21CW Best Of British Wrestling

The show opens with a look at all the action of 2009, we are welcomed to the first show of 2010 and the feeling that anything could happen this year, we begin with Jeff Nova in the middle of the squared circle with a microphone

“ Hello and welcome to 21CW Best of British Wrestling. 2009 was a year that i’ll ne’er forget, a lot happened and a lot changed, and this year will be no different, I promise you of that........

Jeff Nova is interrupted by the dreaded screams that constitute the demonic Nightmare’s entrance music. The arena lights go low and the monstrous daemon stalks his way to the ring. Nova takes off his jacket, clearly concerned about the appearance of the unstable lunatic. Nightmare finally stops, standing opposite Nova.

“ Nightmare, what are you doing? Why are you interrupting my address to the fans? Answer Me!”

Nightmare lifts his head and stares at Nova, before leaping with a massive big boot, it connects squarely to the skull of Jeff Nova, who crumples to the mat as though he had been shot. Nightmare’s brutal assault continues, as he lifts Nova to his feet before again devastating him, with both a lariat and then a backbreaker. Nightmare finally ends the horrible attack with his Darkness Choke Slam, as Nova hits the mat, it’s clear that he has lost consciousness, there is no movement from the owner, as the lights once more darken and Nightmare escapes to the backstage area.

We come back from an advert break, and Steve Smith shows us a clip of Jeff Nova being stretchered away and placed in an ambulance, Smith is then joint by manager of Adam Matravers, Phoebe Plumridge, who he explains will join him on commentary for the rest of the night.

DJ Reason versus Luke Cool

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=DJReason2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/DJReason2.jpg" border="0" alt="DJ REASON"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=LukeCool2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/LukeCool2.jpg" border="0" alt="LUKE COOL"></a>

This match is a relatively back and forth affair, we see Cool desperate to end the match early and put away the far more experienced Reason, but likewise we see the veteran instincts of Reason kick in, as he is wise to all Cool’s cheating tactics and attempts at short cuts. Cool goes for a sunset flip and tries to get the three count whilst holding the tights, but could only garner a two count at best. Frustrated Cool walked into a massive DDT from Reason, who finally lifted Cool up onto his shoulders before connecting with The Edge Of Reason (Razor’s Edge) for the victory.

Winner: DJ Reason

We go backstage to the locker room, we see our 21CW Champion, Joss Thompson warming up, lifting weights. Thompson’s intensity is suddenly broken as he looks up from his seat and jumps to his feet, he squares off to a unknown person, until the camera zooms out to reveal his former tag team partner Leo Price, backed by his former manager Kathleen Lee.

Price breaks the silence, speaking first.

“Joss, how are things?”

“What the hell do you want, Price?”

“ Oh what a question, what do I want? World Peace? Untold Riches? A night with Katie Price? No, No, No, what I want is what I deserve. I want the 21CW world title, and you have that title, and that causes a problem.”

“ Listen Price, ever since you dug that knife into my back, I haven’t had a lot of time for you and now you burst into my locker room and tell me that you want to take my world title away from me, why shouldn’t I beat the hell out of you right, here and now?”

“ Joss, this is a chance for revenge, you feel wronged by me, I guess you want payback, well consider this payback, face me one on one and we can settle this like men”

Joss remains silent, steely faced.

“ Think about it Joss, c’mon Kathy”

Price and Kathleen leave. Thompson remains alone in the locker room, questioning what the future holds.

Edward Cornell versus Mister King

The match begins with King trying to get an early advantage on Cornell. This is virtually the last piece of offense that King gets, Cornell forcefully turns the tide of the match and dominates Mister King, Cornell drives him into the mat with a running power slam and even leaps to the top rope before connecting with a massive elbow drop. Cornell finally ends it with a Black Lightning Bomb. The three count is elementary as Cornell celebrates his victory.

Winner: Edward Cornell

We cut backstage, where we are welcomed by Davey Celtic and his tag team partner, Davey London.

London: Alright, I’m Davey London

Celtic: And I’m wee Davey Celtic

London: And we’re in the market for a bit of gold.

Celtic: Aye, specifically the bit of gold, hanging from the waists of those two neaps, Buff Martinez and Jay B

London: Exactly, boys, get ready, cos’ we’re gonna be wearing those belts in a few weeks, cos’ at Steel Cage Challenge, we’ll be pinning your shoulders to the mat.

The two men grin as we go back to the ringside area.

Daniel Black Francis versus Rolling Johnny Stones

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=DanielFrancis.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/DanielFrancis.jpg" border="0" alt="DANIEL BLACK FRANCIS"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=JohnnyStones.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/JohnnyStones.jpg" border="0" alt="ROLLING JOHNNY STONES"></a>

This match is from the get-go a very lively affair, the two men manage to hit each other with all that they possess and seem very well matched. The frustration is apparent on both mens faces several times throughout the match as they just cannot get an upper hand on their opponent. Francis comes close when he soars from the top rope to connect with a cross body but “Rolling” Johnny Stones manages to get his shoulder off the mat in the lick of time to continue the match. The match ultimately concludes with Francis charging at Stones for a roundhouse kick, Stones ducks and grabs Francis, rolling him up (not to mention giving himself an advantage by holding the tights) the referee makes the call...1.....2....3! Stones cheats his way to victory. Stones flees from the ring celebrating his tainted victory, whilst DBF tries to convince the referee of his error.

Winner: Rolling Johnny Stones

Backstage, the camera is still, fixed on the image of the deranged Nightmare, head covered by his cape like clothing, his dark eyes staring into the very soul of the viewer through the camera. There is a tense pause where Nightmare just remains silent, breathing heavily before bursting into speech

“ Jeff Nova, what you don’t realise is that tonight things changed. Historians will look back at the first show of 2010 and realise that the seeds were planted and that this needed to happen, I destroyed your weak body, with the strength of an Ox I crushed you and bloodied you and there was nothing you could do.......There was nothing anybody could do, the world had to bear witness and it will welcome the Orders when they arrive”

Nightmare’s twisted demented face continued to stare, every second looking more unhinged, before mercifully the camera cuts back to ringside.

Phillip Cooper versus Stevie Stoat

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=PhillipCooper.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/PhillipCooper.jpg" border="0" alt="PHILLIP COOPER"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=StevieStoat.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/StevieStoat.jpg" border="0" alt="STEVIE STOAT"></a>

Phillip Cooper bursts through the curtain to the delight of the crowd, who love him and his hat collection, the crowd reaction quickly turns as the arrogant Stevie Stoat swaggers his way down to the ring. The match begins and Stoat begins to dominate the young Cooper, the match goes in a similar vein, and Cooper struggles to get into the swing of things. Stoat’s arrogance does ultimately nearly cost him the match, his slow move to pin after hitting a DDT meant that Cooper rolled him up into a small package! Stoat does however power out and delivered a stiff kick straight to the face of Cooper, with Cooper near enough out cold, Stoat lifts him from the mat and connects with a Super Kick! Stevie Stoat once again moves slowly to pin Cooper, but ultimately it doesn’t matter as the referee’s three count is easily administrated.

Winner: Stevie Stoat

We cut backstage, where a picture of Adam Matravers is held in front of a camera, we pan out and see the picture is burning, a further pan and we see the culprit, Jonathan Faust. Faust stares at the photo and throws it into a nearby bin.

“ What a night, what a beginning to a new decade. Adam Matravers you made your name in the past decade, well you won’t see much action this decade, Matravers you’re a poster boy for this promotion, you’re young, handsome, talented. Well, Jonathan Faust is younger, more handsome, more talented and yet I was cast aside when all others got their opportunity. I fought back and now I am a former world champion. Adam, I don’t know what the future holds, but if I have my way, it will be a future dominated by one man.......Me”

Joss Thompson and Pit Bull Brown versus Kevin Jones and Leo Price

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=JossThompson.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/JossThompson.jpg" border="0" alt="JOSS THOMPSON"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=PitBullBrown_alt2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/PitBullBrown_alt2.jpg" border="0" alt="PIT BULL BROWN"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=KevinJones.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/KevinJones.jpg" border="0" alt="KEVIN JONES"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=LeoPrice.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/LeoPrice.jpg" border="0" alt="LEO PRICE"></a>

Our main event for our first show of 2010 features four of our most popular stars in tag action and also puts former partners Leo Price and Joss Thompson on opposite sides of the ring. The match is your basic tag with the majority of the match being between Thompson and Kevin Jones as Price plays the cowardly heel, refusing to get into the ring with Joss Thompson. There is a brutal bit of brawling between Pit Bull Brown and Kevin Jones during which Brown connects with a boot to the head of Jones when he was down in the corner, however this is only good for a two count in the match. Thompson’s frustration with Price does ultimately boil over and he drop kicks Price from the apron, Price views this as his sign to leave ringside, and this leaves Kevin Jones at the mercy of Brown and Thompson, despite a valiant effort, he quickly falls to the two men’s combined might and is ultimately pinned following Thompson connecting with a Clean Cutter.

Winners: Joss Thompson and Pit Bull Brown

Thompson and Brown celebrate in ring and we leave the first show of 2010 behind us.

The 21CW Prediction Bonanza!

First things first, thank you very much to everyone who predicted on the first event, it was much appreciated.

Due to this, I've decided to give something back to any predictors out there, every month or 5 shows, I will do a prediction contest. The winner of this contest will get a small prize that will effect the diary in some way.

The Prize for this Month's contest will be to choose a new wrestler to debut here in 21CW. At the end of the five shows, I will send the winner a shortlist of around six wrestlers, the victor can determine which one of these wrestlers will debut in 21CW.

So with that said here are the standings for the contest after 1 of 5 events.

1.20LEgend (5)

1.ChrisKid (5)

3.TheEffect (4)

3.LiquidSwords (4)

5.Boltinho (3)

6.Midnightnick (2)

(P.S: The prediction key for the next event is above)

21CW Best Of British Wrestling

The Show begins with a video that shows the events of last week, Nightmare’s brutal attack on Jeff Nova and then his cryptic promo about “The Orders”. The Show begins and Steve Smith welcomes us, he also welcomes his new broadcast partner for the night, former 21CW tag champion, DJ Reason.

As the introduction goes on, our 21CW World Champion , Joss Thompson bursts through the curtain and enters the ring, apparently in a pretty bad mood.

“ Cut my music. Last week, Leo Price challenged me and I wondered what incentive there was for me to take the match, then he mentioned revenge. Price was right, I want revenge, he betrayed me in this ring and I never got the closure that I needed, I crave revenge, deep down, I need to beat Leo Price. The best time and place for me to beat Leo Price is approaching, at 21CW Steel Cage Challenge, me and Leo will be the main event, as we collide inside a Steel Cage and I will have my revenge”

Leaving it short and sweet, Thompson storms backstage.

The Anglo-Scots Connection versus The Ivanoff Brothers.

<a href="

http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=DaveyLondon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/DaveyLondon.jpg" border="0" alt="DAVEY LONDON"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=DaveyCeltic.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/DaveyCeltic.jpg" border="0" alt="DAVEY CELTIC"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=IvanIvanoff_alt1jt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/IvanIvanoff_alt1jt.jpg" border="0" alt="IVAN IVANOFF"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=IgorIvanoff_alt1jt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/IgorIvanoff_alt1jt.jpg" border="0" alt="IGOR IVANOFF"></a>

This tag match served essentially as a warm up for the upcoming tag title match at Steel Cage Challenge and also highlights the lack of depth currently in the tag division. However the match itself is not particularly bad as both teams serve their purpose, The Ivanoff’s look like Russian brusiers whilst the two Davey’s look like talented underdogs. The Anglo-Scots ultimately get the obvious victory after Davey London connecting with the London Bridge on Igor Ivanoff for the three count.

Winners: The Anglo-Scots Connection

The Two Daveys are celebrating their victory, when Hot Stuff leapt the crowd barrier and charged the ring. They attacked from behind , there was a no thrills beatdown, with the two men putting the boots in on their opponents, finally Jay B lifted up Davey Celtic and hit the Jay Bopper, whilst his tag partner hit Davey London with an El K.O. After the beat down has concluded, Jay B and Buff Martinez surveyed their damage as we go to an advert.

Edward Cornell versus Mister King

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=EdwardCornell_alt1jt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/EdwardCornell_alt1jt.jpg" border="0" alt="EDWARD CORNELL"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW/?action=view&current=MisterKing.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW/MisterKing.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The re-match from last week is possibly even more of a squash match, Cornell enters the ring and almost instantly nails King with a devastating clothesline, after whipping him into the ropes and smashing him down with a massive bodyslam, Cornell easily finishes the match with his patented Black Lightning Bomb

Winner: Edward Cornell

Once again we go back to the commentator booth, Steve Smith and DJ Reason talk us through what happened last week, showing clips of Nightmare’s brutal attack. Steve Smith says that next week Jeff Nova will return to 21CW and address what happened last week.

K’Lee Hawkins versus Stevie Stoat

<a href="

http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=KLeeHawkins.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/KLeeHawkins.jpg" border="0" alt="K'LEE HAWKINS"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=StevieStoat.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/StevieStoat.jpg" border="0" alt="STEVIE STOAT"></a>

It appears in the early going of the match that Stoat has underestimated K’Lee Hawkins as the Geordie rallies back against Stoat and forces him to the outside. Stoat’s confident demeanour for a short while appears to be broken, but as he climbs back into the ring, he merely decides to resort to cheating to win. Stoat uses every trick in the book in an effort to put Hawkins away, he holds the tights, he puts his feet on the ropes, he hits Hawkins with low blows, but to no avail. Ironically the ending came to the match when Hawkins slipped up for a split second and Stoat managed to connect with his Super Kick and covered for the victory, a clean victory.

Winner: Stevie Stoat

As the match concludes, Stevie Stoat shouts for a microphone and is promptly given one by a ringside attendant.

“ Another victory for 21CW’s franchise player, I’m winning left, right and centre. I am beating whoever they throw in front of me."

Stoat pauses to revel in the crowd's hatred for him

"I need a new challenge...... I need an open challenge. So I have formulated a master plan, that's right, the Franchise Player has come up with an ingenious idea to defeat even more wannabes. My great idea is the first ever edition of Stevie Stoat’s Open Invitational Challenge, where I will face anyone stupid enough to step up and face me and it’s on the card for Steel Cage Challenge and the Franchise Player Stevie Stoat will beat another unfortunate, only this time on Pay Per View”

Stoat drops the microphone and heads off backstage, strutting all the way

Adam Matravers and Daniel Black Francis versus Rolling Johnny Stones and Jonathan Faust

<a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=AdamMatravers-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/AdamMatravers-1.jpg" border="0" alt="ADAM MATRAVERS"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=DanielFrancis.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/DanielFrancis.jpg" border="0" alt="DANIEL BLACK FRANCIS"></a> VS <a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=JohnnyStones.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/JohnnyStones.jpg" border="0" alt="ROLLING JOHNNY STONES"></a><a href="http://s691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/?action=view&current=JonathanFaust.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv271/alexrogue01/21CW%202/JonathanFaust.jpg" border="0" alt="JONATHAN FAUST"></a>

This is an incredibly open match, with all four men showing why they are such highly valued members of the 21CW roster. Matravers and Faust spend a good amount of time fighting each other and adding to their heated rivalry, while Francis is throughout the match looking to get revenge for Stones’ tainted win over him last week. There is a lot of action in the match, that comes with having Matravers, Francis and Stones in the same match, there is a great deal of high flying action as Matravers flies to the outside for a crossbody onto Faust and then Johnny Stones connects with a moonsault onto DBF. The match does come to the end when the sneaky Faust hits Matravers with a chair while Stones distracts the referee. Faust covers Matravers as the referee turns around and counts 1-2-3.

Winners: Jonathan Faust and Rolling Johnny Stones

As we come back from a commercial break, DJ Reason stands up from the announce booth and takes a microphone, heading to the ring.

“ Nightmare, this is a challenge. This is my challenge to you.....for what you did to my friend Jeff Nova. Now people might question my sanity but let me explain why I would willingly challenge a crazed, demented lunatic. You see, I am a loyalist, I am loyal to 21st Century Wrestling and to the man who gave me a chance to appear on national tv and make money for my kids, Jeff Nova. So when you attacked him, when you attacked the man who gave me a golden opportunity and who put a roof over my head, you attacked me and now we’ve reached this and come two weeks time at Steel Cage Challenge we’ll be facing off one on one and I swear revenge for Jeff, I'm ending this stupid Order before it gets started”

Reason returns to the ring, with a look of icy rage on his face.

Pit Bull Brown versus Leo Price

These two men clashed last week in tag action, but here they meet in singles action. In the early going of the match Pit Bull Brown looks very strong, he powers through Price, much to the delight of the fans. Eventually Leo Price craftily connects with a thumb to the eye of Brown and the match becomes a more even sided affair with Leo constantly cheating in an attempt to keep on top of “Bad” Pit Bull Brown. The match continues with Brown connecting with a huge Samoan drop which very nearly ends the match, but Price manages to get his shoulder up at the last second, meaning the match continues. Price himself very nearly puts Brown away following a massive superplex from the top rope, but this time it was Brown’s turn to kick out at two and half. Following a double clothesline with both men hitting each other simultaneously the two men struggle to get to their feet for a ten count, as the ten count gets closer, Kathleen Lee hops up on the apron and distracts the official. The referee is completely distracted, when a mystery figure leaps over the barrier and strikes the now standing Pit Bull Brown in the back of the head, Price leaps to his feet and connects with a Price Drop. The referee turns around and counts the 1-2-3. Leo Price celebrates his victory as the mystery figure unveils to reveal himself as.....Kevin Jones.

Winner: Leo Price

The match has ended but it makes no difference to Leo Price and Kevin Jones as they continue to pound Pit Bull Brown down on the mat, as the two men dominate the injured Brown, Joss Thompson’s music storms out of the PA system and he charges to the ring, chair in hand, he hits the ring and Price wisely dives from the ring. Kevin Jones is not so lucky, he finds himself struck in the head with the steel chair and then Thompson follows up with a Clean Cutter for good measure. Joss Thompson helps Pit Bull Brown up as he stares a hole into Leo Price, who is retreating up the entrance ramp. This image ends the show.
