Pre-Show: Slam Master J versus Joey Mercury

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes making his way to the ring. Rhodes says that this Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View he will defeat both Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to successfully retain his Intercontinental title. Ezekiel Jackson then joins Rhodes in the ring and is quick to grab the microphone out of Rhodes’ hand. Jackson says that he is sick and tired of hearing Rhodes brag about how he is going to retain the Intercontinental title this Sunday. Jackson says that it was simply a moment of weakness from him many months ago that allowed Rhodes to win the Intercontinental title, and that this Sunday, the weakness ends, and the domination begins again, as Jackson leaves Night of Champions as the new Intercontinental Champion. Rhodes says that Jackson is all brute and no brain, and heads to the back.

The Undertaker comes to the ring and declares that this Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View he will defeat the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio as well as Edge in a Triple Threat match to become the new World Champion. No one even comments on this. I would suggest you do more story lines reading through your diary it seems it's just very bland. You'll have two people in a feud but no specific storyline. Most of the angles are attacks or champions saying how their gonna retain. In short I want to read how each character is different.

The following contests are confirmed to take place at tonight’s WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View:

WWE Championship: The Miz © versus Mark Henry versus Sheamus

Back in June on an episode of Monday Night RAW, the Miz defeated then former New Nexus Leader CM Punk in a “Loser Leaves WWE” match to win the WWE Championship. Since then Miz has made two successful title defences, both in Triple Threat matches against both Mark Henry and Sheamus, with the first of those coming back at the WWE Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View in July and the second coming last month at Summerslam. Tonight Miz puts his title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Henry and Sheamus for a final time.

World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Edge vs. The Undertaker

Alberto Del Rio became World Heavyweight Champion for the very first time back in April at the WWE Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View in a Triple Threat match against both Christian as well as the former Champion Jack Swagger, and has since then gone to make five successful title defences. The most recent of these came last month at Summerslam when he defeated Edge to retain his title. The month before that, at the Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View, Del Rio was able to defeat the Big Show. Tonight Del Rio will face what may be his toughest challenge yet as he puts his title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Edge and the Undertaker.

United States Championship: John Morrison © vs. Mr. MITB Daniel Bryan vs. Primo

At the Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View back in April John Morrison defeated Primo in a Falls Count Anywhere match to become the new United States Champion. Since then Morrison has gone on to make four successful title defences including last month at Summerslam when he defeated Primo as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match to retain his title. Tonight Morrison puts his title on the line against Primo and Bryan in another Triple Threat match.

IC Championship: Cody Rhodes © vs. Ezekiel Jackson vs. Mr. MITB Dolph Ziggler

“Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson in a gruelling match back at the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View in May to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion and has gone on to make two successful title defences, including defeating Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler last month at Summerslam as well as beating Jackson, Ziggler and Christian in a Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View back in June. Tonight Rhodes puts his title on the line in another Triple Threat bout against Jackson and Ziggler.

WWE Tag Team Championships: Bourne & Kingston © vs. Otunga & McGuillicutty

Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne defeated David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty of the New Nexus at the WWE Over the Limit Pay-Per-View back in May to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions and have since then made two successful title defences, defeating Otunga and McGuillicutty last month at Summerslam as well as beating Otunga and McGuillicutty, fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the dynamic duo of Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a Fatal Four-Way tag team bout at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June. Tonight the Champions defend against Otunga and McGuillicutty one more time.

John Cena and David Hart Smith vs. Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel

Also tonight John Cena will team with David Hart Smith for the very first time to take on New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel. Slater and Gabriel asked the RAW Anonymous General Manager for competition, and were responded to in kind with the making of this tag team encounter.

Triple H versus Zack Ryder

Last month, in August, on an episode of Monday Night RAW, Triple H took on Zack Ryder for the very first time. The “Cerebral Assassin” defeated Ryder, but it was a very competitive match and the ever confident “Long Island Iced Z” provoked Triple H into giving him another high profile match after joining the New Nexus in assaulting other members of the RAW roster.

Randy Orton versus Chavo Guerrero

Two days ago in the main event of Friday Night SmackDown! Randy Orton and Chavo Guerrero met in official in-ring competition for the very first time as Chavo teamed with the World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio to defeat the team of Edge and Randy Orton. However, physical altercations between Chavo and Orton have been going on for several weeks now with Orton continually hitting Chavo with RKOs after being tired of listening to Chavo’s boasting. Tonight Chavo and Orton meet in the ring in singles action for the very first time with a score to settle.

WWE Divas Championship: Beth Phoenix © vs. Natalya vs. Maryse

Finally, the WWE Divas Championship will be on the line tonight as Beth Phoenix makes the third defence of her Divas title in a Triple Threat match against both Natalya and Maryse. Beth won the Divas title from Kelly Kelly back at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June in a Fatal Four-Way bout also including Natalya and Maryse. Beth last put the title on the line last month at Summerslam in another Triple Threat match against both Maryse and Natalya, who seem to always be around the Divas title picture.

Quick Picks:

WWE Championship: The Miz © versus Mark Henry versus Sheamus

World Heavyweight Championship: Alberto Del Rio © vs. Edge vs. The Undertaker

United States Championship: John Morrison © vs. Mr. MITB Daniel Bryan vs. Primo

IC Championship: Cody Rhodes © vs. Ezekiel Jackson vs. Mr. MITB Dolph Ziggler

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Non-Title: WWE Champion The Miz versus Zack Ryder

Last night at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View the Miz successfully retained his WWE Championship in the evening’s main event in a Triple Threat match against both Sheamus as well as Mark Henry. Zack Ryder was also in action last night, battling Triple H in a losing effort. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Ryder must face the Miz in the evening’s non-title main event for the very first time. How will Ryder fair against the WWE Champion just twenty-four hours after going toe to toe with the “Game” Triple H? Unbelievably, the Miz is undefeated since losing to CM Punk the night after Wrestlemania, failing to win back his WWE Championship on that night in the process. Since then Miz has won all of his matches and is now WWE Champion once again. Can anybody stop the reign of the Miz?

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker versus Ezekiel Jackson

This past Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View the Undertaker defeated Edge as well as the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio in a Triple Threat match to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, whilst Ezekiel Jackson failed in his quest to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to successfully retain his Intercontinental title. Tonight in Friday Night SmackDown!’s non-title main event the Undertaker will take on Jackson in singles action for the very first time. These two have previously been in the ring together in a SmackDown! main event before as Del Rio and the Undertaker defeated Edge and Jackson last month in tag team action, and both Undertaker as well as Jackson were also both involved in the Royal Rumble match earlier this year, which was ultimately won by the “Viper” Randy Orton.

Big Show versus JTG

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the “Largest Athlete in the World” the Big Show will take on the “Brawler from the Hood” of Brooklyn, New York, JTG. These two faced off for the very first time last week with Big Show picking up the all-important victory. Can Big Show pick up another win over JTG for the second week in a row? Big Show has been victorious on the last five episodes of Friday Night SmackDown! in a row and last lost a match on an episode of SmackDown! last month in August, to the man that is now the new World Heavyweight Champion, the Undertaker.

Kane versus Chavo Guerrero

This past Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View Chavo Guerrero lost his match to Randy Orton, but reports have surfaced over the past few days indicating that the “Viper” Randy Orton suffered an injury to his shoulder in that match and will be injured for the next four to six weeks. Chavo looks to get back to winning ways tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he takes on the “Big Red Monster” Kane for the very first time this year. Can Chavo get the job done against the much larger Kane?

Finlay versus Drew McIntyre

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the Sadistic Scotsman from Ayr, Scotland, Drew McIntyre will take on fellow Brit, the man who loves to fight from Belfast, Ireland, Finlay. Tonight will be the fourth meeting between the pair this year on Friday Night SmackDown! with McIntyre winning all three of the previous encounters between the pair, one back in January and two last month in August. These two Superstars were also both involved in this year’s Royal Rumble match back in January, which was won by the “Viper” Randy Orton. Will McIntyre get a fourth victory over Finlay tonight?

Slam Master J versus Jack Swagger

The “All American American” and former two time World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he takes on the unpredictable and quirky Slam Master J, a Superstar who has not had much success to speak of in his career when compared to Swagger’s rise to the World Heavyweight Championship last year. This is the first time that Swagger and Slam Master J will have ever been in the ring together, with their paths not previously having crossed since Slam Master J’s return to SmackDown! earlier this year.

Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Michelle McCool & Vickie Guerrero

For the past eight weeks on Friday Night SmackDown! Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes have teamed up to take on and defeat the team of Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero in Six Diva Tag Team action. Tonight these two teams will go at it once again, and the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix is likely to be keeping a close eye on this one following her successful defence of her title last Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View in a Triple Threat match against both Natalya and Maryse. Layla, McCool and Vickie have been assaulting Beth on SmackDown! as of late, will one of those three emerge as the latest challenger to the Divas title?

We will also hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! following his successful title defence this past Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View as he defeated Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to retain his Intercontinental title. Rhodes is expected to have another in-ring confrontation with Ezekiel Jackson tonight, before Jackson goes on to face the new World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker in tonight’s non-title main event. Undertaker defeated the reigning Champion Alberto Del Rio as well as Edge in a Triple Threat match on Sunday to become the new World Champion.

(Predictions are welcomed, there will be a prediction contest held every month. This is the final show of this month’s contest and the overall winner will be able to pick the captain of Team SmackDown! at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View!)

Just as Ezekiel Jackson is telling the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes how he will be taking on the new World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! non-title main event, the lights in the arena go out. When they come back on, the Undertaker is standing in the ring. Undertaker has a microphone in hand and announces that at the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View he will make his first title defence as he puts the World title on the line in a Hell in a Cell match against Edge. Undertaker says that he doesn’t care that “Dashing” Cody Rhodes was able to defeat both Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match last Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View to retain his Intercontinental title, and that all that mattered at Night of Champions was Undertaker defeating Alberto Del Rio, the former World Champion, as well as Edge in a Triple Threat match to become the new World Champion.

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, comes to the ring. Kingston says that he is delighted that he and Evan Bourne were able to defeat New Nexus members David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty to successfully retain their WWE Tag Team Championships this past Sunday at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View, and that he looks forward to their next title defence at the upcoming WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View when they will defend the titles in a Triple Threat tag team bout against Otunga and McGuillicutty as well as fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel, who beat John Cena and David Hart Smith at Night of Champions. Dolph Ziggler then rushes to the ring, and the SmackDown! Money in the Bank winner once again strikes Kingston in the skull with his briefcase. Ziggler picks up the microphone and says that the only thing that will matter at Hell in a Cell is him defeating both Ezekiel Jackson as well as the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat match to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Ziggler says he is looking forward to watching tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! non-title main event when Jackson takes on the new World Heavyweight Champion, the Undertaker.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

WWE Champ The Miz & US Champ John Morrison vs. Mark Henry & Zack Ryder

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View the WWE Champion the Miz will put his WWE Championship on the line in a Hell in a Cell match against Mark Henry whilst John Morrison will defend his WWE United States Championship in a Triple Threat match against both Zack Ryder as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan. Before that, however, Miz must team up with his former regular tag team partner John Morrison to take on the team of Mark Henry and Zack Ryder in tonight’s Monday Night RAW tag team main event, which should be a very interesting match. Tonight will be the first time that this match has ever taken place.

Triple H versus Sheamus

Another first time ever match will take place tonight on Monday Night RAW as “The Game” Triple H will take on the “Celtic Warrior” Sheamus. It was Sheamus who originally put Triple H out of action last year following a shot to the skull with a steel pipe. Since making his triumphant return the night after this year’s Wrestlemania, Triple H and Sheamus’ paths have not crossed, until tonight. Triple H will likely be looking for revenge against the man who put him out of action for almost an entire year.

John Cena versus Primo

Last week on Monday Night RAW John Cena took on and defeated Primo in singles action, the first ever time that the pair had met one on one in the middle of the ring. Tonight on RAW the pair face off for a second time with Primo hoping to pull off the upset victory on this occasion. Despite facing one another in singles competition for the first time last week, Cena and Primo have been in the ring with one another on a couple of previous occasions this year as Primo teamed with former WWE Champion CM Punk in a tag team main event of an episode of RAW back in April to defeat the team of John Cena and current United States Champion John Morrison. Speaking of Morrison, he also defeated both Cena, Primo and William Regal in a Fatal Four-Way bout back at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View in June to make a successful defence of his United States title.

Santino Marella versus Alex Riley

Alex Riley and Santino Marella have previously faced one another twice before on Monday Night RAW, with Riley defeating Santino on two occasions back in April. Tonight the pair will face off for a third time with Riley looking for a hat-trick of victories against the “Master of the Cobra” Santino. These men were also both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

William Regal versus Ted DiBiase

William Regal will face the “Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase tonight on Monday Night RAW for the very first time hoping to prove that experience counts for more than youth as the veteran looks to pick up an all-important victory to head into contention for a United States Championship opportunity or even a shot at the WWE Championship. Can Regal pull off the victory?

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW we will hear from the WWE Champion the Miz before he teams with the WWE United States Champion John Morrison in tonight’s tag team main event to take on the team of Mark Henry and Zack Ryder. This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Miz will put his WWE Championship on the line in a Hell in a Cell match against Mark Henry. Morrison will also be defending his United States Championship this Sunday at Hell in a Cell as he must face both Zack Ryder as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match.

Speaking of Daniel Bryan, we will hear from RAW’s Money in the Bank winner and Submission Specialist tonight on Monday Night RAW as he prepares to join Zack Ryder in challenging John Morrison for the WWE United States Championship in a Triple Threat match this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Bryan will also likely have an interest in tonight’s tag team main event as Morrison teams with the WWE Champion the Miz to take on the team of Mark Henry and Zack Ryder. Miz will of course be putting his WWE Championship on the line this Sunday at Hell in a Cell in a Hell in a Cell match against Mark Henry.

Both Mark Henry and Zack Ryder will be making in ring appearances tonight on Monday Night RAW before they team up the evening’s tag team main event to take on the team of the WWE Champion the Miz as well as the WWE United States Champion John Morrison. Zack Ryder will join RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in challenging Morrison for the United States title this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View whilst Miz will be putting his WWE title on the line this Sunday in a Hell in a Cell match against Mark Henry.

Finally, we will also hear from one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne as well as one of his opponents this Sunday Justin Gabriel tonight on Monday Night RAW. This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Triple Threat tag team match against David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty as well as fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Champ Undertaker & IC Champ Cody Rhodes vs. Edge & Ezekiel Jackson

This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View the Undertaker will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line in a Hell in a Cell match against Edge, whilst the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes will defend his Intercontinental title in a Triple Threat match against both Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. First though, Undertaker must team with Rhodes in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event to take on the team of Edge and Ezekiel Jackson. Tonight will be the very first time that this match has ever taken place.

Kane versus JTG

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the Big Red Monster Kane will take on the Brawler from the Hood of Brooklyn, New York, JTG. These two faced off on an episode of SmackDown! back in August with Kane picking up the all-important victory, can the much larger veteran get a second victory tonight or will the crafty JTG pull off what many would consider to be a big upset? Kane has won a match on every edition of SmackDown! since losing to his brother, the current World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker, on an epsidode of SmackDown! back at the beginning of August.

Big Show versus Chavo Guerrero

The Largest Athlete in the World, the Big Show, will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he takes on the “Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero. Believe it or not, considering the large amounts of time that these two have spent on SmackDown! the pair have never before faced off in a singles match. Tonight will therefore be their first ever competitive singles outing against one another on Friday Night SmackDown!

Slam Master J versus Jack Swagger

Last week on Friday Night SmackDown! the “All American American” Jack Swagger took on the unpredictable and fun-loving Slam Master J for the very first time, and the much larger and more powerful Swagger was able to pick up the all-important victory. Tonight the pair will face off once more, can Swagger pick up a second win in a row against the eccentric Slam Master J? Swagger has had mixed fortunes as of late but is certainly gaining great amounts of in-ring experience, as he has competed on every single episode of SmackDown! since mid-July. Since losing three weeks in a row to Kane, Swagger has picked up victories over both Finlay and Slam Master J, and will be hoping for another tonight.

God versus Drew McIntyre

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will see the ever-mysterious God take on the Sinister Scotsman from Ayr, Scotland, Drew McIntyre. These two have faced off once before on Friday Night SmackDown! with McIntyre picking up an all-important victory over God back in July. These two men were also both involved in the Royal Rumble match back in January of this year, which was ultimately won by the currently injured “Viper” Randy Orton. God has not won a match on SmackDown! since defeating Quentin Aries back in June, so could do with a victory here.

Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn & Rosa Mendes vs. Layla, Michelle McCool & Vickie Guerrero

For the past nine weeks in a row on Friday Night SmackDown! the team of Kelly Kelly, Kaitlyn and Rosa Mendes have taken on and defeated Layla, Michelle McCool and Vickie Guerrero in Six Diva tag team action. Tonight the trios will once again face one another with the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix likely paying close attention as she prepares to put her title on the line this Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in a Triple Threat match against both Natalya and Maryse.

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! we will see an in-ring confrontation between the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes and Ezekiel Jackson before they face one another in tonight’s tag team main event as Rhodes teams with the World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker to take on the team of Edge and Ezekiel Jackson. This Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Rhodes will put his title on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler whilst Undertaker will put his World title on the line this Sunday in a Hell in a Cell match against Edge.

Hell in a Cell Match: WWE Championship: The Miz © versus Mark Henry

Last month at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View the Undertaker defeated the former World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio as well as Edge in a Triple Threat match to become World Heavyweight Champion for a fourth time. Tonight Undertaker makes his first title defence as he puts the title on the line against Edge in a Hell in a Cell match. Tonight Rhodes will once again put his title on the line as he looks to make his fourth successful title defence in another Triple Threat match against Jackson and Ziggler.

Triple H versus Primo

In the evening’s only non-title match tonight at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, the “Game” Triple H will take on the Puerto Rican Superstar Primo for the first time ever, hoping to build on the momentum he gained last month at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View when Triple H defeated Zack Ryder. Swagger says that he is sick and tired of being held back on Friday Night SmackDown! by the decisions of the incompetent General Manager Theodore Long. Swagger says that he can understand why washed up Superstars such as Kane and the Big Show aren’t competing tonight at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, but Swagger is a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion and claims that he deserves more respect. Swagger says that since he lost the World title earlier this year he has not been given enough opportunities to reclaim the title. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Monday Night RAW:

Champ versus Champ: Non-Title: WWE Champ The Miz vs. US Champ Zack Ryder

Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View the Miz defeated Mark Henry in the evening’s main event inside of the sadistic structure known as the Hell in a Cell to successfully retain his WWE Championship. Zack Ryder was also victorious last night as he defeated the WWE United States Champion John Morrison as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan to become the new United States Champion. Tonight, in Monday Night RAW’s non-title main event, these two Champions will face one another as the Miz takes on Zack Ryder. These two faced off in a RAW main event last month in September with Miz picking up the all-important victory, but Ryder does hold a tag team victory over the WWE Champion as in last week’s tag team main event Ryder and Mark Henry defeated the team of the Miz and John Morrison.

R-Truth versus Alex Riley

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW the charismatic and at times unpredictable R-Truth will take on the former protégé of the WWE Champion, the Miz as R-Truth takes on the young Alex Riley in singles action. This will be the fourth time that the pair have competed against one another this year on RAW as Truth previously defeated Riley twice in May as well as once back in April. Both of these men were also involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown!

William Regal versus Sheamus

Two Brits will face one another tonight on Monday Night RAW as the veteran from Blackpool, England; William Regal takes on the “Celtic Warrior” from Dublin, Ireland, Sheamus. Tonight will be the second ever meeting between the pair after Sheamus defeated William Regal two weeks ago, back in September, on an episode of RAW.

David Hart Smith versus Ted DiBiase

Also tonight on Monday Night RAW the “Fortunate Son” Ted DiBiase will take on another Second Generation Superstar, the son of the “British Bulldog”, David Hart Smith. These two previously faced one another on an episode of RAW back in March of this year, with DiBiase picking up the all-important victory. DiBiase and Smith were also both involved in the Battle Royal prior to this year’s Wrestlemania, which was won by the mysterious God of Friday Night SmackDown! DiBiase was victorious last week on RAW against William Regal and will be looking to pick up another victory tonight against another man with British Blood pumping through his veins, David Hart Smith.

Eve and Natalya versus Maryse and Brie Bella

Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Natalya and Maryse both failed in their quest to become the new WWE Divas Champion as Beth Phoenix defeated both Natalya and Maryse in their Triple Threat match to retain her title. Tonight on Monday Night RAW Natalya and Maryse will be in the ring with one another yet again as Natalya teams with Eve to take on the team of Maryse and Brie Bella. Tonight will be the second time that this match has taken place after Natalya and Eve defeated Maryse and Brie on an episode of RAW back in July.

We will also hear from the WWE Champion the Miz tonight on Monday Night RAW before he takes on the WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder in tonight’s Champion versus Champion non-title Monday Night RAW main event. Miz was victorious in retaining his WWE Championship last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as he defeated Mark Henry in a Hell in a Cell match whilst Zack Ryder defeated the United States Champion John Morrison as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match to become the new United States Champion.

We will also hear from one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne tonight on Monday Night RAW after he and Kofi Kingston successfully defended their WWE Tag Team Championships last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View by defeating David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty as well as fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in a Triple Threat tag team match. Otunga, McGuillicutty, Slater and Gabriel will also be on RAW tonight as will RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan, who failed in his quest to become the new WWE United States Champion last night as Zack Ryder defeated former Champion John Morrison as well as Bryan in a Triple Threat match to become the new United States Champion. Triple H will also be present tonight on RAW after he defeated Primo last night at the Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, and we will also see an appearance from John Cena, who did not have a match last night at Hell in a Cell. The new United States Champion Zack Ryder will also be in action in the evening’s Champion versus Champion non-title main event as he takes on WWE Champion the Miz.

Finally, we will hear from the new WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder tonight on Monday Night RAW before he competes in tonight’s non-title Champion versus Champion main event against WWE Champion the Miz. Last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Ryder defeated former Champion John Morrison as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match to become the new United States Champion whilst Miz defended his WWE Championship in a Hell in a Cell match against Mark Henry.

Miz says that he thinks Ryder was lucky to defeat former US Champion John Morrison as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat last night to become the new United States Champion. The Anonymous RAW General Manager then sends an email to Michael Cole announcing that at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View the Miz will once again be putting his WWE Championship on the line in a Triple Threat match against Mark Henry and Primo, who lost to Triple H in a great match last night.

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Evan Bourne comes to the ring. Otunga, McGuillicutty, Slater and Gabriel then come to the ring, and Otunga grabs the microphone from Bourne and announces that at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View Bourne and Kingston will put their titles on the line in a Triple Threat tag team match again against Otunga and McGuillicutty as well as Slater and Gabriel. All four men then decide to attack Bourne, and the four of them stomp on a prone Bourne until Triple H, John Cena and RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan rush to the ring to make the save. The New Nexus members quickly head to the back as Triple H and Cena help Bourne to his feet. Bryan then picks up the microphone and announces that he has been made the captain of Team RAW in the upcoming RAW versus SmackDown! Bragging Rights match. Ryder says that he has just learned that at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View Morrison will be invoking his rematch clause and challenging Ryder for the US title, but before then Ryder says he must face the WWE Champion the Miz in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title Champion versus Champion main event. Ryder says that he can’t see Miz being able to successfully defend his title when he puts it on the line in a Triple Threat match against both Mark Henry as well as Primo at Bragging Rights.

Rating: C+

Primo comes to the ring, joining the new WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder. Primo first of all congratulates Ryder on becoming the new US Champion after he defeated former Champion John Morrison as well as RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat match last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View. Primo says that even though he lost to Triple H last night, he impressed the RAW Anonymous General Manager so much that at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View he will join Mark Henry in challenging the Miz for the WWE Championship in a Triple Threat match, and Primo says that he feels confident heading into that match as Miz was only just able to defeat Mark Henry in their Hell in a Cell match last night to retain his title. Primo wishes Ryder the best of luck in tonight’s Monday Night RAW non-title Champion versus Champion main event tonight as he takes on the WWE Champion the Miz, and also wishes Ryder the best of luck when he makes his first US title defence against John Morrison at Bragging Rights. Primo says that he doesn’t care if Team RAW win at Bragging Rights, because the night will always be remembered as the night he became the new WWE Champion.

The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker versus Edge

Last Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View the Undertaker defeated Edge in a Hell in a Cell match to successfully retain his World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! the Undertaker must take on the “Rated R Superstar” once again as he faces Edge in the evening’s non-title main event. These two have been in the ring with one another on many occasions this year, with Undertaker teaming with Edge in losing efforts on two tag team main events of SmackDown! back in February with the pair first losing to Jack Swagger and Alberto Del Rio before losing to Swagger and the current WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes the week after. The pair also both competed in the SmackDown! Elimination Chamber match back at the Elimination Chamber Pay-Per-View in February as Swagger defeated God, Undertaker, Edge, Del Rio and Rhodes to retain his World title. In August the pair were on opposing sides in a SmackDown! tag team main event as Del Rio and Undertaker defeated Edge and Ezekiel Jackson. It was at the Night of Champions Pay-Per-View that Undertaker defeated Edge as well as former World Champion Del Rio in a Triple Threat match to become the new World Champion, and last week the pair were also on opposing sides in the evening’s tag team main event as Undertaker and Rhodes defeated Edge and Ezekiel Jackson. Edge has therefore failed in many attempts to defeat Undertaker this year; can he pull off the victory tonight?

Finlay versus Chavo Guerrero

Also tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! two veterans will go head to head as the Fighting Irishman who just loves to fight, the Brawler from Belfast, Northern Ireland, takes on the “Mexican Warrior” from El Paso, Texas, Chavo Guerrero. Tonight will be the second time that these two have faced off this year after Chavo defeated Finlay on an episode of SmackDown! back in February. Can Finlay avenge that loss and go on to pick up the all-important victory for himself tonight? Finlay has been on a disappointing run as of late, last winning a match on SmackDown! when he defeated Adam Pearce back in July.

We will also hear from the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! after he successfully retained his title this past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View in a Triple Threat match against Ezekiel Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler. What next for Rhodes? We will likely hear how Rhodes feels he is performing as an Intercontinental Champion after making his fourth successful title defence on Sunday. Dolph Ziggler will also be present tonight, and Ziggler may hint at when he will finally cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase.

The World Heavyweight Champion the Undertaker will also be making an in-ring appearance tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! before he takes on the “Rated R Superstar” Edge in the evening’s non-title main event. Undertaker made his first successful defence of his World Championship this past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as he defeated Edge in a Hell in a Cell match, will another challenger step up in an attempt to grasp the World Championship from the “Phenom” tonight?

Speaking of Champions, one half of the WWE Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston will also be on Friday Night SmackDown! this evening to discuss his successful title defence last night at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View and Kingston and Evan Bourne defeated David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty as well as fellow New Nexus members Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel in a Triple Threat tag team match to retain their WWE Tag Team Championships. Jack Swagger will also be on Friday Night SmackDown! tonight after he and Drew McIntyre chose Sunday’s Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View as the right time to speak at their disgust in SmackDown! General Manager Theodore Long and suggest that he favours the more experienced Superstars such as Kane and the Big Show.

On Monday Night RAW we learned that the Divas team representing RAW in the RAW versus SmackDown! Divas Bragging Rights match at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View will be captained by Maryse and also include Brie Bella, Alicia Fox and Melina. Both Kaitlyn and Layla will be present on Friday Night SmackDown! tonight and may both stake their claims at being a member of Team SmackDown! at Bragging Rights.

Speaking of Divas, former WWE Divas Champions Kelly Kelly and Michelle McCool will also be on Friday Night SmackDown! tonight and may also want to be members of Team SmackDown! at the WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View when four SmackDown! Divas take on Team RAW, consisting of Team Captain Maryse, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox and Melina in the RAW versus SmackDown! Divas Bragging Rights match. Team RAW was decided this past Monday on Monday Night RAW so one can only assume that the participants of Team SmackDown! will be announced tonight, with Kelly and Michelle likely both wanting to be involved in some capacity.

Finally, we will hear from the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! after she successfully retained her title this past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View by defeating both Maryse and Natalya in a Triple Threat match. After Monday Night RAW we now know that Maryse will captain Team RAW at the RAW versus SmackDown! Bragging Rights four-Diva tag team bout at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View with a team consisting of herself, Brie Bella, Alicia Fox and Melina. The beautiful Rosa Mendes will also be present tonight on SmackDown!

Quick Picks:

Non-Title: World Heavyweight Champion The Undertaker versus Edge

Finlay versus Chavo Guerrero

Friday Night SmackDown! begins with SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler making his way to the ring. Ziggler says that this past Sunday, unfortunately he failed to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated both Ziggler and Ezekiel Jackson in a Triple Threat match at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View to retain his title. Ziggler says that, in better news, he has been chosen to captain Team SmackDown! in the upcoming RAW versus SmackDown! Bragging Rights match at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View. Ziggler notes that we learned on Monday Night RAW that their team consisted of Team Captain, RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan, as well as Triple H, John Cena, Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov. Ziggler then introduces the second member of Team SmackDown!, Cody Rhodes. The Intercontinental Champion Rhodes then joins Ziggler in the ring and thanks him for choosing him to be on Team SmackDown! Rhodes says that he is aware that the other three members of Team SmackDown! will be announced later tonight, but he already knows that they will win as they have a Champion on their team, unlike Daniel Bryan, who failed to win the WWE United States Championship this past Sunday as Zack Ryder defeated Bryan as well as the former Champion John Morrison in a Triple Threat match to become the new Champion. Rhodes also claims that Triple H was lucky to defeat Primo this past Sunday at Hell in a Cell.

Rating: B+

The World Heavyweight Champion, the Undertaker, comes to the ring and proclaims that just as he defeated Edge in a Hell in a Cell match to retain his World title this past Sunday at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, he will defeat him in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! non-title main event. Undertaker also says that he has been informed that at the upcoming WWE Bragging Rights Pay-Per-View he will put his World title on the line against Ezekiel Jackson. Undertaker says that Jackson doesn’t have a chance of winning the World title, as he couldn’t even win the WWE Intercontinental Championship this past Sunday as “Dashing” Cody Rhodes defeated both Jackson as well as SmackDown!’s Money in the Bank winner Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat match to retain his title. Undertaker also says that he doesn’t care about Ziggler and Rhodes being members of Team SmackDown! in the RAW versus SmackDown! Bragging Rights match, and doesn’t care who the other three men to represent SmackDown!, to be announced later tonight, will be either. Undertaker says that the only thing he cares about is remaining World Champion and bringing dark days to SmackDown!

Rating: A

These two faced one another one on one for the first time last month in a main event of Friday Night SmackDown! with Undertaker picking up the all-important victory, and were also both in the ring together earlier this month in a SmackDown! tag team main event as Undertaker teamed with the WWE Intercontinental Champion “Dashing” Cody Rhodes to defeat the team of Jackson and Edge. Undertaker also holds another tag team victory over Jackson on SmackDown! as in August Undertaker teamed with Del Rio to defeat Jackson and Edge.

WWE United States Championship: Zack Ryder © vs. John Morrison

Two weeks ago at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View Zack Ryder defeated John Morrison in a Triple Threat match also involving RAW’s Money in the Bank winner Daniel Bryan to become the new WWE United States Champion for the very first time. Tonight at Bragging Rights Morrison will receive his contractually obligated rematch for the title he lost two weeks ago. After winning the title himself for the very first time back in April Morrison went on to make five successful title defences and would no doubt love to win the title back tonight. Ryder is undefeated against Morrison, and as well as defeating him and Bryan to win the title at Hell in a Cell also holds two tag team victories over Morrison in RAW main events as earlier this month Ryder and Mark Henry defeated Morrison and the WWE Champion the Miz whilst just last week on RAW Ryder teamed with Primo to defeat Miz and Morrison.

In August at Summerslam and last month at the WWE Night of Champions Pay-Per-View Kingston and Bourne defeated Otunga and McGuillicutty again to retain their titles whilst they made their most recent title defence in a Triple Threat tag team match two weeks ago at the WWE Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View against both Otunga and McGuillicutty as well as Slater and Gabriel.
