Fire Emblem Awakening, Etrian Odyssey Untold, MegaTen IV, Mario 3D World, Inazuma Eleven, Project X Zone & Pushmo are also good incentive to get a 3DS.

I've never played Binding of Isaac, is it as pretentious as other indie darlings (Braid, for instance)?

I just finished Assassin's Creed IV and I must say it was a fun experience. Meeting all these pirates I grew up being so fascinated by and fighting along side and against them. Edward is probably my favorite protagonist from the AC series. He was such a fun character throughout the entire game. I hope I have the funds for a PS4 and Unity when it comes out in October.

I got excited about the prospects of other time periods they hinted at in the game, particularly the old west, Viking era and feudal Japan. It'd be awesome if those are explored after Unity.

So the fabled Steam Summer Sales are supposed to begin today. Not much on my list, though I'd like a PC replay of Resident Evil 4/5 and would pick those up if -75%. Maybe the latest Civ5 DLC, or something that's just really well-priced. The new Thief? Other than that, I'm not terribly excited about the whole thing.

OK, finally finished Mass Effect 3. And its ending is the video game equivalent to End of Evangelion. Basically the last ten minutes are nothing but a bunch of existentialist bullshit that barely makes any sense, even with the Extended Cut and all the DLC. TBH, I can't think of one time I ever enjoyed the ending to any work of fiction, so maybe it's just me, but I still love the rest of the game (though it could have used a few more months of polish) and the rest of the series.

I think Mass Effect is a series everyone should give a try, just understand that the ending isn't very satisfying and it really needs the DLC to be complete (which is also BS). I'll still buy the next game, I mean come on, what could really go wrong? They make another Dragon Age II?

...forget I said anything.

(Wait, I liked DA2...)

I hope we get some resolution to the Warden/Morrigan god child. I hope he ends up as the protagonist of DA4 or something and has Warden, Hawke, and The Inquisitor as his backup. It probably won't happen but the idea is just badass.

I also found Carver more interesting than Bethany as there really wasn't much of a relationship between Hawke and Bethany. Carver at least has that living in the shadow angst thing going while Bethany doesn't really have much apart from informed respect that doesn't really come through.

My biggest concern is whether or not BioWare can make an fun open world to explore without hurting the story aspects. Bethesda sure as hell can't (except the lore materials, seriously, the writer of those things should be writing the rest of the game).

If you want to play something 'Dragon'-worthy, I still have a betakey for Divinity: Original Sin. Last 10 days, and the version is practically the finished build. If you're serious about it, please pm me and I'll give it away. Give it away. Give it away. Now.

On Humble, you guys think the main Square Enix bundle is worth it if I already have a ton of games that I haven't played? I've played none of the games in the entire bundle except that I bought Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Human Revolution from the Steam sale.
