it's not being done exclusively. Right now in SECW, Super O is a main eventer and Mark's a midcarder so I might be seeing him from time to time as Mark inches his way along. Thanks for the advice. Between that and the snapshot you gave me from before (at the 18 month point), I should have a good guideline to follow. Here's how his skills are at the midway point of 1983: Rumble Brawling: D Power: A Strong Style: F Hardcore: D MMA: F Technical Mat Wrestling: E Chain Wrestling: F Submissions: F Flying Aerial: F Flashiness: E Entertainment Microphone: E Charisma: C- Acting: D (maxed at 28 right now) Looks: A Star Quality: A Performance Basics: D Psychology: D Safety: E Consistency: D Selling: D Physical Athleticism: C+ Toughness: B Stamina: D Others Intensity: C Stiffness: C+ Resilience: B Menace: B Refereeing: F With Mark working in PNW, I'm hitting some of the entertainment skills a little because it's a sports entertainment promotion. The tech skills need to be built up because they all started at F and I'll have to hit them a couple of times each month to get them built up in order to open up more technical moves. Greg McNeish
You're really catching stride now. Three big wins in a row, baby. The 3-falls match with Colt told a great story. You completely steamrolled him, in the first fall, before he caught a lucky break, and rolled you up in a quick Boston Crab, forcing you to tap, to avoid too much damage for the final fall. Then the match just came unglued, as a ref bump and duelling chair shots on the outside wore down both men. You kicking out of the piledriver was shocking. I thought it was over right there. That frustration was enough to throw Colt off his game, and you capitalized with the Claw. Simply brilliant. Then you brutalized Falk. I really doubt he deserved that kin of butt kicking. Topping it all off, you had a great match with Mr. Olympia. I would definitely classify it as an upset. You unloaded with throat thrusts, in the early going. That grabbed you a ton of momentum, from the off. Then it was just a matter of cutting off his comebacks, so he couldn't turn the tide. Cue the Claw, and that's another winner's pot in your bankroll. If this keeps up, I don't think it'll be too long before Mean Mark is sniffing gold.
