TCW: The Never Ending Journey

Good show. Apologies for missing predictions. Not sure how I managed that one.

As for the question asked on the previous page, I'm with PS - stick with what has worked so far, unless you have signfiicant reason to change. If you found this format too time-consuming and wanted something faster, then I would say explore options. But if its works for you, that's pretty near as important as working for the readers. If you don't have people saying its difficult to read and/or they avoid reading because of that difficulty, then you risk "messing with a good thing".

No worries.

Yeah, I have pretty much decided to stick with what is working as nobody has said that anything I'm doing is spectacularly wrong. Thanks for the advice.

The card for Total Mayhem XV should be up shortly.

Total Mayhem XV, Sunday of Week 4, May 2010

The biggest night in TCW, indeed the biggest night in the professional wrestling calendar, Total Mayhem is here this Sunday for its 15th instalment. Expect the best professional wrestling has to offer and what a PPV it is shaping up to be.

To kick of the PPV we will see Gino Montero defending his All-Action title in an open invitational against some of the best the division has to offer. Eric Tyler was inundated with requests from a multitude of participants and together with the board, a select few have been chosen for the match. Those men are UK Dragon, Axxis Jr., Chance Fortune, Fumihiro Ota and Hell Monkey. With such a wide variety of styles in this match we could easily see a new champion crowned.

The second contest of the night promises to be nothing short of brutal as The Great White, Eddie Peak takes on the Physical Phenom, Remo Richardson in what Eric Tyler has called a “Relaxed Rules” match. Having torn each other apart over the past four weeks the realisation that the match may well end in a disqualification forced Tyler’s hand into giving the competitors some lee-way in regards to what they can and can’t do. All we know is that we do not envy the referee for this one.

The TCW World Tag Team titles will be on the line shortly thereafter as The New Wave prepare to take on The Machines and Champagne Caviar where the first pinfall or submission will end the contest. It is no secret that these three teams don’t see eye-to-eye and on the grandest stage of them all, we will undoubtedly be treated to some of the best tag team wrestling the sport has to offer due to the sheer talent that these competitors possess. Who will emerge victorious on the night is still far from certain.

TCW will witness a rare ladder match when reigning International champion and self-proclaimed Rock God, Sammy Bach takes on the high-flying fan favourite, Benny Benson. As the challenger was the man to choose the stipulation for this title contest, one would imagine that the ball is well and truly in his court. Can the Prince Of Percussion leave Total Mayhem with his title still intact or will a new king be crowned?

The twenty man Golden Shot Gauntlet will take centre stage next as members of the TCW roster aim to earn a guaranteed World title shot whenever they please by surviving nineteen other men in an over the top rope encounter. The list of names to compete is impressive and only two things are certain; Aaron Andrews is unlucky number one whilst Troy Tornado has the coveted twentieth spot. Will either man be the last remaining participant or will luck bestow one of the other eighteen as the inaugural Golden Shot contract winner?

Two of the biggest names in professional wrestling history will decide their unwritten best of three series in a thirty minute iron man match. Both men were at one time allies under The Syndicate suit but now things are very different. Which of these former multi-time world champions will outlast the other; Sam Keith and Tommy Cornell may very well steal the show and considering this is Total Mayhem, it would suit Cornell just fine.

Which leaves us with the main event of the evening; Total Mayhem XV will be headlined by the TCW World Heavyweight champion, Rocky Golden as he looks to successfully defend the title against The Outlaw, Ricky Dale Johnson and the inaugural King Of Mayhem, Joey Minnesota. This past Tuesday on Total Wrestling we were left with the image of Joey Minnesota lifting the championship gold; is it his time? Can the former TCW World Heavyweight champ, RDJ show that he is still at the top of his game or will Rocky Golden once again prove that he is the best in TCW today?

Matches will be won and lost and tears of joy and sorrow will be shed. Who can cement their place in the annals of professional wrestling? Be sure to order Total Mayhem XV this Sunday, you won’t want to miss out!

It is really interesting for me to see who you guys have predicted for the winner of the Golden Shot Gauntlet as the field is quite big and it would appear that the bookies are making Remo Richardson an early favourite with Wolf Hawkins, Tory Tornado and Marc DuBois distant contenders.

This show will unquestionably take a fair while to write considering the type of matches involved and the significant importance of the PPV. Hopefully the Gauntlet should be fairly enjoyable to write up as I have always found Royal Rumbles to be enjoyable. The iron man match is another that may take up a large chunk of time to compose but again, I look forward to the challenge. Thanks to all who have predicted thus far, it really does mean a lot to me.

You know, stop him from crossing the line like when he attempted to fire Ricky Dale Johnson back in February; not coincidently, the same night I made my TCW television debut. I think there are two big changes that have been brought around in no small part thanks to me. Firstly the King Of Mayhem tournament that we held back in April to crown a number one contender for the TCW World Heavyweight title was my idea. I just like tournaments as a general rule in wrestling and I thought that with a challenger being determined for the biggest PPV of the year, Total Mayhem, it would spice up TCW as a whole, you know; garner a bit more interest. The other big change is the Golden Shot Gauntlet that will be debuting at Total Mayhem XV; twenty men in an over the top battle royal to see who will earn a guaranteed world title shot for whenever they want in the following year. A novel concept that if truth be told, RDJ suggested to me back in March. I took his initial idea, tweaked it where required and presented it to the board who gave it the go ahead and here we are.</div></div><div id=""></div></div></div><div style="clear: both; position: relative; padding: 5px; margin: 5px 0pt; height: auto; border: 1px solid transparent;"> <div style="font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; display: block;"><div id=""><em id="">And here he is. Another, more ego-centric man would revel in such accomplishments, but Eric Tyler seems to be a man content to do the job he has been asked to do without the glory. It becomes clear that my failure to tie him down for an interview in the past has been because the man simply has too much on his plate, yet, like a modern day Oliver Twist, he always asks for more!</em></div></div> </div><div style="position: relative;"><img style="float: left;" src="http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/EricTylerALT.jpg" alt="Speaker" height="113px" width="113px"><img style="position: absolute; left: 103px; top: 53px;" src="http://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png" height="20px" width="22px"><div style="font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; position: relative; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% rgb(255, 255, 255); margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 123px; padding: 7px; border-radius: 7px 7px 7px 7px; width: 549px; top: 0px;"><div style="" id=""><div id="">One of the first things I wanted to improve upon is the depth of talent in the tag team and All-Action divisions. A little fact which I haven’t actually shared with the audience yet is that I have been given the power to hire new talent to the TCW roster and since the day I started this job I have been viewing tapes from workers all around the world. If they are good at what they do then believe me when I say that they are on my radar. I want to keep my finger on the pulse of professional wrestling and by looking for the stars of tomorrow today; I can ensure that TCW stays at the forefront of this industry.</div></div><div id=""></div></div></div><div style="clear: both; position: relative; padding: 5px; margin: 5px 0pt; height: auto; border: 1px solid transparent;"> <div style="font-size: 16px; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; display: block;"><div id=""><em id="">Wary of taking up too much of his time, I move the conversation on towards TCW's upcoming PPV Extravaganza, Total Mayhem XV, an event that has Tylers fingerprints all over it, and one he is all to happy to discuss.</em></div></div> </div><div style="position: relative;"><img style="float: left;" src="http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/EricTylerALT.jpg" alt="Speaker" height="113px" width="113px"><img style="position: absolute; left: 103px; top: 53px;" src="http://fictionplus.interwebz.co.nz/images/layout/sbpointer/sb-pointer-ffffff-l.png" height="20px" width="22px"><div style="font-size: 16px; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; position: relative; background: none repeat scroll 0% 0% rgb(255, 255, 255); margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 123px; padding: 7px; border-radius: 7px 7px 7px 7px; width: 550px; top: 0px;"><div style="" id=""><div id="">In professional wrestling the biggest prize is and always will be the world heavyweight title. The above was an interview conducted by BoomKing with TCW's Eric Tyler. A big thank you for the opportunity that "TCW: The Never Ending Journey" was afforded by being the first article in the TEW magazine; a really great concept that I suggest all forum dwellers peruse and support for its duration.

On a side note, the Golden Shot Gauntlet took six pages in Microsoft Word to write and was great fun to construct. Hopefully it will be well received when I post the Total Mayhem show later this week. Prediction makers are of course, welcome as always.

An elaborate pyrotechnic display kicks off the PPV with a bang; the colours and lights as vibrant as they are bright. The arena goes dark as soon as the smoke from the fireworks begin to fade away, the big screen above the entranceway flickers into life with the video package for TCW’s biggest PPV of the year.

Still images of TCW World Heavyweight champions over the past fifteen years fade in and out of sight, the images black and white to re-enforce the prestige and history of the company. The greats of years gone by stand with the gold proudly raised in the air after victory. Arguably the biggest star in professional wrestling history, Sam Strong celebrates with the fans as audio of the crowd at the first Total Mayhem is heard with soundbites of commentators decreeing Strong the first champion of TCW having defeated Rip Chord in their infamous encounter.

The current owner of MAW, Rip Chord fades into screen shortly thereafter with the TCW World Heavyweight championship resting on his lap following his victory over Sam Strong a few months later.

Perhaps the most successful big man the sport has ever seen follows as BLZ Bubb clutches the title gold over his right shoulder whilst staring down on the broken form of Sam Strong following his second reign with the belt.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/BLZBubb-1.jpg

Fan favourite Liberty jubilantly hoists the title in the air to the delight of the crowd having upset the heaviest of odds by defeating the monstrous BLZ Bubb in a brutal affair. The tears in rolling down the cheeks of the new champion tell the story better than any words could achieve.

The Godfather of TCW, Tommy Cornell has the torch passed onto the new generation as he is seen with the title secured around his waist having beaten Rip Chord in what proved to be one of the legends’ final matches.

The mighty Dread snatches the title away from the referee after defeating Liberty in a one-sided beatdown that culminated with three straight Dread Bombs. He would reign atop TCW for seven long months.

Ricky Dale Johnson salutes the crowd after finally beating Tommy Cornell at Malice In Wonderland. The Outlaw would go on to hold the title for almost an entire year. The Texas native receives a warm response from the crowd when he is handed the championship gold.

The current TCW World Heavyweight champion, Rocky Golden stands on the second rope with both arms raised; the powerful youngster having dethroned Tommy Cornell this past August.

As the final image fades away, the three men who will be competing for the gold tonight appear on screen; each man holding the title in the air although the still of Minnesota is from the end of Tuesday night following the jump on RDJ and Golden.

A highlight package comprising all the matches scheduled on the card follows with particular emphasis on the Golden Shot Gauntlet and the twenty men participating. The video reaches a crescendo as the PPV is now ready to commence.

Gino Montero © vs Axxis Jr. vs UK Dragon vs Chance Fortune vs Fumihiro Ota vs Hell Monkey

A six man scramble is more often than not difficult to keep up with even for the best of commentators, but fortunately for TCW, Jason Azaria is able to match the action with clear and precise verbalisation of what the audience is witnessing.

Axxis and Montero take to the air with relative ease whilst Dragon and Monkey seem more inclined to implement a ground based offensive in an attempt to earn a victory. Ota remains focused on picking his spots with swift kicks and throws and almost picks up the victory on more than one occasion. For his part, Fortune is more inclined to pander to the crowd in an attempt to gain their support in this outing with a certain degree of success.

Fortune ducks a flying savate kick of Ota and hits the Stroke Of Luck of his own. The cover is interrupted by UK Dragon who lifts Fortune to a standing base as Hell Monkey connects with a Tumbling Monkey. The UK Dragon narrowly avoids a second Tumbling Monkey and turns into a Dragon Drop to down Sammy Bach’s associate. Axxis Jr. is atop the turnbuckle and takes flight with a Gravity Axxisault, landing on top of Dragon as he attempts the pin. Axxis rolls into a cover of his own just as Montero takes flight with a picturesque Montero Press driving the wind out of both Axxis Jr. and UK Dragon. The TCW All-Action champion somehow manages to retain his title in a fast moving, high octane battle with the pin attempt that follows.

Gino Montero defeated Axxis Jr. via pinfall to retain the All-Action title

Eddie Peak vs Remo Richardson w/Carl Batch

Peak makes his way to the ring with his trusty blood stained chain in tow; rattling along the steel grating as it trails. Peak eagerly awaits his opponent who emerges wearing a black jacket with the hood up concealing his stony expression; the lettering on the clothing reads “The Physical Phenom” and on the back “I’mma Break ya!”

Carl Batch struts his way down the aisle not too far behind his client with a broad smile from ear to ear; periodically performing his trademark laugh before getting in the face of a vocal fan. The Physical Phenom bounces from one foot to the other as he shadow boxes beside the ring; not once does he take his eyes off The Great White. In one powerful leap, Remo lands on the apron and deftly floats over the top rope to meet a charging Peak who swings with a chain-wrapped right hand before the official bell sounds.

This sets the tone for the entire match. It isn’t pretty but it sure is damn entertaining. The Great White showing his predatory instinct early on knowing that Remo can explode at any moment and for the first time in his TCW career, The Physical Phenom looks like he is in trouble under the barrage of a determined Eddie Peak. Batch, for all his exuberant mannerisms, knows how to aid his clients and does just that in this match, jumping onto the apron to distract his former friend.

Peak switches his attention to Batch and thunders towards him with the managerial pimp only just able to drop off the apron in the nick of time. Remo is standing in a three point stance waiting as The Great White begins to turn. The Physical Phenom charges, tackling Peak with all the force he can surmount, sending him back first into the ropes with such power and velocity that the top and middle ropes snap under the duress causing both men to crash to the floor with a sickening thud. The crowd erupt into a chant of “Holy S***!” Neither man looks likely to move as Sam Sparrow begins his count and by eight, only Remo is stirring. Batch is rapidly yelling encouragement at his charge as Remo shakes his head to try and work out where he is, rolling into the ring just before Sparrow reaches ten.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/AaronAndrewsALT.jpghttp://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TroyTornadoALT.jpg

As the ring crew get to work on repairing the ropes, the TCW cameras take us backstage where we see Aaron Andrews trying to psych himself up for the Golden Shot Gauntlet later tonight. A hand on his shoulder interrupts his thought process as Troy Tornado takes a seat beside him.

Tornado: “How’s it going Aaron? Thinking about tonight no doubt.”

Aaron smiles.

Andrews: “Kinda hard to think about anything else right now ya know.”

Tornado nods in response.

Tornado: “Yeah, I know what you mean. Just look at it this way man; tonight you have an opportunity to take TCW by storm. Show the world what Aaron Andrews is all about!”

Aaron looks at Troy and nods in agreement.

Tornado: “Now with all due respect, don’t think that you will have it easy tonight. After all, you will be the first entrant in the Gauntlet and there are a lot of talented guys who want that world heavyweight championship match that is being dangled before them.”

Andrews: “Oh believe me I’m well aware of what lies ahead and I am prepared to go the distance.”

Tornado chuckles slightly before heartily patting Andrews on the back.

Tornado: “I hope you’re right Aaron, I really do. Who knows it may come down to just you and me.”

Tornado stands to leave the room. Just as he reaches the door he pauses.

Tornado: “See you out there dude.............oh, then again, maybe I won’t.”

Aaron laughs as Tornado playfully goads him.

The New Wave © vs The Machines vs Champagne Caviar w/Cuervo

Guide and Scout start the strongest of the three teams by knocking both Champagne Lover and Nicolas Lopez off the apron into the ringside barrier before beginning to trade blows with Hill and Anderson. The Machines hold their own in a rugged environment but are ultimately overwhelmed by the champs.

The match continues on a more even keel when Caviar return to the fray with all three teams giving a good showing; Cuervo on the outside providing an unwanted distraction for both The Machines and The New Wave with her hypnotic hip swaying. Lover and Lopez take over with quick paced offence as a result, including a snap suplex on both Hill and Anderson before delivering sit-out front suplexes on Guide and Scout, dropping them across The Machines.

Hill and Anderson take their turn to run the show with technical proficiency shortly thereafter that is on a par with the best in the business; trying to physically dissect their opponents with ground based holds and throws. Champagne Caviar receive the worst of the beating and wind up writhing on the floor outside as Cuervo tends to them. For five straight minutes we see The New Wave and The Machines revisit some of the most memorable moments of their long standing feud with signature moves and sequences. Hill is dropped with a double team Guided Missile before Anderson can intercept leaving the remaining member of The Machines at the mercy of the tag team champions. Guide and Scout ascend adjacent turnbuckles in preparation of their patented Wave Of Mutilation which connects wickedly with Anderson, leaving him motionless in the middle of the ring.

A nod of the head between Lover and Lopez sees the Mexican duo slide back into the ring and capitalise on Guide and Scout recuperating from the Wave by delivering a Lopez Buster to the former and a Champagne Sunrise to the latter. Lover slides into the cover on Scout immediately and TCW have new tag team champions.

Champagne Caviar defeated The New Wave and The Machines via pinfall to win the Tag Team titles

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/SammyBachALT.jpg vs http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/BennyBensonALT2.jpg

Sammy Bach © vs Benny Benson

The two competitors start relatively cautiously, circling one another before finally locking up. A snapmare followed by a sharp kick to the small of the spine sends Bach scrambling outside of the ring as he winces with the impact of the blow. The self-proclaimed Rock God is quick to introduce a ladder into proceedings and hurriedly scoops one of the metal structures up as he goes to slide it into the ring. Benson is alert to the danger and dashes across the ring to deliver a baseball slide dropkick, sandwiching the ladder against the International champion’s face.

The ladder acts as a third man for much of the match with both champion and challenger using it as a weapon to aid their cause. Bach at one point delivers a superplex from atop the turnbuckle dropping both himself and Benson across the cold framework. Benny has the heart of a warrior and refuses to stay down following the move as he slowly rises to his feet to grab a hold of Bach’s leg as he flails for the title belt secured above the ring. Benson is shoved away with a stiff boot but rebounds to hit a dropkick to the ladder sending the International champion hurtling towards the ropes which he unfortunately straddles.

Both men are weary and struggling to continue as they slug away at each other atop the ladder; each punch threatening to send the recipient to the canvas below. Benson hooks the neck of Bach and signals The Shockwave From Next Year may be on the way but as he removes his feet from the rungs of the ladder, Bach thrusts the challenger free and he lands in a heap on the floor leaving Bach enough time to unhook the International belt from its perch.

The cameras take us backstage into The Syndicate locker room where Tommy Cornell has gathered both Marc DuBois and Wolf Hawkins before him. The steely look of determination in the cerebral Englishman’s eyes reveals his mood. The sense of tension in the room is palpable and DuBois and Hawkins stand as far apart as possible without making it too obvious that this is their intention.

Cornell: “Right, now I’ve explained everything to both of you; you understand what you need to do yeah?”

Hawkins and DuBois briefly glare at one another before nodding their heads in unison.

Cornell: “Now remember; don’t do anything until you get my signal, got it!?”

Once again, the two youngsters nod in agreement, neither man saying a word.

Jasmine Saunders stands proudly in the ring, her feminine charm captivating as she readies herself to deliver the rules of the upcoming contest.

Saunders: “Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time for the Golden Shot Gauntlet match. The rules for the contest are as follows:

- Two men will begin the match

- Every two minutes or after, a new participant will enter the match according to the number he drew.

- Eliminations occur when a wrestler is thrown over the top rope with both feet touching the floor.

- This will continue until all twenty men have entered the match and nineteen of them have been eliminated.

- The last man left standing will be declared the winner and will be presented with the Golden Shot Briefcase which contains a contract that will enable them to challenge for the TCW World Heavyweight championship whenever they so choose within the next year.

- Let’s get this Gauntlet started and introduce to you the man who will be entering at number one!

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/AaronAndrewsALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 1Aaron Andrews

The excitement in the crowd begins to build as “Ace Of Spades” hits and Aaron Andrews makes his way to the ring. The first graduate of the TCW training academy is hyped up for this match and enthusiastically glad-hands the fans on his way to the ring where he awaits the man who drew number two.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/ChanceFortuneALT2.jpg

Entrant Number# 2Chance Fortune

A big smile spreads across the face of Andrews as “California Love” hits and his occasional tag team partner Chance Fortune makes his way to the ring. The crowd seem happy that they will get to see the two compete and as Fortune slides into the ring, the match officially gets underway.

The two friends start with a handshake before locking up. Fortune is still stinging from not emerging victorious in the All-Action title match earlier and begins to try and implement a high risk offensive style in order to keep Andrews guessing. Chance leaps onto the middle rope and looks to hit a tornado DDT but Andrews catches his comrade and looks to dump him over the top rope. Fortune lands on the apron and elbows Double A in the jaw for his troubles. Andrews stumbles back a step or two before charging at Fortune. The former All-Action champion is ready and leaps back into the ring via the top rope, using Andrews back as a platform to spring off. Andrews turns to meet his friend with a big right hand that Chance narrowly avoids and he delivers a sweetly placed dropkick in return. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/HellMonkeyALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 3Hell Monkey

As “Welcome To The Jungle” hits, Hell Monkey charges into the ring and immediately begins to unload with stiff kicks on Fortune who he was earlier competing against. Andrews sits in the corner as he gathers his breath whilst his partner valiantly tries to weather the storm against the latest entrant. Monkey has Fortune set for a powerbomb type manoeuvre but Chance shifts his weight to slip out the back door, connecting with a neckbreaker on the way down. Andrews returns to the action and picks Monkey up to deliver a death valley driver as Fortune takes flight from the top rope to land an impressive legdrop just as Monkey lands on the canvas. The action is picking up in pace as the clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/EddStoneALT2.jpg

Entrant Number# 4Edd Stone

“Crazy Train” can only mean one man and Edd Stone sprints to ringside before completing a crazy flip to enter the ring via the middle rope. Stone runs past Andrews and Fortune as he bounces to the top rope in one jump and leaps high to hit a Pheonix Splash on both members of The L.A. Connection. Stone isn’t finished there as he climbs the turnbuckle, jumps high, spins, bounces off the top rope for a second time and mimics the Montero Press almost perfectly. The brash Canadian smiles as he kneels on the floor and this allows Hell Monkey to hit a hellacious Shining Wizard, dropping Stone like a bad habit. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/GregKeithALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 5Greg Keith

“Youth and Whiskey” signals the arrival of Greg Keith and he goes right to work on the four men in the ring, each one receiving a suplex of some form; a belly-to-belly for Fortune; a German for Monkey and a pair of belly-to-back suplexes for Andrews and Stone. Greg looks to keep up momentum as he tries to dump Edd Stone to the outside but the Canadian holds onto the top rope for dear life and Greg is eventually blindsided by Hell Monkey with a crane kick to the temple. Andrews and Fortune seem to be working together as a unit, trying to eliminate each man in turn but with no success. Fortune tries to use this opportunity to toss Double A over but Andrews reverses and nearly eliminates Chance in return. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/EddiePeakALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 6Eddie Peak

“Twisted Transistor” pops the crowd as The Great White emerges at the top of the entranceway. The sheer fury etched on his face spells danger for the men in the ring as Peak can smell blood in the water; the hunt begins. Peak is dominant and it is all the other competitors can do just to stay out of range. Hell Monkey is the first to brave the waters as he sharply rolls forward to deliver the Tumbling Monkey only to have his leg trapped by Peak, lifted high into the air and dropped to the floor outside. Fortune is quick to throw a kick at The Hardcore Assassin and looks to follow up with The Stroke Of Luck, but as he hooks his leg over the neck of his target, Peak powers to his feet with Fortune still in his grasp and dumps him over the side of the ring and to the floor. Greg Keith, ever determined, clasps his hands around Peak and attempts to hit a German suplex on the behemoth but The Great White is just too heavy for the youngster and is soon hip-tossed over the top rope and to the floor for his troubles. Stone takes flight one more time from the top of the turnbuckle looking to connect with a missile dropkick on Eddie Peak but The Hardcore Assassin simply steps to one side and Stone instead hits Aaron Andrews. Peak picks up the mess that Stone has created and launches him damn near into the front row of the crowd. No; Stone has caught himself on the barricade without letting his feet touch the floor. The agile former All-Action champion springs to his feet and runs across the barricade before gracefully leaping.......into a right hand from Peak that knocks him clean out onto the floor. The clock counts down from ten to one.

Eliminations: Hell Monkey, Chance Fortune, Greg Keith and Edd Stone

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/AmericanBuffaloALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 7American Buffalo

“Bring It On” plays through the arena speakers and the intimidating client of Floyd Goldworthy, American Buffalo slowly marches to the ring. Eddie Peak licks his lips in anticipation as the big man strides over the top rope to square off with The Great White. The two men go nose to nose as the noise from the crowd picks up. Buffalo strikes first with a hard left that staggers Peak. The Hardcore Assassin returns with one of his own and Buffalo is sent into the ropes. Peak charges at the former Morpheus to hit a decapitating clothesline, but a big boot stops him in his tracks. Buffalo fires back, knocking Peak up against the ropes as he struggles to regain his senses. The Buffalo takes a few strides backwards as he ducks his head and prepares for The Stampede. Peak has the move scouted and uses the momentum of Buffalo to lift him over the top rope and crashing to the floor. Andrews who has been somewhat forgotten is now back on a vertical basis and lining up Peak for the Triple A-D. Unfortunately, Peak is simply too big and Double A is forced to cower under the immense weight allowing The Great White to power Andrews up and deliver The Peak Of Perfection. The clock counts down from ten to one.

Elimination: American Buffalo

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/RemoRichardsonALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 8Remo Richardson

“You Can Hate Me Now” sounds as the Physical Phenom begins to motor towards the ring; both he and Peak have welcoming smiles on their faces. The two collide with thunderous force and the brawl takes them to all four corners of the ring as each man takes it in turn to deliver the punishment. Peak goes for a clothesline that Remo manages to duck under and the Physical Phenom follows up with a Lung Blower to put Peak down. Remo lifts The Hardcore Assassin up and with relative ease hoists him over his shoulder. Remo takes Peak to the ropes before trying to vault The Great White into the depths below. Peak can do little to stop his own momentum but he does grab a hold of Remo’s neck with all his might causing the Physical Phenom to follow Eddie over the top rope and to the floor eliminating both competitors. As Aaron Andrews struggles to get to his feet he realises that he is the sole man left in the match. The clock counts down from ten to one.

Eliminations: Eddie Peak and Remo Richardson

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/OwenLoveALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 9Owen Love

“3’s And 7’s” hit and the Canadian technician, Owen Love swaggers out to the ring, making sure to tiptoe around Remo and Peak as he does so; the two monsters being shepherded to the back by a swarm of security. Love shifts his focus on Andrews as he nears the ring, removing his pink leopard print jacket before finally entering the match to face the worn down Double A. Love takes a moment to circle Andrews before picking the spot of least resistance and diving for a chopblock that sends Ace back to the canvas. Love continues to go to work on the legs and lower back of Andrews who is struggling to amount much in the way of credible offence. Owen lifts Andrews into the air as he sets for the Love Gun but Double A slips out the back door in the nick of time and as Love turns around, he is met with a spinebuster much to the delight of the crowd. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/BryanVessey.jpg

Entrant Number# 10Bryan Vessey

“I Don’t Wanna Stop” sees Bryan Vessey enter the fray and he and Love start to go hold for hold as Andrews catches a breather in the corner. Vessey gets a top wristlock, transitions into a hammerlock but before he can grab a side headlock, Love reaches back and clasps Vessey behind the head to propel himself into the air as he snaps himself back down to deliver a wicked snapmare on the former multi-time tag team champion. Vessey catches Love as he looks to go for a DDT and transitions into a Vessey Driver that Love only just avoids. The two stand off as Andrews begins to stir, charging with a knee-lift into the gut of Love, winding the Canadian. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/KoshiroInoALT6.jpg

Entrant Number# 11Koshiro Ino

“PRIDE: Victory” can only indicate the arrival of the Japanese Warrior, Koshiro Ino. The Kobra enters the ring and meets Vessey with a flurry of kicks to the chest that turns the veteran’s chest a bright shade of red. Ino tries to toss Vessey over and out but instinct kicks in and Bryan is able to hold on. Andrews continues to work away on Love and eventually drops him with a Triple A-D after Love refuses to be ejected from the match. The four men continue to try and eliminate one another with little success. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/RickLawALT3.jpg

Entrant Number# 12Rick Law

“I Fought The Law” brings TCW’s Renegade Officer into the Gauntlet and Law means business, levelling Ino instantaneously with a Long Arm Of The Law. Law has been absent recently on TCW television and looks to make up for lost time by hitting a Squad Car Slam on Bryand Vessey before booting Andrews over the top rope. Double A lands on the apron and rolls back into the ring whilst Law continues his rampage by military pressing Love high into the air before dropping him into a powerslam. The Renegade Officer is simply on fire and remains in charge of the other competitors for the duration of the two minutes following his entrance. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/ChampagneLoverALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 13Champagne Lover

“Return Of The Tres” sees one half of the newly crowned tag team champions, Champagne Lover saunter to the ring. Lover takes his time on the outside before entering the fray, doing his best to avoid the rampage of Rick Law who is still clearing house. The Mexican high-roller slyly positions himself behind Law and as the former fan favourite starts to take a step back, he is met with a Champagne Sunrise to the back of the skull. Andrews looks to get a shot in but Lover is alert and hits a second Champagne Sunrise only to get caught with the Kobra’s Bite moments later courtesy of the Japanese Warrior. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/MatthewKeithALT.jpg

Entrant Number#14Matthew Keith

“Youth And Whiskey” sees Greg’s brother, Matthew Keith storm to the ring and pick up where his tag team partner left off dropping a succession of suplexes on Lover, Andrews, Vessey and Ino before Owen Love puts a thumb in Keith’s left eye and Law follows up with a devastating tilt-a-world backbreaker. Vessey is quick to recover and he teams with Ino in an attempt to remove Law from the contest. The Renegade Officer holds on until he is eventually rescued by one half of the tag team champions, as Lover drops Vessey with a swinging neckbreaker over his knee. Ino goes to aid his temporary comrade but finds himself gutwrenched by Law, almost falling out of the ring completely in the process. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/DannyFonzarelliALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 15Danny Fonzarelli

“Love Gun” signals the arrival of TCW’s resident Love Doctor, Danny Fonzarelli who exuberantly high fives fans on his way to the ring, even handing his glasses to one lucky youngster sporting an official Love Doctor shirt before joining the masses. The ring is filling up and Fonzarelli finds it a struggle to deal out much punishment before being cut off by Law, Lover or Andrews. The Love Doctor does manage to pull off his patented Retro Rocket on Owen Love and land a mighty Samoan drop on Ino as he shows that he is one of the fresher pair of legs in the match but ultimately the numbers game catches up to him and the eight men in the ring take it in turns to try and eliminate the competition. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/NicolasLopezALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 16Nicolas Lopez

“Return Of The Tres” sees Champagne Caviar both in the match as The Untouchable, Nicolas Lopez sprints down to the ring and majestically leaps in between the middle and bottom ropes to unite with his partner. Champagne Caviar, the newly crowned tag team champions, double team every man in the ring with the smooth precision they have displayed over the past few months in TCW that led them to the tag team gold. As there are no other alliances in the ring forming, the Mexican duo are able to get away with whatever combinations and sequences they can think off until they are the only two men left standing. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/BennyBensonALT2.jpg

Entrant Number# 17Benny Benson

The infamous guitar solo of “Can’t Stop” introduce Benny Benson into the Gauntlet and although still wearing the wounds of war from earlier, the happy go lucky high-flyer takes to the match in style by ascending the top turnbuckle and taking out both Lover and Lopez with a blinding crossbody. Benson leaps to his feet to celebrate with the crowd and is lucky to avoid a Long Arm Of The Law as he does so. Benny ducks at just the right moment and almost eliminates Law as he rebounds into a hurricanrana that sends the Renegade Officer perilously close to being eliminated. Aaron Andrews has gone unnoticed for a while in the contest and looks to be getting a second wind as he fights back strong against Ino and connects with a running powerslam on the Japanese Warrior. The clock counts down from ten to one.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/MarcDuboisALT.jpg

Entrant Number# 18Marc DuBois

The powerful harmonics of “Sandstorm” blare through the arena speakers and after a few moments, The Model swaggers his way to the ring; the arrogant smile on his face enough to anger a good portion of the crowd. DuBois slips into the contest and almost immediately hits the Marc Of Excellence on Bryan Vessey, sending the oldest competitor in the ring over the top rope and to the floor. Meanwhile, on the opposite side of the ring, Double A has taken advantage of Matthew Keith and Nicolas Lopez grappling up against the ropes and eliminated both men with a well placed dropkick. DuBois seeks out his next target and glides his way towards Fonzarelli who is helping Ino try and fight off Rick Law. The clock counts down from ten to one.

Eliminations: Bryan Vessey, Nicolas Lopez and Matthew Keith

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/WolfHawkinsALT3.jpg

Entrant Number# 19Wolf Hawkins

The howling of a lone wolf followed by the heavy guitars of “Here Comes The Boom” sees the second Syndicate member, Wolf Hawkins appear at the top of the entranceway. Hawkins removes his white trimmed shades, aimlessly tossing them into the crowd before beginning his run to the Gauntlet. Wolf is well prepared as he is called into immediate action, having to avoid the on-rushing Fonzarelli who has been irish-whipped into his path by fellow Syndicate member DuBois. Hawkins ducks his head and back body drops the Love Doctor out of the match before offering the same fate to Owen Love who looked to capitalise. Ino and Law are still going at it, reliving their feud from earlier in the year; completely oblivious to what is going on around them. This proves to be costly as Hawkins and DuBois strike with stereo superkicks knocking both men over the top rope and out of the Gauntlet. The Syndicate are taking over. The clock counts down from ten to one.

Eliminations: Danny Fonzarelli, Owen Love, Koshiro Ino and Rick Law

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TroyTornadoALT3.jpg

Entrant Number# 20Troy Tornado

It should come as no surprise when “Rock You Like A Hurricane” plays through the arena speakers and Troy Tornado marches to the ring. Tornado looks in fine spirits although the determination in his eyes is unmistakable. He appears to smile at Andrews as he climbs in the ring, acknowledging the fact that the first TCW wrestling academy graduate has stuck to his word of lasting the distance. His focus is soon accosted by Lover who looks to connect with a Champagne Sunrise on the former front man of Painful Procedure, but Tornado ducks causing Lover to straddle the top rope. Troy is quick to take advantage and a running forearm sees Champagne crumple to the floor outside. A tap on the shoulder makes Tornado abruptly turn to face a man he once strongly disliked; Benny Benson smiles at his former adversary and the two begin to trade with ferocity as Benson surprisingly gains the upper hand. A Shockwave From Next Year looks to put Tornado away but for the second time in the evening, the moment Benson’s feet leave his perch, he is made to pay and Tornado uses the momentum to send Benson over the top rope and to the floor. Benson shakes his head as he gets up but smiles as Tornado offers an apologetic fist bump.

Eliminations: Champagne Lover and Benny Benson

So now we are down to the final four; the first entrant, the twentieth entrant and the two members of The Syndicate. Each man stands in a corner as the excitement in the arena builds. The four men exchange glances, perhaps Andrews and Tornado realise that they need to team up in order to counteract The Syndicate odds. Before too long Andrews sprints in the direction of Marc DuBois and staggers him with a flying forearm. Hawkins and Tornado sit back and observe in an attempt to conserve energy; content to let The Model and Double A slug it out. Andrews lifts DuBois on his shoulders and looks to dump him to the floor but the craft French-Canadian hangs on. Andrews turns to face Hawkins who points back in the direction of DuBois. Double A turns into a stiff kick in the midsection and from the apron, DuBois is able to suplex Andrews into the air and to the floor outside, finally eliminating the valiant youngster. The Model blows him a kiss before striding back into the ring where a kick sends him right back over the top and to the floor. DuBois lands with a loud thud and clutches his shoulder in agony as he looks back into the ring where Wolf Hawkins stands having just delivered the crucial blow. DuBois is incredulous as he yells at his Syndicate bretherin who simply shrugs in response. The Model has to be helped to the back by TCW medics who are supporting The Model’s injured shoulder.

Eliminations: Aaron Andrews and Marc DuBois

Tornado cannot stifle a laugh having just witnessed Wolf’s actions and offers a hand to Hawkins who takes a moment before ignoring the gesture. Tornado shrugs his shoulders as the two circle; one of these men will earn a shot at the TCW World Heavyweight championship and the desire of both men will be put to the test. They lock up and exchange a few holds before Wolf lashes out with a wild elbow strike that knocks Tornado to the floor. Hawkins picks up his opponent and charges toward the ropes, but the singer is able to slip out of his grip at the last moment. A Star Maker is narrowly avoided as is the Full Moon Rising that follows. The two men now stepping up the effort as the end is in sight. Tornado charges Wolf who looks to backdrop Troy out of the ring but he manages to shift in mid-air and land on the apron. Hawkins goes for a second attempt Full Moon Rising, but Tornado ducks his head and climbs back into the ring. Star Maker as Wolf returns to his feet. Troy hoists Hawkins onto his shoulder before thrusting him over the top rope to secure his World Heavyweight title contract. The inaugural Golden Shot Gauntlet winner has been crowned.

The golden briefcase is presented to the jubilant winner by Jasmine Saunders who takes a step back to applaud Troy Tornado as he lifts his guaranteed title shot contract high in the air much to the crowd’s delight.

30 Minute Iron-Man Match

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/SamKeith-1.jpg vs http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TommyCornellALT-1.jpg

Sam Keith vs Tommy Cornell

The two legendary figures square off in the middle of the ring as the anticipation of the crowd grows incrementally. Both men are muttering to one another under their breaths; steely determination plastered across the expression of Keith and Cornell as they prepare to lock up for a stellar encounter.

The two combatants take half a step back before lunging into a collar and elbow tie-up. The early exchanges are seamless, as Cornell and Keith trade hold and counter hold that invariably culminates in a multitude of smooth pin variations. Cornell has Keith in a sunset pin, Keith shifts his weight forward to trap the shoulders of the Englishman, The Syndicate leader rolls to the left to pin Keith. Sam rolls backwards to escape before jack-knifing Cornell in yet another pin attempt. The two break free into a stand-off as the crowd show their approval.

It is noticeable that Cornell periodically looks to the top of the entranceway momentarily before continuing to try and wear Keith down; Azaria theorises that this may have something to do with the conversation he had earlier with DuBois and Hawkins although no apparent signal is given by The Syndicate leader.

Keith remains focused throughout, not waning in his strategy to beat Mr TCW but Cornell starts to up his game and begins to outwork his older opponent with crisp combinations of suplexes and slams including a tight fisherman’s buster that very nearly earns him the first fall. Keith is wily and his decades of experience in the ring sees him fight his way back into the contest with a flurry of bone rattling forearms that Azaria claims he picked up from his time in Japan. Cornell is on the back foot and staggers into the corner as Keith readies for a corner splash. The living legend charges at Tommy but is met with a pair of boots to the face, knocking him back a step or two. He charges again but this time The Syndicate leader gracefully leapfrogs over him and hooks his arms for a backslide pin attempt. Keith rolls out at the count of two and aims for a heavy duty clothesline that whistles over the head of Cornell who grabs the arm of his adversary and drags him to the ground in a Guilt Trip. Keith is stranded in the middle of the ring and to preserve himself for the remainder of the contest, taps the mat at the fifteen minute mark to signal his submission.

Cornell = 1 Keith = 0

The thirty second respite sees Cornell pump himself up in the corner whilst Keith tries to shake his arm and neck loose. When the time expires, Cornell looks to earn a second straight fall as he ties up the arm for a second Guilt Trip, however, Keith is rarely caught in the same hold twice and is able to roll free. Cornell goes for it a third time and instead of simply rolling free, Keith transitions into a go behind and drops The Syndicate leader with a Neutron Plex. Somehow this seems to fire Cornell up as he immediately rises to his feet and swings wildly with a right hand that Keith has little trouble in evading. The Living Legend hooks Cornell for a second time and delivers another Neutron Plex that puts Cornell down with authority. Sam slides into a cover and the falls are all tied up with twelve minutes left of the thirty.

Keith = 1 Cornell = 1

Cornell is visibly the worst for wear as the match gets back underway and Keith slows the pace right down as a result, knowing that The Syndicate leader will have little in the way of defence. Keith methodically targets weak points of his opponent with lethal precision but every time he looks to put Cornell away, the resilient former TCW World Heavyweight champion kicks out. Keith is getting annoyed with Cornell’s persistence, an emotion that the veteran rarely displays. The Syndicate leader is getting a second wind and maybe it was a mistake on the part of Keith to slow the action down as Cornell begins to claw his way back into the match. The clock is down to two minutes and the sense of urgency understandably increases in both men. Cornell looks for the Rough Ride, no. Keith tries to hit a third Neutron Plex but Cornell elbows his way out before finally connecting with a Rough Ride on the second time of asking. The Englishman drags himself into a cover, one-two-thr....NO!

The shoulder of Sam Keith pops off the canvas as the referee’s hand lowers for a third time. Cornell puts his head in his hands before pleading with the ref for the three. Sam Sparrow refuses to back down and reiterates that the count was only two. Cornell is red in the face; the Englishman’s temper has been legendary over the years and he begins to furiously pace back and forth. Tommy slides underneath the bottom rope as he marches towards the commentary team where he pushes Kyle Rhodes completely off his chair before folding the steel weapon and turning back to his downed opponent. Keith begins to stir as Sparrow begs Cornell not to take a swing, reminding him that it will cost him a fall at such a late juncture. Mr TCW fights his conscious before cracking the steel on the ring post and throwing the mangled chair to the floor outside. Cornell turns back to finish off Keith who is back to a vertical base; but the veteran is ready and slaps Tommy down to the floor before gracefully floating over into the Proton Lock. Cornell is in real trouble as the clock reaches thirty seconds; clawing, scratching his way to the ropes before being dragged back to the centre of the ring. With ten seconds left it looks like we might be going into extra time but three seconds short of the final bell, Cornell taps the canvas twice to signal his surrender.

Keith rolls to his knees, completely drained following a hard fought battle. The Living legend sweeps his infamous blonde hair out of his face to reveal a weary smile. Keith slowly makes it to his feet and begins to clap the crowd in gratitude of their support and the audience gladly reciprocate.

http://i761.photobucket.com/albums/xx252/LoNdOn_BeAsT/TommyCornellALT-1.jpg

Cornell hooks the neck of the man who just defeated him and delivers a hellacious Rough Ride, dropping the Living Legend right on his face. The crowd erupt into a chorus of boos that rain down on The Syndicate leader who simply sneers in response.

Cornell lowers himself to one knee, staring at a motionless Sam Keith.

Cornell: “This is MY world Sam. Not yours!”

The Englishman looks to the top of the entranceway and beckons the supporting cast down to ringside.

Wolf Hawkins responds and is soon standing beside his mentor. Kyle Rhodes explains that DuBois has been taken to a nearby medical facility for a scan on his shoulder, hence his absence.

Cornell hands Hawkins a chair and the two stand poised to strike at Keith who is beginning to roll onto his stomach. Cornell is yelling at Keith and turns to Wolf to offer words of encouragement.

Cornell: “You said you could beat him; now show me what you can do!”

Hawkins nods and turns to face Keith who is now on one knee. Wolf pulls the chair back and swings.

CRACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

The sound of metal colliding with human skull is sickening but the crowd surprisingly burst into loud applause at the act. Tommy Cornell slumps to the floor as a trickle of blood seeps from his forehead; Hawkins having delivered the deadly chair shot to leader of The Syndicate. Sam Keith spins having heard the crack of steel and scrambles back to a corner seeing a Syndicate member with a weapon in their grasp. Hawkins, with the chair now in one hand, looks in Keiths direction and drops the chair at his feet before removing the sunglasses from his pocket and heading to the ring ropes.

Wolf slowly lifts the shades into place as portions of the crowd begin to chant his name. He straddles the second rope and coldly looks back at Cornell before flipping his mentor off and leaving both he and a stunned Sam Keith in the ring to head back up the aisle and out of sight.

Rocky Golden © vs Ricky Dale Johnson vs Joey Minnesota w/Dunton Hall

Each participant in the Total Mayhem main event are given a spectacular entrance to further cement the idea of significance of not only the match, but the stag that it will be transpiring. Golden comes out to a live version of “Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast”, Ricky Dale Johnson comes out all Texan’d up with big fanfare and a collegiate drum line whilst Minnesota is adorned in a new black leather ring jacket and accompanied by a spectacular firework display.

The three men take a moment to read the crowd as they scan those in attendance; Minnesota glaring more than anything else. The bell rings and Joey is immediately in the face of RDJ who happily returns fire with those big Southern right hands that sends Minnesota rocking and reeling out of the ring where Dunton Hall is ready to reassure the short tempered one. Golden and RDJ come face to face and the two big men go to work with neither seemingly getting the advantage of the heavy exchanges.

Minnesota sees that both men are occupied and uses the opportunity to climb the turnbuckle and wait for them to enter his range. The first King Of Mayhem takes flight and delivers a foot to both champion and fellow challenger’s faces, dropping them in a hurry. This is where Minnesota takes charge by taking it in turns to deliver punishment to each opponent. RDJ and Rocky appear to give a subtle nod to one another before bursting back into life and unloading on Joey with everything they have. An errant right hand from Golden busts the nose of the short tempered Minnesota and the sight of his own blood sends him into a frenzy.

Minnesota’s crosshairs settle on the head of the champion and he connects with a laboured Empire Spiral on the big man. RDJ strikes instantaneously with a Leaping Lariat before hooking the leg of Minnesota, one, two, NO! RDJ wastes no time and attempts to pin Golden who himself kicks out moments before the count of three. The Outlaw lifts Golden back to his feet and swiftly downs him once more with a case of Southern Justice but before he can make the cover, Minnesota blindsides him with his patented Minnesota Salute. Realising that the champion is the more weakened of the two, the inaugural King Of Mayhem hurriedly hooks the legs of Golden with all his might and referee Ray Johnson counts the three that sees the era of Joey Minnesota begin.

Joey Minnesota defeated Rocky Golden and Ricky Dale Johnson via pinfall to win the TCW World Heavyweight title

The new TCW World Heavyweight champion snatches the title away from Ray Johnson and begins his journey up the entranceway with Dunton Hall, who is rapidly clapping in approval. Joey Minnesota stops half way up the ramp as confetti begins to fall from the arena ceiling and fireworks light up the background.

A visibly angered Outlaw punches down on a turnbuckle as the former champion looks forlorn without the gold around his waist. Minnesota coolly lifts the title above his head as the blood continues to drip from his nose and Total Mayhem XV comes to a close.

Sweet show. Happy to see Minnesota take the belt. Another step forward for TCW. Interested to see where you are headed with Cornell and Hawkins.

Damn, you read that show quickly! :p

I felt that the time was right to take the title off Rocky and give it to someone who can pull out consistantly good/great matches with anybody who you put him in the ring with.

I'm pleased to hear that you are interested in the Hawkins/Cornell situation, it's something that I have teased for quite some time now. Hopefully the turn wasn't completely predictable at the PPV but enjoyable all the same. :)

I didn't zip through it that quick... Must have started reading right after you posted, cuz it took me a bit to get through it.

Figured it was just a matter of time before Cornell and Hawkins ended up feuding. Its too juicy of a feud not to do eventually.

Don't worry, I wasn't accusing you of skimming or anything. I just didn't realise you were Rainman 'tis all. :p

What were your thoughts on the Golden Shot Gauntlet out of interest? That badboy took a sweet chunk 'o time to compose.

Hawkins and Cornell often writes itself to be fair. As you said, it has all the components of a good feud, it's just a case of who to turn face out of the two.

I actually do look at results first, then read through it all.

I liked the format of the Golden Shot Gauntlet match. Such matches can hard to format in a way that makes it easy to read and get across the action. Not a problem with this one. Like seeing Tornado get the win, too. Dig seeing the core TCW guys still getting a strong push.

Thanks. The idea of not pushing TCW mainstays to the side as new talent appears is crucial. Whilst each new signing has their place, they have to fit in with everybody else rather than at their expense. Obviously over time certain workers will fade away like the Tag Team Specialists amongst others, but that is how the wrestling industry works anyway.

I also forgot to mention that TCW has a big announcement to make within the next week regarding a new relationship.

Weedoggie that was a nice show! :D I didn't do well on the prediction front but really enjoyed reading through it. I went with Golden to retain but am glad to see the belt on someone else. Nice way to turn Hawkins and look to see how this feud plays out.

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed the show.

I had noticed that the prediction scores on a whole were not that high and I was a little worried that this was a reflection of my booking decisions.

TCW Presents Total Wrestling, Tuesday of Week 1, June 2010

With Total Mayhem XV now in the record books, TCW will march forward with just as much fervour as they did walking in when they deliver another edition of Total Wrestling. But my word, what a night it was this past Sunday; new tag team champions, a new world heavyweight champion and an abrupt fracture within The Syndicate! The landscape of TCW has unquestionably shaken up

Rumour has it that Eric Tyler has requested to open the show with a big announcement; what said announcement pertains to, we are still unsure, but if Mr Tyler says it is big, we don’t doubt him. From what we understand, a certain TCW competitor is extremely unhappy that they are not opening the show instead of Mr Tyler; hopefully things go smoothly for all involved parties.

The opening contest will see The Keith Brothers take on the high flying duo of Edd Stone and Freddy Huggins, collectively known as The Canadian Animals, in what is sure to be a great tag team bout. Will Gino Montero be a man of his word and give Edd Stone the match he has so badly wanted? Will the Keiths be able to keep their impressive run of victories intact?

Bryan Vessey has been scheduled to compete against the Renegade Officer, Rick Law in singles action shortly thereafter. Neither man have exactly been turning up trees in TCW as of late, although Law did have an impressive run in Sunday night’s Golden Shot Gauntlet, so what better way than to earn a victory on Total Wrestling to further either man’s career. As we understand it, Rick Law was the man to request this match although he didn’t specify why he wanted Vessey.

TCW’s resident Love Doctor will have his work cut out for him when he squares off against the TCW International champion and self-proclaimed Rock God, Sammy Bach. Here at the TCW offices we have once again been bombarded with videos directed at Sammy Bach, hopefully for our sanity as much as anything else, the individual behind the videos will make themselves known sooner rather than later.

After an impressive performance in the Golden Shot Gauntlet on Sunday, Aaron Andrews will once again team up with Chance fortune as The L.A. Connection go up against the newly crowned TCW Tag Team champions, Champagne Caviar. Can the men from California upset the champs on their first show as champions or will the high-rollers notch up another impressive victory?

A big singles match will follow when The Outlaw, Ricky Dale Johnson takes on the former World Heavyweight champion, Rocky Golden. With both men having come up short in the main event of Total Mayhem, each will be trying their utmost to bounce back with a momentous win. There is no doubt that both men have their attention firmly set on the championship gold that is currently in the possession of Joey Minnesota and tonight may be a springboard to get them back in the ring with the King Of Mayhem.

Speaking of Joey Minnesota, he will be occupying the co-main event when he takes on the Japanese Warrior, Koshiro Ino in what is sure to be a great encounter. The new TCW World Heavyweight champion will no doubt want to make a statement that he is planning to keep the title for a very long time with a victory here.

The main event has all the potential to be an absolute barnstormer as Sam Keith partners Wolf Hawkins to take on the duo of Tommy Cornell and Marc DuBois. A lot of heat between these four promises an exciting contest to be had. Will Wolf explain his actions from Sunday because you have to believe Conell and DuBois have been asking a lot of questions?

All this and much more coming your way Tuesday night on GNN Total Sports. Be sure to tune in, you won’t want to miss out!
