The London-Verse

Best of luck with that. Being a fresher I suppose you have painted the town in vomit?

Ha, I have not. I am a non-drinking fresher (wait, non-drinking and fresher don't really go together :p. Lets just say non-drinking person ;)).

Out of curiosity where did you go Uni'?

Great pic, but shouldn't that be El Gato Negro, for it to be The Black Cat? What you have now would be "The Feline Cat."

I looked it up in a Spanish dictionary and apparently Gato is for like a pet cat with Felino being more ferocious like a lion. Gato certainly sounds better and that is what I was originally going to put before I double checked.

EDIT: Just realised I mucked up the name above it. It should read El Felino Negro

Great stuff London, particularly your last few masked efforts. I think most renderers have a bit of a love/hate relationship with masks, myself included.

I can't help but think Hielo Rey should be changed from Ice King to Ice Angel going by the blue design, but no matter, it's my favourite of the lot.

Señor México

I love the colors on Senor Mexico! These are all fantastic. I haven't been this excited for a mod since the C-Verse 1977 one!

Do you put create the designs on a texture map and do it "in program" for these masks or do you just draw in PS or whatever program after the fact?

I create the patterns on the mask by either using paint or GIMP depending on the complexity involved. The one in particular you are talking about was done entirely in microsoft paint. I vary the transparency layer in accordance with the desired effect I want the mask to have. I then create a copy of the transparency map and go to work with making the design.

Thanks for everybody who has offered support and words of encouragement, it really does make the process altogether more enjoyable. :)
