<strong><span style="font-size:24px;">Backstory...</span></strong></p><p> </p><p>

It all started at a New Years Eve 2009 party in London. The owner of TCW Tommy Cornell took his wife and child back home to England for the holidays as a way to relax and get his thoughts back together after a rough financial year for the company brought about by injuries wrecking storylines. He found himself unable to enjoy his Christmas holiday as he could not stop brainstorming, trying to come up with a way to revive the momentum his company had lost. After all, despite all of his hard work SWF still ruled the wrestling industry. In an attempt to show him a good time, Jennifer Cornell dragged him to a premier New Years Eve party. With a fake smile he shook hands and received compliments even humoring people by listening to their creative ideas. After the New Years was brought in he found a way to escape the crowd and head outside where he met the man that would change TCW…</p><p> </p><p>

“You know, my money and mind could put you out of business in a year”</p><p> </p><p>

Cornell grimaced, preparing himself when he turned around to face another critic. However when he turned around he was shocked to see the man standing next to him, Dunton Hall.</p><p> </p><p>

<span>http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/DuntonHall.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p>

Hall is considered by many to be one of the smartest men in Western civilization. His creative mind has made him a rich man and there seems to be nothing he cannot create gold out of. Hall has also stated publicly his fondness of wrestling and has often criticized the direction of industries, on top of which he has teased opening his own promotion. Whether his comments to Cornell were made in fun or in threat, he was still a man Cornell made appoint to listen to.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Hall’s comments were made in fun as an icebreaker and the two talked for two hours outside isolated. They covered a number of topics including having a family, living in America, and who is The Stig.</p><p> </p><p>

Hall apparently struck some sort of business deal with Cornell as within the next week he returned back to the states with Cornell and began working at TCW Headquarters in a conference room with the shades closed. There was no official announcement made or public appearance, the only evidence of Hall being there was him being listed in official government documents as a “Creative Consultant”</p><p> </p><p>

While there were no drastic visible changes to TCW or its product, the changes were happening below the surface. Within two months of Hall joining TCW, two developmental companies were created, Wrestling Premier League and Rocky Mountain Wrestling. TCW also signed over 40 developmental contracts. With no one in the company having true answers to what was going on in development, it did not take long for rumors of Hall being in charge of TCW’s developmental to surface but with the company not confirming or denying people accepted him as head of development and left it at that.</p><p> </p><p>

In October 2010 information finally leaked out. Hall was not just in charge of development, he was head mastermind behind a giant year long project that had only Cornell above him. This project was going to be unique, something this world had never seen before and would be what TCW needs to get past SWF.</p><p> </p><p>

Speculation was rampant but no one was able to even scratch the surface of Hall’s idea, all people knew was it involved development at some level. All of this changed in December when TCW applied for patents and began negotiations for a second TV show. The media and community finally made progress when a disregarded fax found in Cornell’s trash can by a crazed fan surfaced, with key notes reading…</p><p> </p><p>

Official TCW Press Release

January 1st, 2011

This Friday TCW will debut a new show “TCW Breakout”. The show will be a brand new concept never before seen in the Cornellverse. The show will be comprised of 12 new TCW workers being individually paired with one of 12 established TCW stars. Over the next year, each week the workers will compete in various match types with the winner(s) receiving one (1) point. Each month at TCW’s PPV workers with the lowest score will compete with the loser being eliminated from the competition. The eliminated wrestlers will still be able to compete on the show to learn from their mentors and gain experience in matches. Later in the competition the eliminated workers will compete against each other with the winner being allowed back in the competition. Other competition rules will become available as they come up.

The winning rookie will receive a North American title shot and the winning mentor will receive a TCW World title opportunity. Stay tuned for announced TCW Breakout roster.

Colossus

Colossus (AKA Hell's Bouncer) is a massively intimidating man, standing 6'11, weighing in at well over 300lbs, and possessing a fine muscular physique. He was discovered working as a bouncer in Pittsburgh by Nemesis, who liked his look so much that he hired him to come and work for DAVE. Debuting in late 2004 he spent the next two years as an "enforcer for hire" for the heels in the company, while in the meantime he was training hard with Shawn Gonzalez to prepare him for his eventual debut as a wrestler. Unfortuantely DAVE went out of business soon after his in-ring debut, but he followed his mentor Gonzalez south to the FCW promotion in Puerto Rico in order to continue to improve as a wrestler. He has since established himself as a big force in FCW, and was the first man to beat Puerto Rican Power for the company's main title. Upon signing with TCW he was given the Colossus name after he was unwilling to sign away rights to the character/name of Hell's Bouncer.

Rahmel Goode is a huge dude, standing 6'8 and weighing in at well over 300lbs of solid muscle, and one of the legit toughest men in wrestling. Prior to becoming a wrestler he was genuinely the chief bodyguard \ protector of Australian Prime Minister Martyn Whitham, which explains why nobody ever tried any assassination attempts. Technically, he was the first Australian signed to TCW, a fact he makes sure everyone knows.

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

Roger "Smooth" Cage is a wrestler from California who is best known for his work with New York City Wrestling. Debuting in 2004, he was originally known as "The Ladies' Man" Roger Dodger, and worked a slick prima donna gimmick which he played well enough to hide his flaws in the ring. Despite the great character, Roger failed to rise above midcard status in the promotion. Cage has gotten significantly over in development as he as been free to do what he does best, talk.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/NathanMcKenzie.jpg

Nathan McKenzie

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

"Big Mac" Nathan McKenzie is a 300lb powerhouse, an athletically gifted brawler from the east coast of Australia. He joined APW to be part of their initial roster in 2007, and quickly established himself as one of the dominant wrestlers in the promotion, using his power and surprising agility to blitz through smaller midcarders and gain a reputation as a vicious machine. To their credit, APW ran with it, and McKenzie's streak took him all the way to the company's main title in 2008. He has since established himself as a genuine headline act. Still developing as a worker, if McKenzie can compliment his physical gifts with an understanding of the basics of wrestling then he should be a main event presence for a very long time. Another Australian prospect he has come to odds with Rahmel Goode as both seem to fit the same mold and heritage and Goode’s persistence of telling people he signed first.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/RipperLeStat_alt.jpg

Ripper LeStat

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

Ripper LeStat is a rookie brawler who has a lot of potential, especially as he is quite charismatic. He is a natural vicious heel, and with experience and more training, he could become a big star. LeStat was pure Dunton Hall signing as he has been a fan of his in England for over a year now. While he plays a vampiric like character, Hall has been careful not to label him as a vampire and the writers make sure to stay clear of calling him one to stay away from a "gimmicky" impression.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/StevenParker.jpg

Steven Parker

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="

type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

Steven "The Future" Parker is a young Canadian grappler who is just starting to make waves. Trained by Cliff "Dark Angel" Wilson, Parker spent the first few months of his career as a masked jobber in NOTBPW. In 2005 he became MAW's very first signing, where under Rip Chord's guidance he quickly blossomed into a fantastic prospect. In the summer of 2006 he won the MAW championship, cementing his place as one of the brightest young talents around. His title reign was a good one, as he showcased his versatility by getting good matches out of a variety of different challengers. By the summer of 2007 Rip Chord had assessed Parker as being ready to move on to bigger challenges, and he was soon on his way to the newly formed Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling to join Mitch Naess' revolution. Outside of wrestling, Steven is known to date Canadian valet Dawn "Persephone" Coombs. Parker is a man who can do it all and is clearly one of the more refined prospects. While Cliff Wilso was his trainer, it has been said his lack of American contacts is what has held him back.

Jacob Jett

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kStgkj27H1U&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kStgkj27H1U&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

"The Amazing" Jacob Jett is one of the most exciting prospects in the entire of North America. At the age of just 19, he burst onto the scene with Canadian Charisma Championship Combat, and soon had fans buzzing with his blend of charisma and stunning daredevil antics. They bestowed the nickname "Amazing" on him, and they certainly weren't wrong, as very few people can pull out so many incredible moments in a match. Jett could be a huge star in the making.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/MauriceJackson.jpg

Maurice Jackson

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7z2lJhaFds&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7z2lJhaFds&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

Maurice Jackson is an extremely promising young talent from Sydney, Australia. The 6'5, 275lb former rugby player is a natural athlete, a hard worker, and has charisma to burn; all of which adds up to make him potentially one of the big stars of the "new era" of Australian wrestling. Jackson appears to be one of those workers who has it all now that he has improved under TCW. He has the size, charisma, and finally in ring ability to be a star. Poking fun at Goode and McKenzie, he likes to say he is the best looking Australian to sign with TCW.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/SwoopMcCarthy_alt5.jpg

Swoop McCarthy

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBjEcAPybsE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBjEcAPybsE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

Swoop McCarthy is perhaps the brightest prospect in the entire Australian wrestling scene. The burly 280lber isn't anything spectacular in the ring, although he is a solid enough professional, but what really separates him from the rest of the pack is his off-the-charts charisma and ability to connect with the fans. He was already heading to the top of the Melbourne Wrestling Federation when he became part of the new APW promotion, and the switch has done nothing to halt his meteoric rise. He was the first ever APW Australian champion, and in 2009 went on to become the APW Commonwealth champion too. He is now firmly entrenched at the top of the promotional ladder. While Swoop and Maurice are very similiar Swoop is said to not only be the New Era of Australia, but of the entire industry. For years black wrestlers have been held down by major promotions and many believe Swoop will be too big of a draw for even old political board members to keep down.

Nick Nuclear

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLJpKsXELSk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iLJpKsXELSk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

"The Radioactive Wrecking Machine" Nick Nuclear is a young worker who has a bright future, as he has both a natural ability to work a crowd and decent wrestling skills. He also has a unique look that helps him stand out from the crowd. He got his first taste of fame working for New York City Wrestling, where he became a cult favourite under the name Nevada Nuclear, and that popularity convinced the SWF to sign him to a development contract in 2006. After a three year stay working for their feeder league, RIPW, he was called up to the main roster, where he became their resident super hero, Captain Atomic. With SWF owning the rights to the character, he uses the name Nick Nuclear in TCW. Nick was stolen from SWF in October and while Hall was against using him in Breakout, Cornell believed having a former young SWF star would help the publicity.

Remmy Skye

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HayjUnLyB3Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HayjUnLyB3Y&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

"Psyche Out" Remmy Skye is a high flier from Georgia, who has become something of a cult figure with Coastal Zone Championship Wrestling in recent years. Debuting in 2004 while just 20 years old, Skye quickly won over the fans with a combination of his oddly hypnotic charisma and his insane daredevil moves. Skye is often referred to as the "King Of The Ladder Match", which is down to the fact that he has been involved in some incredible ladder matches over the years, especially with Fox Mask and ex-Zoner Plague. He became CZCW champion for the first time in 2008, unseating James Prudence, and is now firmly established as a major headliner and one of the top faces for the promotion. Skye was set to stay with CZCW forever until Dunton Hall visited him personally and convinced him TCW was worth getting clean and showing up on time for.

Mainstream Hernandez

<object width="27" height="25"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgwwEk9_BdY&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgwwEk9_BdY&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="27" height="25"></embed></object>

James "Mainstream" Hernandez is a charismatic Canadian high flier with a huge amount of potential. He was a member of the initial MAW roster when the company first began, although he was originally a tag team wrestler, working alongside Erik Strong as Call To Action. That lasted only a few months before Mainstream went solo. As well as improving as a worker under Rip Chord's expert eye, Hernandez found a lot of success as a singles wrestler in the promotion; winning both of the first two Rip Chord Invitational tournaments and the Mid Atlantic Championship title, cementing his place as the brightest prospect that MAW had. In 2007, at Rip Chord's urging, Hernandez headed off to test his newly-polished skills in the wider wrestling world, first heading for the FCW promotion in Puerto Rico. Although Hernandez is Canadian he has played the Latin hot throb role well and as long as teenage girls are tuning in just for you, it is hard for companies to fire you.

Tommy Cornell

What else can be said about Cornell? Owner, main eventer, legend. Enough said.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/WolfHawkins.jpg

Wolf Hawkins

2010 turned out to be Wolf Hawkins break out year. Many were worried once The Syndicate storyline was done Hawkins potential would be done as well but once he separated form Cornell’s shadow he was able to shine on his own as a young ****y heel. While he may not have the most experience, he definitely has the drive to have his rookie win.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/EddiePeak_alt2.jpg

Eddie Peak

Peak was also one of the many breakouts of 2010 mainly due to his feud with Vessey which lasted nearly the entire year. Peak has turned into quite the snake character doing whatever it takes to win so he naturally jumped on the chance to “mentor” someone to get a title shot.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/thRickLaw_alt20.jpg

Rick Law

While Law did not become a main eventer until late in 2010 it seems the fans have finally focused on him instead of his cop nature. He remains one of the most dangerous workers willing to cause any amount of violence to win making him a deadly opponent.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/TroyTornado.jpg

Troy Tornado

Tornado spent most of the year teaming with Sammy Bach as “Wicked Feedback” winning the tag titles and making them a Main Event worthy title. Bach suffered an injury in November making this a great opportunity to see if Tornado can work well on his own.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/AmericanBuffalo_alt1.jpg

American Buffalo

While Buffalo did not have any memorable moments in 2010 his great showings cemented him has a main event monster instead of a midcard enforcer. Now that he is feared by the fans, there is no telling where the giant man beast will go.

Good Guys

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/BryanVessey.jpg

Bryan Vessey

One of the best overall workers in wrestling today many questioned his move to TCW. It turned out to be the right one as he has put on many of the company’s top matches in 2010 and seems primed for a title run.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/JoeyMinnesota_alt3.jpg

Joey Minnesota

Minnesota seemed stuck at the beginning of 2010, The Syndicate had been destroyed and RDJ was off fighting Cornell. All of that changed once Minnesota debuted a new patriotic soldier type gimmick and formed an alliance with Guide and Scout. Since then he has been getting standing ovations everywhere he goes and is arguable the companies top face right now.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/thRickyDaleJohnson_alt12.jpg

Ricky Dale Johnson

Good old RDJ, 2010 saw one of the best feuds of his career with Cornell as the two split PPV battles 5 to 5. With his career coming to an end the two have put their differences aside in attempt to win Breakout and get one more title run.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/ChampagneLover.jpg

Champagne Lover

One year ago Champagne Lover was in the same spot the rookies were in. However his looks, charisma, and in ring skills immediately put him on the main roster and quickly got him over with fans. After only a few months he got a quick roll up victory over Wolf Hawkins which saw a Keith/Lover storyline which ended in what appeared to be a passing of the torch

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/RockyGolden_alt2.jpg

Rocky Golden

Golden started 2010 as the World title holder and held it for a few months before losing to the current champion. Over the course of the year he gradually debuted his new character by getting tattoos claiming each one was symbolic and motivation for staying clean and striving for victory creating a modern day straight edge character. While it is a bit different from a normal “stay in school kids” good guy, few would argue he was better of before. With his tattoo’ing complete and his new gimmick accepted he seems ready for another chance as champion.

http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r461/jester_x7769/TCW%20Diary/JoshuaTayloralt.jpg

Joshua Taylor

Perhaps the biggest surprise of the year was Taylor rising to the ranks he did. He started out as a midcarder and despite not being in any major programs the fans took to his new cool guy/surfer dude/rock star image and has gotten very over and a World title run could be his beginning to a new era.

Wanted to get this out, I will post the improvement of the workers in the above spot soon, but all workers are pretty even skill/pop wise after a year in development.

Yeah I understand. Like the above poster mentioned above about face and heel, I want it to come off as a legit competition instead of NXT so I didn't want to start off with awkwardness that would not make sense right away. For example the Miz and Bryan is a good storyline, but Miz would be stupid to beat Bryan down to lose if a World title shot was on the line. But don't worry there will still be conflicts as there are different levels of both good and bad ;) just not the obvious face/heel divide for rookie/mentor relationship. Some of the pairings will be awkward right off the bat but more for personality type reasons, and who knows what will happen in the future as its a whole year so it seems silly no one will make a turn in that long of time :p

Hopefully I don't dissapoint you with Hawkins/LeStat as these are the types of conflicts I am going for, sure they are both heels, but one is a basic ****y youngster ready to break out and the other is a Vamp..er, I mean creepy beast. It is these types of relationships that will test workers to work together for mutual gain, or will they turn on each other eliminated their chances of gold?

Great idea, I'm hooked. Love the addition of Champagne Lover and the use of Buffalo as a ME monster.
