(Live from the NJ Louis Brown Athletic Center, 8,000 in Attendance) Pre-Show: Kaitlyn versus Vickie Guerrero In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Kaitlyn defeated Vickie Guerrero in 17:58 by pinfall with a Flatliner. Match Rating: E+ (Dean Malenko feels that Kaitlyn needs to be booked a little smarter, as she was totally exposed by the length of this match.) SmackDown! begins with Wade Barrett coming to the ring and proclaiming that he will win the Triple Threat match at the Royal Rumble between himself, Kofi Kingston and the Champion Dolph Ziggler to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Rating: B+ The Undertaker comes to the ring and says that he will win the Royal Rumble match. He is soon interrupted by Rey Mysterio who joins Undertaker in the ring and says that he will be the one to win this year’s Royal Rumble match. Rating: A* Jack Swagger comes to the ring and proclaims that he will defeat Edge at the Royal Rumble to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Edge then comes to the ring and tells Swagger that he will retain his World title at the Royal Rumble. Rating: B+ Ezekiel Jackson versus “Dashing” Cody Rhodes In a match that had some good action and average heat, "Dashing" Cody Rhodes defeated Ezekiel Jackson in 10:52 by pinfall with a Cross Rhodes. Match Rating: B- Alberto Del Rio comes to the ring and immediately calls Tyler Reks out. Reks joins Del Rio in the ring and Del Rio tells Reks that he will pay him good money if he helps him win the Royal Rumble match. Reks says that he will think about it. Rating: C+ Kofi Kingston makes his way to the ring and says that he will win the Intercontinental Championship in the Triple Threat with Wade Barrett and the reigning Champion, Dolph Ziggler at the Royal Rumble. Ziggler then rushes to the ring and attacks Kingston, laying him out with the Intercontinental Championship title belt. Rating: B- God comes to the ring and declares that he will win the Royal Rumble match. Big Show and Kane then join God in the ring and tell him that the only thing people will be taking about after the Royal Rumble is them becoming the new Tag Team Champions after they defeat the reigning Champions Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov and Slater and Gabriel of the Nexus in the Triple Threat tag team match. Rating: C+ Finlay versus Drew McIntyre In a match that had some good action and average heat, Drew McIntyre defeated Finlay in 8:27 by pinfall with a Snap Double Underhook DDT. Match Rating: B- Curt Hawkins comes to the ring with his new associate Ianshoku Dieno. Hawkins says that both he and Dieno will be taking part in the Royal Rumble match and will work together to eliminate the likes of JTG and Trent Barreta until they are the only two remaining in the ring. Rating: D Kelly Kelly versus Layla In an extremely short match, Kelly Kelly defeated Layla in 2:42 by pinfall with a Legdrop Bulldog. Match Rating: D+ Beth Phoenix versus Michelle McCool In a match that had some good action and average heat, Beth Phoenix defeated Michelle McCool in 7:43 by pinfall with a Glam Slam. Match Rating: C World Champion Edge & Kofi Kingston vs. Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Edge and Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett in 17:51 when Kofi Kingston defeated Dolph Ziggler by pinfall with a Trouble In Paradise.
