Emergence Level - Night #3 Preview

WLW returns to the Gunma hall next Tuesday for another edition of their Emergence Level Tour, promising their fans the most entertaining wrestling in Japan today. Response from the tour so far has been impressive, and World Level Wrestling appears to be pulling out all the stops to change their fortunes.

The 505 will take on The Black House Nation, as Weapon X takes on American Machine. Americana is still seething over his loss to Rogue Matsuo SF, and will be looking for redemption. Meanwhile, the methodically chaotic Insane Machine will be looking to stave off potential challenger Toyokuni Hardcore, who has been without his coveted Hard core Title for quite some time.

The Black House Nation has formally accepted a contract for a match between Mokuami Maita and Koki Ishibashi, in anticipation for their tag title match at Rebirth Level. Ishibashi is still seething from the post match assault from the Black House, and will be looking for revenge for his parnter Koji Kojima, who is recovering from his injuries. But Maita is a seasoned technical specialist, and has the ingenious Mr. Miwa in his corner. Whoever wins this match gives their team momentum going for the rest of the tour.

The Showstealer Champion has a chance to make his way to the main event, as Hell Monkey finally challenges Universal Champion Magnum Kobe following his team’s victory from the tour opener. While the bout is non-title a big win over the champion will almost assuredly earn him a future title shot. Meanwhile, Magnum Kobe wants to prove that his spot in the company is deserved; since his pinfall loss in the tag match he has seemingly become obsessed with proving that the company revolves around him. He’ll get his chance, as the tour continues its road to Rebirth Level.

-->Emergence Level Tour - Night #3<--

Another eventful night for WLW, as once again they were in the Gunma hall showcasing their talent.

Magnum Kobe opened the show once again, bragging about putting Emerald Angel on the shelf for this event and claiming that he will become the greatest Universal champion in history when all is said and done. He then goes on to taunt his opponent for the night, claiming that the unitless Hell Monkey will not fare well against the reall champions, and that he should run along with his lesser title in toe. That brought out the showstealer champion, itching for a fight, and the Hell monkey chased the universal champion out of the ring. Magnum walked up the ramp, showing bravado but also fear of the dangerous competitor.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Weapon X defeated American Machine in 7:44 when Rogue Matsuo SF defeated Americana by submission with a CTU Control Technique. Insane Machine was doing his usual routine, with nothing new to show for it, coming off a bit stale to those in attendance. It will be interesting to see how they freshen up the character. Much of the match hinted at a future Toyokuni Hardcore/Insane Machine match, as Toyokuni has been itching for a rematch.

A beautiful woman, identified as Lady Yumako is came to the ring, congratulating Matsuo on the victory. She then promised that his days of being the Tap Out Champion were soon coming to an end. When the masked milita-man asked who would opposed him, Yumako simply stated her client who would debut shortly. Matsuo laughed off the threat, running down his credentials to her, failing to notice the streak of blue dazzlers streaming to the ring until it was too late. A mysterious man in a dazzling blue shirt and shades hit the ring and took out Matsio with the technical grace of a veteran. The mystery mand removed his sunglasses to reveal Kenko Takemitsu, who officially challenged Rogue Matsuo to a title match. Both Yumako and Takemitsu escaped before the rest of the Black House hit the ring, but the message was sent. Takemitsu was here in WLW. And Takemitsu wants the title.

Koki Ishibashi was a little short in his attempt to gain his revenge, when he failed to take out Black House Member Mokuami Maita. Their bout had a good crowd and good action, and many thought Koki Ishibashi would shift the momentum over to the side of Unity Two. However, Mokuami Maita is a credible athlete and defeated Koki Ishibashi in 12:58 by pinfall with an Assassination Attempt following interference from his Black House stalwarts.

After a match, The Black House continued their viscious assault Koki Ishibashi until Koji Kojima ran out to make the save. It is clear that the issused between the two teams is beginning to run deep.

Backstage, Magnum Kobe is cuts a promo, taunting Hell Monkey and saying he doesn’t deserve to be in the same ring as the Universal Champion. Taka Kajiwara then stands and announces that he has spoken to the board of directors, and that in an effort to bring more excitement to the match, they have decided to make it a Tokyo Death match. Magnum Kobe is shocked and appalled.

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Magnum Kobe defeated Hell Monkey in 17:35 when Hell Monkey was pinned and could not beat a ten count. While he couldn’t get the win, Hell Monkey looked competent with the Universal Champion, on more than one occasion having Magnum Kobe on the ropes. Eventually however, Kobe proved why he was the ace of WLW, and took out the masked madman with a Kobe Bomb through a table.

After the match, Magnum Kobe grabed the microphone and stated that this would be the fate of Emerald Angel at the Rebirth Level event. He tried to gather up Hell Monkey for one more Kobe Bomb, when Emerald Angel made an appearance and chased the Universal Champion from the ring. Magnum Kobe leaves his belt in order to escape, and Emerald Angel lifts the title above his head, sending a message to the Universal Champion - Emerald Angel isn't going anywhere.

A fun night for WLW, though not up to par with their previous events. Hopefully the next show will be to the level of their previous success.
