"How ridiculous is all this now?"

As I walked into the training area and spied one person in particular, being kneaded like dough.

"I.....can't.....hear.....you......"

In a panicked high pitched voice, dripping with sarcasm, I continued, "Don't you realize what's going to happen if this fails? We'll be worse off than we were before!"

Jumping on that almost immediately, she replies with a smirk, "The Bomb is here, failure is no longer possible."

"Oh, hey, there you are!"

I turn to see someone who looks very different without her customary makeup, obviously on her way out.

"Hey Sherie."

"Heeeeyyyyy.......Gracieeeee", came the reply, as Sherie "Cherry Bomb" Guthrie, responded to the ministrations of the masseur.

"Hey champ, what's up?"

With a slight blush, "Saving" Grace Harper leans in conspiratorially, "I'm heading home but I just wanted to give you a heads up. Girl I trained up in Seattle when I helped with the Cat's Lair is about to graduate. I've been keeping an eye on her and helping her when I could. She'll probably sign with AAA since she doesn't have any other offers....."

"She'll have other offers. Count on that."

"Hehe, I thought so. See ya tomorrow."

Going over the rough estimates of our developmental rosters in my mind, I didn't know if we had room for any more in-ring performers. But when a worker like Grace Harper vouches for you, there's no choice but to make room, if necessary.

QAW Showcase - Week 1 February 2010

In the aftermath of Revolution, two new champions were crowned and two sets of champions escaped with their titles after hard fought battles.

By decree of General Manager Cheyenne, there will be no rest for the wicked (or the just) as with this Showcase, tag teams take precedence.

Fresh off their win at Revolution, Seek & Destroy will be in action. Have they finally seen the last of the Crush Gals?

Recipe for Success seeks to regroup post-Revolution, but they face a tall order as they face off against Call of Duty.

Smarting from their loss at Revolution, the Icons of Tradition will find no reprieve as they're in action, against the Super Powers.

Vixxen has been keeping a low profile of late, but that ends at Showcase as she teams for the very first time with Geena to take on the young Aussie duo of Jessie & Lexi, the Commonwealth.

We're told that the Bomb will also be in action but with and against who has yet to be announced.

And our main event is sure to be an instant classic. Fresh off of headlining Revolution, this time it's cooperative, as the Dream Team of Joanne Rodriguez and Suzanne Brazzle face off against their opponents from Revolution, Saving Grace and Golden Delicious. With all the bad blood that exists between these women, can Grace and the Aussie Assassin coexist for one night, long enough to produce a W? We'll find out.....at Showcase!

Just chiming in to say that I never thought to go with "Technical Excellence" for Elyssa. (Brandy, maybe, but not Elyssa.) It just never resonated in my mind. Nice touch!

And now, Littlefeather. I'm going to make a prediction that many people will disagree with, but only because you don't know what I know. Every one of the women I just mentioned, will be world champion before this is all said and done. Count on it. Talent counts for a lot in this company, if not this business. Interesting. I have a bit of a quandary, a conflict of sorts. Y'see, the match I planned to open the show with isn't possible right now. A rematch from Revolution between the Crush Gals and Seek & Destroy. So I have a young tag team in Seek & Destroy that I'll have to tell that they're not competing tonight. That is, unless you have a suggestion...?” Cut to the camera with a shot of the smile quickly developing on J.Ro's face as well as the excited group of women standing behind her. “Give me a moment.” J.Ro turns and a huddle commences with the expected number of emphatic exchanges bound to occur with twelve women trying to come to a consensus. Before long, they break and Suzanne Brazzle has the mic. Facing the ramp and Cheyenne, she says simply, “How's this sound? Seek & Destroy against....Jana Marie Bowen....” The crowd pops. “....and.....”Baby Blue” Kinuye Mushashibo!” The crowd pops louder as Cheyenne smiles and says, “That'll do. That'll do juuuust fine. Oh and I hope you ladies are ready, because that match starts right.....now.”</div></blockquote> Do I need to even say how huge this is? Probably not. I would not be surprised to see the newcomer Littlefeather paired with young HEART. Autumn mutters, “Told you.” The champion regards her uninvited guest with mirth in her eyes as she says, “Step no further but please, I'm curious as to the reason for this interruption.” “Right. Well, we're teaming tonight and I want to make sure we're on the same page.” “And what 'page' would that be, exactly?”, the champion inquired. “The winning page. I want to make sure you're out there to win, not to play mind games or summat.” “Your concern is noted. Now, if you will excuse us....” Angered at being summarily dismissed, Golden leans as if she intends to leap at the champion before a 'hssst!' sound from Autumn catches her attention. As she turns, she sees the cause for alarm as Geena has the spear poised to strike and pointed at her head. Leaving, Golden says, “It's just as well. With an opportunity to face the most recent #1 contenders to the Twinstar titles, they tried their damndest to make the best of it. And make the best of it they did...with help, as in the 9th minute, O Canada hit the speakers and Marianne walked out onto the stage before slowly heading down the ramp, drawing the attention of everyone in the ring. Thus, few people saw Canadian Angel spear Outrider clear out of the ring before Québécoise dropped Docent with the Secession Sweep before sliding out of sight. Ah, but Keisha saw it. Replays would later show that it seemed she was expecting it by the way she moved into a corner as Marianne came out. As Québécoise lays the titles out, Canadian Angel sets Outrider up, looking for the Destroyer. Instinctively moving to back-to-back position, the sisters adopt a defensive stance, fighting off their attackers while steadily turning around. A lunging Keisha takes a boot to the face from Saffron. Québécoise feints to one side and charges the other but Amber isn't fooled and drops her with a short-arm clothesline. Impressive, but the numbers start to work against the siblings before the favor is returned as Docent uses the ropes to springboard into a shoulderblock, catching Canadian Angel between the shoulder blades and propelling her into a twisting spinebuster from Saffron. As Gina moves forward to take advantage of the kneeling hothead sister, she steps right into an enzuigiri from Amber. As Québécoise looked to bail from the ring, she turned right into the wolfish grin of Outrider. After a few seconds contemplation, the two women begin trading blows The crowd starts to go crazy, drowning out the warning of Marianne who saw a situation developing when Outrider inexplicably fell to one knee but was followed by the flying form of Docent delivering a crossbody to the unaware Québécoise. Having had quite enough, the heels roll (or are pulled, in the case of Québécoise) from the ring and gather at the base of the ramp, licking their wounds as the four women left in the ring beckon them back in and pose for the crowd. Injecting perspective into the encounter, Marianne raises the Twinstar titles over her head and in the background of the shot, Gina and Keisha can be seen staring at the upraised titles with unmasked desire as Heather B whispers something into their ears. A tenuous alliance between the champions and RfS? Tenuous being the operative word. I don't think any champion can feel secure in any of their relationships with fellow competitors. I mean, no. Ah, I don't know.” “What troubles you?” “Losing, that's what. That's all I seem to be able to do. And the worst part is, I'm dragging Meg down with me!” “Hmm, how many matches have you had?” “Um, I dunno. Like five?” “Three. You have worked three matches. You've won one of those matches.” “Correction, Meg has won one of those matches.” “Ah, but you must learn what it means to be a member of a team. It doesn't matter who scored the pinfall. You were both involved in progressing the match to that point.” “Yeah but I'm killing Meg's career!” “How so?” “The name Megumi Nakajima means something in Japan. Isn't she considered like the future of joshi puroresu, along with DEVIL? If she's losing all the time here, that's going to make her look bad. Especially since QAW is seen in Japan.” “And you think Nakajima-chan didn't realize there would be a rough start when she chose to team with a rookie? You think she didn't know that you would be the weak link until you learned and obtained some experience?” “But...well....” “It wasn't so long ago that she, was you.” “That can't be....” “It is. I was there. But what made her different is that she was always trying to learn, always trying to get better. She didn't storm out and want to quit after two losses.” The biting remark hits home and Martina hangs her head before asking, “How do you deal with losing?” “Everyone is different. However, the best ones tend to come back better after every setback. Striking hard and seeming to disappear before a retaliation could be made, kept them in control during the earlygoing. The momentum shifted instantly though, as Lexi went for a springboard enzuigiri off the top rope, showing amazing hops, but wiped out as the veteran Vixxen dropped to her knees to avoid the maneuver. Lexi then spent the next five minutes in no woman's land, being alternately pounded by Vixxen and Geena, with Sienna at ringside shouting encouragement. Finally, Vixxen hit the Fall of Reason on Lexi and, as Jessie sought to break up the pinfall, she failed to notice Geena crouched in a corner, bouncing on her heels. Tayla entered like an inferno, taking her opponents down repeatedly. A textbook Twist on the Rocks on Power Girl left her down as Tayla spun to meet the charging Amazing Lass, launching her into the air as Brooke seemed to materialize out of nowhere to complete the Weight of Tradition. Finally, Golden Delicious tagged herself in one time too many, invoking the ire of the self-proclaimed savior, allowing a battered Suzanne time to stumble into her corner and make the tag to the relatively fresh J.Ro. Sizing her opponents up as they got into a shoving match, she put them both down with a double clothesline that sent the World champion to the outside. With Sienna holding the title belt, the champion waved off the action in the ring in disgust and started to make her way up the ramp. Noticing that, J.Ro and Suzanne whipped Golden Delicious into her corner, where she frantically looked to make a tag...to find no one at home. Staring at the ramp (and her supposed partner backing up said ramp), she fumed before rushing out of the corner, into a tandem Japanese arm drag. With the crowd on its feet, J.Ro and Suzanne made the sleeping gesture and sized the rising Golden up. QAW LiveWire preview - Week 1 February

After an eventful Showcase, LiveWire keeps the heat on with a slew of top notch contests.

After a period of rest following her win at Revolution, Emma Bitch has stated she intends to make her presence felt at LiveWire.

The official QAW in-ring debut of the newest member of TR1BE, Littlefeather, takes place as the Native American squares off against the recently out of hiding "Snow Bunny" Jeri Behr. Jeri Behr has also made it known that she has a message to send to QAW Generation XX champion HEART Saitoh. Will she choose her match with HEART's compatriot to send that message?

One half of the Crush Gals, the re-energized Martina Baker, is in singles action against the seasoned, high flying Sakura Sada. Eagerly seeking the winning path, can Martina overcome the veteran joshi bird of prey?

TR1BE comes out in full force as Jana Marie Bowen prepares to go one-on-one with Brooke Dunn and "Baby Blue" Kinuye Mushashibo squares off with Lady Caramel.

But I'm intent on doing two shows a week for the diary starting tomorrow with LiveWire so we'll be back on track ASAP. Thanks to the folks still following along after the ridiculously long hiatus.

What division of Viacom are you employed with that your workload would span so many different stations and events? Television is usually very split up and specific so I would have thought that the people working in these specific television stations, BET, MTV, Spike, would carry the workload for these different events and Viacom wouldn't hire people specifically for help with all of these projects instead of just one. Anyway I've not seen the mother company do much work on the actual events and I'm downright obsessed with my job field and even how others operate such as Viacom, etc. so I thought that was interesting.

That encompasses ALL of the networks and even the smaller divisions like Atom Films and EpixHD. I didn't realize BET and Paramount were part of the whole because in my previous stint on the account, those two were booked by another travel management company. But they were brought into the fold when that contract expired. Across the street from 1515 Broadway (headquarters) is a Bubba Gump Shrimp Company restaurant. I didn't know Viacom owned that too until a co-worker told me and then pointed out a big neon sign in one of the side windows (facing 1515) that says, "We (Heart) MTV".

The in-ring debut of Littlefeather is what I am looking forward to. She has much flash but can she deliver where it counts?

Stacy is interrupted as the lights go out and the QueenScreen alights with a video of a massive green dragon in flight. With
accompanying, the camera follows the beast as it flies in circles before landing with an audible thump (and camera shake), cranes its neck left and right, spots the camera, roars and then spews a toxic green cloud of gas at the camera, completely obscuring it. The video ends with a cryptic message:

From the outset, it seemed a one-sided affair but not the side most expected. Obviously affected by nerves, Littlefeather was initially no match for Jeri, who seemed intent on making a name for herself at the expense of the new interloper. However, she took too much time setting up her handspring slingshot back elbow, time the young Native American woman used to slide clear. From there, it was all Littlefeather, showing just how much she's learned. Jeri, feeling her hard fought win slip, slip, slipping away, turned up the aggression only to find that her former showgirl opponent had morphed into a counter wrestling machine. Her clothesline ducked and countered into a neckbreaker. An irish whip got her a hip attack for her troubles. And finally, being irish whipped to the ropes got her spun around twice and before she knew it, she found herself on the receiving end of the Feather Fall and the bell was ringing.

Winner: Littlefeather

Not bad for a debut.

She must learn to contain or channel her nervousness. A superior opponent would not be taken down quite so easily.

Yuko: Hm.

Willow: Nevermind. On behalf of The Bomb, who is currently soaking up some rays on the beach, driving all the guys mad with desire, allow me to welcome you Yuko.

Yuko: Thank you.

Willow: Don't interrupt me ever again. Now, some lucky and undeserving woman is going to get a free shot at this QAW Shockwave title...

Yuko: Tonight?

Willow: What did I tell you about interrupting me? Did I say tonight? Maybe I would have if I hadn't been so rudely interrupted. No, not tonight. On Monday, on Showcase, someone's going to hit what they think is the lottery. It'll only end in pain and disappointment though.

Willow puts an exaggerated frown on her face.

Olivia: The bylaws say I must defend this title at least once every 30 days. I'm a fighting champion so I plan to defend it more than once a month. But, after Monday night, I'll defend it when and where I want to. I plan to hold this title until The Bomb tells me it's time to take the world title from whoever is unlucky enough to be holding it at the time. Learn to love it because it's not going to change.

Yuko: Hm.

Martina Baker w/Monique vs Sakura Sada

Martina used this match to prove to herself, as well as others, that she belongs here in QAW. While her in-ring style isn't nearly as polished as many, she showed she is quickly learning how to involve the crowd in the match. After spending half the match as the babyface in peril, she made her comeback at a blistering pace. After two failed attempts at what seemed to be the Nakajima Straight Jacket, she abandoned that tactic and successfully hit the Candle in the Wind for the pin and the hard fought win.

As the camera takes his place beside her, she glances over and, putting her sunglasses on, says, "The Bomb is watching, always. She's on the lookout for more talent, future immortals, to add to the Squad. The Bomb wants more gold. She wants the Twinstar titles and she wants Generation XX. She already has the World title taken care of. And what The Bomb wants, the Bomb gets. So she's watching, looking for that special team to deliver Twinstar gold. She's looking for that special youngster, to bring her Generation XX. And after Beaches, she's going to take the World gold. Remember that. The Bomb is watching, always. And what The Bomb wants.......The Bomb gets."

From the outset, it appeared young Brooke took The Bomb's words to heart as she came out with all guns blazing. Unfortunately for her, JMB is anything but a slow starter herself and the match swung back and forth for several minutes. Brooke's strategy seemed to center around taking out JMB's base with a series of half and full crabs and assorted leglocks never held for very long, but long enough to take a toll. After a trio of desperation dropkicks, JMB tries for the Bowen Technique but doesn't have the base to pull it off as Brooke counters and locks in a hastily/sloppily applied Sharpshooter. JMB struggles to get to the ropes to break the hold and does but is visibly in serious trouble. Outside the ring, Julie starts pounding the mat, exhorting the crowd into a J-M-B chant while Aurora tells them to shut up. Brooke covers for a long two before attempting another Sharpshooter. But as she takes her time setting it up, mocking the crowd with her own J-M-B chant, the real JMB torques her body and locks in a rather unique variation on a familiar submission maneuver (that she would later dub the Bowen Arrow). It isn't long before young Brooke is forced to give up.

Locking up in the center of the ring, into a simple headlock, irish whip sequence, it appeared Lady Caramel had Kinuye well scouted. Stopping short when Kin attempted a leapfrog put her in perfect position to catch Baby Blue and plant her with a sitout powerbomb for a quick two count. From there, the stiffness meter went up a few ticks as Caramel followed with a series of kneelifts to Kinuye's forehead, punctuating the exchange with a facebreaker. Stomps followed, as Kinuye tried to get to her feet. Playing to Jasmine and the crowd (tapping her temple in a supreme show of intelligence), she exhorted her opponent to get up. When she did, Kin got a faceful of boot, courtesy of a pretty standing dropkick. Then the first mistake was made. As Kinuye used the ropes in the corner to rise to her feet, shaking her head clear, she had just enough forethought to drop to her belly as her opponent came rushing in with a running boot. Popping up slower than usual, she used the opportunity to lay into her opponent with kicks and chops before being reversed into the corner and chopped in return. As the match progressed, Kinuye's experience began to win the day until she signaled for the Blue Dream. Hopping onto the top rope, she waited for Lady Caramel to rise...

...before Brooke Tyler appeared at ringside and shoved her off the top rope into the waiting arms of Lady Caramel, in full view of referee Isis. As Lady Caramel grabbed her fallen opponent and planted her with the Cosmopolitan Driver, the bell rang, signalling the DQ.

But sadly, that's not how it ended. After a second Cosmopolitan Driver, Brooke took hold of the limp form of Kinuye and locked in the Brooke Breaker as her father sauntered down the aisle. Releasing the 'Breaker, another woman slides into the ring to join in the festivities.

Grabbing Kinuye's limp form, Tayla smirks at her partner and, glancing around at the crowd, lifts her up in position for the TMZ.

The crowd roars as three women sprint down the aisle.

Sliding into the ring, it turns into chaos, with the six women going toe to toe. Eventually, HEART and Jana Marie attempt to irish whip Brooke & Tayla into each other. The seasoned duo locks arms and spins....into stereo dropkicks. As Lady Caramel turns around, she finds herself in the crosshairs of one fired up Native American ready to spear her out of her boots, and she quickly bails from the ring. As the House of Tradition backs up the ramp with its newest member, they stare down their victim and her stablemates, beckoning them back into the ring.

It would appear the House has grown by one.

This can't be good.

Not exactly a bad match, just not what was expected. While Amazing Lass is an extremely promising young talent, she wasn't quite up to the task of taking down Emma Bitch. The Payback put a merciful end to her attempts to do so.

Recipe for Success w/Heather B vs Affliction w/Persephone

While obviously overmatched, Gina and Keisha were made to look like future champions. Hitting all of their soon-to-be signature spots, the young team actually looked like they might pull off the upset. However, Persephone was right on both counts. Gina and Keisha learned a myriad of things from this match, perhaps the best lesson being: don't rush either member of Affliction. As Gina ran headlong into a KO Kick and Keisha was taken down into the Cox Crossface, the result ceased to be a surprise.

QAW Showcase preview - Week 2 February 2010

The House of Tradition made a big splash by simultaneously adding a new member in Lady Caramel and putting Baby Blue Kinuye Mushashibo on the shelf for an undetermined amount of time. Eric Tyler has sworn to make the House's presence felt at Showcase.

QAW Shockwave champion Olivia Diamond has promised to give someone a shot at her title at Showcase. Who will it be and how will that be decided?

HEART Saitoh, livid at the attack on her friend, has thrown down the gauntlet, daring Lady Caramel to exercise her rematch clause on Showcase. Will the newest member of the House of Tradition take her up on her offer?

Amber & Saffron Greenway, the Natural Blondes, newly named #1 Contenders to the QAW Twinstar titles, take a trip to Japan as they collide with Seek & Destroy!

After the opening pyro, the crowd reacts as With A Spirit starts up. The reaction grows as an unexpected person steps out onto the stage.

As Hannah waves to the crowd, she notices the confusion and seems to remember something and points to the stage entrance where the current reigning QAW Generation XX champion bounds out, to a rousing ovation.

Walking from one side of the stage to the other, blowing kisses and pointing at the fans, she then sprints down the ramp and slides into the ring, smoothly popping to her feet and holding her title aloft. Hopping up onto the second rope of each turnbuckle, she exhorts the crowd as Hannah makes her way to the ring. Mic in hand, Hannah signals to the crowd to bring it down some before speaking.
"Good evening, Houston. My name is Hannah and the ball of energy beside me is known as the HEART of the TR1BE and she is your QAW Generation XX champion."
HEART, wearing her title like a bandoleer with the plate strategically placed, points at it (and her heart) while smiling broadly as the crowd pops.
"She plans to keep the title for a minute. But there's one person she's particularly interested in defending it against. One person who has a guaranteed right to compete for it. One young girl with a contractual clause she can invoke at her leisure. She is the former Generation XX champion and we would like her to invoke that clause." Pausing dramatically, Hannah finishes. "Tonight."
The crowd voices their pleasure at the prospect as Hannah continues, "Y'see, it's in the best interests of all invol-" before Boom reverberates through the arena, followed a minute later by three women.

As the crowd offers up their displeasure, the three women walk down the ramp toward the ring.

Uh oh. This can't be good.

Stopping at the middle of the ramp, the Bomb takes the proffered mic from Willow and raises it to her lips, before lowering it again to glower at the ringside fans. Raising it again, she says, "Spleen, Liver, Appendix or whatever your name is, you have something The Bomb wants for the Squad. That trinket that you're so casually wearing like some kind of beauty pageant sash? Yeah, that's it. But realize that this isn't personal. I've seen your work and you do have some talent. But what the Bomb wants, the Bomb gets."
Smirking, Hannah says, "Well, if the Bomb wants this title, why doesn't the Bomb come on in this ring and take it?"
The crowd pops at the prospect before the Bomb shoots down the idea with "Uh, no. I gain nothing from beating the snot out of some girl mere months removed from clearing towels off a dojo floor. I have people to handle my light work.", which spurs Olivia to take a step forward before the Bomb's arm shoots out to stop her. As Olivia looks over at her, the Bomb tilts her head as if listening for something and the lights go down as a roar reverberates through the arena, startling everyone. The sound of wings beating is heard as the QueenScreen alights with the video of a green dragon in flight as
plays in the background. This time, it seems there's someone riding the dragon as it makes its various turns, finally coming to rest with an audible thump that seems to shake the ground. As the dragon glares malevolently at the two women in the ring, in the half light, a human figure can be seen in silhouette, walking toward the entrance. The dragon cranes its neck left and right and, as it lowers its head, the figure's hand pats it almost affectionately before the dragon roars again and fills the screen (and the entranceway) with a green smoke. As the smoke clears and a spotlight illuminates the entranceway, a young woman comes into focus.

Willow then says, "Stand on your feet and welcome your next QAW Generation XX champion, the Dragon's Daughter, Ginko Kuroda."
Ginko walks down the ramp to join the trio as Willow turns to the ring and says, "Now, about that match...." before she's interrupted by Miss Independent, followed shortly thereafter by a very familiar woman, who the crowd reacts for.

"Bomb, for a "future immortal", you sure do make a lot of mortal mistakes." As she smirks and enjoys the look of indignation on the Bomb's face, she turns her attention to the women in the ring. "Don't yuk it up too much Hannah because you made the same mistake." The crowd ooooooo's as Cheyenne continues. "Y'see, maybe you all have forgotten but I make the matches around here. I say who faces who and when. I decide who gets title shots. It's what I do. I'm The Decider."
A voice booms through the sound system, "Perhaps not for long." and a song starts up. A woman walks out onto the stage and stops, looking around the arena.

Who IS that?
I'm guessing we will find out shortly.

Staring holes into Cheyenne, the woman produces a mic and says, "Greetings QAW fans, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Abigail Romanov and in addition to being heir to the Romanov aluminum and copper empire, I am also a member of the board of directors....of Queens of American Wrestling."

OH MY GAWD!
Crikey!
Interesting.

Pausing in dramatic fashion to let the shock and implications set in, she continues, "While our esteemed General Manager likes to wave her position around like a phallus of some kind, I can tell you that the board is not happy with the promotion's performance thus far..."

Not happy?
It's only been six bloody weeks!

"Thus, in the interests of improving company performance, I will be overseeing operations. The first order of business is, there will be no Generation XX title match tonight...."

The crowd voices their displeasure, clearly.

"...in fact, the board is currently considering making that particular title exclusive to the LiveWire show. The next order of business is the Shockwave title match. I will give the champion the opportunity to choose her challenger."

Olivia grins from ear to ear and looks into the ring. Carefully considering her options, she looks at the Bomb, smiles and turns to Abigail, taking the mic from Willow. "The opponent I choose is.....Kinuye Mushashibo." The Bomb smirks as she and Willow exchange glances.

WHAT?
She can't do that! She knows Baby Blue is out of action after the assault at the hands of the House of Tradition!
Shrewd move. Perhaps cowardly, but shrewd nonetheless.

"Very well, tonight it will be Kinuye Mushashibo challenging Olivia Diamond for the QAW Shockwave title!"
"That's going to be kinda difficult to pull off, what with Kinuye in the hospital after being attacked on Wednesday."

As the crowd laughs and smirks alight the faces of Hannah and HEART, Abigail's face turns beet red. Cheyenne continues with, "Why don't you let me do my job and handle making matches since it's obvious you don't even watch the shows or know anything about the goings on here."

Visibly calming, Abigail turns a baleful glare on Cheyenne and says, "Then I guess Olivia will win by forfeiture, won't she?"

Abigail turns to leave, amidst the loud boos emanating from the crowd before stopping, turning on her heel and walking up to Cheyenne. In a clipped tone, she says to the erstwhile GM, "And if you wish to remain employed, you will keep me abreast of the shows and the goings on here." After a minute long staredown full of unconcealed hate, Abigail walks to the back.

Defiantly, Cheyenne says, "Everyone clear outta here. Oh wait, not you Ginko. You have a match against Pixie Pinwheel. And it starts, oh, how 'bout right now?"

Ginko Kuroda vs Pixie Pinwheel

Nerves gripped Ginko, being her debut match in front of the world. She spent much of the match trying to get her hands on the fleet footed flyer, often taking shots she shouldn't have. But in the end, the young joshi woman gathered her wits and, after ducking an attempted Shining Apprentice and countering it into a Gutbuster, had young Pixie tapping with her Dragon Clamp.

A video plays showing a young woman lying in a darkened hospital bed with her head tightly bandaged. Interspersed as the camera zooms in are clips of the vicious assault perpetrated on Kinuye Mushashibo by the House of Tradition. Kneelifts to the skull, with exaggerated impact sound effects. The Brooke Breaker tightly applied, with forceful shakes for emphasis. And as the camera zooms in on the patient's face, she turns toward the camera as the voiceover switches to that of Eric Tyler saying:

But more than that...the House of Tradition is about impact. Our impact, begins tonight.

The camera cuts backstage to Cheyenne sitting behind her desk in her office. She smiles at the camera and says, "I understand that many fans have been disappointed by the decision made earlier tonight. Many of you paid, in part, to see HEART, Lady Caramel, and the self-proclaimed Diamond Standard, Olivia Diamond, in action tonight. While I cannot go against the orders of a board member, I can make it right in other ways. So, tonight, in fact, our next match, will see Olivia Diamond and Lady Caramel.....in tag team action against HEART Saitoh and a partner of her choosing. It's sure to be an enjoyable matchup."

Whoa! So far three of the most promising young talents in QAW, if not the world, competing in a tag match.

I wonder who HEART picks for her partner?

We won't have long to wonder as that match is next!

After Olivia and Lady Caramel make their entrances, With A Spirit fires up and the QAW Generation XX champion comes out, pumping up the crowd. She stops, and with a finger on her chin, begins to apparently think as her music dies down. A few seconds later, the fans have their answer as Stomp Dance begins and out comes Littlefeather with an unknown woman in tow.

Native Heart w/Katie Cameron vs Lady Caramel w/Eric Tyler & Olivia Diamond w/Willow

From the outset, it was obvious that Lady Caramel wanted nothing to do with either of the women from TR1BE. Every tag she received from Olivia was returned within 30 seconds and on three occasions, she was conferring with Eric Tyler at ringside while Olivia held out for a tag.

Finally, tired of being forced to participate, Lady Caramel hopped off the ring apron and backed toward the ramp, placing her in poor position to see who was coming down the ramp right at her.

As fist meets flesh and Lady Caramel collapses, she's grabbed under the arms by Eric Tyler and dragged over the crowd barrier. As the wily vet and his charge escape through the crowd, the three TR1BEwomen give chase as Willow rolls the still form of Olivia Diamond into the ring just before the count out.

As the car speeds away, the camera pans back to show the three women of TR1BE gathering their wits and clearing the cobwebs from their heads as medical staff members come running down the hall.

"Seek & Destroy is a veteran team and they've accomplished a lot. They've beaten some of the best teams in joshi. But, and here's the thing, they haven't.....beaten......us. Toodles!"

In a match that came off far better than expected, Seek & Destroy took the fight right to the #1 contenders. Showing no fear or hesitation, the joshi duo gave the Blondes all they could handle, proving themselves credible forces in the Twinstar division. But they were undone by rage. As the volatile Saffron exchanged shots with the veteran brawler Temko in the center of the ring, a gutcheck was called for as they went blow for blow for over a minute before Temko surprisingly succumbed to the onslaught (with a Flair flop). With a primal scream, Saffron was even able to fend off the charging Huntress by tossing her over the top rope. Pointing to her sister, she hoisted Temko and Natural Selection was served once again.

The crowd reacts surprisingly positively, as the Bomb smirks into the camera.

"Bomb, tonight you take on one of the young guns of QAW, a future superstar in Amber Allen. Thoughts?"

"The Bomb is going to surprise you and all of these people when the Bomb says, I like Amber Allen. She's definitely got talent and loads of potential. At this stage, she's better than Olivia. She's got quite the future ahead of her...."

Staring coldly into the camera, the corner of her mouth begins to curl into a smile.

"....but that future isn't tonight. And while she might be better than the Diamond Standard today, Olivia has the Bomb, molding and shaping her into the best in the business. Amber has....who? Principessa? A woman who isn't even in the same galaxy as the Bomb? No, Amber is going to be limited by who she has to mentor her. Tonight, the Bomb is going to show her how little she's been taught. Gonna be a hard lesson but these things often are."

The Bomb then stares at her right hand as it rises to chin level and, tilting her head to the camera, she starts making a hand sign but before she can actually say anything, the walls of the arena shake as the crowd says, "BOOM!", drawing a snarl from the Bomb as she walks out of the shot.

Moments later, Remi is joined by two women, bemused expressions clear on their faces.

"Ladies, you've heard the comments from the Bomb. On the one hand, she acknowledges that Amber is a better worker than her charge Olivia Diamond. But on the other hand, she says that Amber has hit her ceiling while Olivia still has more room for improvement...."
BJ cuts him off by saying, "And she also insulted Principessa. Not in the same galaxy? I notice you make those remarks but don't follow them up with any attempt to prove that what you say is true. When you grow a pair and want to do so, come see me."
Amber interjects, "Listen, all this talk is boring. Yes, I am better than Olivia Diamond. One day soon, I'm going to prove it and when she taps out, I'll be the next Shockwave champion. But the Bomb claims to know more than she actually does. As someone who has worked all over the world and in every conceivable style in this business, Principessa has taught me some of the most important lessons a student can learn. Adaptability, pace, and strategy. All these things that a person who has only worked in the US and Canada is not likely to know when faced with a puro or lucha or catch opponent."
"You do have quite the impressive all-round game."
"Thank you. But there's a reason for that. Tonight, win, lose, or draw, Bomb, you're going to know you were in a fight. Tomorrow and the next day, when you get out of bed, you'll be reminded of the fight you had tonight, and like the song goes, you will remember my name."

Amber Allen w/BJ O'Neill vs Cherry Bomb

Excellent match that threatened to steal the show. From the opening bell, Amber went to work on the Bomb's left leg ("Smart strategy. Remove her base and you take away both the Popper and the Bomb"), causing the veteran to limp in short order. When it seemed like Amber had the upset sealed, the Bomb showed why she is among the best in the business. Blocking a german suplex attempt, she reversed it into a german of her own. Still limping and trying to shake some circulation into her right arm (the victim of an attempted Amber Alert she barely escaped from), she tried for her old eponymous finisher but her leg buckled, allowing for a pinfall attempt by Amber. Kicking out at two, she rolled from the ring and attempted to walk the pain off. Amber's inexperience showed as she rolled out after her opponent and chased her halfway around the ring before the Bomb slid in and, waiting for just a moment, while Amber slid in and rose to her feet, the Bomb put the kibosh on any upset talk by dropping Amber to the mat.

As her theme music plays, the Bomb slides from the ring and, backing up the ramp, she smirks at her fallen opponent as four women walk onto the stage, applauding.

Amber nods as she and BJ head off to the locker room just as Remianen approaches.
"Part of the job of being a mentor?"

"So I take it you have some words for the Bomb?"
"Words? No. She's the Bomb. Flapping her gums with empty words is what she does. She's famous for that, right? No, I'm not even thinking about her. She's not worth thinking about because I'm not facing her tonight. The person that I'm thinking about is the one I'm facing. The Aussie Assassin. She's a competitor actually worth worrying about."
"Ouch! Well, while it's true the Assassin is quite the tall order, I'm guessing there's a collision between you and the Bomb...."
"I haven't heard anyone say anything about a match. All I've heard is what galaxy I'm not in. What does that even mean? I'll cross that bridge when it's right in front of me."

Principessa vs Golden Delicious w/Autumn Gleeson

A match totally overshadowed by the semi-main, Principessa just tried to survive against the onslaught from the Aussie Assassin. While she made a serious go of it, even managing to pin Delicious for a long two count, her prospect of winning looked dim. Until a running charge by Golden was countered with a low dropkick to the knee, sending the Assassin hurtling through the ropes to ringside. Just as Principessa moved to leave the ring in pursuit, Boom! hits the arena sound system.

"So the Bomb isn't worth thinking about, eh? I'll tell you what, maybe I'll be worth thinking about after this...."

Dropping the mic, the Bomb, wild-eyed and furious, begins to make her way down the ramp. Halfway down, she stops and that unsettling smirk develops on her face as the crowd begins to react. Turning around, Principessa finds herself on the receiving end of a Melbourne Surprise.

Retrieving the discarded mic, the Bomb says, "Hey Principessa, are you hungry? Because you've just been given food for thought."

Miss Independent fires up and Cheyenne comes out.

"Awesome! I think we have a match for the next Showcase, don't you?"

The crowd erupts at the mere suggestion.

"Oh no, not the one you think. No, next week, I've got a present for the Bomb Squad and their erstwhile leader. You see, next week, the entire Squad will be in action. First, the Bomb and her prized student will face off against....Girls Gone Wrestling, Principessa & Amber."

As the crowd voices their approval, Cheyenne walks down to the ring, pointedly skirting the Bomb.

"How do the infomercial guys say it? But that's not all! Nina and your new arrival have a test of their own. Let's see how well you fare when faced with, hmm, I wonder....AFFLICTION!"

The Bomb, nonplussed, with that eerie smirk still in place, says simply, "You can't do that."

"Oh? And why is that?"

That song starts up again, followed shortly by a woman who elicits passionate boos from the crowd.

The show closes with Cheyenne in the ring staring holes into Abigail as the Board member and the Bomb smirk up at her.

After the explosive events of Showcase, LiveWire emanates live from Puerto Rico. With QAW board member Abigail Romanov intent to show she knows enough to do "this wrestling booking thing", LiveWire features an action packed show that will prove or disprove her belief. In this edition of LiveWire, all titles will be defended, by order of the board representative.

HEART Saitoh will defend her Generation XX title against Sakura Sada. If The Hawk gets a decent updraft in her wings, we could see a new champion crowned.

The Shockwave title will be on the line as "The Diamond Standard" Olivia Diamond, defends her title against Kuniko Matsura.

The Twinstar titles will be up for grabs as the Canadiennes do battle with The Commonwealth. An opportunity of a lifetime for the girls from down under, courtesy of the board representative.

And finally, in our main event, QAW World champion Saving Grace defends her title against none other than 'JMB', Jana Marie Bowen. While in line for a shot at the Shockwave title, JMB could find herself leaping right to the top of the ladder, if she can overcome the formidable challenge of "The Messiah".

As Anne Stardust went over the booking sheet for the forthcoming show with her chosen booker Leo Price in her usual taciturn manner, two women walk into her office, lightly rapping on the door.

"What is it?", Stardust asked, testily.

"Well, I just came in to hand in my notice," the brunette replied, exchanging an uneasy glance with her blond companion.

"Notice? What, are you leaving or something?"

"Yes."

"You can't leave, we have a contract."

"A verbal agreement, yes. But I was offered and accepted a written deal. Exclusive."

Anne snorts derisively before replying. "You? Who would want to sign y...."

As realization dawned, Leo Price leaned back in his chair running his hands through his hair and slowly exhaling as Anne Stardust's face turned beet red, a precursor to the explosion that followed.

"GET OUT! GET THE HELL OUTTA HERE! You disloyal tramp! I signed you off the scrap heap when Sam Strong had no use for you. I DID. And you repay me like this? WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? I SAID GET OUT!"

"Anne...", Leo Price tries to interject.

"You shut the hell up!"

As the two women turn to leave, shock and disappointment etched on their faces, the blond lingers for a moment before turning to follow her friend. Head held high, what had been a difficult decision was completely validated by the previous five minutes. Walking confidently, she smiles at her friend who offers a halfhearted grin in return. As they exit the building, the white car at the curb seems to symbolize the first steps to a new beginning. Hugging her friend, the woman begins the walk, energized by the challenges lying before her.

So, on behalf of the board of directors of Queens of American Wrestling, enjoy the show!"

Perhaps the worst match in the promotion's history, Sakura Sada tried to hit as many spots as she could, as HEART tried (and failed) to keep the match together. The HEART's Horizon put a merciful end to the proceedings.

Post-match assault

As soon as the bell rings, HEART is set upon by Ginko Kuroda. As Kuroda and Sada team up to decimate the champion, Caramel hits the speakers, followed shortly after by Lady Caramel and Jasmine who take their time walking down to the ring. Once inside, she takes a mic from a ringside attendant and, grabbing a handful of the champion's hair, hisses, "You want me to invoke my rematch clause? You got it. See you at Beaches, precious!" With that, she slams HEART's head to the mat and begins raining punches down on her, before security hits the ring to break it up.

While Kuniko's fervor at this unexpected opportunity carried her through much of the match, to the surprise of no one, Olivia retains with a neat Diamond Cutter off a hotshot setup.

Persephone runs into Abigail backstage and requests a match, tonight, for the best tag team in the company. Abigail scoffs at that notion and tells Persephone to prove to her that her team is the best in the company. RIGHT NOW!

Recipe for Success w/Heather B vs Affliction w/Persephone

In a very good match, Affliction put on a clinic while making their opponents look like bonafide contenders. After spinning out of an attempted Fame Dropper, Michelle caught the charging Keisha and locked in the Crossface for the submission victory.

Abigail comes out and mentions how she read once that the best tag teams of the past often worked multiple matches per night. "Let's see how you measure up," she says, as Natural Born Killaz hits.

Seek & Destroy w/Krystyna vs Affliction w/Persephone

Another sterling effort from both teams as the Huntress and Ikuko isolated Michelle for most of the match. After twelve minutes of nonstop abuse, with quick tags keeping her off balance, Michelle ducks under a double clothesline attempt and rolls away to make the hot tag to Shooter. Housecleaning commenced, followed shortly thereafter by a KO Kick and the pinfall victory.

Saving Grace is interviewed by Yuko Okui. She talks up her opponent for tonight as a young upstart perhaps destined to be a world champion in the future. "But that future is quite a ways away. Tonight, you will receive salvation, whether you want it.....or not.".

Better than expected performance by two young teams who laid it all on the line. With the champions showing that they can fly just as well as the challengers, Jessie and Lexi were thrown off their gameplan. It wasn't long before Lexi was airborne out of the ring and Jessie fell victim to the Canadian Crash.

As #41 starts up, the crowd reacts and scattered chants of "J-M-B" can be heard, soon followed by the woman herself. Looking nervous but focused, she sprints down the ramp and slides into the ring and pops to her feet before letting off a single fist pump.

Savior starts, as the lights go down, and the members of the Coven all emerge, with one notable absentee. The lights flash one time before going almost dark and in the half light, a figure is seen standing behind JMB. As the lights come up and crowd notices, the roar of warning they sound prompts Jana Marie to turn around.....right into a knife edge chop. And we're underway....

An excellent match in which Saving Grace really put her opponent on the map. Taking her fury before throwing it back at her, had the audience on the edge of their seats. With several false finishes, the match was decided purely on experience as Grace reversed the Bowen Technique into Redemption for the hard fought pinfall victory.

After the bell, as Grace impassively stares down her opponent leaving the ring, offering a slight nod of respect to her younger foe, the place erupts as Oye! reverberates throughout the arena, which can only mean one thing. The Latina Sensation herself, Joanne Rodriguez comes out to a thunderous ovation. Draping her arm across JMB's shoulders, she whispers something to her before raising her arm, to the delight of the crowd. Turning to stare daggers at her opponent at Beaches, J.Ro mouths some choice words before making the familiar belt motion, drawing a scoff from the champion as we go off the air!

Stacy is interrupted as the lights go out and flicker back to half life as the entryway fills with smoke and Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me begins to play. As the quartet who comprise the Coven step out onto the stage, the lights begin to dance eerily, setting the smoke into strange patterns that seem to envelope the four women. After a minute of staring out over the assembled crowd, and Vixxen baring her fangs at the cameraman, Sienna begins to walk down the ramp, followed by Geena and Vixxen flanking the QAW World champion, Saving Grace.

“I'm betting they're not coming down here to sell the fans Girl Scout cookies?”
“I think that would be a safe bet.”

As the four women enter the ring, Sienna calls for a microphone before pacing as the music begins to die down. But, to her visible dissatisfaction, as the music goes down, the crowd volume rises, with the fans voicing their displeasure at the sight in front of them. Each time Sienna brings the mic to her lips, the crowd grows louder. Eventually, she snaps.

“SHUT UP! Heathens, lost souls, except you....”

She points to a fan wearing a black shirt with 'I'M SAVED BY GRACE' in Gothic lettering on the front.

“HEAR ME! I am dismayed. For the last two weeks, all anyone's talking about is some “power struggle” and I don't understand why. There is only one power in this company and she stands behind me as the QAW World champion. You malcontents talk about some general manager or board member when none of that matters. What matter is, you all come here seeking salvation, seeking redemption, seeking a purpose for your menial lives. You know as well as we do that there is only one person who can save you. One person who can redeem you. ONE woman who can give your life the purpose you long for. That woman is your....no, that woman is OUR savior. She is the one with the power of a celestial. She is the one with the speed of thought. She is the one with the agility of energy itself. She is your QAW World champion, Saving Grace.”

Sienna hands the mic to the champion as the crowd lets the boobirds go in full voice. As the champion raises the mic to her lips, I'm Only Happy When It Rains starts up, interrupting the proceedings. After a long minute, out comes the expected....

“Promo. I really felt your passion. Now, I take exception to what you said. What we do is important. Every ship needs a driver...”
“Captain”
“Captain. It just so happens that Cheyenne and I have come to an agreement. I was both surprised and encouraged by the depth of knowledge this young woman has. She's been following this business most of her life and you can tell that by how she goes on and on and on talking about its history. I can respect that. But while she is intelligent and obviously very attractive, she is also very young. And the problem with the young is, they're defiant. They don't respect authority. So, I'm going to let her do what she was hired to do, on a probationary basis...”
“What? Probation? We didn't....”
“...with all final decisions coming from me...”
“...you said I'd have full control....”
“I changed my mind, honey. I'm not giving you the keys to this billion dollar car until you've proven you can be a good captain.”
“DRIVER!”
“Whatever. So young general manager, what's our first match going to be?”
Cheyenne leans in and whispers to Abigail who says, “Try again. Nobody wants to see that.” Cheyenne then stomps off backstage, exasperated.
“You see? Defiance. That will have to change. But just to prove how right I am and how wrong she is, let's see that match she wanted. It's going to be Suzanne Brazzle....against Brooke Dunn.”

“I don't think the board member knows our fans. Brooke Dunn is quite the up & comer.”

“Seeing young Dunn against a capable, accomplished veteran like Brazzle will tell a lot about her desire and future prospects.”

“I agree with the legend.”

Brooke Dunn w/Aurora vs Suzanne Brazzle w/Hannah

Never one to take an opponent lightly, Brazzle was cautious in locking up with Dunn. But once the opening pleasantries were dispensed with, the match pace picked up in a hurry. While obvious to the trained eye that Brooke was being led through the match, the fans ate it up. After putting her opponent down with a swinging neckbreaker, Brooke begins playing to the crowd. As Brazzle slowly gets to her feet, Brooke runs at her, looking for the Well Dunn but mid-move, Brazzle shows her technical acumen by countering and reversing the move. Holding Brooke suspended in the air, the fans went nuts, knowing what was next. Miracle Connection and the pinfall.

Jessie McVeigh w/Ceri vs Ginko Kuroda

From the start of the match, Jessie's strategy was to stay out of Ginko's reach. Hit & run attacks, using a variety of springboard moves, had Ginko down. But it didn't last long. In a momentum shifting turn, Ginko stepped out of the way of an attempted dropkick and seized control of the match. A Wyrmkinde and the pinfall soon followed.

Pilgrim starts up, heralding the imminent arrival of “The Hardcore Icon” Eric Tyler and the House of Tradition. As Eric leads his charges toward the ring, Lady Caramel makes a show of putting a hand to an ear and exhorting the crowd to boo louder. As they enter the ring, Eric signals for a microphone, unbuttons his suit jacket, and begins to speak.
"I have said on several occasions that the House of Tradition is about respect. It's about impact. These young ladies have made quite the impact thus far, wouldn't you say?"

The crowd boos lustily as the video of their brutal assault on Baby Blue is replayed.

"In the coming weeks, you'll see the ranks of the House swell with young women eager to make an impact. But make no mistake, this will be no open recruiting call. No, only the best and brightest will have the honor, the privilege, of studying at the most prestigious school in this business."

With a self-satisfied smirk, he turns to hand the mic to a ringside attendant until a hand grabs his arm, stopping him. Tayla Martin looks at him and can be seen mouthing, “I have something to say”. Eric hands the mic to his adopted niece and steps back.

"Something's been bothering me for the last few weeks. Uncle Eric, you say the House is about respect. It's about impact. You've been in this business for decades. You've won titles allllll across these United States AND Canada and even done a few tours of Japan with Warrior Engine. Hell, some people say the East Coast Wars were won...because of you."

"This is true."

You've fought for this business. You've bled for this business, all over the world.

That's true too.

"That, to me, makes you a legend. So why, pray tell, is it that every time this show opens, someone who never left the safety and confines of her home country until the END of her career, why is that person regarded as a legend?"

With that, Tayla's gaze settles upon Thunder Hike at the announce table.

"Please, I'd like to hear why Thunder Hike is “legendary”."

As Thunder removes her headset and hesitantly makes her way into the ring, the crowd begins a “THUN-DER” chant.

Now, you can tell me. What puts you in the same class as my Uncle Eric?

Tayla, now wait...

I have seen your uncle's work. He was brutal yet eerily cunning. Always looking for that one opening that would end the match....

You didn't answer the question so I'll ask it again. Maybe you're losing your hearing in your old age. What makes you a legend like Eric Tyler?

It is not a title I bestowed on myself, nor is it one I demand be used in ref....

The arena reverberates with what sounds like a gunshot, as Tayla Martin slaps the taste out of Thunder Hike's mouth. Taking the mic as Tayla goes nose to nose with the joshi legend, Brooke says, very quietly, "We ask you a question and you launch into riddles and tangents. The question is simple: What makes you a legend like my father?"

Glancing at the crowd, the Mistress of the Concrete Knot narrowed her eyes and, taking one step forward, looked Brooke Tyler in the eyes and simply said, "Because, like your father, I was...am, the best in the world at what I do."

Visibly cowed, Brooke Tyler responded in the only way she knew how: by slamming the microphone into the veteran's face, spurring her stablemates to begin the inevitable pounding. As Thunder Hike fought back gamely, she was overcome by the numbers game, but not before a double leg takedown on Lady Caramel. But as the beatdown intensified, the crowd reacts as a solitary figure walks out onto the stage. As her image fills the QueenScreen, Tayla Martin is the first to catch a glimpse, quickly signaling her cohorts who turn to face the person brave enough to interrupt the festivities.

Beckoning her to come down to the ring, practically licking their chops at the opportunity to take out two international legends, their stance only changes slightly as another woman walks out to stand beside her mentor.

Nonplussed, the members of the House of Tradition continue to goad the pair to come down to the ring, as their erstwhile leader looks on with a curious expression on his face. That expression turns to one of concern as more women come out from the back to stand beside the legend.

But the crowd erupts as the last two women make their presence known, stepping forward to flank the Sensational One.

Noticing the hesitation apparent in the trio in the ring, a small smile creases the face of Sensational Ogiwara. Glancing quickly to her left and her right, she gives a barely perceptible nod before she and the members of Affliction race down the ramp to the ring. As the brawl breaks out, the women pair off and Lady Caramel finds herself squaring off with the woman often described as the greatest women's wrestler of all time. As Shooter Jaime Quine blocks an attempted spinning backfist from Tayla Martin, she looks to counter with her patented KO Kick before finding her opponent squirting from the ring. Michelle Cox ducks a right hand from Brooke Tyler and counters with a German Suplex that sends her adversary skidding from the ring right onto her father's feet. Lady Caramel, eager to prove herself against the very best, begins throwing bombs at the older woman, hoping to overwhelm her with offense. But Ogiwara is far too seasoned for such simple tactics to work and after blocking some shots, finds an opening and lights her young adversary up with a single stiff knife edge chop that stops her in her tracks. The sound of a firecracker reverberates through the arena as a second chop lands, followed by a third and a fourth before Lady Caramel is able to escape from the ring. Holding her chest, she seeks to escape via the ramp but finds the way blocked by a very familiar face.

Hands up and begging off, Lady Caramel bursts over the barricade and into the crowd. As HEART goes to give chase, she's stopped by a strong, authoritative voice calling her name. As the House of Tradition flees through the crowd in different directions, HEART looks at the woman in the ring currently supporting her longtime friend and tag team partner, and rushes to help her. The crowd reacts as the young women on the stage offer deep bows to the legends in the ring and Michelle and Jaime each raise an arm of Sensational Ogiwara and Thunder Hike.

That was a totally uncalled for and unprovoked attack.

We'll try to get news on Thunder's condition as soon as it's available.

In the meantime, we're joined here on commentary by The Lizard Queen herself, Sakurako Kagawa. Kagawa-san, you know these two legends very well. Your reaction to this heinous attack?

I believe those young girls made a grave mistake. Thunder and Ogiwara are very prideful and, even in retirement, should not be toyed with.

I understand Remi is standing by backstage with one of the participants of our next match.

Melody, you're set to face someone you're very familiar with in Emma Bitch. How will this match differ from the others you two have had?

I don't think it will. Whenever Emma and I lock up one on one, it's always a war. It's kill or be killed, and neither of us wants to be dead. Each of us tries to find a way to come out with the win. Tonight, we'll see who wants it more. Our first meeting in a QAW ring probably won't be our last. I'm just looking to start 1-0 against her.

As her theme music starts and the crowd reacts, Melody and Gabriela head down the hall toward the Basilisk position and are soon replaced on the interview set by another pair of women.

Melody w/Gabriela Ortega vs Emma Bitch w/Clare South

Right from the bell, these two women went right for each other. Their familiarity was apparent as they fell right into their traditional roles. With Emma dominating and Melody expertly playing the babyface-in-peril, the match proceeded in textbook fashion. Each time Melody attempted a comeback, she found the momentum door slammed unceremoniously in her face by a power move. A powerslam got the Bitch a long two. A vicious clothesline scored another near fall. But the tables turned around the 13th minute when the Bitch began to tire. A tilt-a-whirl attempt was countered into a DDT which left both women down. Melody rose to her feet by the count of 8, just a second before Emma, and ran right into a big boot. With her opponent down, Emma signaled to the crowd that it was over. Wearily grabbing Melody, she hoisted her up for the Payback. But wily vet that she is, Melody managed to slip out the back and, in the moment of confusion for the Bitch, got her up and over with the Melody Maker. Referee Isis was in perfect position to count the pinfall.

Winner: Melody

Whoa! That was a surprise!

The Bitch is none too pleased at that result.

It was cunning that produced victory. Cunning and superior stamina.

A video plays of a hospital room with a woman laying in bed, her head heavily bandaged. The sleeping form of JMB can be seen in a bedside chair. As the camera slowly pans, someone enters the room with a chart and begins taking notes from the machines assembled around the bed.

The nurse then smiles at the results and takes a blanket from beneath the bed and drapes it over JMB before leaving the room. As the door closes slowly, the camera pans around and begins to zoom in on the figure lying in the bed. As the figure's head fills the shot, almond shaped eyes pop open and the startled look that initially clouded them, turns to sheer, unbridled anger as they stare directly into the camera.

Eerie.

If that is Baby Blue, I believe she has every right to be angry.

No doubt about it. But we're hoping she comes out of this okay, with no lasting effects.

Whoa, quite the matchup. I'm being told the newly named team of Blood & Gold, consisting of Vixxen and Geena the Warrior Princess is set to face Affliction. And that match, is next!

Blood & Gold w/Sienna DeVille vs Affliction w/Persephone

A surprisingly fast paced match that really saw Geena shine and show her versatility. More than the stiff shots described in admiring terms by the Lizard Queen, she stood her ground and went toe to toe with both members of Affliction, with Vixxen making the necessary saves when she got into trouble. In the end, it was during one of these saves that the match turned. As Sienna distracted the ref, Vixxen ran in to deliver the Going Down Below to Michelle. But the young vet managed to turn just so, lining the would be vampire up for a clean KO Kick from her partner. As Vixxen rolled from the ring, much to the chagrin of the screeching Sienna DeVille, the team of Shooter Jaime and Michelle chose this moment to debut a new finisher, the Sickness Driver (tandem brainbuster suplex).

Winners: Affliction

That was some match.

That's some sick looking finisher!

I enjoyed the intensity of the match. You could tell that both teams wanted badly to win.

I'm being told our main event for tonight will be a clash between the Bomb Squad and TR1BE as Nina the....uh, sanity impaired, ballerina, takes on the Latina Sensation herself, Joanne Rodriguez!

I don't think Nina can win this one. J.Ro is so focused right now, I don't see how anyone could beat her.

The cameras cut backstage to a locker room where one woman is raging.

As she paces and kicks around a wastebasket, three other women look on, glancing at each other every so often.

As Nina grabs a coatrack with evil intent, Willow stops her. "Nina, wait, stop. Look, you don't have to beat her." As a look of utter confusion clouds Nina's face, Willow continues. "Here's the deal. What do you think would happen if J.Ro wasn't physically able to compete at Beaches? Let me tell you what would happen. Our esteemed general manager and board member would need to scramble to find a big name to replace her in the match...."
Catching on to her manager's line of thinking, Olivia pipes up, "And there is no bigger name than...."
Smirking on cue, the fourth woman simply says, "The Bomb."
"But why don't I have to beat her?", Nina asks, clueless.
"You don't have to beat her. You just have to beat her up. Real bad," the Bomb replies.
"So beat her up but don't beat her?"
"You can beat her if you want. Just make sure she doesn't make it to Beaches."
"I can do that!" Nina says, obviously chuffed.

Nina the Psycho Ballerina vs Joanne Rodriguez w/Mercedes Gimenez

After an entrance that had the fans on their feet, J.Ro enters the ring....to a complete and utter dismantling ambush. Nina was a whirling dervish, never giving J.Ro a chance to recover or catch her breath. Running roughshod over J.Ro, Nina found herself on the wrong side of the ref when she went to ringside and grabbed a chair. Snapping it shut, she tried to enter the ring with it only to have referee Isis stop her, much to the crowd's delight. Pacing outside the ring in frustration, apparently arguing with herself, proved to be her undoing. Getting her wits about her, the Latina Sensation showed why she is still one of the best flyers in the world, hitting Nina with a corkscrew moonsault plancha on the outside, bringing the crowd to its feet. With the two women gingerly rising to their feet, they both slide into the ring and, using the ropes, rise to their feet and commence trading European uppercuts. As Nina reels from one, J.Ro hits the ropes and hits a series of clotheslines before busting out into a salsa dance, signaling the end is near. As Nina slowly rose to her feet, the kick to the gut brought on the double underhook which a flip completed into the J-Rocker and the pinfall.

A meeting breaks with one man saying to the departing group, "This must go down perfectly. There can be no mistakes, are we clear?". His question is answered with murmurs and nods as the men and women talking among themselves as they departed.

"Must be nice, having exclusive use of the arena. Let's you plan out crazy stunts like this."

As Remianen smirked while he turned toward the familiar voice, a thought hit him.

"Shouldn't you be in Japan? You have a tour starting soon, don't you?"
