Don Hughes
Maybe it's just me, but I could really see Jack Griffith as a guy like "The Ram." Two great workers in their time, fallen on hard times, and are now traveling the smaller promotions, looking for one more shot at the big time. gerad
For some reason I have a soft spot for Jack Griffith, and almost always hire him with the hopes of making him a top wrestler in whichever company I happen to be using at that time. D-Lyrium
I'd never thought about it before, but as soon as I saw the topic title I thought "hey, yeah!". Impossible for Randy to have been a direct influence on Jack of course, but The Ram is, afterall, supposed to be an archetypal 80's wrestler, so it's probably not much of a stretch to imagine Jack as 'one of those guys'. Me too but he always just ends up mid to lower card. Not a bad thing, though because he puts on good support matches.
Rayelek
So does that mean my indy company should have Jack "The Ram" Griffith vs. Ayatollah Mustafa?
Hashasheen
I disagree. Randy seems to have been much more successful than Griffith, while Griffith can probably wrestle a damn sight better than Randy did in the movie. I've always imagined Griffith as something akin to Eddie Gilbert.
