Hollyweird Grappling Company: Lights, Camera, Weird!

Recommended Posts

Competition as a word gives us visions of athletes and sports, but in reality competition is everything and all around us.

Some of the greatest feats of men and mankind are a direct result of competition. What happens when men push each other beyond what their capable of? What happens when we push each other to do things we never would have imagined?

In 1996 Richard Eisen was going to answer these questions for himself. Richard is a man that’s never been tested. He took a small locally based company and made it a world wide, dominating phenomenon is a half a decade. Richard Eisen is a man that before he was thirty years old was already the richest and most successful man in his respective business. How does a man who’s never had to fight, never had to scratch and claw…..how does a man like that learn not only those things but how to defend himself? How to show fear, humility? Or maybe the better question is will he even have to?

In 1997 Richard Eisen is set to enter his 25th year of dominance in Pro Wrestling. The wrestlers faces are changing, the fans are changing even with all of this change Richard Eisen is refusing to change with the times. His oldest son Jerry has urged and pleaded with Richard to move forward with his product.

25 years without a competitor is a long time and things are changing in 1997. With the invention of the internet, with countless television shows, new companies popping up every day willing and able to entertain people in some form or fashion. In 1997 people want variety even if that variety is....

In the early months of 1996 a kid is about to show the world his version of professional wrestling. Sixteen year old Joe Keith Stallings has made the decision to move forward with starting a professional wrestling company he hopes will one day rival the size of Richard Eisen’s. He’s just a young kid with a dream right now…..oh and a BILLION DOLLARS!

<br>

[Joe is sitting across from a giant empty desk about ten floors up in the heart of Los Angeles. The door swings open behind him and a younger man dressed in a suit quickly steps in shutting the door behind him.]

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/RMJ44.jpg

Steve: Joe, sorry to keep you waiting my last meeting ran long. Apparently the American Sports 1 has just acquired the rights to the national dog show and talks ran longer than I had hoped…

[steve walks over to the bar in his office and starts pouring a drink. He glances back at Joe who’s still staring out the window of his office. Steve speaks up.]

Steve: Say Joe, can I get you a drink?

[Joe slightly turns his body to face Steve with a questioned look on his face.]

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/JKStalkingsJr.jpg

Joe: I’m uh, I’m not old enough to drink…

[steve’s smile turns to one of awkwardness and slight embarrassment. He quickly tries to change the subject.]

Steve: Well how bout a smoke? I got some fine Cubans if your into that sort of thing…

[Joe glances down before looking back up in an even lower tone.]

Joe: I’m not old enough to smoke either…

[With that statement Steve quietly sets his glass back down on the bar and walks behind his desk. He reaches out shaking hands with Joe before quickly sitting. Steve is shuffling paperwork while Joe uncomfortably stares at him. Steve finally meets eye contact from over his shuffled papers.]

Steve: Look Joe I’m going to get right to the point. The company has looked over your files and although your offer to our company is more than above asking price I just don’t know how we can get a deal done. You don’t have any television, you don’t have any pay per view. Although your offer is generous without any sort of media you wouldn’t have a need for a production company and at the end of the day we’d be tied into a contract we would actually lose money on….

[Joe shifts in his chair across the desk. He pulls at his HGC t shirt before stammering out a response to the rejection.]

Joe: I’ve been to every major production company in Los Angles and they all tell me the same thing. Without television they won’t take me on as a client. My people told me that you were the guy to get things done. I’m going to leave you with a blank check. You write what it will take to lock you guys in as my production company…

[Joe whips out his check book tearing off a blank check and sliding it across the large, oak wood desk. Steve lets out a sigh before clutching the check. He stares at the check and then stares back at Joe. Finally the silence is broken.]

Steve: Joe who do you have securing your television rights as of now?

[Joe thought for a second before curiosity responding.]

Joe: Well….me….

[steve took the blank check in towards him and starting jotting something down on it. A few moments later he slid it back over towards Joe.]

Steve: That’s how much I would ask right now for you to lock this company down for production of Hollyweird Grappling Company. Now I want you to double that amount, that’s the amount I’m going to be asking when I secure you the television rights you haven’t been able to get on your own…

[Joe stared at the number, it was bigger than he had expected in the first place and now Steve was going to ask for that to be doubled if he could secure television rights. He sat the check down and stared across as Steve for a moment. He snatched the pen and scribbled his name onto the check sliding it back to Steve.]

Joe: Consider this your down payment and you’ll get the other half when you get me that television deal.

[With that Joe got out and straightened out his wrinkly HGC t shirt and outstretched his hand for a handshake. Steve took a moment to respond staring at the check before slowly rising and offering a lifeless handshake. As Joe left the ten story high office Steve flopped back down into his leather chair. He covered his hands with his face before muttering jibberish to himself.]

OOC: All credit for the fantastic render goes to J Silver I appreciate it thank you.

[several months had passed but to Steve it felt like years. His hair was needing cut, his clean cut face turn to stubble and was now showing signs of a full on beard. His eyes seemed like they were stained blood shot red. After all of this he was smiling as Joe Keith Stallings once again passed through his door. They shook hands and Joe took a seat. Steve slowly got up from his chair and walked over to the bar pouring himself a drink.]

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/RMJ44.jpg

Steve: I know its been a few months but I’m glad to see ya back in here Joe. Can I offer you a drink?

[Joe got a strange feeling of déjà vu as he moved his body around staring at Steve almost in disbelief.]

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/JKStalkingsJr.jpg

Joe: I guess you don’t remember out last talk, I’m not old enough to drin-

[before Joe could finish his sentence a can of ice cold Coke was flying in his direction. Joe quickly caught the freezing can of soda. Steve let out a laugh and rejoined him at the desk.]

Steve: Relax, lighten up Joe I got good news. I know you don’t drink but I also did some research on ya and best I can tell Coke is your drink of choice. So drink up friend I got great news…

[Joe was almost uncomfortable without how cheery and chipper Steve was compared to their last meeting when he almost refused a six figure pay day from Joe.]

Steve: I went to every network in this country and the results weren’t that great. Ace didn’t want us, American Sports 1 has Eisen and they wouldn’t even take my phone call. Arcadia, CANN, GNN, CBA, Sports American all either turned me down or laughed in my face. Hell I couldn’t even get a meeting with most of them and the ones that did offer me a meeting did it as comedy relief….

[Joe was staring at Steve in disbelief. Steve was so happy while Joe was seeing his company go up in flames. Was this Steve’s way of getting a bit of comedy relief for himself? Finally Joe cut Steve off and spoke up.]

Joe: I’m sorry but I thought you had good news, how is it good news that every network in the country thinks I’m a joke and I just spent 100 million dollars on something that I can’t even get a television deal for?

[steve chuckled to himself before pulling out a few different papers. He slid them over to Joe face down and started to immediately explain what they were since it was evident Joe wasn’t the patient type today.]

Steve: Because after all of them laughed in my face I went BACK to the secondary networks, East Coast Today, Hawaii 50, TV Puerto Rico, American Central, even West Coast Access. All of these secondary networks JUMPED at the chance to have even a sliver of what Eisen’s ratings are pulling in. Not only are we broadcast in ALL 50 States Joe but I signed a deal with Maple Leaf Sports so we’re in Canada as well. Not only are we in two countries, we’re also going to bee seen LIVE head to head with Richard Eisen. To top it off each network is paying US to broadcast on their network.

[steve’s rant was over he slowly kicked back in his leather chair while Joe looked over and analyzed each paper. You could tell he was the type that did read the fine print. After what felt like hours but truthfully was only a few minutes Joe put the papers down and looked back up at Steve with a cold stare. Steve leaned in just as Joe started to crack a smile. After the smile came a loud yell of relief.]

Joe: Well you earned every penny of that down payment. I’m a man of my word and Empire Entertainment is not only our production company but here’s the other half of that money that’s woed to you…

[Just like before Joe whipped out that fat check book of his. He tour off a sheet and scribbled onto the check. He slid the check over to Steve but Steve’s face had gone from smiles and a look of arrogance to a somber tone. He stared at the check, this was more than this company would make in two years just in HGC payments. He set the check down and looked back up at Joe.]

Steve: Joe I gotta be honest with you. Empire Entertainment has already made more money off of you with that last check than it will most of its other ventures combined. We don’t need the other half…

[Joe quickly shut him off.]

Joe: A deal is a deal Steve, your company went to bat for me, got me television rights, they got me production when nobody else would….

Steve: Look Joe, I did that television rights on my own time. The reason I’ve barely slept and haven’t seen the inside of this office since the last time you were here is because I’ve been spending my nights on planes all across the country. The company secured itself a high end client who now has a television deal. Its twice to three times as much as any other production company would charge something like this with television rights. If you really want to pay your debt though I have an idea...

[Joe leaned in and Steve let out a sigh before continuing his thought process.]

Steve: You’ve spent a 100 million dollars on a professional wrestling company, you’ve been to every television studio and every production company in the country. You’ve already put more time and effort into this than anyone thinks or even knows about. You’ve shown me you’re in this for the long haul. The reason I went to bat for you was because I like a challenge myself. I like making something from nothing. Your case with the television rights was a challenge, but being a part of HGC and making it a success inside a form of entertainment that only one company has ever been successful at? That’s the ultimate challenge. To come in as an outsider and take over an industry that’s been dominated by one company for three decades that’s the kind of challenge I really want to be a part of…

[Joe c0cked his head in curiosity as Steve really made Joe realize maybe for the first time just what he was facing. In the seven months he’s had this company he hasn’t had time to stop and think of what a challenge it will be and how what he’s already overcame is nothing compared to the trials ahead.]

Steve: You already have my production company working for you, I’ve already been all over this country and Canada for you. Bring me on as part of the company, I’ll open up market avenues you haven’t dreamed about, I’ll work on branding, I’ll work on advertising, I’ll keep working television rights in more countries. Pay Per View. This is what I do Joe, you make me a part of this company and I’ll work until I drop to make this company the most successful in its industry inside two years….

[Joe could hear the passion pouring out of Steve’s voice, he could hear how badly he wanted this challenge. He also knew that he needed someone that believed like this. He could hire any consultant and adviser in the world but he knew they wouldn’t have this passion. Joe sat up and reached across the desk offering a handshake. Steve broke the handshake picking up the check to rip it in half. ]

Joe: Looks like we got a lot to talk about moving forward….

Steve: The next time we talk Joe will be at the press conference YOU call to announce that the stations want this thing on the air this December as sort of a “Holliday” special. We can go over the empire deal, my job title and we can address fans, potential sponsors and our employees all with one press conference...With all the real shows on hiatus the stations want some return on the payment they’re giving us. Get in touch with Strong, Chord and the boys tell them we go to work in two months and let them know they all need to be there for the press conference...

[We cut into the Manhattan Center where a giant stage and podium are sitting in front of a Hollyweird banner in the background. The press room is littered with several different media and news agencies as Steve Stennick steps to the podium to welcome the room to the first official Hollyweird press conference.]

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/RMJ44.jpg

Steve: On behalf of myself and Joe Stallings we would like to welcome and thank everybody for coming here tonight. We’re hereto officially announce that Hollyweird Grappling Company is open for business. The contracts have been signed, we have secured a television deal and we’re going to be bringing you holiday programming this very year. In a moment you can talk to some of the stars this organization is going to be show casing in a few weeks but first I’d like to get something off my chest…

[The camera pans to Sam Strong, Rip Chord, Liberty and Dusty Streets seated to the left of the podium along side JK Stallings.]

Steve: We chose this arena so that I could properly thank Richard Eisen……that’s right I’m not going to shy away from his name. I’m not going to act like he doesn’t exisit and I’m not going to pretend like he’s not the reason we’re standing here in front of you. Thank you for your twenty plus years of service to this business but your services are no longer needed. HGC wishes you the very best in your future endevours but we’re taking over now. This is 1997 and people want something more than good guy vs. bad guy, they want edge, they want unpredictability, they want excitement and in our case we hope they want something……weird. So on December 10th, 1996 Hollyweird Grappling Company is giong to be more than the weirdest pro wrestling company…..we’re going to be the best!

[steve steps down from the podium shaking Joe’s hand before taking a seat next to him. Over the next hour the likes of Sam Strong, Rip Chord, Liberty, Dusty Streets and others hype up the very first show of HGC Hollyweird TV]

Hollyweird Pro Wrestling debuted in December of 1996 under the guidance of Joe Keith Stallings Jr and his President of Operations Steve Stennick. Internally they chose a December start date in case things didn’t go well they could pass this 100 million dollar company off as a “Christmas Special” and move on. Word spread quickly when Sam Strong, Rip Chord and other legends were once again standing in a ring on live television Tuesday night. Four months later we’re on the eve of “Hollyweird”. Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord one more time live on pay per view for the HGC World Heavyweight Championship, with a million dollar set and the biggest band in the nation set to play live on pay per view this is without a doubt their biggest show of the year.

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast

Lucha has beaten nearly every cruiserweight thrown his way in the last four months. He’s been involved in three way dances, fatal four ways it doesn’t seem to matter he always comes out on top. The problem is he hasn’t pinned Paul Steadyfast. In their last confrontation it looked like Lucha might actually pin Paul Steadyfast when Barry Kingman made his debut in the company fresh off of being on Supreme T.V the week before. Quickly locking Lucha in a submission this two man rivalry now has a third wheel. Competition will be at an all time high when one of these men walk out of Hollyweird with the HGC Cruiserweight Championship.

Nation of Filth vs. Adrenaline Crush

Big Trouble is looking to live up to his name. Coming into the HGC as a veteran in street fights and hardcore matches he was looking for just that…..trouble. What he found was a fiery Irishman that had the same lust for destruction he did. Quickly forming a bond they have found themselves in several brawls both in and out of the ring with the Nation of Filth. Maybe its ironic that the self proclaimed “Filthiest tag team in HGC” prefers to use trash cans as weapons or maybe its planned that way. These two tag teams will collide in a tag team brawl at HGC’s biggest stage where every inch of the arena may be covered.

Giant Redwood vs. Andrew Brookfield

The Giant Redwood has been the most unstoppable force in all of pro wrestling Over the last three months he’s undefeated, compiling a record of 14-0. He’s yet to have a match last more than five minutes and he’s yet to be taken off of his feet. Andrew Brookfield being a veteran of this business for the last three decades believes he has the ability to humble this Giant. Although most everyone else feels Andrew’s just grown tired of having use of his legs.

The Blazing Flames vs. The Tag Team Specialists

The Tag Team Specialists are the self proclaimed best tag team in the world. They have a combined five world tag team championships between the two of them. They face off against who many feel truly are the best tag team in the world. With a staggering EIGHT World Tag Team Titles the Blazing Flames are the most successful tag team in history. When these two teams clashed for the first time live on HGC Hollyweird TV it looked as if the Flames were going to show the Tag Team Specialists just what made them great. With Oxford holding the tights and using the ropes for leverage they stole a victory from the Blazing Flames. Now in this rematch they can prove once and for all they truly are better than the Flames. Or will the Flames reach down and pull out another huge tag team victory on the biggest stage of all?

Phillip Roberts vs. Mystery Opponent

Major WG Reginald III jumped the rail at the second Hollyweird TV of the new year. He proclaimed in his words that “Dick Eisen” had fired him. He shouted that real professional wrestling was gone. That the likes of Crippler Kingman, Pat Deacon those days were replaced with fireworks and catchy theme songs. He swore to bring pro wrestling back into focus. On HGC’s first ever pay per view “Malice in Wonderland” he did just that with the surprise debut of his client Phillip Roberts. Roberts has racked up quite a few submission victories as his manager Major Reginald makes a weekly open challenge for anyone to out wrestle Phillip Roberts. At Hollyweird the Major has already made it known he will offer the same challenge and fully expects the same result. Can someone out wrestle this machine of a technition? Or will Phillip Roberts make yet another HGC Star submit?

HGC International Championship Match

“Cowboy” Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine

Ricky Dale Johnson has come right off of the independent circuit and straight into HGC. He’s came close to beating both Rip Chord and Dread in just the first four months of the company. He’s going up Peter Valentine who doesn’t believe Ricky Dale or any of these new guys deserve “his spot”. Can this nice southern boy finally get himself over the hump and gain the biggest victory of his career? Or will he have just another “almost” victory in this HGC International Title match up?

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/DustyStreets.jpghttp://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/VS.jpghttp://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/TysonBaine.jpg

BLZ vs. Dusty Streets

Dusty Streets left his father, he left his little brother and for the first time in his career he walked into a locker room that didn’t have a family member in it. He knew this was his last run, that his final years were approaching. He set out to become something nobody in his family has ever done. He set out to become the Heavyweight Champion of the world. It doesn’t take long in this business for even the most focused of men to get side tracked. Enter Karen Killer. For reasons unknown to anyone her and her “master” as she refers to him have chosen Dusty. They see a certain rage, a sliver of hate, desperation. They see a man at his breaking point and they want to break him. She sent her Dark Demon after him and now she’s sending the very keeper to the gates of hell after him. The Demon of the Deep, BLZ Bubb takes on Dusty Streets in an unsanctioned, unofficial match up. Dusty has said he’s ending this at Hollyweird. He’s taking that hate, that rage and he’s channeling it into this Demon of a man. Can Dusty walk into hell and walk out with his soul? Or will he burn on the biggest stage of them all? Is there a master to this group of soul burners? Or is this all Karen’s twisting of words to get Dusty to bare his soul one last time?

<br>

Liberty vs. Dread

Both of these men were just seconds away from main eventing this very show. With Liberty facing off against Rip Chord he had him all but beaten when we first saw Rip’s mysterious, masked body guard who promptly cost Liberty the match up. Dread faced off against Sam Strong but couldn’t over power Strong who seems to be on a mission to be the first ever HGC World Champion. Liberty hasn’t been shy about proclaiming himself better than everyone else in HGC and promising that the first chance he gets he’s retiring Chord and then gunning for whoever the champion is. Dread wants Liberty to do his talking in the ring. Can Dread humble the young and already successful Liberty? Or will Liberty finally put Dread down and head straight for the HGC World Championship?

Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord

The headline says everything you need to know about it. One man represents the people, he represents the hard work and guts you need in any walk of life to succeed. The other represents himself. He’s been talked about in circles as being the most gifted wrestler ever and he knows it. Neither one of these men are fools, they know this is it for them. They have one last time to call themselves champion of the world. Rip Chord has taken to calling himself the “King of Pro Wrestling”. He’s speaking about ushering in an “Era of Excellence”. He’s had a mysterious masked wrestler backing him up and bailing him out wherever he goes. What kind of impact will this masked bodyguard have in the main event? What Rip is talking nobody, including Sam Strong knows. What he does know is that he’s not going to let it happen. Rip Chord as World Champion would give this man the control, power and “stroke” needed to literally rule over the pro wrestling world. Can Sam Strong stare down the impossible and out manned odds to do what he’s always done? Or is it too much, too soon for Sam Strong this time? The main event for Holllyweird and the very future of the company is on the line.

The opening has got me intruiged. I'm onboard.

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast - HGC Cruiserweight Title Match

Mr. Lucha is better - or at least, he has more upside, if I'm remembering rightly.

Adrenaline Crush (Big Trouble/Phil Templeton) vs. The Nation of Filth

Neither team is particularly talented, but I'm FAIRLY sure that Adrenaline Crush aren't over enough to take this.

Giant Redwood vs. Andrew Brookfield

Redwood sucks, but Brookfield is so far over the hill he's settled down in a nice bungalo.

The Blazing Flames vs. The Tag Team Specialists

Flames even the score, but I doubt it's over with.

"Enforcer" Philip Roberts w/ Major Reginald III vs. Open Challenge

I don't tend to go with ???, call it a gut feeling.

"Cowboy" Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine - HGC International Match

Valentine is terrible and deserves to win no matches ever.

BLZ Bubb w/ Karen Killer vs. Dusty Streets

If I'm remembering rightly, Dusty is pretty old.

Liberty vs. "The Monster" Dread

Dread is better, but...

Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord - HGC World Heavyweight Title Match

...there seem to be rumblings of a feud here.

Excited for this one, Sten!

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast - HGC Cruiserweight Title Match

Lucha is an icon - Barry and Paul aren't.

Adrenaline Crush (Big Trouble/Phil Templeton) vs. The Nation of Filth

Sounds like you have big things planned for Adrenaline Crush whereas the Nation of Filth are...garbage!?!?!?

Giant Redwood vs. Andre Brookfield

Squash!

The Blazing Flames vs. The Tag Team Specialists

Flip of a coin. I like the Flames, but they are a bit long in the tooth - though the Specialists aren't exactly young!

"Enforcer" Philip Roberts w/ Major Reginald III vs. Open Challenge

Major Reginald is one of my favorites and I see him doing great things with the Enforcer.

"Cowboy" Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine - HGC International Match

I like RDJ, but Valentine is probably more established at this point.

BLZ Bubb w/ Karen Killer vs. Dusty Streets

Baine is Pain

Liberty vs. "The Monster" Dread

Liberty can still lose and come out looking good. If Dread takes a loss already, can he really be "The Monster"?

Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord - HGC World Heavyweight Title Match

Much as I love Rip, Strong makes for a better champ (with Dread and BLZ chasing).

Thank you to everyone that has predicted and replied so far. I love the 97 C Verse maybe more than any other mod so I wanted to take my time and find the right fit. I played three months to Hollyweird to make sure I could make it last. After that is when I decided to make it into a dynasty. Since then I've written around eight or nine complete shows to make sure I wouldn't suffer burn out.

This is sort of a thank you and to anyone else that might want to predict I'm issuing a 12 hour notice of sorts for the show. From now on I'll try to get in a 24 hour notice but my weekend is looking tight the way it is and I want this first (our biggest) show up for a few days before I dive head on into this thing.

So thank you and if you still want to predict the show goes up in about 14 hours.

Okay I have never played as HGC in the 97 mod so these picks are going to be way off base:

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast - HGC Cruiserweight Title Match

Adrenaline Crush (Big Trouble/Phil Templeton) vs. The Nation of Filth

NOF FTW! I love the NOF!

Giant Redwood vs. Andre Brookfield

You can just fire Redwood right now.

The Blazing Flames vs. The Tag Team Specialists

"Enforcer" Philip Roberts w/ Major Reginald III vs. Open Challenge

"Cowboy" Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine - HGC International Match

I would rather see RDJ win but I have a feeling Peter shall.

BLZ Bubb w/ Karen Killer vs. Dusty Streets

Liberty vs. "The Monster" Dread

Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord - HGC World Heavyweight Title Match

Rip's theme song has to be I Drink Alone.

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast - HGC Cruiserweight Title Match

Mr. Lucha is a Lucha legend, while Barry and Paul are useful mechanics.

Adrenaline Crush vs. The Nation of Filth

I'm liking this team a lot, whereas the Filth are terrible, regardless of the year.

Giant Redwood vs. Andre Brookfield

He may be truly awful, but he has the "it" factor.

The Blazing Flames vs. The Tag Team Specialists

Should be a fantastic match. Flames win with the Specialists looking strong in the loss.

"Enforcer" Philip Roberts w/ Major Reginald III vs. Open Challenge

An open challange always gives the chance of a new signing upsetting the named wrestler, but I suspect this will be an enhancement match to highlight Roberts' skills.

"Cowboy" Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine - HGC International Match

RDJ is a future Total Legend, Valentine is a current legendary pain.

BLZ Bubb w/ Karen Killer vs. Dusty Streets

Always worth building your monster heel

Liberty vs. "The Monster" Dread

See above. Also sets up a Dread vs Sam program (see below)

Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord - HGC World Heavyweight Title Match

I personally would have Rip win and make Sam chase, but to be honest the smart move is to end with the happy ending.

[We’re taken inside the Stallings Center with over 20,000 roaring fans. The camera has panned wide trying to capture just how many HGC fans have packed into this place. The dim lights are replaced with a BLAST of light. Fireworks start going off before one of the hottest bands in the nation starts a famous guitar rif to start the show. As the song winds to a close we’re taken ringside with Jason and Kyle dressed in Tuxedos.]

Jason: Hello wrestling fans and WELCOME to the biggest pro wrestling show of the year, to the entertainment spectacle of a life time. Welcome to Hollyweird…

<br>

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/KyleRhodes_alt2.jpg

Kyle: I know that Mr. Stallings has more money than God and I know Mr. Stennick likes to spend that money but I had no idea we’d get THAT band playing here tonight and look at this set would ya….

Jason: The band, the set and then there is the matches. The Cruiserweight Champion will be crowned, the HGC International Champion and of course Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord in the main event for the HGC World Heavyweight Championship. I’m tired of talking about this event Kyle its time to get it started…

[The band breaks into the official theme song for HGC Hollyweird working the crowd into a frenzied storm. As they complete the theme they immediately go into Steve Stennick’s theme with the President of the company walking out to the ring dressed in a tux.]

Steve: I wanted to get some things off my chest, some things that not even the networks will let me say, some things that I’ve been asked for a while. I’ve been asked for three months now why we waited this long to debut in the brand new Stallings Center. I was asked why we held our press conference in Eisen’s back yard, why our first ever show was in Eisen’s backyard and not at home in LA, in the Stallings Center. I’ll tell you why….

[The fans have grown mostly silent as Steve seems to be laying it all out there.]

Steve: Because in this age of pro wrestling every week we’re told something is huge, its giant, its never been done before……its SPECIAL! I want that word to mean something and that’s why I waited three months to pack this arena, that’s why I waited three months until the biggest night of the year for Joe, for me, for this company, for the wrestlers, for you fans. I waited until then to debut in our home city, in our home state, in our home ARENA! So tonight make our home your home and again THANK YOU for making HGC the most exciting television in the world and enjoy our biggest thank you we could come up with…..enjoy HOLLYWEIRD!

Jason: Powerful words by Steve Stennick and we’re going right to our first match of the evening. it’s the first of FOUR championship match ups tonight as these three men go at it to become the first ever HGC Cruiserweight Champion….

Mr. Lucha vs. Barry Kingman vs. Paul Steadyfast

The match up starts out as nearly a handicap match but it doesn’t take long for a mis place punch from Kingman to turn this back into every man for himself. Both Steadyfast and Kingman attempt to get Lucha to help them take the other one out but he’s having none of it. Kingman with a low blow and he has Mr. Lucha’s arms locked, Steadyfast off the ropes, Lucha dives out of the way and Kingman sends him through the ropes with an elbow. Steadyfast with a smirk turns RIGHT into a ‘rana. Lucha holds the legs as the fans count along for the three.

Winner via Pinfall @ 15:05 and the first ever HGC Cruiserweight Champion Mr. Lucha

MATCH RATING: C

Jason: What a match up, the pace of the match, the impact of the moves, just the entire thing what a way to open the show up.

Kyle: Those were some of the most crisp technical and high flying moves I’ve ever witnessed. How ironic we go from that to this next tag team brawl…..I mean match up.

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/HGC.jpghttp://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/Liberty-1.jpg

[We cut backstage where we see the HGC Hollyweird logo. This time Liberty is pacing back and forth in front of it. His hair is dripping wet. He turns to face the camera taking a long drink from a water bottle and tossing it as Jason begins to question him.]

Jason: Liberty a year ago literally nobody knew who you were. Now you’re taking on Dread, one of the biggest names ever in what is easily your biggest match ever. He says you’re talking trash, he says you don’t respect him, he says you’re not representing pro wrestling. He ever said he will BEAT the respect into you…

[Liberty stops pacing and snaps his head around, ****ing it sideways before letting a smirk grow out of one side quickly cutting Jason off.]

Liberty: Let me guess did he say I would “Dread” the day I ever cross paths with him? Respect huh? They say Liberty’s talking too much noise, they say Liberty’s not showing enough respect. They say Liberty’s not a real wrestler, that Liberty’s not a real threat. In fact that’s ALL they’ve done is say things. Does Liberty talk trash? Damn right I do? Do I respect Dread, Rip Chord or anybody else until I’m in the ring the with them? Damn right I don’t. So tonight Dread if you want to talk about respect, if you want to talk about wrestling I’m not going to be able to talk about those things. Because tonight I’m here for a FIGHT, tonight I’m here to kick ass. You tell me this isn’t a game. Yet all I see around me is chess players, is political game players. So tonight I’m going to play a game and Dread you’re the lucky next contestant on GET YOUR ASS KICKED!

Nation of Filth vs. Adrenaline Crush

There is no way to describe this other than a brawl. Phil starts out for his team but the more experienced Nation of Filth take advantage of the rookie. He gets the hot tag to Big Trouble who clears house. Finally once again tag team experience gives the Filth the edge. They give Phil a double shot to the head on the apron with trash cans. The referee tries to stop them from coming in the ring with them. Trouble is up and BOOTS the trash cans into their faces one at a time. Trouble drops down pinning the Nation of Filth.

Winners via Pinfall @ 9:06 Adrenaline Crush

<br>

[We cut to the back where there is a giant Hollyweird logo in the background. In comes Sam Strong with his arms looking as big as ever. You can hear him breathing, almost growling into the camera as he listens in for Jason’s questions.]

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/HGC.jpghttp://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/SamStrong_alt.jpg

Jason: Sam we won’t keep you long but tonight is what its all been leading up to. You’ve been here before, live on pay per view, the world watching, the World Championship on the line. Whats different about tonight Strong?

[sam snaps his head into the camera staring coldly before letting his up lip curl and he lets out a growl of a first sentence.]

Sam: Well ya know Jason that’s just it brother. Everywhere I go they say “Sam Strong you got this one in the bag brother” they say “been there done that”. But that’s just the thing Jason I’ve not ever been here and done this. This is a whole new ballgame brother and I don’t know what pitch Rip is going to throw next. Its always been just me and that slime ball. But now I got some masked dude coming out of the audience every show, I got him talking like he’s some kind of king, he’s talking about reigning in an era of Excellence brother. The whole thing smells bad the way it is brothers. You add on that its Rip Chord saying this and its even worse. I don’t know what he’s talking about, who this guy is, or when this era of Excellence starts. I do know that tonight I’m going to stare Rip Chord, his so called reign as king and this whole era of Excellence in the face. I’m going to do battle with it brothers and when its all said and done I will STRONG ARM all of it to the mat!

Giant Redwood vs. Andrew Brookfield

Before the bell even rings Redwood has booted Andrew in the face. He drops him with a gorilla press slam before finishing him off with a Redwood Splash. The fans are silent as they watch Andrew’s body twitch uncontrollably at the sound of the bell.

Winner via Pinfall @ 4:13 Giant Redwood

The fans sit in silence as Andrew’s twitching body is carted off on a stretcher. Just as they’re about to haul it out of the ring Redwood bounces off the ropes hitting ANOTHER Redwood Splash on the stretchered Andrew Brooks. With the stretcher broken in half referee’s swarm the ring to hold back this giant of a man while the medics race to secure Andrew on another stretcher.

Jason: Come on, you’ve made your point. You’re a big, bad giant. We get it, no need to put a mans health in danger AFTER the match the way he is.

Kyle: Calm down Jason I’m not doing the rest of this pay per view on my own because he heard you over here….

Jason: The Tag Team Specialists claime to be the best tag team in the world. Little known fact about Robert Oxford. He’s been World Tag Team Champions with a record FOUR different tag team partners. And he’s won those championships in THREE companies in two different countries…

Both teams are able to show off their tag team experience in this one. The Flames try to quicken the pace of the match while the Specialists try to slow it down. In the end a cross body from Teddy takes Joel Bryant to the outside. Joey Flame from the top with a Heat Seaking Missle Drop kick onto Oxford for the pinfall.

Major: Everybody in this company says they’re different than Dick Eisen. Yet when I have to stand out here and book my OWN matches for my client, when the greatest wrestler in the world doesn’t have so much as a match on the biggest pay per view of the year I think it shows you people that no matter what you’re last name is, Stennick, Stallings, Eisen you’re first names are all Dick! Phillip Roberts w/ Major Reginald III vs. Eclipse

Eclipse starts out fast enough ducking everything Phillips throws at him. Playing the ultimate hit and miss game has Roberts off his game. Major gets involved and it gives Phillip the opening he needs to slow the match down. He starts working the arm over of Eclipse before finally locking him in the RCT. The fans know its over but suddenly Roberts tosses him out of it to the mat. Eclipse is up again and starts crawling to the ropes. Roberts again locks him in that custom submission the RCT. Major is on the apron shouting to prove his point and Roberts drops him again. Eclipse can barely stand as Roberts bends down to lock in in a third time Eclipse rolls him up for a three count. The fans EXPLODE with cheers as Eclipse quickly gets out of the ring clutching his arm. Roberts and Major are stunned as the crowd roars in approval.

“Cowboy” Ricky Dale Johnson vs. Peter Valentine

This one is a brawl from the start. Johnson comes out a house of fire on Valentine. After Valentine realizes just how bad Ricky wants this he quicky resorts to cheating and short cuts to take control of the match. He slows it down and starts a methodical beating on Ricky. He calls for the Heart Breaker (Shoulder Breaker). Ricky wiggles down the backside and pushes Valentine into the turnbuckle. He goes for the Southern Justice (Nadowa). Valentine bails to the outside. Valentine is near the announce table with some female fan in the audience heckling him. He pie faces her down and Ricky comes through the ropes, Valentine with a smirk on his face BLASTS Ricky with the ring bell. Ricky is out cold with Peter rolling him in for the easy three count. The fans are booing as Peter holds the HGC International Championship high.

Winner via Pinfall and new HGC International Champion @ 12:05 Peter Valentine

[With Ricky Dale Johnson coming to his feet in the ring Kyle Rhodes steps in to interview him. Ricky still seems dazed.]

Kyle: Ricky do you want to take us through that final minute of the match, you seemed to have him right where you wanted him and then he lured you out here with what appeared to be some woman in the audience.

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/RickyDaleJohnson.jpg

Ricky Dale: I’ll tell you what happened Kyle, I just learned a hell of a lot about myself. I’m telling you, I’m telling these people and I’m telling Peter Valentine from this point forward I’m a very very different man. If that piece of garbage Valentine thinks this is over he better think again. As far as I’m concerned its just started…

Kyle: Thank you “Cowboy” and we look forward to seeing you in action this Tuesday….

[Ricky Dale Johnson starts to walk away when the word cowboy is uttered he slowly turns back around and pulls the mic and Kyle into his face.]

Ricky: If you ever call me “Cowboy” again I’ll kick your teeth so far down your throat you really will be talking out of your ass out here in front of these people…

BLZ Bubb w/ Karen Killervs. Dusty Streets

Dusty goes right at this demon of a man. BLZ is actually caught off guard by Dusty’s aggressiveness. Dusty gives it everything he has but BLZ is giving right back. BLZ doesn’t attempt a single pinfall and neither does Dusty. These two men are in a war. BLZ sets Dusty on the top rope before climbing up alongside of him. Dusty starts peppering him with punches, BLZ locks his hand around Dusty’s throat. Karen Killer is shouting for BLZ to choke slam Dusty to the floor. Dusty with one final punch stuns BLZ, he tosses BLZ from the top rope THROUGH the announce table. The fans are in shock, BLZ is not moving and has been counted out. Liberty vs. Dread

Dread starts out with the power advantage pounding on Liberty. It doesn’t take him long to fire back at Dread knocking the big man down several times. Dread’s size and power start to take their toll and after several failed attempts at a Liberation slam Dread is fully in control. Vessey ducks under a double clothesline, the Demons turn and Bryan hits Anger with a Vessey line sending him up and over to the floor. Spite reaches for a haymaker, Bryan ducks, tags in Larry. Spite marches towards the fresh tag. Vessey with a SICK CYCLE (tornado punch). Spite staggers back and Bryan drops him with the Vessey Driver (Death Valley Driver). Sam Strong vs. Rip Chord

The two men are staring across the ring at each other, the fans are out of their seats as the opening bell rings. Strong over powers Chord from the start tossing him around the ring. Chord seems almost frustrated that Strong is tossing him around the ring at will. Sam seems to be all business going for covers and working his match against Rip. Meanwhile Rip Chord seems out of his element, he’s not working on Sam’s neck and he can’t gain control of the match. He keeps trying to overpower and brawl with the larger Sam Strong. As Strong continues to pound on Chord he finally decides to bail out of the ring and regroup himself. Sam is anxious to keep this one in the ring urging the ref to have a consistent ten count.

Jason: A little known fact about Rip Chord is that he debut in professional wrestling THIRTY years ago tonight. I have followed him for much of those thirty years as a fan and I have to say I’ve NEVER seen him this rattled…

Kyle: He’s not wrestling his match Jason, its like he came out here tonight after thirty years and decided to wrestle someone else’s game…

Rip insists that the referee back Sam into the corner while he re enters the ring. While doing that Rip slyly un does the turnbuckle and turns the tide of the match. Driving Sam head first into the turnbuckle after a well timed low blow. Sam is busted open and Rip starts working over the neck of Strong. The once cheering fans are now sitting in silence as Rip works over the neck of Sam Strong continuing to bloody him in this main event.

Chord calls for the Rip Chord DDT, Strong powers out and shoots him into the ropes. Strong with a DIVING Strong Arm! The fans ERUPT with cheers but Chord DUCKS, Strong nails the referee and Chord quickly rolls out of the ring leaving the referee down.

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/TheMaskedMauler.jpg

The Masked bodyguard of Rip Chord has slid into the ring. He’s looking for a big boot, Strong ducks the boot and NAILS the Strong Arm. Chord is watching on in shock as Strong RIPS the mask from this masked man.

<br>

http://i1017.photobucket.com/albums/af295/StennickGDS/HGC/CharlieThatcher.jpg

<br>

Charlie Thatcher is the man under the mask these last few months. Strong tosses Thatcher out of the ring and Chord reluctantly gets back into the ring. The two men are staring each other down when someone comes from under the ring, a chop block to the back of Sam’s knee and Chord takes the opportunity to PLANT him with the Rip Chord DDT. The man pulls the referee up for the three count. The fans are raining down hate onto Chord and this man as they embrace with the HGC Hollyweird Championship.

With Strong still down and the boos just as Strong, Charlie Thatcher joins these men in the ring. The three of them are nothing but smiles as they hold up an exhausted Rip Chord. As the boos continue Chord takes a moment to flash that devilish grin to the unconscious Sam Strong before the men exit the ring leaving Sam Strong laying out cold in the middle of the ring on the biggest night in Hollyweird Grappling Company’s history.

Ok the prediction results are in lets see who I’m going to be hitting up for lottery numbers in the near future.

Codey 4/9 you were on fire at one point being 4/5 but then the last half of the card did you in. Still good call on some of those.

Arwink 5/9 – Just like Codey you were 5/6 at one point but the main event portion of the card threw you off. Dang good job predicting though.

Blake Trask - 6/9 – GREAT call with predicting the open challenge to win. Major had been calling people out to face Phillip Roberts since Malice in Wonderland (January ppv) so it was time for someone to make him pay. You did good with the main event scene well better than the rest.

Midnightnick – 6/9 just like Blake you were able to predict the main event scene pretty well. Nobody has predicted Dusty to beat BLZ yet which is surprising a bit. I guess everyone figures BLZ is such a big deal and so new that I’d use Dusty to push him up to the main event. I got other plans for the Demon from the Deep.

Jingo – 5/9 – Still a damn good job but once again Dread and BLZ seem to be two favorites to win here. Strange that people would predict BLZ to win seemingly because of his youth and importance later on but not go with Liberty. Either way that’s pretty good to come into something cold and do that well.

Liquid Swords – 6/9 – So far you’re tied with the lead, great job getting the open challenge right but I have a feeling whoever predicts Dusty over BLZ is going to eek out a victory that is IF anyone predicted it. Great job man.

Toeachtheirown – 1/9 – Tough luck man but I know its tough to come into something that’s got three months behind it that you haven’t seen and get much right. I hope you stick around.

Ajcrible – 4/9 – You were in my head at times getting perfect predictions in my California Pro Wrestling dynasty luckily I was able to fool you a bit this time around.

BHK – 3/9 – Not bad dude for knowing nothing of the universe basically. You got Rip right and some others right. Stick around you can only go up from here.

Truth 4/9 – Like a lot of guys you predicted the undercard perfectly but stumble with the main event scene. Great job though.

MJstark – 5/9 – You were on quite the roll until the main event scene tripped you up like everyone else. Glad to see a strong showing from ya.

Well I guess that concludes it. Nobody guessed Dusty to beat BLZ and only Liquid Swords and Blake Trask predicted that Liberty would go over Dread. Great job guys the winners this time around were Midnightnick, Liquid Swords and Blake Trask. Congrats guys!

News continues to pour in over HGC’s Hollyweird last night. Reports are that Steve Stennick, Joe Stallings, Sam Strong, Rip Chord and Dread are all extremely happy with the show. None of them expected it to go as great as it did.

Critical reception has been just as big with many rating it as the best show in the companies history up until this point. Not only the best show in the companies history but the best show in North America this year.

All of this hype from both the fans and the workers hasn’t gone unnoticed by Richard Eisen. He’s fuming about the fact that they scored a 1.92 with Hollyweird. Although he doubled that with a 3.80 this month that doesn’t tell the whole story. HGC’s Hollyweird number is just shown in North America. While Eisen’s pay per views are broadcast on every continent.

We'll continue to bring you information on these warring company as it comes our way.

Mr. Lucha vs. Electrico

Mr. Lucha won the championship in the first ever match in the history of HGC Hollyweird. His reward is defending against his best friend live on Hollyweird T.V. Can Lucha put behind the biggest night of his American career and look at his best friend Electrico? Will he take it easy or not take seriously enough his best friend? Or will Electrico simply show HGC fans that Mr. Lucha may be a legend but he’s not the only talented luchadore in HGC.

Adrenaline Crush vs. Savage Fury

Their name says it all. They want to crush the competition by any means possible. Locked in a brawl with the Nation of Filth at Hollyweird they look to continue that same mentality and fight style as they take on possibly the toughest most menacing team in HGC. Can the Adrenaline Crush win two nasty tag team fights in a row? Or will a well rested Savage Fury show Adrenaline Crush just how far they have to go before they’re championship material?

Redwood vs. Claude Banks

This isn’t a question of if Claude Banks can survive. it’s a question of will his ability to walk and use all of his motor skills survive this match?

Phillip Roberts w/ Major Reginald vs. Eclipse

Coming as a surprise to no one, Major Reginald has DEMANDED a rematch against the mysterious, masked Eclipse. Losing his own personal, open challenge at Hollyweird to the masked cruiserweight both Major and Phillip Roberts are looking to show the world just how lucky Eclipse is and just how dangerous Phillip Roberts is.

Peter Valentine vs. Shawn Gonzalez

Peter Valentine stole the HGC International Championship from the highly favored Ricky Dale Johnson. That’s what fans all over the world are saying. What he’s saying is he’s moving on from Ricky Dale. Ricky isn’t a former champion so he’s not allowing a rematch which means that Peter will move forward taking on the experienced and exciting new comer Shawn Gonzalez in his first title defense.

Mr. Lucha vs. Electrico - HGC Cruiserweight Title Match

Big title wins on PPV aren't generally followed by losses on TV.

Adrenaline Crush vs. Savage Fury

I have a feeling this IS building towards a title feud.

Giant Redwood vs. Claude Banks

Put it this way; only way Redwood loses is via DQ by beating Banks up too bad.

Phillip Roberts w/ Major Reginald vs. Eclipse

Underhanded tactics earn back the loss but leave the questions unanswered.

Peter Valentine vs. Shawn Gonzalez - HGC International Championship Match

Similar logic to earlier - feud-suggesting retention won't really be followed by a loss... much as I loath Valentine.

The Blazing Flames vs. The Vessey's w/ Coach Dick Pangrazzio - HGC World Tag Team Title Match

I suspect Bryant and Oxford have something more to say here.

Sam Strong vs. Liberty vs. Dread - Number One Contenders ELIMINATION Match

Sam has more personal beef with Chord.
