I played a bit of Mass Effect 3, but changed from 360 to PS3 mid way through.

I know its probably not going to change the ending all that much, but I want to go through them in order.

Well I would if they didn't try and shaft PS3 owners

*EDIT* Or I could just spend a tenner and get them on PC

It would be nice if they did what was done to Baldur's Gate I to make it play like BGII, to MEI and II.

I recently replayed the trilogy but stopped in my track during the third game. It just became uninteresting to me. Don't know why. It was also hard as some of the vehicle-based levels are forced down your throat, and the controls for those are awful.

Now I've purchased it for Origin as it was less than 3 euros. See if it's more accessible on pc, though the third one's got DLC I have yet to play. Plus I've never seen the extended ending. But the last thing I'll do is buy the DLC twice...

Finally got around to playing some more Skyrim, as my ini's are finally making the game stable. Also deactivated some mods like those 3 bird-mods, the SMIM and the official HD expansion. I also meddled with the shadows settings outside to speed it up, but no dice. The more you change (and I had 150+ modules in the list), the more it ****s up your game. Even those supposed 'tweaks' for your ini's are crap 95% of the time. My GFX card was quite awesome at the release of Skyrim (though it's obviously older now), and it should play Skyrim vanilla at ultra. I'm quite happy playing on medium now (with only textures at high). Right now I'm playing with just:

- Skyre [!] -- (was Requiem at first but too many changes, if you run other mods I recommend the more lighter Skyre)

- EGO: Epic Gameplay Overhaul [!] -- (too awesome to miss, and relatively little amount of scripts)

- Immersive Battles & Creatures -- for more flavor

- a bunch of armor and weapon mods (which should be light)

- several companions like Vilja [!], Cerwiden, and several of the 'real' people like Alba and Jolie and someone I never heard of (Wilde?) simply because they look good

- Inconsequential NPC's and that huge NPC mod [!] -- as cities are empty without 'em

- a couple of cosmetic mods (for Whiterun, character eyes and hair)

Problem was that with birds flying around, people walking around and tomatoes in 4MB prints, the setup was getting a little ridiculous. Best to tone it down or you're playing in less than 1920x no matter what your PC is. Hopefully now I can pull through after doing the same quests 20 times over to access the new content (which was a little too high level). That first dungeon in Riverrun (or whatever that hamlet is called; ironically I forgot) I know by heart.

Built an army that only one other faction can contend with (or indeed match) and have wiped out 4 of the other teams already (I say already, this is my 10th hour of gameplay). Just absolutely loving it at the moment. Even declared war and wiped out a faction I at one time helped - just because I could.

I might give that Age of Wonder series a go when I get paid next.

Apparently the buzz going around is that the Steam Summer Sale is scheduled to start this weekend.

Been hearing this too. Lawd have mercy on my wallet!

Good thing is, I have already done a decent amount of spending this month, so I probably won't go as overboard as I did during their last holiday sale which left me broke and then some. I have more than enough games, especially unplayed games, to last me until their next sale. Though I'm a sucker for sales and I can easily get caught up in all the 'excitement'.

If anybody can't wait to lose all their money on the Steam sale, GamersGate is already doing their own sale.

http://www.gamersgate.com/

I've used GamersGate for years and it's always been a good alternative to Steam. Plus it's the only site with Precursors and Xenus 2.

Probably not "cool" or "trendy" anymore but...

been playing alot of Pokemon recently. Basically got a save on HeartGold, White 1 and recently just brought a 3DS and Pokemon X gotta say they may just be essentially the same game in a different skin but they are great, fun time syncs and a credit to them that over a decade after the first game they are still strong and releasing... and selling titles.

They are great JRPGs and probably dont get enough credit.

Also been playing alot of GTA 5 and Watch_Dogs, I still think its just a joy to drive in GTA5 I just love getting a car and just road trippin'

So much so for the heist mission where you have to steal the fire truck I drove to the furthest away Fire Station simply for a road trip and it was Awesome...
