SHIMMER Women Athletes

 

As part of the recent sale of Ring of Honor to Sinclair Broadcasting Group, SHIMMER owner Dave Prazak offered SHIMMER the opportunity of a lifetime by aligning the womens organisation with the North American broadcasting group. Not only will SHIMMER be now known as SHIMMER: Women of Honor, but the company will be launching a 30 minute highlight television show on Thursday late nights on the Sinclair group.

New SHIMMER CEO John Empire is said to be delighted to strengthen the bonds between Ring of Honor and SHIMMER and is looking forward to bringing the joint venture to Sinclair.

Following the success of the first episode of SHIMMER Women of Honor, the organisation has changed product to mirror that of Ring of Honor. Some wrestling critics claimed that most of the matches on the previous card didn't have the in-ring intensity that fit the style of match that SHIMMER now put on.

SHIMMER management will rectify this next week.

 

* OOC: Ie - bare with me, whilst I get the product right. The matches I had on this card should have pulled a lot better ratings, but I got the agent note of the match didn't contain enough danger/intensity. The Data Check sees no problems this time around, so we shall see.

Madison Eagles:

Rebecca, ever since I have become the SHIMMER Champion, there have been pretenders. Athletes in the locker room claiming my victory was a fluke, that I don't deserve this title. At Volume 31, I defeated MsChif to win the SHIMMER Championship. Since then, I have defeated some of the greatest competitors in this business. I beat Cheerleader Melissa. I beat Mercedes Martinez. I beat MsChif again. And last time out, on Volume 40, I beat you Ayako Hamada. Unfortunately, I aim to prove all my critics wrong and defeat you a second time and become the greatest SHIMMER Champion in history.

* Women Superstars Unleashed have thinned down on in-ring talent this week, by releasing over 20 superstars, including the likes of Daizee Haze, Kellie Skater and former WSU Champion Alicia.

 

* On WWE Programming, there were wins on Smackdown for Trish Stratus (against Tamina) and Nikki Bella and Gail Kim defeated Kharma and Kelly Kelly on Raw.

Allison Danger returns to in-ring action next week, joining Pretty Bitchin' as they look to rebuild following defeat to Rachel & Jessica's Excellent tag team last week. They will be taking on the incredibly arrogant partnership of Melanie Cruise & Annie Social, who are joined by the pushy newcomer Mia Yim.

One half of the former longest running tag team champions in SHIMMER history, Nicole Matthews returns to singles action against the very promising up and coming Sparkle prospect Taylor Made.

Womens Wrestling Review

Week 3, July 2011

 

* EVOLVE continue to bolster their womens division by signing MsChif & Shantelle Taylor to long term contracts. It is said that EVOLVE are looking to create a women's division (and championship) to rival the mens competition

 

* After two weeks of criticism from Sinclair Broadcasting Group, SHIMMER Women of Honor managed to increase the television rating to a 0.02. Officials at SBG are said to be monitoring the situation and although they are said to be happy with the product, the ratings speak for themselves.

 

* On WWE Programming, at the MITB PPV Brie Bella defeated Gail Kim to retain the Divas Championship. Also on the card, Vickie Guerrero and Natalya defeated Trish Stratus and Layla

 

* At the TNA Destination X PPV, Mickie James defeated Velvet Sky to retain the Knockouts Championship, in an excellent knockouts contest.
