Thanks for the comments everyone. @Boltinho, Rathen - that was what I was worried about and why I asked the question originally, and I'd probably be in the same boat. If it was an SWF diary, I think we'd be fine, but for a region hardly anyone knows about that was always going to be a possibility. I think the write-up style will be the same for the next shows (but a bit more in-depth, as mentioned), however I've been playing around with the pictures a bit. If people could let me know whether they prefer the pictures then I'll go forward with that style...

<div style="background-color:#e4dec4;border-style:solid;border-width:3px";">

...

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/SOTBPW/Cards/BloodRaven.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/SOTBPW/Cards/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/SOTBPW/Cards/Hysteria.jpg

Blood Raven def.

Hysteria

Fairly solid opener, if not a little predictable.
I really like this style you've got going, slick, easy and quick to read. Out of curiosity, will their be times where you input more detail? Not that it's a deal breaker, but it'd be nice maybe for big events to have a little more almost emotion?

The layout with the pictures is very nice indeed, and all the new renders look amazing! I'll be reading!

I'm definitely leaning towards adding the pictures - if everyone else agrees I'll go back and edit the full card.

In terms of adding more detail, that's definitely something that you'll see from the next card onwards. The idea of posting the PPV yesterday was to give the readers a quick 'this is where we are' post that the next two months' worth of shows will build upon. My SOTBPW only runs six PPVs a year, you see. So you have a rough idea of what has gone on up to Verano de Lucha, but generally things will be moving on as we head towards El Dia Nacional De Lucha in September. So the next show will still be easy to read (I hope), but there will be more information about timings, endings, big moments and, perhaps most importantly, storylines that weren't really necessary for the last show.

Hope that answers your question, and it's good to have you on board as always!

I should also add (to everyone) that, unlike my previous dynasties, this diary will be running alongside the save game (so I haven't actually booked the next show to put the preview card up!). That means there is a much greater scope for discussion, and exchanges of ideas - readers will play a big part in deciding future gimmicks, for example, if they wish to do so. As always, I'll try and answer any and all questions so if you'd like to ask something about the roster, or the style, or lucha libre, question a booking decision, or suggest a storyline then you would be most welcome <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

Yeah jhd that's superb - I like the "low detail" writeup too, as I've gotten into bad habits with writing too much for matches recently in my diary, I thinks.

One final thing and it's just a personal taste - centering everything? Maybe? I dunno, I think it looks good for little "newsletter" style things like you've got going on here. But I appreciate you may not want it.

I'll still be reading <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

edit: Also massive lols at you (presumably) forgetting to set CL as Fuerza's target for the promo <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

With this style of writing I can go as in-depth as I like. If the match is crap, why not just say it was crap? If I make a mistake in the booking (like picking tainted instead of cheap during the tag match lol), then I might as well point it out.

Plus, at the moment I've lost a lot of free time. I find it much easier to read a short write-up than something enormous, however good that may be. As always, my friend, your imagery is absolutely amazing. Whether it's USPW, SWF, or now SOTBPW, you've found a way to create a unique experience for all three. This time around, it's great to see someone of your caliber tackle a region that I know absolutely nothing about. I mean, there are the few people I've hired out of Mexico but I'm in the dark about the region as a whole. I'm excited to follow what you put forward with this.

I've recently started to watch more Lucha Libre, as my wife and I have like a billion channels in Spanish on our basic connection; so, I'm growing really interested in the tradition/exciting action of it all.

Best of luck with this. Knowing your past, I know it'll be well-written & received.

jhd, is there any chance you could release the renders you did for this diary? As in could you put them in the C-Verse Rerender thread? It seems a shame to let all these new, beautiful renders fade out

I'm actually away from home for the next few days. I will try and remember to do it when I get back.

I keep meaning to try and start this game up again, actually, but I've been extremely busy of late.
