One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Evan Bourne, will also be in action tonight on Monday Night RAW as he will take one the reigning WWE United States Champion Zack Ryder in a non-title “Champion versus Champion” match. Ryder and Bourne’s second match against one another took place just last month, in May, as Ryder defeated Bourne on an episode of RAW. Both Ryder and Bourne also took part in the Battle Royal prior to last year’s Wrestlemania, in March of last year. Bryan is likely to discuss his upcoming defence of the WWE Championship at the WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View, where he must defend the title in a Fatal Four-Way match against three other challengers in William Regal, Alex Riley and Mark Henry. For the past few weeks on RAW it has appeared that Bryan has some sort of arrangement with the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry that the pair will work together in the Fatal Four-Way match to take out Regal and Riley before facing one another man on man to decide who will leave the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View with the WWE Championship. The following contests are confirmed to take place on tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown!:

World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus and Finlay versus Kane and The Undertaker

At the upcoming WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View the reigning World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus will put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line for the third time in a Fatal Four-Way match as he will face three challengers in his fellow Irishman Finlay, the Big Red Monster Kane as well as Kane’s brother, the Undertaker. Before his title defence at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View, however, Sheamus will team up with the “Fighting Irishman” Finlay in tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown! tag team main event to take on the team of Kane and the Undertaker, also known as the infamous “Brothers of Destruction”. Tonight will be the very first time that this particular tag team contest will ever have taken place and it is sure to be a tremendous match. Will the World Champion and his Irish ally Finlay be able to attain the all-important victory tonight or will the experience of Kane and the Undertaker reign supreme? We’ll find out tonight, only on Friday Night SmackDown!

WWE Tag Team Champion Kofi Kingston versus Jack Swagger

One half of the WWE Tag Team Champions, Kofi Kingston, will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will take on the “All American American” Jack Swagger. At the upcoming WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View Kingston and his tag team partner from Monday Night RAW, Evan Bourne, will put their WWE Tag Team Championships on the line in a Fatal Four-Way tag team match against the team of Epico and Darren Young, the New Nexus pairing of Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel as well as the team of Jimmy and Jey Uso, collectively known as the Uso’s. Kingston’s opponent tonight, Swagger, will also be in action at the Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View as he will join Edge and Ezekiel Jackson in challenging Big Show for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match. Tonight will be the third time that Kingston and Swagger will have faced one another in singles competition after Swagger picked up two victories over Kingston on two different episodes of SmackDown! back in February of this year. Swagger also defeated both Kingston as well as the former WWE Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes on the first episode of SmackDown! in the month of February this year in a Triple Threat match to become the new WWE Intercontinental Champion. Kingston does hold two tag team victories over Swagger however, as he teamed with Edge on an episode of SmackDown! back in January of last year to defeat the team of Swagger and Wade Barrett. Kingston also teamed with the currently injured “Viper” Randy Orton back in February of last year to defeat the team of Jack Swagger and Cody Rhodes in a SmackDown! tag team main event.

God versus Ianshoku Dieno

The mysterious God will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as he will take on the unusual and flamboyant Japanese Superstar that is Ianshoku Dieno. God and Dieno have only ever faced one another in singles competition on one previous occasion, when Dieno picked up an all-important victory over God on an episode of the now defunct WWE Superstars back in January of last year. Both Dieno and God also participated in the Battle Royal prior to last year’s Wrestlemania, last March, as well as the Battle Royal which took place before this year’s Wrestlemania this March. Both of those Wrestlemania pre-show Battle Royals were eventually won by God. Dieno and God also both took part in last year’s 30 Man Royal Rumble match, last January at the WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View in a match that was ultimately won by the currently injured “Viper” Randy Orton. Dieno and God also both took part in this year’s 30 Man Royal Rumble match at this year’s WWE Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View back in January, in a match that was of course won by the current World Heavyweight Champion, Sheamus. Sheamus eliminated twenty-nine other WWE Superstars from both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown! in the Royal Rumble match to earn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania. Sheamus of course then defeated Big Show in the main event of Wrestlemania to become the new World Heavyweight Champion, and is still the reigning Champion.

Rosa Mendes versus Michelle McCool

Finally, the Divas will also be in action tonight on Friday Night SmackDown! as Rosa Mendes, the excitable Latino Diva, will take on one half of Team Lay-Cool, Michelle McCool. At the upcoming WWE Fatal Four-Way Pay-Per-View Rosa Mendes will join both Alicia Fox and Natalya in challenging the current WWE Divas Champion, Monday Night RAW’s Maryse, for the WWE Divas Championship in a Fatal Four-Way match. This match is a rematch from last week’s Friday Night SmackDown! when Rosa and Michelle McCool faced one another in one on one competition for the very first time on SmackDown!, with Rosa picking up the all-important victory on that occasion. Will Rosa be able to pick up her second victory in as many weeks against McCool tonight or will McCool pick up her first ever win against Rosa Mendes? Rosa is incredibly undefeated against Michelle McCool after defeating her in several tag team matches over the past year. Last April, the team of Rosa Mendes and Kaitlyn defeated Michelle McCool and her Team Lay-Cool partner, Layla, in tag team action on three consecutive episodes of SmackDown! in a row. The team of Layla, Michelle McCool and the current Friday Night SmackDown! General Manager Vickie Guerrero also lost several six-Diva tag team matches to Kaitlyn, Rosa and Beth Phoenix throughout the Summer of last year.
