</span><span style="color:#8B0000;"><span style="color:#000000;">That comment from my brother made me snicker a little bit. We were watching an absolutely awful match between two SWF midcarders, a couple of shocking personalities with virtually no wrestling talent. Wow, two responses before I could post my OOC overview. That's exciting.

"A Family Tradition" will be told in the viewpoint of Luke Sneer except during shows, where I plan to use an announcer/color commentator dialogue with match overviews. Luke's Head Booker response to eatch match and angle will also appear in italics under each segment.

The big difference between this dynasty and the very short-lived SECW dynasty (that had huge promise until the file mysteriously vanished off of my computer) is that "A Family Tradition" will not have pictures. Some people think that a picture is worth a thousand words. I'm the type of guy who would rather type a thousand words than upload a picture. I love creative writing and storytelling, so this text-only dynasty will be my new style. I'm still a young TEW player and writer, so any feedback is begged for.

Now, a little more about the new SCCW. Used the product settings that were for SCCW in the awesome CornellVerse 97 mod, which are:

Key Features: TRADITIONAL

Heavy: MAINSTREAM and REALISM

Medium: HARDCORE

"The Class" is owned by the young and brash Jake Sneer, award-winning wrestling writer and future announcing star. His twin brother Luke is head booker and will most likely be a main eventer for SCCW. This revival is based in the Southeast region of America, of course. I'm using real venues in this game, however, because I like how the variety and uniqueness sets it apart from other CVerse dynasties. Regularly scheduled, SCCW will have monthly, last Saturday night shows (medium size). The company is listed as small, with a 30% popularity starting point in the Southeast.

My next post will be the starting roster. Look for a Sting-like Steve Flash coming in, with some SCCW alumni making their returns to the ring. And will Shane Sneer play a role at all in his former promotion's revival?

It's gonna be a fun ride, guys. Thanks for the early interest.

Christmas at the Sneer household is always very interesting. Dad always has to be the very center of attention, no matter what is going on. The extended family always love to hear Dad's road stories and, most importantly, get the free USPW swag and tickets as gifts. Especially our little two cousins, Drew and Dylan. Ever since they were knee-high, they loved hearing Uncle Shane tell of the glitz and glamour of big-time wrestling. And we were all entertained every single year as the two collided in an all-out Sneer Family Championship wrestling match, which used to be a three-way when I was younger.

Now the two mopheaded wannabe grapplers were 16, and really beginning to show signs of going into the wrestling business. Drew was a high school wrestler, showing off his new state championship ring to everybody. Dylan, meanwhile, was a wrestling fanatic and a multi-sport star...kid's fast, skinny, and goes ninety-to-nothing in everything he does. This Christmas they hounded Jake and me about SCCW and the business and "So we can like get, like, backstage passes to every show, right?"

The Sneer family, always interesting...especially when Grandpa Joe starts his annual Christmas cantata off the side of our Smoky Mountain luxury cabin...but we're tight. Hey, family's everything in this business.

"You know, Drew and Dylan could be future superstars. We should get them into the business ASAP. They've got the athletic ability for sure, and the Sneer star quality. Don't you think SCCW has a couple spots for them on the roster in a few years, bro?"

I smiled and nodded to Jake, whose hair was extremely dyed red and green for the holiday season. We were sitting on the porch overlooking some of the most beautiful snow covered land in the country.

"You're the boss...the roster is however you want it to go, man."

"Now speaking of roster, guys...got it done yet?"

The legendary Shane Sneer had finished his latest zany road story and had stepped outside to talk to his business-minded boys. Dad seemed genuinely interested in what we were talking about, but you gotta think: we were messing with his legacy here; SCCW was his brainchild.

"Just finalized a contract with our road agent yesterday, Dad. One of your USPW guys: Sheik Mustafa."

"Ah, the Sheik. He'll get things done for y'all. Alrighty, lay 'em on me. Who are your main eventers?"

"Got the sheet printed out for you already, Pops."

I looked over Dad's shoulder at the roster that Jake had printed out, complete with an embossed SCCW logo at the top.

Main Eventers:

Scorpion Steve Flash Jake's good buddy Steve Flash, an amazing worker, agreed to come on down here. Although we had to shell out $2,000 per appearance to get him, this fabulous face "had to be down here", according to Jake. Has some of the best performance skills in the world, and will do well with his Old School Face gimmick.

Dazzling Dave Diamond Steve's "friend" as a main event face is another great NYCW worker, the "Dazzling One". Triple D signed cheap and is a no-frills brawler from Texas, so his rough style and Southern charm should take him a long way in SCCW. He rocks a Rebel gimmick.

Antonio Del Veccio Another cheap main eventer, Del Veccio is an all-around great wrestler and a Rip Chord protege that left MAW for 4C up in Canada. He's absolutely one of the best we could've gotten, and his Underworld gimmick will make him a great bad guy in SCCW.

Mr. Electricity Kashmir Singh is a highly charistmatic Indian grappler that picked up popularity as "The Sensational Singh" down in Puerto Rico. Upon signing, he told us about his new alter ego he'd been working on, a Fabulous Heel dubbed "Mr. Electricity". The bright and gaudy costume mixed with the arrogant grin of Kashmir was priceless. Needless to say, SCCW is about to get ELECTRIFIED!

Luke Sneer Well, I'm definitely the best wrestler and entertainer in this company, and, as Jake said, am the number one heel and main eventer. I can also switch to face pretty easily (very un-Sneer, eh?), so I can't wait to get going. Show Stealer gimmick for your boy.

Upper Midcarders:

Bulldozer Brandon Smith MAW rising star BBS, a former football star-turned-pro wrestler, comes down to our neck of the woods with potential to become a big star. Brandon is a great brawler with even better entertainment and match-working skills. He has many different characters he can work with, and since he's currently The American Patriot for Rip Chord, we picked his nice but tough Biker gimmick.

Coyote Dynamite Coyote is a vet brawler and, as I like to call him, a "professional tag team wrestler". He's been teamed with several wrestlers in many different promotions, and his highly-touted charisma has given him tag team titles anywhere he goes. He and Wiley Steinway join Smith as Bikers, giving the trio a fan-favorite look going into 2010.

Nelson Callum Nelson "The Dream" Callum is one of our many young hotshots coming down to SCCW. A future star, this PSW prospect is best friends with heel young gun Davis Wayne Newton, which is a huge help backstage. An all around blue chipper, Callum comes to SCCW as a Teen Idol, and he plays the airheaded jock quite well.

Wiley Steinway Take Coyote's skills and turn them up a tad bit. You get Wiley, a great heavyweight wrestler who has made his mark on smaller companies for years. Always ready to rumble, Steinway and his Biker tag team of "Wiley Coyote" is experienced and brings success down South.

Ash Campbell This begins our second generation future superstar list...Ash is the son of John "Nemesis" Campbell and is a very good high-flying cruiserweight. He also is a wiz with the mic and has infectious star qualities. This PSW rising star could go really far with us and his Pretentious Artist gimmick.

Matthew Keith Son of the legendary Sam Keith, Matthew Keith is another PSW grappler who has the best potential out of anyone here at SCCW. Twin brother (kind of a theme here, eh?) of lower midcarder Greg Gauge, Matthew is years ahead of his brother in talent and can go a long way if he sticks with Jake and me. No one else plays the C0cky Youth better than this all-around talent.

Midcarders:

D.C. Rayne One-half of "Natural Storm", D.C. Rayne is another hot talent that can strike and hold very well. His entertainment skills are a little rough around the edges, but Puerto Rican Power has trained him well so far in FREEDOM. His Louisiana upbringing will allow him to connect with our fans well. "Natural Storm" and the Dude D.C. Rayne have nowhere to go but up with us.

Eddie Howard The other half of "Natural Storm", Eddie is almost identical to his partner in talent and skills. Originally a Rip Chord protege, Eddie (and D.C) are great young prospects and we're excited to have them on board. Fan Favorites indeed.

Mainstream Hernandez Mainstream is a charismatic high flier from our neighbors up North. This Canadian sensation has enormous potential, and the Fun Babyface gimmick suits him well. Out of all of our midcarders, we're most excited to have Mainstream on board.

Citizen X Citizen X is a tough Anarchist gimmick used by a veteran MAW worker, Charles Weston. X's entertainment skills are his best, and he can still work a match really well. His character is believable and he's still got some potential left in him...Weston will work well here.

Hector Galindo and Rudy Velasquez "The Latino Kings" are the identical workers that have been trained by "The Lone Wolf" Shawn Gonzalez down at FREEDOM. They have good experience working together and are gritty, tough wrestlers. "The Latino Kings" work with a Rapper gimmick, let's see how they do here.

Lower Midcarders:

Riley McManus Poor Riley is the only face lower midcarder here in this initial roster, showing we definitely have room to improve this list. Riley is a big guy from South Georgia, a worker who can slam and throw with the best of them. He's young and also has mounds of potential, and he's excited to work down here in his home area. He uses a Fan's Own gimmick.

Blackjack Robbins and Whisky Jack The SCCW revival welcomes back "The Tennessee Outlaws", Blackjack Robbins and Whisky Jack. These two entertaining vets come back to work in the large tag team circuit we've been building up. Former champions here, they've been out of work lately, but Jake and Dad suggested we pick them up to give returning fans a couple of familiar faces. They will work as two rough and tough Mountain Men.

Greg Gauge Twin brother of Matthew Keith, Greg is another young hotshot who has truckloads of future stardom inside him. Not quite as great of a worker as his brother (but very, very close), Greg has some smoothing out to do before he gets up to the top with his C0cky Youth self.

Davis Wayne Newton Quite possibly the best young prospect in the world today, the Blue Chipper DWN is one we hope to keep for a long time. Davis is already an amazing all around worker with great mic skills, and he's the future of North American wrestling.

Managers and Other Staff Members:

Dharma Gregg A wrestler with the very interesting BSC promotion, Dharma Gregg comes to us as young worker with amazing managerial skills. She's got impressive entertainment skills and is VERY good-looking. Another benefit of this Girl-Next-Door is that if we ever get a Women's Division in the future, we've got a seasoned worker already.

Katie Cameron Another great Girl-Next-Door manager, Katie is the boyfriend of "The Amazing" Jacob Jett...hopefully she can get him to come down here.

Krissy Angelle Krissy is a PSW manager that retired from wrestling in the early days of BSC. She plays the hot Seductress well, and will be managing the top heel here (hint, hint).

Ernie Turner Tennessee's "Slick Pimp Daddy" is a wrestler with some amazing entertainment tools. Between you and me, he's not that great of an actual grappler...so he's our new color commentator! With popularity as a former SCCW worker down here, he should go far.

Michael Bull Michael is a tough referee from Florida who won't take much bull from the wrestlers or the fans. He signed cheap to come back down to work in his home area, and we're happy to have him here.

As mentioned before, Jake is our announcer and Sheik Mustafa is our road agent.

There's the starting cast for the revolution down South...it's time for Southern Championship Class Wrestling!

There are some SCCW alumni i would have considered picking up ( for my revivals I usually went with as much of the originals as I could, although some are really worthless.) like Whistler, Elijah Harris, Brady Prince and even Tank Bradley. All of these people have skills or overness that would help jumpstart your promotion, and also have authentic SCCW ties. Also try and grab Jesse Christian when he comes off hiatus as he is probably MR SCCW.

I tried getting Whistler and Jack Griffith, but they asked for extremely high contracts and walked out during negotiations.

Elijah Harris? Might have to nab him...

Getting The Outlaws and Ernie Turner were huge lifts for me, I wanted alumni for sure. I'm going to try as hard as I can to get Whistler. How'd you like the NYCW guys in there for me? I know how well you write for them in your David Mack diary.

Diamond should be a good fit for the product, and so are the former Wiley Coyote, with Coyote being an alum also. Honestly I don't really see Flash being part of SCCW, but he is so generally awesome you have to get him anyway.

While he'd be a long time before being useful, Animal Harker screams to be in this kind of promotion also.

Harker, eh? Don't know much about him. I REALLY want Whistler, because I forsee a huge Rebel/Confederacy thing going on for him. Is when Jesse gets off of hiatus randomized or set?

its Randomized, but I usually see him come out within 2010 sometime.

I see. Hmm...

For anyone who's lurking or wondering at all, the SCCW Saturday Night Special prediction card will be up sometime soon. Not going to give a detailed card preview because no one here really has a story or momentum at all in this new promotion. But I will do some detailed previews in future shows.

I have also found out that my events will have to be pushed back one week, because MAW has their shows on Friday in Week 4. This affects Bulldozer Brandon Smith's ability to wrestle big time, as he probably is going to go far in the Rip Chord Invitational the night before our first show. I've already passed Saturday in Week 3, so the Saturday Night Special will be the only Week 4 show we do for now.

The time was near.

I was sweating bullets and my throat tightened while the crowd's roar was heard through the walls.

This was my father's legacy I was messing with.

"You ready, for this, man?"

"Yeah, I guess so. Let's hope this doesn't totally bomb."

Jake laughed that Sneer laugh and slipped on his signature shades.

"It won't. I told you we were gonna rock the wrestling world forever. This ain't gonna be some passing trend. We're hear to STAY. Got my card?"

I nodded and handed him the match card, shivers multiplying down my spine.

SCCW Saturday Night Special<o></o>

LIVE from the Kimbel Arena in Conway, SC (SELLOUT: 1,039 in Attendance)<o></o>

Saturday, January Week 4, 2010<o></o>

ANNOUNCERS: Jake Sneer and Ernie Turner<o></o>

<o>

</o>

The sellout crowd at the Kimbel Arena is on their feet and is electric as the new SCCW theme music hits, a pulse-pounding Southern Metal guitar solo. Color Commentator Ernie Turner is in the ring as the music fades out.<o></o>

“Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the return of Southern Championship Class Wrestling…your Saturday Night Special!”<o></o>

The fans roar in approval, excited to get the show on the road and to see the former SCCW star in the ring.<o></o> “All you awesome guys and…very, very fine ladies out in the crowd… (pauses to wink at the crowd as the noise continues to grow) …ready for some action?”<o></o>

Again a huge pop from the crowd, “The Slick Pimp Daddy of Tennessee” loves it.<o>

</o> “Before we get started here tonight, let me introduce you to my broadcast partner and the key catalyst in the revival of SCCW…New York Times best-selling author…America’s #1 wrestling fan…our owner Jake Sneer!”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster’s song “Step Up (I’m On It)” blares through the PA System as the crowd rises to their feet again. The unmistakable grin of Jake Sneer lights up the screen and the young owner wheels his way out the entrance to the arena.<o></o> “How we doing, South Carolina???<o></o>

The crowd shatters eardrums in response to the boss.<o></o> “Welcome to the revival of SCCW! Our time is now! (he leans back in his wheelchair in approval, laughing and drinking in the insanity) I hope you’re ready for great wrestling action and awesome entertainment. I am the revolution. Ernie is the revolution. All the amazing athletes we have in the back are the revolution. And all of y’all are the revolution!<o></o>

The Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers’ basketball arena has never experienced this much noise…ever. Richter Scale, anyone?<o></o> “Because we’re not like other wrestling promotions. We have intense action. We have jaw-dropping moves. We have the next greats in wrestling. We have good vs. evil. We don’t specialize in ancient wrestlers, senseless violence, wrestling soap operas, or whatever’s popular this week. We are SCCW, and we’re not going anywhere!

“My father, Shane Sneer…<o>

</o>Interesting response here: mostly approvals for the former SCCW owner and USPW broadcaster, but a few boos are resonating throughout the crowd.<o>

</o> “…he built this company when no one else thought he could. And the old SCCW tore through this great part of America, and memorable matches were held. Characters became legends. Fans were always satisfied. Now, when I said that I was bringing back this company, most ‘experts’…even some of my own family…said I couldn’t do it. BUT I DID!!! (tilts his head back and laughs as the crowd roars)<o>

</o> “And tonight, the revolution returns. Tonight, some of those legends come back and the future of wrestling gets put on center stage. We’ve got seven great matches for you tonight, and anything can happen here in SCCW. Welcome to the revival. This is Saturday Night Special!”<o>

</o>The introduction to the show ends with the crowd going berserk some more and Jake rolling down the ramp to his announcing table.<o></o>

©<o>

</o>

Well, well, well. Jake owned the crowd during his “Welcome to the Revival” opener. I didn’t expect the crowd to react the way they did…my brother’s entertainment skills are growing every single day. And FYI, his book is being sold at the merch table for anyone who’s interested. You can get it signed too…for a price.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Maylene and the Sons of Disaster’s song “Step Up (I’m On It)” blares

“What a way to get this thing started, partner.”<o>

</o> “Thanks, Ernie. Beautiful intro by you, too. Now let’s get to the action, what do ya say?”<o>

</o> “Amen, brother!”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Riley McManus and Davis Wayne Newton vs. Greg Gauge and Citizen X<o></o>

After four individual entrances (these two “teams” aren’t really teams at all), the first SCCW match in the Jake Sneer era begins. Early on McManus and DWN have a hard time getting on the same page, arguing constantly due to the face/heel split. On the other side of the ring, Greg Gauge and Citizen X rolling, but each wrestler refuses to tag out. Hot tags multiply and the egotistical wrestlers’ blood begin to boil. <o>

</o> McManus and Newton finally connect late in the match, around the six minute mark. X and Gauge are still getting on each others’ nerves. McManus starts battering Citizen X with throws and bruising punches, and Gauge keeps reaching for the tag. But X refuses to tag, and the young duo take advantage of that. McManus plasters X in the middle of the ring with his South Georgia Slam and promptly tags DWN. The young blue chipper then leaps off the turnbuckle, beautifully executing a 540 Degree Splash. X finally reconsiders his battle plans and reaches for Gauge, but it’s too late. Newton locks in the STF and Citizen X submits, giving the two young guns the first victory of the year.<o>

</o>

Winner: Riley McManus and Davis Wayne Newton by Submission via STF (Newton) in 6:53<o></o>

(D-)

<o></o>

The whole Gauge and Citizen X bad tag team deal wasn’t storytelling, my friends. They have awful chemistry, and the crowd gave zero reaction to Citizen X. He brought this match way down, even with great performances by McManus and DWN.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“The young duo of McManus and DWN pick up our first ever victory in the ‘Jake Sneer’ era. Man, I love that name.”

“You would. That’ll teach Citizen X to work with his partner, whoever they may be.”

“And what about the South Georgia Slam + 540 Degree Splash + STF combo there by the young guns? What a way to pick up a win…these guys are future stars.”<o>

</o> “How about some one-on-one action, Jake? The second greatest-looking guy in the world…besides me, of course… Nelson ‘The Dream’ Callum takes on Ash Campbell, son of Nemesis. Two great young guys going at it!”<o>

</o> “That reminds me, Ernie…”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Nelson “The Dream” Callum vs. Ash Campbell

<o></o>

“The Dream” comes strutting into the rings as females age 12 and up ooh and ahh over the dreamy grappler. With a knowing grin on his face and several winks to the crowd, Callum gets ready for the match. Then Ash Campbell comes on in, another good-looking wrestler with an enormous ego. Campbell ignores the young fans reaching for him, and slides into the ring with a sneer on his face. Before referee Michael Bull calls for the bell, Jake interrupts with an announcement.<o>

</o> “The winner of the following match will go to next month’s Great Southern Showdown and will compete for the SCCW Southern Regional Championship!” (holds up the classic belt for effect)<o>

</o> The title shot lights a fire under the two young guys, as they go all out for the fans. These evenly matched grapplers go back and forth in a match with a lot of pop and big moves. After a monumental Spinning DDT, Callum goes for a high-risk move. Bad idea, bud. Campbell rolls away from an Atomic Elbow Drop and goes to town. One Shooting Star Press later and it’s night, night, “The Dream”. <o></o>

Winner: Ash Campbell by pinfall via Shooting Star Press in 7:29<o></o>

(D-)<o>

</o>

Not a bad match for two young guys who aren’t that popular down here. Both are well-received by fans initially, and they loved the intensity of the match. We’ve got two future stars on our hands.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“And Ash Campbell is going to the Great Southern Showdown!”<o></o> “That’s right, Jake. And as a guy who has held that Southern Regional belt before, I can say that Campbell is excited on the inside. He may look tough and arrogant as he walks up the ramp, but I can tell you that the dude’s doing cartwheels on the inside.”<o></o>

“He’s acting like he’s been here before, Ernie.”<o></o>

“But he hasn’t!”<o></o>

“Whatever, man. Up next we have a…”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Mr. Electricity’s music hits and ring pyros go off in blinding fashion. But the usual grin of Kashmir “The Sensational” Singh, as he’s known in FREEDOM, isn’t there. He’s a man on a mission, yanking a microphone off of a staff member and sliding into the six-sided ring. <o>

</o> “Listen, Jake Sneer. You know why I’m called ‘Mr. Electricity’?”<o></o>

“Because it’s shocking that your wife lets you go out in public with that get up?”<o></o>

“Ooh, he’s got a wife? Indian? How does she look, Super Shocker?”<o></o>

Laughs all around, except for Mr. Electricity, who whips off his glasses furiously and yells back.<o></o> “You shut your mouth, all of you! I am Mr. Electricity because I am the most electrifying worker in the entire company…in the entire Southeastern of America!”<o>

</o> “Where’d you learn your English, Grammar Boy?”<o>

</o> “I said shut it, Turner! Jake Sneer, I am the best performer you’ve got, bar none. I deserve a title shot, boy.”<o>

</o> “You want a title shot? (he pauses for a second before cracking into that huge Sneer grin) Ok, you’ve got it. (Into a walkie-talkie) Lower it down, guys!

A briefcase is lowered through the rafters of the Kimbel Arena as Jake continues.<o>

</o> “There you go, sir. Your title shot, in that very briefcase. Got a ladder? Because I know somebody who does…”<o></o>

Mainstream Hernandez enters, carrying a ladder and playing to the crowd. With a big smile on his face, he throws it into the ring, a little too close to Mr. Electricity, and Jake announces to the crowd:<o></o> “Ladies and gentlemen, Mainstream Hernandez and Mr. Electricity…one-on-one for a shot at the…Southern Regional Championship!”

Mr. Electricity is stunned. He barks out at Jake Sneer, who is too busy laughing his head off with Ernie. The man who expected the SCCW Championship shot is going crazy. Jake can barely contain himself as he tells the two:<o>

</o> “And that…match…starts now!”<o></o>

(D)<o>

</o>

A bit of a comedic segment there, as the high and mighty Singh played that role perfectly. Mainstream also got a big pop from the crowd, too. Let’s hope the match does as good as the set up did.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Mr. Electricity vs. Mainstream Hernandez

<o></o>

Southern Regional Title Shot Ladder Match<o>

</o>

Mr. Electricity is not very happy about this whole ordeal, but that’s not going to keep him from trying to win this match. He goes right after Hernandez, but the smart babyface is ready to go. Skilled in the ladder match, Hernandez wears down the Indian before going to the briefcase. Mainstream climbs the ladder and goes after the briefcase…but Mr. Electricity takes it out from under him! He then grabs the ladder and beats Mainstream down with it in a rage, with the final blow crumpling the youngster. <o></o>

Singh then goes up the ladder on his way to the briefcase, but stops halfway. With an evil grin on his face, he tries to deliver one more kill shot on his opponent. Here comes the Dubai Drop from the ladder…no! <o></o>

Hernandez rolls out of the way and Singh plants himself right into the mat. Hernandez then connects on a brain-rattling Super Kick and climbs his way to next month’s title match.<o></o>

Winner: Mainstream Hernandez by retrieval in 10:12

<o></o>

(D)

<o></o>

Great match. The buildup was awesome, and the crowd loved the entire thing. Mainstream and Mr. Electricity played to the fans, and I was even entertained throughout the match. Mainstream’s gunning for some success and potential gold, while Mr. Electricity will be fueled by revenge from here on out. Solid performances by these two.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“Mr. Electricity goes down!”<o></o>

“All he had to do was tell me what his wife looked like…”<o></o>

“Ernie, Ernie, Ernie…”

“But it was a great match. And his face was shock to shock…first the ‘wrong’ title shot, then the loss! Mainstream Hernandez has started his SCCW career with a bang.”<o></o>

“Hey, you might be interested in this, Ernie. Dharma Gregg is backstage now with her client Bulldozer Brandon Smith, and she’s got something to say.”<o></o>

“Yeah, let’s cut to the fine lady!”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

We now see the lovely Dharma Gregg backstage, zipping up her biker jacket as she stands next to her client, Bulldozer Brandon Smith. Brandon smiles to the crowd with his shades on, the face getting a huge pop. <o></o> “Ladies and gentlemen, here is your future star.<o></o>

Crowd roars: guys for Dharma’s good looks, ladies for the muscular Brandon.<o>

</o> “In just a couple of minutes, my client will face off against the dreaded Matthew Keith. He claims that he’s the future of wrestling, just because of who his dad is.<o>

</o>Boos at the mention of the c0cky Keith.

“But Brandon here is trained and ready. He’s got experience with one of the greatest wrestlers of all time: Rip Chord! So you better be ready, Matthew, because the two most beautiful people in wrestling are about to ignite SCCW.”<o>

</o>

(E+)<o>

</o>

Dharma’s still getting used to being a manager and not a wrestler here. But the two work well together, the likable biker guy and chick seemed to resonate with the crowd well. All in all, this was a decent promo for the two.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Matthew Keith vs. Bulldozer Brandon Smith w/ Dharma Gregg<o>

</o>

Matthew Keith comes into the ring with the crowd continuing to boo him from the Smith/Gregg promo. He is not fazed by the crowd though, as his arrogant grin carries him into the match. BBS and Dharma follow in next as a classic hard rock song is pumped through the arena, both riding on a sweet custom chopper. Brandon parks the bike in front of the ring as Dharma slides off of it and shows her stuff for the male crowd. Matthew picks up a little heat from the fans (and Brandon) as he c0ckily blows a kiss and winks at Dharma.<o>

</o> So right off the bat Brandon comes in hard charging at Matthew, spearing him with a takedown similar to his football days. But the young Keith fights back, and the two go hard after each other for the rest of the match. The end came near the nine minute mark when Keith pulled off a stunning reversal of an attempted Inverted Piledriver. Keith spun the biker into the mat and squeezed him with a deadly Proton Lock, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Brandon’s toughness could only go so far: he tapped out in pure agony.<o>

</o>

Winner: Matthew Keith by submission via Proton Lock at 9:34

<o></o>

(D+)<o>

</o>

Keith and Smith put on a show for the fans and they lapped it up. This was a better match than the last ladder thriller between Hernandez and Mr. Electricity. Dharma did great work at ringside, and Matthew Keith cemented his bad guy image with this tainted win. Two great prospects for the future, I hope these guys can put out performances like this every month.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“It’s gotta be rough when you have to cheat to win.”<o>

</o> “Come on, Ernie…quit whining. You’ve got to do whatever and I mean WHATEVER it takes to win in this business. Besides, you’re just upset that the guy with the nice-looking manager didn’t win.”<o>

</o> “She is a stunner, isn’t she? Maybe I can catch her after the show…”<o>

</o> “Hold on, Ernie. Looks like two other guys are coming down the ramp to congratulate Keith on his well-deserved victory.”

<o> </o> …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Luke Sneer and Ash Campbell enter the ring, dressed in nice suits. The red hot seductress Krissy Angelle is wrapped around Luke’s arm, causing more than a few whistles and catcalls. Fans still have considerable heat for Campbell, and aren’t too sure about Shane’s other son. The two enter the ring and stare down Keith for a few seconds. Keith looks a little distrusting until Luke speaks.<o></o> “Excellent work, Matthew.

He extends his hand out to Keith, who waits for a bit then finally accepts the handshake.<o>

</o> “I’ve been talking to Ash backstage, Matthew. You know how my father has The Sneer Corporation in every place he works at. Well, I have an offer for you. My brother has revived this company and has big plans for it…and I personally have big plans to. I would like to personally invite you to join Ash and me in The New Sneer Corporation. I want the future of wrestling to come together and take over SCCW from top to bottom.”

Matthew looks interested as Ash takes the microphone and adds his two cents.

<o></o> “Matthew, we’ve been friends for a while now. We even tag teamed up in Pittsburgh as Next Gen…we took PSW by storm. All three of us come from similar backgrounds…growing up backstage at wrestling shows, sons of legendary wrestlers. Don’t turn this down, man. This is our chance to springboard into the next level. What do you say?”<o>

</o> “What do I say? What do I say? Of course I accept, guys. We’re the best things going for this company, and no one’s gonna stop us!”<o>

</o>With a formal handshake, The New Sneer Corporation is born. Raising their arms in the ring, the three future stars arrogantly nod to the mixed-reacting crowd.

(C-)<o>

</o>

This went over better than I expected. Some fans like bad guys…that’s how it is nowadays. The half-booing, half-cheering crowd is what I like to hear. I’ve got the two brightest stars with me now, let’s see how the fans will accept The New Sneer Corporation in the future.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“Good ol’ Luke. Always thinking two steps ahead…”<o></o>

“He’s got some great talent alongside him now, let’s see how The New Sneer Corporation runs from here. Although they might be cheaters and shifty dudes, they’re amazing workers. And did you see that Krissy Angelle? There’s my second go-to girl after the show!”

“Are you really writing that down on your hand?”<o></o>

“You better believe it, Jake. You just wish you had my ways.”

<o></o>

“Sure, Ernie. Whatever you say. How about some championship wrestling?”<o>

</o> “Almost as good as Dharma and Krissy!”<o>

</o> “It’s a four team elimination tag match for the SCCW Tag Team Titles! D.C. Rayne and Eddie Howard, AKA Natural Storm…Hector Galindo and Rudy Velasquez: The Latino Kings…plus the return of former SCCW tag teams Wiley Coyote and The Tennessee Outlaws…can all mean one thing: it’s time for an amazing fight for the straps.”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Natural Storm w/Katie Cameron vs. The Latino Kings vs. The Tennessee Outlaws vs. Wiley Coyote

<o></o>

Elimination Tag Match for the SCCW Tag Team Titles

<o></o>

The thumping sounds of GRITS bring Natural Storm out to the ring, slapping hands with the fans down the ramp, accompanied by Katie Cameron. The two have really bonded together since becoming a tag team under Puerto Rican Power, and the fans instantly connect with Natural Storm. The same, however, cannot be said for The Latino Kings, as the fans don’t like them from the very start. The legends of SCCW are next: first, The Tennessee Outlaws. Whiskey Jack and Blackjack Robbins start right where they left off when SCCW ended the first time: irritating the crowds. Then the biggest pop of the night so far came next when the veteran tag team of Wiley Steinway and Coyote Dynamite come into the ring to a roadhouse rock style song. The gritty brawlers are liked wherever they go, it seems. Referee Michael Bull holds up the newly redesigned straps from ReapeR’s RendeRs, and calls for the bell.<o>

</o> When one team member is eliminated in this type of match, the other guy is in there all alone. And when Rudy Velasquez got stuck by a Wiley Steinway spear at the four minute mark, Hector Galindo was in the ring as the only King left. Steinway and Eddie Howard then focused on Galindo, who couldn’t put up much of a fight after that. The two forced the young Latino into Wiley Coyote’s corner, and the veterans eliminated The Latino Kings altogether with a tag-teaming ACME Slam.<o>

</o> After Howard helped lead Galindo into Wiley Coyote’s wrath, he was in trouble. The seemingly forgotten legal Outlaw, Blackjack Robbins, stunned Howard with a flash pin from behind. D.C. Rayne was the only member of the Storm left. But he put up one heck of a fight, eliminating Whiskey Jack with a brutal Storm Damage. <o>

</o> Wiley Coyote was the only team left intact now, but not for long. When referee Michael Bull was absorbed by the Rayne pin on Whiskey Jack, his tag partner Robbins grabbed a steel chair and headed for Coyote Dynamite. As Dynamite braced for impact, Robbins shockingly smacked himself with the chair, throwing it to Dynamite. When the chair hit, Bull turned around and saw Robbins sprawled out with Dynamite standing beside a steel chair. Bull promptly disqualified Dynamite, who argued until he was blue in the face about the situation.<o>

</o> During the squabble, Robbins reaches into his pocket and pulls out brass knuckles. With a purely evil grin on his face, Robbins clocks D.C. Rayne and pins him for a quick 1-2-3. At the twenty minute mark, it was just Blackjack Robbins and Wiley Steinway left.<o>

</o> Steinway and Robbins locked up in the middle of the ring and began two solid minutes of pure back-and-forth brawling. Wiley got the last word, however, and the tag team titles. Steinway Highway and a pin…Wiley Coyote are your first champions of the Jake Sneer Era.

Winner: Wiley Coyote by pinfall via Steinway Highway (Steinway) in 21:28

NEW SCCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: WILEY COYOTE

<o></o>

(D-)

<o></o>

Why did a title match not do so well as our midcard did? Two words: Latino Kings. No heat from the fans, poorly rated gimmicks, and they were swallowed alive during the match. They also have been total pains in the butt backstage, so I’m really regretting these signings. At least the legends and Natural Storm were well received. Fans liked the classic SCCW showdown finish, too. Wiley Coyote are great tag team champions for us.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“The twisted luck of Blackjack Robbins could only last for so long. Wiley Coyote are our first champs, partner!”<o>

</o> “He was THAT close. The Outlaws come up empty handed. What a title match for our first night back on the job.”<o>

</o> “And Katie Cameron with Natural Storm…”<o></o>

“We know, Ernie, #3. Natural Storm showed real promise early on in that match, and those guys are just having fun in the ring.”<o>

</o> “Two matches left, Jake. Who’s going to the Great Southern Showdown next?”<o>

</o> “We’ll find out soon enough, Ernie. Dazzling Dave Diamond will square off against Antonio Del Veccio, and my brother Luke takes on Scorpion Steve Flash…winners going to next month’s SCCW Championship match.”<o>

</o> “Another beautiful new title we have here at SCCW, thanks to the belt guru ReapeR.”<o>

</o> “Now we go backstage to Triple D himself as he gets ready for his battle with Antonio.”

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Triple D is backstage, lacing up his boots. The charming Texan hits it off well with the fans initially.<o>

</o> “How y’all doing tonight, South Carolina?<o>

</o>The drawl of Dave attaches to the fanbase…they love this guy.<o>

</o> “Tonight I’m going up against Antonio Del Veccio for a shot at your SCCW Championship. Guys, I love this part of the country. People are nice and love their wrasslin’. They also like the rebel, the guy who refuses to let things be controlled by others. I am a rebel.<o>

</o>Crowd roars in agreement, Triple D is doing as well as Brandon and Dharma did.<o>

</o> “This whole ‘New Sneer Corporation’ wants to take control of all of our titles here. They say they’re the future of this business. They mock me for starting my career ‘so late’ in their eyes. I’m here to prove them wrong. And tonight, I’ll proudly go as the ambassador for the fans against Antonio. Because it doesn’t matter how we were raised up or who we once were. It’s all about the fight inside. I’ve got that fight, and I’ve got a shot.”<o>

</o>Diamond ends the promo with a silent tribute to his family back home in Texas, a salute with a chest thump.<o>

</o>

(E+)<o>

</o>

Good work from DDD, a guy who usually isn’t known for his promos. This solidifies his Rebel gimmick and gives him some good momentum heading into the Del Veccio match.

<o> </o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Antonio Del Veccio vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

<o></o>

SCCW Championship Shot Match

<o></o>

Antonio Del Veccio, clad in his mob boss attire, enters the ring to a chorus of boos. No one wants to see the good ol’ Southern boy lose to the Italian-American. Del Veccio does not like this warm welcome at all, and he arrogantly does the classic “belt across the waist” motion on all the turnbuckles. ZZ Top’s “I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide” then hits, and Dazzling Dave Diamond enters. Crowd goes wild for Triple D, who makes sure to fist bump the reaching crowd that’s lining the ramp. <o></o>

The match gets underway with a swift low blow by Del Veccio, who motions to his head in a “I’m so much smarter than you all” fashion. This advantage carries Del Veccio throughout the match, who makes quick work of Triple D. But every time Del Veccio hits a huge move and goes for the pin, Diamond finds a way to kick out.<o></o>

The streak had to end sometime, as Jake put it.<o>

</o> Triple D was getting his first real advantage in the match when he was caught off guard for a split second. Another low blow to an Italian DDT (“Mamma Mia!” says Ernie), and Antonio was going to the Great Southern Showdown.<o>

</o>

Winner: Antonio Del Veccio by pinfall via Italian DDT at 14:37<o></o>

(D)<o>

</o>

I would have liked for two of our main eventers to have put on a better match, but it was good all-in-all. Antonio carried this match by far, and it’s good to have a young guy competing for the SCCW Championship this quick. Now it’s time for my showdown with the Scorpion.

<o></o>

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

“Pain has become a huge reality for one Dazzling Dave Diamond. Two shots to the…I mean, two low blows can’t be good.”<o>

</o> “The young and rising Antonio Del Veccio will be gunning for the title next month at Great Southern Showdown! But who will he face, Ernie?”<o>

</o> “I’ve got my money on Steve Flash…but your brother is very devious.”<o>

</o> “That he is. You should’ve grown up with him. On with the showdown!”

<o> </o> …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….<o></o>

Luke Sneer vs. Scorpion Steve Flash<o>

</o>

SCCW Championship Shot Match<o>

</o>

Every man in the arena: start your jealousy. Krissy Angelle is wrapped around Luke Sneer, not you. His grin widens with every shot against him from the crowd. But there are some who like the wrestling Sneer, and he nods to one especially who is screaming his name on the front row. He enters the ring with a smirk and a salute to his brother at the table. Then the lights go out. Metal music echoes throughout the arena. It can only mean one thing: the Scorpion is in the house. With his trademark black baseball bat, Flash enters the ring to the biggest pop of the night. The buildup is immense and the crowd is hanging on to every move. It’s Showtime.<o>

</o> Back and forth, back and forth, Sneer and Flash collide like two wrestling titans. Flash, the veteran worker, is tied up with Sneer, the young and brash grappler. Fifteen minutes pass with twists and turns from all around, near pinfalls and impact moves dominate the match. These two men are putting everything on the line for that title shot.<o>

</o> Just when Flash is about to hit the Flash Bang at the eighteen minute mark, Ash Campbell and Matthew Keith run down the ramp. Keith distracts Michael Bull long enough for Campbell to get in a few quick hits on Flash. As Campbell rears back for the sucker punch, Flash ducks just in time for Ash to connect with Sneer’s jaw. Flash then reaches for the signature bat and whacks Campbell, sending him over the ropes. He lunges for Keith with the bat, who leaps off the canvas in terror.<o>

</o> Luke Sneer is in the middle of the ring, dazed and very confused. The Scorpion bounces off the ropes for a Flash Bang. He hits it beautifully, and three seconds later wins the title shot. <o></o>

Winner: Scorpion Steve Flash by pinfall via Flash Bang at 19:02

(C-)<o>

</o>

The crowd goes wild over Flash’s come from behind victory over the entire New Sneer Corporation. Bull raises Flash’s arm when all of a sudden…<o>

</o>Matthew Keith drills Flash in the back of the head with his own bat! Campbell and Sneer then join in on the attack, leaving the legend bruised and bloodied in the middle of the ring. <o>

</o>

(E+)<o>

</o>

“Flash wins, but at what price?”<o>

</o> “Poor guy couldn’t even get a well-deserved celebration thanks to that gutless attack! What a despicable show by The New Sneer Corporation.”<o>

</o> “They were just showing Flash who really rules this ring. What a night for wrestling! Good night everybody, and we’ll see you next month at the Great Southern Showdown!”<o>

In a head-to-head prediction showdown, Jingo edged out Dragonmack by one prediction, 4 to 3. The difference for Jingo was the correct prediction of Wiley Coyote's title victory, and his performance will be rewarded with a free signed copy of Jake Sneer's infamous book, Shane's Boy.

Look for another post either tonight or tomorrow sometime on Jake and Luke's reaction to the historic return of SCCW, some wrestling world notes, and even some major business decisions.

Congratulations Jingo and thanks to all who have read or responded to A Family Tradition. I just ran the card for The Great Southern Showdown and am excited for its story potential.

Sunday, January Week 4

Meeting With "The Boss"

Firings, "Failures", and Fantastic News

"I don't care, Luke. I want them out, and I want them out now."

"Can't we just think through this just a second, Jake? After only one month?"

"Those Latin punks were causing problems all throughout the locker room last night, and the fans gave them no reaction. They hate the Gangsta Rapper gimmicks, they hate their style, they just plain hate them. And don't even get me started about Weston...we're not going to pay people that much money and completely bomb a match."

He was right. Galindo and Velasquez were bringing the roster's attitude down last night, and severely brought down what could have been an epic title match. Citizen X also was really vocal about losing his match, and then acted like a spoiled toddler that didn't get his way when he tag teamed with Greg.

"I'm the owner, and I've made my decision. Get those three out now."

"I agree they didn't do well, Jake. But everybody has bad nights."

"But not everybody shows their tail and whine about dropping a match. And the Kings won't cut it here. We need the extra cash anyway."

"Alright, I'll call them ASAP."

Ernie was wrong last night. I wasn't the ruthless Sneer twin, Jake was.

"Speaking of cash..."

"Ah, yes. How'd we do in our first month financially?"

"Well...we didn't turn a profit..."

"Dang. Maybe those guys were all right. Maybe a company like us can't really survive in this day and age."

"...hold on, Johnny Raincloud. Just over a thousand dollars damages this month. Sponsors haven't really picked up on us yet, and we're raising ticket prices for the Showdown. We'll be fine, trust me."

"I suppose. But that makes me angry. We need profit, or Dad's gonna rip his free plugs he's giving us on USPW. 'I don't want ya soiling the company I built from scratch, fellas. I need results!'"

"Who's in charge here, Jake? Dad or us? We're not doing this for him, are we?"

Jake stared at the floor for a few seconds before answering.

"No way. This is our dream, calling our own shots in this business. This is OUR company now. SCCW is no longer Shane Sneer's baby. This is our whole shebang. We've got this. We've got this."

Now he's talking himself back into this. Never can tell what he's gonna do next. I was double-checking some figures on my MacBook when I heard him start laughing insanely, rolling back and forth in his wheelchair.

"Yes! We've got this thing!"

"What is it now?"

"Check Totalextremewrestling.com yet?"

"Was about to, page's loading up...what's the big deal...oh. Yeah, that'll work."

"This is where the money from the Kings and X are going to..."

Cue more insane laughter. SCCW's about to get an eyeopener...

Wednesday, February Week 3

Signings, Temporary Roofs, and Insanity...All In a Day's Work.

"They're in."

Jake's insane laugh, one he reserved for when he was really excited, boomed throughout our new SCCW office constructed in downtown Nashville.

"Both of them. Just signed today. Isn't this great? We got a pair of main event material for the price of those three sorry midcarders we canned yesterday."

He didn't have to remind me about that. The Kings and Citizen X weren't too happy about getting fired after just one show, and let me know it through the phone. I wanted to tell them that it wasn't entirely my decision, but my brother and I had to put up a united front for the company.

Still, one show and out is pretty ruthless.

"I'm glad. Both of them coming in Saturday night?"

"You better believe it. The crowd's gonna freak when they see these guys. Man, I love this job."

This coming from the guy who was super depressed after the tiny financial loss we took from the Saturday Night Special. Bipolar as all get out, if you ask me.

"I see. Got the tickets yet?"

He held up an envelope of plane tickets reserved for us and the ones on the roster we promised travel expenses.

"Yep. There's an airport in DeLand that everyone can get to. Guys at the Pavilion just told me today that the new roof should be secure by Saturday night."

"What, a new roof?"

"Didn't you know? The Livestock Pavilion is an outdoor arena. They've just got a retractable roof put in for this event. Obviously a show like this doesn't come around too often in DeLand."

Not just bipolar, but crazy. He was booking a show for us in a semi-able arena. I can only imagine who was putting the roof in.

"What are you doing?"

"Checking the forecast for rain in DeLand on Saturday night. We should be good."

"You need to be like me more, man. No worries, and just have fun with it."

My to-do list in my mind (added to all of the jobs our beloved owner has forgotten to do with his new Hakuna Matata lifestyle) just got bigger: check and see what new pain medication my brother's on. He has just lost it.

No one said it was going to be boring, for sure.
