His first misfortune came in 2005 when, after years of honing his talents as part of the NWA's midcard, Lavigne was scheduled to score an upset win over then NWA champion *insert name here*. However during the match Lavigne was accidentally knocked out and unable to complete the match. Since then he has been plagued by many more injuries, that have left him a shell of his former self. Despite his injuries Lavigne remains a popular feature on NWA's midcard, however it is very unlikely he will ever reach the heights it was once thought he would.
