WAR on the Vegas Strip...

I know I haven't been around commenting and predicting much. I have my own personal reasons for that which have nothing to do with your diary so I'll just leave that at that. But that being said, the shows have been absolutely amazing. Enjoying the SoA storyline in particular. Leper Messiah reminds me of Michael Myers from the Halloween movies and that is such a good thing.

I completely understand, Angel. My ability to read/respond/enjoy others work has been slim-to-nil as of late (due to the insanity of my schedule right now). I know there are works out there I would love to jump into (yours being one of them) but I find myself with SUCH limited time that, when I am on here, it's typically to keep WAR trucking along. In reality though, I may have more time to read in the future here as I'm starting to feel the wheels coming to a stop for myself. The lightened writing style is helping (cutting down shows from 24-28 pages down to 12 pages overall in Word) but the lack of time brings about a big challenge (as I don't ever want to do anything half-thought out). More or less, through all my rambling here, what I'm trying to say is that I understand full-force that it can be tough to keep up when you've got your own thing going. You've been a great friend on here; so, I know you're always there for support.

As for the notes about the dynasty itself, thank you for that! The Michael Myers play on Leper Messiah is a pretty good character to have in mind. I didn't want him to be another monster who acts in a feverish manner and mows over the competition. Sure, he still DOES mow people over, and in a violent manner no doubt, but the detached/blank stare amongst the insanity is really what sets him apart for me. It's as though he's in a world all his own; barely alive as he violently assaults the competition. To me, that's the scariest heel one could create right there.

As for the SoA, I'm quite happy with their tone thus far. In a way, they're a cross between the nWo and DX. What I mean by that is, they function in a 'we're taking over' kind of way (when not really; more so focused on ushering in an overtaking of anarchy versus THEY actually wanting to be in control of the company) but with a cross of high-arrogant/I do what I want/degenerate. They feel entirely rock-n-roll to me (which makes them somewhat of a tweener role but mostly heel due to their destruction of all things WAR & Stallings).

All in all, Thank you for the feedback/support. It was really nice to the ole' WAR thread bounce back up to the top!

With the first-round now under our belts, the famed "Clash of Nations" tournament has progressed with four nations still left standing: Canada, the Samoan Islands, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. Regardless of how this came to pass, touching upon the controversy that is El Platinum-ay's win-in-name-only victory over an injured Brutus O'Leary, those left competing have the profound opportunity to pull in the FIRST golden cup for their homeland; a fact that NO ONE takes lightly.

With round-two set to start this week on "Battleground" (Power vs. El Platinum-ay), who will bring their nation ever so closer to a world-dominating win?

WAR is coming to an end I do believe. That said, It is my goal to make it to October 12th; as that would mark the year anniversary of this dynasty's start. Honestly, this is a HUGE goal of mine as, in the past few projects before this one, I was barely able to go 2-3 months (let alone a FULL YEAR!). Needless to say, that's an important 'get' for me.

I'm planning on bringing the project to a close with the next pay-per-view entitled "Extreme Measures". That puts 3-more shows (PPV included) before us.

Truthfully, it's sad to know that the end is near; however, I know now that it's time. Classes are taking up the majority of my free time & recently it's been harder to justify the time on TEW.

That said, I hope you enjoy the last couple shows on the way to the end!

Thank you ALL for your support with this.

I am sorry to hear that the end is near, my friend. You have done an excellent job in this diary and given your readers, myself included, hours of enjoyment. I understand about real life coming first, though. But I will say that I'll be reading up until the end!

It's official. MMA mega-star Raul Hughes is returning to Wrestling Action in Revolt THIS WEEK on "Battleground"!

While critics continue to scratch their heads over WHY Hughes would return to a company he once publically tore apart in the media, initial rumors out of WAR headquarters claim that, as always, 'money talks'. This shouldn't come as a shock to anyone who knows the "Demolition Expert", as Hughes is known for his love of the big fight/big money scenario during his MMA tenure; however, upon his initial one-off departure in January, NO ONE thought this reunion to be remotely possible. Fast-foward 8-months later and that's exactly what we have....

What will his role be upon his return? Is there any truth to the rumor that Stallings HIMSELF hired the KO-artist in which to add some backing to counter the "Sons of Anarchy" and their wave of chaos?

There's a chance WAR's safety may reside upon the back of the returning Hughes; an insane notion given the fact that Raul once tried to bury the company in the media.

Let the demolition commence...

Overall, a great-looking card, E-V. I think you are definitely going to be going out on top as we head toward the final pay-per-view of the WAR era.

Masked Cougar© vs. Insane Machine vs. Matt Sparrow vs. Samuel Pratt vs. Snap Dragon vs. Velocidad

[WAR Blitzkreig Championship]

[Over-the-top-rope Battle Royal]

Masked Cougar retains the title by last elimination Snap Dragon, leading to a match between the two at the final WAR pay-per-view.

Gorgon w/Ravyn vs. "MS. PERFECT" Suzi Stepford

Gordon SMASH Suzi Homemaker.

"THE TRADITIONALIST" Eric Tyler vs. "BIG...BAD..." Rex

I'm torn on this match. I love Eric Tyler. However my USPW affiliation says Rex always should win. The winner ends up being Rex when The Ring Generals attack and cause a DQ leading to a return match at the final WAR pay-per-view.

El Platinum-ay w/Jennifer Heat vs. Puerto Rican Power

["Clash of Nations" Semi-Final Match]

The Greatest Mexican Hero picks up the win. I believe the finals will be El Platinum-ay versus Art Reed in what should be a fantastic matchup.

Art Reed, Chris Caulfield, and ???? vs. SoA (Troy Tornado, Nemesis, and Leper Messiah)

[No Disqualification Match]

[3 vs. 3 Tag Match]

It is very hard to pick against Mr. Squiggles. That much is certain. However, the No DQ stipulation favors the Sons of Anarchy. El Platinum-ay interferes, attacking Art Reed, setting up their Clash Of Nations Finals match.

"We cannot confirm the details of Raul's contract; however, we can confirm that he will be returning to WAR this week on 'Battleground'. After a long, grueling, yet insightful negotiation process, both parties agree that such a signing holds great value. Tune in this week to watch our client do what he does best; demolish the competition."

The quote above came directly from P4P (Pound for Pound; the agency that represents Raul Hughes) earlier this morning and appears to tout the new partnership between WAR and the "Demolition Expert" Raul Hughes. While the information certainly stinks of bland PR jabber, there are several rumors floating throughout the ether that Hughes' contract stands as one of THE most lucrative in company history. In reality, such a contract may have been needed given the ugly divorce between the two after a one-off partnership at WAR's first-pay-per-view event "World War III".

Additional rumors place Raul Hughes as the possible 3rd partner of Art Reed & Chris Caulfield in this week's "Battleground" main event. This has not been confirmed or denied but has grown with strength as of late.

Tune into "Battleground" this week in which to see the shocking return of the "Demolition Expert" to Wrestling Action in Revolt!!

The 14th episode of Wrestling Action in Revolt "Battleground" will be up tomorrow night (Friday) for those interested in reading!

Episode #14 is one more step toward the upcoming WAR PPV - "Extreme Measures". With that said, following show, there will be one more "Battleground" episode (#15) before we finally get to said PPV event. So, we're getting close!

All in all, I just wanted to give a heads up to those who are wanting to give "Battleground" a read! As a hype of sorts, this weeks episode deals A LOT with the continuation of the Sons of Anarchy storyline & also has the HUGE re-debut of Raul Hughes. Honestly, I think it all came together pretty well!

Backstage Skit

Involved: Raul Hughes and Mitch Naess

“Big Time”

{“Battleground” opens with the sight of the “Demolition Expert” Raul Hughes entering the Empire Hotel & Casino to MUCH fanfare. With camera lenses flashing from every which direction, the MMA standout is obviously perceived as a HUGE star in Sin City due to his long-standing fights in the city. None the less, as he finally moves past the craziness outside, ushered into a back hallway by a number of nameless WAR suits, Mitch Naess is shown springing out from a nearby doorway to catch the scoop. Wondering how that’s possible given his position behind the desk currently? The “earlier today” text in the corner of the screen lets you know.}

[Mitch Naess]:
Why would you return to WAR after taking it to the company in a HIGHLY publicized manner the last time around?

{Nothing from Hughes. His pitch black sunglasses masks whether or not he’s even paying attention to Naess.}

[Mitch Naess]:
Did you make amends with Mr. Stallings?

{Still nothing from Hughes as he continues to walk on.}

[Mitch Naess]:
I know your rep team has been VERY hush-hush over your return to the company but is there ANYTHING you can tell us? Anything at all?

{Nothing from Hughes as he continues to walk with a confident swagger.}

[Mitch Naess]:
Just answer this… Will you be teaming with Chris Caulfield and Art Reed in the main event tonight? They’re down one man & there are rumors floating around that you’ve ALREADY agreed to the match. Is that true?

{Without stopping, Hughes responds; however, not in a very interactive manner. If anything, it sounds much like ‘rep team speech’ (PR) coming from his less than enthused lips.}

[Raul Hughes]:
It’ll all iron itself out tonight… you’ll get your answers then.

[Mitch Naess]:
What does that mean!?

{Naess looks confused; however, gets nothing else from the MMA stand-out. Instead, the “Demolition Expert” is, once again, shown ushered into another back hallway for which Mitch is obviously not invited. Ultimately, the scene closes with the sight of Naess standing rather confused and dejected.}

Genio Verde:
Wait to get your SCOOP!! MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!

Mitch Naess:
Shutup! He wasn’t giving ANYTHING away…

Genio Verde:
Well, there goes a respectable journalist career down the toilet for you, Huh?!

Mitch Naess:
You’re NEVER going to get the REAL word from Raul Hughes. It’s impossible. He’s so insolated by his rep team, so produced from EVERY angle, that he’s not even a real man anymore. He’s a part of a PR machine; the “Demolition Expert” brand. Honestly, I WANT to believe that he’s here to help WAR in it’s battle against the SoA but, truthfully, I think he’s only here for the money & publicity. If so, he’s not going to fight with the kind of fervor we need out of him.

Genio Verde:
The ANSWERS are coming; it seems! We’ll find out TONIGHT!

Mitch Naess:
Just do the right thing, Raul… do the right thing…

Six-Way Battle Royal

Over-the-Top-Rope Elimination

WAR Blitzkrieg Championship Match

“Cougar holds on; barely…”

The battle royal concept has typically been seen as a heavyweight's haven. That said, "Battleground" opens this week with a defiant spin on tradition; putting forth a 6-man, over-the-top, battle royal populated with the explosive men of the WAR Blitzkrieg division. Using every ring rope, every turnbuckle, these six-men do their very best to take to the air as much as possible without leading to a 'crash and burn' scenario with their elimination. That said, these suicidal six walk the proverbial line with every passing second; tip-toeing between elimination and high-impact moves that bring them closer to such. As the members of the match are forcibly removed from the ring, a theme appears to be forming: Snap Dragon and the newfound WAR wrestler Insane Machine seem to be working as one. Their joint unforgiving onslaught proves to be QUITE successful as, in the end, the three-remaining wrestlers are: Snap Dragon, Insane Machine, and WAR Blitzkrieg Champion Masked Cougar. With such odds, given what we've seen up until now, it's almost expected that either Dragon or Machine will walk out with the gold. Shockingly enough though, teetering on death's door if you will, intensely depleted physically, Masked Cougar finds a way to reverse a powerbomb attempt by Snap Dragon; throwing him over the top rope with a back-body drop. Alone with Insane Machine, Cougar would bounce back with a jaw-dropping 2nd wind; one for which Insane Machine matches quite well. In the end though, only moments after the removal of Snap Dragon, before his ally can even return to his feet and possibly help, Cougar is shown sending his last challenger over-the-top-rope with a running springboard hurricanrana at a reckless speed. Before Machine can even make sense of what's happening, he's over the top rope and crashing to the floor upon his Coastal Zone ally, Snap Dragon.

Winner:
Masked Cougar retains the WAR Blitzkrieg Championship via elimination

Ending Maneuver:
Running Springboard Hurricanrana on Insane Machine

Ending Time:
6:29

Note:
This marks Masked Cougar’s 3rd successful defense of the WAR Blitzkrieg Championship!

GRADE:
D+

Mitch Naess:
I didn't know if he could do it but, tonight, I've learned my lesson for the LAST time. No matter what's before him, what challenges he faces, how BAD he's been beaten to a pulp, Masked Cougar ALWAYS finds a way to come out on top. He's got that inner-cat mentality to ALWAYS end up on his feet & there's no denying that now. The winner and STILL... Your WAR Blitzkrieg Champion... Masked... Cougar!

Genio Verde:
Always comes out on top? We'll see about that one...

Mitch Naess:
I saw this once before and I vowed not to play dumb again. Are you coming after Cougar? That statement seems to sound like you are.

Genio Verde:
I don't need to... I KNOW his days are numbered!

Mitch Naess:
What does that mean?

Genio Verde:
That's for ME to know... and for YOU... to find out with the REST of these idiots! MUA HA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
I don't like the sound of that...

"Love Jungle" Skit

Involved: Ricky Love, The SoA (Troy Tornado©, Nemesis, and Leper Messiah), and Chris Caulfield

“SoA meets Love...”

{We return from a short promotional break about WAR’s upcoming PPV event – “Extreme Measures” – In which to see the towering, loveable, dude-like character in Ricky Love standing in the ring. Surrounded by the tacky “Love Jungle” set, equip with leopard-print carpeting on the canvas and a number of lava lamps each and every direction, Love appears to be in a state of blissful calm. None the less, as he raises the microphone up to his mouth to speak, the crowd joins in on his typical opening phrase; all saying it in unison.}

[Ricky Love]:
Yea man…

{The crowd says ‘yea man’ with him in unison.}

[Ricky Love]:
People have been saying that my “Love Jungle” has been unsuccessful since I came to WAR. Dharma attacked her own brother, Eric Tyler used the show to sneak-attack Rex, and very little LOVE has actually been felt. Well, I don’t see it that way… I see it as a chance to GROW!
{Nods his head; smirking lazily}
Yea man… The “Love Jungle” has gone through some bumps but it’s back full-force here tonight and I promise you, this time around, we’re going to make some REAL headway!

{The crowd lightly pops for Ricky as the big-man stands in a lazy-cool fashion; very California-style dude.}

[Ricky Love]:
Yea man… I thought tonight we’d put LOVE to the test!
{Nods his head as he lazily smirks}
WAR has been going through a little bit of a bummer phase as of late. Yea, totally. Everything is upside down and I thought I’d reach out to those who have put it into a tailspin. That’s right, tonight… My guests are no other than… The Sons of Anarchy!!

{The crowd boos like crazy as Ricky actually looks to pleasantly bring them to a halt.}

[Ricky Love]:
Yea man… I get it… I KNOW… They’ve made some BAD choices since coming together in WAR but, honestly, underneath it all, they’re ALL just looking for a little LOVE! That’s why the “Love Jungle” is going to attempt to bridge our gap and fix these problems! So, without further ado, put your LOVING hands together for Leper Messiah, Wrestling LEGEND Nemesis, and WAR Champion, Troy Tornado… The Sons of Anarchy!!!

{The crowd boos like crazy as a newly created heavy metal theme song begins to blare over the OMEGA sound system. Within moments, the vile trio of Tornado, Nemesis and Messiah are shown walking through the “Gates of WAR” and overtaking the ringside area. While they don’t walk as one, staggered as they enter the ring, their weak cohesion doesn’t appear to mess with their success. None the less, as they enter the ring, Ricky goes to speak; however, finds a pretty quick exit in his OWN segment…}

[Ricky Love]:
Yea….

{Ricky never got to ‘man’ this time around. Instead, the big-man is violently floored through the middle-ropes (and to the floor) by a vicious big-boot by Leper Messiah square to his jaw. Without skipping a beat, as Tornado picks up the microphone left by the fallen Love, Leper Messiah is shown staring off in the distance in a detached manner and Nemesis adds insult to injury by doing a walk-by spit, over the top rope, onto the fallen Love outside the ring.}

[Troy Tornado]:
Now that that’s taken care of…

{Tornado relays in a lazy fashion as a devilish smirk resides upon his face. Meanwhile, the crowd is heard booing like crazy.}

[Troy Tornado]:
Let’s get onto the business, shall we?
{Pauses}
Another week… the same result… Wrestling Action in Revolt is in a BAD way… but what are YOU going to do about it? Huh?
{Looks out to the crowd}
Are YOU going to pick up a chair and help save this piece of sh*t company?
{Crowd boos; Tornado smirks lazily}
Hell, which one of YOU in the crowd is going to step-up and join Reed and Caulfield in tonight’s main event?!
{Smirks}
There ‘aint a single dip-sh*t in the back whose going to do it… You see, they’re all SCARED. They KNOW that this place is burning to the ground and they don’t’ want to get stuck in the middle of the inferno. They KNOW they can’t stop us… and neither can ANY of you.
{Pauses; crowd boos}
Let’s look past tonight’s main event because, let’s face it, you’ve got NOBODY in your corner…. BUT… “Extreme Measures”… it’ll be myself and Caulfield… The battle where all HELL will break loose!
{Crowd pops}
Now, I get it… I know your game Caulfield… you’re bat-sh*t-crazy… and that MAY freak some people out, get in their head, but that ‘aint me. You see, I’ve OWNED this place since it’s doors first opened… When you were hugging out-of-shape, past-their-prime, hasbeens down south… I was knockin’ EVERY… SINGLE… CHALLENGER DOWN!
{Pauses; smirks}
You’ll be no different and tonight… I’m going to give you a quick snap-shot of the damage you’re about to feel.
{Pauses}
You ‘aint got NOTHIN’ on me… never have… never will…

{Tornado goes to hand the mic over to Nemesis in a lazy fashion; however, before he can do so, the sound of Chris Caulfield’s classic rock theme blares over the OMEGA sound system. Within seconds, Caulfield comes stomping out of the back with an aggressive snarl upon his face & “Rusty” in his hands. Before you know it, as he enters the ring, alone more or less, Caulfield attempts to take on the SoA all on his own; however, is quickly disposed of.}

{He puts up a hell of a battle, never quite slowing down despite being overrun from the get-go, but the sheer numbers game is enough to keep the “Extreme ICON” on the canvas more so than not. In the end, it’s a sickening double-handed Chokeslam by the detached psychopath in Leper Messiah that brings it all to the end. Seconds later, as Tornado kneels down next to the fallen Caulfield, laughing arrogantly as he leaves a message for him off-microphone, Nemesis gets onto the mic and looks out before the booing crowd in a defiant manner.}

[Nemesis]:
Come one… come ALL…
{Pauses; evil snarl follows}
We’ll knock EVERY ONE OF YOU… DOWN!!
{Pauses}
I hope you’re watching from your hospital bed, Stallings. I want to MAKE SURE you see what we have in STORE for WAR here tonight!!

{With that, Nemesis throws the microphone down on the canvas as the crowd boos like crazy. Seconds later, the new SoA heavy-metal theme begins to blare once again as the loose alliance staggers around the ring in their own independence; Nemesis snarling toward the crowd, Leper Messiah staring off in a detached manner, and Troy Tornado pointing to the WAR Championship as he kneels next to the fallen Chris Caulfield.}

Mitch Naess:
What does Nemesis mean by that; “What we have in STORE for WAR here tonight”? What the HELL are they planning now? Also, where was Caulfield’s back-up? Is he REALLY the only man on the roster willing to stand-up to the SoA? Come on boys!! Step it up!! WAR is on the verge of burning to the ground!! We NEED you NOW; more than EVER!!

Genio Verde:
You’re asking the fearful to defend WAR? You may as well burn this place to the ground YOURSELF!! MUA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
There has to be SOMEONE willing to stand up to this!!! “Battleground” has been overrun, WAR’s owner has been placed in the hospital for the 2nd time in about a month, and now it looks like NO ONE is willing to defend the HONOR of WAR!! Maybe, just maybe, Raul Hughes DID come back to save us from the SoA?!?! I don’t care if it was MONEY that brought him back… Just so long as he knocks the HELL out of those a$$holes!!

Backstage Attack w/ Promo

Involved: Puerto Rican Power, The Ring Generals © + Doc Messing,

“ONLY kids on the Block; that matter!”

{We transition backstage in which to witness the stark contrast between a 2-on-1 beatdown by the Ring Generals upon Puerto Rican Power and the calm, if not weasely, nature of Doc Messing standing before the action. With his fingers crossed in a ‘power manner’, his back to the attack taking place, Doc projects a snarky kind of smirk that many would LOVE to knock square off his face. That said, as he begins to speak in his ultra-arrogant, talking down to the viewing public, kind of manner, the attack behind him continues to stand as quite vicious in nature; Slater & Waldorf using their numbers game to beat the much bigger PRP down to the cement floor below.}

[Doc Messing]:
Why… That’s the question of the hour, isn’t it?
{Pauses}
Well, it’s really quite simple and you would KNOW the reasoning if you all weren’t so STUPID! This generation of ADD, me-me-me, lost in technology bull-sh*t has come to a point where their blatant stupidity is unable to be hidden much longer. Case and point… The new pairing of Brutus O’Leary and Puerto Rican Power.
{Pauses}
You ALL cheered at the notion of these two forming as one. You EVEN went as far as to call them the GREATEST tandem in WAR; just so long as they can stay on eachother’s good-side & not beat the living snot out of one another again.
{Shakes his head slowly in disgust}
All signs of your stupidity. You see, the ONLY tag team in WAR that ACTUALLY means ANYTHING are these men behind me… The WAR Tag Team Champions… The Ring Generals!

{Power is able to wrestle himself free at one point & even grabs the back of Doc’s jacket; however, before any damage can be done, PRP is again knocked to the ground by the vicious championship pairing. In doing so, adjusting his coat in a calm manner, almost as if none of that even happened, Doc continues on.}

[Doc Messing]:
I’m starting to believe that you don’t DESERVE a tag team like the Ring Generals; that you’re ALL to brain-dead to realize just how GOOD they really are. You’d rather throw your support behind a pair of heard-headed punks with a thirst for blood. When, in reality, you have THE greatest up-and-coming tag team in ALL of professional wrestling already at your feet. The team that will SINGLE-HANDEDLY SAVE tag team wrestling & restore it’s place amongst the greats of our industry.
{Pauses}
So, do you STILL want to cheer for those talentless HACKS; O’Leary and Power?
{Crowd pops}
Cheer all you want… REAL wrestlers don’t need any support from ANY of you! Before you know it, you’re new ‘favorite tag team’ will be JUST like the others before it… on-their-backs… in the center of the ring… watching as the RING GENERALS celebrate ANOTHER victory!

{As Doc closes his speech, his calm, snarky, demeanor stands in direct contrast to the final vicious blow levied by the Ring Generals upon PRP. In one swoop, the brutish Power is simply unable to stop his attackers & is ultimately thrown head first into the cement wall behind him; leaving a splotch of blood in the process. Meanwhile, as the Ring Generals stand over their fallen victim, high-fiving one another as they breath rather heavily from their attack, Doc simply stares upon the lens as if he couldn’t be prouder.}

Mitch Naess:
This must be the ‘splash’ the Ring Generals were hinting to on Tweeter the past few weeks. O’Leary and Power came together as allies & turned WAR on it’s head with the possibility of what they could do as one. Now, it seems like over the last few weeks, the Ring Generals became proactive about the whole ordeal; attacking O’Leary last week and now doing the same to Power tonight. A ballsy play if you ask me… This may have been a can of worms that they simply cannot close…

Genio Verde:
I wonder if Power will be able to compete tonight in the “Clash of Nations” semi-final? If not, an EASY win for Mexico!! MUA HA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
Oh, that’s right… Well, if there’s ANYTHING I Know about PRP, the man will NEVER quit. Injured or not; Power will be out there tonight. It may not be the smartest decision in the world but that’s just how he’s wired…

Genio Verde:
Wired for suicide?

Mitch Naess:
I suppose you could say that…

Gorgon
w/Ravyn
vs.
"Ms. Perfect"
Suzi Stepford

Singles Match

“DOMINATE!!”

Suzi Stepford, with her blank, comedic, perfect-woman stare really didn't stand a chance from the very get-go. It's easy to see that she has talent, despite her pleasant checked-out demeanor, but said talent doesn't get much time to show itself. Instead, the stocky powerhouse that is Gorgon is shown physically handling the blonde beauty like a rag-doll in a dominating fashion. At one point, WAR Femme Fatale Champion Joanne Rodriguez speeds out of the back in hopes of revenge but the spunky brawler only has enough gas for a few good licks; a fact that drives the WAR referee Jay Fair to call for the bell due to DQ interference. In the end though, J-RO finds the same fate as last week once again; violently crushed by the immense weight of Gorgon. Standing over her victims, Gorgon snarls down upon the fallen J-RO and Suzi Stepford with a victory via DQ.

Winner:
Gorgon via DQ interference from Joanne Rodriguez

Ending Maneuver:
Interference from Joanne Rodriguez upon Gorgon

Ending Time:

Note:
Gorgon and Suzi Stepford have good chemistry as opponents

Mitch Naess:
I don't know if I've EVER seen someone as DOMINATING as Gorgon in women's wrestling. I mean, J-RO is not only the WAR Femme Fatale Champion but ALSO one tough-cookie and she was only able to get a few good strikes in before getting her clock-cleaned. Man-alive... I don't know where Ravyn found her (Gorgon) but damn... That's one HELL of a weapon to have at your beckon call.

Genio Verde:
It takes brains to control brawns...

Mitch Naess:
Well put, Genio...

Genio Verde:
Of COURSE it is!! I know ALL!! MUA HA HA HA HA!!

Post-Match Promo

Involved: Ravyn + Gorgon and Joanne Rodriguez ©

“Dirty Work!”

{The match has come to a close but the violence certainly has not. J-RO puts together a rather spunky brawling attempt but is eventually floored by the overwhelming power of Gorgon. That said, at points, she had her reeling.}

{Following an epic fall-away-slam after catching J-RO off the ropes, Gorgon ultimately grabs for her hair once again but is stopped by a single snap of the fingers from Ravyn. In doing so, Gorgon backs away with her arms crossed, yet her eyes fixated on J-RO, as Ravyn kneels down next to their fallen prey with a microphone in hand.}

[Ravyn]:
You in there?.... Hey…
{Slaps the fallen J-RO mercilessly}
I SAID… Are you in there?
{Chuckles in an unsettling manner to herself}
They’ve told me EVERYTHING about you, Joanne. THEY know your inner most secrets… your inner more desires… your inner most… fears.
{Pauses; unsettling grin forms upon her face}
I plan on using ALL of that to destroy you; to teach you a LESSON!!
{Slaps J-RO again}
SL*TS finish LAST!!!
{Slaps J-RO two more times in rapid succession; Joanne rolls over coughing}
Your reckoning is coming to you at “Extreme Measures”… not from me… NO… but from HER…
{Points back at Gorgon}
You MAY be the Femme Fatale Champion right now but not after SHE gets done with YOU…
{Pauses}
Then, with you no longer here, no longer breathing, no longer a thought in ANYONE’S MIND… It’ll be I who takes control of the Femme Fatale Championship. Yes… ME… ME… ME… ME….MEEE!!!
{Pauses; grins}
Prepare for the end, Joanne… prepare… FOR… GORGON!!!

{With that, Ravyn lands one last slap across the face of the fallen J-RO. The crowd ultimately boos in a lackluster fashion as Ravyn rises from her knee; smirking devilishly as it seems as though she’s not really all there. Meanwhile, Gorgon continues to stare down upon J-RO with a vicious snarl upon her face; crossing her arms in a menacing fashion.}

Backstage Skit

Involved: Chris Caulfield and Art Reed

“We’ve gotta get past this sh*t!”

{We transition backstage in which to see a stone-faced Art Reed putting on his rather bland black wrestling attire as the sight of the “Extreme ICON” Chris Caulfield is shown walking in. The crowd pops rather loudly (watching this on the Stallings tron at ringside), obviously excited; however, Reed doesn’t appear as much. The two meet nose-to-nose as Caulfield is the first (and really only one) to break the silence.}

[Chris Caulfield]:
We’ve got some sh*t to iron out…

{Crowd pops as the two stare one another down nose-to-nose for a while longer.}

[Chris Caulfield]:
I get it. I cost you… you cost me… it could go back and forth forever.
{Pauses}
The thing is, the longer we keep going at eachother’s throats… the longer the SoA gets their way. Now, I don’t know about you but I can’t STAND those punks gettin’ their way much longer.
{Pauses}
So let’s drop this bull, shake hands like men, and kick a little teeth in…

{Caulfield extends his right hand out to shake Reed’s; however, Art doesn’t budge. Instead, the stone-faced technition stares directly into the eyes of the “Extreme ICON”; obviously not trusting Caulfield at this point given their past.}

[Chris Caulfield]:
You don’t gotta like me, Reed… Honestly… A lot of people don’t…
{Slight chuckle to himself}
I get that… I own that…
{Pauses}
What I’m asking you to do is put aside this little thing we’ve got until AFTER the coast is clear. We can get back to that back-and-forth bull-sh*t at THAT time… but for now… we’ve got a bunch of a$$holes to put in their place.
{Pauses}
You don’t have to like me… but we’ve GOT to do somethin’…

{After a long stare-down once again, Reed slowly extends his right hand out and shakes Caulfield’s. The crowd pops at the sight of this. Meanwhile, as the scene slowly fades to commercial break, we witness the sight of Caulfield backing away nodding his head in confidence as Reed continues to peer stone-faced.}

Mitch Naess:
While I don’t really think their truce will hold up for long given their past here in WAR, I AM excited at the possibilities in the short-term. The SoA has had their way with this ENTIRE company since their debut last month. It’s about DAMN time that someone finally stand up to them!

Genio Verde:
You’re going to need MUCH more than just THOSE TWO to stop the SoA!

Mitch Naess:
While true, it’s a start!!

Genio Verde:

"The Traditionalist"
Eric Tyler vs.
"Big... Bad..."
Rex

Singles Match

“Knowledge is Power!”

Rex wants to get his hands on Eric Tyler; that's pretty obvious. Despite being known for a stoic sense of sternness, the man we've dubbed as "Big... Bad..." Rex comes firing straight out of the gate with a hefty dose of power-moves/strikes. While it's impressive to say the least, throwing around a LEGEND in Tyler, the roaring behemoth ultimately finds a dreaded equalizer to his immense strength; the devious mind of the "Traditionalist". Before you know it, Tyler has forced the big-man to the canvas with a string of impacts upon Rex' right knee (ie: chop-block, knee stomps, leg DDT, running kick to the back of the leg, etc.). He would return to his feet every once in awhile, even flooring Tyler in the process; however, more so often than not, his depleted knee is simply unable to keep the massive weight of the big-man upright. With that in mind, as the match progresses, Rex continues to spend more time on the canvas than not; a sight that's truly shocking to say the least. None the less, as Tyler continues to pick away on his immobilized rival, it's the use of a figure-four-leg-lock that ultimately does the MOST damage. It doesn't last very long, as Rex is still able to break out of the hold with the sheer power of his tree-trunk sized legs, but for the short-time that it's administered, all of 15-seconds, the damage has certainly hit him to the core.

At a point of desperation, Rex is able to return to his feet, flooring Tyler after a string of power strikes, and actually locks in his signature "D.O.I. (Dead on Impact)" (Power Spinebuster) but eventually drops Tyler due to his knee giving way once again. Before you know it, with a devilish grin upon his face, Tyler quickly takes control of his depleted opponent; executing a stiff DDT upon the half-kneeling Rex. The impact, while not KO'ing the big-man, is enough to score a standard 3-count following a quick pinfall attempt. As expected, the crowd stands as somewhat shocked by seeing Rex actually lose a match.... even against someone as technically profound as Eric Tyler.

Winner:
Eric Tyler via pinfall

Ending Maneuver:
Stiff DDT upon an injured and kneeling Rex

Ending Time:
8:11

Note:
Rex got a lot of static from the crowd who were clearly not impressed

GRADE:

Mitch Naess:
Well I'll be damned... Eric Tyler actually BEAT Rex.... I mean... I'm not shocked, as he's one of the best technical wrestlers of our time, but, for awhile now, it's almost seemed impossible to beat the big-man.

Genio Verde:
Impossible? It wasn't even THAT hard of a game-plan. It's classic wrestling 101. Want to slow someone down? Take out their knee. Simple... but BRILLIANT!!

Mitch Naess:
It seems as though brains really DID beat brawn tonight... I've got to give it to Tyler; as much as I HATE to say that. While he's gotten older, he's become THAT much more smarter. He broke the big-man down & snuck a win out here tonight.

Genio Verde:
It's the extinction of REX!!

Post-Match Promo

Involved: Eric Tyler and Rex

“Exposed”

{Rex clenches his right knee in an obvious show of pain as he looks as though he could rip said limb off in a brutish fashion to bring about it’s end. Meanwhile, as Rex struggles to simply return to his feet & walk off the pain, a fact that is consistently unsuccessful as he seemingly can’t put ANY weight on the injured leg, Eric Tyler is shown grabbing a nearby microphone. With a smug grin running across his face, Tyler verbally attacks the big-man as he slowly steps toward his injured rival with a sense of high confidence.}

[Eric Tyler]:
This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. I’ve been telling you ALL that Rex was nothing more than a one-trick-pony but I understand… Actions speak louder than words. Tonight, I showed you ALL, even YOU Rex, first-hand that sheer power is simply not enough; especially when matched with great expertise.
{Pauses}
You’ve steamrolled your way through the competition since coming to WAR but, in reality, you got lucky every time. You were LUCKY that everyone you faced was too STUPID to realize your weakness; to realize that, once your power was equalized, you were nothing more than a towering punching bag.
{Chuckles; crowd boos}
So how does it feel to have EVERYTHING you’ve known, EVERYTHING you’ve relied upon in the past, crumble to the ground in a matter of minutes?
{Pauses}
Don’t worry, you’re not the first of your kind… I’ve been handing out wresting lessons for quite some…

{Before Tyler can finish, as he leans in closer to Rex in which to spit his holier-than-thou promo, Rex is shown reaching out and grabbing the “Traditionalist” by the throat. Clenching in hopes of popping his head off, Rex ultimately throws Tyler across the ring in one powerful throw; however, upon it’s completion, he’s also shown crashing to the canvas as his knee simply cannot keep him upright.}

{Tyler coughs for a few brief seconds upon impact; however, eventually blurts out in a state of unsettling laughter as he slowly returns to his feet. Without going back on the microphone, it’s quite obvious why Tyler is laughing. Rex got his hands on him; however, after one throw, he was unable to capitalize as his body had crashed to the canvas in a thunderous heap soon thereafter. From there, Tyler is shown exiting the ring, back-peddling up the rampway, as he has escaped the potential of an attack by Rex. That said, the devilish grin upon his face tells of a man who’s more than confident now seeing exactly HOW limited Rex really is when his knee is not 100%.}

GRADE:
C

Mitch Naess:
I don’t know if public humility is the best decision on Tyler’s part here. Once Rex IS 100%, hell once he can get his hands on him again 100% or not, I foresee the “Traditionalist” becoming… History!

Genio Verde:
Really? After ALL of what we saw tonight, you’re STILL sticking to that?

Mitch Naess:
Tyler DID expose Rex here tonight, shockingly enough, but I still place my bet on “Big… Bad…” Rex 9 out of 10 times. This isn’t Eric Tyler in his 20’s, 30’s, or hell… even his 40’s. There’s NO WAY that he can keep up once Rex gets back on his feet. That’s why he back-peddled away. He escaped the beatdown this time around but it’s coming… and when it does… We may NEVER see Eric Tyler again!

Genio Verde:
You’ll put your money on Rex 9 out of 10 times when up against Tyler? Well… There’s a reason YOU’RE NOT the Genius here!

Mitch Naess:
You may be a genius in name, Verde… but you’ve got a BETTER chance of being called a MAD-MAN than a true genius!

Genio Verde:
Same thing! MUA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

{We transition backstage now in which to see the child’s playground that is J.K. Stallings Jr.’s office in a state of complete destruction. With literal holes in the wall put there by the sledgehammer in Tornado’s hand no doubt, pictures of the pint-sized WAR owner shattered and lying on the floor in every direction, Stallings’ action figures thrown about the room in pieces, and his once pristine executive desk standing as a charred ruin due to the flames that STILL ravage it’s existence, the remaining symbol of Stallings’ rule over Wrestling Action in Revolt appears to be overwhelmed by anarchy.}

{As Nemesis sits behind the flaming desk, barely visible behind the flames, the Wrestling LEGEND stares directly into the camera lens with a truly devilish smirk upon his face.}

[Nemesis]:
You know, Stallings… This could have ALL gone differently. It was YOUR decision to fire me a few months ago and now… It’s YOU that are feeling the effects of the fire!

{Nemesis begins to cackle in a husky, unsettling, fashion as he slams his fist down upon the flaming desk below. In doing so, a corner of the flame seems to shoot up in a thunderous fashion; creating a very menacing sight none the less. In the end, as he continues to laugh square into the camera lens, flames before his face, the remaining members of the SoA (Troy Tornado and Leper Messiah) are shown going ‘back to work’ in destroying Stallings office. Broken windows, burning books, and torn WAR logos are shown all throughout the room as the vile trio does their very best to mercilessly destroy the theoretical heart of WAR; it’s owner’s office.}

Arrest them if you’d like but WAR is STILL on a ride to HELL!

El Platinum-ay
w/Jennifer Heat
vs. Puerto Rican Power

Singles Match

"Clash of Nations" Semi-Final Match

“Viva La Mexico!”

Unlike last week, El Platinum-ay doesn't walk away this time around. That said, it's not that he didn't try. Still playing the 'frustrated card', growing increasingly annoyed that his high-impact approach is ultimately thwarted continually by the sheer power game of Puerto Rican Power, the Sin City Champion resorts to cheap-strikes rather early in the match (ie: eye-pokes, low-blows, and eye-raking all as Jay Fair isn't looking). As expected, this only pushes Power toward a state of stern anger; a fact that brings about an even MORE menacing power-game. That said, it's not PRP's typical strength but a fraction of sorts due to the earlier attack by The Ring Generals on an already injured shoulder. At one point, touching upon this, PRP is shown actually executing his signature "San Juan Rush" (Spear) around the 10-minute mark; however, the impact is severely lessened by the sheer lack of power in his shoulder. Wincing through a pinfall attempt, El Platinum-ay is eventually shown throwing his right foot upon the bottom rope in a lazy fashion; dazed but able not KO'ed due to the weakened impact of the move. In the end, it's his weakened state that ultimately gives 'LEGENDARY Luchador' the window for opportunity. Moving out of the way of another "San Juan Rush" (Spear) at the 15-minute mark, El Platinum-ay watches on as PRP connects with his injured shoulder upon the ring pole. Taking quick advantage, the Sin City Champion bounces off the nearby ropes and flips over in which to administer a frantic sunset flip. While in most cases, a sunset flip wouldn't be enough to put away the big-man, this time around it is. The reason? The lack of power in PRP's shoulder makes it impossible to jolt his arm free from being pinned down by Platinum-ay's leg.

Winner:
El Platinum-ay via flash-pinfall

Ending Maneuver:
Frantic sunset flip by Platinum-ay following a missed “San Juan Rush” into a turnbuckle by Power

Mitch Naess:
Puerto Rican Power came in injured tonight but he'd be the first to say that he won't allow ANY excuses. He came in here hoping to get his hands on Platinum-ay and he got exactly that. Sadly though, the Sin City Champion was quick on his feet and took advantage of an obvious injury in PRP.

Genio Verde:
I remember, as a child, being told of the triumphant story of El Platinum-ay overcoming a towering dragon with BOTH of his shoulders broken! He didn't whine about it... He stepped before the monster... saved the small mountain town... and took the dragon down all by himself! He's a GOD among men... A TRUE Mexican LEGEND!

Mitch Naess:
This is getting ridiculous...

Genio Verde:
How DARE you...

Mitch Naess:
It's James Prudence under that mask!! Come on!! Enough with this bull-sh*t!! EVERYONE knows that's who it is... Why are you ALL STILL continuing to pretend like he's some mythical Mexican LEGEND?!?! He's an annoying little prat who LOST a 'loser leaves WAR' match against Shawn Gonzalez, threw a generic mask on that he probably found in a back closet backstage, and now pretends to be something he's OBVIOUSLY not!!

Genio Verde:
James Prudence? Who is this James Prudence?

{Mitch dramatically drops his face into his hands upon the desk; shaking his head in the process.}

Pre-Match Skit

Involved: Art Reed and Chris Caulfield

“ALL Alone…”

{As Art Reed and Chris Caulfield stand in the ring across from the menacing trio of the Sons of Anarchy, it becomes rather obvious that NO ONE is coming to their aid. As the unsettling truth begins to become reality, there’s a chill running up the collective spine of all of those in attendance. That said, the combination of Reed & Caulfield don’t appear as overwhelmed. As the SoA smirks devilishly before them, arrogantly giddy over the carnage that’s about to take place, the two buckle down, in a sense, and fortify themselves for battle; defiant of the challenge that is the daunting numbers game.}

GRADE:
C-

Mitch Naess:
He didn’t come out…
{Starting to realize the unsettling truth}
After ALL of the hype, Raul Hughes DIDN’T come back to WAR to save us from the SoA. He had his chance and… well… he didn’t show. What the HELL are we going to do? Someone NEEDS to get OUT HERE… Reed & Caulfield can’t do this on their OWN!!

Genio Verde:
You better start planning their memorial right now, Mitch… Reed & Caulfield are practically on their DEATH BED ALREADY! MUA HA HA HA HA HA!! Look at that WAR pride! MUA HA HA HA HA!! NO ONE came out to SAVE THE DAY!! MUA HA HA HA HA HA!

{Naess gulps as he shakes his head in disbelief}

Art Reed & Chris Caulfield vs. The Sons of Anarchy (Troy Tornado, Nemesis, and Leper Messiah)

2 vs. 3 No Disqualification Tag Match

“To the rescue... or... Not...”

With no one at their side, Art Reed & Chris Caulfield are seemingly all alone in their fight against the SoA. Their fight is rather valiant in nature; however, before you know it, the team of WAR Champion Troy Tornado, Wrestling LEGEND Nemesis, and psychotic freak of nature Leper Messiah takes full-control of the match at hand. There are points for which Reed & Caulfield regain composure but, before you know it, their momentous ride would eventually fall-apart as the SoA would find anyway to derail such an outcome (even if it meant, which it most often did, to cheat their way into control). Toying with their prey if you will, the SoA puts forth an effort that proves them to be a TRULY dominant force. Even with Leper Messiah seeming like a loose ally, more so a mindless aggressor than a trusted partner, their sheer numbers advantage makes it almost impossible for any sort of a great showing from their opponents. That was until HE came out...

http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa445/WAR_Vegas/Wrestlers/RaulHughes.jpg

Raul Hughes adds himself to the match!

Coming through the "Gates of WAR" with a dominant step, Raul Hughes returns to WAR as he confidently storms the ringside area. Once in the ring, Hughes would lock eyes directly with the WAR Champion Troy Tornado. The down-and-dirty rocker motions for his men to back-off for a second as the two come nose-to-nose in the center of the ring; tension rising. Just when it looked like a fight between the two was almost CERTAIN to break-out, Hughes turns to the right and shockingly cold-clocks Art Reed square across the jaw with his signature "Demolition Left Hook" (Power Left Haymaker).

Mitch Naess:
NO!!!

Genio Verde:
MUA HA HA HA HA HA!!

Mitch Naess:
Raul Hughes just knocked Art Reed into NEXT WEEK!!!

Genio Verde:
MUA HA HA HA HA HA!!

Mitch Naess:
Hughes and the SoA.... Hughes and the SoA... He's GOT to be on THEIR side!!

The crowd boos like crazy as Tornado quickly, and rather arrogantly, drops upon the fallen Reed in which to administer a lazy pinfall attempt. That said, despite being rather lazy in nature, the pin is good enough to keep Reed down as he's simply not conscious anymore. As the final count is made, Hughes is already shown hugging his good-friend, and SoA member, Nemesis in the corner of the ring. Meanwhile, Leper Messiah continue his loose ally perception as he's not celebrating in the ring but rather beating upon the fallen Chris Caulfield outside of the ring (throwing him around the ringside area as he slams his massive fists into the depleted "Hardcore ICON").

Winner:
The SoA via pinfall (Nemesis, Troy Tornado, Leper Messiah, and Raul Hughes)

Ending Maneuver:
“Demolition Left Hook” (Power Left Haymaker) from Raul Hughes upon Art Reed

Ending Time:
10:54

Note:
Raul Hughes was ‘rusty’ in the ring but that should progress with more in-ring experience

GRADE:
C

Mitch Naess:
I THOUGHT Hughes had come back to SAVE WAR from Anarchy but... it looks like he's JOINED the Sons of Anarchy here tonight!

Genio Verde:
He's not here to SAVE WAR... He's here to DEMOLISH WAR!!! MUA HA HA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
What the HELL are WE going to DO?!?! Tornado, Nemesis, Messiah, and NOW... Hughes?!?! We're DOOMED!!

Genio Verde:
The END is NOW!!! MUA HA HA HA HA!!

Mitch Naess:
SERIOUSLY.... You MAY be RIGHT!! WAR NEEDS a Hero... Hell, HEROES!!!

Genio Verde:
They DON'T exist, Mitch!! That's the UGLY truth of this world... Heroes DON'T exist!! Only Evil!! EVIL will ALWAYS PREVAIL!! MUA HA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
If you're right... WAR will be NO more...

Genio Verde:
I'm ALWAYS right!

Mitch Naess:
I'm afraid of that...

Post-Match Celebration

Involved: The Sons of Anarchy (Troy Tornado ©, Nemesis, Leper Messiah, and Raul Hughes)

“The strong get STRONGER!”

{As the crowd boos like crazy, showering the SoA with a response fit for the greatest of SUPER HEEL factions, the dreaded foursome stands in an ultra-arrogant fashion within the ring. While they certainly don’t appear overtly unified, more allies of violence than friends, their sheer presence brings about an unsettling nature of what’s to come for WAR.}

{While trash is thrown into the ring, the final images of this week’s broadcast is that of the stronger SoA faction defiantly celebrating within the ring; taunting the crowd at every turn possible. Meanwhile, one member, Leper Messiah stands like a lifeless statue in the corner of the ring; not with the group as he blankly stares off in a comatose-like fashion; devoid of life it seems.}

GRADE:

Mitch Naess:
I can’t believe my eyes…

Genio Verde:
BELIEVE THEM!! MUA HA HA HA HA!

Mitch Naess:
Nemesis… Tornado… Messiah… and now… HUGHES?

We’re doomed!

Genio Verde:
I’ve been telling you THAT ALL ALONG!!

Mitch Naess:
Tune in next week folks… well… if there IS… a next week…

[The Professor's Review]
Wrestling Action in Revolt saw one of most anticipated debuts (re-debut in his case) in Raul Hughes on "Battleground". It was thought he may have been brought back in by J.K. Stallings Jr. in which to add some firepower against the vile Sons of Anarchy. Sadly, this wasn't the case. In one shocking moment, Raul Hughes stormed out of the back & single-handedly changed the course of WAR forever.

I have to say, I saw the Hughes turn from miles away. I mean, really? Are we supposed to expect that Hughes, someone who tore WAR apart in the media, would come back to SAVE them from the SoA? That said, they did a good job adding some ambiguity before what was expected came forth.

So, WHO will ultimately defend WAR from the foursome of Tornado, Nemesis, Messiah, and Hughes? Are there any more who will join the group & attempt to 'burn WAR to the ground'? So many questions... I hope we get our answers.

Live Notes

Puerto Rican Power appeared injured STILL

Gorgon and Suzi Stepford have 'good chemistry' as opponents

Raul Hughes was 'rusty' in the main event; however, that should get better with more matches under his belt

Rex continues to get A LOT of static from the vocal WAR crowd; this may be hurting his push

http://i1198.photobucket.com/albums/aa445/WAR_Vegas/WAR_alt3.jpg

Word out of WAR headquarters states that an impromptu meeting took place late last night between embattled company owner J.K. Stallings Jr. and members of the roster. While an actual guest list has not yet been disclosed, it’s been said that several ‘high ranking individuals’ attended said meeting & appear to be on-board with Stallings newfound message of defending their ‘home’.

As stated above, while the meeting is still rather ambiguous on many levels, the nature of the meeting is said to have been centered around defending WAR from the recent insurgency of Anarchy (ala the Sons of Anarchy).

In a brief statement to WAR-Wrestling.com earlier today, Mr. Stallings had THIS to say about the recent developments:

“The time is NOW to step-up and SAVE WAR from the evil hands of anarchy! I’ve stood aside, been a victim, for FAR too long. The fight starts today & there are many who agree with my call for action! We’ll either LIVE because we fought… or ‘die’ trying to defend these hollowed grounds. POWER-ON!”

The last part of Mr. Stallings statement was followed by a rather corny punch high in the air. Yes, even in a point of inspiration, it’s impossible to take the DORK out of Stallings.

With this in mind, can one man, a scrawny DORK by personal definition, rally the troops and SAVE WAR for Anarchy once and for all?

This meeting is the first sign that he’s TRYING to make that idea a reality…

YEAH! Go SoA! W00T!

I'm sorry, I shouldn't have been too drunk :p

Nice show, EV :)

Thank you, Sam!

Episode #14 was a lot of fun to write as the debut of Raul Hughes was something I was looking forward to for quite some time. Him joining SoA, over helping WAR challenge the SoA, was a story that seemed to perpetuate the 'doomsday' mentality formulating in WAR. In a sense, the collective thought was that it was once thought IMPOSSIBLE to stop the rise of Anarchy; however, now that Hughes is ALSO there, someone that many felt Stallings went out to get in which to hopefully keep the company together, pushed the meter directly in the SoA's corner.

I was starting to think that I was finishing out WAR without much in the way of readers; so, it's good to know that you enjoyed the show. Honestly, it seems like I can go a good week or so without much interaction these days. It can be a little tough to stay focused on the prize (finishing out with the PPV) to say the least (especially since I foresee this being my last project due to the rise in Grad work). It's been a LONG road (as it pertains to writing for TEW) but maybe this is the best way to 'go out'. The itch may not continue if I feel as though my time has come and gone (Speaking truthfully).

All in all, thank you for continuing to read as WAR comes to it's close! I really appreciate it!

I've decided that the final "Battleground" episode (#15; #30 overall) and Pay-per-view "Extreme Measures" will be presented in more of a re-cap fashion. With this, there won't be any pictures but I will do a bullet-point scenario where: what happened, the grade point of the segment, and key points are all laid out. From there, once I've exhausted both shows outcomes, for those interested, I'm going to let you know what my plans were for the future of WAR going forward (following "Extreme Measures"); how the SoA storyline was to play out, the rise of specific characters that I wanted to build, and the evolution of the company as a whole.

More or less, I now know that WAR has come to it's end after a very long year (October 12th will make it a full year of being up). With that in mind, I wanted to to make sure that it all ended in the best way possible (after spending SO much time on it for the last year).

I want to thank everyone who read this project, who commented, who predicted, and really... who supported me over the years here. I won't make this my 'goodbye'/retirement post right now; however, I just wanted to let you know that THIS was my approach leading into the end of WAR as an active diary.

Thank you!

A true epic is winding down and i'm sad about that. I can't complain though. This has become one of my favorite dynasties of all time, that's right ALL TIME!

It's been a great ride and i know that you need a break from it all. I also know that you can't stay too far away from it. I'm betting on more from you once 2013 hits. Till then, Thanks for a great read and i'll be here till you turn out the lights.

I haven't posted in a while, but I have to say, I hope you do a 2013 dynasty, because there are many features that seem to fit your play-style.

You know, it will be hard to 'stay away' once TEW 13 comes out, as I'm sure the creative juices will flow with a new database/features, but unless I have the time to really devote my thoughts/writing to a project, I don't know if that will come along. I've thought about it, if WAR would really be my last, and I guess that's always a hard thing to say. Unlike athletes, you never really lose the ability to write at a high-level (as like an athlete's body eventually tells them they must 'retire'). I guess the closest thing to that would be the lack of time present for the writer &, truthfully, I know that my time is very limited & it DOES force me to take bigger breaks when need be.

If 13' gets the juices flowing, there's a good chance it would HAVE to be a company without a TV deal or something. This would give me more in-between time to focus on one event at a time & not have to string along TV show after TV show into a pay-per-view. That said, I'm not really sure if the time will be there (as graduate school and family are my two top priorities here).

I thank you both (and all who read WAR) as this project has been one I've wanted to do for QUITE some time now. A good year of planning off-and-on before hand & then a year of actual dynasty development here on the board. That's a LONG time; the longest dynasty I think I've run in real-time. It's an awesome accomplishment personally & part of me wonders if THAT'S a good way to go out as well; happy with my production.

I guess we'll see. Either way though, thank you for your support guys. The results for the next two shows will be up in the new few days & the 'what would have happened' post will follow soon thereafter.

"Extreme Measures" (PPV)

["Battleground" Results]

  • "Battleground" opens with the chaotic sight of the
    Sons of Anarchy
    (a la Nemesis, Troy Tornado, Raul Hughes, and Leper Messiah)
    physically dismantling
    Jayson
    "Mr."
    Wright and Slick Rick
    before their opening bout can even take place. Arrogantly joking around like frat-boys during the attack (well, Nemesis and Tornado doing so) the WAR Champion Troy Tornado eventually gets the polarizing idea to force the already beaten Jayson Wright into an impromptu WAR Championship match.
    (C+)

  • Troy Tornado
    retains the WAR Championship in a one-sided beat-down of
    Jayson Wright
    in 7:40 via pinfall. This marks Tornado's 13th successful title defense of the WAR Championship.
    (C-)

  • WAR owner
    J.K. Stallings Jr.
    returns via an over-the-top entrance by landing a helicopter on the Vegas Strip. Once in OMEGA, deep in the basement of the Empire Hotel & Casino, the zany billionaire makes it known that A) Tornado will defend his WAR Championship against Caulfield at "Extreme Measures" in a 'Steel Hell' match in which to keep the 'riff-raff' out and B) that WAR has bound together to stomp out Anarchy for good! As you can expect, the
    SoA
    is unafraid and basically laughs him off.
    (C+)

  • The Underground Freaks (Snap Dragon & Insane Machine)
    defeated
    Masked Cougar & Velocidad
    in 6:51 via pinfall. In the end, Insane Machine gets the pinfall on Masked Cougar with a "Termination Kick".
    (D+)

  • A hype video is shown from the impromptu meeting called on by
    J.K. Stallings Jr.
    a few days ago to formulate a plan against the rise of the
    SoA
    .
    Art Reed, Brutus O'Leary, and Chris Caulfield
    are three people who are shown to for-sure be in said meeting. In closing, Caulfield is shown speaking with
    Mitch Naess
    before the ominous doors leading to the 'closed door' rondevoux. The "Extreme ICON" speaks about the meeting in more of a 'rah-rah' perspective than actual details; however, it seems like WAR is coming together to combat the rise of Anarchy.
    (C+)

  • Eric Tyler
    holds a promo backstage where he says he 'exposed'
    Rex
    last week for the one-trick-pony that he is. He continues with his 'knowledge trumps power' perspective & ultimately seems rather arrogant in the process.
    (B-)

  • The team of
    Rex, Brutus O'Leary, and Puerto Rican Power
    defeated the team of
    Eric Tyler & The Ring Generals
    in 9:31 via pinfall. In the end, Brutus O'Leary gets the pin on Dean Waldorf following a "Hyde Park Haymaker".
    (D+)

  • WAR Owner
    J.K. Stallings Jr.
    and WAR Sin City Champion
    El Platinum-ay
    meet backstage & have a comical back-and-forth about the current rise of Anarchy. Platinum-ay tries to tell Stallings of the story where he once fought the ocean from flooding Mexico (Yes... that's what happened) and how WAR ONLY needs Platinum-ay to RISE to the occasion. Stallings takes his perspective into mind & playfully skips along; oblivious to the Sin City Champion's bull.
    (B-)

  • WAR Femme Fatale Champion
    Joanne Rodriguez
    and her recent ally in
    Suzi Stepford
    get revenge on the twisted pairing of
    Ravyn & Gorgon
    with the help of an elaborate plan. Suzi distracts the two as J-RO storms in with a steel chair; ultimately flooring both Gorgon & Ravyn. As you can expect, it takes A LOT to knock Gorgon down but J-RO is able to do so with a spunky sense of fire.
    (C-)

  • Art Reed
    defeated
    Tui Tama
    in 8:23 via pinfall. In doing so, Canada//Art Reed moves on to face Mexico//El Platinum-ay at "Extreme Measures" in the finale of the "Clash of Nations" tournament.
    ©

  • A short hype video is shown depicting
    Raul Hughes
    as a holier-than-thou celebrity-like figure. While menacing in every sense of the word, his newfound gimmick appears to be this ‘larger-than-life’ persona who is profoundly arrogant about his public stature.
    (B)

  • Chris Caulfield
    defeated
    Raul Hughes
    in 15:54 via DQ due to interference from
    Troy Tornado, Nemesis, and Leper Messiah
    . The match is quite open but makes Hughes look particularly dangerous.
    ©

  • As the
    SoA
    continues to beat-down
    Chris Caulfield
    post-match,
    J.K.
    is shown practically bouncing with joy through the “Gates of WAR” calling upon his (and WAR’s) newfound allies. In doing so,
    Puerto Rican Power, Brutus O’Leary, and Rex
    are all shown storming out of the back to even-up the score. With that, a gigantic brawl between the two groups ends up closing “Battleground” leading into this Saturday’s PPV “Extreme Measures”.
