How to put on Exciting Fights

Recommended Posts

Everyone knows that fight of the night is good for improving fights but there are other stats that are important for improving fight quality too.

In general offense=good, defense=bad.

Exclamation points are good. You don't get a lot of exclamation points with defense.

Most exciting fights are 12 five minute rounds with stand ups. I like to end with automatic draws. This is bad if you want to generate hall of famers but if you want to make sure boring fighters don't move up this is good.

Chin and Submission defense are neutral. Bad chin can make up for being boring if you get knocked out quickly same with low submission defense and getting submitted quickly. But high chin and submission defense is not necessarily bad.

Grappling is bad and is the worst stat.

Power Puncher, feet of fury, smashing machine, tap out artist, and muay thai master(best stat!) are most important for getting those exclamation points.

Float like a butterfly is bad because you want your fighters to stand in front of each other and trade punches.

Unshakeable is bad but slippery customer is good. Clinch classic can lead to more boring fights than grappling can. Takedown machine is neutral but can be good if it leads to slams. Immovable object is bad. It's more exciting if they're a slippery customer.

The most exciting fighter would have

Black belt-Muay Thai, all top row aside from float like a butterfly, power puncher, feet of fury, smashing machine, tap out artist, take down master, and slippery customer.

Then 0% in everything else. Chin and submission defense might generate more exciting fights around medium levels.
