I will be mainly working on tweaking stats/masks/gimmicks etc to start. It is highly likely this mod will be released with the 930 workers from previous versions (1083 cuts so everyone has a pic and then some). So for those who never knew what this was, here's a little backstory... TEW 2005: Having been bored to death with C-Verse, Historical Mods and Real World a guy named... well lets just say me... was trying to breath new life into his game. He had an idea... what if Mortal Kombat, Tekken & Street Fighter joined the C-Verse! So he began editing, however half way through modding he noticed... TEW 2007 to be released! Well... editing stops... TEW 2007: The Mod takes on a life of it's own! The idea to add 3 promotions based on MK, SF and Tekken to the C-Verse is scrapped, instead a new idea emerges. Feeling Nostalgic, a Thundercats promotion is added to the mix, shortly followed by The Turtles and DOA. GTA and Batman next get the nod followed by other game/cartoonbased promotions and workers. Diablo Kombat is born... I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX and finally after the X re-start, it get's it's name! It's been ported over, edited and added to in 2008's and 2010's TEW. So that's the boring inception of the idea if you will, now KOMBAT X is going to hopefully make it onto your laptop/desktop in 2011... still of course on TEW 2010. The Mod will start in August 2010 - because that's the last time I touched it! I've also edited 10 new locations into it (places from GTA4). It's about half gaming/comic/cartoon locations and half C-Verse. I've put in a little over 2 hours work today and am in need of a break (hence this update!) Another quick promotion spotlight? One of the womens promotions maybe? A nice challenging little promotion, however there are plenty of good, solid female workers out there to help establish this company as a legitimate contender. It'll take time but I had fun in the 3 test months I played this. Especially when Cheetara left Thundercats and became a threat to She-Hulks title reign! If I keep this rate up I could have something playable by Sunday! This morning I've gone through sex appeal (mainly for women). I have to admit I struggled on this one as I wouldn't know how to rate computer/cartoon characters in terms of this stat. Kinda just figured, "imagine they are a real person" and tried as best I could from that (also if there was a film made, I used the actress as a base - example Scarlett Johansen as The Black Widow in Ironman 2... or Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane etc...). I also went based off of what their "species would think" which is even more difficult when it comes to a Cheetara or Pumyra! Figured Lion-O would give them both a shot! Anyway, Quick Promotion overview... Tekken Tag Team Wrestling (T3W). http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/Frontiergfx/T3W.jpg Owner: Heihachi Mishima Head Booker: Kazuya Mishima Finances: $1,000,000 Status: Cult Prestige: C Momentum: C- Instead of the "default" 1 on 1 matches, Tekken uses 2 on 2 as it's default matches. This works pretty well in game, however King of the Ironfist event is set up so it is only 1 on 1 matches for the tournament to be played out properly by the AI. This just gives you something different when playing. I've not ever seen a tag team specific promotion before and just liked the idea. Obviously if you don't like this idea, a couple of seconds changing the set-up to 100% 1 on 1 isn't going to hurt you. I originally had a female tag team title, and a male tag team title however the female tag title always got abandoned and a "mixed" belt was created so I'm hoping the title set-up in place now works better. I decided to add a new promotion Kinnikuman Generations Wrestling and have spent the best part of 4 hours on it... (Oh it's M.U.S.C.L.E. for those not familiar with Kinnikuman). I didn't realise how many characters this thing had! I'm pretty sure I could just make a mod using these! Anyway, so far I think I'm up to 30 workers, 1 ref, 1 announcer, 1 manager). I may add a few of the workers into the free agents pool too as there are some great characters. Promotion spotlight on it you say? Well it isn't complete but I suppose I could share what I've got so far... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v260/Frontiergfx/KinnikGen.jpg Owner: Kinnikuman Head Booker: Terryman Finances: $1,000,000 Status: Cult Prestige: Undecided Momentum: Undecided Kinnikuman Generations (formerly Nisei until I found Nisei meant Junior) are probably one of the most fun promotions to play as in terms of characters if my test play is anything to go by (and work on it isn't even complete yet). I mean Bananaman vs. Chihuahuaman... that's Wrestlecrap GOLD in itself... maybe make it a 3 way with Bossam the Vacuum Cleaner and you have a card fit for... er... well. With the exception of the Tournaments, I'm a little stuck on titles (but that doesn't concern me at this point as something will come up). A diary from someone with this promotion is a must. I have chosen characters from different story "arcs" and put them together so you'll get some from the original (although they will be older workers) and some from the newer releases such as Kevin Mask from the Nisei arc, who is the son of Robin Mask from the original. Kinniku Mantaro the son of Kinnikuman etc... Robin and The Punisher are the inaugural champs Also, on my first show with them I decided to start a feud between Nightwing and The Red Hood and they have great chemistry together :D I have two story lines going; the previously mentioned Nightwing and Red Hood feud over the Night Ruler title and a six way feud over the Titan title featuring 3 faces and 3 heels. Faces Batman Ironman Superman Heels The Joker Vergil Negavolt(original character I am using for a user character) Negavolt won the belt at Dreams in Darkness and I'm going to hopefully have him hold the belt until I'm big enough for Spawn or Spider-Man to sign with me. AEG lost Spider-Man and Spawn easily. They're both too big for AEG right from the get go. When ND13 stole Spidey they gave him the Zombie Spider-Man character and I applaud you for putting that in! I've made ND-13 a high Cult promotion now instead of National so hopefully they'll stick to their own roster a little more (gonna test it) and upped the popularity of AEG so they aren't always losing Spider-Man and Spawn so easily. Wolverines not under any contract anywhere. I decided to keep Wolverine a free agent so there were a few big stars to snap up.
